• The most comprehensive search for alien life to date has found we’re alone in the universe. For three years, the Breakthrough Listen project has searched 1,327 stars within an area covering 160 light years of Earth for signs of intelligent life. But the University of Berkeley researchers compare it to “searching for a needle in a haystack.” They came up with nothing.
• The Berkeley researchers used the Green Bank telescope in West Virginia and Australia’s Parkes telescope to find ‘technosignatures’ (i.e.: evidence of technologies) from other planets, while sifting through the plethora or signals coming from human technology on Earth.
• Tens of millions of signals were discarded through filtering techniques, and the team was then left with a handful of potential signatures that fit the bill. Researchers said that, “The few remaining technosignature candidates were carefully examined, and determined to be outlying examples of human-generated radio frequency interference that survived the two cuts.”
• But the team isn’t giving up hope of finding life out in the universe, says Breakthrough Listen Project scientist Dr. Danny Price. “We found no evidence of artificial signals from beyond Earth, but this doesn’t mean there isn’t intelligent life out there. We may just not have looked in the right place yet, or peered deep enough to detect faint signals.”

“[Technosignatures are] evidence of technology (such as transmitters or propulsion devices) built by civilisations beyond Earth,” researchers said.
The first technique used looked for ‘narrow’ signatures that were too well-defined to come from natural sources.
A filter then removed signals that came from fixed points in the sky.
Researchers then compared scans of the area surrounding the star being targeted and removed signals not coming from that direction.

• For years many have claimed to have seen alien spacecraft hovering above Earth, crop circles, and even evidence of alien species around us. Some scientists also believe that there are truly UFOs around us. But, scientifically speaking, this doesn’t necessarily mean that alien life exists.

• Apparently, major educational institutions have accepted the possible existence of UFOs, but they do not confirm the existence of aliens. Perhaps more such institutions should take alien studies more seriously.
• Outside of academia, the existence of aliens and the study of UFO’s has received some serious media recognition. In 2017, the New York Times revealed the US Defense Department’s ‘Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program’ which studied UFOs and alien technology. It also released military video of UFOs.
Considering how vast the universe is, it would seem like a great waste of space if we discovered that we are the only living species in the whole cosmos. This is most likely why part of man’s space explorations include the search for life on other planets.
For years, however, some witnesses have claimed that there is evidence of alien species around us. In fact, many have claimed to have seen numerous sightings of unidentified flying objects (UFO) hovering above Earth as evidenced by mysterious formations such as crop circles. These are believed to be alien spacecraft manned by creatures not from around here.
But here’s the clincher: some scientists believe that there are truly UFOs around us. But this doesn’t necessarily mean that alien life exists.

• Scientists searching for habitable alien worlds usually focus on the ‘habitable zone’, where the region of space is neither too cold nor too warm for life to exist. Star gazers at the University of California Riverside believe that scientists have failed to take into account a build-up of toxic gasses within a planet’s atmosphere which would not allow complex life to evolve.
• For example, any planet on the coldest outer edge of the habitable zone with liquid on the surface would require carbon dioxide at levels thousands of times that of Earth’s to maintain liquid and not have it freeze, according to Edward Schwieterman, lead author of a study published in The Astrophysical Journal. “That’s far beyond the levels known to be toxic to human and animal life on Earth,” said Schwieterman.
• Another inhospitable example is intense ultraviolet radiation as from the Earth’s two closest alien stars – Proxima Centauri and TRAPPIST-1, which would batter any planets within their habitable zones, leading to a build up of poisonous carbon monoxide.
• “This is the first time the physiological limits of life on Earth have been considered to predict the distribution of complex life elsewhere in the universe,” says Timothy Lyons, one of the study’s co-authors and a professor of biogeochemistry in UCR’s Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, and director of the Alternative Earths Astrobiology Center.
• “As far as we know, Earth is the only planet in the universe that can sustain human life,” concludes Schwieterman.
• [Editor’s Note] I’m sure that there are alien civilizations out there who consider this planet to be blanketed in a “poisonous” gas – oxygen. How can educated ‘experts’ make such ludicrous statements as “Earth is the only planet in the universe that can sustain human life”? Human-type beings exist throughout not only the universe, but throughout the galaxy and our own star system of 52 stars. This is just more disinformation calculated to make the public falsely believe that there is no alien presence on our world, or even close by. Scientists’ search for aliens has become more focused on a smaller number of planets after making a discovery about the composition of most planets’ atmospheres. Typically, alien hunting experts have been analysing planets which are in the habitable zone of their host star – an region in space where it is neither too cold nor too warm for life to exist.
However, experts from the University of California Riverside (UCR) believe other scientists have failed to take into account a build up of toxic gasses within a planet’s atmosphere which would not allow complex life to evolve.
For example, by using computer models the researchers found that any planet on the outer edge of the habitable zone with liquid on the surface would require carbon dioxide – a greenhouse gas – levels thousands of times that of Earth’s to maintain liquid and not have it freeze.
Edward Schwieterman, lead author of the study published in The Astrophysical Journal, and a NASA Postdoctoral Program, said: “To sustain liquid water at the outer edge of the conventional habitable zone, a planet would need tens of thousands of times more carbon dioxide than Earth has today.
“That’s far beyond the levels known to be toxic to human and animal life on Earth.”

There are several important conclusions from Admiral Thomas Wilson’s failed efforts to learn about and gain access to a classified UFO program that involved a clandestine corporate effort to reverse engineering a retrieved extraterrestrial spacecraft as described in the leaked 15 page document received by Canadian UFO research Grant Cameron in November 2018, and uploaded to the internet on April 19, 2019.
First, Wilson’s failure to gain access to the classified UFO program described in parts one & two of this series confirms one of Dr. Steven Greer’s major contentions that senior military officials are out of the loop when it comes to UFOs, despite the obvious national security implications they carry. The “bigot list” mentioned by Wilson in his conversation with Dr. Eric Davis about who was granted “need to know” access to the program, was dominated by corporate employees, with only a few Pentagon officials being briefed, and no one from the Executive and Legislative branches of government.
This is very surprising given the clear national security implications about UFOs due to the advanced technologies they possess, and the possibility that these could be or had been weaponized by foreign nations. A few years later this was the rationale for the creation of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) in 2007 with Congressional funding of $22 milliion. Significantly, some of the principal figures involved in the Wilson UFO briefing, e.g., Dr. Eric Davis, were also involved in the AATIP program.
A second conclusion is that corporations have been given an inordinate amount of power when it comes to deciding who gains access to the category of unacknowledged/waived SAPs that involved the study of retrieved extraterrestrial technologies. The corporate “watch committee” described in part two, bluntly turned down Wilson’s request for access.
What really surprised Admiral Wilson, however, was that the Pentagon’s Senior Review Group running the Special Access Program Oversight Committee (SAPOC) also turned his request for access down, despite him being DIA Deputy Director, and Vice Director for Intelligence (V-J2) for the Joint Chiefs of Staff. All this is very telling about the power of corporations when it comes to who is really in charge of the research and development of extraterrestrial related technologies.
Another conclusion is that Wilson’s testimony provides powerful support for the existence of a UFO cabal/control group running extraterrestrial related projects in a way that escapes conventional government and military oversight. Leaked documents going back to September 1947 have referred to this control group as Operation Majestic 12/MAJIC 12/MJ-12.
Admiral Wilson’s experiences is telling us that the UFO control group is very real and exercises great power through its ability to restrict “need to know” access to whom it chooses regardless of an official’s constitutionally backed duties and positions. While it has long been known that US presidents and members of Congress were routinely cut out of the loop of such UFO related projects, it is was not known that this was occurring to senior Pentagon officials until the 1997 Wilson briefing.
Fourth, who leaked the 15 page document to UFO researcher Grant Cameron in November 2018? Was it one or more “white hats” wanting the disclosure process to move forward by leaking one of the most important UFO documents ever to publicly emerge as contended by UFO historian Richard Dolan describing it as the “UFO leak of the century”? Alternatively, was the leaking part of a limited hangout promoting Tom DeLonge’s To The Stars Academy through the involvement of figures such as Dr. Eric Davis as contended by Kerry Cassidy from Project Camelot?
Dolan addressed these questions in a blog post (insert video) published on June 15. He pointed out that Cameron’s source for the document is an Australian space/UFO enthusiast, James Rigney. In a Q and A with Dolan, Rigby wrote:
It is unlikely that these documents would ever have found their way to anyone within the UFO community were in not that for the fact that for number of years I was very active in the ‘Space’ community, belonging to an organization in Australia and making frequent trips to the US to attend conferences and other events. Along the way I was fortunate to make acquaintance in the US with several people in the US who knew of my interest in, knowledge of, and credible approach to the UFO/UAP phenomena, as well as my passive and occasional involvement in the UFO community.
The events that lead me to obtaining the documents were strangely the result of this strange and unlikely intersection between the usually incompatible Space & UFO fields….
Over a period of a couple of years, I gained [the] trust of these people to a point where I was invited to look over some documents, copy what I wanted, and get them into the right hands if I thought that was appropriate. Certainly there was no intrigue or ‘smoking gun’ type discussions at the time.
Digby was here confirming that the document’s original source was an individual connected to the US Space community who provided the document to him a few years ago. There is growing speculation that the leaked 15 page document came from the files of the deceased Apollo astronaut Edgar Mitchell. If so, who gave the document to Mitchell? The most likely source is Dr. Davis given his direct role in recording/summarizing the meeting with Admiral Wilson, but as mentioned in part 1, Davis had no comment on the 15 page document when I contacted him by email.
Tracking the ultimate source for the leaked document is very relevant given present circumstances surrounding topics concerning space and UFOs. The fact that the 15 page document was publicly uploaded on April 19 is significant given recent public interest over Navy pilots reporting UFO incidents, and the creation of a Space Force, as a new branch of the US military, which takes me to my last conclusion.
Finally, the three corporate officials in the “watch committee” that denied access to the classified program, claimed that the reverse engineering of the extraterrestrial vehicle was very slow, and little progress had been made over the years. Were they telling the truth or providing a cover story for successfully reverse engineered extraterrestrial technologies, which had been covertly deployed in a corporate run secret space program that was kept away from the prying eyes of the DIA and Joint Chiefs of Staff?
In the US Air Force Secret Space Program, I describe how differently sized and shaped antigravity vehicles were successfully reverse engineered by corporate contractors, including Lockheed Martin’s Skunkworks division, and began to be deployed in the 1970s and 1980s by the USAF. This suggests that there are many Unacknowledged SAPs that involve the research, development, and deployment of antigravity spacecraft by different military services and corporate contractors.
There is no indication in the leaked 15-page document over whether Admiral Wilson was aware of secret space programs runs by the USAF and the US Navy. He merely expressed his surprise that the UFO program that Steven Greer and Edgar Mitchell pointed out to him, which he was unaware of, involved a retrieved extraterrestrial spacecraft.
It’s quite possible that Wilson was aware of military-run space programs but simply had not been briefed about the specific reverse engineering program that was being run by the corporate contractor for unknown purposes, one of which involved a corporate run secret space program.
It’s perhaps not coincidental that the leaked transcript and summary of Admiral Wilson and Dr. Davis 2002 conversation emerges as Space Force is about to be formally launched. The US Congress is poised to pass legislation authorizing the creation of Space Force as a separate branch of the US military under the authority of the Department of the US Air Force.
The emergence of Space Force will ultimately address many of the questions and issues raised by Admiral Wilson’s investigation of the corporate reverse engineering program back in 1997, and the secret construction of antigravity spacecraft by multiple corporate contractors for the US military or other unknown customers.
Space Force will also provide a powerful institutional foundation for disclosing many secrets concerning antigravity technology, alien life, the reverse engineering of extraterrestrial technologies, and secret space programs. The leak of the Wilson Davis conversation comes at a propitious time for the disclosure process to move forward, and Space Force is the most likely institutional catalyst for all to be revealed.
[Cont. from Part 1] In the transcript/summary of a 2002 conversation between Vice Admiral Thomas Wilson and Dr. Eric Davis it was revealed that a crashed extraterrestrial vehicle was being reverse engineered by a major aerospace company. Wilson first learned about the classified UFO program through a National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) document shared with him at a confidential April 10, 1997 meeting with Dr. Steven Greer, Dr. Edgar Mitchell, and Navy Commander Willard Miller.
The recently released transcript describes what Admiral Wilson [TW] told Dr. Davis [EWD] about Wilson’s efforts up to June 1997 to learn the truth about the classified UFO program, and the associated reverse engineering effort revealed to him in the April meeting.
EWD: Okay then, what happened in April-June ’97?
TW: After parting with Miller (week later, he thinks) – I made calls, knocked on a few doors, talked to people – went on for 45 days (thereabouts) on and off
Suggestion came from Ward (Gen. M. Ward) to go through the records groups files (like an index system) in OUSDAT (Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Technology)
Ran into Bill Perry in May ’97 – talked about this quietly – he suggested the same thing
They told me of a special projects record group not belonging to usual SAP – a special subset of the unacknowledged/carve-outs/waived programs – not belonging to usual SAP divisions as organized in ’94 by Perry himself – set apart from rest but buried/covered by conventional SAPs. Wilson was here referring to different categories of Special Access Programs (SAPs), where the most important – unacknowledged/carve-outs/waived – were hidden behind conventional SAPs.
The method of hiding the most highly classified programs behind less classified ones was verified in one of the NSA documents leaked by Edward Snowden called Sentry Eagle. It graphically depicted how Exceptionally Compartmented Information (ECI – an Intelligence Community classification similar to an Unacknowledged SAP used by the Pentagon) would be hidden behind a Non-ECI Program (similar classification status to a conventional SAP)

