“Let’s See Them Aliens”: The Comic Futility of #StormArea51

Listen to “E43 7-27-19 “Let’s See Them Aliens”: The Comic Futility of #StormArea51” on Spreaker.

Article by Kate Knibbs                      July 17, 2019                      (theringer.com)

• Believing in aliens used to automatically catapult a person into kook territory, but things have changed. Prominent public figures are treating the UFO and extraterrestrial phenomenon seriously, from Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb, to aerospace billionaire Robert Bigelow, to the New York Times, to members of Congress demanding briefings. All of this has lent credence to a Facebook event called “Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us.” (see previous ExoArticle) Well over a million Facebook users have pledged to show up at a Nevada tourist spot, to invade en masse the secret military base known as ‘Area 51’ at 3 am, September 20th.

• A similar online phenomenon happened in 2017 as Hurricane Irma approached the Florida coastline. Ryon Edwards created a Facebook event called “Shoot at Hurricane Irma.” Over 80,000 people responded with interest in attacking the hurricane, though no one did. It was a way to diffuse a frightening situation with a lighthearted meme.

• Like the Irma event, this is an obvious stunt. The post reads: “If we naruto run (like an animated video game character), we can move faster than their bullets.” And the Facebook page itself is called “Shitposting cause im in shambles”. Many attendees responded tongue-in-cheek: “I only RSVP’d for the memes” and “Let’s see them aliens.”

• Samantha Travis, the manager of the Little A’Le’Inn tourist spot where the invaders are scheduled to convene, said people have been calling “nonstop, all day,” and all of their rooms are booked. University student, Jackson Weimer, imagines that it will turn into a big party. Travis noted that there is plenty of available campground space.

• While the vast majority of participants are openly kidding around and not seriously planning to attack a military base, the military itself appears to be treating this as a matter of real concern. An Air Force spokesperson told the Washington Post that it is “ready to protect America and its assets.”

• There’s a good chance “Storm Area 51” will be a distant memory by the time September 20th actually rolls around. In the same way that people took a moment to laugh at the concept of attacking a hurricane, the punch line to “Storm Area 51” is how cartoonishly futile life can feel. It is the sort of joke that can puncture the terrors of climate change and evil governments. The popularity of “Storm Area 51” reflects a larger mood of low-grade fatalism and hyperbolic violence that is percolating online this summer.

Over a million people have RSVP’d to an event on Facebook called “Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us.” The military has warned people to stay away. It’s just a gag—but one particularly well-suited to this summer.

In 2017, as Hurricane Irma twirled menacingly toward the Florida coastline, a young Floridian named Ryon Edwards coped with storm-related anxiety in a very modern way. He logged onto Facebook and created an event called “Shoot at Hurricane Irma.” Over 80,000 people responded that they were interested in staging an attack on the “GOOFY LOOKING WINDY HEADASS NAMED IRMA.” No one ever opened fire on Irma; at least, there is no documentation of such an event. The Facebook post was a joke, a way to diffuse a frightening situation with a lighthearted meme. Despite some hand-wringing by local authorities, it wasn’t actually worth fretting over.

In recent days, a similarly playful Facebook event has reached an even greater height of popularity. “Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us,” an event scheduled for 3 a.m. on September 20 at the famously mysterious Nevada military base, has racked up over 1.4 million RSVPs over the past week, with more than a million other people expressing interest in storming Area 51 en masse. “We will all meet up at the Area 51 Alien Center tourist attraction and coordinate our entry. If we naruto run, we can move faster than their bullets,” the post reads. (“Naruto” is a reference to Naruto Uzumaki, an anime character who runs with an awkward stride.) “Lets see them aliens.”

Like the Irma event, it’s an obvious stunt. The viral appeal is equally obvious, as it is fun to imagine a ragtag group of strangers liberating Martians from one of the most notoriously locked-down places in the country, like the plot of a pleasantly stupid action movie.

“Honestly I only RSVP’d for the memes,” one event attendee told me via Facebook Messenger. A Discord chat room created to “strategize” about the attack is filled with memes about adopting aliens and chatter about role-playing. “I think we need a division of vapers. To make an escape cloud,” one participant suggested. “I don’t think no one is going to this,” another said. When I identified myself as a journalist and asked people on the event page whether they’d speak with me, I was repeatedly called a “Fed”—exactly what I deserved for posting on an event page co-created by an account called “Shitposting cause im in shambles.”

But for all the jokes, the event has sparked real-world uptick in interest in traveling to the Area 51 region. People have been calling the local hotel and bar Little A’Le’Inn, for instance, “nonstop, all day,” manager Samantha Travis told The Ringer. “Our rooms have been booked for a few days now.” (Travis noted that the area does have plenty of available campground space.) “I think that people actually might go and have a party,” Jackson Weimer, a University of Delaware student who runs a popular meme account and accepted that I was not a cop, told me. “Some idiots will probably take it too far and try and rush the base but I hope everyone is smart enough to realize when a meme is a meme.” While the vast majority of participants are openly kidding around and not seriously planning to attack a military base, the military itself appears to be treating this as a matter of concern. An Air Force spokesperson told the Washington Post that it is “ready to protect America and its assets.” (The Air Force did not respond to The Ringer’s request for comment.)

Richard Branson Doesn’t Believe in Aliens

by Chris Gardner                     July 16, 2019                     (hollywoodreporter.com)

• Billionaire Richard Branson, 68, (founder of the Virgin Group companies, including Virgin Records, Virgin Atlantic airline, and a spaceflight company called Virgin Galactic) is getting closer and closer to launching himself into the stratosphere aboard a Virgin Galactic rocket. Still, Branson thinks that it is “extremely unlikely” that extraterrestrial beings are visiting the Earth.

• “There’s no question that there are millions of other civilizations out there, but none of them are within reach of Earth,” says Branson. Despite the New York Times reporting on multiple Navy pilots seeing strange objects flying through the skies at impossible speeds, Branson says, “Sadly, when you look closely you’ll find that there’s another explanation for all of them.” “If people had really discovered a UFO, you can’t keep things secret in this day and age. It would be everywhere. And so I don’t think there’s any credible sightings yet. It would be wonderful if it were true.”

[Editor’s Note]   Where have you been, Richard Branson? Yes, there are credible sightings. Yes, it has been possible for the Deep State to keep this a secret. And yes, extraterrestrial beings are visiting the Earth. Perhaps you ought to read the ExoNews, rather than the mainstream news.

Billionaire Richard Branson insists he’s getting closer and closer to launching himself into the stratosphere aboard a Virgin Galactic rocket. (“My trip to space will be very soon,” he teased in May.) But he’s not expecting much traffic once he lifts off.

Despite a May 26 New York Times bombshell report on how multiple Navy pilots have reported (and recorded) strange objects flying through the skies at impossible speeds, Branson, 68, remains skeptical. “Sadly, when you look closely you’ll find that there’s another explanation for all of them in the same way that in the Bermuda Triangle there’s another explanation for all the mysteries [there]. There’s no question that there are millions of other civilizations out there, but none of them are within reach of Earth and therefore, my instinct is: extremely unlikely.”

Branson, who sat down with Rambling Reporter during a June 20 private party to celebrate Virgin Atlantic’s new LAX-Manchester, England route, had another answer as to why UFOs and the prospects of alien life continue to transfix humans.

“I can’t understand why these UFO discussions are always behind closed doors and done in secrecy. It just creates even more suspicion. If people had really discovered a UFO, you can’t keep things secret in this day and age, it would be everywhere. And so I don’t think there’s any credible sightings yet. It would be wonderful if it were true.”

Bud Light Offers to Give Free Beer to ‘Any Alien That Makes it Out’ of Area 51

by Aris Folley                    July 18, 2019                     (thehill.com)

  • In response to an online campaign to “Storm Area 51”, referring to a Nevada military base where some believe the US government holds extraterrestrial craft and possibly ET beings, the beer company, Bud Light, is offering free beer to any aliens that make it out of Area 51.

  • The “Storm Area 51” Facebook event, which was conceived by Matty Roberts as a ‘joke’, has accumulated well over a million people who plan to meet up at the Area 51 Alien Center tourist attraction to coordinate their mass invasion of Area 51 on September 20th.

  • In a series of tweets, the beer maker first joked that it would “… be the first brand to formally announce that we will not be sponsoring the Area 51 raid.” Days later, the company changed its tune, tweeting: “Screw it. Free Bud Light to any alien that makes it out.”

  • Bud Light released a photo of what it referred to as its “Area 51 Special Edition” beer, showing a green and black beer bottle with a label reading: “Greetings Earthlings. This is the famous Area 51.” The beer label reads: “We know of no space beer by any other life form which is brewed and aged to be more refreshing. Our cryogenic aging produces a light bodied space lager with a fresh taste, a crisp, clean finish, and a smooth drinkability.” I then adds, “Take us to your leader. We come in peace.”

