• Former police detective-turned UFO hunter, Gary Heseltine says that the US government is aware of the many snake-like UFOs that have been spotted across the country and are monitoring them.
• Over the past several months, people from all parts of the US have claimed to have captured bizarre objects in the skies on camera, which bear similarities to snakes in their movement. There was a snake UFO sighting in June over the Mojave Desert in California. Since then there have also been such sightings over Wyoming and New York. Heseltine says that cigar-shaped UFOs have been seen for decades. But these are ‘snake’ like objects that move like it was “alive”. “These sightings can be rare and have been seen around the world from time to time, particularly in South American countries like Mexico and Peru.”
• Retired after 24 years with the British Transport Police, Heseltine now runs the Police Reporting UFO Sightings database where he claims to have more than 500 reports of UFO sightings from police officers dating back to 1901. He describes himself as the UK’s leading researcher UFO sightings. Heseltine says that he has “met many people who were formerly military pilots” who have had had UFO encounters. “There is no doubt in my mind that a small proportion of UFO reports involve ET visitation.”
• Heseltine claims that the US military and government have “controlled the UFO field worldwide since the 1940s”. “I suspect that we only know 10% of the truth about UFOs and ET contact which means 90% is still in the secret world of military intelligence.” “I certainly believe that the US government and military know much more about ET visitation.”
The US government is likely aware of the snake-like UFOs that have been spotted across the country and are monitoring them, a former police detective has revealed.
Over the past several months, people from all parts of the US have claimed to have captured bizarre objects in the skies on camera, which bear similarities to snakes in their movement.
The sightings started in June, when a popular YouTuber was shocked to discover a bright light above the Mojave Desert in California.
Since then, they have supposedly been spotted during a meteor shower in Wyoming as well as over New York moving like it was “alive”.
After the sightings exploded, Daily Star Online asked Detective Constable-turned UFO hunter Gary Heseltine his thoughts on the mysterious “craft”.
“Cigar-shaped UFOs have been seen for decades,” he told this site.
“Occasionally some reports involve ‘snake’ like objects.

• Included in a list of aviation near-misses reported to the UK Airprox Board is a UFO seen by a pilot cruising above Barnard Castle in February 2017. According to the pilot, the UFO was flying “almost directly overhead (of) the aircraft in the opposite direction” as the plane traveled at an altitude approaching 18,000 ft. The UFO passed at high speed 200 ft above the aircraft, and remained in view for just two seconds.
• The Airprox report reflects a situation in which the distance between an aircraft and the object could have compromised the safety of the aircraft. There were 36 such reports involving unknown objects in UK airspace investigated by the Board between 2017 and 2019, according to analysis by Newsquest’s Data Investigations Unit. The Civil Aviation Authority said it was likely that most reports involved drones, model aircraft or balloons.
• The pilot in the Barnard Castle case initially believed the moving object could have been a military jet or potentially a drone. However, many reports reviewed by the board involved sightings of unknown objects at thousands of feet off the ground, at heights above drone capability.
• Nick Pope, who investigated UFO sightings for the Ministry of Defence (MoD), said there were many incidents that deserved more interrogation. Said Pope, “[M]any reports being attributed to drone activity should more properly be characterized as ‘unknown objects’.” We’re “being too quick to blame drones”.
• Pope continued, “The situation has been under-resourced since the 2009 termination of the MoD’s UFO program, and while I’m aware that the MoD continues to study such matters, more should be done.”
• UFO researcher Glen Richardson said he receives multiple reports a year relating to potential alien activity in the North-East, including claims of abduction. Richardson thinks the UK authorities could be working covertly to investigate such cases, and urged them to be more transparent about their findings.
• Dr David Clarke with the Centre for Contemporary Legend at Sheffield Hallam University said, “Things that are unexplained are likely to be natural phenomenon – not aliens from other planets. That’s not to say those reports are of no interest.”
• A Ministry of Defence spokesman said that with the millions of flights in UK airspace each year, “[t]he low number of these incidents highlight the professionalism of commercial, military and private aviators.”
A REAL-LIFE X Files investigator has joined a UFO researcher from the North-East in calling for more to be done to uncover the truth behind mysterious objects spotted in the skies.
A unidentified flying object seen by a pilot cruising above Barnard Castle is included in a list of near-misses reported to the organisation responsible for monitoring close calls that could compromise the safety of aircraft in flight.

• Spencer Jackson, 52, from Wisbech (Fens of Cambridgeshire, England) was driving along the A142 in the early hours of Sunday morning September 8th when he saw an object falling from the sky. Spencer claims the space craft “was like nothing he’s ever seen before”.
• “When I got near Wimblington/Chatteris I saw something falling from the sky,” said Jackson. “It was this bright white, almost silver color – brighter than anything I’ve ever seen.” “It wasn’t a plane or a meteor.” “It was coming down at an angle.” “It was bigger than a truck.” “It was huge.”
• Spencer says the object vanished before it hit the ground. “It looked as though it was breaking apart as it came down, but then it was nowhere to be seen.” Spencer who works on a business park near Haverhill, said his colleague, who was coming from the opposite side of the county, also claimed to see “the long white thing fall [from the sky] and disintegrate”.
• “My wife has been laughing at me, but I’m not mad.”
A man got the shock of his life this weekend, when he spotted a UFO “bigger than a truck” on his way to work.
Spencer Jackson, 52, from Wisbech claims he saw the mysterious flying object falling from the sky while he was driving along the A142 in the early hours of Sunday morning (September 8).
Despite his wife’s initial disbelief, Spencer claims the space craft “was like nothing he’s ever seen before”.
Speaking to CambridgeshireLive, Spencer said: “I can’t explain what I saw – but it fell from the sky.
“It wasn’t a plane or a meteor.
“It was coming down at an angle, (on a clock face from 10-4) it was huge.
“I’ve looked on Youtube and I can’t find anything which looks the same.
“British Aersopace or the Ministry of Defence must know something – it was so big. ”
Spencer also said he wished he’d had someone in the car with him to get a picture of the object.
“I was driving to work at about 5:25am, the sun was just coming up and I was driving from Wisbech along the A142.

“Now this is Fenland and it’s a long, flat, wide open bit of road.

• Sabir Hussain, a Chennai based independent researcher on UFO sightings and director of the Indian Society for UFO Studies, believes the loss of communication and telemetry was no accident but a warning from extraterrestrials. Said Sabir, “UFO researchers around the world believe that the extraterrestrials have sent a message to the Indian government to ‘get rid of your nukes before you explore other worlds’.” “Why do you think the Americans refused to go to the Moon after 1973?”
• “[T]he failure of Chandrayaan 2 is not at all surprising to me,” says Sabir. “Both India and Pakistan have been openly threatening each other with nuclear attacks. But what the leadership of both these nations do not realize is that they can use their nuclear weapons only if the UFOs decide to allow them.”
• Former US Air Force Missile Launch Officer, Robert Salas, witnessed a UFO switching off ten nuclear missiles under his command in 1967, and concurs with Sabir. Salas noted that Mr Hussain cited numerous instances and statements to support his claim of alien interference in the world ‘s nuclear affairs. Said Salas, “Astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell, the sixth man to walk on the moon, has openly stated that aliens have already visited earth. US astronaut, Gordon Cooper in his 1978 letter to the UN has acknowledged it. Mercury Seven astronaut, Donald Slayton, has described seeing a three feet wide UFO from his P-51 fighter jet at an altitude of 10,000 feet in 1951.”
• Soviet cosmonaut and Soyuz-5 spacecraft pilot, Yevegni Khrunov, cosmonaut, Vladimir Kovalyonok and cosmonaut, major general Pavel Popovich have also acknowledged UFO sightings, one of them on May 5, 1981 from the Salyut-6 space station.
• Sabir says that in 2014-2015, the UFOs were toying with American nuclear aircraft carriers, Theodore Roosevelt and Nimitz. “UFOs are very concerned about humans playing with nuclear weapons.”
While the reasons for the failure of India’s Chandrayaan-2 programme are still being studied, some bizarre theories on what could have led to it are already making the rounds – extra terrestrials interfering with the moon landing!
Mr Sabir Hussain, a Chennai based independent researcher on UFO sightings and director of the Indian Society for UFO Studies (INSUFOS) believes the loss of communication that Isro scientists suffered with the Vikram lander just before it was to land on the moon’s surface was no accident but a warning from extra terrestrials.

