Packers’ Aaron Rodgers Recounts Story of UFO Sighting in 2005

Article by Jordan J. Wilson                                 September 30, 2020                                  (heavy.com)

• On September 29th, in a guest appearance on The Pat McAfee Show (see video below), Green Bay Packers veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers talked about a UFO he saw on a snowy night n New Jersey in 2005. The story has stuck with him throughout his NFL career.

• “I was in New Jersey with a teammate of mine, Steve Levy,” and Steve’s brother, began Rodgers. “[W]e saw a crazy thing in the sky that filled up most of the vantage point that we had. It was a snowy night, it was orange and moving in the clouds from left to right. And the bizarre part that was attached to it was that after it went out of sight and we were frozen looking at each other wondering what the hell just happened, about 30 seconds after that, we heard fighter jets. And you know, if you’ve seen a flyover or you’ve watched Top Gun or you’ve been to an air show, you know what that sounds like, the sound of a plane zipping by. It’s undeniable, and there were three of them that seemed to be chasing whatever this was.”

• Once Rodgers put the UFO story out there, it didn’t take long for Steve Levy to back up his version of the events with the only small amendment – it was in New York, not New Jersey. “Steve has been asked after I shared this on the podcast five years ago or so, he’s been asked to verify my story,” said Rodgers. “[A]nd thankfully, he did.”

• Levy’s version goes like this: “We started hearing this weird noise and we were like, ‘What the hell is that?; it’s 12:30-1 at night. We popped open the front door and we heard it, but it’s coming from the backyard. We go out to the backyard and before you know, within minutes we are in a daze because we are looking at something. It’s reddish, yellow, orange-ish and light, and it’s moving back and forth and peeking out of the clouds and going back. …It was absolutely unreal. I don’t know what it was — that’s why they are called unidentified flying objects.” Levy also insists both he and Rodgers were “completely, completely coherent” and not under the influence of any kind, as many have asked and assumed.

• “After that, I really got into researching that,” Rodgers continued, “because we had this story that we couldn’t explain that wasn’t in the papers the next day, that wasn’t in the papers the day after that, that was never really talked about, so it was something that I definitely got into and was interested more in and did some research over the years. Had some other interesting experiences as well, but that was probably the most vivid and expansive interaction that never got talked about or explained.” When McAfee pressed Rodgers for details about some of those ‘other interesting experiences’, the 36-year-old future Hall of Famer just smiled and told him “that’s for another time, Pat.”

• A 2019 Gallup poll found that 16% of Americans say they have “personally witnessed” a UFO, while 33% of US adults believe that some UFO sightings over the years have “in fact been alien spacecraft visiting Earth from other planets or galaxies.”

Fifteen years later, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers still wonders about what he saw in the clouds that snowy night in New Jersey.
Rodgers was asked about his UFO experience Tuesday during his weekly guest appearance on The Pat McAfee Show and recounted a story he told several years ago on a podcast with friend and comedian Pete Holmes, going into detail about the weird experience in 2005 that has stuck with him throughout his storied NFL career.

“Long before this happened 15 years ago, I told this story on the (You Made it Weird) Podcast with Pete

                        Steve Levy

Holmes, a comedian friend of mine,” Rodgers said. “I told a story about how I was in New Jersey with a (California) teammate of mine, Steve Levy, and Steve has been asked after I shared this on the podcast five years ago or so, he’s been asked to verify my story and, thankfully, he did.

But it was him and his brother at their house in Jersey, and we saw a crazy thing in the sky that filled up most of the vantage point that we had.

Rodgers and Levy are hardly alone when it comes to strange and inexplicable experiences with unidentified flying objects. A 2019 Gallup poll found that 16% of Americans say they have “personally witnessed” something they believed to be a UFO, while 33% of U.S. adults believe that some UFO sightings over the years have “in fact been alien spacecraft visiting Earth from other planets or galaxies.”

Regardless of where Packers fans fall on the subject of UFOs, it seems they would all agree these past fifteen years have been brighter with Rodgers in Green Bay — and, you know, not abducted aboard some supposed alien spaceship.

‘What Is the Alien Agenda?’ Asks Reader Who Witnessed ‘Air Battle Between Two UFOs’ 40 Years Ago

Article by Michael Alexander                                 September 26, 2020                                  (thecourier.co.uk)

• Malcolm Robinson is a Scottish UFO investigator, but somewhat of a skeptic, he says, because 95% of all UFO sightings can ultimately be explained. The glaring fact of this phenomenon is the enormous scale and secrecy. Reports of alien contact and craft sightings are world-wide, but their operations are still at the fringes of our awareness.

• Robinson himself saw an extraterrestrial craft forty years ago that was decidedly not military. He believes that aliens have almost certainly visited the Tayside and Fife regions of Scotland. Robinson says that the question is no longer “are we alone”? Instead we must ask “what is the alien agenda”?

• Australian investigator Phil Tindale also witnessed UFO craft forty years ago and is convinced we are not alone. The UFO question is “a question that we have ignored for the past 70 years,” he says. Actually, Tindale says that as 10-year-olds in the South Australian town of Aldgate, he and his twin brother Rob witnessed a “hostile chase between two highly advanced craft resulting in one of those craft crashing into a tree”. The crash was reported by a third witness who was able to have a close look at the craft which resembled an “eight metre long yellow speed boat from it’s under side”. But by the time police arrived, the object had disappeared leaving only unexplained broken branches. (see previous ExoArticle)

• Reported UFO cases date back to the 1500’s when townsfolk in Nuremberg, Germany witnessed a battle between celestial objects. It was reported in the broadsheet journals of the time.

• Then in the 1940’s, a new and increased wave of alien activity began. Pilots reported seeing strange spherical craft following them into battle during WW2 known as ‘Foo Fighters’. These were initially thought to be advanced Nazi technology.

• Then in 1947, the Roswell UFO crash was made famous by a military report printed in the local paper. The report was quickly redacted and replaced with an explanation involving a weather balloon. But first hand witnesses have since validated the initial report, leading to an explosion of conspiracies.

• In 1961 came the first report of an alien abduction, with Betty and Barney Hill providing compelling and consistent testimonies of the incident which occurred along a roadside late at night. They described being taken on board a craft and subject to various procedures. Subsequent investigations verified the Hill’s experience and left authorities scratching their heads.

• Even mass sightings have been reported on numerous occasions. One of the more compelling events occurred in in Ruwa, Zimbabwe in 1994 where a craft landed near the Ariel primary school. No less than 60 people witnessed the event. Humanoid entities disembarked from the craft and approached the children. Some witnesses reported telepathic communication that included a warning about humanity’s destructive trajectory. A number of investigators looked into the Ruwa event, including John E. Mack, head of Harvard Medical Psychiatry.

• The environmental message is now recognized as a common theme of the contact experience. “It is estimated that nearly 40% of people who have had alien contact receive some variation of an environmental message or warning, says Tindale. “Mass sightings and high quality witnesses have been useful in confirming the reality of the alien presence, but it is the individual and detailed accounts that provide better insight into what is truly going on.” The emerging picture is complex and incomplete. It shows multiple alien groups exist with different intentions, and varying degrees of interest in humanity’s well being, ranging from benevolent to hostile.

• Before Terry Lovelace became a lawyer, he was in the military. While serving in the US Army, Lovelace and a friend were camping at ‘Devils Den’ in Arkansas when they had a terrifying abduction experience which left Lovelace and his friend badly burned by radiation. Both were brutally interrogated and humiliated by the Army’s investigation unit. “It was made clear to them that the event was not to be discussed ever again,” says Tindale.

• Disagreement and even conflict between alien groups has been observed. Yet other people describe ongoing contact with entities that seem benevolent and appear to be concerned for our welfare. Reports describe varying physical features, while other extraterrestrials are indistinguishable from humans.

• “Many people are helped physically and spiritually by these contact events,” says Tindale. “Over half of all contact experiences are described as positive and nearly all communication is telepathic. “Telepathic ability seems to vary between alien groups, but it appears to be the galactic language.”

• Abductees describe being “willed” to perform tasks or comply with requests. The experience resembles a compelling need or a personal desire to obey. Some abductees report using their own will power to deny the alien requests, but claim that it is considerably difficult to do so.

• In May 2018, at Melkbosstrand South Africa, a witness described seeing a point in the sky that looked “crinkled”. Then from this small area a craft emerged into the atmosphere, and then three more objects chasing and attacking the first craft. Then a fleet of around 100 “cloaked” craft of varying shapes and sizes popped out of the sky, flying towards the horizon at incredible speed. Their color matched the blue sky but not perfectly. Some of the craft were so large they covered as much as 90 degrees of his field of vision. And all were totally silent.

• Knowledge of the UFO reality affects every aspect of our society. It challenges our beliefs in religion, science and even politics. We are now faced with arguably the greatest challenge in human history. One consolation is the common environmental interest that we share with these beings.

• It is not difficult to understand the secrecy, both from an extra-terrestrial perspective and from our own military’s point of view. Can we learn to appreciate the creatures that we share our planet with, and appreciate the value of our own beautiful Earth? Will this new reality change our view towards each other? Whether this intervention ultimately helps humanity or not, our response will be paramount.

Australian investigator Phil Tindale, who witnessed an “air battle between two UFOs” 40 years ago and is

                  Malcolm Robinson

interested in Scottish sightings, explains why he is convinced we are not alone.

Australian man Phil Tindale has good reason to have a strong interest in UFOs.

As 10-year-olds in the South Australian town of Aldgate just over 40 years ago, he and his twin brother Rob witnessed a “hostile chase between two highly advanced craft resulting in one of those craft crashing into a tree”.

The crash was reported by a third witness who was able to have a close look at the craft which resembled an “eight metre long yellow speed boat from it’s under side”.

                Betty and Barney Hill

However, by the time police arrived, the object had disappeared leaving only unexplained broken

                            Phil Tindale

branches.

Phil recently contacted The Courier from Australia after reading a Courier feature online about renowned Scottish UFO investigator and self-confessed UFO sceptic Malcolm Robinson who believes that aliens have almost certainly visited Tayside and Fife.

Like Malcolm, Phil has concluded 95% of UFO sightings are explainable by “natural identifiable solutions”.

         WWII “Foo Fighters”

However, he also takes the view that 5% fall into the unexplained category.

                     Terry Lovelace

Four decades on from his own experience, Malcolm says he is “100%” convinced what he saw was extra-terrestrial, and not military.

But he also believes the question is no longer “are we alone”. Instead we must ask “what is the alien agenda”?

“It’s a question that we have ignored for the past 70 years,” says Phil.

“Reported UFO cases date back to the 1500’s when a township in Germany witnessed a battle between celestial objects which was reported in the broadsheet journals of Nuremberg.

“From the 1940’s a new and increased wave of alien activity began.

UFO Sightings Shoot Up in NY in 2020

Article by Adam Nichols                                   September 25, 2020                                    (patch.com)

• Nationwide, there have been thousands of witness accounts of UFOs submitted to the National UFO Reporting Center. New York has seen a dramatic increase in UFO sightings. While there were 151 sightings reported in all of 2019, there are already 184 sightings of unexplained flying craft in the sky in 2020, including bright lights, strange sounds and oddly shaped objects.