  • A spokeswoman for the base said, “[Area 51] is an open training range for the U.S. Air Force, and we would discourage anyone from trying to come into the area where we train American armed forces. The U.S. Air Force always stands ready to protect America and its assets.”

But Light is offering to give free beer to any aliens that make it out of Area 51 in Nevada, as an online campaign to “storm” the site has attracted the attention of millions.

The beer maker made the announcement in a series of tweets about the military base, which conspiracy theorists have long believed to be a place  where government officials hold secret information about extraterrestrial beings.

In one tweet on Monday, the company joked that it would “like to be the first brand to formally announce that we will not be sponsoring the Area 51 raid.”

But later in the week, the company changed its tune, tweeting: “Screw it. Free Bud Light to any alien that makes it out.”

The company then released a photo of what it referred to as its “Area 51 Special Edition” beer.
The photo showed a green and black beer bottle with a label reading: “Greetings Earthlings. This is the famous Area 51.”

“We know of no space beer by any other life form which is brewed and aged to be more refreshing,” the label continued. “Our cryogenic aging produces a light bodied space lager with a fresh taste, a crisp, clean finish, and a smooth drinkability.

“Take us to your leader,” it added. The promotion also featured the message: “We come in peace.”

Belief in Intelligent Life on Other Planets at Record High, UFOs Not Yet a Threat

Listen to “E24 7-9-19 Belief in Intelligent Life on Other Planets at Record High, UFOs Not Yet a Threat” on Spreaker.
by PPD Staff                   June 27, 2019                    (peoplespunditdaily.com)

• A Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey has found that 61% of Americans believe intelligent life exists on other planets. Of those, 31% find it ‘very likely’. This is the highest level of belief measured to date.

• Those who find it ‘very likely’ are equally comprised by Republicans, Democrats, and unaffiliated voters. Men are somewhat more likely than are women to say it is very likely.

• While the 61% who believe in intelligent extraterrestrials do not view UFOs as a threat to national security, 12% do think that ETs pose a threat, and 27% are unsure. Republicans are slightly less likely than Democrats to view UFOs as a threat to national security, while unaffiliated voters are least likely.

• Only 11% of Americans report knowing someone who has seen a UFO, while 80% do not. That 11% translates to more than 36 million adults nationwide. Republicans, Democrats, and unaffiliated voters are equally likely to know someone who has seen a UFO.

Roughly 6 in 10 Americans think it is likely intelligent life exists on other planets and do not view UFOs as a threat to national security, a new poll finds.

A Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds 61% believe intelligent life on other planets is likely, including 31% who find it very likely. That’s the highest level of belief measured to date.

By party, Republicans (31%), Democrats (31%), and unaffiliated voters (32%) are equally likely to believe intelligent life on other planets is very likely. Men (39%) are somewhat more likely than are women (24%) to say it is very likely.

Recently, a number of top U.S. Senators have been briefed on UFO sightings by U.S. Navy pilots. Those experiences have been documented by the History Channel in a new six-part series Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation.

The series follows Luis Elizondo, a former military intelligence official who confirmed the existence the Defense Department’s Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP).

AATIP refers to UFOs as Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP). Mr. Elizondo resigned from the post to investigate the phenomena with his team. That team includes former Blink-182 frontman Tom DeLonge. Steve Justice, who worked at Lockheed Martin Skunk Works, is also on the team.

Chris Mellon, who served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence during the Bill Clinton and George W. Bush administrations, is the team’s government liaison. He has played a key role in setting up those recent briefings and believes UFOs are a serious threat to national security.

But Americans do not view UFOs as a threat, at least as of now.

History Channel Greenlights ‘The Secret Of Skinwalker Ranch,’ Which Delves Into UFO Sightings In The Area

by Rachel Tsoumbakos                    June 24, 2019                        (inquisitr.com)

• A+E Network television distribution and HISTORY (formerly the History Channel) has announced the development of a new UFO/paranormal non-fiction series entitled The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch. It will delve into the unexplained occurrence of alleged paranormal and UFO-related sightings at Skinwalker Ranch for at least 200 years, a 512-acre property located in Utah’s Uinta Basin. The ranch itself gets its name from a Native American legend about a shape-shifting creature referred to as “The Skinwalker”.

• Since the 1950s, the ranch and the area surrounding it has often been referred to as UFO alley and has garnered international media attention. In 1996, billionaire businessman and UFO enthusiast, Robert Bigelow, purchased the property and embarked on his own research into the Skinwalker Ranch. Three years ago, the ranch was sold to an anonymous buyer. Over the years, much study has gone into the area, some of which is believed to have been secretly funded by the US Government. But there has been little official access granted to the media and only a handful of documentary crews have been allowed access inside the ranch.

• Executive producer Kevin Burns, who is also the creator for HISTORY’s The Curse of Oak Island, will be “gaining full and unprecedented access to the ranch as he tries to uncover the truth about this strange location. The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch is being developed by Prometheus Entertainment and Letter 10 Productions. A+E Networks holds worldwide distribution rights.

The creator of The Curse of Oak Island is bringing a new series to History Channel with The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch. The new nonfiction series will delve into the unexplained occurrence of alleged paranormal and UFO-related sightings at the location.

According to Deadline, The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch is currently the working title for this new series.

Executive producer Kevin Burns, who is famous for The Curse of Oak Island and Ancient Aliens, will be “gaining full and unprecedented access to one of the most infamous and secretive hotspots of paranormal and UFO-related activities on earth” as he tries to uncover the truth about this strange location.

Skinwalker Ranch is a 512-acre property located in Utah’s Uinta Basin that has been host to claims of multiple UFO sightings and paranormal activity dating back as much as 200 years. Along with the suspected paranormal activity and allegations of UFO sightings, the ranch has had its fair share of reported cases of animal mutations. The ranch itself gets its name from a Native American legend about a shape-shifting creature referred to as The Skinwalker.

Since the 1950s, the ranch and the area surrounding it has often been referred to as UFO alley and has garnered international media attention. Over the years, much study has gone into the area, some of which is believed to have been secretly funded by the U.S. Government.

Film on Netflix Finds UFO Whistleblower Bob Lazar Seeming Less Crazy Than Ever

Listen to “E20 Film on Netflix Finds UFO Whistleblower Bob Lazar Seeming Less Crazy Than Ever” on Spreaker.
by Vinay Menon                     June 25, 2019                     (thestar.com)

• In 1989, a young scientist working at the top secret Area 51 in Nevada told CBS affiliate KLAS News in Las Vegas that the US government had recovered and were analyzing numerous alien spacecraft at the even more secret S-4 base near Area 51. His name was Bob Lazar. It made global headlines and put Area 51 on the cultural map. Jeremy Corbell tells the story from a perspective of 30 years in his Netflix documentary, Bob Lazar: Area 51 & Flying Saucers.  (see 1:37 minute trailer below)

• Lazar claimed there were nine UFOs at the facility, some of which were operational. He had been hired at S-4 to “back-engineer” the propulsion systems. Powered by Element 115 — which at the time had never been synthesized in a lab — these UFOs allegedly had an antimatter generator that created gravity waves and manipulated the space-time continuum.

• Bob Lazar’s story has not changed in 30 years. To his supporters, family and friends who know him best, Lazar has always been telling the truth. Others refute Lazar’s story and his veracity.

• Says Corbell, “These milestones along the way, no matter how much we nitpick it apart, no matter how much people don’t want to believe, the evidence that he’s telling the truth outweighs the evidence that he’s not.”

• When Lazar first cited Element 115 in 1989, mainstream science had never heard of it. But in 2003 the element was synthesized, added to the periodic table, and later named Moscovium.

• Lazar also says in the film that these UFOs flew “belly-up”, with the ‘bottom’ of the craft pointing at its destination. Recent Navy footage shows UFOs flying exactly as Lazar described: tilted at an angle, rotating, emitting no exhaust, and maneuvering in ways that violate the laws of physics.

• The biggest questions hanging over Lazar concern his pre-UFO past. He claims to have studied at Caltech and MIT. He said his job before S-4 was with the Los Alamos National Laboratory. But investigators could find no record of Lazar at either of the schools or the facility. Lazar says his whistle-blowing led to the government scrubbing him from existence. But wouldn’t he still have physical evidence – diplomas, photos, correspondence, the names of professors or other students and colleagues?

• Investigative reporter George Knapp, who broke the story in 1989 and continues to publicly defend Lazar, found an old phone directory from Los Alamos that listed him. There were also newspaper stories that identified Lazar as a Los Alamos scientist. And some classmates and colleagues have since come forward.

• For decades, the US government’s position on UFOs was blanket denial. But that deep freeze is starting to thaw. The Navy recently issued guidelines for pilots to report sightings, free of stigma and judgment. Congress was recently given a classified briefing on the subject. And U.S. President Donald Trump, to his credit, has been forthright in acknowledging unexplained encounters.