Wilson went on to describe the aerospace company that ran the classified reverse engineering effort, without naming it:
EWD: Who was the project contractor or USG agency that runs the program?
TW: An aerospace technology contractor – one of the top ones in US
EWD: Who?
TW: Core secret – can’t tell
EWD: Defense contractor?
TW: Yes, the best one of them.
The reference to the “best one of them” firmly points to Lockheed Martin’s Skunkworks division which has a long track record of successfully working on cutting edge aerospace programs. For example, Skunkworks former Director, Ben Rich, was fond of ending lectures by declaring: “We now have the technology to take ET home”.

Wilson then explained what happened when he discovered which company was running the classified UFO program and contacted it to gain access:
EWD: What happened with you found contractor?
TW: I made several calls (end of May ’97), first to Paul, Mike & Perry to confirm I had right contractor and program manager to talk to.
EWD: They confirm?
TW: Yes.
EWD: Then?
TW: (End of May ’97) Made three calls to the program manager – one of them conference call with security director and corporate attorney.
Confusion on their part at to why I was looking for them and what I wanted from them or wanted to know about.
Wilson next explains how he was denied access to the classified UFO program by the three corporate officials (program manager, security director, and attorney):
TW: I told threesome I wanted formal briefing, tour, etc. – was exploiting my regulatory authority as Deputy Director DIA/Assistant Joint Chief of Staff J-2 – Told them my not being briefed was oversight they needed to correct – I demanded!
TW: They needed to discuss this (his demand) so hung up. Got called 2 days later and they said they don’t want to talk on phone and arranged for face-to-face meeting at their facility.
EWD: Did you go?
TW: Yes, ten days later (mid-June or so). Flew out there
Met in their conference room in their secure vault
Wilson describes how the “watch committee” told him about a prior incident years ago where the present security system was set up after an agreement was reached with the Pentagon’s Special Access Programs Oversight Committee (SAPOC), which was overhauled in 1994, very likely due to the incident Wilson was told about. The agreement gave the corporate contractor running certain categories of SAPs the authority to restrict access to UFO related programs from Pentagon officials regardless of their rank and position:
– [TW] Said after that episode a formal agreement was struck with Pentagon people (SAPOC) to prevent this in future – didn’t want a repeat
– Special criteria were established in agreement
A special circumstance that must meet rigorous access criteria set by contractor committee
No USG personnel are to gain access unless they met the criteria – to be administered by contractor committee (program director, attorney, security director) irregardless of the tickets and position USG personnel possess
The “watch committee” told Admiral Wilson that despite him being Deputy Director of the DIA and Vice Director of Intelligence for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, that he was not on the “bigot list” – those with a “need to know” access – who could be briefed about the UFO program:
TW: They said my tickets were all confirmed and valid, but I was not on the bigot list
My tickets alone were not enough
I didn’t meet the special criteria so need to know authorization was not being granted….
TW: Argued more – they wouldn’t accept my arguments that they fell under my statutory oversight and regulatory authority as Deputy Director DIA – under purview for my right to have need to know (oversight, audit, justification issues, etc., etc.)
Regulatory and statutory authority as Deputy Director DIA not relevant or pertinent to nature of their program!
Then they pulled out their bigot list to convince me otherwise – several pages long – dated 1990, updated 1993. [Transcript/Summary, pp. 11-12]
The transcription goes on to cover Wilson and Davis’ conversation about names on the bigot list, and who in the Pentagon and White House was allowed access:
EWD: Who was on it? Recognize names?
TW: That is core secret.
Willing to say that most were program employees – names and titles (job titles) – civilians – didn’t recognize any military personnel – could be there.
EWD: Any politicians?
TW: No
No White House names, no President!
No Congressional people
No Congressional staffers
EDW: Any in Clinton or Bush Sr. Administrations?
TW: No! But handful of names were Pentagon individuals I recognized – few from OUSDAT, one from another department, another at the NSC who is Pentagon SES employee. [Transcript/Summary, p. 12]
Stunningly, Wilson learned that no members of the Legislative (Congress) or Executive (White House) branches of government were briefed about the corporate UFO program. Only a few Pentagon officials were given access. This corroborates what Greer and others have been claiming for decades over the unconstitutional nature of the secrecy system developed for the UFO issue.
Next, the transcript elaborates on how Wilson tried to gain access by identifying the type of program that was underway attempting to link it to his official field of responsibility as Deputy Director DIA:
Finally, Wilson was told that the UFO program was a reverse engineering program of a recovered extraterrestrial vehicle, exactly what Greer, Mitchell, and Miller, had told him at the April 10, 1997 meeting. Importantly, Wilson expressed his surprise thinking that the UFO term was merely a cover for acquired foreign aerospace technology built by the USSR or China:

TW: There were a reverse engineering program –
Something recovered years ago in the past
Technological hardware was recovered
So I thought they meant recovered Soviet/Chinese, etc. hardware and reverse engineer it – like a missile or intel platform or aircraft – actually came to meeting expecting to find a sensitive foreign collection and reverse engineering operation – thought “UFOs” used as a cover for that –
So I said that and they said they weren’t that either
They had (program manager talking) a craft – an intact craft they believed could fly …
Program manager said they didn’t know where it was from [they had some ideas on this] – it was technology that was not of this Earth – not made by man – not by human hands [Transcript/Summary, pp. 12-13]
Wilson next described that he was told the corporation had encountered great difficulty in its reverse engineering efforts:
[TW] Said they were trying to understand and exploit technology: their program was going on for years and years with very slow progress
Agonizingly slow with little or no success – painful lack of collaboration to get help from outside community of experts and facilities to assist effort – must remain isolated and use own facilities and cleared personnel – tough environment to work – about 400-800 (bigot list count) workers varying in number funding or personnel changes. When Wilson threatened to go to the Special Access Program Oversight Committee (SAPOC) he was told to go ahead by the corporate “watch committee” and was eventually denied access by the Senior Review Group running SAPOC Pentagon committee set up to oversee Special Access Programs:
TW: Before last week of June (’97)
They told me (TW) that they were sustaining the contractor, that I was to immediately drop the matter and let it go – forget about it as I did not have purview over their project, it didn’t fall within my oversight, etc.
I became very angry – started yelling when should have kept my mouth shut…
… Senior Review Group chairman said if I didn’t follower their suggestion that I would not see Director DIA promotion, get early retirement, lose 1 or 2 stars along the way