• Following a sighting of a UFO craft, a witness in Staten Island, New York gave a terrifying description of a burning sensation. “…I felt this heat like feeling going through my body,” this person reported. “Starting at my head, like some sort of radiation. Burning me like frying me. And that’s when I realized it was the craft.”

• In another account, witnesses said, “We were on a rooftop viewing the Persiuds when the glowing green UFO passed directly overhead at a low altitude, followed by what sounded like a military aircraft. The green lights were revolving in a figure eight as the craft moved quickly from east to west towards Manhattan. The military aircraft that appeared to follow it was very loud.”

• The credibility of UFO got a boost when The New York Times and Politico reported on a $22 million, multi-year Pentagon UFO research program that began in 2007 known as the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program. Funding for the program came through former US Senator, Harry Reid, who is from Nevada where Area 51 is located – also the reported home to alien beings and craft.

• In late 2017, retired Navy Commander David Fravor was conducting a training mission off the coast of California in 2004 when he saw an oblong craft flying erratically through his airspace at incredible speed, maneuvering in a way that defies accepted principles of aerodynamics. Described as a wingless object, about 40 feet long and shaped like a Tic Tac, Fravor remarked, “I can tell you, I think it was not from this world.” “[A]fter 18 years of flying, I’ve seen pretty much about everything that I can see in that realm, and this was nothing close.”

• When Fravor saw the object from the air, controllers on one of the Navy ships on the water below reported that objects were being dropped about 80,000 feet from the sky, then headed “straight back up.” Fravor could see the disturbances on the water below and breaking waves on the surface, “like something’s under the surface.” The radar jammed, and as Fravor flew closer, the craft rapidly accelerated and zoomed upward and disappeared. Once the object was gone, the ocean below was a still sheet of blue with no evidence of disturbance. Infrared scanning also showed no evidence of an exhaust trail.

NEW YORK CITY – Add War of the Worlds to everything else 2020 is throwing at New York.

Skygazers have reported a huge increase of unidentified flying objects seen in the state – already, 184 unexplained flying crafts or lights seen in the state have been logged with the National UFO Reporting Center.

In almost all of 2019, only 151 were seen.

The sightings include bright lights, strange sounds and oddly shaped objects. A person in Staten Island gave a terrifying description of a burning sensation following a sighting.

“And that’s when I felt this heat like feeling going through my body,” they reported.

“Starting at my head, like some sort of radiation. Burning me like frying me. And that’s when I realized it was the craft.”

Others were less disturbing.

“We were on a rooftop viewing the Persiuds when the glowing green ufo passed directly overhead at a low altitude, followed by what sounded like a military aircraft,” said one.

“The green lights were revolving in a figure eight as the craft moved quickly From east to west towards Manhattan. The military Aircraft that appeared to follow it was very loud.”

Nationwide, there have been thousands of witness accounts of UFOs submitted to the center.

UFO hunting has been a popular pursuit in the United States since the mid-20th century, when Kenneth Arnold, a businessman piloting a small plane, filed the first well-known report in 1947 of a UFO over Mount Rainier in Washington. Arnold claimed he saw nine high-speed, crescent-shaped objects zooming along at several thousand miles per hour “like saucers skipping on water.”

Although the objects Arnold claimed to see weren’t saucer-shaped at all, his analogy led to the popularization of the term “flying saucers.” And since then, Americans have been more or less obsessed with the idea that alien life is among us.

Japanese Military Says It Will Track UFOs

Article by MJ Banias                                      September 15, 2020                                       (vice.com)

• In April, the Japanese Ministry of Defense announced that it would begin drafting guidelines on tracking and investigating UFO sightings. On September 14th, Japanese Defense Minister Taro Kono instructed the Japanese Self Defense Forces to record and report any UFO sightings in Japan’s airspace, to assess any data collected, and to investigate any credible sightings.

• A Japanese press release on September 4th reported that US Secretary of Defense Mark Esper spoke with Kono about the UAP issue at a meeting in Guam on August 29th. According to UFO researcher Giuliano Marinkovic, Kono stated that while he could not go into detail, the two nations would work closely together on the UFO/UAP issue. A Pentagon press release confirmed the meeting between Esper and Kono in Guam, stating that the two nations will work together to operate an “integrated air and missile defense” system, as well as enhancing the integration of “intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance functions.” The Pentagon brief also mentions the strengthening of its “secure networks and security to protect advanced defense technologies.”

• According to the Japanese Defense Minister Kono, there have been no cases of Japanese Self Defense Force pilots encountering UFOs. Kono said that while he personally does not believe in otherworldly UFOs, he is interested in the findings the United States may have regarding the subject. In August, the Pentagon announced the formation of a UAP Task Force to investigate incursions of unknown objects in US airspace. Evidence exists that the US Navy has been operating this task force out of the Office of Naval Intelligence since 2018 in response to the shuttering of the Pentagon’s preceding UFO program, the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, in 2012.

  Japanese Defense Minister Taro Kono

On Monday, Japanese Defense Minister Taro Kono instructed Japanese military personnel on what to do if they spot unidentified aerial objects that could potentially pose a threat to national security.

According to Japanese news agencies, Kono instructed the Japanese Self Defence Forces to record and

US Secretary of Defense Mark Esper

report any sightings of unknown objects in Japan’s airspace. The move comes just weeks after Kono spoke with U.S. Secretary of Defense Mark Esper in a conversation that apparently touched on UFOs.

Taking a lead from the United States, Kono also tasked the SDF to assess any data collected and investigate any credible sightings.

In April, the Japanese Ministry of Defence announced that it would begin drafting guidelines on tracking and investigating UFO sightings. Citing the United State’s release of three videos shot by Naval aviators of unknown objects in 2004 and 2015, Kono expressed that while he personally does not believe in the otherworldly nature of UFOs, he is interested in the findings the United States may come to regarding the subject. In early August, the Pentagon announced the formation of a UAP Task Force to investigate incursions of unknown objects in US airspace. Evidence exists that the United States Navy has been operating this task force out of the Office of Naval Intelligence since 2018 in response to the shuttering of the Pentagon’s UFO program, the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, or AATIP, in 2012.

Old FBI Case Could Be Proof That UFOs Are Real

Article by Brynley Louise                                 September 7, 2020                                 (filmdaily.co)

• In the online FBI files known as ‘The Vault’, there is ‘Memorandum 6751’. The memorandum dated July 5, 1947 was sent to the FBI. (On July 8, 1947, the Roswell Daily Record published the first newspaper story on an alleged UFO crash at a nearby ranch.) The 70 page memo was declassified in 2010. The Roswell crash was quickly ‘debunked’. Likewise, the memo itself, which makes claims of inter-dimensional beings and flying saucers, states that “the writer has little expectation that anything of import will be accomplished by this gesture”.

• The writer of the memo believed that while we live in three dimensions that we call width, breadth, and height, an inter-dimensional being would add a fourth dimension – “space time”. The multiverse theory wouldn’t be popularized by Bryce DeWitt until 1957, so the writer may have been referring to an alternate universe rather than a fourth dimension of this universe. Hard to tell. But this is what the writer had to say about these inter-dimensional beings:

1. Part of the disks (spacecraft) carry crews, others are under remote control.
2. Their mission is peaceful. The visitors contemplate settling on this plane.
3. These visitors are human-like, but much larger in size.
4. They are NOT excarnate earth people but come from their own world.
5. They do NOT come from any “planet” as we use the word, but from an otherio planet which interpenetrates with our own and is not perceptible to us.
6. The bodies of the visitors, and of the craft also, automatically materialize on entering the vibratory rate of our . . . matter.
7. The disks possess a type of radiant energy, or a ray, which will easily disintegrate any attacking ship. They reenter the otherio at will, and so simply disappear from our vision, without trace.
8. The region from which they come is NOT the ‘astral plane’, but corresponds to the Lokas or Talas. Students of osoterio matter will understand these terms.
9. They probably cannot be reached by radio but probably can be by radar, if a signal system can be devised for that.”

• It’s a lot of fun to dig through the old UFO related documents on the FBI’s online database. You can even read the official single-page document regarding the 1947 Roswell incident, with surprisingly little redacted.

Do you love a good UFO story? We hope so, because we have a doozy for you. If you spend a lot of time genuinely searching out answers on the existence of real aliens and UFOs that are extraterrestrial in nature, then it’s possible you’ve heard this one before, since the FBI documents we’re talking about were released all the way back in 2010.

However, if you have a passing fancy for the idea of aliens, or just enjoy interesting stories, then this is exactly the right article for you. A decade ago, a seventy page document was declassified by the FBI and put into their online database called The Vault. (How very cinematic of them.) This document is now frequently referred to as Memorandum 6751 & makes claims of inter-dimensional beings and flying saucers.

It’s important to note that the FBI did not write this memo. It was written and sent to the FBI, who were then forced to archive it. So, while everyone likes to claim this document is proof the U.S. government confirmed the existence of extraterrestrials all the way back in 1947, they are, alas, very wrong.

Claims of Memo 6751

The letter very kindly has a list of nine bullet points, which makes picking up the important bits of the old scanned document a little easier as you squint your way through the slightly blurry & faded photocopy with handwritten notes in the margins. We transcribed the fun part as best we could.

Did We Just Spot a UFO in a Netflix Documentary?

Article by Nirmal Narayanan                                    September 9, 2020                                       (ibtimes.co.in)

• In a Netflix documentary entitled: ‘The Hidden Science of Everything’, the show’s scientists are demonstrating how clouds make rain. They employ a small plane in the shot, taking off from an airport in San Angelo, Texas. As the plane is gaining altitude, an object streaks right by the plane at a mind-blowing speed. (see 1:33 minute video below)

• The object that passed the airplane seems very similar to the classic disc-shaped UFOs often depicted in Hollywood movies. The video was uploaded to ‘The Hidden Underbelly 2.0’ YouTube channel where it went viral. Many comments conclude that sightings like these are irrefutable proof of alien presence on Earth.

• “Awesome, many UFO’s travels around Earth so fast, that we Earthlings only spot a small percentage. Right place right time fortunes the lucky,” commented NJK, a YouTube user. “Man that looked like you said a flying saucer. Like Roswell saucer. It’s a matter of time before the world knows the truth,” commented Alan Barra, another YouTuber.

Space agencies like NASA and ESA have been searching for extraterrestrial aliens for several years, but until now, humans have not succeeded in making the crucial first contact. However, conspiracy theorists strongly believe that aliens are already here on the earth, and they argue that UFO sightings are authentic proof of their existence. And now, eagle-eyed conspiracy theorists have claimed to have discovered a UFO in a Netflix documentary titled ‘The Hidden Science of Everything’.

UFO appeared in Netflix documentary

In the clip taken from the show, an airplane can be seen taking off from San Angelo to Texas to demonstrate how clouds make rain. But shockingly, during the airplane’s course in the skies, another object appears and seems to zoom along in the opposite direction. The flying object spotted near the airplane in the skies was apparently traveling at a mindblowing speed, and audiences will get only a glimpse of it if the playback speed is slowed down.