• If Lazar is a hoaxster, as many claim, what did he actually get out of this whistle-blowing? He certainly hasn’t profited. He’s mostly shunned the spotlight and attempted to distance himself from UFOs while coping with relentless attacks on his character and credibility. Still, all these years later there is no persuasive evidence that he is lying. But what if Bob Lazar is telling the truth?

[Editor’s Note]   In response to the Netflix documentary, Dr. Eric W. Davis has been quite outspoken in denouncing Bob Lazar. In a November 2018 conversation with writer, Joe Murgia on George Knapp’s public Facebook page promoting the Lazar documentary, Eric Davis had this to say about Lazar: “[I]t is impossible for Lazar to have any Muscovite isotope in his house nor the gigantic particle accelerators that produced it via the collisions of other large atoms.” (Which Lazar purported to have built.) “… unless the house or their entire property is dozens of square miles in size.” (see Joe Murgia’s article here from www.ufojoe.net)
• Dr. Davis went on to say, “[A] Roadrunner (who ran programs at Area-51 for Los Alamos) told me that he knew Lazar’s female supervisor at Area-51 and had her pull up his personnel file. Lazar worked as a radiation health monitor in the unsecured logistics contractor facility outside of Area-51, so he was never inside that site, and he never held security clearances because he didn’t need them to work in an unclassified area. Lazar made up his entire cockamamie story about the UFO that he saw in a building inside Area-51. He was never exposed to any classified information, facilities, or programs in his work area.”
• “It was impossible for Lazar to do Ph.D. level work at (Los Alamos National Lab),” writes Dr. Davis, “because he only had a high school education with a C average grade, thus he had no education or training to be a scientist. He did not take high school physics. His job was radiation health monitor which did not require security clearances so he did not get access to Area-51 since his workstation was at the off-site logistics support facility which is unclassified. He’s also a convicted felon in the state of Nevada.”
• Dr Davis is an astrophysicist with Austin-based EarthTech International and is affiliated with Tom DeLonge’s “To The Stars Academy”, which some including Dr. Michael Salla have labeled a “limited hangout” effort, influenced by the Deep State government to only disclose a threshold of information on the vast UFO and extraterrestrial presence. Dr. Davis was also a central figure where it was recently revealed that in 1997, Vice Admiral Thomas Wilson, who was the Deputy Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency and Vice Director for Intelligence for the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the time, was flat out denied access to the admitted reverse-engineering of an extraterrestrial craft by a US defense contractor. (see Exoarticle here)
• Stanton Friedman is another critic of Bob Lazar. In a 1997 article on Lazar (see article here), Friedman wrote: “(Lazar) was publicly asked when he got his MS from MIT. He said “Let me see now, I think it was probably 1982.” Nobody getting an MS from MIT would not know the year immediately. He was asked to name some of his profs, He said: “Let’s see now, Bill Duxler will remember me from the physics department at Caltech.” I located Dr. Duxler. He’s a Pierce Junior College physics prof, and never taught at Caltech. Lazar was registered in one of his courses at the same time Lazar was supposedly at MIT! Nobody who can go to MIT goes to Pierce JC, not to mention the rather long commute between LA and Cambridge, Mass.” Later, Friedman would confirm that Lazar would, in fact, go on to work at the Los Alamos National Labs in an unknown capacity, and that this would have required a security clearance just to get inside the building.

The most chilling part of Bob Lazar’s story is that it has not changed in 30 years.

The scientist first made global headlines in 1989 with allegations that were truly out of this world: the U.S. government had recovered alien spacecraft and were analyzing the vessels at a top-secret base in Nevada, close to Area 51.

It was like hearing a whistleblower claim there was a clandestine cistern near Sea World that contained the Loch Ness Monster. Equally unsettling was the matter-of-fact manner in which Lazar detailed his astonishing claims.

In total, Lazar said there were nine UFOs, some of which were operational. He had been hired at the S-4 facility to “back-engineer” the propulsion systems, which were unlike anything on Earth. Powered by Element 115 — which at the time had never been synthesized in a lab — these UFOs allegedly had an antimatter generator that created gravity waves and manipulated the space-time continuum.

Or something like that.

The interviews Lazar did that year with KLAS, a CBS affiliate in Las Vegas, ricocheted around the world, put Area 51 on the pop-cultural map and cemented his status as one of the most polarizing figures in the realm of ufology.

To his supporters, including the family and friends who know him best, Lazar was telling the truth then and he’s telling it now. To critics, including some who otherwise believe aliens are real, Lazar was a terrestrial liar.

If you’re unfamiliar with the story, I encourage you to watch Bob Lazar: Area 51 & Flying Saucers, now streaming on Netflix. As director Jeremy Corbell puts it: “These milestones along the way, no matter how much we nitpick it apart, no matter how much people don’t want to believe, the evidence that he’s telling the truth outweighs the evidence that he’s not.”

That’s an audacious statement.

But the milestones, big and small, are definitely intriguing.

Why Pilots Are Seeing UFOs

by Don Lincoln                      June 21, 2019                      (cnn.com)

• In the summer of 1947, following a widely reported incident of a “flying saucer” over Mt. Rainier in Washington state, people began to believe that these unidentified flying objects (UFOs) were actually alien spacecraft prowling the Earth. Over the past 70 years, more than ten thousand similar reports have been made.

• In 2004, Navy fighter jet pilots operating from the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier reported seeing UFOs off the coast of San Diego. More recently, other military pilots flying off of the East Coast have made similar claims and brought the incidents to the attention of government leaders. Pilots reported both high-altitude radar contacts and something just below the ocean water. But it would be hasty to link these observations together.

• So the question is: “Are these aliens?” Or are these pilots seeing something with a more ordinary explanation. The pilots could have seen a real object that they couldn’t explain, or they could have experienced glitch in the electronics. Given the professionalism of these pilots, it is fairly certain that they did indeed see a UFO. But this is not evidence that the Earth is being visited by aliens. There are no artifacts, no clear photographs, no captured aliens, no alien bodies – nothing to prove it is anything extraterrestrial.

• During World War II, allied pilots reported “foo fighters,” which were thought to be a new weapon employed by the German Luftwaffe – but not extraterrestrials. These modern UFO accounts should certainly be investigated, but this writer would be very surprised if the reports turned out to be anything other than ordinary.

• Still, the writer believes that we should continue to investigate the possibility that these are alien UFOs. After all, if these objects are real and actually move in the ways that the pilots reported, it’s something that any military would want to know about. Being aware of credible threats is one of the military’s key responsibilities.

[Editor’s Note]   This article’s writer’s reaction to the abundance of evidence of the existence of extraterrestrial-controlled UFOs is part mainstream rationalization and part cognitive dissonance. He recognizes only a small portion of the evidence – that which he can refute without looking like a complete fool. The writer completely ignores what pilots have seen with their own eyes, or the obvious advanced technology employed by these UFOs. He cherry picks whatever evidence he can isolate and debunk. He doesn’t even consider the thousands of other UFO sightings and the wealth of insider testimony and documentation that support the ET/UFO phenomenon. His mind simply cannot fathom the possibility that UFOs are real, that extraterrestrials are real, and that the US government has been covering it all up for the past 70 years. Also, he works for the Deep State-controlled media outlet, CNN, and he would like to keep his job. So he toes the Deep State line that there is nothing to see here. Do not believe your own eyes. Instead, believe a media and a government that has been ridiculing honest people and hiding the truth for decades.

For centuries, people have witnessed unexplained lights in the sky and thought that perhaps they might be ghosts or angels. However, it was in the summer of 1947 when a different explanation became popular. Following a widely reported incident over Mt. Rainier in Washington state, people began to believe that these unidentified flying objects (UFOs) are actually alien spacecraft prowling the Earth.

Over the past 70 years, more than ten thousand similar reports have been made. Most reports were eventually debunked as weather balloons, the planet Venus or even oddly shaped clouds. Some accounts simply arose from nothing more than the fevered imaginations of UFO enthusiasts. But not all reports could be dismissed so easily.

In 2004, Navy fighter jet pilots operating from the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier reported seeing UFOs off the coast of San Diego. And, more recently, other military pilots flying with the USS Theodore Roosevelt in the Atlantic made similar claims. The news of those accounts became public knowledge from a story in the New York Times and a new miniseries on the History Channel. These media and entertainment reports brought the incidents to the attention of government leaders.

The question that comes to mind is: “Are these aliens?” Sadly for anyone who is a fan of the television show “The X-Files,” it is simply far, far, more plausible that what these pilots were seeing is something with a more ordinary explanation, whether it be an instrumental glitch or some other unexplained artifact.

Given the professionalism of the pilots who reported the sightings, I am fairly certain that they did indeed see a UFO. The problem is that many people jump directly from the “unidentified” in “UFO” to “flying saucer.” And that’s just too large a jump to be reasonable. There is simply no credible evidence that the Earth is being visited by aliens. There are no artifacts, no clear photographs, no captured aliens, no alien bodies — nothing.