“As a researcher studying the UFO-Nuclear Weapons, the failure of Chandrayaan 2 is not at all surprising to me,” Mr Hussain added in a chat with the Deccan Chronicle.
“Recently some Indian ministers have been making very irresponsible and dangerous statements on the use of nuclear weapons. If we had taken the warnings on UFO activity seriously, this situation could have been averted. Why do you think the Americans refused to go to the Moon after 1973?” he asked.

• Canada has a rich history of unexplained UFO incidents, which fuels a substantial community of believers. The Canadian branch of MUFON gets reports of between 500-600 sightings per year, which is double what they had just 15 years ago. About six percent of these sightings cannot be explained.
• Victor Viggiani is a former elementary school teacher who wrote letters to the Canadian government requesting documents that detailed military contacts with UFOs. Says Viggiani, “I got one solid document out of Comox Air Force Base in September of 2001 where two CF-18’s were scrambled to chase three unknown tracks of interest.” According to the document labeled ‘secret’, a medical evacuation plane flying nearby also reported the three moving lights that were moving too fast for it to catch up. “[E]ventually the CF-18s catch up to these things,” Viggiani says. “They make contact. It says right in the document. And then the one line reads: CF-18s contact at 35,000 feet. And then after that, it’s redacted.”
• In 1967, Stan Michalak was prospecting next to Falcon Lake, Manitoba, when he came into contact with a flying saucer which left him with an odd grid of burn marks on his chest. Also in 1967, over a dozen people in different locations witnessed what they believed to be a late-night plane crash in Shag Harbour, Nova Scotia. But there was no plane or crash debris to be found.
• In 2016 an Alberta man caught a small object zoom by at an incredible speed on camera. And in 2017 a man in Squamish British Columbia video recorded a green glowing orb flying into the forest.
• Viggiani ruminates, “[T]his stuff has been going on for centuries. The human family has had a history of things from the sky. Every single Indigenous population on the planet has stories about things or people from the sky and it goes back a long, long way.”
Is the truth really out there?
If you believe Canadian UFO disclosure expert Victor Viggiani, stories of alien visitors have been right in front of us all along.
“The problem is this stuff has been going on for centuries,” he says. “The human family has had a history of things from the sky. Every single Indigenous population on the planet has stories about things or people from the sky and it goes back a long, long way.”

The sighting is similar to what U.S. navy pilots experienced in 2014 and 2015 when UFOs were captured on their aircraft cameras moving at supersonic speeds. Video of those incidents, which were never explained, was released by the Pentagon. If there is video from the Canadian incident, Viggiani says nobody is saying.
Canada has a rich history of unexplained incidents, which is fueling a substantial community of believers.

• The town of Exeter, New Hampshire recently held its annual UFO Festival. Ten-year resident of Exeter, the 92-year old Irving “Bill” Glater, had a story to tell to help mark the occasion.
• On May 16, 1953, Glater was a lieutenant in the 2nd Armored Division of the U.S. Army, stationed outside Mainz, West Germany. On this day he was off-duty and enjoying the spring day with his wife and two neighbors. His wife called him outside where they were staring in awe at a large, black flying saucer, hovering about 2000 feet above a soccer field about a mile away.
• As Glater recalled, “The flying saucer had the classic shape that I had read about – a round disc, thick in the middle, tapering to a thinner edge. There were no lights or smoke to be seen, nor was any noise heard.” The UFO jumped around the clear sky roughly a dozen times. It would hover in one place, then temporarily disappear before reappearing in a different position in the sky. “We couldn’t track its movements,” Glater said. “If I had known it would’ve stayed there for five minutes, I would’ve (gone back inside the house and) gotten my camera,” Glater said. Just as quickly as the UFO darted around the sky, it disappeared from view for good.
• A week later, Glater called the US Air Force base in Wiesbaden to inquire about the UFO. A duty officer told him they had not received any reports of UFO activity. Through the years when Glater and his wife recounted their UFO story to friends, they never knew if they were believed or not. But Glater maintains, “We saw what we saw.”

Glater was stationed outside Mainz, West Germany, as a lieutenant in the 2nd Armored Division of the U.S. Army and was enjoying some rest and relaxation with his wife of three months, Phyllis, and their two neighbors. While Glater was doing some chores inside he heard his wife call for him and he found the three of them staring at the sky where a jet-black flying saucer hovered approximately 2,000 feet above a Mainz soccer match, roughly a mile from Glater’s home.

If you held out a hockey puck with an extended arm; that’s how big it looked from the distance we were watching it from.”
With Exeter’s annual UFO Festival happening this weekend, Glater said he wanted to share his own UFO story as a showing of solidarity with those seeking more answers to what and who may be out there beyond the Milky Way.