Mexico Attracts People of This World, and From Outer Space Too

Article by Leigh Thelmadatter                               September 5, 2020                                 (mexiconewsdaily.com)

• Mexico ranks seventh in the world for the number of UFO sightings. One of Mexico’s ufologist pioneers was Pedro Ferriz, who even advised former president Gustavo Díaz Ordaz on the matter in the 1960s. Ferriz has been followed by others including UFO hunter Salvador Guerrero and journalist Laura Castellanos. By far, the best-known is Jaime Maussan, who has hosted a show on UFOs and the paranormal called Tercer Milenio (Third Millennium) since 2005.

• There are reports of UFO sightings from all over Mexico, with some places being more popular with aliens. The capital Mexico City has, by far, the most reports of UFOs. (see 16 minute video below) Many are also reported in Puebla just to the south and the San Mateo corridor. One famous sighting occurred on July 11, 1991 during a total eclipse. In 2017, the X Files filmed an episode in Mexico City, bringing a “damaged gray flying saucer” into the main square of the capital.

• Sightings here usually describe a light or spherical object that moves off to the side as a plane approaches and returns after it has passed. Even more reports come out of an area called the “Ruta OVNI” (UFO Route) that extends around the southern perimeter of the megalopolis.

• A UFO magnet seems to be the Popocatépetl volcano situated between Mexico City and Puebla. A webcam video recorder monitors the volcano’s activity where strange lights and movements are regularly seen around the crater, especially during eruptions. Such images have made the news at various times, including those in which an object appears to pass through the eruption, come out from the crater, or dive into it. (see video clip of UFO on volcano webcam below)

• UFO sightings are still associated with pyramids of the ancient civilizations of Mesoamerica. Some artifacts seem to indicate extraterrestrial contact. Local residents in Tepoztlán, just south of Mexico City, regularly claim that strong blue and yellow lights can be seen flying around the small pyramid on a nearby crag.

• One of the best known incidents occurred in the rural town of Mezcala near Guadalajara. For three days starting on December 31, 2007, circular lights appeared in the sky over the Pie de Minas Mountain, with one person recording video of part of the event. In 2019, a UFO was spotted over Acapulco, causing a local government official to quip that the tourist destination was “not only recognized nationally and globally, but also outside of the planet.”

• Monterrey is noted for one particular sighting over the city’s iconic Cerro de la Silla mountain, filmed accidentally during the making of a commercial for Coca-Cola. No one saw it at the time, but review of the footage showed an elliptical object moving fast, in daylight hours. (see 30 second Coca Cola UFO commercial below) Sightings in Durango date back at least to 1955 when two adolescents reported being stopped in their car by a light that then disappeared over the horizon.

• Residents of Ciudad Madero, Tamaulipas, also talk of an alien base. The “evidence” for its existence includes the fact that there have been no major hurricanes in the area since 1966. Supposedly, the aliens divert them northward to Texas. The stories prompted the erection of a statue of a “Martian” on Miramar Beach, where sightings are reported regularly (although the statue was stolen). (see recent ExoArticle here)

• Various groups watch the skies and document sightings and other evidence of extraterrestrials visiting the country. Interest in UFOs in Mexico is not going way anytime soon.

                     Jaime Maussan

So the Pentagon has admitted studying UFOs, and not a single person is shocked. I thought it would be fun to find out if our alien friends visit Mexico as well. Looks like they do!

In fact, Mexico ranks seventh in the world for the number of UFO sightings. One of Mexico’s ufologist pioneers was Pedro Ferriz, who even advised former president Gustavo Díaz Ordaz on the matter in the 1960s.

He has since been followed by others including UFO hunter Salvador Guerrero and journalist Laura Castellanos. By far, the best-known is Jaime Maussan, who has hosted a show on UFOs and the paranormal called Tercer Milenio (Third Millennium) since 2005.

        Miramar Beach “Martian”

There are reports of UFO sightings from all over Mexico, but some places seem to be more popular with aliens. One early incident is something that appears on a home video taken at Mexico City’s 1968 Olympic Games during the opening ceremony. Perhaps the best known are the sightings that occurred

               Popocatépetl volcano

on July 11, 1991 during a total eclipse.

In both Mexico City and Puebla, one or more gray disk-shape objects were reported in the skies and were even filmed in both places. The event remains unexplained and launched a new generation of UFO enthusiasts.

In 2017, the X Files filmed an episode in Mexico City, even bringing a “damaged gray flying saucer” into the main square of the capital. The capital has, by far, the most reports of UFOs. One area with many sightings is the San Mateo corridor, where planes coming in from the north approach the international airport.

Witness Tells of Long Beach Island UFO Encounter

September 4, 2020                                        (catcountry1073.com)

• At 2am on Thursday, August 27th, an unidentified witness in Long Beach Island, New Jersey had a UFO sighting, which the person reported to the National UFO Reporting Center’s website (see here). The encounter lasted for 30 -40 minutes. Below is the transcript of the report.

• “Hi, I am not one to report unless I am sure. But what we saw at Long Beach island at 2 am was not something we doubt as something not in our comprehension. My friend and I decided to take a walk on the beach at around 1:30 am after a long night of talking catching up. After about 20 minutes we noticed three bright lights on the sand, we thought they were police checking the area for trespassers. So we didn’t think much of it. We then noticed two of the light sources started to create a line between each other… it looked like a beam interchanged between two sources.”

• “Fast forward, these lights disappeared we figure it was some kind of weird glitch in some security light… we then notice a light that looked into the ocean. It was white… shining very bright. We noticed a smaller green light flying over it… moving very fast all over the place. I mean like very disoriented.. nothing we have every seen before.”

• “I was a believer and the first thing I thought was aliens and I thought my friend would think I was absolutely crazy by my idea but when we both saw we looked at each other. The look on my friends face was shocking he was! absolutely startled… I was too. We both saw the same thing. These light forces moving ramp idly with no distinguished pattern or direction.. around the light source. At one point it seemed to dive into the ocean and back out. It would shine bright.. move and then disappear and appear again. It would make sudden movements and we would both look at each other. It would then stop and align with the bigger “light source” and then move about again.”

• “We watched it for about 40 minutes. I shined my light at it (blinked twice) and it disappeared… then shined back twice. And disappeared and we got to scared and walked away. We both realized this was an experience we will remember forever. We thought hard about what we might have seen but there just doesn’t seem to be any explanation to a light moving that rapidly and that unorganized like it did. We both knew what we saw but it seems unreal right now. I’m writing this because My friend and I truly believe we saw something out of the ordinary tonight.”

A UFO encounter reportedly took place on Long Beach Island on Thursday, August 27th.

The witness, who has not been identified, says the encounter happened just after midnight and lasted for 30 -40 minutes.

The sighting report is listed on the National UFO Reporting Center’s website.

Meteorologist’s Account of 1994 Michigan UFO Sightings (with Audio)

Article by Will Haenni                                 September 3, 2020                                (wwmt.com)

• In 1994, Jack Bushong was a meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Muskegon, Michigan, north of Chicago on the eastern edge of Lake Michigan. On the night of March 8, 1994, Bushong was manning the office alone. He received a telephone call from a police dispatcher in nearby Ottawa County who had been fielding reports of strange lights in the sky. The officer asked if Bushong had seen anything on radar.

• Bushong went over to the radar screen and began waving its beam back and forth across Ottawa County looking for any objects. “You could pretty much use it like a spotlight,” Bushong said describing the radar at the time. An object did appear on radar returns. “It started as one,” he said. “The object was coasting at about 100 miles per hour.” Then the object stopped and started hovering. “And then it shot up, about 5,000 feet, then 10,000 feet I was getting it, just straight up,” Bushong said. “At this point, the police officer was saying that he was seeing the same thing with that same object.” “It was almost as if, it was like it was saying to me, ‘hey, I know you can see me,” said Bushong. “[It] got up to about 30, 40 thousand feet, and finally I saw it.”

• Bushong then describes seeing a triangle of objects on radar, oriented vertically, before they finally spread out in the horizontal. “One that’s closest to the radar, so it would look bigger, and then there were two more,” he said. “One on the shore of Lake Michigan, and the other inland a little bit. They were all separated by about 20 miles.” One of the objects would zip about 20 miles away before the others followed in a geometric pattern. “I either saw them hovering or they were jumping at a high rate of speed over to the next spot. Then there were two other spots jumping to get back into the same triangle, and they kept doing this,” Bushong said. “They were just moving so fast… I really had little time to describe where they were before they had moved and jumped again.” This continued until the three, and at times four, UFOs made it over southern Lake Michigan, where he observed dozens more. For about two hours, Bushong watched the cluster of stationary objects, with some of them slowly moving in between others.

• This fascinating conversation between Bushong and the dispatcher was recorded, and has been released by the Michigan chapter of the Mutual UFO Network. (listen to the 23 minute conversation in the YouTube below)

• Bushong also spoke to an air traffic controller at the Muskegon County Airport control tower who confirmed three aircraft in formation in the distance, that didn’t have any transponder codes. The UFOs topped off close to 60,000 feet at times, so it couldn’t have been ‘ground clutter’, when radar beams bend down towards the surface of the earth, echoing back returns from objects close to the ground.

• In March 2019, the 25th anniversary of the incident, Cindy Pravda of Grand Haven shared her account of that night in 1884 with the local television news. Over one hundred people reported seeing strange lights in the sky.

• Bushong said he was initially prohibited from speaking to the media. “NWS didn’t want to become the UFO reporting center for the United States, so that’s really why they really had to duck and cover for this one,” he said. Over the years, Bushong has faced ridicule for his account, but has become more comfortable speaking about it after the U.S. Department of Defense released videos confirming what it says are “unidentified aerial phenomena.” The March 8, 1994 sightings are still labeled as “unexplained” according to the Michigan chapter of the Mutual UFO Network, the world’s largest civilian UFO research organization.

• Shortly after the 1994 sightings, the National Weather Service renovated and “modernized” its offices in Muskegon. They permanently removed the radar facility.

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — “They were just moving so fast, and two more started coming into play there. I really had little time to describe where they

                   Jack Bushong

were before they had moved and jumped again,” said Jack Bushong, a retired meteorologist describing what he saw on radar the night of March 8, 1994.

Bushong spent his career working for the National Weather Service. On the night of March 8, 1994, he was manning the National Weather Service office by himself in Muskegon on a cold but routine night. The NWS no longer has an office or radar there after the government forecasting agency went through modernization and reorganization in the mid-90s.

The phone rang and Bushong answered to find an Ottawa County dispatcher on the other line who had been fielding reports of strange lights in the sky. They called the National Weather Service to see if anything was showing up on weather radar.

It turns out, over 100 people reported witnessing the strange lights in the sky. Cindy Pravda, who lives in Grand Haven, shared her account with News Channel 3 in March of 2019 on the 25th anniversary of one of of Michigan’s most famous UFO sightings.

That’s when Bushong took manual control of the Muskegon radar, and began waving its beam back and forth across Ottawa County looking for any objects. The conversation between Bushong and the dispatcher was recorded, which the Michigan chapter of the Mutual UFO Network has shared online.

That night, there weren’t any thunderstorms to track on radar, but rather, something else.

“You could pretty much use it like a spotlight,” Bushong said when describing the operation of the radar at the time. “I had two cranks to bring it up or down, or side to side. You pretty much sent it out searching for weather: any type of rain, sleet snow; or hail is what we were usually looking for when we took it off of automatic mode.”