Spruce Pine NC Holds First Alien Expo

by Mike Conley                     June 12, 2019                      (mcdowellnews.com)

• On June 14th and 15th, Spruce Pine, North Carolina (in the mountains near Asheville) hosted its first Spruce Pine Alien Conference and Expo (SPACE). The free festival is expected to attract 10,000 visitors.

• The featured speaker is Mike Bara from the History Channel’s “Ancient Aliens” show. Bara has written a series of books about ancient aliens and their visits to Earth and the Moon, and has made numerous public appearances lecturing on the subjects of space science, NASA, physics, UFOs.

• Also scheduled were a number of panel discussions by local authors, researchers and alien experts. Residents and visitors can tell their own stories about close encounters with unidentified flying objects and strange events at an “open mic”. The weekend also included free concerts and trips to the Dark Sky Observatory at Mayland Community College, a “My Favorite Martian” costume contest, an “E.T.” Children’s Bike Race, and a “Beam Me Up to the Bar” pub crawl.

• Spruce Pine native, Jimmy Hinshaw is the creator and director of SPACE. Hinshaw learned that Mitchell County holds the quartz that is mined for use in telescopes and the space shuttle, including the Palomar Observatory and the Hubble Space Telescope. Also, Mitchell County has experienced more UFO sightings than any other county in North Carolina. So a UFO festival was a natural fit.

• Hinshaw thinks his SPACE event is about having an experience. “If you come dressed up as an alien, you are part of the experience. Having an experience is really important,” says Hinshaw. “Our mountain region is a really special place whether it is Bigfoot, UFOs or ghosts.” “Our mountains are so beautiful. I want to share them with the world and everyone in the galaxy.”

[Editor’s Note]   The Deep State-controlled scientific and academic communities keeps rolling out news releases asserting that there are fewer habitable planets, an even lesser chance of the existence of other intelligent extraterrestrial civilizations, and a zero chance of any alien beings coming to this planet. This is to discourage the public from believing in UFOs and to cover up the very real extraterrestrial presence around our world. Meanwhile, the percentage of the population who believes in UFOs and who welcome extraterrestrial beings to Earth continues to grow. The rise and popularity of UFO festivals is one example. Regardless of the Deep State’s agenda to conceal the presence of alien visitors, the general public seems to instinctively know that there is much more to this than the government is letting on.

Marion has the WNC Bigfoot Festival but now Spruce Pine will have its first alien expo.

On Friday and Saturday, the first ever Spruce Pine Alien Conference and Expo (SPACE) will beam down in downtown Spruce Pine. This multi-dimensional event is free to anyone interested in the unknown and is expected to bring 10,000 visitors from around the United States. The featured speaker will be Mike Bara from the History Channel’s “Ancient Aliens” show, according to a news release.

Bara is a New York Times bestselling author, lecturer and TV personality whose books have sold more than 70,000 copies worldwide. He has written a series of books about ancient aliens and their visits to Earth and the Moon. He has made numerous public appearances lecturing on the subjects of space science, NASA, physics, UFOs and the link between science and spirit, and has been a featured guest on radio programs like “Coast to Coast AM” with George Noory, according to the web site for SPACE.

Also, there will be a number of panel discussions by local authors, researchers and alien experts. During the day, residents and visitors will be allowed an “open mike” to tell their stories about close encounters with unidentified flying objects and strange events.

Events will run from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday with include free concerts and trips to the Dark Sky Observatory at Mayland Community College. Events will run from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday.

For those that love to play the part, there will be a “My Favorite Martian” costume contest for the young and young at heart plus the exciting “E.T.” Children’s Bike Race. Included in the downtown area will be food vendors, comic and book authors and a spacious beer garden, according to the news release.

SPACE will feature a “Beam Me Up to the Bar” pub crawl along with cosplay or an alien costume contest for children and adults. You can come as a character from “Star Wars,” “Star Trek,” the Marvel universe or some other alien. There will also be the “Area 51” Inflatable kids park, according to the web site for the event.

Aliens Need More Attention

by Alligator Editorial Board                  Jun 3, 2019                  (alligator.org)

  • Until recently, the human perception of aliens was these little guys way out in space. This is no longer the case. With a May 26th New York Times article we learned of Navy pilots who witnessed UFOs with “no visible engine or infrared exhaust plumes but could reach 30,000 feet and hypersonic speeds.” Almost every day from the summer of 2014 to March 2015, these bizarre objects flew over the East Coast.

  • The lack of public interest from this report was surprising. What happened to people’s fascination with the unknown? Not a single meme appeared on the internet. Seriously? We didn’t expect much outspoken response from the average person who pays an average amount of attention to the news. But we expected more from the people that are so quick to judge journalism and share news articles with the caption “fake news!!!”

  • The size of the universe is hard to wrap our brains around. We can’t be the only ones. Even if we narrow our universal search just to the Milky Way, there would be around 1 million planets with potential life. The ‘zoo hypothesis’ claims aliens have set us aside in a planetary ‘wilderness’ like captive zoo animals. Or are the ETs waiting for us to reach a technological plateau before they reveal themselves to us?

  • Maybe we humans just refuse to give the extraterrestrials the attention they deserve. They flew all the way here, scared the crap out of some Navy pilot, got The New York Times to write about it, and we still didn’t care.

  • Earth’s hospitality rating could be cosmically low and aliens have better vacation destinations to spend their hard earned fuel traveling to. Why visit a planet whose inhabitants don’t even bat an eye when you visit? Earth could be the Mount Trashmore of the universe with only the crazies wanting to visit this dump.

  • [Editor’s Note]    It’s the crazies who are running this planet.  The rest of the civilized universe is waiting for the humans on Earth to get our act together, expose the treachery that has become our reality, and change our existence by way of higher consciousness.  It is up to us as a sovereign race of beings to reclaim our planet, and not the ETs who, by cosmic law, must only sit back and watch it play out.  Once we have successfully awoken, the patient and benevolent ETs will accept us as a new member of the Galactic family.

Aliens have fascinated humans since the discovery of space. E.T., ALF, Spock and Marvin the Martian are just a few of the extraterrestrial characters from humanity’s imagination. The human perception of aliens goes to show how dedicated we are to the unknown little (or very big) guys way out in space. At least this seemed to be the case until recently.

On May 26, The New York Times published an article reporting Navy pilots witnessed objects with “no visible engine or infrared exhaust plumes but could reach 30,000 feet and hypersonic speeds.”

Almost every day from the summer of 2014 to March 2015, these bizarre objects flew over the East Coast. Although the U.S. Department of Defense did not call this extraterrestrial activity, the lack of public interest from this report was surprising.

What happened to people’s fascination with the unknown?

Not even a meme or blurb in the Twitter-sphere about aliens came about. At least a bit on aliens getting “slept on” would have sufficed. Seriously? Not a single meme from this article? Shame on you Internet. What a wasted opportunity.

Given that the NYT article came out over Memorial Day weekend, people could have been too busy drinking and boating to care too much about the possibility of unidentified flying objects. We didn’t expect much outspoken response from the average person who pays an average amount of attention to the news. But we expected more from the people that are so quick to judge journalism and share news articles with the caption “fake news!!!” Isn’t this the kind of thing people love to make conspiracy theories about?

Former Military Intelligence Official: ‘Low Probablility’ UFO Technology is of This World

by Scott Morefield                     May 31, 2019                     (dailycaller.com)

• Former military intelligence official Luis Elizondo was on the May 31st edition of Fox News “Tucker Carlson Tonight.” Tucker said that where the US government once “dismissed” UFOs as “crank stuff,” they are now “finally admitting that UFO sightings are in fact routine and the government is now being systematic in investigating the question of UFOs.” (see 4:55 minute segment from the show below)

• Carlson asked Elizondo why the government lied for so many years. Elizondo listed several reasons, including lack of technology and the “taboo” surrounding the subject.

• Elizondo described “five observables” that differentiate UFO technology from known technology: Instantaneous acceleration, hypersonic velocities, low observability, transmedium travel, and positive lift or anti-gravity.

• “It is an absolute fact that they are there,” said Elizondo. “Now, what they are, where they are from, who is behind the wheel, we simply don’t know.” When asked the likelihood that the UFOs are foreign technology, Elizondo said, “Very low probability. Look, we have the most sophisticated weapon systems right now on the face of the planet, and we can identify not only a 737 or a MIG 25 or F-22, we can tell you even what airline it is and the difference between the models of aircraft within that type of aircraft. So, I think it’s highly unlikely that a foreign adversary was successful in developing something like this.”

• Carlson asked, “Do you believe… that the U.S. government has in its possession any material from one of these aircrafts?” “I do. Yes,” Elizondo responded. “Do you think the U.S. government has debris from a UFO in its possession right now?” asked Carlson. Elizondo replied, “…[S]imply put, yes.”

Fox News host Tucker Carlson discussed the military’s “different approach” to UFO sightings with former military intelligence official Luis Elizondo on Friday’s edition of “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

Tucker began the segment by describing the U.S. government’s new way of dealing with sightings. Whereas they once “dismissed” them as “crank stuff,” they are now “finally admitting that UFO sightings are in fact routine and the government is now being systematic in investigating the question of UFOs.”

