• The report claims that the Department of Defense Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) a program that was run by military intelligence official, Luis Elizondo, on the fifth floor of the Pentagon’s C Ring, had recovered “unknown alloys” believed to have come from a UFO that had been tested and found to have properties unknown to science, and are thus materials “not from this earth”.
• Luis Elizondo was interviewed in February by Alejandro Rojas, the host of the UFO Congress, the world’s biggest UFO conference, in Phoenix, Arizona. Rojas said, “I can tell you it is not a (normal) alloy like the New York Times claims.” Elizondo stated that it is a ‘meta material’ with strange isotopic values. A ‘meta material’ is a material made from assemblies of multiple elements fashioned from composite materials such as metals or plastics, that are engineered to have a property that is not found in nature.
• “The question is do they come from outer space or inner space or somewhere in between. I don’t know,” said Elizondo. “I think it is really, really unlikely to come from another country like Russia or China. Some people claim the materials were provided by UFO investigators, and others believe they were recovered by the government.
• The bulk of the money allocated by the DoD for the Pentagon program reportedly went to Bigelow Aerospace in Las Vegas, run by billionaire US businessman Robert Bigelow. Bigelow’s Las Vegas headquarters was modified to accommodate the storage of these alien materials. During an interview with prime time CBS current affairs show 60 Minutes in May 2017, Bigelow revealed that intelligent aliens are secretly living on Earth, and the government knows it.
• No images have surfaced of the alleged alien material, nor any details of where the objects were found, or how many items there have, or whether they have been tested, or what has ultimately happened to them.
• [Editor’s Note] See 35:55 YouTube video below of Luis Elizondo answering a series of questions that was provided to the UFO Congress in February 2018.
Substances allegedly recovered from a UFO were found to be made of materials “not from this earth”, it has staggeringly been claimed. A top UFO expert told Express.co.uk he has been assured that the material has been tested and has been found to have inexplicable properties.
In December, a New York Time article revealed details of a top-secret £16 million US Pentagon study into the potential threat posed by UFOs.
The report claimed the Department of Defense (DoD) Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Programme (AATIP) even recovered “unknown alloys” believed to have come from a UFO that had been tested and found to have properties unknown to science.
The project was run by military intelligence official, Luis Elizondo, on the fifth floor of the Pentagon’s C Ring.
He has revealed two former classified videos of suspected UFOs that were looked at, but nothing to confirm the metal actually exists.
However, he has given an exclusive interview to the organisers of the UFO Congress, which is the world’s biggest UFO conference, and took place in Phoenix, Arizona, this month.
Alejandro Rojas, host of the UFO Congress said Mr Elizondo had told him more about the metal during the exclusive interviews that were screened at the event.
Mr Rojas said: “I can tell you it is not an alloy like the New York Times claims.
“I shared at our conference that Elizondo has told me it is a ‘meta material’ with strange isotopic values indicating it is not from earth.”
A metamaterial is a material engineered to have a property that is not found in nature. They are made from assemblies of multiple elements fashioned from composite materials such as metals or plastics.
No other details have so far surfaced, with some people claiming the materials were provided by UFO investigators, and others believing they were recovered by the government.
Mr Elizondo said in the interview: “The question is do they come from outer space or inner space or somewhere in between. I don’t know.
“The data we have been seeing is so advanced it is hard enough for us to replicate our observations with our understanding of quantum mechanics. But for this type of technology to be available when we first started seeing it, I think is beyond improbable, I’m not going to say impossible, but I think it is really, really unlikely to come from another country like Russia or China.
“It leads to the next quest if it is not ours and not theirs, then whose is it?
“I don’t know whose it is and that is why we are asking the questions and why we did what we did for the last 10 years and why we need to continue doing what we are doing because we need to ask those questions.
“We don’t know who they belong to, we don’t know who they are or what they are, but we know they are real.”
The bulk of the money allocated by the DoD for the project reportedly went via a contract to Bigelow Aerospace in Las Vegas, run by billionaire US businessman Robert Bigelow, who is also working with NASA to create a new expandable spacecraft.
Last May, Mr Bigelow stunned the world by declaring during an interview with prime time CBS current affairs show 60 Minutes intelligent aliens are secretly living on Earth, and the government knows.

• This article highlights a video interview of Robert Merritt by “Dark Journalist” Daniel Liszt. In the 1970’s, Merritt was the sleazy guy that politicians and alphabet agencies – and even Richard Nixon – would go to when they needed to instigate a smear campaign against a political rival or faction.
• Merritt says he met with President Nixon three times in a deep underground location beneath the White House. In the first meeting, Nixon read him a letter stating that U.S. was protecting an extraterrestrial being at Los Alamos and that scientists were able to obtain “advanced technology and science” from the being. Nixon then sealed the letter in a “time capsule” that he hid somewhere in the White House.
• In another meeting, Merritt says Nixon taped a copy of the letter to Merritt’s stomach and told him to deliver it to National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger and not to tell anyone about it. Merritt says co-author Douglas Caddy has recently notified the National Archive that Nixon’s so-called time capsule is still in the White House and that Caddy will reveal the location if the National Archive will agree to publicly divulge the letter.
• Merritt was also a key witness in the Watergate scandal, as told in his book, ‘Watergate Exposed: A Confidential Informant Tells How The Burglars Were Set Up and Reveals Other Government Dirty Tricks, by Robert Merritt, As Told To Douglas Caddy, Original Attorney for the Watergate Seven’. Merritt was an informant for the White House’s “Huston Plan” – a 43-page plan by Nixon aide Tom Charles Huston in 1970 which outlined how the White House would use domestic burglary, illegal electronic surveillance, and opening the mail of “left-wing radicals” and “anti-war protesters” to find cause to arrest and detain them. During this operation, Merritt overheard a discussion of the Watergate break-in while illegally tapping a phone call.
• Below is a 3:05 minute introductory video, and a 1:14:41 minute video of the full interview.
As someone with an interest in history, politics, conspiracy theories and the possible existence of alien life and extraterrestrial contact with humans, this headline and follow-up was guaranteed to catch my eye: “Nixon time capsule will reveal the existence of extraterrestrials. A Huston Plan Informer revealed that President Nixon hid a time capsule in the White House that contains an explosive spreading about ETs / UFOs.”
The link in the post pointed to an episode of “Dark Journalist”, a video series by Daniel Liszt, an independent reporter, filmmaker and the “Dark Journalist.” According to the write up, Liszt interviews Robert Merritt, whose connection to Richard Nixon and the Watergate scandal is told in “Watergate Exposed: A Confidential Informant Tells How The Burglars Were Set Up and Reveals Other Government Dirty Tricks, by Robert Merritt, As Told To Douglas Caddy, Original Attorney for the Watergate Seven.” In previous interviews, Merritt has said that he had learned about plans for the break-in from James Reed, a.k.a. Rita Reed, a drag queen who worked on the switchboard at the Columbia Plaza Apartments, just blocks from the Watergate Hotel, where he overheard the planned break-in being discussed while secretly listening in on a telephone conversation. Merritt apparently made this contact as an informant for the Huston Plan.
The Huston Plan referred to was a 43-page report of proposed security operations put together by White House aide Tom Charles Huston in 1970 at the request of President Richard Nixon, who wanted more control over domestic intelligence on so-called left-wing radicals and the anti-war movement. During the 1973 Watergate hearings, the Huston Plan was revealed to have called for domestic burglary, illegal electronic surveillance, the opening the mail of domestic “radicals” and the creation of camps in Western states where anti-war protesters would be detained.
As a side note, Saturday Night Live parodied the Huston Plan in a second season episode (1977) hosted by actor Broderick Crawford, who had starred in the movie All the King’s Men as the ambitious and ruthless politician, Willie Stark. The Watergate scandal and exposure eventually became a book and movie called All the President’s Men. Coincidences?
Where were we? Oh, yeah, the time capsule. In what appears to be a startling new twist, Merritt reveals to Liszt that he met three times with President Nixon in a “deep underground location beneath the White House. In the first, Nixon read him a letter stating that U.S. was protecting an extraterrestrial being and that scientists at Los Alamos were able to communicate with it and obtain “advanced technology and science.” Nixon then sealed the letter in a “time capsule” that he hid somewhere in the White House.