Cities Across the Carolinas Report UFO Sightings

Article by Joe Marusak                              August 27, 2020                               (charlotteobserver.com)

• The San Francisco-based True People SearchNational compiled the rankings of US cities with the most UFO sighting reports sent to the National UFO Reporting Center in Davenport, Washington. Founded in 1974, NUFORC offers both an online form and a telphone hotline for people in the US and Canada to add their ‘objective UFO data’ to a public database.

• The True People website analyzed more than 80,000 reported UFO sightings, and then narrowed it down to 446 cities with 25 or more sightings over a 114 year period, through 2014. Seattle topped the list of major cities with 620 sightings, more than double second-place Phoenix. Charlotte, NC and Jacksonville, Florida were the only Eastern US cities making the top ten.

• Nationwide, “lights have been reported to move in weird patterns, flash, appear and disappear, display in a formation, and more. While some lights can be explained as an aircraft originating from Earth, a meteor, or satellites, some reports have remained shrouded in mystery,” says Mitchell Barrick, content director for True People Search Insights.

• Charlotte’s 153 sightings of mysterious lights, discs and orbs in the sky since 1910 ranked ninth among the 25 largest cities by population. ‘Unexplained light in the sky’ is the most commonly reported type of UFO in the US, “and this holds true for Charlotte,” said Barrick. Other commonly reported objects in the US include triangles, circles, fireballs, disks, sphere, snake-like UFOs (cigars and cylinders), chevrons, eggs and cones.

• Adjusting for comparative population density, however, Charlotte had 17 reported UFO sightings per 100,000 people, which ranks 37th in North America and only 6th in North Carolina. Three South Carolina cities were ranked in the top ten when comparing population density. Surfside Beach, SC came in at No. 3 with 671 sightings per 100,000 people; Myrtle Beach at No. 6 with 507 sightings; and North Myrtle Beach at No. 9 with 380 sightings. Wilmington ranked highest per capita in North Carolina. Its 58 sightings translated to 47 sightings per 100,000 people, good for 162nd place in North America, followed by Asheville with 43 sightings (168th place); Gastonia with 25 sightings (252nd place); Fayetteville with 43 sightings (351st place); and Greensboro with 56 sightings (364th place). After these came Cary with 28 sightings; Raleigh with 78 sightings; Durham with 33 sightings; and Winston-Salem with 27 sightings.

• According to Barrick, “[I]t’s our theory that a higher frequency of sightings correlates with a higher percentage of reports from people who believe they have genuinely seen something in the sky that they cannot explain: a UFO.”

• Peter Davenport, director of the National UFO Reporting Center, said NUFORC has received a spate of recent UFO reports from the Carolina coast. People have reported red, orange, yellow, amber and gold lights in the sky above the Atlantic Ocean – lights with no earthly explanation. For instance, on August 18, a retired senior law enforcement official in Conway, SC saw a tiny, white colored, strobing light fly overhead from NNE to SSW. The object is joined by a second similar object, and then two more, for a total of four objects. (see 1:52 minute video below) “Because of the strobing, and because of the direction the objects were traveling, the witness doubted whether they could have been ‘Starlink’ satellites.”

• Another phenomena associated with the Carolinas for over a century are mysterious apparitions known as the ‘Brown Mountain Lights’ which have been reported in the North Carolina highlands. In summer 2016, a scientific team from Appalachian State University captured on video a bright orb that “suddenly appeared and then vanished” high above a Brown Mountain ridge. “Then it came back, same spot,” The Charlotte Observer reported. “And then an encore.”

Charlotte has managed to beam itself up into the ranking of the top 10 largest North American cities for total UFO sightings in the past century, a new study shows.

And other cities in the Carolinas made related lists for sightings per capita, including Wilmington, Asheville and Myrtle Beach.

The Queen City’s 153 sightings of mysterious lights, discs and orbs in the sky since 1910 had Charlotte ranked ninth among the 25 largest cities by population and tops in North Carolina. That’s according to San Francisco-based True People Search, which compiled the rankings based on sightings people sent to the National UFO Reporting Center in Davenport, Wash.

Founded in 1974, the non-profit center maintains a public database of “objective UFO data,” according to its website. It offers an online form and telephone hotline to report sightings.

The people-finder website analyzed more than 80,000 reported UFO sightings in the U.S. and Canada. It then narrowed the list to 446 cities with 25 or more total sightings over 114 years, through 2014, Mitchell Barrick, content director for True People Search Insights told The Charlotte Observer in an email Wednesday.

Seattle topped the list of major cities with 620 sightings, more than double second-place Phoenix. Jacksonville, Fla., was the only other Eastern U.S. city in the top 10, falling just one sighting shy of Charlotte’s overall total.

New UFO Sighting in the UK

Article by Ashley Maaike                                August 27, 2020                                  (filmdaily.co)

• On August 10th, as a commercial jet approached its landing at the Doncaster-Sheffield Airport in South Yorkshire, England, bystander Andrew Pollard saw and videoed a UFO zooming past the jet, coming within a meter of the jet. In the video below, a cylindrical object can be seen next to the jet’s right wing. Pollard posted the photo on Twitter under his handle, “The Alchemist”.

• It appears that the UFO is much smaller than the plane, about the size of a car. But it is too big and moving too fast to be a bird. It moves so fast that even the camera loses its focus on it. Apparently, the control tower personnel and radar didn’t even detect that UFO.

Wouldn’t it be Earth-centric to think we’re the only lifeforms in the universe? It’d be ridiculous to believe that no other planets couldn’t foster sentient life. But if there were evidence to suggest aliens exist, would our governments tell us about it?

What if extraterrestrials made contact with Earth already? We have to keep our eyes peeled for any sign & note every sighting. You never know when a UFO will finally land on Earth and change our lives as we know it. It could be a reality much sooner than you’d think.

In fact, the latest exciting UFO news comes to us from the UK. Alien hunters have rallied, claiming that an alien spaceship has been spotted near an airport in Yorkshire. Here are all of the details we have about the exciting possibility of a UFO on Earth.

The UK UFO report

According to the sharp eyes of the conspiracy theorists, the UFO was zooming past an airplane that was landing at Doncaster-Sheffield Airport when they noticed it. As the incoming airplane descended toward the landing strip, what looked like a cylindrical object could be seen next to the airplane’s right wing.

UFO Hunters Spot ‘747-Sized’ Alien Craft Over Dubai

Article by Tom Fish                                 August 28, 2020                                  (express.co.uk)

• On August 25th, Jovic Alamons’ wife was video recording him walking along Ja Beach in Dubai, United Arab Emirates when he points to a classic ‘flying saucer’-shaped object hovering in the sky in front of them. (see video clip below) The UFO appears to be the size of a 747 jet at about one mile in the distance. Rotation can be seen underneath the craft. Unfortunately, Mrs Alamons stopped recording before the UFO could fly away.

• Was the craft waiting for water to evaporate from its hull, after emerging from the water, before flying off into space?

Eagle-eyed alien life conspiracy theorists believe they have acquired video evidence of a UFO brazenly hovering over Earth. What appears as a classic ‘flying saucer’-shaped object is seen flying low in the sky close to the United Arab Emirates city.

The bizarre footage was originally uploaded to YouTube by the UFO & Alien Santana channel, apparently shot by the wife of eyewitness Jovic Alamons.
Self-proclaimed alien researcher Scott Waring believes the video shot in daylight really is proof of UFOs.

Waring took to his UFO Sightings Daily blog to speculate about the anomaly.

He claimed: “Watching this video makes you wonder if its real or not, but the man’s reaction and how he and the woman are transfixed on recording the guy – all is normal.

“I looked for glitches and could find no evidence of manipulation in the video.

“The UFO appears to be the size of a 747 jet and it is far away, about [one mile] 1.5km in the distance.

“It’s sitting over the ocean off Dubai.”

Ex-Air Force Members’ Stories Will Convince You UFOs Are Real

Article by Patrice A. Kelly                             August 27, 2020                                   (filmdaily.co)

• Are UFOs real? According to Luis Elizondo, former military intelligence officer and past head of the Pentagon’s now-defunct Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, “I think we’re at the point now where we’re beyond reasonable doubt that these things exist. We know they’re there – we have some of the greatest technology in the world that has confirmed their existence.”

• Since the term ‘UFO’ describes aerial objects that defy explanation, some believe that they represent technology deployed by a hostile human source. Evaluating the potential threats posed by UFOs should, therefore, involve the collaboration of leaders around the world, said Elizondo, who is now a director of global security and special programs at To the Stars Academy of Arts and Science, a private agency pursuing evidence of UFOs.

• The U.S. government has been collecting reports on UFOs since the 1950s – in the Air Force’s Project Blue Book, from 1952 to 1969, and through the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP), a federal agency that compiled witness accounts of UFO encounters from the 1950s through the 1980s.

• On November 14, 2004, Cmdr. David Fravor (pictured above) and Lt. Cmdr. Jim Slaight were on a routine training mission in their F/A-18F Super Hornets, 100 miles out into the Pacific from the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier. An operations officer aboard the USS Princeton asked if they were carrying weapons. Commander Fravor replied that they only carried ‘dummy missiles’ as they had not been expecting any hostile exchanges off the coast of San Diego. “Well, we’ve got a real-world vector for you,” the radio operator said.

• For two weeks, the Princeton had been tracking UFOs. The objects appeared suddenly at 80,000 feet, and then hurtled toward the sea, eventually stopping at 20,000 feet and hovering. Then they either dropped out of radar range or shot straight back up. The radio operator instructed the pilots to investigate. The two fighter jets headed toward the “merge plot” with objects. When they reached that point, they could see nothing around them. Then Fravor looked down at the ocean. Although the seas were calm, waves were breaking over something that was just below the surface. Whatever it was, it was big enough to cause the sea to churn.

• Hovering fifty feet above the churn was an oval aircraft of some kind, whitish, around forty feet long. The craft was jumping around erratically, staying over the wave disturbance but not moving in any specific direction. Commander Fravor began a circular descent to get a closer look, but as he got nearer the object began ascending toward him, as if the UFO were coming to meet him halfway. Fravor abandoned his slow circular descent and headed straight for the object. Then the object peeled away. “It accelerated like nothing I’ve ever seen,” said Fravor.

• The operations officer on the Princeton told the jets to rendezvous at a ‘cap point’ sixty miles away. The jets were near the cap point when the Princeton radioed: “Sir, you won’t believe it,” the radio operator said, “but that thing is (already) at your cap point.” “We were at least 40 miles away, and in less than a minute this thing was already at our cap point,” Commander Fravor related. By the time the two fighter jets arrived at the rendezvous point, the object had disappeared.

• The fighter jets returned to the Nimitz, where everyone on the ship had learned of Commander Fravor’s encounter and was making fun of him. Fravor’s superiors did not investigate further and he went on with his career, deploying to the Persian Gulf to provide air support to ground troops during the Iraq war. But recalling that day off of San Deigo, Commander Fravor said, “I have no idea what I saw.” “It had no plumes, wings or rotors and outran our F-18s.” Fravor added, “I want to fly one.”

There’s no question that the world has an ongoing fascination with UFOs. Although reports of sightings are often met with derision– as delusions of people who wear “tin-foil hats” – there is no doubt that many people have seen something unexplained whizzing through the sky. So the question becomes – are UFOs real?