The refusal to grant access was the critical moment that Wilson realized that the corporation was being supported by a powerful group linked to the Pentagon to hide the corporation’s reverse engineering of an extraterrestrial spacecraft, as an Unacknowledged/waived SAP, hidden within the labyrinth of conventional SAPs conducted by the Pentagon and its corporate contractors.
The refusal was ultimately why Wilson believed that a UFO cabal/ MJ-12 was in charge of UFO related projects, and even senior officials at the DIA and the Joint Chiefs of Staff were out of the loop. This is what he told Commander Miller back in June 1997, who in turn relayed Wilson’s conclusions to Steven Greer and Edgar Mitchell who respectively revealed more details over the next two decades.
• Seth Shostak (pictured above) is the senior astronomer at the SETI Institute (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) in Mountain View, California. His job is to listen for signals from intelligent extraterrestrial sources in space.
• Shostak contends that, even though US Navy pilots have come forward to describe witnessing UFOs reaching hypersonic speeds without any detectable exhaust plumes, suggesting super-advanced propulsion technology, Defense Department officials aren’t invoking intelligent aliens as an explanation, and neither is Shostak. ‘UFOs are very real, as we have recently seen – but that doesn’t mean ET has been violating our airspace,” said Shostak.
• US Navy pilots and the DoD have provided video evidence of fast moving UFOs off of the coast of San Diego in 2004 (i.e.: the “Tic Tac UFO”) and more recently off of the Virginia and Florida coasts. In one case, a UFO nearly collided with a Navy jet off the Virginia coast. The Pentagon’s ‘Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program’ (AATIP) has studied these incidents, and others (including UFO propulsion technology) since at least 2007. Such incidents have become so common that the Navy has enacted a new policy for reporting UFOs.
• Shostak argues against jumping to the ET conclusion, however. And he offers several “common sense” reasons why: First, these Navy sightings are all off of the coast of the continental US. Isn’t this exactly where you might expect to find advanced Russian reconnaissance craft?
• Second, the Navy pilots’ radar equipment had been upgraded. “[W]henever you upgrade any technical product, there are always problems,” says Shostak. Therefore, the sightings might stem from some sort of software bug or instrument issue.
• Third, it is ridiculous to imagine that alien spacecraft would cross vast gulfs of space and time to come here, and then to not offer their assistance, or pilfer our natural resources, or even show themselves. “[T]hey never do anything,” Shostak said. | • But Shostak is quick not to dismiss the existence of extraterrestrials altogether. He points out that at least 20% percent of the galaxy’s 200 billion stars could harbor habitable worlds. So intelligent aliens could be out there somewhere, or were out there sometime during the Milky Way’s 13-billion-year history. But the odds are long that any UFO witnessed to date was an extraterrestrial craft.
• [Editor’s Note] Seth Shostak’s livelihood is searching for ET intelligence among the 200 billion stars in the galaxy. As the Senior Astronomer and former Director for the SETI Institute, he has become something of a celebrity. The last thing he wants is to discover that ET beings already pervade our reality: around and within this planet, on/within our Moon, on/within Mars, and throughout the solar system. Has Shostak and SETI been duped just like the rest of us? Have SETI’s efforts been futile for decades, and now rendered obsolete? Or was SETI just another Deep State psyop that existed to appease and assure the public that so-called “experts” were on the look out for aliens, while their puppet masters continued to hide the true extraterrestrial presence? If so, that would explain why Shostak insists that there are perfectly logical non-alien explanations for Navy pilot’s reports of UFOs possessing technology that defies known physics. (And why Fox News published this article.) Apparently, Shostak knows more about UFO technology than experienced Navy fighter pilots who roam the skies on a daily basis. Nevertheless, while emphatically denying that ET is already here, Shostak advocates continuing the abstract “search” for extraterrestrial life, light years from Earth. After all, it’s a living.
UFOs are very real, as we have recently seen — but that doesn’t mean E.T. has been violating our airspace.
“UFO” refers to any flying object an observer cannot readily identify. And pilots with the U.S. Navy saw fast-moving UFOs repeatedly off the East Coast throughout 2014 and 2015, in one case apparently nearly colliding with one of the mysterious objects, The New York Times reported earlier this week.
Those incidents were reported to the Pentagon’s Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), whose existence the Times and Politico revealed in December 2017. (Interestingly, those 2017 stories cited Pentagon officials as saying that AATIP had been shut down in 2012.)
Former AATIP head Luis Elizondo, by the way, is involved with a new six-part series called ” Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation,” which premieres tonight (May 31) on The History Channel.
The Navy pilots said some UFOs reached hypersonic speeds without any detectable exhaust plumes, suggesting the possible involvement of super-advanced propulsion technology. Still, Defense Department officials aren’t invoking intelligent aliens as an explanation, according to this week’s Times story — and they’re right to be measured in this respect, scientists say.
There are multiple possible prosaic explanations for the Navy pilots’ observations, said Seth Shostak, a senior astronomer at the SETI ( Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence ) Institute in Mountain View, California.

The transcript of a conversation between a US Navy Vice Admiral and a leading scientist discussing a failed attempt to gain access to a highly classified program involving a crashed extraterrestrial craft has been recently released online. The conversation took place on October 16, 2002, and involved the retired Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Vice Admiral Thomas Wilson, speaking with Dr. Eric W. Davis, a scientist working on the feasibility of exotic propulsion systems with EarthTech International, an advanced technology think tank established in Austin, Texas.
In the 15 page document comprising the transcript, summary notes and an accompanying letter, Davis describes what Wilson told him about an April 10, 1997 “briefing” where he (Wilson) received information from former Apollo astronaut Dr. Edgar Mitchell and Dr. Steven Greer (founder of the Disclosure Project) about a classified UFO program that they had codeword information about. At the time, Wilson was a Rear Admiral (upper class); Deputy Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency; and Vice Director for Intelligence (VJ2), for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, a position he held from November 1994 to September 1997.
When Wilson inquired into the program’s existence from a regulatory body created for Special Access Programs, he learned it involved a corporate Research and Development effort involving a retrieved extraterrestrial craft but was denied access by three corporate officials working for a major US aerospace contractor.
The 1997 briefing was first publicly discussed by Greer and his associate Shari Adamiak only a month after it occurred and was corroborated by Mitchell over a decade later. In a May 1997 interview with Art Bell on Coast to Coast AM Greer said:
Joint Chiefs of staff level fellow that I briefed while I was in Washington about a month ago … After he looked at all this and heard the witness, he turned to us and said: ‘Well I have no doubt this is true but I am horrified that I hadn’t known about it’…Because of his position. And very, very senior … I can’t say who it was but a very, very senior position…And then they begin to come to grips with well: ‘Who the hell does know about it, what is going on here?’ And then they become frighten[ed].
Years later, Greer released a National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) document containing code words and locations that sparked Wilson’s failed attempt to gain access to the classified UFO program. In a workshop Greer explained the NRO document’s contents and what happened when Wilson investigated it:
“It’s the National Reconnaissance Office document. …..The reason it’s important is not so much for its content… ….. Take note of the distribution list, please. ….. …….’Blue Fire’, which is a code name, 1991, Commander’s Net, Royal Op’s, Cosmic Op’s…so, cosmic clearance…you’ve heard of this? It’s not a myth. It’s real. Maj Op’s, MAJI…It’s MAJIC Op’s. It goes through a whole bunch of them…Nellis Division, all these code numbers and you get down to some really interesting things. … this secret document went to the admiral [Admiral Tom Wilson] prior to our meeting, and he actually recognized one of these entities and made an inquiry, and it was being run by a contractor. ….. And the contractor…one of these corporate contractors…when he called them up, he said, ‘I’m Admiral Tom Wilson…at that time he was Head of Intelligence for the Joint Chiefs of Staff… I want to be read into this project.’ Guess what happened? They said, ‘Sir, you don’t have a need to know.’ This is the guy who’s supposed to give the intelligence briefings for the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States. He was told, ‘You don’t have a need to know’… and Admiral Wilson said, ‘Goddamn it, if I don’t have a need to know, who does?’ They said, ‘Sir, we cannot discuss this with you further’ and they hung up and blocked his line. This all happened before the stand-up meeting I did for [him with] Edgar Mitchell…6th man to walk on the moon…myself, my military adviser, and a few other people met with the Admiral in what’s called a ‘stand-up’ briefing. I was doing the presenting. It was supposed to be 45 minutes.
In 2007 Mitchell began publicly confirming that the briefing had indeed taken place, corroborating what Greer had revealed a decade earlier.
A detailed chronology of articles and interviews referring to the 1997 Wilson briefing is provided by Croatian UFO researcher Giuliano Marinkovic.
The transcript of the 2002 conversation between Wilson and Davis was first discussed in radio interviews by UFO researchers Grant Cameron and Richard Dolan in December 2018. Cameron said he was given the 15 page document, which he shared with Michael W. Hall a former lawyer and Superior Court judge. Hall has given several interviews in March 2019 discussing the document’s origins and authenticity.
Cameron, Dolan, and Hall believe the document is authentic, and its consistency with what Greer and Mitchell had earlier revealed does point to this. I contacted Dr. Eric Davis to comment on the document’s authenticity, and he replied saying: “I have no comment on this.” If the document was a hoax, I see no reason why Dr. Davis would not have said so.
All this leads me to conclude that the document is an authentic transcript of what Dr. Davis and Admiral Wilson discussed back in 2002 about the April 1997 meeting and Wilson’s subsequent investigation. The transcript was very recently released online and are available for public viewing.
The transcript, summary notes, and accompanying letter provide compelling documentary support that the 1997 briefing had occurred, exactly as Greer and Mitchell had reported up to two decades earlier. Importantly, the notes substantiate one of Greer’s major claims that he was regularly briefing senior officials in the Clinton Administration about the UFO coverup – something many UFO researchers had previously dismissed or ridiculed.
The transcript provides a fascinating insight into how a US Navy admiral who was Vice Director for Intelligence (VJ2), for the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the time, was denied access by corporate officials to a classified UFO program, which he firmly believed fell under his field of responsibility.
The briefing and unsuccessful investigation did not negatively impact Wilson’s career. Two years later, in May 1999, Wilson was promoted to Vice Admiral and became the 13th Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), a position he served in until July 2002.
Three months after his retirement, Wilson met with Davis to discuss the 1997 meeting and its aftermath. In the transcript, we learn about Wilson’s perspective on what had happened.
Presumably, the recording and transcription of Wilson and Davis’ conversation were intended for a small audience at EarthTech International, founded by Dr. Hal Puthoff, which was studying exotic propulsion systems, and releasing feasibility studies of them to interested scientists and journals.
In 2009, Davis and EarthTech included some of these exotic propulsion feasibility studies as Defense Intelligence Reference Documents, two of which were first leaked online in December 2017 by Corey Goode who says a confidential DIA source gave him them.
In the transcript, Davis (EWD) describes how Wilson (TW) began by confirming that the April 1997 meeting did take place and involved Greer, Mitchell, and US Naval Reserve Commander Willard H. Miller, who was Greer’s top military advisor.
Miller played a critical role in the various “UFO briefings” Greer gave senior officials and politicians during the Clinton administration:
TW: Confirmed Greer/Miller/Mitchell gave talk in Pentagon Conference room. Adm Mike Crawford, Gen. Pat Hughes (Hughes his boss) were present (others too.) Date April “97. (Ed Mitchell said 4/9/947.) After group broke up, Miller/Wilson talked (privately) 2 hours on UFOs, MJ-12, Roswell, crashed UFOs/alien bodies, etc. TW intrigued – knew about intelligence on US mil/intel UFO close encounters – and foreign gov’t encounters. Seen records. Told Miller. [Transcript/Summary p. 1]
Wilson was here acknowledging that the serving Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Lt. General Pat Hughes, also sat in on the meeting. After the meeting broke up, Miller and Wilson continued to discuss issues that had been raised:
TW: Yes, Miller asked the question on MJ-12/UFO cabal – crashed UFO. Confirmed he called Miller ca. late June ’97 and told that he/Miller was right – there is such an organization in existence. [Transcript/Summary p. 1]
Wilson was here acknowledging that after being informed about the existence of the classified UFO program by Greer and Mitchell in April 1997, he had inquired into the program’s existence, and discovered that MJ-12 was real and that there indeed was a UFO cabal running classified operations involving crashed UFOs. This accounted for why Admiral Wilson later failed to gain access to the crashed UFO program, as explained later in Davis’ summary notes.
Miller subsequently told Greer and Mitchell about what Wilson had revealed to him in June 1997, after he [Wilson] was denied access to the classified program that Greer and Mitchell had told him about earlier in April. Admiral Wilson [TW] was furious that Miller had told Greer and Mitchel about Wilson’s failure to access it, as Davis’ [EWD] transcript make clear:
TW: Very furious – very angry about Miller (facial expression tense, angry voice)
Violated personal and professional trust – especially among intelligence colleagues/Navy officers
There’s Navy camaraderie among officers – brotherhood
Violated that and confidentiality