• UFOs were once a conspiracy theory. Now they’re not. The idea that we have been visited and are currently being visited by extraterrestrial beings is becoming more of a reality. The implications are far reaching – from science and technology, to human history, to religion. How will our world religions view extraterrestrial visitation?
• Prior to the Roman Empire, the world’s ancient cultures were predominantly “spiritual,” with the same core message and the same guidelines for living life. The predominant theme in ancient spirituality was that a large portion of our world is non-material, but rather spiritual in nature. There was no fear of hell, and no ‘wrath of God’. There was a general recognition that we are more than just our physical body, and that non-material ‘spiritual’ forces play an important role in what we call our physical world.
• Ancient “spiritual” cultures, such as Atlantis, ancient Egypt, Sumer and Babylon, all took for granted mysterious flying objects and people from other planets. Native American cultures always maintained the existence of the ‘Star People’.
• When religion was born it seemed to be a man-made force that set out to conquer the world, killed and forced it’s own beliefs onto others, and eventually wiped out the last traces of spirituality. Religion has now turned into a business, a place of brain-washing, a tool used to explain and justify war, which is completely contradictory to spirituality.
• Jon Shelby Spong, a retired American Catholic Bishop, said that, “religion is … in the guilt-producing, control business.” Modern day religion seems to disguise itself publicly with an image of good-will while practicing deceit behind closed doors. Religion, for the most part, represents not God but greedy interests that capitalize on the innocence of the human soul.
• A 2002 Roper Poll asked, “Would an announcement of extraterrestrial Intelligence precipitate a religious crisis?” The answer was a resounding “no.” The survey concluded that most religious people would not have a breakdown in faith, or even fear any type of extraterrestrial contact.
• The Vatican has actually been quite open about extraterrestrial contact over the past few years, which means it’s followers will be the same way. Vatican astronomer Guy Consolmagno said that humankind is facing a future discovery of extraterrestrial intelligence. Monsignor Corrado Balducci has stated that contact between humans and extraterrestrials has already happened.
• Chapter One of the Mormon Book of Moses finds God saying, “worlds without number have I created …and the first man of all men, which is many, have I called Adam.” God is telling Moses that there are other worlds and other people on those worlds.
• Judaism references at least 18,000 other worlds, according to the Talmud. There is mention in one Kabbalistic book of a planet called Meroz, where extraterrestrial creatures exist.
• While Islam (Muslim) takes no firm stance on extraterrestrial contact, the Koran does imply that God is “Lord of all the worlds.” In the 1930’s, Islamic Scholar Abdullah Yusuf Ali commented, “…it is reasonable to the millions of heavenly bodies scattered throughout space.” Islam does have the concept of the ‘jinn’. According to the Koran, the jinn occupy other dimensions and parallel worlds, along with humans and angels. They are one of the three sentient creations of God.
• Buddhism has long understood that life is present throughout our reality, and it has no problem with extraterrestrial contact. Buddhist scriptures depict Buddhas and bodhisattvas from many different world systems throughout the universe. Hinduism and Sikhism closely correlate with Buddhism with regard to extraterrestrials.
• For the most part, we should take comfort in knowing that we’ve probably been visited by extraterrestrials for longer than we know. If there were to be some sort of physically destructive ‘attack,’ it would have already happened by now. Ironically, ETs may be reluctant to make their presence known to humans on Earth. The human race has a tendency to reject that which is different, instantly categorizing them as demons.
UFOs (doesn’t always mean extraterrestrials), extraterrestrials, and life on other planets have been a hot topic for decades. These are the topics that receive some of the highest search engine results every single year on the internet, which is no surprise, as we’re naturally inclined to ponder about the unknown, or, as more people are starting to find out, the known.
At the end of 2017, the United States government officially admitted to the existence of UFOs with the release of previously classified footage of two navy pilots scrambling to intercept one (a UFO), with more footage on the way. Luis Elizondo, a former high ranking military intelligence officer who was in-charge of the Pentagon’s recently disclosed UFO program, made an appearance on mainstream national news to discuss the topic.
The video released showed an object travelling at a high rate of speed, and performing maneuvers that should be impossible based on our known laws of aerodynamics. The Pentagon released two videos of separate objects, and both of them were displaying maneuvers that no known man-made air-craft can perform. In one of the videos, a smaller object was seen coming out of another, making three objects. When the pilots began approaching the object at a close range, both of them accelerated instantaneously (from an already high speed), and disappeared within seconds.
Luis made it a point to emphasize that this is something that’s been happening for a long time, and something that happens a lot. This has been made clear by hundreds of other high ranking personnel from within the military, several other fields, and the release of millions of pages of UFO documents from dozens of governments.
These documents are full of radar returns, visual confirmations and electrooptical data. The next question to ask is, who is the intelligence behind the wheel?
When asked if he believed these objects are extraterrestrial, Luis stated that there is “compelling” evidence to suggest that we “may not be alone, whatever that means.”
“I will tell you unequivocally that through the observations, scientific methodologies that were applied to look at this phenomena, that these aircraft are displaying characteristics that are not currently within the US inventory, nor in any foreign inventory that we are aware of.”
Luis also made another strong point, “We have deliberately stayed away from going down the rabbit hole of, who’s behind the wheel and what are their intentions, because a lot of people have a lot of feelings towards that, and are very emotional about that.”
The pilot, David Fravor, as with hundreds of others who have had the same type of experience, stated his belief that these objects are “not from our world”.
This is precisely why, when bringing up the topic to friends or family, you may receive a bizarre look, or instantaneously receive “conspiracy theorist” allegations. The truth is, people still ridicule the subject, despite the fact that it’s a very serious issue. Perhaps the quote below from the first CIA director sheds some light as to why.
“Behind the scenes, high ranking Air Force officers are soberly concerned about UFOs. But through official secrecy and ridicule, many citizens are led to believe the unknown flying objects are nonsense.” Former head of CIA, Roscoe Hillenkoetter, 1960
Apart from secrecy and ridicule campaigns, the idea that we may have been visited, and are currently being visited is becoming more of a reality, and the implications are far reaching. From science and technology, to human history, the nature of our reality, and more, this realization, if made, will change humanity forever and really open us up to a much broader view of reality, and touch upon all aspects of life.
It also conflicts with the belief systems of many. When a human being has a certain picture of the human experience in their head, and the way things are, when confronted with information and evidence that completely counters it is something hard to do. As a result, our mind hangs on to our current belief system, not willing to let go or even entertain the idea that what they previously thought, might not actually be true.
Information like this can cause a global mental paradigm shift for many people.
So, let’s take a look at one aspect of life that might be affected, or not? Religion.
Comments on Religion
Religion is fascinating to say the least. This is because, on one hand, we have multiple religions preaching the same message at their core, one of peace, love, trust, good-will, non-violence , and the “Golden Rule.” On the other, it’s not uncommon to come across several contradictions between them all, and various interpretations of the same religion, which has created even more division within religious movements.
It’s quite obvious that many of the core messages shared from religions resonate with billions of people, as they should, there are some golden messages and guidelines in there, which is why so many souls gravitate towards it.
What I also find very interesting is that, prior to the Roman Empire, the ancient cultures from around the world were predominantly “spiritual,” with the same core message, and the same guidelines for one to live their life. We also see similar ways of life prior to religion, a great example would be the construction of pyramids by ancient cultures around the world that had absolutely no contact with one another. The predominant theme in ancient spirituality is the fact that a large portion of our world is non-material, spiritual in nature, and it did not use fear as part of its preaching.
There was no fear of hell, or no ‘wrath of God’ waiting to come down on an individual for their wrongdoings, but rather a spiritual, non-material perspective, opportunities for growth, and a recognition that we are more than just our physical body, and that non-material ‘spiritual’ forces play an important role in what we call our physical material world.
It is yet another “faith” that preaches the good-will of Earth and our planet.
When religion was born, it seemed to be made by man, originating within the Roman Empire, a force that began conquering the world and eventually wiped out the last trace of spirituality that pre-dated religion, which was the indigenous wisdom of North America, something that was not contradictory to the teachings of global indigenous culture.
This type of religion killed, and forced it’s own beliefs onto others, and it’s something that seems to have been happening globally for a very long time.
Religion has now turned into a business, a place of brain-washing, a tool used to explain and justify war, which makes no sense at all and is completely contradictory.
A great modern day example would be the “Islamic State.” Today, it’s not a perspective that’s commonly expressed by mainstream media, but despite that, multiple professors, politicians and more have emphasized that the Islamic Sate, the group the United States and their allies claim to be fighting against, is actually a creation of the United States (and their allies) themselves.
Terrorism is not representative of Islam…Islam is just being used by those who wish to manipulate us.
This narrative has been emphasized by multiple people from within the field. Jon Shelby Spong, a retired American Bishop, for example, told the world that that “religion is always in the control business, and that’s something people don’t really understand. It’s in the guilt producing control business.”
On a personal level, I believe religion is filled with much truth, real events and real historical figures. I also believe much of it is made by man, some of which has been changed to support the greedy interests of the powerful who wish to impose their way on others. Many aspects of religion are simply used as a means to an end, but not to really meditate, and inquire upon the mysteries of the universe, the origins of the human species, the meaning of life and the good-will of humanity. It claims to work for the good-will of all people, but seems to disguise itself publicly with the image of good-will while practicing deceit behind closed doors.
That being said, there are many different religions, and all are different. Some may be filled with lies, deceit and corruption, and others not. Again, this is why we may get so many different contradictions, they can’t all be true? Can they?
Then we have weird, strange type of phenomena that seems to be taking place under the name of God, one of many examples could Satanism within the Vatican.
This is why when it comes to the Religious interpretation of extraterrestrials, it’s important to take with a grain of salt. Instead of looking outside of yourself for answers, perhaps try looking within and seeing what your intuition tells you after examining a variety of sources, before and after religion.
How can a group of powerful religious Royals, from the time of Ancient Rome, completely take over the world and impose their views of reality on others? In ancient times, figures like Plato, and scientists who opposed the church later decades after the Roman Empire took rule were put to death.
Religion wiped out spirituality, ritualistic practices, our understand of the nature of the universe and even our ability to inquire or entertain alternate views of reality.
If you asked God about religion, I’m sure God would have no idea what it even is. I feel that religion, for the most part, does not represent God, but powerful mens greedy interests that capitalize on the tenderness and innocence of the human soul.
God and religion, in my opinion, do not fit in the same discussion, as I feel religion is simply man made, much of which comes from good intentions, and much of which does not.
Religion & Extraterrestrials
So, when it comes to religion, where does life on other planets fit in? “Spiritual” type of cultures, those that pre-dated modern religion like Atlantis, ancient Egypt, Summer and Babylon (to name a few) all make pretty good cases for being in direct contact with people from other planets. It’s even a common theme, and has been, throughout many indigenous culture traditions. Mysterious flying objects in antiquity are filled with many examples.
For example, Richard Wagamese, One of Canada’s foremost authors and storytellers from the Wabaseemoong First Nation in Northwestern Ontario writes how: “My people tell of Star People who came to us many generations ago. The Star people brought spiritual teachings and stories and maps of the cosmos and they offered these freely. They were kind, loving and set a great example. When they left us, my people say there was a loneliness like no other.”
If we look at modern day religion, the top three are no doubt Christianity, Islam, and Buddhism, although Buddhism is not considered a religion by many, given the fact that its origins alone predate modern day religion, similar to ancient Vedic scriptures, Greek Scriptures, Sumerian texts and more.
Buddhism has more of a spiritual undertone to it. And no, I personally do not believe spirituality is just another religion. That’s a discussion for another article that could also be quite lengthy.
Dr. Jacques Vallee’s 2010 book, Wonders of the Sky, includes an analysis of 500 UFO cases from biblical antiquity to 1879 before the development of the modern day industry. Vallée co-developed the very first computerized mapping of Mars for NASA. He is also noted for his work at the Stanford Research Institute (SRI), where he helped create ARPANET.
Would Religion Collapse?
Would modern day religions collapse with the realization of extraterrestrial intelligence? That’s the common belief, but there is really no evidence to support that belief, which makes one wonder, where did it come from?
For example, in early 2010 a survey designed by Ted Peters, a professor at the Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, California, was put out titled The Peters ETI Religious Crisis Survey. He and his colleagues interviewed 1300 people, which included believers from Roman Catholicism, mainline Protestantism, evangelical Protestantism, Orthodox Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism. They hypothesis of the survey was that, “upon confirmation of contact between Earth and an extraterrestrial civilization of intelligent beings, the long established religious traditions of Earth would confront a crisis of belief and perhaps even collapase.
Here are some of the responses the survey received: “Finding extraterrestrial intelligence (ETI), I believe, would be a profound and wonderful event.”
“Extraterrestrial religious beliefs and traditions will differ, perhaps greatly in some ways. However, they live in the same universe with the same God, and a similar array of religious responses and developments would likely have developed on their world.”
“Nothing would make me lose my faith, God can reach them if they exist.”
I believe that Christ became incarnate (human) in order to redeem humanity and atone for the original sin of Adam and Eve. Could there be a world of extraterrestrials? Maybe. It doesn’t change what Christ did.”
8 years prior, a Roper Poll asked, “Would an announcement of extraterrestrial Intelligence precipitate a religious crisis?” The answer was a big “no.”
The survey concluded that most religious people would not have a breakdown in faith, or even fear any type of extraterrestrial contact.

• Former director of the Pentagon’s $22M Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, and current member of To The Stars Academy, Luis Elizondo has put forward an explanation about “the physics of how it works”.
• “We do believe all these observables we’ve been seeing, sudden and extreme acceleration, hypersonic velocities, low observability, trans medium travel, and last but not least, positive lift, anti-gravity – is really the manifestation of a single technology,” said Elizondo. It is the ability to warp space-time, Elizondo explained, and not by a lot, but by a little – a theoretical passage through space-time that could create shortcuts for long journeys across the universe.
• Does extraterrestrial spacecraft propulsion involved navigating space-time wormholes through the universe, to essentially time-travel?
Alien and Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO) have been mind-boggling stuff since 1947 – the first time a well-known UFO sighting occurred. A businessman, who was flying his small plane, had claimed to have seen nine high-speed objects near Mount Rainier in Washington. He had said that the crescent-shaped objects had tremendous speed and moved “like saucers skipping on water.”
Cut to 2004, Navy pilots encountered a UFO off the San Diego coast. According to an eyewitness, pilot David Fravor, the 40-foot Tic-Tac shaped white vehicle moved, unlike any other thing he had ever seen in the air with lightning speed.
Not only in these two incidents but UFOs are often reported to display bizarre aerodynamics, defying the laws of Physics, which human minds are still incapable of apprehending.
Former director of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program – the Pentagon’s program to identify and investigate UFOs, Luis Elizondo has put forward an explanation about “the physics of how it works”.
“We do believe all these observables we’ve been seeing, sudden and extreme acceleration, hypersonic velocities, low observability, trans medium travel, and last but not least, positive lift, anti-gravity – is really the manifestation of a single technology,” Elizondo said, according to Daily Star.
It is the ability to warp space-time, Elizondo explained, and not by a lot, but by a little.
Space and Time Warps theory says that the fourth dimension called the space-time continuum, which fuses the three dimensions of space and the one dimension of time, can be bent like a cloth when exposed to high gravity of objects.

by Nick Redfern December 9, 2017 (mysteriousuniverse.org)
• In 1980, William Moore co-authored the book,The Roswell Incident. Soon thereafter, Moore was contacted by intelligence insiders who would covertly pass along intelligence information. In 1984, Moore’s friend, tv producer Jaime Shandera received a roll of film of photos of MJ-12 documents. Moore, Shandera, and Stanton Friedman studied and attempted to authenticate the documents for 2 ½ years.
• MJ-12 or Majestic 12 is a clandestine UFO/extraterrestrial oversight group, above the President, created in 1947 in the wake of the Roswell crash. It was/is comprised by twelve elite military, scientific, and intelligence officials.
• In 1987, Timothy Good published his book, Above Top Secret, and revealed the existence of MJ-12 along with leaked copies of MJ-12 documents. With the release of Good’s book, William Moore released his information on MJ-12 as well and it all went public.
• According to Jacques Vallee, when the FBI were given these MJ-12 documents, they turned away in disgust, professing no interest in the matter. When UFO debunker Philip Klass contacted the FBI about the alleged MJ-12 documents in 1988, the FBI opened an investigation. Also in 1988, an unauthorized Air Force agent gave the Dallas FBI office a file of MJ-12 documents. The Air Force immediately told the Dallas FBI that the documents were part of a number of these fake documents circulating around the United States. They told the Dallas FBI office to close the investigation.
• In 1993, the Air Force told this article’s writer, Nick Redfern, that they never had any MJ-12 documents in their possession and that MJ-12 doesn’t exist. Furthermore, the Air Force had never discussed MJ-12 with the FBI. The Air Force could not, however, provide any documents or evidence showing that they actually investigated the matter. Today, the FBI’s investigation into MJ-12 is officially “closed”.
• In the 1990s, investigator Timothy Cooper brought to the FBI hundreds more pages of MJ-12 documents, but they never made it to the public domain.
• Redfern ponders: ‘how was the Air Force able to determine that the papers were faked if no investigation on their part was undertaken?’ Was it just an opinion based on the unlikely nature and content of the documents?
• [Editor’s Note] Amazingly, Redfern takes the side of the Air Force cover-up, agreeing that the MJ-12 documents (presumably all of them) are bogus fakes. He considers the Air Force’s arbitrary dismissal of such a clandestine deep state government UFO committee to be “both understandable and reasonable”. Redfern ends the article flippantly, saying “[it] is time, methinks, for the rotted corpse to be laid to rest, once and for all,” the rotted corpse being the very existence of an MJ-12 oversight committee. It was all just a rumor. Really Nick?
It has been thirty years since the original, so-called “MJ12 documents” surfaced. In 1987, Timothy Good’s bestselling book Above Top Secret was published. One of the most-talked-about aspects of Good’s book was the mention of a supposed top secret research and development group established in 1947 to deal with highly classified UFO data. Referred to as either Majestic 12 or MJ12, it was said to have been created in the wake of the notorious events at Roswell, New Mexico in July 1947. It was said to have been comprised of military personnel, scientists, and the elite of the U.S. Intelligence community. Not only that: Good published copies of what were said to be leaked MJ12 documents that told of (a) the establishment of the group; (b) the apparent crash of a UFO, complete with alien bodies, at Roswell; and (c) a briefing given in 1952 on the matter to President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
Shortly after Good’s publication of the documents, additional copies surfaced in the United States. They came from the then research team of well-known ufologist Stanton Friedman, William Moore (the co-author, with Charles Berlitz, of the 1980 book The Roswell Incident) and Jaime Shandera (a television producer). Moore had been working quietly with a number of intelligence insiders who had contacted him shortly after publication of The Roswell Incident. From time to time various official-looking papers were passed onto Moore, the implication being that someone in the U.S. Government, military or Intelligence Community wished to make available information on UFOs that would otherwise have remained forever outside of the public domain.
It was as a result of Moore’s insider dealings that a roll of film negatives displaying the MJ12 documents was delivered in the mail to the home of Shandera in December 1984. Moore, Friedman and Shandera worked carefully and quietly for two and a half years in an attempt to determine the authenticity of the documents. With Timothy Good’s release, however, it was decided that the best course of action was to follow suit. As a result, a controversy was created that still continues to this day. At least, it continues to a small degree. Most people in Ufology have moved on from the MJ12 documents. But, they still occasionally cause a brief raising of eyebrows, such as when the latest batch surfaced earlier this year. Who remembers them now? I try not to.
Jacques Vallee, UFO author, investigator, and former principal investigator on Department of Defense computer networking projects-stated in his book Revelations that the FBI turned away from the MJ12 documents in “disgust” and professed no interest in the matter. Papers and comments made to me by the FBI and the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, however, reflect a somewhat different scenario. It was in 1988 that the FBI’s investigation began – after the late UFO skeptic/debunker Philip Klass contacted the FBI and told them all about the supposedly leaked, highly-classified documents and who had put them in the public domain.
We also know – thanks to the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act – that what was possibly a separate autumn 1988 investigation was conducted by the FBI’s Foreign Counter-Intelligence division (operating out of Washington and New York). Some input into the investigation also came from the FBI office in Dallas, Texas – the involvement of the latter confirmed to me by the Dallas office in the early 1990s.