After playing footage of a new History Channel documentary on the subject, the Fox News host introduced Elizondo, a “former military intelligence official and special agent in charge.”

Elizondo described “five observables” that differentiate UFO technology from known technology: Instantaneous acceleration, hypersonic velocities, low observability, transmedium travel, and positive lift or anti-gravity.

“There have been enough sightings over a long enough period that the idea this is a computer glitch, that these are generated somehow by radar systems, that can’t be right, correct?” asked Tucker.

“Tucker, we are well beyond right now establishing whether or not these things exist,” responded Elizondo. “It is an absolute fact that they are there. Now, what they are, where they are from, who is behind the wheel, we simply don’t know. Is it possible these things are a foreign adversarial technology that somehow was developed in secret and we are just now trying to figure these things out? It’s possible. But, there are also other possibilities as well, of what these things could be.”

When pressed to assign a likelihood that the UFOs were foreign technology, Elizondo said, “I think it’s a low probability.”

Fmr. Commander Dave Fravor Says Military Pilots Had Ongoing Encounters With UFOs

by George Knapp and Matt Adams                      May 31, 2019                     (lasvegasnow.com)

• The former Navy fighter pilot who first saw the ‘Tic Tac” UFO in the 2004 incident off of the coast of San Diego, David Fravor, was a speaker at the UFO Festival in McMinnville, Oregon on May 18th.

• Fravor said that he has since spoken with many military pilots who have reported ongoing encounters with unknown craft along the East Coast, from Virginia to Florida.

• Below is an excerpt from Fravor’s on-stage interview with I-Team Chief Reporter George Knapp and filmmaker Jeremy Corbell.    (above image shows Corbell and Fravor riding in the festival parade)

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A former Navy fighter pilot confirms that there have been dozens of recent intrusions of America by highly sophisticated, unknown crafts. Former Commander Dave Fravor, the same pilot who has a close encounter in 2004 with the so-called Tic Tac UFO off the coast of Southern California, told an audience in McMinnville Oregon, that he has since spoken with many military pilots who have reported ongoing encounters with unknown craft along the East Coast, from Virginia to Florida.

Videos of UFO incidents from 2015 were even released by the Pentagon.

Two videos of UFO incidents from 2015 were even eleased by the Pentagon. The I-Team participated in the event with Fravor. Videos of the full interview with Commander Fravor will be posted on social media in the next few days.

In the meantime, here is an excerpt from Fravor’s on-stage interview with I-Team Chief Reporter George Knapp.

Attending the ‘World’s Biggest UFO Conference’ Showed Me It’s a Golden Age for Believers

by Nick Rose                      June 5, 2019                      (vice.com)

• Over the weekend of June 1st, 3,000 people (at least) attended the seventh annual ‘Contact in the Desert’ (CITD), which bills itself as the world’s largest UFO conference. It was again held at the Renaissance Indian Wells Resort & Spa, a four-star hotel in Indian Wells, California (east of Los Angeles). The tinfoil hat and tie-dye shirt wearing ‘conspiracy theorists’ seem to have been replaced by droves of serious truth-seekers, many of whom traveled thousands of miles to deepen their search and knowledge of scientific, personal, and spiritual truths about UFOs.

• CITD is described as a “gateway through which attendees can gain knowledge and the most up-to-date research on UFOs, ancient aliens, human origins, crop circles, government disclosure, extraterrestrial visitation, interplanetary living, contact and abduction experiences. Hosting 50 lectures and 36 workshops by scientists, abductees, ex-military, the guy from Ancient Aliens, and many other stalwarts of the UFO circuit, the CITD conference is like stepping into a YouTube UFO rabbit hole.

• While the US Navy’s recent acknowledgment of flying “tic-tacs” has renewed mainstream interest surrounding UFOs, many of those at CITD considered this to be only a “soft disclosure” by the US military of a larger UFO presence – a small chapter in a quest to identify the source of UFOs that stretches back decades, even millennia.

• We spoke to some of the attendees at Contact in the Desert. (Below are their paraphrased expressions):

o Autumn, 24: UFOs are a combination of military technology, interplanetary visitors, and inter-dimensional beings traveling through wormholes. Knowing about UFOs is better than not knowing. The people that gather at UFO conferences compare it to being at church. Everyone holds a common belief system that other people might not agree with. Everyone is at a different level of discovering the truth. By becoming more informed they’re becoming better people.

o Adam, 28:   We seek connection, understanding, purpose, and ancestry – where do we come from? What are we? Why are we? We are part of something much greater than ourselves. I’m here to explore myself, which is an extension of all this. There are so many lies around the subject of UFOs. In the past, information was heavily controlled. Now, in an age of readily available information, the truth is out there.

o Marc, 51:   I’m really into ancient archaeology and history in general. Add in the alien flavor here and it’s actually quite a blast. No one is judged here. A couple of times in my life, I’ve seen the white orbs and once saw a mysterious black object in the sky. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that UFOs are here. They’ve been saying the same thing for the last 30 years, but I think disclosure is coming.

o Carolyn:   Some say UFOs are us from the future. Others say they’re from an underground civilization. I don’t know. I’m just looking for everybody’s input, what they’ve experienced and learned. Most people are locked into what they’ve been taught. If it is outside of their paradigm they can’t cope. But the way things are going, the government is going to have to give up playing stupid and admit what they know. Disclosure has got to come soon.

o Lara:   The Navy’s recent acknowledgment of UFO sightings is a “soft disclosure”, e.g.: revealing information but never getting to the truth, and controlling what the truth is going to be. The government doesn’t want to freak people out. I’ve seen shiny disks, glowing orbs, a cylinder over Burbank, a cube morphing out of a cloud. I’ve been to ECETI Ranch and seen UFOs come up over the mountains there. They may be aliens from this this dimension, or inter-dimensional beings from a multiverse. I don’t know. I wanted to be among people where I could speak the truth and be myself. People accuse us of dreaming or hallucinating, or being on drugs. I don’t take drugs. I feel like I’m coming into my own being, hopefully a more evolved being.

With the US Navy’s recent acknowledgement of a pesky and persistent flying “tic-tac” problem has come a renewed mainstream interest (and suspicion) surrounding UFOs.

But for the 3,000 attendees of last weekend’s Contact in the Desert, which bills itself as the world’s largest UFO conference, this “soft disclosure” by the US military is just a small chapter in a story that stretches back decades, even millennia, in a quest to identify the unidentified vessels that apparently fill the sky.

The conference website describes it as a “gateway through which attendees can gain knowledge and the most up-to-date research on UFOs, ancient aliens, human origins, crop circles, government disclosure, extraterrestrial visitation, interplanetary living, contact and abduction experiences, and the ‘need to know’”—a hotel buffet of the paranormal.

Walking into the lobby of the Renaissance Indian Wells Resort & Spa was like physically stepping into a late-night YouTube UFO rabbit hole, but with the welcome presence of human interaction, and a programme of 50 lectures and 36 workshops by scientists, alleged abductees, ex-military, the guy from Ancient Aliens, and many other stalwarts of the UFO circuit.

The phenomenon of unidentified flying objects may, by definition, always be at the edge of human knowledge, but the tinfoil hats and tie-dye shirts of yore seem to be long gone. We spoke to some of the truth-seekers at Contact in the Desert, many of whom drove or flew thousands of miles to deepen their knowledge of the unknowable, about their search for scientific, personal, and spiritual truths about UFOs.

Travel Channel: Team Explores the Alien Highway

by Susan Leighton                     May 26, 2019                      (1428elm.com)

• Chuck Zukowski, a former law enforcement officer in Colorado turned UFO-Paranormal investigator. Today he is the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) Deputy Director of Mutilation Investigations. For years, he studied cattle and horse mutilations in Colorado as well as other parts of the country. His research into this phenomenon yielded an interesting concept which is known as the Paranormal Highway of America Theory.

• Zukowski noticed that most animal mutilations and UFO sightings occur on the 37th parallel – on the borders of Utah and Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Kansas and Oklahoma. Along this latitude you’ll find Area 51 and Dulce, NM.

• Zukowski’s theory was highlighted on the Science Channel series, The Unexplained Files in 2014. Now the Travel Channel (which is fast becoming the home of paranormal television) will feature Zukowski and his team on Alien Highway, set to premiere on June 12th. The first episode of Alien Highway tackles the famous Skinwalker Ranch in Utah, where – according to Native American lore – a malevolent witch turns into various animals at will, and may turn out to be alien.

Travel Channel embarks on Alien Highway with Chuck Zukowski, a former law enforcement officer in Colorado turned UFO-Paranormal investigator. The skill set that he acquired while being on the job serve him well as he delves into fringe topics with just the right amount of skepticism.