The significance of all this is that Admiral Wilson did not want the details of what he learned during his investigation of the classified program that Greer and Mitchell had first brought to his attention becoming public. By telling Greer, Commander Miller had in Wilson’s opinion broken trust shared between naval intelligence officers to keep the information confidential. That is why he was so angry.
However, if it were not for Miller taking the risk he had, Greer and the world would probably not have learned the truth of what happened, and how corporate contractors had sidelined Wilson and US naval intelligence over a classified reverse engineering program of a crashed extraterrestrial vehicle.

• Professor Peter James and his colleagues at Baylor University’s College of Arts & Sciences compared maps of lunar topography with data collected by NASA’s Gravity Recovery and Interior Laboratory mission and found a mass of heavy metal lodged in the Moon’s mantle that is altering the moon’s gravitational field. The metallic mass is located underneath the moon’s South Pole-Aitken basin on the “dark side” of the Moon. The scientists published their finding April 5th in the journal Geophysical Research Letters.
• The metallic mass ‘hundreds of miles’ under the Moon’s surface is calculated to be 2.4 quadrillion tons (US) in weight and 1,553 miles (2,500 kilometers) wide, five times larger than the Big Island of Hawaii. The South Pole-Aitken crater is the biggest impact crater in the solar system. Its towering rim and deep basin are the Moon’s highest and lowest elevations.
• The researchers think that this underground anomaly could be the remnant of a heavy iron-nickel asteroid that blasted into the lunar core some 4 billion years ago. “We did the math and showed that a sufficiently dispersed core of the asteroid that made the impact could remain suspended in the Moon’s mantle until the present day,” James said.
• China’s Chang’E-4 lander reached the far side of the moon earlier this year and began analyzing soil near the crater which may yield some answers.
• [Editor’s Note] A dispersed mass of metal underneath the mantle on the back side of the Moon? This certainly could be the remnant of a metallic asteroid that plunged into the Moon 4 billion years ago (wherever the Moon was back then). So this could have been the source of the metal used by the Moon’s ancient occupants to build out its underground complex of living space to create a haven for Mars/Malduk refugees some 500,000 years ago. These would be the over-sized rooms and tunnels within the Moon that have been reported by Corey Goode and David Wilcock’s insiders. It would also explain why the Apollo 12 astronauts said that the Moon “rang like a bell” when they crashed a lunar module onto the lunar surface. Modern explorers have reportedly utilized these ancient interior structures in order to rebuild Moon bases, including the Lunar Operations Command, on the dark side of the Moon.
Earth’s moon is hiding an enormous secret on its storied dark side. Deep below the moon’s South Pole-Aitken basin (the largest preserved impact crater anywhere in the solar system), researchers have detected a gargantuan “anomaly” of heavy metal lodged in the mantle that is apparently altering the moon’s gravitational field.
According to a study of the mysterious blob, published April 5 in the journal Geophysical Research Letters, the anomaly may be the heavy leftovers of the asteroid that crashed into the far side of the moon and created the giant South Pole-Aitken crater some 4 billion years ago. However, all that researchers can say for sure at this point is that the blob is big — likely weighing somewhere in the neighborhood of 2.4 quadrillion US tons (2.18 quintillion kilograms).

• When launched, the next-generation ‘Laser Interferometer Space Antenna’ (LISA – pictured above) developed by the European Space Agency will be the first-ever space-based gravitational wave detector. It will consist of space probes arranged in a triangular formation with distance of about 2.5 million kilometers from each other.
• Professor Marek Abramowicz, the lead researcher from the University of Gothenburg in Sweden, believes that LISA may also be able to detect extraterrestrial communication. If the space antenna array were placed around a black hole, it could possibly decipher encrypted messages from an advanced alien civilization. Abramowicz said that that there is a chance of finding such an alien civilization if we know where to look. Technologically advanced civilizations may use the black hole’s innermost stable orbit to send messages to the rest of the galaxy.
• Abramowicz and his colleagues suggest that in the Milky Way, the central black hole called Sagittarius A* would be the ideal spot for a technologically advanced alien civilization to broadcast communications for the rest of the galaxy. “In order to be recognized as (a message), a gravitational wave Messenger beacon must emit a clearly unnatural signal, such as a persistent emission of gravitational waves at a constant frequency,” added Abramowicz.
• “We argue that if a sophisticated extraterrestrial civilization would decide to construct a device to study the massive black hole in the galactic center, or to extract energy from it, or even for intentions unfathomable to the human mind, this device can also serve as a Messenger,” Abramowicz explained.
• The ESA’s LISA is scheduled to launch into space to study gravitational waves by the year 2034.
A sophisticated space-based antenna developed by the European Space Agency (ESA) is designed to measure gravitational waves, but it could possibly also decipher encrypted messages from an advanced alien civilization, a new paper suggests.
A team of physicists suggested that the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) would be able to detect messages from an advanced alien civilization if it is placed around a black hole where the hypothetical extraterrestrials could look to.
LISA is the next-generation space instrument that is designed by ESA to detect and measure gravitational waves from space. If successfully launched, it will be the first-ever space-based gravitational wave detector. It will consist of space probes arranged in a triangular formation with distance of about 2.5 million kilometers from each other.
Professor Marek Abramowicz, the lead researcher from the University of Gothenburg in Sweden, believes that LISA is the answer to uncovering alien life in the Milky Way galaxy.
“Gravitational waves phenomena are omnipresent in the universe and with sufficient technological prowess relatively straightforward to detect,” the researchers said, adding they believe LISA plays a role in detecting extraterrestrial communication.
With the number of habitable planets in our galaxy and the estimation of the existence of advanced alien life using the Drake Equation, Abramowicz said that that there is a chance of finding one if we know where to look.

• Thirty years ago, Bob Lazar (pictured above) was a scientist working on extraterrestrial technology and spacecraft at the government’s top secret military installation known as S-4, near Area 51 in Nevada. • The FBI claimed that they were looking for a purchase receipt for ‘potentially toxic materials’ that may have led to a death of a past client of United Nuclear. But Lazar and Corbell found it curious that in a private conversation the day before, they had been discussing an anomalous, non-Earthly material known as Element 115, which Lazar had secreted from the top secret military base thirty years prior. (In the 2 minute video below, Lazar and Corbell relate how they had their cell phones in their pockets during the conversation, and they strongly suspect that the government was monitoring their conversation.) The FBI’s extensive multi-agency raid turned up nothing.
• “Lazar was able to acquire some of the element when it was being machined at Area 51,” Corbell told Express.co.uk. “Lazar did have a stabilized version of Element 115 in his possession at one time… He did tests on it – and filmed the element bending light due to its unique gravitational characteristics. A handful of witnesses observed these tests – including investigative reporter, George Knapp. There is footage of one of these tests in my film.”
• Corbell believes that the raid was meant as a direct threat to Lazar. “I suspect the raid was used as a tactic to apply pressure to Lazar because he was about to talk publicly again – regarding his role in a top-secret government UFO back-engineering program,” said Corbell. “This admittedly bizarre raid comes off the heals of the exact moment Lazar was planning to speak out publicly again – after essentially 30 years of silence.” “[P]eople have been trying to debunk Lazar for 30 years, they have not succeeded.”
Bob Lazar became a conspiracy legend when he sparked a frenzy more than 30 years ago, claiming alien technology was being tested inside Area 51. In 1989, with the help of journalist George Knapp, Mr Lazar detailed a story where he claimed he was stationed at a base known as S-4, south of the USAF’s Homey Airport. He speculated the auxiliary facility in the Nevada Desert was being used by the US Government to reverse engineer technology used by UFOs.
Following the revelation, Mr Lazar went quiet for three decades, until investigative filmmaker Jeremy Corbell finally convinced him to retell his story.
Together, the pair filmed “Bob Lazar: Area 51 & Flying Saucers”, which aimed to prove the claims of Mr Lazar.
During the show, which shot to number one on the iTunes chart in just days, a scene showed Mr Lazar’s business “United Nuclear” allegedly being raided by federal agents.
Many critics claimed the FBI were simply carrying out a standard investigation due to the nature of Mr Lazar’s claims.
However, Mr Corbell claims that documents shared with Express.co.uk suggest that the FBI, alongside assistance from Laingsburg Police Department, were following up on an investigation using a material believed to have been purchased from United Nuclear.
The papers discussed the search for a “poison” explaining why a HAZMAT (Hazardous Materials) truck was present.
However, Mr Corbell believes they were actually looking for something known as Element 115, which Mr Lazar is said to have taken from Area 51.