• This is another article regarding the white UFO that was tracked on a northern course over northern California (near Mt Shasta) and into Oregon. When the UFO reached the Oregon border, it dropped off of radar, but was continued to be seen by commercial and military aircraft until it disappeared.
• This article features a minute-long recording of the Air Force F-15 fighter jet pilot as he sees the white UFO. “Oh look at that thing.” “Yeah, that’s crazy.”
Back in November, it was reported a mysterious aircraft was seen circling in a busy and well-monitored air space in the skies above Oregon, US.
In a bizarre and worrying twist the aircraft vanished – and the US Air Force failed to find it.
And now, to add to the already questionable situation, audio footage has been released from the fighter jets that pursued the phenomenon.
These materials include audio recordings of radio transmissions and phone calls made as the incident was unfolding.
In the video you hear the pilot relaying the issue.
He says: “You know that target south of the boundary moving very fast?”
Before someone on the other end replies: “Oh look at that thing.”

• This article gives a play-by-play of a UFO event that occurred on October 25th, 2017 over Northern California and Oregon, according to the radar images and lengthy voice recordings of FAA officials, Air Force radar operators, and airline pilots as they track a white aircraft at 37,000 ft.- bigger and faster than a Boeing 737. These recordings provide compelling insight how such an event is actually handled in real-time by Air Force and FAA officials. What it does not provide are explanations. Air control officials are completely puzzled as to what this UFO might have been.
• It began at 4:30pm PST when Oakland Center (California) Sector 31 first detected the target on radar traveling at very high speed due north up the eastern border of California in the vicinity of Mt Shasta. When it reaches the Oregon border, the “intruder” drops off radar. Over the next half hour air traffic control tracks the UFO through visual sightings reported by airline crews. Air Force F-15 fighter jets are scrambled out of Portland International Airport in northern Oregon.
• Commercial aircraft Alaska Airlines 525 cannot get a visual. United 612 can see it but cannot make it out. The Southwest 4712 crew has the best view of the large white UFO. It follows the Southwest flight at a visible distance all the way from Mt Shasta to the Portland International Airport. The Southwest pilot remarks that in 30 years of flying, he has never seen anything like it.
• At this point, the commercial aircraft lose sight of the UFO, the F-15’s apparently are not able to intercept, and radar is never able to reacquire the UFO. Seattle Center’s Manager In Charge of Operations is heard talking with Seattle Center and the three commercial airline pilots trying to figure out what just happened. An official with the FAA’s Quality Assurance Group, the division that specifically deals with unique aerial phenomenon, could only say, “Wow. That’s weird.”
Last November, The War Zone posted an exclusive story detailing a bizarre incident involving an unidentified aircraft that transited the skies of the Pacific Northwest in the early evening of October 25th, 2017. What started as a radar target moving at very high speed over Northern California turned into a series of eyewitness accounts made by nearby airline pilots traveling northward over Oregon. Even F-15 fighters were launched to intercept the mysterious intruder that quickly became invisible to radar.
Now, through the Freedom of Information Act, we present what could be one of the most insightful instances of official documentation surrounding such an encounter that had already been confirmed to have occurred by both the FAA and the USAF. These materials include fascinating audio recordings of radio transmissions and phone calls made as the incident was unfolding, as well as pilot interviews, and conversations between FAA officials made in the aftermath of the highly peculiar incident.
Fast forward three months later, and now we have so much more evidence that adds incredible depth and color to our original report and the limited radio recordings we originally had to go off of. Via our Freedom of Information Act Request we received hours of audio, all with unique elements that add to this story. What we have done is packaged that audio, as well as the radar data provided, into four separate videos. We will highlight some of the big takeaways from each video in our piece, but we cannot stress enough how interesting and eye opening this audio is to listen to in full, so we highly recommend you do so by watching each video in its entirety.
The first video includes audio from the initial spotting of the object as it ripped its way across Northern California at high speed, before it took a turn north and merged with nearby air traffic and disappeared from radar. Once again, beyond becoming invisible to radar, this aircraft had no transponder broadcasting nor did it ever communicate verbally with air traffic controllers. The audio in the video goes on to be sync’d in real-time with radar data obtained via our FOIA request.
Oakland Center Sector 31 first detected the target around 4:30pm PST. Below is a chart showing where Oakland Center’s high altitude sectors are situated around Northern California. Sector 31 spans roughly from Sacramento up towards Redding, before its northern edge, which is near the border with Oregon, terminates and Seattle Center’s airspace begins. To the east, the airspace sits along the California-Nevada border. This makes sense as the craft was eventually tracked by airline pilots as it made its way up over Crater Lake and towards the Willamette Valley.
In the audio the Oakland Center controller notes that it is near his boundary, so it seems the aircraft’s first appearance officially occurred near the border of Oakland Center Sector 31 and Seattle Center Sector 13 or 14. The target was moving “very fast at 37,000” feet when it was first detected.
The “intruder” quickly dropped off radar and that’s when the visual sightings made by airline crews began. They continued for roughly half an hour and over hundreds of miles. The exchanges between nearby pilots and air traffic control regarding the unidentified aircraft were constant in the audio, with the same description coming back time and again—that of a white aircraft cruising at around 37,000 feet that is too far away to tell the type or if it has markings of any kind on it.
At roughly 27:30 into the video we get our first indication that the F-15s out of PDX are about to scramble, with the air traffic controller noting this while talking to another FAA controller, during which the controller also reiterates that there has still been no radar contact with the aircraft. The controller also repeatedly asks aircrews nearby to check their Traffic Collision Avoidance Systems for the aircraft, which all come back negative.
The F-15s first appear on radar as they climb out of Portland to the south at time index 33:33 as “Rock” flight—a common call-sign used for the alert F-15s stationed at PDX. Alaska 439 asks for an update on the unidentified aircraft and the controller notes they still have nothing on him, saying colloquially that it must be in a kind of “stealth mode or something.” It’s also interesting that the F-15s first went south when it seems as if the object would have been north of PDX by the time they finally launched.
This second video is just the radar data in its raw form. It starts before the sync’d recording begins above so we thought we would post it in full so our readers can take a closer look if they want.
Next we move into some very interesting recordings of FAA phone calls that occurred as all of this was taking place. We edited out dead space in the audio between phone calls and bleeped the names of those who named themselves. Aside from that, the audio is unedited by us, although we cannot be certain if parts were redacted by the FAA or not. There were a few strange areas where conversations went mute and it’s not clear if this was edited or just an anomaly. The primary person talking in most of these calls is the Operations Manager In Charge for Seattle Center at the time that the incident took place.
The first call is to Oakland Center, and it occurs early on after the initial radar detection and as pilots began spotting the craft visually. He also mentions that “air defense” is looking for the target now too (on radar), so it shows how early the military was involved in the encounter.
You will notice that the term “DEN” is referred to repeatedly in these recordings. That is the Domestic Events Network, a sort of hotline system that is used to bridge the FAA with federal authorities, namely the military. You will also hear the term “WADS” and the nickname/call-sign “Bigfoot.” This refers to the Western Air Defense sector of NORAD that monitors the airspace over a huge swath of territory in the United States and Canada. Based out of McChord AFB in Washington, WADS scrambles the fighters when needed and works to direct them to their targets of interest during domestic air sovereignty missions, among other responsibilities.
When the Manager In Charge is asked if he was asking for military assistance by another FAA controller, the tape goes blank. The same inquiry is heard moments later, and it goes silent again before another call begins. Although it really doesn’t have much impact on the greater mystery, who asked for the F-15s to scramble and when, comes up in the next video in an exchange between the same manager and an FAA official.
In the final set of calls in the video we hear controllers talking about how the Air Force wants to set up an air patrol over Battle Ground, Washington, which is a dozen miles directly north of PDX. We know the F-15s headed south initially, so it isn’t clear if this call came after they initially headed in that direction or before they were even airborne and the plan changed later on for some reason. Once again “Rock” refers to the call-sign of the alert fighters.
Finally, we get to our last and most interesting of our evidence videos. It contains the calls made after the incident occurred. Seattle Center’s Manager In Charge of Operations tries to figure out what happened exactly. In doing so he talks once again with Seattle Center and the trio of airline pilots that spotted the craft visually and has some very interesting conversations with the FAA’s Air Traffic Organization Security office and the agency’s Safety and Quality Assurance Group.

• British ufologist Philip Mantle has republished a book about “the Pascagoula Abduction” a bizarre ET encounter that took place in in Pascagoula, Mississippi on the evening of October 11th 1973. Mantle deems this one of the “most unique close encounters on record.” The story is supported by audio tape of the two abductees obtained by the British news website, The Sun Online.
• Charles Hickson, 42, and Calvin Parker, 19 (pictured above), were fishing on the banks of the Pascagoula River when they heard a whizzing sound. An oval shaped craft, 8 ft across, suddenly appeared near them levitating 2 ft above the ground. A door opened and three 5 ft tall “humanoid” creatures emerged and “floated” them into the UFO.
• The ET beings had lobster-like claws at the ends of their arms, “carrot-like” growths for their nose and ears, no eyes, slits for mouths, one leg, and their heads connected directly to their shoulders with no discernible neck. The beings’ skin was described as wrinkled and pale in color.
• Both men reported being paralyzed and numb. The younger, Calvin, fainted from fright. Charles claimed that he was scanned by what looked like a large football-shaped mechanical eye, 6 to 8 inches in diameter. After about 20 minutes, the pair were levitated, or “floated”, feet dragging on the ground, back to their original place on the river bank. The craft left and terrified men went to their car and sat for 45 minutes.
• They first tried reporting the encounter to officials at Keesler Air Force Base, but were told to go to local sheriff’s department. They arrived at the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department at 10:30 pm and gave their report. After 30 minutes of questioning, Sheriff Fred Diamond decided to leave the men alone in a room rigged with a hidden microphone to try and find out if they were lying or not.
• In the recording, the men remain highly distressed and never stray from their story. This so-called “secret tape” had been held on file at the Jackson County Sheriff’s department since 1973. Charles and Calvin even asked to take a lie detector test to prove their honesty.
• Within days, Pascagoula was the center of an international news story with reporters swarming the town. Tiring of the publicity, Charles and Calvin moved 150 miles north of Pascagoula where Calvin was admitted to a hospital for an emotional breakdown.
• Charles, on the other hand, appeared on Dick Cavett’s TV talk show in January 1974, and spoke occasionally at UFO conferences. Charles also co-wrote a book about the event titled UFO Contact at Pascagoula, which is now being republished by Philip Mantle. Charles died on September 9, 2011, at age 80, but never backed away from his alien abduction story.
Secret police audio files reveal that the two men behind one of the craziest “alien encounters” ever recorded were telling the truth, a UFO researcher has claimed. The bizarre Pascagoula incident involved two fishermen who claimed to have been captured by three alien creatures with lobster-like claws and taken into a UFO – before being released.
Audio recorded by the sheriff’s department when the men reported the incident, obtained by Sun Online, show the men were highly distressed by the alleged incident – and never strayed from their story – even when cops left them alone and secretly taped them.
The audio files prove the two men were telling the truth, according to Brit ufologist Philip Mantle, who has republished a book about the incident, which he calls one of the “most unique close encounters on record.”
The incident took place in October 1973, when keen fishermen Charles Hickson, 42, and Calvin Parker, 19, were on the banks of the Pascagoula River, in the US state of Mississippi, and heard a whizzing sound overhead.
They claim that an oval shaped “craft”, some 8ft across, suddenly appeared near them and seemed to levitate about 2ft above the ground.
A door opened and three creatures – who were “humanoid” in shape and about 5ft tall – emerged and seized the men, “floating” them into the UFO, they later told police.
Both men reported being paralysed and numb – while Calvin claimed that he had fainted due to fright.
The men said the creatures had lobster-like claws at the ends of their arms, “carrot-like” growths for their nose and ears, and only one leg and their heads also appeared connected directly to their shoulders, with no discernible neck.
The creatures’ skin was described as pale in colour, wrinkled, with no eyes and slits for mouths.
On the ship, Charles claimed that he was examined by what looked like a large football-shaped mechanical eye, about 6 to 8 inches in diameter, that seemed to scan his body.
Calvin claimed that he could not recall what had happened to him inside the craft, although later, during hypnotic regression he offered some hazy details.
The men said they were released after about 15-20 minutes and the creatures levitated them, with Hickson’s feet dragging along the ground, back to their original positions on the river bank.
The terrified men claimed to have sat in a car for about 45 minutes, trying to calm themselves before they tried to report the sighting to officials at Keesler Air Force Base, but were told to go to police.
At about 10:30pm, the pair arrived at the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, Mississippi, where they gave a report of what happened and were questioned by officers.
After around 30 minutes of questioning, Sheriff Fred Diamond decided to leave the men alone in a room that was rigged with a hidden microphone – to try and find out if they were lying or not.
He assumed that if they were lying it would become immediately apparent when the two spoke privately but instead, they continued to act incredibly distressed – and never straying from their fantastic tale.
This so-called “secret tape” had been held on file at the Jackson County Sheriff’s department since 1973.
Seeing that the police were skeptical of their story, Charles and Calvin even insisted that they take lie detector tests to prove their honesty.
Within days, Pascagoula was the centre of an international news story, with reporters swarming the town.
Tiring of the publicity, Charles and Calvin moved to Jones County, Mississippi, about 150 miles north of Pascagoula, where Calvin was eventually admitted to hospital for what was described as “an emotional breakdown.”
While Calvin avoided public attention, Charles appeared on Dick Cavett’s TV talk show in January 1974, and spoke at occasional UFO conferences.
He also co-wrote a book about the event with William Mendez titled “ UFO Contact at Pascagoula”, which is now being republished by Philip Mantle.
Charles died in September 9, 2011, at age 80, but never backed away from his alien abduction story despite ridicule.