              Chuck Zukowski

At present, Zukowski is the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) Deputy Director of Mutilation Investigations. For years, he studied cattle and horse mutilations in Colorado as well as other parts of the country. His research into this phenomenon yielded an interesting concept which is known as the Paranormal Highway of America Theory.

This came about after Zukowski began noticing that most mutilations and UFO sightings occur on the 37th parallel. Also known as the UFO Highway, these hot spots can be found on the borders of Utah and Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico as well as Kansas and Oklahoma.

Just exactly what do you find along this particular latitude? Area 51 and the rumored Dulce, NM underground base are just some of the locations on this stretch of road. Zukowski’s theory was highlighted on the Science Channel series, The Unexplained Files in 2014.

Now, according to the press release from Travel Channel, (which is fast becoming the home of paranormal television) Zukowski and his team will be embarking on a new adventure for the network. Alien Highway is set to premiere on June 12 at 10:00 p.m.

Ancient Aliens Celebrates 10 Years of Searching for Extraterrestrials

by Susan Leighton                     May 30, 2019                     (1428elm.com)

• In 2009, the History Channel debuted a television series to prove the existence of an extraterrestrial presence on the Earth. Ten years later, Ancient Aliens is still one of the most watched programs on the History Channel. In fact, the show is so popular that it spawned an Alien Con (a series of conferences in various cities that cater to space exploration themed tv shows) which is widely attended and has attracted celebrities as well as former government officials.

• The genesis of the program was Erich von Däniken’s book, Chariots of the Gods? which makes a case for the ancient astronaut theory by asserting that primitive man made contact with extraterrestrials. These close encounters of the third kind resulted in accelerated human development due to genetic engineering as well as technological advancement.

• The series travels the globe and routinely visits exotic locales to examine proof of extraterrestrial visitation. This year’s season will cover a wide variety of topics ranging from government funding of UFO research to an in-depth look at Egypt’s Great Pyramid chambers. Joining consulting producer Giorgio A. Tsoukalos are David Hatcher Childress, William Henry and Linda Moulton Howe.

Ancient Aliens is one of the most watched programs on the History Channel. In 2009, their quest for proof of extraterrestrial life began. 10 years later, the series is still going strong and ready to start a new season on May 31.
Perhaps one of the most well-known contributors to the show and a consulting producer is Giorgio A. Tsoukalos. He is an outspoken proponent of the ancient astronaut theory and student of Erich von Däniken.

Von Däniken wrote an entire book that has become an integral part of UFO culture called, Chariots of the Gods? which makes a case for the ancient astronaut theory by asserting that primitive man made contact with extraterrestrials. These close encounters of the third kind resulted in accelerated human development due to genetic engineering as well as technological advancement.

Knoxville Set to Host First AlienXPO UFO Convention

by Brandon Paykamian                     May 24, 2019                    (johnsoncitypress.com)

• On Aug. 17 and 18, the Knoxville Convention Center (Tennessee) will host the first AlienXPO convention, featuring panelists, vendors and a space in which like-minded people can talk about their UFO experiences and theories. The topic of extraterrestrials has captured the imagination of millions around the world, from the hardcore UFO enthusiasts and researchers to the curious, bringing them together at conventions across the country.

• “Never before has Knoxville hosted an event that will allow attendees to hear real events concerning extraterrestrial phenomena. There will be people from every walk of life together in one place to hear, share and be floored by the research presented,” Katina Kyle, a producer of the Mysterious Radio podcast and one of the event organizers.

• Guest speakers will include former national news anchor Cheryll Jones; Steven Bassett of Paradigm Research Group; “NASA whistleblower” and retired aerospace worker Ken Johnston Sr.; and alien abductee Travis Walton.

• “Some of these (speakers) are authors, former government contractors, whistleblowers, NASA and aerospace engineers — people that have directly come in contact with extraterrestrial phenomena,” said Kyle. “I just feel like something’s out there, and I’ve always been a skywatcher. The curiosity is there in all of us.” Kyle added, “A lot of these people attend these events because they’re trying to get some kind of answer or resolution to what has happened to them.”

• After years of strange encounters and even some mass UFO sightings like the one in Phoenix in 1997, Kyle said she believes the topic is being taken more seriously. “I’ve never witnessed reporting of a UFO incident or sighting unless it was followed up by a chuckle or a joke or something like that,” she continued. “Now it’s being reported with dead-seriousness.”

KNOXVILLE — When it comes to unidentified flying objects and extraterrestrials, the first topics that often come to mind include the mysteries surrounding Area 51, the 1947 Roswell UFO incident, claims of alien abductions and strange UFO sightings.

For decades, the topic of extraterrestrials has captured the imagination of millions around the world, from the hardcore UFO enthusiasts and researchers to the curious, bringing them together at conventions across the country.

On Aug. 17 and 18, the Knoxville Convention Center will host the first AlienXPO convention to focus on extraterrestrial phenomena. The convention will feature panelists, vendors and a space in which like-minded people can talk about their UFO experiences and theories.

Attendees will also get a chance to learn more about UFO sightings in Tennessee from Angelia Sheer, state director of the Mutual UFO Network.

“Never before has Knoxville hosted an event that will allow attendees to hear real events concerning extraterrestrial phenomena. There will be people from every walk of life together in one place to hear, share and be floored by the research presented,” Katina Kyle, a producer of the Mysterious Radio podcast and one of the event organizers, said in a press release.

Kyle has interviewed some of the foremost UFO researchers in the world. She said she’s always been fascinated with the topic of UFOs and with sci-fi media.

“I just feel like something’s out there, and I’ve always been a skywatcher,” she said. “The curiosity is there in all of us.”

‘We Know UFOs Are Real, But Why Are They Here?’ – Ex-US Defense Official

May 30, 2019                    (sputniknews.com)

• Christopher Melon (pictured above), former deputy assistant Secretary of Defense for intelligence, appeared on Fox News’ “Fox and Friends” show on May 29th to outline the reasons that the US Navy is taking a special interest in pilot testimonies. He argued that US intelligence is well aware of the fact that UFOs exist, and that this is no longer an issue. “The issue is why are they here? Where are they coming from and what is the technology behind these devices that we are observing?”said Mellon.

• Mellon recounted how the UFOs reported by pilots in 2014 and 2015 were doing aerial maneuvers not possible in this physical realm. He cited the speed of a UFO as climbing to 5,000 miles per hour, which could be sustainable for only about an hour by an aircraft in the air. Whereas those UFOs witnessed would be flying all day long, according to the “mystified” pilots.

• These UFOs were written off as highly classified ‘drones’ until a Super Hornet pilot described a near collision with a UFO, which he described as a ‘sphere encasing a cube’. The pilot’s public statement prompted an official report to be filed. Mellon said that these UFOs operate in and around US military facilities. This poses a safety issue and a national security issue.

• Mellon noted that the US is hardly the only country to have interactions with the objects in question. He is deeply frustrated by the fact that the government is taking a cavalier attitude and demonstrating an unwillingness to act on the public concerns. So the only way to get it rolling is to release the information to the public in the form of his new show and television interviews. Mellon is currently partaking in a new History Channel series called “Unidentified”, which will expound on the widely reported alien spaceship sightings. “We are giving military personnel on the front line a voice”, Mellon said. “We are helping them get out the message of what it is they are encountering and why they are so concerned about it”.

• Meanwhile, the US media increasingly reports sightings of enigmatic flying objects capable of performing maneuvers seemingly impossible for naval aviation pilots that operate over the country’s eastern seaboard, among other areas.

In the wake of a bombshell report detailing Navy pilots’ regular encounters with unidentified flying objects in 2014 and 2015, Christopher Melon, former deputy assistant Secretary of Defense for intelligence, has issued a comment on the subject asserting that the issue has long been there and the government needs to finally resolve it.

Mellon, who is currently partaking in a new History Channel series called “Unidentified”, which will expound on the widely reported alien spaceship sightings discussed at length in a recent New York Times article.

Appearing on “Fox and Friends” on Wednesday, Mellon, who has previously extensively covered the topic, outlined the reasons that the Navy is taking a special interest in pilot testimonies. He argued that the intelligence is well aware of the fact that UFOs exist, adding that this is no longer an issue.

“The issue is why are they here? Where are they coming from and what is the technology behind these devices that we are observing?” he posed a question.

According to Mellon, they have plausible clues that the controversial objects reported by Navy pilots in 2014 and 2015 were doing something that isn’t at all possible in this physical realm. As an example, he cited the speed of an object being reported as climbing to 5,000 miles per hour, which could be sustainable for only about an hour by an aircraft in the air, whereas those witnessed would be flying all day long, according to the “mystified” pilots.

There was quite some fear, meanwhile, which replaced the previously mentioned mystification after a Super Hornet pilot described his near collision with an object, which he described as a sphere encasing a cube. His public statement also prompted an official report to be filed, with the incident shattering a previous theory suggested by pilots that the objects were a part of some sort of extremely classified drone operation.