• The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), which will go online in 2021 replacing the Hubble Telescope, will be the most sophisticated space telescope ever made. The JWST will be able to observe high redshift objects that are too old and too distant for the Hubble and other earlier instruments to observe. We should be prepared for an answer.”

The most sophisticated space telescope ever made promises to see deeper into time, and with much greater clarity, than any space-based or terrestrial optical telescope on Earth. Some of the more starry-eyed fantasize JWST might even glimpse alien spacecraft hovering over their home planet.

A declassified CIA document called The Adam and Eve Story has generated much controversy over predictions of an upcoming pole shift (aka crustal displacement) and catastrophic events that may sweep the planet in the not distant future. The 57-page document is based on a book authored by Chan Thomas in 1963. In it, Thomas proposed a pole shift scenario that differed in significant ways with what Charles Hapgood had earlier proposed in his pioneering 1958 book, The Earth’s Shifting Crust.
Hapgood’s theory, which was endorsed at the time by Albert Einstein, proposed that the geophysical poles periodically move by as much as up to 40 degrees through crustal displacements. This phenomenon was brought about by the increasing weight of the polar ice caps which accumulate more and more ice over the millennia until they eventually generate sufficient centrifugal force due to the planet’s rotation, to make the crust move over the mantle as Einstein explained in the book’s foreword.
In The Adam and Eve Story, Chan proposed that the pole shift was much greater, as much as 90 degrees with the poles shifting into the equatorial zone in less than a day. Chan has proposed the poles would flip back and forth in this way so that Antarctica would eventually return to the South Pole region, and the Arctic would do likewise.
Each time the geographical poles did one of these 90 degree flips, there would be catastrophic winds and tidal waves all over the planet, especially in the equatorial region where the Earth’s spin was 1000 mph. Water and wind would continue to move in the westerly direction through the law of inertia, sweeping over the landmasses that traveled over the equatorial region during the shift as Thomas explained:
In ¼ to ½ a day the poles move almost to the equator, and all hell lets loose. The atmosphere and oceans don’t shift with the shell – they just keep on rotating West to East – and at the equator that speed is 1000 miles per hour. It has to be, normally, to make one rotation per day. So, while the shell shifts with the poles going toward the equator, the winds and oceans go eastward, blowing across the face of the earth with supersonic speeds, inundating continents with water miles deep….
You can see, then, that ice ages are not a matter of advancing and retreating ice; it’s simply that different areas of the Earth are in polar regions at different times, for different durations of time, with the changes between positions taking place in a fraction of a day. The following video illustrates what happens during one of these 90 degree shifts, and what Thomas was proposing for what’s to come. One can easily see how devastating such a 90 degree shift could be and why the CIA may have been motivated to suppress such information.
According to Ben Davidson, author of the popular Earth Catastrophe series, this flipping back and forth would address paleomagnetic studies that show that the magnetic poles have been in their present locations for millions of years. Davidson concluded that this made Thomas’ pole shift theory much more compelling than Hapgood’s. In fact, Davidson believed Hapgood was putting out his theory as a “limited hangout” by the CIA in order to put the truth out in a way that later could be easily discredited.
Unfortunately for Davidson, ice core samples from Antarctica clearly support Hapgood and not Thomas’ theory. Ice core samples from East Antarctica date back as much as 1.5 million years. The following diagram illustrates ice core samples taken from different Antarctic regions and show how far back in time the ice sheets date.

The results from the ice core drill sites show that East Antarctica has been covered by ice for hundreds of thousands years, with Lake Vostok having some of the oldest discovered ice (220,000 years). Older ice core samples than those recorded in the above map have subsequently been found both at Lake Vostok (400,000 years), and the Dome C area (800,000 years) as shown in NOAA records.
A subsequent 2013 study asserted that ice core samples of up to 1.5 million years are most likely to be found in the Dome C area of East Antarctica. Put simply, scientists agree that East Antarctica has been covered by ice sheets for at least 1.5 million years, and likely much longer than that.
In contrast, the ice core samples in West Antarctica are only a few centuries old, with only one so far matching the age of many of the East Antarctic sites. This site is in the drilling area designated Boyd whose ice was found to be 70,000 years old as the above map illustrates.
The ice core records show conclusively that much of the Antarctic continent has been located in the polar zone (latitudes greater than 66 degrees) for at least 1.5 million years, and not in the equatorial zone (O-23 degrees latitude) as proposed by Thomas. Hapgood’s theory offers a better explanation for why only part of Antarctica has been ice-free for significant periods. But how do we explain the 70,000 year old ice sample found in the Byrd region of West Antarctica?
To find a definitive answer to where the geographical poles have been located and then move via crustal displacements to new positions, preserving some but not all the ice accumulated before the displacement, we can turn to the work of Rand and Rose Flem-Ath, authors of When the Sky Fell.
In their well-documented book, they used a range of archeological and fossil records to show where ice sheets have been found over the last 100,000 years, and how these positions had changed due to crustal displacements as first proposed by Hapgood. To date, I have found no other authors laying out such a compelling case for using available scientific data to track the respective positions of the geographic poles during the last 100,000 years.
Their findings provide a clear explanation for the varying ages found in the ice core samples extracted from different regions of Antarctica; and why Hapgood, rather than Thomas, provides a more accurate explanation for how the crustal displacement theory works.
First, I begin with Flem-Aths’ illustration of the positions of the North and South poles prior to 91,600 BC. It shows how the bulk of East Antarctica was inside the Antarctic circle, while West Antarctic lay in the temperate zone – similar to the present day location of New Zealand. Note the South Pole was located just off the coast of East Antarctica at the time, while the North Pole was located in Alaska.
Importantly, the Dome C area containing some of the oldest ice core samples found to date was located within the Antarctic circle, thereby preserving much of the ancient ice sheets acquired over the previous 1.5 million years or more.

The next diagram shows the Antarctic continent in relation to the South Pole after a crustal displacement led to a pole shift around 91,600 BC. Consequently, during the period from 91,600 BC to 50,600 BC, much of lower region of West Antarctica, along with the Transantarctic mountains, lay within the Antarctic circle, while the Palmer peninsula and significant areas of East Antarctica lay within the temperate zone.
Once again the physical South Pole was located over the ocean, rather than the Antarctic continent – this time off the coast of West Antarctica – adjacent to the Ross Sea. The geophysical pole had moved approximately 40 degrees from off the coast of East Antarctica to just off the West Antarctic coast during the 91,600 BC pole shift.
This is very close to what Hapgood had proposed was the crustal displacement that would occur during a pole shift. Significantly, it is far less than the 90 degree pole shift claimed by Thomas.
Importantly the Dome C area remained entirely within the Antarctic circle thereby preserving its ancient ice sheet. Furthermore, the Byrd area where the 70,000 year old ice sample was found, had been moved from its prior location in the temperate zone prior to the 91,600 BC pole shift, to deep inside the Antarctic circle. This allowed the accumulation of ice to begin, thereby accounting for its estimated age.

The next pole shift occurred around 50,600 BC, and an illustration provided by the Flem-Aths shows the approximate locations of the poles from 50,600 BC to 9,600 BC.
Around 50,600 BC, the South Pole has flipped back to the other side of the Antarctic continent, where it again lay just off the coast of East Antarctica. An approximate 30 degree pole shift had occurred, which is again consistent with Hapgood’s estimate for the cyclic crustal displacements that the Earth undergoes. It’s important to emphasize that the 50,600 BC pole shift was far less than the 90 degree shift predicted in Thomas’ theory.
Most of East Antarctica was again located inside the Antarctic circle, both preserving its ancient ice sheets and allowing them to expand. The Byrd region, containing the 70,000 year old ice core sample, was now located just outside the Antarctic Circle. Its marginal position marginally inside the temperate zone, which would allow the Byrd region to preserve the bulk of its ice sheets similar to the glaciers of southern New Zealand.

The period from 50,600 BC to 9600 BC is significant since it corresponds to the last time major portions of the Antarctic continent lay outside the polar circle. The bulk of West Antarctic lay in the temperate zone, and its coastal area would therefore have been ice free. Significantly, West Antarctica’s coastline and interior would have been navigable, just as the 1513 Piri Reis Map showed.
In the following diagram, the Piri Reis map is superimposed over a map of the globe showing how the Antarctic coastline from the tip of the Palmer Peninsula, all the way down its eastern flank to East Antarctica was known to ancient sea captains.