• After a spate of recent sightings at the Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana have alien hunters speculating that extraterrestrials are watching the base. The website “UFO Hunters” shows there have been close to 20 sightings at Malmstrom within the past decade, making it a true hotspot for UFO activity. Malmstrom is the home for the 341st Missile Wing maintaining the Minuteman III intercontinental thermonuclear ballistic missiles.
• UFO sightings at Malmstrom AFB have been a common occurrence for the past fifty years. In 1967, it was reported by AF Captain Robert Salas that “an object came over and hovered directly over the site” when ten Minuteman missiles inexplicably shut down. Then the same thing happened a week later. Salas thinks that the UFOs were intentionally disrupting the missiles. “I personally think they (the UFOs) are not from planet Earth.”
• UFO hunters believe aliens are monitoring military bases in the US. A recent map from the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) shows UFO sightings across the United States. Retired marine Alex Hollings recently wrote an article (see here) noting that “many of the regions that seem to show a high frequency of UFO reports coincide with the locations of military installations.”
• The most recent sighting of an unidentified space craft came on January 24, when a black object, over “half an acre” in size, was spotted near the base, accompanied by a ten minute power outage at the base.
Alien hunters believe that extraterrestrials are watching the goings on at the Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana after a spate of sightings there.
The most recent sighting of an unidentified space craft came on January 24, when a black object, which was reportedly over “half an acre” in size was spotted near the base.
According to website UFO Hunters – which monitors and collects records of sightings – there was a power outage in the region for around 10 minutes at the same time as the sighting.
The website also shows there have been close to 20 sightings within the past decade, making it a true hotspot for UFO activity.
However, sightings there stretch back much longer than the last 10 years.
One former employee at the Malmstrom Air Force Base claims a UFO shut down 10 missiles in 1967.
Capt Robert Salas said: “I was on duty when an object came over and hovered directly over the site.
“The missiles shut down – 10 Minuteman missiles. And the same thing happened at another site a week later. There’s a strong interest in our missiles by these objects, wherever they come from. I personally think they’re not from planet Earth.”
UFO hunters believe aliens are monitoring military bases in the US.
A recent map from the US-based National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) was released which shows UFO sightings across the States.
However, it has been suggested the most dense areas for sightings coincide with US military installations.

• In 2017, data analyst Adam Crahen plotted all 58,828 reports submitted between 1995 and 2014 to the National UFO Reporting Center on a map of the United States, resulting in a green swath across nearly the entirety of the nation. When this UFO map is overlaid with a map of all US military installations (see above), they generally coincide.
• This might mean that aliens take a particular interest in what our military is doing. Or it may mean that many UFO sightings are nothing more than misidentified military aircraft. Military aircraft are often mistaken for Unidentified Flying Objects because their shape and unconventional behavior.
• Or could it be both of these explanations? After all, the National UFO Reporting Center has documented nearly 60,000 sightings over a 19-year span.
• [Editor’s Note] Or could it be that the extraterrestrials and the US military are working together?
In the past few months, the idea of Unidentified Flying Objects as spacecraft from another world has enjoyed a resurgence in the minds of the public, thanks in no small part to the revelation that the Pentagon has been secretly devoting millions of dollars to the investigation of just such anomalous sightings for years now. Of course, public interest in the idea that we’re being visited by advanced air platforms hailing from across the sea or across the galaxy, tends to be cyclical, and one could be forgiven for assuming that reports of strange objects in the sky had died down in the years since the last time the X-Files was on the air. Surprisingly, or perhaps, unsurprisingly (depending on your beliefs) that doesn’t seem to be the case.
The internet has allowed independent organizations devoted to the serious (and sometimes not-so-serious) study of UFOs the reach they need to compile massive amounts of data regarding sightings and even supposed interactions with everything from flying saucers to time machines. These largely self-reported sighting databases maintained by groups like The National UFO Reporting Center offer thousands of sightings to click through and read about – providing either a glimpse into the honest reporting of thousands of Americans… or the ravings of mad men and internet trolls. It’s honestly almost impossible to differentiate between the two.
None the less, there are some interesting things to glean from these data aggregators, whether you believe each data point represents a legitimate sighting of something unusual, the delusion of a wishful thinker, or the geographic location of an internet troll. Acknowledging that, deep within the Pentagon, there are senior defense officials tasked with investigating sightings of this sort suggests that there’s some value to be had in taking a look at some of these cases, or from a macro-perspective, to looking for trends in sightings that may offer reasonable explanations for regions with abnormal high rates of sightings.
Last year, data analyst Adam Crahen took of one of the largest databases of alleged UFO encounters online, maintained by the the aforementioned National UFO Reporting Center, and plotted all 58,828 reports submitted between 1995 and 2014 on a map of the United States. The final product is an impressive, or perhaps frightening, green swath across nearly the entirety of the United States, seemingly suggesting that UFOs are not only here, but American airspace is just lousy with them.
Or maybe not. It comes as no surprise that more sightings are reported in areas of the country that are heavily populated (more people means more sightings) but the greener patches of the map also seem to coincide with something else.
When laying that same map of reported UFO sightings over a U.S. map showing the locations of all military installations, an interesting trend starts to emerge: many of the regions that seem to show a high frequency of UFO reports coincide with the locations of military installations. For the conspiracy minded, this might mean our alien visitors have taken a particular interest in what our military is up to… but others might be inclined to conclude that many of these supposed UFO sightings may be nothing more than misidentified military aircraft.

• Ever since the writer, actor, and Saturday Night Live alumnus, Dan Aykroyd, saw the video broadcast of a formation of UFOs flying over the US Capitol building as a child in 1952, he’s had an intense interest in the UFO phenomenon.
• In the mid-1980’s Aykroyd was one of many in the upstate New York area who were telepathically told to go outside and see a pink spiral in the sky. Aykroyd thereafter served as the Hollywood representative of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), and in 2005 made a UFO documentary entitled Dan Aykroyd Unplugged on UFOs.
• In April 2010, on Larry King Live Aykroyd said, “(ETs) have come from a billion years in the future or the next dimension or wherever they are coming from… they have abducted people.”
• In 2015, Aykroyd said on The HuffPost Show, “I have seen four (UFOs), and I can’t say that they are alien craft and neither can the Air Force. The Air Force… don’t deny the existence of these hyperdynamic, super aerodynamic craft. They want to tell you anything but that they are extraterrestrial. Any excuse at all.”
• Aykroyd has told of seeing a pale man in a black suit outside of a New York studio who gave him a “dirty look” before getting in a black car and driving away. Immediately after this ‘Men In Black’ encounter, Aykroyd’s SciFi Channel show, Out There, was cancelled just as they were shooting a segment with UFO disclosure advocate, Dr. Steven Greer.
• In a Facebook posting, Aykroyd says that some ETs are here for good purposes and some are here for malevolent purposes. “(ETs) are visiting because this is the planet that produced… so many advances in science, art and culture… they don’t paint like Renoir, they don’t dance like Mick Jagger, they don’t write like Samuel Johnson or William Faulkner. We have the most beautiful planet. They are envious of us.”
There are many facets of the UFO phenomenon, and many types of witnesses who have come forward with their own extraordinary tales. These often get lost in the deluge of such reports and indeed rantings, but sometimes there is a well-know and beloved celebrity who will come forward with their own accounts, theories, and experiences. These particular witnesses and spokespeople have a way of making people listen, somewhat reinvigorating the UFO debate in the process, and certainly one of the most vocal and well-known of these is none other than the popular Canadian-American actor, comedian, producer, screenwriter, musician and businessman Dan Ackroyd. Getting his start on the hit sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live and going on to star in such beloved classics as Ghostbusters, Aykroyd is a well-known name to many people. He also just happens to be a major proponent and researcher of UFOs with some truly bizarre tales to tell.
Dan Aykroyd has never been shy about his intense interest in UFOs, and this seems to be a fascination that reaches all the way back into his childhood. The actor was fist enamored with the phenomenon when he saw a photo of mysterious lights over Capitol Hill from all the way back in 1952, an incident in which fighter planes had apparently been scrambled to chase the fast-moving objects off. This interest was only strengthened when he saw the classic sci-fi film The Day the Earth Stood Still, which he saw as a perfectly plausible scenario. Aykroyd would have the first of his own many close encounters with UFOs in the mid-1980s in upstate New York, when he claims that he woke up in the middle of the night in a panic and told his wife, “They are calling me, I want to go outside.”
He claimed that he had had the irresistible compulsion to go outside, which he credits to voices in his head compelling him to do so. When he did go outside as instructed by the voices in his head he reported that he had seen a pink spiral over the Great Lakes area, and it would turn out that others had had the same urge to go outside at the same time and had seen the same thing.
Aykroyd would go on to become a fairly hard-core proponent of UFOs, and he would eventually make a documentary on his interests, called Dan Aykroyd Unplugged on UFOs, in 2005, and he even served for several years as the official Hollywood representative of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), and he has accrued a vast knowledge of UFO research and lore over the years that would put most UFOlogists to shame. In April of 2010, Aykroyd appeared on the well-known TV show Larry King Live, where the topic was UFOs and Aykroyd appeared as a pro-UFO representative in the debate, among a panel of scientists who had been brought together to discuss the physicist Stephen Hawking’s assertion that any aliens coming from the stars would be certainly malevolent. Aykroyd shared some famous cases of UFO abductions, such as those of Travis Walton and Betty and Barney Hill, and on the show he stated: They are here, science should accept that they are here and look how they have come from a billion years in the future or the next dimension or wherever they are coming from. They have abducted people.
Aykroyd has appeared on other shows about his UFO beliefs, such as a 2015 episode of The HuffPost Show with host Marc Lamont Hill, where the topic turned to the strange and he talked candidly about the U.S. Air Force’s UFO alleged cover-up and some details about his own personal UFO sightings. When asked if he truly believed in UFOs, Aykroyd answered: “I do, absolutely, and I’m not alone. I have seen four, and I can’t say that they are alien craft and neither can the Air Force. The Air Force has been very interested in this. They don’t deny the existence of these hyperdynamic, super aerodynamic craft. They don’t deny. Their anguish comes in that they can’t tell you. They want to tell you anything but that they are extraterrestrial. Any excuse at all, even if they are unknown or unsolved. The Air Force cannot just come out and admit that there are extraterrestrial beings far in advanced of our culture that have built these machines. They are very interested in what is going on, but like us, they don’t know. I believe that there are probably many species coming and going and that the Air Force is very interested, but they can’t come out and say. Because then you’re going to go, ‘well wait a minute, the parish priest, the cop on the street, the President — you don’t got the power. They’ve got the power!’ You’d have complete breakdown of society.”
On the show, Aykroyd went on to give some further details into his own strange UFO sightings, saying:
Two specifically were definitely aerial constructs of some kind. One of them with a light, and one of them dull gray, and they were structures – one of them going very slow, one of them hovering over me. Then there were the two that my wife and friends and I saw – a high altitude sighting many years ago in Martha’s Vineyard. Two flying side by side. They were at about 100,000 feet up, and they were going fast.
Aykroyd has also gone on and on about UFOs on his Facebook page, often referencing research and books and talking about his conspiratorial ideas about government cover-ups. He actively plugged the 2014 book The FBI-CIA-UFO Connection: The Hidden UFO Activities of USA Intelligence Agencies on his page, which goes over the vast research done on declassified documents by a physicist named Dr. Bruce Maccabee, who spent thirty-six years at the Naval Surface Warfare Center. Aykroyd would say in a Facebook post of the book thus: “Ex-Naval Surface Warfare employee and physicist Dr. Bruce Maccabee has assembled the most extensively and meticulously researched body of documentary evidence ever compiled on the U.S. government’s genuine interest in the UFO phenomena. The USAF has NEVER denied the existence of these super-performance aerodynamic vehicles. The Air Force’s continued anguish over PUBLIC disclosure is not due to the military’s genuinely admitted reality of these machines’ existence but due to the government’s struggle to categorize the phenomena as being ANYTHING but extra planetary in origin.”
Aykroyd also continuously praises and supports the organization called Mutual UFO Network (Mufon), for which he served as a consultant for a few years, and of who which he has said: “Basically, [Mufon are] scientists from all kinds of disciplines that have formed this group to analyze what is real and what is a hoax. Now you could say every one of them is a fake – that footage of 200 whirling white dots in the sky, or the Phoenix Lights [a series of lights seen over Phoenix, Arizona, in 1997] – which 17,000 people saw – the Tinley Park sightings in Illinois, where whole suburbs saw these triangles and wedges go over at three miles an hour. Is it a mass hallucination? If so, why is it appearing on digital cameras and film? They’re coming and going like taxis.”

• In this article, the writer recounts the mystery surrounding the death of British UFO researcher and conspiracy theorist, Max Spiers (1976-2016).
• Spiers’ recent investigations had involved government and military cover ups and how it ties in with the ET presence and UFOs. In July 2016, Spiers was in Warsaw, Poland to speak at a conference where he would speak on the use of black magic in politics (e.g. pizzagate), extraterrestrials and mind control.
• Some years back, Spiers fractured his pelvis. He became addicted to opiate pain killers, and then to heroin. In an interview that he gave just before his death, he appears inexplicably high. Spiers was later found unconcious in his friend’s Warsaw apartment. He had reportedly vomited copious amounts black ooze. A British autopsy determined that he died of natural causes.
• Spier’s mother, Vanessa Bates, suspects foul play. She says that several days before her son’s death, Spiers told her “[I’m] in trouble. If anything happens to me, investigate.” When the British authorities gave her Spiers’ belongings, she noted that his laptop had been wiped clean of it contents, including Spiers’ research.
“Your boy’s in trouble. If anything happens to me, investigate.”
This was a text British conspiracy theorist Max Spiers sent to his mother just a few days before his death.
Spiers had many investigations regarding government/military cover ups, extraterrestrial life/UFOs, etc. Spiers was passionate about his research and believed in many conspiracy theories; he wanted to share his research with the world. On July 16, 2016 in Warsaw, Poland, Spiers was found dead on the sofa in a friend’s apartment.
Spiers was in Poland because he was scheduled to speak at a conference. Colleagues and friends of Spiers believed he was going to expose most of the information he knew regarding black magic involved in politics, his experience with extraterrestrial life, and how he believed he was being mind controlled.
The idea of being abducted and examined by extraterrestrials was something Spiers believed he had experienced. He also believed he had supernatural powers since birth.
Throughout the years, Spiers had some drug issues. He was in an accident while he was living in the U.S and cracked his pelvis. He was given a prescription of opiate pain relief and later developed an opioid use disorder. When Spiers was no longer able to receive opiates, he used heroin. According to his actions during an interview, where Spiers appeared to be drugged, it seems he may have relapsed, but I have a theory about this I will get to later.
When Spiers died on his friend’s sofa, his friend had called for an ambulance. But when the paramedics arrived, they were unable to revive him. The Polish authorities then handed Spiers’ body over the the British authorities. The Polish police never conducted an autopsy; the British authorities, on the other hand, did. Mysteriously, they ruled that Spiers died of natural causes. Does vomiting amounts of black liquid seem natural? Not at all.
The case was said to be closed, but Spiers’ mother, Vanessa Bates, would not let the case die.
Bates believed her son did not die of natural causes. Bates would investigate, as her son told her to in that text a few days before his death.
When Bates was made aware of Spiers’ death and was given her son’s belongings, including his laptop, she discovered the laptop had been wiped clean. None of Spiers’ research was found on the computer, nothing was left to indicate that this laptop belonged to Spiers’ at all.
Bates believes her son was killed on purpose. It is not known by who exactly, but she believes someone or some group of people, wanted Spiers’ research to remain a secret.