• On June 11th, 2019, the Director of the Indian Society for UFO Studies, Sabir Husain, filed a “Public Interest Litigation” pleading directly to the Supreme Court of India, asking that the court direct the Indian government to take UFO sightings seriously, and to form an organization to keep tabs on extraterrestrial activities. During this time of heightened tensions between India and Pakistan over the region of Kashmir, Sabir warns that the primary threat to India is that extraterrestrial UFOs have been known to intentionally incite attacks between terrestrial enemies by posing as an enemy aircraft or initiating a cyber-attack, in order to provoke or escalate a war.
• In the Public Interest Litigation filing, Sabir cites a February 26, 2019 incident which caused an air strike against Pakistan, the downing of an Indian fighter jet, and the loss of an Indian helicopter by friendly fire as an example of possible UFO interference. In what is known as the ‘Balakot airstrike’, an Indian fighter jet was shot down over Pakistan after Indian fighter jets had bombed an area near the Pakistani town of Balakot. Sabir claims that the Indian jet was actually trying to shoot down a Pakistani drone. But when the Indian pilots encountered the drone, it suddenly changed course and disappeared. Pakistan later denied having a drone in the area.
• Hours later on February 27th, an Indian military helicopter was returning to base when its radar transponder failed to identify the helicopter as ‘friendly’, and the Indian base shot it down with a missile killing six officers on board. Sabir suspects that extraterrestrials caused the transponder interference to provoke further action by the Indian military against Pakistan.
• Sabir argues that extraterrestrial UFO provocation between earthly enemies is not unprecedented. In 1972, UFOs appearing on radar nearly triggered a war between the United States and the USSR. The two countries later signed a treaty in which they recognized the presence of UFOs and agreed to carefully analyze an aircraft violating a country’s airspace before ordering a retaliation.
• Sabir notes that UFOs were reported in the vicinity of US military bases in 1945, and since then UFOs have been seen over many other nuclear sites around the world. “The extraterrestrials can remotely control the earth’s nuclear assets, trigger a missile or even deactivate or render them defunct…” says Sabir.
• UFO sightings have been reported along the Indo-Pak border since 1977. Sabir claims that forty other countries are currently on guard against UFOs. He urges the Indian government to create a special agency to monitor UFO activity as well. “The (American) CIA’s secrecy surrounding extraterrestrial findings has created a false perception that UFOs are a myth,” says Sabir. “We need to take seriously the substantiated reports (of UFOs).” “[N]uclear destruction can happen in a minute if aliens manipulate tensions.”
• Sabir’s Public Interest Litigation filing references the support of nine military officers and scientists from the US, UK, France, Chile and Peru, with seven of them writing directly to the Supreme Court of India. Researchers from thirty countries are lined up to testify before India’s Supreme Court.
• Finally, Sabir noted the many UFO sightings reported around India. On July 16, 2019, locals in southern Tamil Nadu reported seeing numerous UFOs above the Rocket Propulsion Research Center. The government dismissed them as drone cameras. But when the facility shined spotlights on these ‘drones’, they immediately disappeared. On June 7, 2018, a UFO was seen hovering above the Parliament of India. On September 17, 2017, a UFO was sighted above the Indian Prime Minister’s residence. In 2013, Indian soldiers reported seeing hundreds of UFOs entering Indian air space from China over a period of a few months. Indian scientists blamed these hundreds of sightings on the planets Jupiter and Venus.
• July 1976 was the year of the first UFO sighting reported in India, where a flying saucer was seen along the Indo-Pak border. The pilots of the two MIG-21 fighter jets that were sent to engage with the saucer said that it “zipped away” at a speed of 4,170 kilometers per hour (or 2,600 miles per hour). On January 11, 1977, three UFOs reportedly circled around an Indian Air Force transport jet in mid-air for some time. On July 16, 1977, an Air India 747 was about to land on the Kolkata Dum Dum Airport runway when a UFO, the same size as the jumbo aircraft, came head on towards it. The pilot braced for a collision but the UFO disappeared.
• As a veteran UFO researcher of 20 years, Sabir told the Deccan Chronicle that, “India needs to take the reported UFO sightings more seriously. Further ignorance can cause irreversible damage to India-Pakistan-China in the form of nuclear wars triggered by decoy UFOs. The extraterrestrials are manipulating drone wars between India and Pakistan forces.”
“Wars are not merely because of the earthly border politics but also due to smart sabotages by greater extraterrestrial forces from beyond the globe.”
Have we got your attention yet? “The attacks from either side of the enemy countries are sabotaged by means of radar and detection-proof Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) transponderless Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO) manipulated from beyond the globe… The UFOs are found hovering over nuclear reactors or missile areas, military bases … the extraterrestrials can remotely control the earth’s nuclear assets, trigger a missile or even deactivate or render them defunct…”

Sounds like something out of a sci-fi film, doesn’t it? It is an excerpt, in fact, from a PIL filed with the Supreme Court of India on June 11 this year, by Chennai-based independent researcher on UFO sightings by Sabir Husain, Director of the Indian Society for UFO Studies (INSUFOS). He asks, in his plea, that the court direct the government to take UFO sightings seriously and form an organisation to keep tabs on extraterrestrial activities.”
The PIL has references to nine military officers and scientists from five countries-US, UK, France, Chile and Peru, seven of them writing directly to the Supreme Court of India. There is even a reference to Nuclear Physicist Stanton Friedman, who wrote the foreword for Hussain’s forthcoming book, ‘Accidental UFO Apocalypse’. The current Director-General of the Chile UFO Research Agency has also promised to write about the phenomenon and its implications on the Indo-Pak relationship. The PIL says 30 countries are ready to testify before the court! Sabir Hussain is the only representative selected from India to approach UN with a delegation from 30 countries and is supported by the Chinese government, said Hussain.

Sabir Hussain has extensively researched UFO sightings over the last 20 years. He tells Deccan Chronicle, “India needs to take the reported UFO sightings more seriously. Further ignorance can cause irreversible damage to India-Pakistan-China in the form of nuclear wars triggered by decoy UFOs. The extra terrestrials are manipulating drone wars between India and Pakistan forces, which also impacted the strikes in Balakot.”
Sabir analysed his observations in India with regard to UFO sightings from the latest in Indo-Pak border to the reported beginning in 1977. He also drew analogy with the sightings since its first reported instance in US military base in 1945 and later in different countries depending on their nuclear upgrades.

• A 2013 story by Babak Taghvaee in Combat Aircraft magazine claimed that Iranian fighter jets have encountered mysterious ‘CIA spy drones’ flying over Iran’s nuclear power sites looking for an atomic weapons program. In 2012, one of these ‘flying robots’ reportedly also shot down an Iranian F-14 fighter jet attempting to intercept it.
• Tehran’s two major nuclear reactor facilities at Bushehr and Arak and an enrichment plant at Natanz became public knowledge in 2002. In 2004, Iran deployed a task force of refurbished fighter jets to prevent an attack on those facilities by ‘Western forces’ concerned that these facilities could be used to assemble atomic weapons. The Iranian jets encountered what it believed were CIA drones with “astonishing flight characteristics.”
• Apparently, these ‘CIA drones’ were able to jam radars and navigation systems, hover, fly at night, and fly “outside of the atmosphere” at speeds of up to Mach 10. Also, these drones emitted a blue light that led to their nickname: “luminous objects”. Taghvaee writes, “In several cases … F-14s faced them but were unable to operate their armament systems properly,”. One fighter jet taking off to intercept a luminous object on January 26, 2012 mysteriously exploded, killing both crewmen. Taghvaee implies the alleged drone was somehow responsible.
• Do the US Air Force and the CIA have a secret stealth drone that is capable of Mach-10 hypersonic flight while the American military’s best fighter jets struggle to reach Mach five? Probably not. These unmanned aerial vehicles’ flight characteristics and capabilities are far beyond what any known drone can achieve. So then, what are the Iranian F-14s chasing up there?
Iran is the only other country besides the United States to operate arguably history’s most powerful interceptor aircraft, the F-14 Tomcat. And the Islamic republic has worked the twin-engine, swing-wing fighters hard.
The F-14s played a major role in Iran’s war with Iraq from 1980 to 1988. Iranian Tomcat pilots were the only ones to successfully employ the F-14’s long-range, heavyweight AIM-54 Phoenix missile to shoot down enemy planes.
In the decades after the war, Tehran repaired and upgraded the surviving F-14s, scouring the globe for parts in defiance of a U.S. government embargo.
The Americans retired their F-14s in 2006, but around 40 of Iran’s Tomcats remain active. Their main role is defending Iran’s nuclear sites. It’s a mission that has brought the interceptors in close contact with some very mysterious aircraft, according to a bizarre and fascinating 2013 story in Combat Aircraft magazine by reporter Babak Taghvaee.
The Iranians believed the objects were spy drones belonging to the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, sent to sniff out Tehran’s suspected atomic weapons program. But they attribute to these alleged unmanned aerial vehicles flight characteristics and capabilities far beyond what any known drone can achieve.
And in 2012 one of the alleged flying robots reportedly also shot down an F-14 attempting to intercept it. Or at least some Iranians seem genuinely to believe so.

The aliens care much more what happens to the animals and plant life on our planet, than they do about us.”