Also vital to understand is that this period, 50,600 BC to 9600 BC corresponds to the Atlantean civilization that Plato wrote about in his famous dialogues, Critias and Timaeus. Plato explained Atlantis’ extensive island system and waterways deep into its interior, and how it was the hub for a mighty empire that ruled over much of Africa, Europe, and Asia.
This finally takes us to the 9600 BC pole shift that led to the entire Antarctic continent, being moved to wholly inside the Antarctic circle. The magnitude of the Earth crustal displacement moving the South Pole from its previous location just off the East Antarctic coast to its present location was approximately 20 degrees. Again, significantly less than what Thomas was proposing in his crustal displacement theory.
The Flem-Aths contend that Atlantis was located in Antarctica and that the remnants of this legendary lost civilization today lie under the West Antarctic ice sheets. This is consistent with what several whistleblowers and insiders have been revealing concerning the discovery of a flash-frozen civilization under the ice sheets.
If the Flem-Aths and others are right that Plato’s Atlantis is buried under the Antarctic ice, this gives us a means of estimating the devastation that would be caused by a crustal displacement of approximately 20 degrees. It would be sufficient to wipe out the coastal regions all over the globe such as the low-lying archipelagos such as Atlantis, but allow those living in elevated or mountainous regions to survive the subsequent tsunamis, earthquakes, and hurricanes accompanying a pole shift.
When ice core samples are examined in relation to what we know about Earth crustal displacement theories proposed by Hapgood and Thomas, they lead to a clear conclusion. The examination of ice core samples from different parts of Antarctica support Hapgood’s theory that earth crustal displacements happen periodically, and involve Pole Shifts of up to 40 degrees.
The Flem Aths book, When the Sky Fell, gives us a means of tracking the most significant pole shifts over the last 100,000 thousand years, and illustrates how these have occurred in a manner that is consistent with what ice core samples tell us.
Thomas’ theory that the Earth regularly experiences 90 degree pole shifts that flip the poles back and forth from equatorial regions is not supported by Antarctic ice core records. While it is comforting to know that the Earth is unlikely to experience anything like the cataclysmic 90 degree pole shift predicted by Thomas, it is sobering to know that even a 20 degree pole shift devastated the worldwide Atlantean civilization 11,600 years ago.
The likelihood that we will soon experience a pole shift due to another crustal displacement caused by solar activity, cosmic rays, collapse of the Earth’s magnetic field, activity from the Earth’s core, and/or a rapid melt off of the West Antarctic, appears to be quite high as I have suggested in previous articles examining Davidson’s Earth Catastrophe series.
This calls for an unprecedented level of transparency by governments in sharing data about Antarctica’s history, what is known about prior pole shifts, and the disclosure of suppressed technologies that would enable the bulk to humanity to prepare and escape from impending cataclysmic events.

• In 2002, in a field near Crabwood/Winchester, Hampshire, England, this famous crop circle appeared overnight (pictured above). It’s been exhaustively filmed, documented, photographed and researched by multiple scholars all over the world. These types of crop circles are intricate, remarkable and very complex designs that are “sown” into crop fields.
• Richard Taylor, a physicist from the University of Oregon, notes that the nodes of these stalks are blasted out on one side, and not simply flattened. This ‘blasting’ effect has been replicated by highly localized microwave heating, which causes water inside the crop to vaporize and dislodge. As a result, the stock flops completely over to one side. Taylor concludes that crop circle artists are using GPS devices, lasers, and microwaves to create these astonishing patterns of geometric forms.
• Paul Vigay, a British computer consultant notable for work in developing and supporting RISC OS software and longtime researcher in the field, was the first to discover that the message was encoded in ASCI binary code.
• Miia Pitkonen, a physicist from the University of Helsinki in Finland, published a paper titled “Crop Circles and Life at Parallel Space-Time Sheets”, a two part series that examines the Crabwood crop circle. Pitkonen reports, “Crabwood message consists of two parts. An alien picture and a picture representing spiral like bit sequence starting from the center of the picture and proceeding counterclockwise. It has been proposed that the message is coded using 9-bit code and that 8-bit portions obey ASCII code. With this assumption the message reads as: ‘Beware the bearers of FALSE gifts & their BROKEN PROMISES. Much PAIN but still time. EELI!UVE. There is GOOD out there. We OPpose DECEPTION. Conduit CLOSING\’
• Pitkonen explains, “The (crop circle) interpretation relies on extremely general aspects of the ASCII code: capital and small letters correspond to amino-acids and capital and small forms of a given letter denote for the same amino-acid. Control signs denote the amino-acidic counterparts for the code associated with the exotic RNA. The ordering of the symbols does not matter. One could also use different kinds of symbols: only the numbers of various kinds of symbols telling how many code words are mapped to a particular amino-acid (or whatever counterpart of it) matter.”
• Whoever made this circle is extremely artistically, technologically, and mathematically advanced to a point beyond belief.
Did you know that crop circles are actually real? How they’re made and who or what is making them is up for debate, but the existence of intricate, remarkable and very complex designs that are “sown” into crop fields all around the world is a fact that’s not open for debate. Looking at some of these designs, especially footage taken from a plane or a helicopter, should give you goosebumps.

There will always be those who reject some sort of supernatural hypothesis, but for those who actually look deeper into the crop circle phenomenon, it’s hard to argue that something strange isn’t happening. Personally, I would say it’s obvious.
The crop circle you see above appeared in 2002 in a field near Crabwood, United Kingdom. Yes, it was real. It’s been filmed, documented and photographed. There is footage all over the internet. It made a lot of noise as it’s documented in the Crop Circle archives and has been researched by multiple scholars all over the world.
Who could do something like this? Who could design a binary code and implant a face within a crop in the dead of night in only a few hours, leaving no entrance or exit marks, while being artistically and mathematically precise?
Miia Pitkonen is one of many scholars who have examined this particular circle. He is a physicist from the University of Helsinki in Finland, specializing in medical physics. Clearly, he has an interest in this phenomenon because he published a paper titled “Crop Circles and Life at Parallel Space-Time Sheets.” It’s a two part series, and in it he examines the Crabwood crop circle.

• In 1977, NASA scientists installed a golden record on two space probes that were part of the Voyager Mission. On each copy were dozens of images, sounds from nature, and multiple greetings in 55 different languages. The record also contained music from around the world, and included classical as well as a recording of Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B Goode.” “This was a way of telling another civilization about us,” explained the legendary astronomer and astrophysicist Frank Drake.
• Drake and fellow astrophysicist, the late Carl Sagan, also wrote what’s known as the Arecibo Message in 1974, the first interstellar radio message sent from earth to a globular star cluster known as M13 in hopes that extraterrestrial intelligence could receive and decipher it.
• Drake and Sagan also designed what is known as the Pioneer plaques. These plaques were another kind of message from earth that scientists hoped would be intercepted by extraterrestrial beings from the 1972 Pioneer 10 and the 1973 Pioneer 11 spacecraft missions.
• In 2015, Russian billionaire Yuri Milner unveiled a project called the “Breakthrough Initiatives” to search for extraterrestrial intelligence over the span of at least 10 years. Part of the Initiatives program includes a $1M Breakthrough Message competition, where the task is to design a digital message to send to advanced civilizations. But no message has yet been sent. And some, such as Doug Vakoch who heads up: Messaging Extraterrestrial Intelligence (METI), want to send the messages now and hear back from other civilizations. He explained that the messages would be sent by radio or in the near future, by lasers using very brief laser pulses.
• Not everyone agrees we should be rapidly concocting and sending messages. Stargazer Alicia Adams says, “I’ve seen Mars Attacks and that ended horribly!” Retired Professor of Astronomy Andrew Fraknoi says it’s a question over which space scientists are now grappling. “If we’re going to be deciding to advertise our presence to the universe, we should have a discussion with the rest of the world,” said Fraknoi. “Are we ready to signal out there that we on earth exist? We are barely getting along with each other. Are we ready to get along with aliens?”
• Drake thinks intelligent beings already know we’re here due to television and radio signals traveling in space. “It’s too late, folks. We’ve made our presence known big-time,” said Drake.
• A recent survey by Glocalities involving 24 countries found nearly half of all humans believe in extraterrestrials.
An ambitious new effort is underway to make direct contact with intelligent life beyond earth, improving upon 70s-era space missions which included attempts to bring messages from Earth to extraterrestrials.

The hope was that somewhere beyond our solar system, intelligent life or advanced civilizations will find them and be able to decipher their contents.

The Roller Coaster ride that is the Trump presidency has reached new heights with his efforts to implement another branch of the military he has labelled The Space Force.
Trump may be the most unique president in American history. Much of what he says and does is worthy of the condemnation heaped upon him by the Main Stream Media, his many political opponents and even “independent” journalists such as Gordon Duff, Robert David Steele and yours truly…..even though I believe RussiaGate was a British intelligence operation designed to prevent his election and then undermine his presidency.
I find his close association with Bibi Netanyahu, Sheldon Adelson and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman which is facilitated by his son-in-law Jaren Kushner deeply troubling.
But, despite what I consider his war crimes in Syria, Yemen and elsewhere and his vulnerability to impeachment charges for the “high misdemeanor” of Maladministration after two years of chaotic leadership, this observer has to give him a begrudging vote of confidence for his boldness, tenacity and unflappable perseverance in the face of the most extreme assault on a presidency since Abe Lincoln.
The thing I find most interesting about his stewardship is his association with the Space Program. Although this area of public policy gets little attention compared to the glory days of the Apollo era, Trump is carving out his own legacy that might be comparable to JFK’s.
As Richard Dolan, Joseph Farrell, Michael Salla, Richard Hoagland, Jim Marrs, Daniel Liszt,and other researchers have documented, there is impressive evidence of a well-funded and well developed “Breakaway Civilization” or Secret Space Program.
As we know, Trump is all about the money and for those looking for the $21 Trillion missing from the Pentagon, Katherine Austin Fitts and Farrell make a strong case there is a thriving economy based off-planet secretly funded by stolen public funds and private financing. With Adelson and Kushner involved in backing the recent Israeli Moon shot, that may help explain some of what is going on behind the scenes.
As I have written previously, almost all of the recent Deep State scandals can be explained as covering up the existence of the Secret Space Program/Breakaway Civilization and is the missing piece of contemporary history precisely as Dolan has described.
That includes RussiaGate which still roils the public dialogue even as I compose this article. Few observers have commented on how Mueller and Comey “colluded” to suppress cloaking technology by a private entrepreneur in an apparent attempt to keep the invisibility factor within the provenance of the existing power structure in charge of the UFO file. This occurred after Comey’s six years at Lockheed and time at HSBC!
As George Webb has explained in great detail, Mueller has deep family ties to the Military Industrial Complex that preceded both World Wars and then continued with the German Paper Clip scientists who helped create the US Space Program.
In the middle of this is Donald Trump with his Uncle John’s ties to Nikola Tesla, his calls for a Space Force, the strange relationship of his mentor Roy Cohn to Senator Joe McCarthy’investigation of UFOs in the 1950s………and so much more.
The UFO community is lusting for an end of the Truth Embargo and Disclosure of the ET presence. It is grasping at every tidbit of evidence that might signal its onset. This helps explain the To The Stars Academy phenomena despite what many see as a sophisticated psy-op/limited hang-out designed by well-connected former CIA operatives.
Tom deLonge, Louis Elizondo and their crew may prove to be the real deal as Steve Bassett and others claim. But those of us who have our doubts see warning signs attached to names like Hillary Clinton, John Podesta and Harry Reid on top of the company’s muddled links to the CIA.
Somehow, despite Syria, Venezuela, Iran, Yemen, North Korea, the immigration crisis, RussiaGate, health care, environmental issues, the economy and more, Trump has found a niche to arguably elevate the conversation into a whole other realm reminiscent, may I dare say, of JFK.
However reluctant I am to make the comparison, it was Kennedy’s decision to go to the Moon that serves as a template upon which other presidents have forged their space policies. JFK then proposed working with the former Soviet Union. Salla and others have posited that Trump and Putin may be revisiting that dialogue as part of their private talks that has outraged Hillary and others.