• A YouTube video by ‘UFOmania – the truth is out there’ (see 2:33 video below), shows a series of 5000-year-old artifacts that look a lot like extraterrestrial beings and spacecraft.
• The artifacts have been in the possession of the local Mexican farmers who presumably found them. There are “tons more where they came from” say the farmers. They apparently brought in veteran relic researcher, Klaus Dona.
• It remains uncertain whether these are the genuine article, or whether the artifacts truly depict aliens and spaceships. They could be just run-of-the mill humans with big eyes and over-sized heads, showing off their fancy dinnerware.
Mexico is experiencing a surge of alien activity, recent reports suggest.
Earlier this month, witnesses reported a mysterious craft flying over parts of the Central American country, providing us with our first noteworthy UFO sighting of the year.
Then, archeologists discovered what they believe to be a loose map of the universe in a crater in Mexico, based on the knowledge that the natives had at the time, and depicting spheres as floating in an inky black sky.
Now, many dedicated alien truthers are getting excited about much older accounts of alien encounters as recorded through the medium of ancient Mexican art and sculpture.
A YouTube video from UFOmania – The truth is out there shows off a series of intriguing ancient artifacts, purported to be 5,000-year-old relics in the possession of Mexican farmers, which seem to depict humanoid beings that look very similar to our typical interpretation of aliens in the modern era.
A text-to-speech voice that starts the video explains a little of the backstory behind these artifacts, but as is always the case with these kinds of conspiracy theories, concrete details are sketchy at best. The pictures have no sources nor explanations, and the video merely implies a tangential connection to artifacts that have been studied by researcher Klaus Dona, a recurring player in the UFO truther community.

Sightings of strange objects in the sky have been recorded since ancient times.
The Ramayana, an ancient Indian Veda epic dating back to the fourth/fifth century B.C., recorded a “chariot that resembles the sun, that aerial and excellent chariot going everywhere at will, resembling a bright cloud in the sky, and the king got in and the excellent chariot rose up into the higher atmosphere.”
Another ancient Indian text, the Mahabharata, described a flying craft as twelve cubits in circumference, with four strong wheels about seven feet in diameter… “powered by winged lighting…it was a ship that soared into the air, flying to both the solar and stellar regions.” “They roar… off into the sky until they appear like comets.”
In 217 BC, it was reported by Orosius and Livy that round metallic shields were seen in the sky.
In 173 BC, Livy reported a “great fleet… in the sky” in Lanuvium, Italy.
In 100 BC, the people of Ameria and Tuder reported “a round shield, burning and emitting sparks” and ”objects in the sky rushing together from east and west, those from the west being routed.”
In 91 BC, a Golden orb phenomenon was seen in Umbria, Italy and recorded in the painting seen below.
On August 7, 1566, citizens of Basel, Switzerland reported seeing many spheres in the sky for several hours, and recorded the phenomenon in the painting seen above the title.
Every single year, the topic of UFOs grows in popularity, and that’s primarily due to the fact that they’re actually real. The most recent example comes from the Pentagon, they recently released footage of two Navy pilots scrambled to intercept a UFO. It performed maneuvers and travelled at speeds no known man-made air-craft can today.
There are thousands of documents detailing countless amounts of encounters between these objects several different nations and their military.
Does this mean they’re extraterrestrial? Not exactly, but what’s often overlooked is the extraterrestrial hypothesis (as a possible explanation for these UFOs).
Sightings of strange objects in the sky have been recorded for a very long time. For example, in 217 BC “at Arpi round shields (parmas) were seen in the sky” (Liv. 22.1.9; Orosius 4.15). A parma was a small round shield made of iron, bronze, and other metals. According to NASA, “we do not know whether the luster of these devices (and not just their shape) was intended to be an element of the description. Mock suns are an unlikely explanation, since in the Roman prodigy lists these were routinely described as ‘double suns’ or ‘triple suns’ (i.e. two mock suns on either side of the real one).”
Another example would be the picture, known as the “Golden orb” phenomenon seen at Spoletium, Umbria, Italy in 91 BC (from Jaques Vallee, Chris Aubeck: Wonders in the Sky.)
The one (above the title) is from August 7, 1566. At dawn, many citizens of Basel (Switzerland) reported seeing many spheres for several hours.
In 173 BC “at Lanuvium a spectacle of a great fleet was said to have been seen in the sky” (Liv. 42.2.4). In 104 BC, “the people of Ameria and Tuder observed objects in the sky rushing together from east and west, those from the west being routed.” In 100 BC, “a round shield (clipeus), burning and emitting sparks, ran across the sky from west to east, at sunset.” Thus Pliny (Nat. 2.100), although Obsequens (45) called the phenomenon “a circular object, like a round shield.”
The Ramayana is a Veda epic that dates back to the fourth/fifth century, B.C. (MahabharataVIII.31.80). In one passage, a vimana is described as a “chariot that resembles the sun, that aerial and excellent chariot going everywhere at will, resembling a bright cloud in the sky, and the king got in and the excellent chariot rose up into the higher atmosphere.” (Dolan, Richard. UFOs For the 21st Century Mind. New York: Richard Dolan Press, 2014) (Daniken, Erich. Chariots of The Gods.New York: Berkley Books, 1970).
Vimanas are also described in the Mahabharata, another ancient text. In this case, measurements are given for one of the vimanas. It’s described as having twelve cubits in circumference, with four strong wheels, approximately 20 to 25 feet in circumference, about seven feet in diameter.
“They roar like off into the sky until they appear like comets.” The Mahabharata and various Sanskrit books describe at length these chariots, “powered by winged lighting…it was a ship that soared into the air, flying to both the solar and stellar regions.”
This is something that’s been documented by several different cultures from around the world up to the present day. And although many of today’s sightings can be explained by modern day conventional science, a large portion, not small, remain a complete anomaly.

Dr. Robert Pinotti, the founder of the National UFO Center (CUN) and a leading expert in European UFO sightings (pictured above), is promoting his new book, “UFO Contacts In Italy: Volume One : 1907 – 1978”. It is described as a limited selection of some of the most impressive and interesting events from over 12,000 UFO Italian cases the CUN has in its files which occurred in Italy during the 20th century.
In promoting his new book, Pinotti has released photos that he claims are of aliens and the inside of their spaceship(seen above), that were taken in October 1957 in Francavillia, Italy where humanoid aliens began making periodic visits and interacting with the local residents starting in 1956 and lasting into the 1970’s. These visitations are known as “The Friendship Case”
The pictures were allegedly taken by two men who boarded the 79-foot spacecraft at the invitation of one of the humanlike ETs. One of the beings, wearing sunglasses to protect his eyes, showed them around the 31-foot cabin of the spacecraft and allowed a picture taken of him.
[Editor’s Note] The Friendship Case, where a group of apparently benevolent ETs befriended a group of Italians in the 1950’s, is remarkable because these ETs beings urged Earthlings to create an energy by focusing on love and friendship that would opposed the negative energy of the malevolent beings besetting our planet. I’ve included a good UFOTV YouTube documentary on the Friendship Case below (53:28).
It allegedly happened over 60 years ago and at least one government official was a witness to extraterrestrials and their spaceship, which was visited and photographed by two other people. No, this isn’t about the event you’re thinking of … and not that other one you’re thinking of either. According to a new book about UFOs set to be published next month, this occurred in Italy in October 1957 and, while known in that country, has photos that have never been revealed outside of Italy until now. Do you want to believe?
“These rare and extraordinary photographs, as well as two photographs of the alleged extraterrestrial pilot… have been published here for the first time.”
The book is called “UFO Contacts In Italy: Volume One : 1907 – 1978” and it’s described as “a limited selection of some of the most impressive and interesting events from over 12,000 UFO Italian cases CUN has in its files and occurred in Italy during the 20th century.” CUN is Centro Ufologico Nazionale, the National UFO Center of Italy. A nonprofit founded in 1966 to collect information on UFO and alien encounters. The book devotes chapters to specific incidents (“1936: Italian Air Force idroplane formation intercepts a UFO over the Thyrrenian Sea”; “1951: A CE3 with six UFO entities near Ferrara”), time periods (The early Sixties: 1961-1964”; 1957-1958 Strange Sightings) and similar groups (“WWII UFOs”). In addition to detailed reports, the book includes a number of cases that have photographic evidence.
The author of “UFO Contacts In Italy: Volume One : 1907 – 1978” is Dr. Robert Pinotti, the founder of the National UFO Center (CUN) who is considered to be a leading expert in European UFO sightings. In that capacity, he has acted as a UFO consultant for the Italian government and claims to have seen secret documents on encounters from the Italian Department of Defense.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. What about the photos?
Pinotti claims the photographs of aliens and the inside of their ship (seen here) were taken in October 1957 in Francavillia, where humanoid aliens began making periodic visits and interacting with the local residents starting in 1956. The pictures were allegedly taken by two men who boarded the 24-meter (79-ft) spacecraft at the invitation of one of the humanlike ETs, who wore sunglasses as he (it appears to be a he) showed them around the 10-meter (31-ft) cabin and allowed a picture of him wearing sunglasses to protect his eyes. Pinotti claims the photos first appeared in 1958 in a book called “Sono Extraterrestri” by Alberto Perego and have never been seen outside of Italy.
Some ufology experts will recognize this story as the so-called “Friendship case,” a decades-long series of alien encounters in and around Pescara, Italy, from 1956 through the 1970s that was covered in a 2009 documentary, “The Friendship Case,” which contained photographs (although apparently not the ones in the book) and interviews with some of the alleged hundreds of witnesses, many of whom were said to belong to Italian high society and some in government positions.
It appears that Dr. Pinotti is promoting the release of “UFO Contacts In Italy: Volume One : 1907 – 1978” to various media outlets and they have picked up on this particular story and its grainy photo of an alleged alien. However, the rest of the book looks like it will be pretty interesting and promises at least a second volume with additional sightings from 1978 to the present.
It may not be time to believe just yet, but it’s definitely time to read.