“These are reactions between intelligently controlled vehicles operating in and around US military facilities, hence the concern”, Mellon addressed the issue, continuing: “One: there have been near mid-air collisions so there is a safety issue. Two, there is a vital national security issue which is that our sovereignty is being violated by vehicles of unknown origin”, Mellon stated.

Tom DeLonge: America Has Been Investigating UFOs for Years. Time For the Rest of Us to Catch Up

by Tom DeLonge                     May 30, 2019                     (newsweek.com)

• When Tom DeLonge was touring with his band, Blink-182, during the early 1990’s, he read Timothy Good’s book, ‘Above Top Secret’, which detailed a historical chronology of UFO events. Learning that UFOs and extraterrestrials were for real changed the course of Tom’s life. He became consumed with it. ‘Who or what are they? Who actually knows the facts and holds the most credible evidence?’ He began to weed through what was real and what was disinformation.

• Tom studied accounts of UFOs during World War II, and the societal changes that began in 1947 when thousands of people began to witness ‘flying saucers’ in the sky. He saw how the public accepted the government’s cover-up of the phenomenon with decades of denial and ridicule. Still, Tom’s conclusion was that it would be naïve to think that UFOs don’t exist. “[T]he more I’ve been able to share my ideas with people I respected, the more sense of community I felt. And I want other people to feel that way too,” says DeLonge.

• More recently, Tom began regular communications with people at the highest levels of our intelligence agencies and military branches, and was encouraged to create the To The Stars Academy of Arts & Science (TTSA). TTSA is an organization that promotes the truth about UFOs and the extraterrestrial presence through a combination of scientific research, entertainment, and innovations in aerospace engineering, utilizing as members some of the most experienced, connected, and passionately curious minds from the U.S. intelligence community that have been operating under the shadows of top-secrecy for decades.

• TTSA has now partnered with HISTORY (formerly the History Channel) to produce “Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation TM.” This six part, non-fiction series premiering on Friday, May 31 st will give the public an opportunity to see newly authenticated evidence and footage; learn the common characteristics of how these UAP move and operate; and see interviews from eyewitnesses and former military personnel who have never spoken out before. This series will hopefully spark the public to ask questions and look for answers. This information impacts not only our perception of who we are as human beings but also our understanding of where we’re going and how we treat each other. And that might be the greatest change of all.

About 25 years ago, I read a non-fiction book about UFOs while on tour with Blink-182 that blew my mind.
This was a time before smartphones, so being on a tour bus for weeks on end meant we were forced to keep ourselves occupied if we were bored. I chose to read. Timothy Good’s Above Top Secret detailed a historical chronology of UFO events in conjunction with domestic and foreign space programs and militaries. It wasn’t just a solitary event, but a chain of occurrences. I remember repeating as I was reading, “Oh my god, this is massive.” I probably annoyed the hell out of my bandmates.

Before reading that book, I thought the idea of E.T. and unknown flying vehicles were confined to the realm of science-fiction, which I’d always loved as a kid. But I had no idea these crafts were real and in fact interacting with nuclear missiles, NASA missions and facilities, astronauts, and even civilians.

The book opened my eyes to the enormity of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP), filling me with curiosity and propelling me on a hunt for knowledge that quite literally changed the course of my life. I became consumed with questions about UAP: How do they travel at such incredible speeds? Who or what are they? Who actually knows the facts and holds the most credible evidence?

I followed many paths of discovery in the field—some peculiar, but all exciting. Back then, I was young and naive, and had trouble separating fact from fiction. As any serious researcher will tell you, UAP and its attendant fields are filled with truly crazy misinformation from countless unreliable characters.

As a result, I undertook the project of seeking out legitimate sources, and learned that for most of history, people thought it was crazy to even think about the possibility of UAP. Things briefly started to change after 1947, when numerous people, both pedestrian and high-level military and government personnel, started witnessing unidentified objects in the sky; military pilots, U.S. presidents, scientists, doctors, lawyers, farmers, politicians, teachers, and children.

UFOs Exist and Everyone Needs to Adjust to That Fact

by Daniel W. Drezner                      May 28, 2019                     (washingtonpost.com)

• UFOs have historically been associated with crackpot ideas like Big Foot or conspiracy theories involving crop circles, and consistently dismissed. But as more military pilots come forward to describe encounters with unidentified flying objects, government officials reluctantly acknowledge that UFOs (or “UAP”s) do exist. At this point, authorities are trying to destigmatize the reporting of UFOs while adamantly refusing to say that these UFOs are extraterrestrial in origin.

• Alexander Wendt and Raymond Duvall authored a paper entitled: “Sovereignty and the UFO”, published in the journal Political Theory, which argues that state sovereignty is “constituted and organized by reference to human beings alone.” They argue that the real reason UFOs have been dismissed is because it challenges the worldview in which human beings are the most technologically advanced life-forms. “UFOs have never been systematically investigated by science or the state, because it is assumed to be known that none are extraterrestrial. Yet in fact this is not known, which makes the UFO taboo puzzling given the ET possibility.” So if humankind is the most technologically advanced life form, then in order to preserve this premise, UFOs cannot be of an extraterrestrial origin. The UFO can be “known” only by not asking what it is.”

• Wendt and Duvall’s paper makes a persuasive case that UFOs certainly exist, even if they are not necessarily ETs. For them, the key is that no official authority takes seriously the idea that UFOs can be extraterrestrials. As they note, “considerable work goes into ignoring UFOs, constituting them as objects only of ridicule and scorn.”

• In recent years, however, there has been a subtle shift that poses some interesting questions for Wendt and Duvall’s argument. Discussion of actual UFOs has become the topic of serious mainstream media coverage. The government acknowledged the existence of a Pentagon program to study UFOs. A noted astrophysicist claimed that the ‘asteroid’ Oumuamua could be of artificial construction relying on a solar sail. Military pilots came forward in December 2017 and then again in May 2019 relating their encounters with UFOs on both the West and East Coasts of the US. No one in the Defense Department is saying that the objects are extraterrestrial, though even skeptics cannot completely rule out the possibility that extraterrestrial activity is involved.

• So the government and mainstream media are not behaving as Wendt and Duvall would predict. Politico’s Bryan Bender reported that, “The U.S. Navy is drafting new guidelines for pilots and other personnel to report encounters with ‘unidentified aircraft,’ a significant new step in creating a formal process to collect and analyze the unexplained sightings — and destigmatize them.” Deanna Paul of the Washington Post wrote, “Luis Elizondo, a former senior intelligence officer, told The Post that the new Navy guidelines formalized the reporting process, facilitating data-driven analysis while removing the stigma from talking about UFOs, calling it ‘the single greatest decision the Navy has made in decades.”

• As the stigma against the existence of UFOs wears off, will Earth governments face the possibility of the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations as the origin of these unexplained UFOs?

The term “UFO” automatically triggers derision in most quarters of polite society. One of Christopher Buckley’s better satires, “Little Green Men,” is premised on a George F. Will-type pundit thinking that he has been abducted by aliens, with amusing results. UFOs have historically been associated with crackpot ideas like Big Foot or conspiracy theories involving crop circles.

The obvious reason for this is that the term “UFO” is usually assumed to be a synonym for “extraterrestrial life.” If you think about it, this is odd. UFO literally stands for “unidentified flying object.” A UFO is not necessarily an alien from another planet. It is simply a flying object that cannot be explained away through conventional means. Because UFOs are usually brought up only to crack jokes, however, they have been dismissed for decades.

One of the gutsiest working paper presentations I have witnessed was Alexander Wendt and Raymond Duvall presenting a draft version of “Sovereignty and the UFO.” In that paper, eventually published in the journal Political Theory, Wendt and Duvall argued that state sovereignty as we understand it is anthropocentric, or “constituted and organized by reference to human beings alone.” They argued that the real reason UFOs have been dismissed is because of the existential challenge that they pose for a worldview in which human beings are the most technologically advanced life-forms: “UFOs have never been systematically investigated by science or the state, because it is assumed to be known that none are extraterrestrial. Yet in fact this is not known, which makes the UFO taboo puzzling given the ET possibility…. The puzzle is explained by the functional imperatives of anthropocentric sovereignty, which cannot decide a UFO exception to anthropocentrism while preserving the ability to make such a decision. The UFO can be “known” only by not asking what it is.”

When Wendt and Duvall made this argument, there were a lot of titters in the audience. I chuckled, too. Nonetheless, their paper makes a persuasive case that UFOs certainly exist, even if they are not necessarily ETs. For them, the key is that no official authority takes seriously the idea that UFOs can be extraterrestrials. As they note, “considerable work goes into ignoring UFOs, constituting them as objects only of ridicule and scorn.”