• The US Navy applied for three patents in 2016. One of them was for a “craft using an inertial mass reduction device”, and it was granted last year. US Navy scientist Salvatore Cezar Pais filed the patent. The theoretical craft would use an ‘inertial mass reduction device’ generating artificial gravity waves. With this reduction in mass, it thereby lessens the object’s resistance to motion, or ‘inertia’, and is able to travel at a much greater velocity in water, air or even space.
• ‘It is possible to reduce the inertial mass and hence the gravitational mass, of a system/object in motion, by an abrupt perturbation of the non-linear background of local space-time,’ the patent states. ‘This hybrid craft would move with great ease through the air/space/water mediums, by being enclosed in a vacuum plasma bubble/sheath.’
• The craft described in the patent features a cavity wall filled with gas, which is then made to vibrate using powerful electromagnetic waves. This then creates a vacuum around the craft, allowing it to propel itself at high speeds.
• Earlier this year, it was revealed that US government researchers investigated wormholes, antigravity, invisibility cloaking, warp drives and high energy laser weapons during an official but covert probe into ‘unexplained aerial phenomena’ called the Advanced Aerospace Threat and Identification Program (AATIP). The program allegedly ended in 2012. Details of AATIP were first released in 2017.
• Nick Pope, former UFO investigator at the Ministry of Defence, noted that this patented design was “uncannily similar” to the ‘tic tac UFO’ that was reported by Navy jet pilots from the USS Nimitz off of the coast of San Diego in 2004. The pilots saw a huge patch of churning, turbulent water suggesting something was beneath the surface, and then a tic tac UFO that accelerated at an ‘impossibly’ high speed. Pope also said that a similar incident of a UFO flying underwater occurred in Puerto Rico in 2013. “It’s possible that the patent is inspired by the incident and is part of an attempt to work out the technology behind the objects that were chased by the Navy F-18s. This is known as ‘reverse-engineering’,” says Pope.
• The Navy patent also mentions Dr. Harold Puthoff, a key figure in AATIP who commissioned the 38 papers exploring exotic propulsion system technologies, which were used in Defense Intelligence Agency briefings filed with the US Congress. This is the type of “technology that we’d need for interstellar travel,” Pope added. “These patents might be the first steps in taking humankind to the stars.”

• Remote viewing, i.e.: an ability of a human “viewer” to mentally “see” a remote time and place, which they may have never been to, has been proven scientifically to be accurate and consistent. Governments all around the world, including the United States, have had successful remote viewing programs. Still, because the concept of remote viewing conflicts with people’s belief systems, especially those in academia, it is often brushed off as ‘pseudoscience’.
• Dr. Jessica Utts, the Chair of the Department of Statistics at the University of California, Irvine, said, “What convinced me (that remote viewing was real) was… the accumulating evidence as I worked in this field…. I visited the laboratories, even beyond where I was working to see what they were doing, and I could see that they had really tight controls…and so I got convinced by the good science that I saw being done.”
• Harold E. Puthoff, the lead scientist and co-founder of Stanford’s remote viewing program, said, “… remote viewing in independent laboratories has yielded considerable scientific evidence for the reality of the phenomenon. Adding to the strength of these results was the discovery that a growing number of individuals could be found to demonstrate high-quality remote viewing, often to their own surprise. . . . The development of this capability at [the Stanford Scientific Research Institute] has evolved to the point where visiting CIA personnel with no previous exposure to such concepts have performed well under controlled laboratory conditions.”
• The DIA’s remote viewing program was known as Stargate Project (established in Fort Meade, Maryland in 1978 until 1995) in which multiple viewers with exceptional skills were utilized. Among them were Lyn Buchanan, Pat Price and Ingo Swann.
• Through his remote viewing experiences, Lyn Buchanan categorized the four types of extraterrestrial beings interacting here on the Earth: “We’ve got those [ETs] who are more psychic than us and those that are less psychic than us. In each of those two categories we’ve got friendly to us [ETs] and unfriendly to us, the unfriendly non-psychic ones tend to not come here. They don’t like us, they don’t want to be around us. The non-psychic friendly ones come here for trade. The psychic friendly ones actually want to help us develop our abilities and become stronger at it. And the unfriendly psychic ones want us wiped off the planet, they want us dead, period, no questions asked.”
• Lyn Buchanan also mentions five extraterrestrial bases on (or “in”) the Earth. They are all inside of mountains, and humans are working with these extraterrestrials at some of these bases. Ingo Swann has also talked about extraterrestrial bases on Earth in his book, Penetration: The Question of Extraterrestrial and Human Telepathy.
• Pat Price had also remotely viewed four alien bases on Earth, one of which was located under Mount Ziel, some 80 miles west-northwest of Pine Gap (Australia). Price believed that this base contained a mixture of ‘personnel’ from the other bases. The other bases were said to be under Mount Perdido in the Pyrenees (Spain), Mount Inyangani in Zimbabwe (Africa), and under Mount Hayes in Alaska. Price described the bases’ occupants as ‘looking like homo sapiens, except for the lungs, heart, blood and eyes’.
For anybody who’s looked into the Remote Viewing programs that were (and probably still are) in operation within several governments around the world, it’s very easy to become awe struck with regards to the validity of these programs, despite the fact that they’ve received a lot of criticism from skeptics. One merely has to look at the facts to get a good picture of just how successful, accurate, and useful these programs were, and again, probably still are. Such an eye opening and revealing quote, and a fact that needs to be emphasized because when it comes to remote viewing, it conflicts with so many people’s belief systems, including many within the fields of academia. Thus, it is often brushed off as ‘pseudoscience’ without any proper investigation or inquiry. This is odd, given the fact that multiple governments have admitted to studying remote viewing and other phenomena that falls under the umbrella of parapsychology.
What is remote viewing? It’s an ability that allows the ‘viewer’ to be able to describe a remote geographical location up to several hundred thousand kilometres away (even more) from their physical location — one that they have never been to.

Multiple viewers were used with exceptional skills inside of this program, which was known as the STARGATE program. One of them was Lyn Buchanan, a veteran and an Army Remote viewer who worked inside of the program. His status within the program has been verified by the declassified literature that was released on the program in 1995.

• ‘Oumuamua’, a mysterious celestial object that hurtled close to the Earth in 2017, is the first known object to come here from outside the solar system. Rob Weryk, the person who initially spotted Oumuamua at the University of Hawaii, says that there isn’t “any reason to believe that it’s anything but a natural object.”
• But Professor Abraham ‘Avi’ Loeb (pictured above) of Harvard’s Center for Astrophysics noted that the object did not behave like a typical comet or asteroid. If it were a comet, Loeb said, its excess acceleration would have likely been apparent in the form of a tail of dust or gas. Also, its elongated shape is unlike any asteroid or comet observed before. Loeb said he is simply using the available data to draw an evidence-based conclusion. “Let’s put all the possibilities on the table,” Loeb said. Perhaps, Loeb reasoned, the object had been an artificial object sent from an extraterrestrial civilization. “If someone would show me clear evidence that it’s natural in origin, then I would admit it and move on,” he said.
• Loeb’s speculation has drawn the ire of the scientific community. Astrophysicists from across the country have spoken out against Loeb’s theory, painting him as a sensationalist and worse. Some think that Loeb’s assertions will damage the field’s long-term credibility. “[P]eople think that astronomers are just hunting for aliens,” said Paul M. Sutter, astrophysicist at Ohio State University. “The next time we go out to Congress or the public asking for money, there’s going to be a lot of people shaking their heads saying, ‘Oh, you guys are just nutballs.’”
• But Loeb has refused to back down, digging in his heels against what he considers unjust appraisal. His work, he insists, is not the result of some half-baked sci-fi fantasy. The researchers whose opinions Loeb does value have offered support for the idea — even if they’ve been wary of putting their names to it publicly. Loeb argues that scientific study has become far too conservative — avoiding controversial or unpopular examinations in favor of safer subjects that might earn a scientist an award or induction into a prestigious society, but are not necessarily conducive to substantial scientific advances.
• Irwin Shapiro, the former longtime director of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, called Loeb “brilliant.” Stephen Hawking once dined at his home. In 2012, Loeb was named one of the 25 most influential people in space by Time Magazine.
• Loeb was raised in an Israeli farming village. He passed his days reading philosophy books and writing notes to himself. He didn’t move into the field of astrophysics until the age of 26. “The reason I’m different from my colleagues,” he said, “is because I was different from the beginning.”
• In spite of the backlash, Loeb has been happy to field calls from media outlets across the world, and is close to signing a deal for a book on ‘Oumauamua’. Seven different filmmakers have reached to him out about the possibility of doing a film.

It’s where he has hatched ideas for papers on black holes and the future of the universe, and where, last year, he spent some time pondering a notion that would eventually make him — in some circles, at least — the subject of considerable ridicule.