UFO researcher and author, Greg Bishop, is skeptical as to the motive of the U.S. military in December’s disclosure of the Pentagon’s $22M study of UFOs and the release of an F-18 cockpit video of a “tic tac” UFO, in concert with former government scientists and officials who left the government to join a disclosure initiative called “To the Stars Academy”.
Bishop thinks that Tom DeLonge’s ‘To the Stars’ is designed to direct attention away from something, rather than to reveal anything of substance. It may be to direct attention away from other secret programs and to “smack the hornet’s nest” to see who might react.
As a cautionary tale supporting his skepticism, Bishop recounts the tale of Paul Bennewitz. In 1979, Bennewitz lived in Albuquerque near Kirtland Air Force Base. He told the Air Force about strange lights he had seen at night over the base, moving in non-aircraft-like ways. The Air Force began feeding him disinformation and compelled him warn the public about an imminent alien invasion. The Air Force watched as Bennewitz became more and more mentally unstable. In 1988, Bennewitz received mental health treatment and he thereafter stopped discussing UFOs.
“I find it troubling that those who least trust the power structure are more than willing to accept a story when it agrees with their preconceptions. That is when we should be the most discerning and vigilant,” says Bishop.
In December 2017, the US government broke its almost-fifty-year silence on the UFO issue through its proxy-acknowledgement of a Top-Secret Pentagon UFO project called the Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program. The conclusions of the project, which ran from 2008 to 2012 at a cost of $22 million (and which continues quietly to this day), were that “aircraft” of apparently unearthly origin are routinely penetrating America’s airspace.
These aircraft, according the former head of the Pentagon project, Louis Elizondo, exhibit flight characteristics that defy the laws of our known physics. They do not belong to the United States of America, nor, apparently, to any other nation on Earth. Moreover, it emerged that the Pentagon has recovered “alloys” from UFOs which are currently being stored and studied behind lock-and-key in Las Vegas, Nevada with the oversight of billionaire aerospace industrialist Robert Bigelow.
The implications are startling, and the media are fast recognizing as legitimate a subject that for so long has served as little more than tabloid fodder. It is now (almost) official: UFOs are not only real, but potentially representative of non-terrestrial technologies. 2018 looks set to be a very big year for the UFO.
But we should proceed with our wits about us. Since 1947, US government engagement with the UFO phenomenon has been characterized almost exclusively by deception; by disinformation and perception management campaigns in service of agendas that remain as murky as ever.
Do the Pentagon’s recent UFO “disclosures” signal an imminent end to the decades of secrecy? Have the powers that be had a radical change of heart? Are they finally ready to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth about their knowledge of the UFO enigma? If you’ve answered “yes” to any of those questions, it may be your belief speaking, rather than your logic.
Greg Bishop understands better than most that things are rarely, if ever, as they seem when it comes to UFOs and the US military/intelligence community. His book, Project Beta: The Story of Paul Bennewitz, National Security, and the Creation of a Modern UFO Myth, tells the story of a sophisticated government campaign of disinformation perpetrated against one unsuspecting U.S. citizen, the effects of which rippled out across the UFO subculture and eventually reached the shores of pop-culture, significantly shaping our beliefs about flying saucers and the nature and agendas their potential occupants.
Here, Greg shares with me his thoughts on the recent Pentagon “disclosures,” and how we might better seek to solve the UFO riddle by removing government from the equation altogether and focusing instead on democratized, grassroots research.
RG: Summarise for us the disturbing case of Paul Bennewitz.
GB: In 1979, Paul Bennewitz was living in Albuquerque, New Mexico, right on the border of Kirtland Air Force Base, which was home to many secret programs. He noticed strange lights moving in non-aircraft-like ways on the Base at night, and decided to tell the Air Force.
That was a mistake. He also had a keen interest in the UFO subject and no filters at all, so he was happy to ride his beliefs to their illogical conclusions. Instead of handing him a cease and desist order, the Powers That Be decided it would be more profitable to string him along, hoping in the process to learn how he had figured out much of a coded message transmission system that had been painstakingly developed (as he was a very skilled electrical engineer) and who he was talking to as well as who was trying to talk to him. They hoped that this would reveal foreign agents and infiltrators.
Later, they began to feed him disinformation, but he believed it because he thought that he was working closely with the Air Force to warn everyone about an alien invasion. For the most part, Bennewitz provided his own narratives and details, but when the Air Force (and possibly other agencies) realized that he was becoming dangerously unstable, they did nothing to disabuse him of these harmful ideas. Concerned for his well-being, in 1988 his family placed him in a mental health facility. He recovered fairly quickly and generally stayed out of the UFO arena for the rest of his life.
RG: To what extent did the disinformation campaigns of the 1970s/80s influence the UFO subculture during those decades? Are we still feeling the effects today?
GB: I think they mainly served to keep people away from secret programs and to keep chasing their own tails. I do not think that they were perpetrated to keep researchers away from any great secret. As I see it, the main effect today is that UFO fans place far too much emphasis on the government cover up angle, which may have been at least part of the point from the beginning.
RG: What if any parallels do you see between DeLonge’s ‘To the Stars’ initiative and historical perception-management efforts?
GB: To me, it has the earmarks of an operation that is designed to direct attention away from something, rather than to reveal anything of substance. The fact that the government knows something about the subject and has been studying it for many years should come as no surprise to those interested in UFOs. I don’t think that the wider culture (especially younger people) were surprised either. The more salient point is that there is some acknowledgment of it by both the media and some places in academia because the story was published in a paper of record, even though I see it as essentially a publicity release disguised as a news story.
RG: Would you care to speculate as to possible agendas behind this recent release of information?
GB: Generally, when the intelligence community decides to move in some particular direction, it is designed to achieve more than one goal. One possible effect was mentioned in the last answer: Media outlets and academics seem to no longer see UFOs as a subject for automatic ridicule. This may serve to bring more intelligent thought to bear on the issue, which may stimulate original approaches and research with practical applications. Another reason may be to direct attention away from less obvious issues, as well as a way to “smack the hornet’s nest” and see who might react.
RG: The recent “revelations” about the Pentagon UFO program… should we be excited or concerned? Why?
GB: I think we should do neither. I believe we should watch quietly and unemotionally, but with close interest. Reacting to the news is most likely part of the agenda of those who released it.
RG: What are your thoughts on “Disclosure” in general? Is this something the UFO community should be pursuing—truth through government—or should we be following different lines of enquiry entirely in our quest to unravel the UFO enigma?
GB: I find it troubling that those who least trust the power structure are more than willing to accept a story when it agrees with their preconceptions. That is when we should be the most discerning and vigilant. It is also interesting that the recent “revelations” are closely following the myth and agenda around the UFO subject that has existed in the culture since at least the mid-1990s, with antecedents from long before that.

• David Fravor, the former Navy F-18 pilot who saw the “tic tac” UFO over the Pacific in 2004, which was captured on a cockpit video and helped to urge the Pentagon to create a $22 million military study of UFOs, insists that the UFO sighting is a part of a global problem that needs to be seriously investigated.
• Fravor initially saw the UFO hovering 50 feet above a roiling ocean. “The craft was jumping around erratically, staying over the wave disturbance but not moving in any specific direction,” said Fravor. Fravor decended toward the UFO to get a better look and it flew up to meet the F-18 jets at an incredibly fast speed. Then, as we see in the cockpit video, the UFO followed beside the F-18s, rotating as they traveled at a constant speed. (Another pilot is heard on the video saying that there were a whole fleet of these objects in the distance.)
• Fravor makes it clear that the UFO he witnessed was made with superior technology that we are nowhere near. Fravor says, “This is not a U.S. problem. This is a global issue. Why aren’t we investigating these things? If it’s like (friendly) E.T. (ie: Spielberg’s movie), then it’s all good. If it’s like (the unfriendly) ‘War of the Worlds’ or ‘Independence Day,’ (movies) then not so much,” said Fravor.
• [Editor’s Note] David Fravor is right. His UFO sighting is not a novelty. It is a reality that we have ‘officially’ denied since WWII. There are ‘good’ ETs basically monitoring our progress, and there are ‘bad’ ETs actively trying to maintain their manipulation and control over humanity in the face of our heightening consciousness. The first step in achieving a heightened consciousness is understanding this reality. Then we need to organize to determine how we will meet and overcome this challenge to bring forth a new golden age for humanity.
It was in November 2004 that the world witnessed one of the most authentic UFO sightings where US Navy pilots tracked mysterious flying objects in the skies. The advanced way in which the UFO flipped across the skies caught the attention of Pentagon, and the US Government initiated a $22 million secret project to unravel the mysteries surrounding these unknown saucers. Now, David Fravor, one of the US Navy pilots who witnessed the bizarre sighting has issued a strong warning to humanity.
A global program which should be addressed
According to David Fravor, UFO sighting is a global problem, and it should be investigated very seriously.
“This is not a US problem. This is a global issue. Why aren’t we investigating these things? If it’s like ET, then it’s all good. If it’s like ‘War of the Worlds’ or ‘Independence Day,’ then not so much,” said David Fravor, reports Express UK.
Fravor made it clear that the UFO he witnessed was made with much superior technology, and we are nowhere near it.
Recollecting the bizarre incident, Fravor said that the UFO was initially spotted 50 feet above the ocean, and at that time, water below it appeared as if it was boiling.
“The craft was jumping around erratically, staying over the wave disturbance but not moving in any specific direction,” revealed Fravor.
According to him, the unknown flying object accelerated unlike anything he has ever seen. Fravor recollects the moment in which he launched a circular descent to monitor the object closely, it started to fly up to meet the US Navy pilots.
After serving the US Navy for many years, Fravor is now working with ‘To The Stars Academy’, a UFO researching group headed by former Blink 182 singer Tom De Longe. Chris Mellon, a former Pentagon employee who has worked in National Security positions with George Bush and Bill Clinton is also a part of this team. Recently, Mellon said that the technology used in the UFO witnessed by Fravor outmatches all modern advanced flying techniques used in the Earth.