Unidentified Review: History Series Takes UFOs to a New Level of Credibility

by Alejandro Rojas                    May 20, 2019                    (denofgeek.com)

• ‘History’ (formerly ‘The History Channel’) is set to debut its new six-part docuseries entitled: ‘Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation’. The show basically follows the ongoing investigations by Tom DeLonge’s ‘To The Stars Academy of Arts and Sciences’ (TTSA), and introduce the Academy members as credible investigators and witnesses. With a former career intelligence officer (Luis Elizondo), a former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence (Chris Mellon), and multiple jet fighter pilots (David Fravor, et al), it becomes clear that research into what the hell UFOs are is more legit than ever.

• TTSA was formed in the fall of 2017. Elizondo left his Pentagon position and joined the TTSA team saying that the Department of Defense (DoD) was not taking the subject of UFOs seriously enough. They made a name for themselves in December 2017 when their efforts resulted in the New York Times revealing the Pentagon’s ‘Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program’ (AATIP) and releasing Navy cockpit video of UFO, including the infamous “Tic Tac” UFO from 2004. History’s Unidentified intends to provide insight into AATIP investigations and TTSA’s more recent discoveries.

• The first episode will review in detail this 2004 incident where F-18 fighter jets from the US Navy’s Nimitz carrier group off of San Diego encountered the remarkable maneuvering of a 40-foot long ‘Tic Tac’ UFO. The wingmate of the F-18 piloted by Commander David Fravor when they encountered the ‘Tic Tac’ UFO – who has declined any public interviews thus far – will give her own testimony in the initial episode regarding the incident.

• Unidentified has a similar feel as other investigation focused reality shows. But instead of wild speculation or leaps in logic that strain credulity, Unidentified offers a more grounded perspective on a topic that the general public typically regarded as “out of this world.”

• “Both Chris Mellon and Lou Elizondo are closely involved with what’s going on inside the Pentagon over the course of this last year,” said Executive Producer Anthony Lappe. “They consider that Navy announcement (on new UFO reporting procedures) to be a huge victory for sort of everything they’ve been doing behind the scenes and we were able to chronicle that.”

• Another episode will focus on the 1980 UFO incident on a U.S Air Force base in the Rendlesham Forest, in England. Elizondo says that there will be other astounding cases presented from the AATIP files that have not yet been made public.

The first episode of Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation on History Channel uses a familiar format to deliver an unprecedented investigation. UFO reality shows have come and gone, but what makes Unidentified unique is the credibility of the show’s investigators and witnesses. From a former career intelligence officer, a former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence, and multiple jet fighter pilots, it becomes clear that research into what the hell UFOs are is more legit than ever.

Unidentified follows the ongoing UFO investigations of Luis Elizondo and To The Stars Academy (TTSA). Elizondo is a former intelligence officer who resigned in October 2017. That same month, former Blink-182 frontman Tom DeLonge announced the creation of TTSA, an organization focused on researching the unknown with an impressive list of members. Elizondo was on that list. During the press conference announcing TTSA, Elizondo claimed he left his job at the Pentagon because one of his posts entailed researching military UFO cases and he felt the Department of Defense (DoD) was not taking the subject seriously enough.

The following December, the New York Times, followed by Politico and The Washington Post, published articles providing more insight into Elizondo’s former UFO program, called the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP). The story garnered headlines around the world and created public interests into the nature of the secretive Pentagon project. History’s Unidentified intends to provide insight into AATIP investigations and TTSA’s more recent discoveries.

Unidentified will be a six-part series. The first episode introduces us to the TTSA team members and covers a fantastic UFO encounter as told by the witness, all of whom were on active duty with the Navy when the contacts took place.

The New York Times article that broke the AATIP story also included details about one of the most exciting AATIP cases. Over several days in November of 2004, the Nimitz Aircraft Carrier Strike Group captured objects on radar that performed unusual maneuvers. During a training exercise, several F-18 jet fighters were diverted to get a closer look at one of the objects. Commander David Fravor got the best view. He describes seeing an object that looked like a 40-foot-long white Tic Tac that performed remarkable maneuvers. This case, also covered by Den of Geek, is reviewed in detail in the first episode of Unidentified.

UFOs Are Coming, and Rocker Tom DeLonge is Ready

by Peter Sblendorio                   May 27, 2019                   (nydailynews.com)

• Tom DeLonge remembers that his early interest in UFOs led to speculation regarding his standing with his rock band, Blink-182. “It was funny because when I first started dealing with all these three-letter agencies, and groups within the military industrial complex, I remember I couldn’t tell my bandmates in Blink,” DeLonge recalls. “I think there was a great level of frustration with them because they wanted to go record and tour, and I was in the middle of setting up the foundations to create a vehicle for the disclosure of the UFO phenomenon.” “I remember that it started leaking out that I wasn’t focused on my band, and that I quit my band to chase aliens and all these just absurd things, but I couldn’t talk about it … I had to kind of go back to my roots as a punk rocker and not really care what anyone thinks.”

• Talking about UFOs is no small thing to Tom DeLonge whose company, ‘To The Stars Academy’ strives to increase understanding about phenomena such as unidentified flying objects, is at the center of a new History series, ‘Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation.’ “To The Stars Academy is very much involved in the congressional side of things,” says DeLonge. “My goal was simply to educate and disseminate the information and to apply pressure on the congressional offices to appropriate the correct funding mechanisms and to create the correct national security policy around this issue.” (see 42 second trailer for “Unidentified: America’s UFO Investigation” below)

• DeLonge, 43, has long been fascinated by UFOs, and his involvement with the matter has only grown as he’s learned more about it. DeLonge said the public would be surprised to learn that the United States has worked on the UFO topic with countries considered to be adversaries. He says how the UFO situation is handled will “make or break our future.”

Talking about UFOs is no small thing to longtime Blink-182 rocker Tom DeLonge.

That’s why the singer, whose company To The Stars Academy strives to increase understanding about phenomena such as unidentified flying objects, is at the center of a new History series, “Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation.”

“To The Stars Academy is very much involved in the congressional side of things,” DeLonge told the Daily News.

“National security policy, making sure that the elected leadership of the country gets the correct briefings, gets the correct information, creating a formal reporting mechanism and standard for these machines that are witnessed in the sky. This show is a really great way to get the public to understand the hardcore, tangible, real evidence.

“My goal was simply to educate and disseminate the information and to apply pressure on the congressional offices to appropriate the correct funding mechanisms and to create the correct national security policy around this issue.”

The series, which premieres Friday and was executive produced by DeLonge, features interviews with former government and military officials who discuss some of the shocking sensations they witnessed while working in high-ranking positions. Among those who took part are Luis Elizondo, the former director of the secretive and now defunct Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, and Christopher Mellon, who served as the nation’s Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense and Intelligence.

“Unidentified” promises to feature government video of UFOs and recently authenticated evidence.

Dan Aykroyd Says Aliens Are Here – and They Want Sex With Human Women

by Vicki Newman                   May 17, 2019                        (mirror.co.uk)

• Actor and writer, Dan Aykroyd, 66, claims to have seen four UFOs during his life, and that 60% of the people already “know it’s true” that aliens and UFOs exist. “The proof is going to start dribbling out,” says Aykroyd.

• According to Aykroyd, most extraterrestrials pop by the Earth just to “look at this beautiful planet”. But the SNL/movie star is concerned that some aliens want to harm people and use them as “lab rats”. ET’s “would love to impregnate a [human] woman and produce a hybrid baby, this is what they’re up to here.”

• Former model and ex-wife of Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood, Jo Wood, 64, also witnessed a UFO with Ron in Brazil. “I went outside and there over the sea was this shape that had lights that just came down and reflected onto the sea.” She said the lights shot to one side before disappearing quickly. The next day’s newspaper revealed that hundreds of people had also seen this UFO. Jo Wood saw another UFO from her plane as she was travelling with her son, Tyrone. Looking out of the plane’s window, they could see a blue-green orb. “I’m fascinated by the universe and by space,” Jo said.

Ghostbusters star Dan Ackroyd (sic) is convinced aliens are already here – and that they want to have sex with human women.

The actor says he’s seen four UFOs and that most extraterrestrials who pop by Earth are just tourists coming to “look at this beautiful planet”.

However, the star is concerned that some aliens want to harm people and use them as “lab rats”.

And Dan is convinced that 60% of us already “know it’s true”.

He told the Daily Star : “The proof is going to start dribbling out. The aliens are interested in your ova, your femininity, your reproductive parts, your DNA.

“They would love to draw blood and fluid and would love to impregnate a woman and produce a hybrid baby, this is what they’re up to here.”

He added: “I believe some aliens are here to harm us. There are many that come here with nefarious purposes and want to use us as lab rats.”

       Jo and Ronnie Wood, 1985

The Blues Brothers actor, 66, isn’t the only star who has spoken about their alien encounters.

Former model and ex-wife of Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood, Jo Wood, has been open about her belief in the extra terrestrial too.

She recently appeared on This Morning to talk about her new podcast Alien Nation.

Jo said her fascination with the extraterrestrial started at around age 12 when her dad was reading a magazine called ‘Is God an Astronaut?’

Jo, 64, told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield about the time she saw a UFO in Brazil.