According to Luis Elizondo, former military intelligence officer and past head of the Pentagon’s now-defunct Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), they just might be.

They do exist . . .

“I think we’re at the point now where we’re beyond reasonable doubt that these things exist,” Elizondo said. “We know they’re there – we have some of the greatest technology in the world that has confirmed their existence.”

Though some label UFOs as alien spacecraft, the term merely describes aerial objects that defy explanation. One possibility is that they represent technology deployed by a hostile human source, so it’s impossible to say for sure that UFOs are harmless, Elizondo said.

        Luis Elizondo

Evaluating the potential threats posed by UFOs should, therefore, involve the collaboration of leaders around the world, remarked Elizondo, who left the Pentagon in 2017 and is now a director of global security and special programs at To the Stars Academy of Arts and Science, a private agency pursuing evidence of UFOs.

UFOs or UAPs

UFOs are also known as unidentified aerial phenomena, or UAPs. The U.S. government has been collecting reports of these enigmatic objects since the 1950s in the Air Force’s Project Blue Book, from 1952 to 1969, and through the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP), a federal agency that compiled witness accounts of UFO encounters from the 1950s through the 1980s.

Nimitz sighting

One of the most famous cases of UFO sightings happened to pilots assigned to the USS Nimitz on November 14, 2004, over the Pacific Ocean. Cmdr. David Fravor and Lt. Cmdr. Jim Slaight were on a routine training mission 100 miles out into the Pacific when the radio in each of their F/A-18F Super Hornets crackled. An operations officer aboard the U.S.S. Princeton, a Navy cruiser, wanted to know if they were carrying weapons.

Article by Scott Harrell                                   August 27, 2020                                      (baynews9.com)

• Every so often, a new UFO sighting or the release of documents reaches the mainstream news and reignites the public’s interest in unexplained aerial phenomena. In 2019, it was the US Navy’s acknowledgement that three leaked and ultimately declassified videos were in fact UFOs. No one, however, would go so far as to say they were spaceships from another planet. This renewed the curiosity of those American who are not too skeptical to consider at least the possibility of the existence of extraterrestrial life.

• In June of 2020, the Senate Intelligence Committee chaired by Republican Florida Senator Marco Rubio included a provision in its annual authorization bill requiring various military and intelligence agencies to compile a detailed analysis on UFOs. The analysis would be declassified and available to the public, and must be completed within 180 days of the bill’s passage.

• Not everyone in the UFO-watching community is excited about the subject’s current pop-cultural hype, however. “Coverage is trendy. That’s one of the problems we have,” says Peter Davenport, director of the National UFO Reporting Center. “A lot of UFOlogists are very serious people indeed, doing serious work, and we only get covered if there’s a trend in [the culture].”

• Davenport, a former candidate for both Washington state legislature and U.S. House of Representatives who holds master’s degrees in biology and finance, has directed the NUFORC since 1994. Why did he choose to become the NUFORC Director? “Well, I saw one when I was a kid,” he says. The incident took place while he and his family were at a drive-in theater in St. Louis. “We were watching the movie, and a disturbance started brewing in the theater area,” Davenport says. “We didn’t know what it was. Then there were people walking in front of our car, looking up to the right, to the east of us. “There was an amazingly bright fire engine red object that looked something like an English rugby ball. It appeared to be almost motionless, then shot straight up, and then down behind [a building]. All of that happened in five or six seconds.” Hundreds, “if not thousands” of people witnessed the event. Since then, Davenport says he’s sighted other UFOs that he’s “reasonably certain were not made on this planet.”

• Since 1996, the NUFORC website has racked up more than 90,000 reported sightings, nearly all of them from North America. They include descriptions that run the gamut from “a series of bright spheres moved slowly, one-by-one, in a southerly direction, away from a stationary sphere” (Gloucester, Massachusetts, 7/8/18) to “White light circling a star” (Pearland, Texas, 8/14/20).

• California and Florida are the U.S. states that boast far and away the highest numbers of reported sightings, with 10,015 and 5,602, respectively. Both states are known for a lot of aerodynamic and space exploration research. “People report everything as UFOs, but I doubt that theory is correct,” Davenport says. “I can’t prove it, of course. The population, weather conditions, the fact that people are outdoors quite often [in those states]—there are many, many variables.”

FLORIDA — At least once or so a decade, a story about a new UFO sighting (or newly released documents about an old one) pops up on the

               Peter Davenport

mainstream media’s radar. When that happens, it always seems to instantly reignite the popular culture’s interest in unexplained aerial phenomena.
Last year, the U.S. Navy acknowledged that the objects seen in three widely leaked and ultimately declassified videos were, in fact, unidentified flying objects, in the most general sense of the term. (I.e., nobody in the military is saying they were spaceships piloted by beings from another planet.) The story was picked up by most major news outlets, and once again captured the imagination of those Americans not too skeptical to consider at least the possibility of the existence of extraterrestrial life.

That renewed curiosity has continued. In June of this year, the Senate Intelligence Committee—chaired by Republican Florida Senator Marco Rubio—included a provision in its annual authorization bill requiring various military and intelligence agencies to compile a detailed analysis of all of the other data on unexplained aerial phenomena. The analysis would be declassified and available to the public and must be completed within 180 days of the bill’s passage.

While the ostensible reason for the provision is defense against a potential threat to the U.S., its mere existence serves as evidence of the public’s continued interest.

Not everyone in the UFO-watching community is excited about the subject’s current pop-cultural hype and the public’s cycling infatuation, however.
“Coverage is trendy. That’s one of the problems we have,” says Peter Davenport, director of the National UFO Reporting Center. “A lot of UFOlogists are very serious people indeed, doing serious work, and we only get covered if there’s a trend in [the culture].”

Celebrities Who Claim They’ve Seen Real UFOs

Article by Sara Casaus                                   August 24, 2020                                     (filmdaily.co)

• Many people have stories about seeing UFOs in the sky. But somehow, people pay more attention when it is a well-known celebrity who claims to have had a UFO sighting. Here are some celebrities who have UFO stories of their own.

Muhammed Ali – One of the most celebrated boxers of all time, Muhammed Ali saw no less than sixteen UFOs throughout his lifetime. In one incident, Ali saw two UFOs outside of New York City. “I happened to look up just before dawn, as I often do while running, and there hovering above us was this brilliant light hanging as if by an invisible thread.”

Olivia Newton-John – Singer and actor, Olivia Newton-John encountered a UFO when she was fifteen years old when she saw a silvery object speeding through the sky. Ever since that night, Olivia Newton-John has been fascinated with all things extraterrestrial and firmly believes that we’re not alone in the universe.

Mick Jagger – In 1968, Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger went on a camping trip with his girlfriend, Marianne Faithfull, where they both saw a luminous, cigar-shaped UFO. Then in 1969, on the same night as the band played the infamous Altamont Speedway Free Festival, Jagger saw a UFO while he was performing on stage.

Kurt Russell – One evening in 1997, the actor Kurt Russell was piloting a small plane onto a Phoenix airport runway when he inexplicably saw a bank of lights in the shape of a triangle nearby. Years later, his partner Goldie Hawn was watching a television report on UFO sightings which featured ‘the Phoenix Lights’, the most reported UFO sighting of all time. Russell exclaimed to Hawn, “Wait a minute, that’s the night I was landing in Phoenix!”.

January Jones – The ‘Mad Men’ actress January Jones was in her 20s in Iowa when she saw a light in the sky moving in an incredibly fast and erratic pattern. Jones joked that she was trying to figure out whether it was a spaceship or a shooting star.

Kacey Musgraves – Singer Kacey Musgraves was attending a wedding when she joined a group of people headed to the beach. There, the group saw a UFO moving in an erratic flight path. The object even changed its shape as it crossed the sky. Musgraves says that she’s seen two other UFO sightings, one in Nashville and one in LA. Each time, there were people with her who could confirm the sighting.

Russell Crowe – The actor Russell Crowe (pictured above) had set up a time-lapse camera outside his office in Sydney, Australia attempting to capture footage of some fruit bats. Instead of fruit bats, he discovered that he had filmed a strange glowing object in the sky that resembled a ship or a yacht. Crowe uploaded the video to YouTube where it attracted massive media attention and sparked many debates. (see video clip below)

carrying a crew of extraterrestrial life. Often these experiences are brushed off as figments of an overactive imagination however when a celebrity reports a sighting people pay attention.

Muhammed Ali
The most celebrated boxers of all time Muhammed Ali also claimed that in his lifetime he saw no less than sixteen UFOs. A UFO expert & author Timothy Green Beckley sat down with Muhammed Ali and was surprised by the amount of first-hand knowledge the boxer had about UFO sightings.

Muhammed Ali described to Green Beckley an encounter he had with two UFOs outside of New York City: “I happened to look up just before dawn, as I often do while running, and there hovering above us was this brilliant light hanging as if by an invisible thread.”

Mick Jagger
Mick Jagger first claimed to spy a real UFO was in 1968 when he went on a camping trip with his then-girlfriend Marianne Faithfull. Jagger described the UFO as “luminous” and “cigar-shaped”.

The next encounter with a UFO was on the same night as the infamous Altamont Speedway Free Festival in 1969. Jagger claims to have seen another UFO while he was performing on stage. A UFO sighting might have been the least shocking event of the festival considering the disturbing deaths that occurred that night.

Russian Cosmonaut Captures UFO Footage from International Space Station

Article by National Post Staff                             August 21, 2020                              (nationalpost.com)

• On August 19th, Russian cosmonaut Ivan Vagner was aboard the International Space Station (ISS). While passing over Antarctica and Australia, Vagner was recording video of the aurora australis — the southern lights. But he managed to catch something else, too. A one-minute video appears to show potential UFOs.

• Visible in the video footage are the glowing curve of the Earth and the green of the aurora moving across it. Then a string of four to five lights arranged in a diagonal line appear at the horizon. As the video was shot in a time-lapse, the flash of “objects” that quickly appear and disappear in the video actually lasted some 52 seconds. The objects “appear flying alongside with the same distance,” Vagner tweeted.

• The mission is Vagner’s first aboard the ISS. According to NASA, his work on the station involved maintenance on its orbital plumbing system as well as “exploring ways to improve Earth photography techniques.” He is working alongside Anatoli Ivanishin, also of Russia, and American commander Chris Cassidy.

• Russia’s space agency Roscosmos added to Vagner’s tweet with the note: “An interesting and at the same time mysterious video made by cosmonaut of Roscosmos Ivan Wagner … from the International Space Station.” The video was submitted to Roscosmos for experts at the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences to review.

Visible are the glowing curve of the Earth and the green of the aurora moving across it. The “space guests” Vagner refers to appear from nine seconds into the video and last until the 12-second mark, a string of four to five lights arranged in a diagonal line.

Since the video was shot in a time-lapse, the flash of “objects” which quickly appear and disappear in the video actually lasted some 52 seconds. The objects “appear flying alongside with the same distance,” Vagner wrote in further tweets. “What do you think those are? Meteors, satellites or … ?”

It’s unclear precisely when the footage was captured or whether Vagner observed the phenomenon at the time, as he filmed.

The US Deems UFOs a National Security Threat. Why Isn’t Canada Taking it As Seriously?