• Ever since the German Vril Society provided the blueprints for Nazi flying saucers, and the Roswell crash brought UFOs to the USA, the possibility of advanced extraterrestrial spacecraft have captured the imagination. Over the decades, a steady stream of whistle-blowers have come forward with “inside information” on free energy, reverse engineered UFOs, secret slave colonies, antigravity, and government cover-ups that, if proven true, would spark drastic and irrevocable changes to life on this planet. Here are the top ten whistleblowers who have risked everything to expose the existence of black budget space programs.
• 1) Corey Goode – Goode, who came forward in 2015, claims to have been recruited as a teenager and served for twenty years in a US Navy secret space program. Among his many revelations, Goode says that beneath the ice of Antarctica lies the ancient ruins and technology of a master race that is a hybrid of early earth humans and extraterrestrial refugees fleeing from a highly advanced but doomed planet. Goode claims that an imminent full-disclosure event will rewrite human history and usher in a new age.
• 2) Edgar Mitchell – When confronted with the majesty of outer space, the Apollo 14 astronaut experienced a profound spiritual awakening. Mitchell publicly revealed that the US government is aware of the existence of alien spacecraft and extraterrestrials who were drawn to this planet by the emergence of nuclear weapon technology during WWII, and that the government has continued to cover up this information in order to hide its acquisition of this advanced alien technology.
• 3) Karl Wolfe – The former Air Force sergeant says that he was shown a photo of a large base on the ‘dark’ side of the Moon taken prior to the 1969 Moon landing, and that NASA, the NSA, and the US Air Force have maintained a policy of destroying such photos.
• 4) Richard Doty – A former Air Force investigator, Richard Doty was recently featured in Steven Greer’s documentary “Unacknowledged” confirming the government’s knowledge of the existence of UFOs and reverse engineered technologies. However, he is also the guy who in the 1980’s fed lies and disinformation to a well-meaning US citizen, Paul Bennewitz, until Bennewitz suffered a mental breakdown.
• 5) Tom DeLonge – DeLonge changed his career from Blink-182 rock star to the founder of “To The Stars Academy”, now working with former government officials and military officers to disclose the existence of extraterrestrial UFOs. DeLonge’s group was instrumental in the December release of a UFO-themed New York Times article and a US Navy jet cockpit video of a tic tac shaped UFO. But some folks suspect that DeLonge is being used in yet another a government disinformation campaign.
• 6) Luis Elizondo – The former head of the Pentagon’s ‘Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program’ Elizondo has recently joined up with Tom DeLonge’s ‘To The Stars Academy’ to present ‘official’ evidence of extraterrestrial UFOs. Elizondo told CNN that he had seen enough during his tenure in the program to be convinced that human beings aren’t the only intelligent life in the universe.
• 7) Steven Greer – Over the course of his career, Greer has met with dozens of supposed secret space program insiders, acquired thousands of documents to back up his claims, and has founded two organizations to promote the release of secret technologies and disclosure of ET contact. Among his claims is that oil, coal and natural gas companies have actively suppressed free energy technology; that Marilyn Monroe was killed to prevent her from repeating what John and Bobby Kennedy had told her about UFO; and that the existence of extraterrestrials is kept secret from even the President of the United States.
• 8) Bob Dean – As a master sergeant in NATO headquarters during the 1960’s, Bob Dean was given a “Cosmic Top Secret’ document of NATO’s investigation into UFOs, which concluded that extraterrestrials had been visiting the Earth for hundreds of years but posed no threat. Dean thereafter retired from the military and embarked on a life-long career researching and revealing the existence of UFOs.
• 9) William Tompkins – As an aerospace engineer for top US defense contractors, Tompkins claims to have designed more than sixteen spacecraft for the Navy’s secret space program, some of which are still in use today. He claimed that negative extraterrestrials have been exploding humanity to perpetuate war and strife, while more positive ETs are attempting to accelerate our spiritual evolution.
• 10) Bob Lazar – In 1993, physicist Bob Lazar was among the first to reveal the government’s reverse engineering of UFO craft utilizing anti-matter and anti-gravity propulsion at the now notorious Area 51/S4 installation in Nevada.
Over the course of the last century, the public imagination has been simultaneously enthralled and terrified at the prospect of extraterrestrial involvement in human affairs. Ever since rumors emerged that the secretive Vril Society in Germany had successfully channeled beings from other stars in a trance state, and schematics were unveiled of what appeared to be Nazi flying saucers, the world became obsessed with the idea of communication with extraterrestrials. With the Roswell crash in 1947 and the subsequent surge of UFO sightings and apparent abductions that started taking place shortly thereafter, the collective mind became inextricably focused on the idea of ETs and their potential interaction with humankind.
Over the years, dozens of apparent insiders have come out of the woodwork with stories of free energy, reverse engineered UFOs, secret slave colonies, antigravity, and government cover-ups that, if ever proven true, would spark drastic and irrevocable changes to life on this planet for every one of its inhabitants. The advent of free energy technology alone would put a permanent end to poverty and hunger, freeing humanity from the rule of a tyrannical and corrupt elite who have foisted upon them war after meaningless war.
While some would say that such a monumental clandestine effort to explore space and research UFOs would be impossible to keep under wraps, it bears remembering that no one knew about the Manhattan Project until the first nuclear weapons were detonated over Japan and that everyone thought Operation Northwoods, the plot to stage terrorist attacks on American soil to justify invading Cuba, was a conspiracy theory until the pertinent documentation was declassified. While many of the following testimonials may seem completely beyond belief, the alleged existence of black budget space programs is one secret that these ten individuals have risked everything to expose.
1. Corey Goode
If even ten percent of what Corey Goode claims ever ends up being proven true, humanity is due for a brutal wake-up call. Goode has been making the ufology convention circuit since 2015 to share his unique message. Considered life-changing to those who believe and infinitely entertaining to those who don’t, Goode’s testimony includes assertions that he was recruited into a secret space program as a teenager and served for 20 years in a spacefaring branch of the US Navy. During his tour of duty, he supposedly had access to sources of information that paint a picture of human history very different from the one with which we’re familiar.
He alleges that Antarctica is absolutely filled with ancient ruins and that alien technology is buried just below the ice. He goes on to claim that this icy continent used to house extraterrestrial refugees that bred with humans to create a master race which once ruled the planet. Those wondering if any of these fanciful claims could possibly bear a grain of truth won’t have to wait long for confirmation: Goode and esoteric researcher David Wilcock both assert that a full disclosure event is coming soon that will utterly reframe our understanding of history and the role that planet Earth plays in the wider universe.
2. Edgar Mitchell
Edgar Mitchell of Apollo 14 fame was the sixth man to walk on the Moon and always signed his correspondences accordingly. But Mitchell became somewhat of an embarrassment to NASA later in life when his passions for meditation, spirituality, and alternative healing led him into the arms of the ufology community, and the classified information with which he had supposedly been entrusted started spilling out. Before his death in 2016, Mitchell stated that not only was the Roswell incident a real instance of a downed alien spacecraft, but the extraterrestrial entities that crashed there had been observing military tests of nuclear weapons.
Mitchell revealed to the world in an interview with Kerrang in 2008 that the government cover-up of extraterrestrial visitation and the space exploration technologies derived from recovered UFOs had begun with the Roswell crash and continues on to the present day.[10] He claimed to have been let in on this information due to his ranking position as an Apollo astronaut. NASA was quick to debunk his assertions, but in doing so, the space agency appears to have gotten a bit ahead of their skis. Mitchell never stated that NASA was involved in the UFO cover-up, but NASA still went out of their way to state that they were involved in no such activity. Mitchell also never claimed that NASA tracked UFOs, yet the space agency still felt the need to clarify that this wasn’t one of their functions, either.
Mitchell agreed with claims made by other supposed insiders that the main reason UFOs are being covered up isn’t to avoid a panic but to suppress the technologies that power these craft. When confronted with the majesty of outer space during his Apollo mission, Mitchell experienced a profound spiritual awakening that no doubt contributed to his urge to share what he knew with the public.
3. Karl Wolfe
Though hard evidence of extraterrestrial visitation to planet Earth and the existence of secret government space missions is admittedly hard to come by, this dearth of facts might be more due to governmental interference than an actual lack of documentation. According to Karl Wolfe, a former Air Force sergeant who worked in the National Security Administration, photographs taken from orbit prior to the 1969 lunar landing that depicted a vast base of the dark side of the Moon had been purposefully destroyed by elements within NASA, the NSA, and the US Air Force.
According to Wolfe, he was shown a single photograph of the base in confidence by a superior during his tenure at the NSA. Though he was duly impressed by the implications of the photo, he was more concerned than excited. He knew as a trained intelligence agent that what he had seen was never meant for his eyes and that the very existence of such a photograph endangered the life of anyone who witnessed it.
4. Richard Doty
The UFO research community has good reason to fear disinformation agents in their ranks. For years, Richard Doty made a habit of reaching out to ufologists and alleged contactees and presenting them with a proposition. Telling his gullible prey that he was with the government, he would then offer up all the secrets of UFOs in exchange for their cooperation.[8] While the effects of this disinformation campaign seem to have been largely harmless, one of Doty’s famous victims was Paul Bennewitz, an electronics engineer who lived near the base where Doty was stationed. Over the years, Doty and his team fed the UFO-seeking Bennewitz lie after lie until he suffered a complete mental breakdown.
Yet it remains unknown whether Doty was spinning a web of pure deception or whether some of his information may have been based in truth. His testimony in the documentary film Unacknowledged seems to indicate that he was indeed aware of the existence of real UFO crashes and reverse engineered technologies capable of taking human beings into the far reaches of space. But coming from the mouth of a professional government con man, anything Doty says is certainly suspect.
5. Tom DeLonge
It may simply be impossible to ever stop associating Tom DeLonge with the 1999 punk-pop hit “All the Small Things” and album titles like Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, but this former Blink-182 front man has even bigger things in mind than the band that will define the millennial generation for decades to come. Tom is the founder and CEO of To The Stars Academy, a unique initiative that seeks to blend entertainment and alien disclosure into one delicious package.[7] He’s attracted a bevy of respectable contributors to his cause and has some interesting stories to tell about the path that has led him from world-renowned rock star to aspiring NASA competitor.
According to DeLonge, his interest in UFOs dates back to his Blink-182 days, when he would spend every free moment he had on the Internet looking for evidence to prove the existence of intelligent extraterrestrials. This amateur interest somehow evolved into actual contact from government agencies, and before long, DeLonge was visiting the Pentagon and being flown around the country to meet with various generals and private interests. It seemed that the United States military industrial complex had decided to start revealing UFO information and wanted to use DeLonge as the face of their disclosure.
Suffice to say, public reception of DeLonge’s change in career has been mixed. Those who think he’s at least partially telling the truth worry that his entire initiative might be some kind of government disinformation campaign. And while there are still those who think he’s flat-out making it up, these voices have grown quieter with the addition of more and more distinguished names to the ranks of the To The Stars team and the release of the recent UFO-themed New York Times article, which he seemed to have predicted weeks in advance. According to DeLonge, the Navy video released with the article is “only the tip of the spear,” with many more disclosures to come.
6. Luis Elizondo
On December 16th, 2017, The New York Times released an article called “Glowing Auras and ‘Black Money’: The Pentagon’s Mysterious U.F.O. Program.” This investigatory piece by America’s most prestigious newspaper centered around a declassified UFO video released by the Department of Defense and the testimony of Luis Elizondo, one-time head of the Pentagon’s Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program.
The short video shot from a Navy fighter jet appears to depict a saucer-shaped object flying above the clouds before abruptly rotating sideways. Since the UFO was matching the speed of the jet filming it, the G-forces involved in such a maneuver would have been far more than a human pilot would have been able to withstand. Yet Elizondo believes there’s compelling evidence that the pilot may not have been human.
Supposedly closed down in 2012, the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program was tasked with locating UFOs in the skies and was apparently also involved in the recovery of downed craft. In an interview with CNN, Elizondo stated that he had seen enough during his tenure in the program to be convinced that human beings aren’t the only intelligent life in the universe.[6] After quitting the Pentagon in October 2016, Elizondo went on to join the ranks of Hal Puthoff, Steve Justice, Chris Mellon, and Tom DeLonge as a core member of a recently founded initiative called To The Stars Academy.
7. Steven Greer
Steven Greer has become one of the loudest voices demanding full disclosure of extraterrestrial contact, but this former trauma surgeon had other plans in mind when he first started exploring the UFO phenomenon. Accepting the supposition at a young age that extraterrestrials were visiting the Earth, he wanted to be the person to organize the diplomatic apparatus that would interface with these mysterious visitors. But decades of petitioning prominent Washington lawmakers and power brokers, appearing before the National Press Club, and serving as the main source for the recent UFO documentary Unacknowledged have pushed Greer firmly into the limelight as a dedicated antagonist of the alleged extraterrestrial cover-up.
Over the course of his career, Greer has met with dozens of supposed secret space program insiders, acquired thousands of documents to back up his claims, and has founded two organizations to promote the release of secret technologies and disclosure of ET contact.[5] Greer claims that among the technologies obtained from downed alien spacecraft is the secret of free energy, which he asserts has been kept from the public due to the immense profits made from the sale of oil, coal, and natural gas. Greer repeatedly petitioned high-ranking members of the US government to disclose what they knew about extraterrestrials until he concluded that the pertinent information was being hidden even from the president of the United States.
Since then, he has redoubled his efforts in popularizing the ET phenomenon among the public and has appeared in the documentary films Sirius and Unacknowledged. One of the more bizarre claims that Greer makes in the latter film is that Marilyn Monroe didn’t die of a drug overdose but rather was on the verge of holding a press conference disclosing everything she’d learned from John and Robert Kennedy about UFOs and was silenced before she could reveal her secrets.
8. Bob Dean
Bob Dean’s life changed forever when an Air Force colonel brusquely slapped a 20-centimeter-high (8 in) document on his desk and said, “Here, read this. This will wake you up.”[4] At least, that’s what Dean says happened one sleepy night in NATO’s War Room during his service as a master sergeant between 1963 and 1967. Usually reserved for the eyes of those holding “Cosmic Top Secret” clearance and above, the document that Dean claims to have witnessed detailed NATO’s three-year investigation into the UFO phenomenon, which employed the services of physicists, astronomers, sociologists, and theologians. According to Dean, the document concluded that extraterrestrials were not a threat to humanity and had been visiting the Earth for hundreds of years.
In his career as a professional ufologist, Dean has sought to corroborate these claims by pointing out instances of saucer-like objects in ancient cave drawings and classical pieces of art. Though it’s confirmed that he served his country for decades in the armed forces, many have disputed Dean’s unsubstantiated claims regarding his access to the NATO report. These sustained assaults on his credibility haven’t stopped Bob from making the UFO convention circuit and appearing in various interviews.
9. William Tompkins
Some knew the late William Tompkins as an avid builder of model ships. Others were aware of his work as the corporate director of North American Advanced Space Research and as a member of the Red Team at General Dynamics Corporation. Yet some researchers care less about Tompkins’s illustrious career in the aerospace sector and more about the claims he made about his involvement in a secret space program.
According to Tompkins, who wrote a book detailing his experiences in the secret side of Naval Intelligence, he was recruited before even finishing high school to back engineer extraterrestrial communications systems.[3] Tomkins also claimed to have designed over 16 models of spacecraft for the Navy at his first think tank job, some of which are apparently still in use today. He believed that extraterrestrial civilizations had been meddling in human affairs for millennia, with some factions exploiting us for warlike purposes and others attempting to accelerate our evolution. Tompkins died on August 21, 2017, in the midst of the first total solar eclipse viewable in North America in 99 years.
10. Bob Lazar
Though Bob Lazar never really wanted to be lumped in with the UFO crowd, he remains the man who ignited popular interest in the secretive Nevada military base known as Area 51. In 1993, Lazar became one of the very first purported UFO insiders to break the veil of secrecy, motivated by what he described as concerns about the way in which the UFO subject was being handled. Lazar claims to hold advanced degrees in electronics and physics from CalTech and MIT, though both institutions insist that they have no records of his attendance. An old phone directory seems to corroborate Lazar’s assertion that he once worked for Los Alamos, though any official records of employment, along with his hospital birth records, have disappeared without a trace.
Lazar reports that he was part of a team of scientists assigned to the top secret base north of Las Vegas known as S4. His work at this camouflaged base built into the sandy hillside consisted of inspecting captured extraterrestrial spacecraft for the purposes of reverse engineering. His schematics of the UFO which he calls the “sport model” look like the archetypal saucer shape replicated in thousands of toys and films. In the course of his research, Lazar discovered that the sport model, along with the other saucer-shaped craft he inspected, appeared to be propelled by amplified gravity waves.
Bob doesn’t regret coming public, but these days, he’s more focused on his scientific supply company and consulting work than he is on spreading the word about extraterrestrials. He and his wife now live in the boondocks to avoid UFO fanatics and are in no way trying to capitalize on his wild claims. Interestingly, part of his 1993 disclosure was the assertion that the antimatter engines in the UFOs that he inspected ran on something called element 115. This part of his story seemed like pure fiction until scientists were successfully able to synthesize element 115, aka Moscovium, in a lab in 2003.

• This article relates three UFO encounters, the first two occurring in Montana in 1950 and 1967, and a third in Afghanistan in 2004.
• On August 15, 1950, Nicolas Mariana filmed 16 mm color movies of two UFOs that appeared as shiny, circular craft. (see 3:25 YouTube video below) This video has withstood over sixty years of scrutiny without being debunked, and is believed to be one of the strongest cases supporting the existence of UFOs.
• In March 1967, at Malmstrom Air Force base, Montana, early morning maintenance crews reported seeing UFOs hovering over missile silos. By late morning, one of the missiles had become inoperable. Soon, all ten of the bases’ missiles became inoperable. It was found that each of the missiles had gone off alert status due to a guidance and control fault and not due to a power outage. The cause was unknown.
• Around midnight on May 10, 2004, an Army Special Forces unit of fifteen troops were on patrol near Kabul in eastern Afghanistan. Using night vision goggles, they suddenly saw a very large spherical UFO rise from behind a nearby mountain, about the size of the moon (from their perspective). It made no noise and was not visible by the naked eye. It was glowing and translucent, illuminating the surrounding area. Slowly moving at about ten mph, the UFO was about 100 yards from their base came, a quarter-mile away from the patrol, and hovering about 50 feet in the air. Their commander inside the base camp could also see the object. The patrol watched the UFO for about ten more minutes before they had to turn around and head back to base camp. The craft came to a stop about a quarter-mile northeast of their position and appeared to stop over campfire that some locals had made. The UFO then shot a beam of light at the campfire, but the patrol could not see the result as the patrol unit was driving away. They lost sight of the UFO altogether behind a hill. Then they saw it rise above the local’s campfire straight up into the night sky at a rapid speed until it was gone.
With the recent revelation by the Pentagon and their admission that there has been an ongoing program to investigate Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon; the fact that Montana has had several cases of interest within that context came to mind.
First and foremost is the Mariana UFO incident from August 1950 when Nicolas Mariana filmed 16 mm color movies of two UFOs that appeared as shiny, circular craft. It has withstood years of research conducted by a slew of investigators, including the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP), the Air Force, and Dr. Robert M. L. Baker, as well as others, without being debunked, and is believed to be one of the strongest cases supporting the existence of unidentified flying objects and remains unexplained.
Another extraordinary case in Montana happened at Malmstrom Air Force base in March 1967 when two maintenance crews reported seeing UFOs in the early morning hours over the E-Flight (missile) silos. Later that morning, one of the Minuteman missiles had gone off alert; meaning it had become inoperable. This was at one of the two sites where the maintenance crews had been stationed during the night.
Thinking this to be due to the crews doing maintenance or perhaps even neglecting their duty, crew commander, Figal, looked into the incident. Just as inexplicably, the entire flight of ten ICBMS went inoperable also; with all the missiles being reported a “No-Go” at this point. After a check was conducted, it was found that each of the missiles had gone off alert status due to a guidance and control fault and not due to a power outage. It has been conjectured that perhaps the UFO had caused the missiles to become inoperable, as the cause was unknown.
I discovered this next case, Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) Case #55741, after I became MUFON’s State Director of the Montana chapter through the Case Assistance Group. I was doing a bit of inventory and getting some background information on the types of cases that Montana had been dealing with. Even though I had been a Field Investigator for Michigan for over seven years, this was my first stint as a State Director, thus I wanted to be as prepared as I could. Montana, with its “big sky,” fewer city lights to block out the stars and breath-taking mountain ranges, is a sky-watcher’s dream and definitely different than what I was used to living in an urban area.
This incident, listed on the database as a CE-2, happened at around midnight on May 10, 2004 when an entire Army Special Forces unit saw an unknown spherical shaped object through night vision goggles while on security duty in Kabul, Afghanistan. Kabul, the largest city in Afghanistan, is the capital of Kabul Province and is located along the eastern sector of the country. It has a population of 3.3 million people and is the largest city in Afghanistan. Geographically it sits 5876 feet above sea level between the Hindu Kush Mountains along the Kabul River. The climate, which tends to be cooler than rest of the Southwest Asia due to the elevation, is semi-arid with most of the precipitation occurring in the winter months, usually as snow.
In his report, the Montana resident stated that while out on detail in Kabul, Afghanistan, he and an entire Army unit of fifteen men witnessed a UFO. The witness stated he was unsure of the exact date but felt it was around May 10th of that year. He stated that this craft was “huge” and was so close they could have thrown a rock at it and hit it. He said it seemed to come out of nowhere and floated over one of the mountains from the south which was east of the base they built. The object made no noise. The bizarre thing was that he could not see it with the naked eye, but it could be seen through his night vision goggles. He described the object has having the appearance of a light bulb but was a sphere and was about the size of the moon in comparison. He said it had a translucent appearance but was glowing, lighting up the surrounding area with its lights. When they saw it, they stopped and looked in amazement and awe.
As they watched it, it was hovering about 50-100 feet in the air, moving slowly about five to ten mph. It was about 100 yards from the outside perimeter of the base camp and as they were watching the craft, their commander was at the base camp, about a quarter of a mile to the southwest of their position. The commander could also see the object. He got on the radio and announced to the unit to “get back to work, its nothing,” meaning the craft they were looking at.
The squad leader was in the passenger seat and his friend was driving. He stated they were “pulling roaming security” from one traffic control point to the other from the south of the base to the north of their base camp. After their commander told them to go back to work, they watched this craft for about ten more minutes before they had to turn around and head back north. The craft stopped about ¼-mile northeast of their position and appeared to stop over campfire that some locals had made.
The UFO then shot out a beam at their camp, but they couldn’t see the base of the fire from where they were, just the flickering of it on the back of the mountain. They could not see what was happening down on the ground with that beam of light. In the meantime, their squad leader stopped watching and wanted to go back to work, so the specialist turned the Humvee around and they started driving north to the north T.C.P.
The witness stated he wanted to keep watching the object, but they lost sight of it when they left because a hill blocked their view; which was the same hill that blocked the beam they had seen. After a minute of driving north he observed that the object had taken off from over the local’s campsite. He stated it took off at a rapid speed, making in a 90-degree angle straight up until they could no longer see it. To him it appeared that the lights on the craft seemed to have a delayed reaction because the craft took off so fast, what he said was an alarming rate. It made dashes of light across the sky as it did, then it was gone. His report to MUFON was the first time that he had told anyone about this incident besides his family.