• This writer, Gwen Rigby, began to research the UFO phenomenon after she visited Roswell, New Mexico and attended a UFO Congress in Phoenix where she found “normal people who had extraordinary things happen to them”. She became convinced that there was truth out there, and she became less of a skeptic and more of a believer.
• Rigby has noticed that UFOs have been in the news a lot lately. But she suspects that this is due to a “soft disclosure” narrative that the military is pursuing, to reveal the extraterrestrial presence in drips and not a flood of information that might cause a panic. The Navy has released video of a “Tic Tac” UFO seen by Navy pilots, and eased its guidelines for Navy personnel to report UFOs. Still, in response to this measured disclosure, two million people signed up to Storm Area 51 on September 20th.
• Santa Barbara County, just north of Los Angeles, California, is no stranger to UFO or USO sightings. In February 1942, it witnessed “the Battle of LA” when military artillery shot 1,440 rounds of anti-aircraft shells at an anomalous UFO craft in the sky.
• While multiple UFO sightings have been reported since the atomic bomb was developed in the 1940’s, there have been no reports of actual attacks or threats to humanity. In fact, it appears that extraterrestrials have worked to stop us from nuclear self-annihilation. In 1967, Lieutenant Robert Salas reported that a hovering UFO disabled 10 missile silos under Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana. In 1964, a test missile was destroyed shortly after launch at Vandenberg Air Force Base. And in 1982, Lieutenant Robert Jacobs revealed a film clip he took of a UFO shooting beams at a dummy missile. • Santa Barbara has seen hundreds of “USOs”, or “unidentified submersible objects” off of the Pacific coast. It is alleged that an undersea alien base has existed there for decades. Preston Dennett, author of the books UFOs Over California and Undersea UFO Base, claims that in the 1970’s families would head to the Point Dume beach at night to watch the multicolored show for entertainment.
• MUFON investigator, Richard Browman, tells the story of a man in Point Mugu, near Los Angeles, receiving a telepathic message to “go outside and look.” When he did, he and his family reportedly saw five or six red orbs come down the coast and hover over the naval base. The orbs danced around and then sped off. The fellow later learned that the base had gone on alert and scrambled its jets.
• Investigations have shifted from focusing on the nuts and bolts of spaceships to studying what they are and why they arrived. More contactees are speaking out. Former soldiers have come forward with fantastic stories of secret space programs and direct contact with aliens. Rumors of pyramids, ancient civilizations, and even giant motherships under two miles of ice may soon be verified as the Antarctic ice continues to melt, according to Dr. Michael Salla in his book Antarctica’s Hidden History.
• People can learn of all the UFO activity on our planet by going to UFO conferences or reading some of the many books on the subject. California conferences include ‘Dimensions of Disclosure’ organized by Corey Goode in Ventura, California in August 2019; ‘Portal to Ascension’ in Irvine in October; ‘Conscious Life Expo’ in Los Angeles in February 2020; ‘Contact in the Desert’ in Palm Springs in early June 2020; and ‘UFO Con’ in Los Angeles in mid-June.

It has been called a “soft disclosure,” meaning the military is leaking bits of information on UFOs to the public rather than making a major announcement and causing a panic.
This April, the U.S. Navy acknowledged guidelines for how their pilots can report encounters with anomalous ships without fear of reprisal. This comes after a New York Times article about numerous sightings of Tic Tac–shaped UFOs around the USS Nimitz south of San Diego. According to a spokesman for naval operations, there has been an overall “uptick of interaction with aerial phenomenon” since 2014. There have been less controlled responses, too. Over two million people have signed up on Facebook to storm Area 51 on September 20 to “see them aliens.”
Santa Barbara County is no stranger to sightings and played a part in the famous Battle of Los Angeles. Two days after the Japanese shelled the Ellwood Pier near Goleta in 1942, and just a few months after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, a giant ship appeared over Los Angeles. After he submitted the film to his superior officers, one called him in and asked if he and his “boys were screwing around up there.” The officer ordered Jacobs to say nothing of the film or the incident. Jacobs later spoke out because he felt unjustly treated and that “they” were telling us “to stop messing with nuclear weapons.”

• Fast Radio Bursts (FRB’s) are very brief and “mysterious space signals” that originate from galaxies throughout our universe, though not from our own Milky Way galaxy. FRBs are composed of compact, complex radio waves, and are difficult to track and pin down. Many of the intense flashes have traveled billions of light-years across space.
• Now, according to the New York Post, a doctoral student at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia named Wael Farah has matched the Molonglo telescope in Canberra with an artificially intelligent machine-learning system that recognizes FRB signatures as they arrive to produce the finest records of FRBs yet. Farah’s research was recently published in the Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.
• FRBs have “mysterious structures, patterns of peaks and valleys in radio waves that play out in just milliseconds”, quite unlike what you’d expect to see from a massive collision or explosion that randomly happen throughout the universe. So what are they? Are they signs of intelligent alien civilizations? If so, they must be up to something pretty spectacular to produce enough energy to reach us with that much power from far off galaxies.
• Then the question is, is detecting aliens a good enough excuse to unleash even more Artificial Intelligence into the global web? Carl Sagan warned us long ago that alerting advanced extraterrestrial civilizations to our presence was probably a bad idea. Steven Hawking once warned that while AI doesn’t hold actual malice against humans, if the AI’s goals aren’t aligned with our own, we’re in trouble.
• So now we’re mixing the search for possible extraterrestrials with Artificial Intelligence. What could possibly go wrong?
While still being a bit on the frightening side, the science behind this story is still kind of cool and worth a look. The “mysterious space signals” referenced in the title are probably more familiar to those of you who follow such topics as Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs). They originate all over the universe, though not from our own Milky Way Galaxy (yet, thankfully), and are composed of compact, complex radio waves that don’t seem like the sort of thing you’d get from a normal spacial event like a supernova or the creation of a black hole.

• UFO Hunter UK YouTube released a video clip of a wobbly, yet well defined, metallic saucer UFO over Mexico, in broad daylight. Viewers joked that this might be the first-ever UFO DUI.
There are 100 billion stars in our galaxy alone, and a sextillion of them in the universe – that’s a 1 with 21 zeroes after it. If there are eight planets around our star, the sun, and one of those planets has life on it, chances are pretty good there is at least one other planet somewhere out there with intelligent lifeforms. And since there hundreds of UFO sightings a year, it seems even more likely. In fact, there are so many UFOs spotted in the sky that when video of one comes out, people don’t even react to the unidentified flying object and instead, get distracted by other things.
Take this latest footage of a purported UFO that was allegedly spotted in Mexico. In it, a saucer is floating in the clear blue sky, but because it is wobbling side to side, people who’ve watched it are more interested in if the alie nbehind the wheel has been drinking than the fact that extra-terrestrials might be visiting us.

• On August 3rd, 2019, residents of Cincinnati, Ohio were treated to a bizarre light show during the daytime. Witnesses Laina and Angie captured the UFO sighting on video (see video below). • The video begins with four bright objects moving in a line formation in front of clouds. One-by-one, they vanish from sight. Then the objects re-appear. “I just don’t know,” the camerawomen says. A fifth light then emerges on the left-hand side of the screen. YouTuber MrMBB333 who uploaded the clip said, “They didn’t go behind the clouds, they were in front of the clouds.” The objects again disappear. The man remarks, “It was still daylight, so if they were some sort of physical craft, which I’m sure they probably were, how come you couldn’t see them?”
Shocked witnesses Laina and Angie captured the bizarre sighting in the skies above the city in Ohio, US, on August 3.