Article by MJ Banias                               August 14, 2020                                   (theglobandmail.com)

• While the U.S. government is actively investigating UFO reports and Congress is calling for more public oversight on unknown aerial incursions, the Canadian government seems to be doing nothing. After nearly a century of the media portraying the UFO phenomenon as a tinfoil hat-wearing enterprise, filled with extraterrestrials, Martian invasions and far-future technology, it is easy to dismiss UFOs.

• A recently released 2019 Canadian UFO Survey (see here) indicates Canadians see about two or three unidentified flying objects a day. And while many will laugh UFOs off as being a delusion, several sighting events present in the Transport Canada 2019 survey involve pilots coming into close proximity with unknown aerial objects, indicating a clear risk to air safety.

• In April, 2019, a Sunwing airliner on approach into Toronto’s Pearson International Airport was ordered by air traffic control to climb in altitude because an unknown aircraft had entered into its flight path. The Sunwing pilots reported that the “target appeared momentarily to them then disappeared.”

• In June 2019, an airliner on final approach to the St. Hubert airport near Montreal was notified by air traffic control of “unidentified traffic.” The airliner’s collision avoidance system confirmed the object was roughly 3.5 nautical miles ahead of the aircraft and climbing in altitude to 2,700 feet. The pilots made visual contact as the object continued to gain altitude and crossed into controlled airspace.

• In July 2019, air traffic controllers in Langley, British Columbia reported to Transport Canada that “radar targets were coasting in and out to the northwest of the airport” and “random targets popping up, radar tags swapping, targets jumping to random locations.”

• In 2012, a Chinese Eastern Airlines Airbus was flying over Alberta when the pilot spotted an unknown object 40 nautical miles to the south, at 41,000 feet. Most commercial drones cannot even get close to that kind of altitude. Another incident in 2015 occurred over Saskatoon’s international airport where the pilot notified air traffic control that they witnessed a bright white light above their aircraft at roughly 34,000 feet.

• Two flight attendants were injured in 2016 when a Porter flight landing in Toronto nearly collided with an unknown object over Lake Ontario at 9,000 feet. In 2019, several aircraft over the vicinity of Medicine Hat in Alberta reported multiple unidentified objects above their aircraft. In September 2019, an unidentified aircraft buzzed the Kitchener/Waterloo Ontario radar control zone at 2,100 feet.

• While Canadian authorities tend to dismiss the sightings, lately the Americans seem to consider UFOs an important issue that needs more attention. A recent congressional report reveals that the U.S. Office of Naval Intelligence has an active task force that investigates incursions of UFOs into U.S. airspace. Senator Marco Rubio, who chairs the Senate intelligence committee, introduced a congressional bill giving this intelligence-gathering operation 180 days to disclose its findings regarding these UFO incursions.

• Canadian science writer and UFO researcher Chris Rutkowski diligently collects nearly all of Canada’s UFO reports from civilian research organizations and those reported to Transport Canada. Rutkowski says that Canada is experiencing a “possible public safety issue.” “We have no idea if UFO reports are investigated,” says Rutkowski. Transport Canada investigates air incidents, such as near misses or crashes. But when pilots and radar operators see UFOs, such cases are “not investigated.”

• When pilots witness UFOs, they are only “requested’ to make ‘aviation occurrence reports’ to the regional Flight Information Centre in “the interests of national security,” according to regulations published by Nav Canada, a private non-profit organization that handles all Canadian air navigation services. According to Nav Canada’s media relations manager Brian Boudreau, examples include “sightings of aircraft violating operating parameters, unidentified aircraft, unauthorized aircraft, or any activity that may impact flight safety or pose a security threat.” Nav Canada may send a report to the Department of National Defence, the North American Aerospace Defence Command (NORAD), Transport Canada or the American Federal Aviation Administration, at its own discretion.

• A spokesperson from the Canadian Department of National Defence said that all UFOs are reported via Nav Canada’s procedure, including hose made by military personnel. But in a contradictory email, the Dept of National Defence stated: “We wouldn’t really comment on speculative matters such as this. The Canadian Armed Forces concerns itself with credible threats, and this falls outside the scope of our operations.” In response to a Canadian ‘Access to Information Request’ to clear up the matter, the Dept of National Defence responded that it “neither confirms or denies records exist …” and that “if documentation did exist, it is exempted in its entirety” from Access to Information Requests due to national defence.

• Matthew Hayes, a filmmaker and UFO researcher said, “There were many attempts over the years and decades to ignore the UFO phenomenon and requests for information about UFOs, as something outside the scope of the [Canadian government].” While some individuals within the Canadian government take the UFO issue seriously, “most efforts were put toward debunking the subject.” Says Hayes, “[T]hey really wanted the whole thing just to go away.”

• While the various Canadian governmental agencies attempt to make light of UFOs, the data indicates this issue is not going away. Canada saw a reduction in sightings in 2019, but has seen a dramatic increase during the first few months of 2020. When the role of the government and the military is to protect that nation, pretending something does not exist is more politically palatable than admitting there has been an intelligence failure.

• In America however, politicians and intelligence experts have publicly expressed their opinions that perhaps a foreign adversary has developed a superior system of propulsion or technology that can trick sophisticated radar and video recording systems. Or, this phenomenon could be something else entirely. “In the past, the Canadian government has certainly tried to take its lead from the U.S. when it comes to UFO information,” said Hayes. Now that the United States is taking the UFO issue seriously. Canada ought to take it seriously as well.

In April, 2019, a Sunwing airliner was on approach into Toronto’s Pearson International Airport when it was ordered by air traffic control operators to climb in altitude because an unknown aircraft had entered into its flight path. The Sunwing pilots reported that the “target appeared momentarily to them then disappeared.” Two months later, in June, an airliner on final approach to the St. Hubert airport near Montreal was notified by air traffic control of “unidentified traffic.” The airliner’s collision avoidance system confirmed the object was roughly 3.5 nautical miles ahead of the aircraft and climbing in altitude to 2,700 feet. The pilots eventually made visual contact as the object continued to gain altitude and crossed into controlled airspace without radio contact or clearance from air traffic control. A month later, air traffic controllers in Langley, B.C., reported to Transport Canada that “radar targets were coasting in and out to the Northwest (NW) of the airport” and “Random targets popping up, radar tags swapping, targets jumping to random locations.”

          Chris Rutkowski

The recently released 2019 Canadian UFO Survey indicates Canadians see about two or three unidentified flying objects a day, and while many will laugh UFOs off as being a silly fringe delusion, several sighting events reported to Transport Canada present in the 2019 survey, such as those outlined above, involve pilots coming into close proximity with unknown aerial objects, and indicate a clear risk to air safety. While the U.S. government is actively investigating UFO reports and Congress is calling for more public oversight on unknown aerial incursions, the Canadian government seems to be doing nothing.

It is easy to dismiss UFOs, or as they are called today, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP). Nearly a century of mass media has turned a curious phenomenon into a tinfoil hat-wearing enterprise filled with extraterrestrials, martian invasions and far-future technology. It is unlikely that pilots are being harassed by pop culture aliens in flying saucers. However, our southern neighbours seem to be concerned with the fact that something is zipping around  North American airspace and no one seems to know how to deal with it.

A recent congressional report indicates that the U.S. Office of Naval Intelligence has an active task force that investigates incursions of UAP into U.S. airspace. Recently, Senator Marco Rubio, who chairs the Senate intelligence committee, introduced a congressional bill giving this intelligence-gathering operation 180 days to disclose its findings regarding these incursions. The Americans seem to consider this an important issue that needs more attention.

Canadian science writer and researcher Chris Rutkowski, who diligently collects nearly all of Canada’s UAP reports from civilian research organizations and those reported to Transport Canada, told me that Canada is experiencing a “possible public safety issue.” While Canada has had 849 reports in 2019, somewhat lower than the usual yearly average, Mr. Rutkowski disclosed that a more in-depth look into Transport Canada’s Civil Aviation Daily Occurrence Reporting System, known as CADORS, seems to portray that pilots have been reporting unknown objects frequently within Canadian airspace for decades. While many of those sightings can be attributed to misidentification or commercial drones and quadcopters, some reports defy prosaic phenomena.

Are UAPs a THREAT? SOME OF THEM A THREAT? NO THREAT AT ALL?

UFO: Friend, Foe or Fantasy "CBS Reports" (1966) - YouTube
Come on, let’s try to think about these issues with greater granularity…or detail about the threat issue because we (all of us) tend to oversimplify and choose sides. I recently saw a video in which the anti threat + consciousness accepting position was stressed in excess, forgetting about the few negative interaction accounts in Ufology.

For what we seem to know out of decades of contact research and analyzing behavior, most are not an actual threat (technology + bad intentions or hostility against us). Some …a few are an actual threat, but they possibly are (for the most part) under a certain control or, according to some contactees (under an apparent agreement with a large confluence of several groups) not to exceed in their activities. There’s complexity here.

Our need to understand through over-simplification may be our own primary internal “enemy.”
Yes, there are SOME cases (a minority) that seem to be “negative.”
Depiction of a craft throwing a blood-suctioning beam on some individuals as was seen in Colares, Brazil, and thoroughly researched by the Brazilian Army.

Perhaps 6-9% according to the anonymous, international, FREE Foundation survey with more than 3,000 contact experiencer anonymous respondents and considering knowledge about a few verified hostile cases like the Colares case in Brazil (and what current cattle mutilations in Argentina and Skinwalker Ranch or other places might mean) relate to the actual threat that -according to some serious contact experiencers – are under control or functioning under some agreed-upon limitations.
But we also need to find out who among “them” already is or can be our FRIENDS and ALLIES in spite of our current human frailties. And some serious contact experiences that have provided evidence over decades appear to show that specific varieties have respected us integrally during more than 40 years of interactions.

But since – among many of the movers and shakers – there is no direct knowledge about who is who among “them,” naturally, for any military, aviation, and national security evaluation team most have to be considered a “POTENTIAL” threat. However, whether we are supposed to depend on external protection forever or evolve in consciousness and – perhaps – not need external protection is an open question.

Moreover, as a species, we should be careful not to extend our own bellicose ways into space with nuclear weapons and especially directed against otherworldly civilizations in unfounded ways, without becoming part of a more inclusive exopolitical inter-world/inter reality agreement! At least not until we mature as a unified species worldwide that takes care of its planetary life and of its own members!

Thus, I can agree with Dr. Greer in some issues but not in his “all are benevolent,” absolutist stance. And I also agree about some issues with the ‘space brother’ crowd (in which I participate) that – in more recent times – has acquired a more balanced view in general. This means that (in spite of popular misconceptions) the entirety of this “crowd” doesn’t necessarily believe that “all are benevolent.” Again, we need to try to think with greater granularity and to… “CONNECT THE DOTS.”
UAPs: THREAT? SOME THREAT? NO THREAT?
We need to teach ourselves to overcome the habit of dichotomizing and over-simplifying things.  It is the tendency of our unprepared human minds to rely on fractional thinking, choosing the information that confirms our beliefs (cognitive bias), getting us into mutually distrusting identity groups based on our sacred partial beliefs and this doesn’t allow our species to move forward in understanding. But if we ‘grow up’ and enough of us reach a plateau of stable integrative values, thinking, activities (as oftentimes benign extraterrestrial entities tell “experiencers” that we are capable of doing), then we may be able to establish a reasonable degree of public open contact with the kindest types of non-human intelligent beings that we can choose. Through it, we may not just learn who is who among the intelligences behind the UFOs but also learn about the rules and principles governing a cosmic society probably waiting for us to join.
What if besides the potential threat of an object that approaches our airplanes and some weird cases of cattle mutilation and a few deleterious cases there is some simple people that have been maintaining a close, friendly and mutually respectful relationship over decades of “working” good causes with benevolent extraterrestrials, like in the Amicizia case from Italy and some Mision Rahma groups or participants capable of working in a sincere ad rational way? Should contacteeism remain a taboo or become a possibility for learning about who is who among “them?”