He’d been thinking about the phenomenon of ‘Oumuamua, a mysterious object that hurtled close to the Earth in 2017. It had become an instant sensation in the scientific community, the first known object from outside the solar system, and astronomers and astrophysicists had jumped to analyze and explain the anomalous object. Theories were developed. Papers were published.
Loeb had a theory, too, and late last year, he detailed it, along with co-author and postdoctoral researcher Shmuel Bialy, in an article for The Astrophysical Journal Letters. Perhaps, he reasoned, the structure had been an artificial object sent from an extraterrestrial civilization.
Almost immediately, the piece ignited the kind of firestorm rarely, if ever, seen in the buttoned-down world of modern-day astronomy.
In the months since the paper’s publication, astrophysicists from across the country have spoken out against Loeb’s theory, painting him as a sensationalist and worse. The researcher who first discovered ‘Oumuamua — Hawaiian for “messenger from afar arriving first” — via telescope has called Loeb’s suggestions “wild speculation.” Another compared Loeb’s logic to that of flat-earthers.
But even as criticism has continued to pour in, Loeb — who is short and slight and wears a near-constant half-smile — has refused to back down, digging in his heels against what he considers unjust appraisal.
He has brushed off much of the negative feedback as the jealous or prejudiced grumblings of scientists he doesn’t respect, adding that the researchers whose opinions he does value have offered support for the idea — even if they’ve been wary of putting their names to it publicly.

• The New York-based Mattershift, a start-up business founded by alumni from MIT and Yale, has reported in the journal Science Advances that they’ve successfully created a ‘replicator’ machine that can 3-d print literally anything out of thin air using large-scale carbon nanotube (CNT) membranes that are able to combine and separate individual molecules.
• Mattershift’s approach is more about separating and combining molecules to form new raw materials, which is why working on creating fuels is a logical place to start. Mattershift founder and CEO Dr. Rob McGinnis says, “[R]ight now we’re working to remove CO2 from the air and turn it into fuels. This has already been done using conventional technology… Using our tech, I think we’ll be able to produce carbon-zero gasoline, diesel, and jet fuels that are cheaper than fossil fuels.”
• “It should be possible… to make anything we need from basic molecular building blocks,” said McGinnis. “We’re talking about printing matter from the air. Imagine having one of these devices with you on Mars. You could print food, fuels, building materials, and medicines from the atmosphere and soil or recycled parts without having to transport them from Earth.”

• It used to be that mainstream scientists such as Stephen Hawking would describe believers in UFOs and extraterrestrials as fringe “kranks”. But today, many respectable scientists not only believe in ET and UFOs, but claim to have been in communication with them, or have even had a close encounter. The article’s author, Diana Walsh Pasulka, has written a book entitled: American Cosmic: UFOs, Religion, Technology, which reveals how the increasing belief in nonhuman intelligence inspires our science and entertainment.
• Jacques Vallée is a computer scientist who has long been open to the reality of the extraterrestrial presence on and around the earth. He consulted on Steven Spielberg’s movie, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and he paved the way for other Silicon Valley scientists and biotechnologists to draw from alien technology, using technology from alien spacecraft crash sites and information from mental downloads.
• Technology entrepreneur Rizwan Virk claims to have spoken with top researchers at Stanford, MIT, and Harvard who have actually seen alien “artifacts”. Virk also says that he accompanied several research scientists to an alien spaceship crash site in New Mexico, which was not the Roswell crash.
• Pasulka maintains that religions are social phenomena that emerge from their environments. Today’s digital environment (through films, phones, and computers) is producing new forms of religious beliefs which take for granted that extraterrestrials are in regular communication with humans on earth. The difference between these “religious” beliefs is that traditional religions require blind belief without real proof. The belief in extraterrestrial intelligence interacting with earth humans, however, is something that will be proven true.
• Until now, scientists and researchers have shied away from expressing their belief in an extraterrestrial presence, due to what Pasulka calls “the John Mack Effect.” Dr. John Mack was a Pulitzer Prize winning research psychiatrist working at Harvard University. In the 1990s Mack began a study of people who believed that they were in contact with extraterrestrial intelligence and found that they were not delusional, but were perfectly normal. Still, Harvard University questioned his motives in an internal investigation, and portrayed him as a ‘kook’. This produced a chilling effect related to the study of UFOs as scholars became unwilling to risk their reputations to study the phenomena.
• However, a recent presentation by Garry Nolan of Stanford University at the Harvard Medical School’s Consortium for Space Genetics, argued that the people who would be best equipped to explore space would be those whose brains were attuned to nontraditional forms of knowledge, and who have the ‘hyperintuition’ – the ability to know things beyond normal means, like a sixth sense. • For her book, Pasulka interviewed a biotechnologist named Thomas, who works in the field of cancer research. Thomas has introduced ‘implant technology’ to the field, using implant devices etched with a laser and coded so that human tissue recognizes and adapts to them. But he made a point not to reveal to his fellow scientists that he got the idea of an implant from alleged extraterrestrial technology. Says Thomas, “It would have been so far removed from their own belief systems that it would have been impossible for them to implement my vision. So, I keep that part secret.”
• The potential of almost unimaginable space infrastructures has created a new form of religion based on possible realism. Given the ways in which religious and spiritual beliefs develop, the emerging connection between Silicon Valley technopreneurs and alien technology is not surprising. As Vallée said, ‘the apparent absurdity of the claims does not mean they are not true’.
I first met Thomas* through a mutual friend. By most societal standards, Thomas would be considered “normal”—he’s a successful biotechnologist with a partner and kid, he enjoys long walks on the weekend and eating out. In his work, he helps create technologies that help people recover from illnesses, such as cancer. But the inspiration for some of Thomas’s most successful technologies—such as implant devices that are etched with a laser and coded so that human tissue recognizes them as itself, and not a foreign agent, or the use of an ancient stem cell that appears to help alleviate pain associated with cancer—is not something he openly shares. Why? Because, he explained to me, the implants were inspired by “nonhuman intelligence.” In other words, it wasn’t his own brilliant idea, nor was it another human’s. He believes that it came from a supernatural source, perhaps extraterrestrial.
His research protocol was, to be blunt, not transparent. He never told any of the scientists he recruited to his team where he acquired the idea for the new technology, because, according to Thomas, “First, they would have thought I was really weird, and second—and most importantly—it would have prevented them from being successful in implementing the necessary steps to create the technology. It would have been so far removed from their own belief systems that it would have been impossible for them to implement my vision. So, I keep that part secret.”

It has long been the case that people who believe in UFOs or extraterrestrials are characterized, as Stephen Hawking has described them, as “cranks” or fringe dwellers. Despite that association, some of the world’s brilliant, Nobel Prize–winning minds, among them the mathematician John Nash and the biochemist Kary Mullis, have had experiences they perceive to be close encounters. The University of Oxford’s Richard Dawkins, famous for his advocacy of Darwin’s theory of evolution as well as his disbelief in God and religions, nonetheless has suggested that human civilization may have been seeded by an alien civilization.
More strikingly, according to research by psychologists, belief in extraterrestrials is increasing in unprecedented ways. I myself found this to be the case, especially among contemporary technopreneurs (entrepreneurs who use technology to make an innovation or fill a need), just like Thomas. A belief that was once on the fringe now appears to be the new black. Spending a day with high-functioning believers—as I have done several times in the past few months as research for my book American Cosmic: UFOs, Religion, Technology—reveals a lot about how the increasing belief in nonhuman intelligence inspires our real world as well as our entertainment.

Perhaps the first technopreneur who has long been “out” concerning his belief in UFOs is Jacques Vallée, who worked on ARPANET (the proto-internet), a program funded by the military. In fact, he was working on this new technology while experimenting with telepathic phenomena, what some would call “woo-woo” science. Vallée was so well known for his study of UFOs that Steven Spielberg asked him to consult on the set of Close Encounters of the Third Kind (the French scientist played by François Truffaut in the movie is based on Vallée). He was one of the first vocal technologists to advocate for the study of UFOs, and he paved the way for a slew of other Silicon Valley scientists and biotechnologists who believe that the secret to their success is alien technology—in other words, artifacts found at alleged alien spacecraft crash sites or information provided to them through mental downloads.

The gaming expert, technologist, and investor Rizwan Virk confirms this new direction in the belief and practices associated with UFOs. In an article on the website Hacker Noon, he wrote, “I can say that I have personally spoken to researchers from top universities (Stanford, MIT, Harvard) who have seen the “artifacts” that the article references, and other similar ones that are even more secretive (and perhaps more functional).” In my own research, I have also met scientists who believe in these artifacts; I’ve even accompanied several of them on an expedition to an alleged alien crash site in New Mexico, which, I was told, was “not Roswell.” But I couldn’t tell you where, exactly, we were, as I was blindfolded so I wouldn’t be able to identify the location.

Eminent German astrobiologists and scientists were invited to give presentations, including Karl Menten, Director of the Max Planck Institute, Gerhard Haerendel, recipient of the Allan D. Emil Memorial Award for pioneering achievements in space sciences, Andreas Losch from the Institute of Systematic Theology at the University of Bern, Switzerland, and the article’s author, Dirk Schulze-Makuch, who spoke on the Cosmic Zoo hypothesis.
• The meeting was hosted by the evangelical academy, underscoring the continuing interest of religious groups in the possibility of extraterrestrial life and what it might mean for faith communities. The Catholic Church appears to me to be the most interested group of all. In 2014 the Vatican Observatory even co-hosted a conference in Arizona on whether we are alone in the Universe.
• Earlier this year, the discovery of a new source of Fast Radio Bursts suggested that they could be messages from advanced technological civilizations. Tabby’s Star, which suddenly dips its light curve, has been linked to alien megastructures.
• Last November, Avi Loeb of Harvard University suggested that ‘Oumuamua’, the first object seen to enter our Solar System from interstellar space, could be a lightsail built by an advanced intelligent civilization. Its motion seems to indicate that something other than simple gravitation might be at work.
• The longest unresolved enigma is the Wow! signal, which has all the hallmarks of an alien transmission but unfortunately was only received once. It may have been a transmission from one starship to another, or perhaps from a ship to its home base, and Earth just happened to be in the way.
• However likely or unlikely these anomalies, it is clear that interest in the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence is on the rise again, as shown not only by this latest conference near Munich, but by NASA’s renewed interest in what’s now called “technosignatures” of advanced life. Many people, beyond just scientists, understand what a detection of extraterrestrial intelligent life elsewhere would mean – nothing less than a complete re-assessment of our place in the Universe.