• Retired journalist Bob Gatty, 76, originally reported on the Kecksburg UFO incident for the Greensburg Tribune-Review, when on December 9th, 1965, people across six states and Canada reported seeing a fireball streak across the sky before crashing into a wooded area in Mt. Pleasant Township, Pennsylvania, a southeastern suburb of Pittsburgh. (Note: The Army and State Police cordoned off the area, and claimed that they found nothing there in the woods. But locals have come forward to say they saw a military truck removing an acorn-shaped object the size of a Volkswagen Beetle with hieroglyphics on it.)
• The Kecksburg UFO sighting has become part of local lore, but Gatty says, “It’s not going away. Whether you believe or don’t believe in this stuff, the fact remains there is a lot happening for some reason.” Reports of unexplained aerial phenomena are getting serious attention from Congress, the U.S. military and longtime UFO watchers. “Congress apparently is taking this stuff… seriously,” says Gatty.
• UFO researcher Stan Gordon, 69, has spent the past 54 years investigating the Kecksburg incident. Gordon says that there has been a recent “surge” in sightings of unexplained phenomena in Western Pennsylvania. Says Gordon, “We’ve had a surge of UFO and Bigfoot activity in the area in the last couple of weeks. Many of these sightings are very detailed reports… from credible people that you cannot easily dismiss.” Most end up in the growing repository of unexplained phenomena, with no conclusive explanation.
• Gordon continues to report UFO sightings in Pennsylvania on his website, StanGordon.info. Pennsylvania is ranked seventh in total UFO sightings in the U.S., with 3,937 UFOs reported since 1947. There have been 84 sightings so far in 2019, which already matches the total for 2018. The most recent was a sighting over Greensburg on July 5th of a red/orange round object moving across the sky at night, lasting about six minutes.
• On July 4th, an orange-red sphere was spotted at night in both Erie and Cecil, in Washington County. On June 28th, a shiny silver saucer was seen over Mt. Lebanon. After about 15 minutes, it disappeared. On June 23rd, an Elizabeth resident reported seeing five amber-colored, circular shapes move in all directions in the sky, and then form an arrowhead shape before disappearing after about 4 minutes.
• Peter Davenport, director for the National UFO Reporting Center, has been collecting UFO data for 25 years. In 2004, Davenport presented a paper to the Mutual UFO Network on the use of “passive radar” for detecting UFOs in the near-earth environment. This was acknowledged by the CIA and the FBI. Davenport says that the US government has known about the UFO phenomenon for a long time. Solving the mystery of UFOs will require “a government that still serves the people”.
• UFO sightings by Navy fighter pilots have reached the highest echelons of the US government, according to the ‘To the Stars Academy of Arts & Science’. Former Pentagon intelligence official Christopher Mellon, an adviser to the Academy, wrote in the Washington Post in 2018 that the existence of UFOs is no longer in question. What is lacking is a commitment from the Defense Department to investigate the growing body of evidence from the military. Said Mellon, “It is time to set aside taboos regarding ‘UFOs’ and instead listen to our pilots and radar operators.”

Gatty, who originally reported on the Kecksburg incident for the Tribune-Review in 1965, recently noted on his blog NotFakeNews.biz that the Navy has issued new guidelines to fighter pilots regarding UFO sightings, and members of Congress are seeking more frequent briefings on the subject.
“Congress apparently is taking this stuff — at least the Navy reports — seriously,” said Gatty, 76, a former Sykesville, Jefferson County, resident who lives in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Meanwhile, longtime local UFO researcher Stan Gordon said there has been a “surge” in sightings of unexplained phenomena in Western Pennsylvania — whether extraterrestrial or not.

“We keep getting reports of very strange things that people see around here,” said Gordon, 69, of Greensburg. “We’ve had a surge of UFO and Bigfoot activity in the area in the last couple of weeks. Many of these sightings are very detailed reports.”
While sightings usually spike in the spring and summer, when people are outside more, reports in 2018 and 2019 have been more consistently year-round, he said. Sightings are mostly of unexplained things in the sky or of earthbound cryptids — animals such as Bigfoot, whose existence is unsubstantiated.

• On the night of January 23rd, 1974 at about 8:30 pm, people near the Berwyn Mountains in North Wales, UK (pictured above), reported hearing a huge bang with earth tremors and claims of brilliant lights in the sky above the mountain range. Explanations have ranged from a series of coincidences including an earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale whose epicentre was Bala Lake, along with a meteor shower and poachers with lamps, to a UFO crashing on the mountain side with an alien craft taken away by the military.
• UFO researcher Russ Kellett believes that the British military conducted a mission that night to flush out extraterrestrial craft operating from an undersea base in that region, and that the military captured one of those alien vessels. Kellett claims his research shows that one may have been shot down near Betws-y-Coed. Another came down near Llandrillo on the outskirts of the Berywn Mountains. And a third one landed in Bala Lake, before taking off again.
• To back up his claim, Kellett received a letter from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency confirming that a British military exercise had taken place at Jerby Range on the Isle of Man on the night of the ‘Berwyn Mountains Incident’. According to the letter, the exercise was code-named “Operation Photoflash”, comprising “at least 10 aircraft taking part and at least 80 flashes around the Liverpool Bay area and the North Wales coastline.”
• Kellett has obtained a digital copy of the logbook from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency that has listed an ‘Operation Photoflash’ on that date, further verifying the event. Said Kellett, “This document shows that Operation Photoflash was real and I believe from my research that UFOs were flushed out of the sea off the North Wales coast in a military operation.”
• In 2010, retired nurse Pat Evans related that she saw something strange on the mountainside that evening in 1974, after hearing a large bang. Thinking it was a plane crash, she went to see if she could help. When she got there, she saw a large craft that glowed orange, red and yellow and was “moon-like, but without windows or doors.” Said nurse Evans, “[The craft] couldn’t have got there any other way apart from being flown there, so it had to be a UFO of some sort. I’m talking about something that could only have got there by flying and landing.” Added Evans, “I’ve never seen anything like it before or since. I have no idea what it was.”
• Skeptics maintain it all was just a meteor shower and an earthquake occurring at the same time, or perhaps a meteor exploding and showering red hot fragments over the Berwyns.

Self-styled UFO researcher Russ Kellett has always believed an alien vessel came down that night and was taken away as one of a number flushed out of the sea off North Wales in a major military operation.

But a letter Mr Kellett received from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) appears to confirm a military operation, codenamed Photoflash, was scheduled for that night.
The MCA headed letter said: “During the late afternoon and early evening of 23rd January 1974 there was an exercise from Jerby Range on the Isle of Man.
“The exercise was called ‘Photoflash’ and coastguards were advised to expect at least 10 aircraft taking part and at least 80 flashes around the Liverpool Bay area and the North Wales coastline.”
However Mr Kellett came in for criticism about the letter and its veracity.
Now he has received a digital copy of the coastguard station’s logbook, from the MCA for that day, which clearly shows “Operation Photoflash” was a real event and appears on the log.