To get a better handle on who is who in the non-human exopolitical community we also need to invest time in direct contact experience efforts and studies of the information bequeathed to us by persons that have allegedly experienced such contacts. And this includes remote viewing testimonies of vetted and credible former military viewers like former Sargeant Leonard E. Buchanan who mentions a whole variety of friendly and unfriendly psychic and non-psychic gray-type beings and other types of friendly and unfriendly ETs. This is after being asked to research the cases that project Blue Book had to admit as proven.

But is the only reason that the “threat” narrative is so much mentioned because it mobilizes politicians? Because it is sincere and natural to consider a “potential threat?” Because it is convenient either to lay the ground for a fake extraterrestrial invasion that would give more power to the powers that be? All of the above? Some of the above?

If we really find these issues important and care to find out, we really need to engage in a really serious COMPREHENSIVE study!

Greek Mariner Recalls Bermuda Triangle UFO

Article by Patricia Claus                                 July 15, 2020                                  (usa.greekreporter.com)

• In 1978, Greek Merchant Marine radio operator Polycarp Spentzas was working onboard the vessel “Pothiti SWJC” off of Bermuda. The ship had left Cuba bound for Algiers. Just before noon, officers on the ship’s bridge noticed that the ship was sailing at unusually high speed – but the instruments showed a constant speed of 10 to 11 nautical miles an hour. “Some of my colleagues initially hypothesized maybe I had made a mistake in timing, since I was the radio operator,” said Spentzas. “But that did not happen; and the ship continued to tear through the waves like a dolphin.” By noon, the captain asked the second officer to have someone take over the wheel, since he himself did not feel well. He could not lift his arms and his body felt heavy all over.

• Soon the electrician came up from the engine room. He was upset that all of the clocks on the boat had gone ahead two whole hours. Because the gyroscopic compass was turning like crazy, the helmsman was unable to hold the ship to a steady course. The ship was put on autopilot as they passed through the ‘Bermuda Triangle’ – the famed area between Bermuda in the north, the Bahamas in the south, and Miami, Florida in the west.

• By 5pm, Spentzas and the ship’s cook were playing backgammon in the smoking room when they looked out of the window to see a large, white UFO in the sky about a mile away. Then two smaller UFOs also appeared next to the larger UFO. Indeed, one of the smaller one seemed to be attached to the UFO. They reasoned that it must be some sort of American experiment. “I left immediately and went to the bridge to ask, full of anguish, if someone else had seen these bizarre devices,” said Spentzas. No one else had noticed.

• “I looked at my watch and time had passed. I put the radio receiver to 500 KHz, to fill in the calendar and heard Morse code — but it was unnaturally quick,” said Spentzas. “I put out a time request signal to 15 MHz RWM (Radio Moscow) and heard the answering time signals too quickly. …I thought it was the station’s fault.” Spentzas felt that time itself was being affected by the ‘acceleration of the movement of the UFOs’. He told the Captain that is hands wouldn’t work to transmit mores code, and it took him two minutes just to walk to the transmitter in the slow motion false reality happening. The Captain insisted that the ship’s autopilot stay on.

• The next day, the ship’s crew were discussing the bizarre events of the previous day. One sailor said his cigarette burned so fast that he didn’t have time to smoke it. Another crewmate said that as soon as he went to bed at midnight, his clock showed nearly 4:00am and he hadn’t even slept. They all remarked that they felt an abnormally slow heartbeat and hypothermia during the event. After years of thinking about it, Spentzas thinks that the slowed heartbeats of the crew was due to ‘gravitational time dilation’, where the gravitational waves emitted by the accelerating UFOs caused biochemical changes in the metabolism of the sailors’ bodies. This process occurs according to the theories of Niels Bohr and Albert Einstein,“ Spentzas said.

• Over the years there have been a multitude of odd, unexplainable occurrences in the Bermuda Triangle. July 10, 1945, twelve US Navy crewmembers on a seaplane had left the Banana River Florida, Naval Air Station the night before for a training flight to Great Exuma in the Bahamas. They disappeared near Providence Island. No trace of the crew or their aircraft was ever found. Later that same year, another military flight with 14 airmen aboard was lost. Then the plane sent out to locate that aircraft, carrying thirteen men, was also lost. By some counts, there have been as many as 155 people who have perished in that turquoise stretch of water east of Miami.

Greek Merchant Marine radio operator Polycarp Spentzas had an indescribably strange and unforgettable experience while working aboard the vessel “Pothiti SWJC” in 1978 off Bermuda. But he certainly wasn’t the only person to observe these odd occurrences in the last few decades.

Over the years there have been a multitude of odd, unexplainable and unsettling occurrences in that famed area between Bermuda in the north, the Bahamas in the south and Miami Florida in the west, including the disappearance of twelve US Navy crewmembers on a seaplane patrolling there during the Second World War, on July 10, 1945.

They had left the Banana River Florida, Naval Air Station the night before for a training flight to Great Exuma in the Bahamas. The last time they were ever heard from was 1:16 AM the next day, at a position of 25.22N, 7734W, near Providence Island. No trace of the crew or their aircraft has ever been found.

Late that same year, another military flight, with 14 airmen aboard, was lost — and then the plane sent out to try to locate that aircraft, carrying thirteen men — was also lost. By some counts, there have been as many as 155 people who have perished in that otherwise idyllic, turquoise-hued stretch of water east of Miami.

For Spetzos, the merchant mariner, the legendary dangers of that area suddenly became personal in 1978, when in the course of his normal duties he observed the following strange events unfold.

As he recalls it, “We started from Porto Matanzas, Cuba, bound for Algiers, with an average speed of 11 miles. Shortly before 12 noon local time, the officers of the ship’s bridge began to notice that it appeared to them that the ship was sailing at unusually high speed — but the instruments showed a constant speed of 10 to 11 nautical miles an hour.

“Some of my colleagues initially hypothesized maybe I had made a mistake in timing, since I was the radio operator. But that did not happen; and the ship continued to tear through the waves like a dolphin.

Retired RAF Pilot’s Close Encounters With UFOs – One Shaped Like the Michelin Man

Article by Stephen Moyes                                    July 12, 2020                                  (thesun.co.uk)

• Retired RAF pilot Brian Burdett, 83, who flew a Prime Minister, VIPs and the public around the world in a 47-year career, has revealed his own close encounter with a UFO shaped like ‘Michelin Man’.

• In 1970, Burdett was flying a Royal Air Force VC10 at 35,000ft, in a southerly route, 25 miles north of the island of Corsica off of western Italy, when he, his co-pilot, navigator and flight engineer all saw a shiny ‘oil drum’ shaped object hovering motionless in the sky. “All four of us on the flight deck saw exactly what I saw, obviously, and agreed with my description,” said Burdett.

• Speaking for the first time about the sighting, Burdett said, “Imagine a 56 gallon oil drum, the ones that come up to your hip and have those little bulges at regular intervals; imagine Michelin Man. …[I]t was suspended in our 11 o’clock position and above us.” “We concluded it could have been a mile or several (miles away) depending on its size, whatever that was. We lost sight of it when we could crane our heads no higher.” “It was motionless relative to us.”

• Burdett reported the incident to Nice, France Air Traffic Control. Two fighter jets were scrambled to intercept the UFO but the pilots saw nothing on radar. However, a Pan-Am jetliner “reported that he could see exactly what I saw and agreed with me.”

• “It was so unnatural and out of the ordinary and beyond our normal expectations of what things are or appear to be. You had to see it to not believe it,” says Burdett. “There is no doubt in my mind” that it was extraterrestrial or something not developed on this planet.

• But as a pilot, Burdett was no stranger to encountering strange objects in the sky. In 1951, Burdett noticed a light in the sky in the distance which shot off at warp speed. In 1957, while being briefed at RAF Trimingham with some visiting pilots from Belgium, alarms sounded when radar picked up a ’white return’ on the screen. It shot in a northerly direction from Holland at a massive speed and then stopped dead, then shot out again at massive speed toward northern England. “We were immediately ushered out.”

• There have been over 3,500 documented sightings of UFOs by military, civilian and commercial airline pilots, but researchers believe many more pilots are reluctant to report them officially for fear of ridicule or damage to their careers.

• Burdett has written about his close encounters in his book, Forty-Seven Years Aloft. He says, “I’ve never believed pilots are reluctant to report strange sightings. …[T]hey would always report them, in my opinion.” Burdett’s final flight was into Los Angeles in an Airbus 340, in December 2000, having 22,500 hours in his log book.

           Brian Burdett

A retired RAF pilot who flew a Prime Minister, VIPs and the public around the world in a 47-year career has revealed

          ‘Michelin Man’

his own close encounter with a UFO shaped like ‘Michelin Man’.

Brian Burdett, 83, was flying a Royal Air Force VC10 at 35,000ft when the strange ‘oil drum’ shaped object appeared 25 miles north of Corsica.

He was en-route from RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus to RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire and was carrying RAF service personnel and their families to and from Singapore. They were daily flights.

Brian, who was acting Squadron Leader, was left baffled by the object which looked like a bright shiny oil drum.

Speaking for the first time about the sighting, he said: “Imagine a 56 gallon oil drum, the ones that come up to your hip and have those little bulges at regular intervals; imagine Michelin Man.

“Imagine also that it was not black or dirty but shining bright with an immense glare. It was suspended in our 11 o’clock position and above us.

“In real terms, had it been the real thing its apparent size put it 20 feet away but the inability to sense its relative distance was eerie because we could not work it out.

“We concluded it could have been a mile or several depending on its size, whatever that was. We lost sight of it when we could crane our heads no higher.

“It was impossible to focus on it in any normal way. The impression was that it could have been any size and at any distance. As I said, it was eerie. It was motionless relative to us.”

He reported the incident to Nice ATC and two fighter jets were scrambled to intercept the UFO but the pilots saw nothing on radar.

The Mystery of An Alien Abduction Still Captures the Imagination

Article by Joanna Jasinska                               July 11, 2020                                 (thefirstnews.com)

• On May 10, 1978, 71-year-old Jan Wolski was driving a horse-drawn carriage home to his farm in the small village of Emilcin in southwest Poland. Suddenly, two small beings with olive skin, webbed hands and slanting eyes appeared next to him and, speaking in a language Wolski didn’t recognise, led him to a small clearing where a white UFO craft, about half the size of a bus, was hovering five metres above the ground.

• Wolski told a pair of journalists shortly after the incident that at this point, “I tied my horse, then got off and went after [the beings] toward that machine. There was a tiny elevator of some kind… [O]ne of [the beings] went up and put his foot inside this craft. I followed him and was rapidly carried up to the entrance of the craft.” “They indicated that I had to undress,” Wolski continued. “Well, when I was partially undressed (above my waist) but then I received an order to undress completely. So I took off my shoes.”