• There have long been reports of UFOs buzzing above Hampton Roads. Located in Southeastern Virginia, Hampton Roads, which includes Norfolk and Virginia Beach, is home to several military installations and NASA facilities. Reports of UFOs in the region can be traced back to 1813, when a Portsmouth tavern owner claimed to have watched “a ball of fire” weave over Norfolk County. He wrote about the incident to Thomas Jefferson.
• Jimmi Bonavita was a Virginia Beach police officer in the summer of 1975. He was sitting in his patrol car about 2 am when he saw five crescent-shaped “semi-translucent” globes coming over the horizon several miles out at treetop level. The five objects were traveling in formation, moving up and down as if bouncing. Then four Navy fighter jets armed with missiles flew by, apparently chasing the UFOs. Bonavita followed them, driving north toward the Oceanfront tourist area (pictured above). He saw the objects reach the beach and disappear over the Atlantic Ocean, outdistancing the Navy fighter jets. Says the now retired Bonavita, “I know that what I saw was real. It wasn’t an illusion.”
• On July 14th, 1952, flight officers William Nash and William Fortenberry were alone in the cockpit of their Pan American Airways Douglas DC-4, en route from New York to Miami. As they cruised over the southern end of the Chesapeake Bay, they spotted six glowing discs, each about 100 feet wide. Two more UFOs joined the formation over the Newport News peninsula, then entered a steep climb and disappeared into space. Nash told the AP, “There is no doubt in our minds that we saw missiles of some kind operating under intelligent control.” Days later, three Norfolk residents confirmed seeing the UFOs that day. Air Force officials at Langley AFB on the peninsula said that the pilots had seen rockets or tracers being fired at a nearby bombing range.
• More local sightings soon followed in July of 1952, making national news. A Hampton couple told the Daily Press newspaper that they had seen eight yellow-orange lights near the Chesapeake Bay coastline. A commercial airline pilot said he saw two pulsating white lights. Finally, radar at the National Airport picked up a formation of UFO’s over the nation’s capital and scrambled Air Force fighter jets in the infamous Washington, DC sighting.
• In 1957, it was reported in a Pilot newspaper article that an “experienced Ground Observer Corps member” at Langley Field in Newport News saw a “flattened-oval object” hovering in the sky. After watching it for about ten seconds, the object disappeared.
• In 1958, a Pilot newspaper reporter at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront saw a long silvery cylindrical object hovering stationary in the sky for several minutes. It then slowly began to move south toward North Carolina, emitting a stream of white exhaust. The reporter described it as “no known plane or missile”.
• During the 1960’s 70’s and 80’s, folks in Hampton Roads reported waves of UFO sightings. A 15-year-old boy fired two shotgun blasts at a UFO he saw in Poquoson (on the peninsula). In 1983, an Alexandria, Virginia man sued the Air Force, claiming the Langley base in Hampton was hiding “long-dead creatures from outer space packed in ice.”
• In 1965, a sheriff in Western Virginia became alarmed by the number of citizens carrying arms, and asked whether they had the “right to mow the (UFOs) down? ” The Virginia Attorney General ruled that there was no law against shooting “little green men’ from outer space”.
• While UFO sightings have been routinely dismissed, that changed in the spring of 2019 when several Navy pilots in the “Red Rippers” fighter squadron at Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach reported routinely seeing UFOs from Virginia to Florida for several years, starting around 2014. They told the New York Times that the objects flew up to 30,000 feet in the air at hypersonic speeds, had no exhaust plumes, and moved in ways impossible for humans, with sudden stops and turns. One UFO was described as “a sphere encasing a cube.” (see Navy video of UFO flying off of the Virginia coast in 2015 below)
• Navy spokesman Joseph Gradisher told The Virginian Pilot newspaper, “For quite some time, and especially within the past few years, there’s been an increase of observed incursions into our training areas, especially off of the Virginia capes” down to Florida. These sightings have occurred on a quite frequent basis.” In a policy reversal, Navy officials have gone down to the Oceana Master Jet Base to encourage pilots to report new sightings as soon as they happen.
• In 2003, Virginia Beach native, Cameron Pack, was driving when he and a friend saw triangular lights with “no structure, no shape, no outline,” flying low above the treetops. The lights flew straight over their car, then turned and moved away. It made a “God-awful noise,” Pack said. “Not like a jet noise but… like alive, almost. But still in a machine way. … We kind of knew it was something not normal and not from here.”
• Pack sent a Freedom of Information Act request to the city’s police department. In response, he received dozens UFO sighting reports made by local citizens. Between 1976 and 2008, the Virginia Beach Police Department collected detailed UFO reports, passing them along to a central UFO hotline. Among these accounts: November 1995, a caller’s daughter witnessed a circular object with lights on the bottom and making a humming sound, flying very low to the house; May 1988, someone reported a group of lights stopped still in the sky, then shot straight up; One woman reported an object with lights had followed her car from Salisbury, Md., to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel.
• Kelly Herbst is an astronomy curator at the Virginia Living Museum in Newport News, and a UFO skeptic. When she gets calls from people seeing a UFO in the sky, she says that 9 times out of 10 it is the planet Venus. Says Kelly, “Your brain wants to explain these things. By nature, we do pattern recognition. So it’s trying to fit what it sees into its known experience.” According to the American Meteor Society, meteors can move in unusual paths, burn different colors depending on their chemical composition or explode and disappear in a flash of light. Kelly Herbst says that “Just about anything that appears in the sky can end up being misidentified.” Kelly thinks that what Virginia Beach police officer Jimmi Bonavita saw back in 1975 was a meteor. Kelly also blames fast-moving birds, weather balloons, Chinese lanterns, drones, military aircraft, clouds and the aurora borealis for mistaken UFOs.
• Carter Bulger of Virginia Beach is a volunteer field investigator with the Mutual UFO Network, known as MUFON. Over the past three years, he’s been assigned about thirty local UFO cases. Someone from Newport News reported seeing a “small disc shaped object” glide in front of his truck about 60 feet in the air. It “looked transparent, but sunlight reflected off of rippled edges.” Bulger conducts recorded interviews with witnesses. He goes out to the scene and takes photos and videos. He checks weather records and submits public document requests to the Navy and Federal Aviation Administration seeking radar records. For the most part, Bulger has concluded his cases were indeed UFOs.
• [Editor’s Note] I won’t even go into the depth of cognitive dissonance that someone like Kelly Herbst must have to dismiss all UFO sightings across the board with such flimsy and boiler-plate explanations – birds, clouds and the aurora borealis. She basically says that Navy fighter jets were chasing a meteor over Virginia Beach in 1975. But I do find it very interesting that on July 14th, 1952, Pan Am pilots flying south to Miami spotted eight large glowing discs over the Virginia peninsula, with many others on the ground reporting the same. Newspapers across the country reported on the glowing lights seen flying in formation over Washington D.C. from July 12th thru the 29th, 1952 (see ExoArticle here), and insiders such as William Tompkins and Corey Goode have revealed that these were early models of Antarctic Nazi-German electromagnetic/anti-gravity spacecraft buzzing the nation’s capital in order to put pressure on government and military authorities to assent to entering into a secret treaty with the Antarctic Germans, which Eisenhower did soon thereafter. It would make sense that the Antarctic Germans would also buzz the Norfolk Naval Base to demonstrate their technical superiority.
VIRGINIA BEACH
Five crescent-shaped objects were traveling in formation, moving like saucers bouncing off the top of water. Up and down. Up and down.
Jimmi Bonavita, then a Virginia Beach police officer, saw the “semi-translucent” globes coming over the horizon, several miles out at treetop level. He revved up his patrol car.
It was early, around 2 a.m., in midsummer 1975.

Then four Navy fighter jets came buzzing by, seemingly chasing the flying objects. Bonavita followed suit, zooming down the city’s roads to keep up. He wanted to keep them in sight.
The UFOs eventually went toward the Oceanfront and disappeared over the sea, outmaneuvering the pilots, said Bonavita, who’s now retired.
The scene, which could be straight out of a sci-fi movie, stuck with him the rest of his life — including the image of a jet flying right over his car.
“These planes were armed,” Bonavita, now a game warden with the Department of Defense and well-known local expert on snakes and other reptiles, recalled in an interview. “They had Sidewinder missiles. You don’t fly armed jets over a populated area unless it’s national security.”
It was his third and last UFO sighting. “I’ve long since given up what people think of me,” Bonavita said. “I know what I saw. I know that what I saw was real. It wasn’t an illusion. Can I explain it? No. But I’m not going to worry about it.”

The two sisters were sitting on the lawn of Mrs. Wolff’s residence one night last week when they became aware of a saucer zooming overhead.” They said it was the size and shape of a plate, flew lower and slower than an airplane, made no sound, and had a yellow light in the center. The sisters were “emphatic that it could not be anything else but a saucer.”
• A Mrs. G. S. Hart also saw the saucer over Alexandria, Louisiana. Mrs. Hart stated, “It was all lit up. Then it stopped or changed its course and drifted toward the east. Then it moved toward the west and changed its course once more and disappeared in the east.” She said that four people saw it with her.
• On July 11th, 1949 N. L. Martin and his son, Gene, saw two saucer UFOs about 9 a.m. Martin told the Crowley Post-Signal they were “of an aluminum color and kept glinting in the sunlight” and that they “would spin in a clockwise motion and reverse themselves.
• On July 17th, 1949, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Rhino of Alexandria, and two of their neighbors, saw a disc in the northwest sky that was visible for several minutes. It disappeared for about five minutes, and then reappeared before disappearing altogether.
• At the time, the Air Force was getting a dozen flying saucer reports each month. They were “not a cause for alarm,” the Air Force spokesman said. Thirty percent of the reports were due to conventional aerial objects such as weather balloons, which would “probably” account for another thirty percent. But forty percent remained a mystery.
• Adras Laborde, who would become the managing editor of the Alexandria Town Talk newspaper, planned a convention in 1949 to feature the saucer sighters in his town. But it failed to attract enough people and was canceled. There were no new sightings in central Louisiana for the rest of the year.
The flying saucer that sped over the front yard made a visit to her sister’s house especially memorable for a Ville Platte lady in the summer of 1949 — and they were not the only ones to report the strange sighting.
There had been so many that summer and in the summer before that Adras Laborde, who later became managing editor of the Alexandria Town Talk, planned a convention of saucer sighters in his town.

• During the 1980 Christmas party at the twin Royal Air Force bases, RAF Bentwaters and RAF Woodbridge, in Suffolk, England, US Air Force servicemen stationed at the base were sent out to investigate strange goings on in the nearby Rendlesham Forest. The American witnesses have since maintained stories of encountering a strange craft in the woods.
• Nick Pope, the UFO desk officer for Britain’s Ministry of Defence between 1991 and 1994, said, “The Rendlesham Forest incident is the most compelling of the approximately 12,000 UFO cases investigated during the lifetime of the MoD’s UFO project, and it remains unexplained to this day.” It has since been nicknamed the ‘UK’s Roswell’.
• Retired US Air Force Sergeant Michael Stacy Smith served in the 81st Airborne Police Squadron at the twin RAF bases in 1980. Smith was 19 years old at the time, and has never spoken publicly about his alien encounter until now. Speaking to website The Analysis, Sgt. Smith spoke of a number of incidents which took place in Suffolk only weeks before the well-known incident in late December of 1980.

• “It was an orange – reddish glowing ball. Bigger than a beach ball, and it had a cats eye in it,” says Smith. “I thought what the hell is that? At first I thought it was someone with a lantern walking through the woods, looking at our planes. It stopped right in front of me. It just stayed there and hovered two feet off the ground.” Smith called for reinforcements who couldn’t believe what they saw. Then the object disappeared. “I was scared to death,” said Smith.
• In a separate incident Sgt. Smith recalled seeing strange shapes in the vicinity of RAF Bentwaters. “You could see coming from the south of Bentwaters… was a triangular shaped craft. It was blueish in the middle and had white around the edges of it. It was just above the tree line of Rendlesham Forest.” “I don’t care what anyone says, it was real.”
• Nick Pope agrees that “These new revelations are fascinating, though difficult to evaluate, especially given that nearly 40 years have passed since these events.” “As this new interview shows, whatever these military witnesses experienced was truly bizarre and had deep and lasting effects – both physical and emotional – on some of the individuals concerned.”
A new account of alien encounters in Rendlesham has been made public for the first time.

• Tony Buckingham of Littleport Cambridgeshire England, has spent forty years researching UFO activity in the East Anglia, and has created a community of UFO enthusiasts who claim to have had out of this world experiences.
• In the winter of 1974, at age 20, Buckingham was alone at his family’s house watching tv when he went outside to add some coal to the boiler. Suddenly everything became muffled and quiet. Says Buckingham, “I felt static electricity all over me. I stood up to clear my ears but as I stood up there was this object level with my eyes. It was massive. It wasn’t a typical flying saucer but a cone shape. It seemed to be there for ages but it was probably a few seconds.” “I had this over-riding sense of well-being, a calming, almost loving sensation.” Before Buckingham could grab his camera, the object shot straight up in the air and disappeared.
• Buckingham says that as a young man, he was into “motorcycles, rock-n-roll and girls”. But after this UFO sighting, he began searching for what few books on UFOs that he could find. Shortly thereafter, Erich von Daniken’s book, Chariots of the Gods, was released. This changed Buckingham’s thought patterns for the rest of his life. He found other books on UFOs and searched for UFO support groups. Back then, UFO groups could be found in nearly every town. Today they have dwindled to about six groups in the entire country.
• In 2016, Buckingham created a Facebook discussion group, and began holding monthly meetings across East Anglia, presenting documentary films and guest speakers. He also organizes field trips to places of interest.
• Earlier this year, two women from Downham Market, Norfolk shared an encounter. Said Buckingham: “One of the girls got up in the night to get a glass of water and looking out of the window there were three lights. They came [inside] and went around the room making her feel strange. She called for her friend when a white light came on searching the room.” Then, “The lights went back out of the window and flew off. They turned the lights on and noticed an hour of time had gone. One of them had blood on her feet but there were no markings and most of the electrical items in the house stopped working.”
• “I am fanatical about this,” adds Buckingham. “I spend all day everyday researching. When you dig really deep and get to the real stuff you see declassified documents and what thousands of high ranking people have spoken about all telling you the same thing. Aliens are real and they are here. I strongly believe that there are many groups of aliens here already.”

And while many remain sceptical over the prospect of Earth being visited by extraterrestrial life, Tony Buckingham, from Littleport, near the Norfolk/Cambridgeshire border, has spent the last 40 years researching UFO activity in the East. He has even created a community of believers who claim to have had out of this world experiences.

Mr Buckingham, a retired business owner, said: “My first conscious experience was in 1974. It was the winter and I lived about three miles away on the other side of the village.
“I had been instructed to look after the house as my mother, father and brother and sister had gone out. I was watching TV and forgot to top up the boiler, suddenly I remembered and ran out to the garden. I was bending down to get some coal when everything went quiet, like when you are landing in an aircraft, my hearing became muffled.
“I felt static electricity all over me. I stood up to clear my ears but as I stood up there was this object level with my eyes. It was massive.
“It wasn’t a typical flying saucer but a cone shape. It seemed to be there for ages but it was probably a few seconds.
“I had this over-riding sense of well-being, a calming, almost loving sensation. I thought about getting my camera but before I had made the decision this thing shot straight up in the air at a speed that aircraft could not do then.”