• “One of the beings then appeared in front of me with an appliance in the form of two dishes combined in its hand,” said Wolski. “[The being] held ‘the saucers’ to my front, then turned me around holding my arm slightly. Then he raised my arm up and began to do something at my side with those plates… then from behind and on the other side. Then he indicated that I should get dressed, and as I did this I looked around but there were neither windows nor lights visible.” Wolski was politely let go.

• This is the account that Wolski told friends and family. When word got around and people went to the site of the abduction, they found strange footprints all over the clearing. The flying saucer was nowhere to be found. But a local boy, Adam Popiołek, also saw the alien craft and alerted his mother about a falling plane.

• Shortly after the event, different family members started to fall ill. One of Wolski’s sons, Edward, died in mysterious circumstances three years later – his body was found in a nearby forest. Today, the Wolski farm is abandoned.

• Researchers and journalists have tried to unravel the mystery of Emilcin. Krzysztof Drozd, the author of Emilcin 197 – In Search of Truth, and publicist Bartosz Rdułtowski re-examined all the research documentation and suggested that the case could have been a hoax. There were some inconsistencies in the first investigation, and a tendency to look for confirmation rather than evidence.

• Today, a UFO memorial stands in Emilcin, featuring a cube balanced on a plinth, to commemorate the alien abduction. It still attracts tourists and extraterrestrial enthusiasts. A time capsule is buried next to the monument to be opened in 3011.

cube balanced on a plinth it commemorates an alleged alien abduction that whisked a local farmer away in a UFO.

Just what happened on May 10, 1978 to 71-year-old Jan Wolski is still a source of intense debate about whether or not it was a close encounter of the third kind.

On that day Wolski was on his way home, driving a horse-drawn carriage. All of a sudden, two small beings with olive skin, webbed hands and slanting eyes apparently appeared next to him and led him to a small clearing, where a UFO was waiting.

Speaking in a language the farmer didn’t recognise, the creatures took him to a white craft which was about half the size of a bus and happened to hovering five metres above the ground. Once inside he was examined by the strange visitors.

Two journalists, Krystyna Adamska and Henryk Pomorski, spoke to Wolski shortly after the extraordinary event. “I tied my horse, then got off and went after them [the beings] toward that machine,” the farmer said in the interview. “There was a tiny elevator of some kind for two people to hold – maybe it couldn’t carry two large people but it surely could slight people… And then one of them went up and put his foot inside this craft. I followed him and was rapidly carried up to the entrance of the craft.

“They indicated that I had to undress,” he continued. “Well, when I was partially undressed (above my waist) but then I received an order to undress completely. So I took off my shoes. One of the beings then appeared in front of me with an appliance in the form of two dishes combined in its hand.

Yorkshire UK’s Strange Sightings Found in Secret UFO Files

Article by James Campbell                                July 11, 2020                                (hulldailymail.co.uk)

• Over the past few years, Britain’s Ministry of Defence has released many of its UFO files. Historian Mike Covell has summarized some of the reports emanating from Yorkshire in northeastern England.

• In July 1967, citizens in and around East Yorkshire (northeast England) watched a strange light in the sky moving east toward the coastline. The staff on a pirate radio ship off of the coast there also saw the light above their vessel and reported it live on air. Three thousand pirate radio listeners called in to say that they too were watching the UFO.

• In January 1967, residents of Hull in northeast Yorkshire UK reported seeing strange red lights over the city. The red lights were never identified, and were blamed on balloons.

• Also in July 1967, a physicist professor from the University of Hull saw a bright white light land in a field near Welton (in northeast Yorkshire). He felt a vibration and heard a buzzing noise. The intensity of the light was so bright that he had to shield his eyes. Then the object became airborne and headed over the nearby waterway. The sighting remains a mystery.

• In 1975, a saucer-shaped UFO craft reportedly landed on The Oval on Garden Village in Hull, UK. Residents were told that it was a gas explosion and they had to be evacuated. The residents suspected a cover-up, and were told by the military to keep quiet about it. The Ministry of Defence were forced to make a statement denying any cover-up.

• In October 1986, a resident in the Bransholme section of Hull, UK reported seeing a strange half-moon shaped object, much larger than a passenger aircraft, curved on the uppermost section, with a red light on the side, and emitting a white glow. The sighting was reported to the police who referred it to the Ministry of Defence. Twenty witnesses saw the craft move east to west, then back to the east, then hovered and vanished.

• In January 1987, after seeing the bright light vanish, residents of Bransholme reported seeing a bright red circular object which was closely followed by a thick trail of black smoke moving in a westerly direction on a clear evening. Humberside Police took the report and forwarded it to the Ministry of Defence.

• On February 26 1988 at 4am, a Hull resident saw a large craft with red and orange flashing lights flying south during a snowstorm. It too was reported to the Humberside Police.

• On December 10, 1988 at 7:45am, a small aircraft with a ‘glow around it’ was reported to Humberside Police, and was also spotted by two Hessle police officers. It was reported to the Royal Air Force.

• On July 12, 1989, witnesses reported seeing a stationary bright white object which then changed to red and traveled from Hull to nearby Humber. The single craft was then joined by five other lights that began to circle it. It was reported to Humberside Police who forwarded it to the Ministry of Defence.
• On September 5, 1989, a several witnesses saw a bright craft over the village of Keyingham and reported the incident to Humberside Police. At 1:20am, the UFO hovered for twenty minutes, flashing twice per second. It was reported to the Ministry of Defence.

• In November 1996, witnesses saw a series of strange balls of orange light spotted across the city of Hull. The lights weaved in and out of formation, circling each other as they flew from the north to the south. It was reported to the Humberside Police and was blamed on Chinese lanterns.
• In July 1990 just before midnight, a resident of Hessle reported seeing a triangular shaped craft circling over their house for 45 minutes. It had a square rear end and was constantly emitting a bright light as it moved. Then it hovered over their house for thirty minutes before ‘shooting off vertically’. It was reported to Humberside Police who could see the craft on its closed circuit tv. They forwarded it to the Ministry of Defence.

• Over several nights in July 1997, numerous eyewitnesses across Hull reported to Humberside Police seeing a series of silent, triangular craft in the sky over the Humber Estuary. At least nine people spoke to newspaper reporters at the Hull Daily Mail of seeing the craft. The first sighting took place at 7.30pm on July 25th, with reports coming in all night and for many days after, with the final sighting coming on August 4. The craft moved from west to east and headed toward the North Sea. One eyewitness watched the craft through binoculars. Another stated seeing similar craft over Hull on at least four occasions that year. A second sighting on July 26th described a silver cigar shaped object with sharp pointed wings and a red light on one side with a green light on the other. moving at a steady speed. Explanations included mass hallucinations, weather balloons, blimps, and Chinese lanterns.

• On July 26 2013, the Hull Daily Mail reported a UFO sighting over eastern Hull. A woman described the object as bright and almost fan shaped, about half the size of the moon. The object moved in a clockwise direction, rotating round and round, then dropped sharply to the earth, before rising again.

Hull maybe deemed the end of the line but it has proven a popular destination for alien visitors.

There have been a surprising number of sightings over the last 50 or 60 years with flying discs and curious bright lights being spotted across East Yorkshire’s open skies.

Some sightings can easily be explained away as satellites, airplanes or weather phenomenon.

These days such reports could now be drones and we have more ambitious satellite projects such as Elon Muck’s Starlink which has them positioned in a line.

But other sightings are more challenging to rationalise.

In the last few years the Ministry of Defence has released many of its UFO files and local historian Mike Covell delved into the online reports ton find out more.

Mass sighting

During July 1967, a number of people as far and wide as Hull, Bridlington, Hornsea, and Withernsea, saw a strange light in the sky, which moved towards the coast.

Staff on a pirate radio ship saw it above their vessel and reported it live on air, with thousands of callers calling in to state they could also see the craft.
By the end of the show, 3,000 listeners reported seeing it but it was never identified.

That was a bumper year for sightings around the world, but locally they started in January when Hull residents witnessed strange red lights over the Humber and across the city.

The coastguard confirmed they were not responsible for the lights and even launched to see if it was a stricken vessel in the Humber but nothing was found.

Others claimed the sighting was nothing more than a balloon.

Professor’s brief encounter of the third kind

The village of Welton was the scene of a bizarre encounter in July 1967.

A physicist professor from the University of Hull saw a bright white light land in a field near Welton.

He felt a vibration and heard a buzzing noise. He shielded his eyes because of the intensity of the light and next saw it airborne and heading across the Humber. The sighting was never fully explained away and remains a mystery.

The First Ever UFO Was Seen in the Skies Above Berkshire UK

Article by Hugh Fort                                July 11, 2020                             (getreading.co.uk)

• On August 18, 1783 at around 9pm, townspeople in Berkshire (in south-central England) watched “flashes of light on the northern horizon” followed by a “roundish shiny object” as big as “half the width of the moon”. It started off still, but then began to move and became brighter. It became oblong-shaped and so bright it “illuminated the whole landscape”. Then the object developed a tail and “several luminous bodies, each with its own tail.” Then they disappeared. Reports say that, ten minutes later, witnesses from Shetland to Brussels saw the sphere become elliptical (egg-shaped) and repeatedly changed between the two shapes, high in the sky and traveling at an incredibly fast speed.

• According to a book by Duncan MacKay entitled, Bizarre Berkshire, the common explanation for the UFO was that it was a very bright meteor. But witnesses said it was travelling parallel with the earth, rather than hurtling towards it. Also, no crater was ever found.

• One witness, Tiberius Cavallo, wrote about the sighting: “It is certain of between 9.15pm and 9.30pm that night a very bright meteor, having entered the earth’s atmosphere over the open waters of the North Sea, passed along the whole eastern coast of northern Scotland and England.” Of course, in 1783, no one had ever heard of an extraterrestrial UFO craft.

• In 1783, photography was years away. A painter and Royal Academian, Paul Sandby did draw the scene for posterity. (see etching above) The incident was documented by the group of people who watched from Windsor Castle in Berkshire.

The modern world is littered with reports of UFOs.

Barely a day goes by without someone claiming they’ve seen a flying saucer as they reclined their seat in business class, or gazed into the skies above Bracknell, for example.

Tales of eerie happenings in the sky are tenfold, and most of the time are met with scepticism or, at the very least, a raised eyebrow.
Sightings have been commonplace since man took to the skies. But did you know the first recorded UFO sighting came way before the miracle of flight?

And did you know it was spotted in the skies above in Berkshire?
The brilliant book Bizarre Berkshire by Duncan MacKay, available from Reading’s Two Rivers Press, takes us way back to 1783 to tell the tale.

The world’s first UFO sighting

Photography was years away in 1783 and so the first sighting of a UFO had to be etched. It was created by painter and Royal Academian Paul Sandby after an extraordinary incident in Windsor.

It happened on August 18, at around 9pm.

People across Britain claimed to have seen it, but it was Sandby, his brother Paul, Tiberius Cavallo, Dr James Lind, Dr Lockman and two unknown women, who were in Windsor Castle at the time, who were able to document it.