• In preparation for an attack from space, on July 25th and 26th the Indian Army conducted a military drill dubbed ‘IndSpaceEx’ to assess the ‘imminent threats’ India will meet should any armed conflict escalate beyond earth, and to identify key challenges and shortfalls if a conflict escalates to the space dimension. An unnamed Indian official also told the Times of India newspaper that India’s Institute of Technology will also work on ‘space war’ preparations.
• An unnamed Indian military official stated that one of the reasons for the drill is India’s aspiration to counter China’s superiority as a space power. “We cannot keep twiddling our thumbs while China zooms ahead. We cannot match China but must have capabilities to protect our space assets,” the official was cited as saying.
• In March 2019, India successfully tested its anti-satellite (A-Sat) interceptor missile to shoot down a Microsat-R satellite in low Earth orbit. That achievement prompted Prime Minister Narendra Modi to proclaim his nation a fourth “space superpower” after the US, Russia, and China.
• On July 22nd, India launched its Chandrayaan-2 orbiter and lunar module which is set to land on the Moon’s South Pole in weeks to come. That success was in fact met with praise by space rival China, announcing that China wants to team up with its Indian counterpart to explore the Moon. China’s own lunar mission, the Chang’e-4, successfully landed in the South Pole-Aitken basin in January 2019, and is currently exploring the Moon’s geology and performing biological experiments.
If any UFOs – or adversaries within Earth’s orbit – start behaving badly, India wants to be ready, as it prepares to take war drills literally to a new level… space.
The Indian Army has been ordered to prepare for any enemy, even one that can come from space. The ambitious two-day drill dubbed IndSpaceEx is set to assess the ‘imminent threats’ India will meet should any armed conflict escalate beyond earth.
The country’s first simulated space warfare exercise is starting on Thursday. But the drill was first mentioned back in March, when the country successfully tested its anti-satellite (A-Sat) interceptor missile to shoot down a Microsat-R satellite in low Earth orbit. That achievement prompted Prime Minister Narendra Modi to proclaim his nation a fourth “space superpower” after the US, Russia, and China.
“Modi said the A-Sat test in March was conducted to make India stronger and more secure, as well as further peace and harmony. A mysterious video uploaded on YouTube by popular conspiracy theory channel ‘UFO Mania’ is now the hottest debating point among alien enthusiasts. Originally shot by a car driver from Hawaii, the rectangular UFO appeared in one among the many random clicks taken by the witness. Upon closer analysis, we can also see lights in the seemingly metallic body of the UFO.
“The object was in only one frame, nothing before or after. unknown altitude but as you can see it was above the cloud line,” said the man who captured the video.
After watching the video, viewers of UFO Mania also shared their thoughts to explain this bizarre sighting.
“Awesome picture!! By the dimension’s I would say it was alien!! Doesn’t look like it would be practical for humans by the size of it,” commented Curtis Hill, a YouTube user.
“My guess is it either cloaked out or performed a dimensional jump. These crafts are being seen more often now, it’s like they’re not worried about hiding, I believe something major may happen soon,” commented John Nightshade, another YouTuber.

• In a report published in the journal Acta Astronautica, researchers from the University of Cadiz in Spain say that aliens could be all around us, but may exist in ways we cannot even fathom. We simply don’t know how to detect them. One of the report’s co-authors, Gabriel G. De la Torre, says, “Our traditional conception of space is limited by our brain, and we may… be unable to see them.”
• The Spanish research team used a classic psychological experiment that demonstrates “inattention blindness” as a possible explanation for our inability to see what we aren’t looking for. They point to a video of a social experiment by Daniel J. Simons and Christopher Chabris in 1999 where they asked participants to watch the video and keep a silent count of the number of passes of a basketball made by the people in white shirts. A person in a gorilla suit walks through the video frame for nine seconds, faces the camera, thumps his chest, then leaves. Only half of the people who watched the video in the original experiment saw the gorilla. (see 1:21 minute video below)
• The “Invisible Gorilla” experiment revealed that human perception isn’t foolproof. Most people miss a lot of what’s going on around them as they try to filter and process the incredible amounts of perceptual information being fed to their brains. Said De la Torre, “It is very striking, but very significant and representative of how our brain works.”
• De la Torre and co-author Manuel A. Garcia conducted a similar experiment. They asked 137 adults to look at aerial photographs and determine whether they featured artificial structures, like roads and buildings, or natural elements, like mountains and rivers. In one photo, De la Torre and Garcia inserted an image of a person in a gorilla suit. Only 45 out of the 137 participants noticed the gorilla in the aerial photograph. De la Torre says that the more “intuitive individuals identified the gorilla in our photo more often than those (who are) more rational and methodical.”
• According to De la Torre and Garcia, the result of the experiments show that just as people may not see the gorilla in the image, aliens could very well exist in a way that humans are not oriented to perceive or understand. “[W]e tend to see them from our perceptive.” Says De la Torre, “What we are trying to do with this differentiation is to contemplate other possibilities – for example, beings of dimensions that our minds cannot grasp; or intelligences based on dark matter or energy, which make up almost 95 percent of the universe and which we are only beginning to glimpse. There is even the possibility that other universes exist, as the texts of Stephen Hawking and other scientists indicate.”
• De la Torre and Garcia suggest that focusing too much on certain methods, like SETI‘s search for radio signals, is limiting our ability to discover the “cosmic gorilla” that is non terrestrial life. Solely searching for civilizations populating other planets or solar systems may limit our ability to conceive of and potentially locate inter-dimensional capable civilizations, the research team suggests. Expanding our search methods may bring us closer to the truth.
• In other words, De la Torre and Garcia think we need to first check our egos and account for the limitations of human biology and psychology before we can expect to comprehend advanced extraterrestrial or non-terrestrial life.

• On July 13th, 2019, a family in the ‘Villa Chigi’ area of Rome, Italy watched a luminous object from their home’s window, and got it on video. (see 1:59 minute video below) The video shows a bright orb rising into the sky. (It then stops, hovers, flashes in brightness and winks out.)

• Several UFO hunters are convinced this is a sign of alien activity, or even an alien abduction in Italy. One YouTuber commented: “It is a plasma drone. It’s got to be alien technology or something else, just understand that they are taking pictures of our landscape and maybe compared them to the old times.”
• Diehard skeptic, Michael Bryant, thought it was a kite. Stuart Walker thought it was a fake video. Says Walker, “Anybody who has been to Rome… will know how heavily populated it is, and everybody would have seen it.”

• Many scientists looking for potentially habitable planets focus on its rocky composition, distance from its star so liquid water can exist, and the existence of an atmosphere. These are the requirements for life on Earth to exist—so it may also be true of other planets as well. But the Chinese space agency will instead focus on magnetic fields.
• The Chinese Academy of Sciences reported in the journal Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics its plan to look for habitable exoplanets within 100 light years from Earth by their magnetic fields. FAST chief scientist Li Di said if they can confirm the presence of a magnetic field around an exoplanet, they would be able to study it to find out whether it was habitable or not. “It would be a very important discovery,” Li Di said.
• In searching for magnetic fields around exoplanets, the interaction of the solar wind with the magnetosphere should generate radio radiation. Says Li Di, “All the planets with magnetic fields in our solar system can be found generating such radiation, which can be measured and studied by radio telescopes.” Magnetic fields cannot be detected by traditional optical and infrared astronomical observation.
• The Earth’s magnetic field protects our planet from solar wind – a stream of charged particles emanating from the Sun that would otherwise strip away our atmosphere. The FAST team believes it is reasonable to think the same may be true for distant worlds.
• Li Di notes that if the Earth stopped rotating, its magnetic field would disappear. In such a case, “…the Earth’s atmosphere would be blown off by the solar wind. As a result, humans and most living things would be exposed to the harsh cosmic environment… unable to survive.”
China has unveiled its latest plans for the world’s biggest radio telescope—to look for habitable planets beyond our solar system by finding out if they have a magnetic field.
Published in the journal Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics, the team behind the five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope (FAST) has announced its ambitions for the next decade—including the hunt for exoplanets.
FAST, as the name suggests, is a 1,600 feet wide telescope. It sits in the Dawodang depression of the Guizhou Province and it achieved its first light in September 2016.
One of the main scientific missions of FAST is to listen out for pulsars and other interstellar radio signals—including any coming from hypothetical extraterrestrials. “In theory, if there is civilization in outer space, the radio signal it sends will be similar to the signal we can receive when a pulsar (spinning neutron star) is approaching us,” Qian Lei, from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, told CCTV in 2016.