by Robert Hunziker January 19th, 2018 (dissidentvoice.org)
• A 2017 documentary entitled UFOs and Nukes: The Secret Link Revealed by Robert Hastings, produced by Verifiable Pictures, and featured on zoharstargate.com and the UAMN TV YouTube channel (see 48:58 video below) exposes the link between global nuclear warheads and the nimble UFOs that shut them down. The quality of first-hand witness accounts and use of declassified military documents makes Robert Hastings’ documentary highly credible.
• Robert Hastings’s father served in the U.S. Air Force, and in 1966/67 was stationed at Malmstrom AFB, Montana. A 16 year-old Hastings witnessed five UFOs hovering over a Minuteman missile site, which was also tracked on radar at base air control. That experience led him to a lifetime of research.
Information in this documentary includes:
• UFOs began showing up at American nuclear laboratories, bomb storage depots, and weapons tests grounds as early as December 1948, most notably at Los Alamos, the birthplace of nuclear weapons.
• In a July 1, 1952 edition of Look magazine, the Air Force confirmed more than 800 sightings of flying saucers with reports from outposts all across the country, including “our vital atomic installation sites.” Atomic sites were specific areas of intense interests for the odd, fast-moving saucers.
• In 1962, the commanding officer at Walker AFB near Roswell NM received a call from ground crew reporting a bright light above Missile Site Six. The UFO rapidly accelerated, instantly stopped and changed directions, like nothing they had ever witnessed before.
• In the mid-1960’s, a missile launch officer stationed underneath Malsmtrom Air Force Base in Montana received a call from a ground-based security guard that a red glowing object was hovering over the front gate. The inter-continental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) there were immediately locked into a “no-go” condition, shutting them down.
• In 1965, the commanding officer at Warren AFB in Wyoming received a call from the security control officer to report six oblong lights hovering above the gate while missile launch sites in North and South Dakota reported similar incidents.
• In 1966, an officer at Minot AFB, North Dakota reported a 100-ft long object hovering over his missile launch pads, shutting them all down.
• In 1967, hovering UFOs shut down missile launch operations at the USAF communications center in Great Falls, Montana.
• Also in 1967, an officer at Vandenberg AFB in California, filmed a saucer-shaped UFO intercept and destroy an ICBM test flight, shooting beams of light at it while maneuvering at a speed of 6,000 mph. The CIA confiscated his film.
• In 1976, security guards at Warren AFB in Wyoming reported a 50-foot long cigar-shaped white object hovering in the sky.
• Declassified documents reveal that UFOs consistently appeared at the Oak Ridge Nuclear Lab in Tennessee, the Hanford Processing Plant in Washington State, and the plutonium-manufacturing site at the Savannah River Complex, SC.
• In fact, every ICBM base in the U.S. reported incidents of objects hovering over missile facilities. Often, USAF personnel tracked the UFOs on radar performing maneuvers vastly beyond man-made capabilities. Air Force interceptors chased some of the objects in futile attempts.
• Missile sites in the former Soviet Union also experienced identical malfunctioning problems during the same time frame.
• As recently as October 2012, multiple UFO incidents have occurred at ICBM sites in Montana.
• Visitors from outer space obviously do not like nuclear weapons in the hands of humans. Any force powerful enough to shut down multiple nuclear weapon silos is so far beyond the capabilities of earthlings. Their message is clear: mankind needs to eliminate nuclear weapons.
• [Editor’s Note] It has been speculated that a mid-level U.S. Air Force secret space program recently shot down an ICBM heading toward Hawaii. But UFO monitoring of nuclear warheads has been going on since the late 1940’s, way before the Air Force had a secret space program. Could these UFO’s belong to benevolent extraterrestrials that have been shielding humanity from the consequences of nuclear war for the past seventy years?
It was July 1st, 1952 when Look magazine carried this story: “Flying Saucers— The Hunt Goes On” with the byline: “Fearful of danger from the skies, the United States Air Force is launching a secret search to discover once-and-for-all what is the mysterious, unbelievable thing Americans keep sighting overhead.”
At the time, the Air Force confirmed more than 800 sightings of flying saucers with reports from outposts all across the country, including “our vital atomic installation sites.” Atomic sites were specific areas of intense interests for the odd fast-moving saucers.
Flash forward 65 years: Interviews with U.S. military personnel validate the presence of strange UFO craft shutting down nuclear missile sites, turning the instruments off, inoperative, and overriding human controls. All of which is shocking to the nth degree!
Visitors from outer space obviously do not like nuclear stuff in the hands of humans. Otherwise, why focus on shutting down nuclear sites? Any force powerful enough to shut down nuclear weapon silos is so far beyond the capabilities of earthlings that they can dictate whatever they want. Still, why shut down missile sites? If “intention” is exposed by activity, then their message says nuclear power plants and nuclear weapons should go the way of the dodo bird.
A documentary film d/d July 2, 2017, UFOs and Nukes: The Secret Link Revealed by UAMN TV is fascinating, almost beyond belief.
There are many, many documentaries about UFOs but mostly ill conceived, unsubstantiated and horribly contrived. UAMN’s may be one of the only films that seems credible (hopefully, maybe) because of the quality of first-hand witness accounts and use of declassified military documents.
UFOs and Nukes: The Secret Link Revealed is a Robert Hastings film. He was born in Albuquerque, NM in 1950 at a military base where atomic weapons were engineered. His father served in the USAF. From 1966-67, the family was stationed at Malmstrom AFB, Montana. During one particular incident of UFO activity over a Minuteman missile site, Hastings personally witnessed five UFOs tracked on radar at base air control. That experience led to a lifetime of research. The film’s message comes thru very clearly. Humans should not be messing around with nuclear power. Didn’t Einstein also say that?
Hastings’ film is based upon declassified U.S. government documents and personal accounts of military officers, revealing that, as early as December 1948, UFOs began showing up at American nuclear laboratories, bomb storage depots, weapons tests grounds, and as time went on, intercontinental weapons missile sites.
ICBM launch officers from the 1960s and 1970s have come forward with Encounters of the Third Kind, stating that UFOs hovered over launch facilities as ICBMs suddenly malfunctioned, unable to launch or react to commands by human operators. Additionally, ground level security guards made panicky calls to underground mission control officers, informing them of the presence of unidentified circular craft maneuvering in the sky above ICBM launch silos.
In September 2010 several high-ranking retired military officers came forth in Washington, D.C. to discuss these encounters, as follows:
Captain Robert Salas, U.S. Air Force, retired in 1967, was a first lieutenant stationed at Malsmtrom Air Force Base in Montana as a missile launch officer. On March 24th a ground-based security guard called Capt. Salas to report, whilst screaming into the phone, that a red glowing object was hovering over the front gate. Immediately thereupon, the ICBMs locked into a “no-go” condition, as if a magical wand waved across the sky, shutting down the ICBMs.
Lt. Col Dwynne Arneson, retired USAF in 1967, was officer in charge of the Air Force communications center at Great Falls, Montana. In March he received a message from a junior officer that hovering UFOs had shut down missile launch operations.
Captain Bruce Fenstermacher, USAD retired from Warren AFB Wyoming 1976. Security guards reported a 50’ long cigar-shaped white object hovering in the sky. When Capt Fenstermacher later met with the security guard, he was in the fetal position and could not be calmed down.
According to U.S. unclassified documents, missile sites in the former Soviet Union also experienced identical malfunctioning problems during the same time frame.
The Freedom of Information Act revealed documents confirming, as early as December 1948, UFOs were sighted at Los Alamos, the birthplace of nuclear weapons. That same lab tested the first atomic bomb only three weeks before dropping the atomic bomb on Japan. The documents claim that UFOs consistently appeared in the area. The Oak Ridge Nuclear Lab in Tennessee also experienced UFOs, as did the Hanford Processing Plant in Washington State, and so did the Savannah River Complex, a plutonium-manufacturing site in South Carolina.
UFO sightings began to occur in earnest at U.S. missile sites as early as 1962. Lt Col Philip Moore, USAF retired Walker AFB, was in command at missile Complex Seven in charge of a launch crew for ICBMs. His ground crew reported a bright light above Site Six that rapidly accelerated, instantly stopped, and instantly changed directions, nothing like they had ever witnessed before.
Every ICBM base in the U.S. reported incidents of objects hovering over missile facilities. Often, USAF personnel tracked the UFOs on radar, performing maneuvers vastly beyond man-made capabilities. Radar operators were stunned as the objects flew at speeds of thousands of MPH, made sharp angled turns, and instantly stopped in mid air. Air Force interceptors chased some of the objects in futile attempts.
At Vandenberg AFB in 1967 Dr. Robert Jacobs (lieutenant at the time) said he witnessed a UFO intercept and destroy a test ICBM flight. He filmed the missile launches with a telescopic camera. A dummy warhead at speeds of 5,000-6,000 MPH was shot four times and destroyed by a UFO that he captured on film. The CIA captured his film.
Before the CIA took the film, Jacobs’ superior officer Major Mansmann, using a magnifier, studied the film in detail frame-by-frame. Here’s what he saw: The shape was a classic disc with a raised bubble in the center. The entire lower saucer glowed, and it rotated slowly. As it shot beams of light at the USAF dummy warhead, the saucer first positioned itself to aim and shoot, happening at speeds of 6,000 MPH.

• New information has surfaced regarding the ‘Rendlesham Forest incident’, where in December 1980, U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt Jim Penniston and Airman John Burroughs witnessed a small triangular craft that landed in Rendlesham Forest near the twin NATO airbases of RAF Woodbridge and RAF Bentwaters in Suffolk, England. Sgt Penniston got close enough to touch the craft, describing it as “smooth to the touch” and covered with strange symbols similar to ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, before it took off.
• It was known that Penniston and Burroughs were out of radio communication with the base’s Central Security Control for several hours.
• In 2010, now retired British police detective Gary Heseltine and his wife walked through the forest with the deputy commander of the base at the time, retired U.S. Air Force colonel Charles Halt, in an effort to retrace Halt’s steps during the third night of UFO activity there for a documentary that was never made.
• While a film crew shot the 2010 interview, Heseltine’s wife made a private video as well. At one point, she video recorded Heseltine walking with Halt in the forest during a break in filming. Heseltine says that he recently watched the private video again, and picked up on an interesting comment made by Halt. In the video, Halt says: “He [Burroughs] may have been abducted. Who knows? You know there is lost time, we know that. They were not on the radio … You’ve got men out in the forest …. unaccounted for hours..”
• “I did some research and realized that this admission [by Halt] had never been made public,” said Heseltine. “It’s one thing to see a UFO… but it’s quite another to suggest one of your men might have been abducted by aliens.”
• Heseltine also says that Halt told him the Suffolk airbase had the largest arsenal of nuclear weapons in Europe at the time.
A retired U.S. Air Force colonel has claimed that two airmen involved in Britain’s most infamous UFO case may have been abducted by aliens in secret video footage.
Staff Sgt Jim Penniston and Airman John Burroughs witnessed a small triangular craft which landed in Rendlesham Forest, Suffolk – in what has been dubbed the UK’s Roswell.
Sgt Penniston got so close, he even managed to touch the craft, describing it as “smooth to the touch” and covered with strange symbols similar to ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs – before it took off.
Now in secret video footage obtained exclusively by Sun Online, the deputy commander of the base at the time, Charles Halt, can be heard stating that Burroughs “may have been abducted” and that the men were “unaccounted for” for hours.
It is believed it is the first time Halt has ever made the bombshell claims – and they did not appear on his official memo of the incident which was sent to the Ministry of Defence.
The mysterious Rendlesham incident took place in December 1980 – at the height of the Cold War – in woods just outside the twin NATO airbases of RAF Woodbridge and RAF Bentwaters.
Penniston and Burroughs headed into the woods to investigate some strange flashing lights, which is where they saw the UFO.
Two nights later, the UFO returned, and Halt led a team of military experts into the woods in a bid to “debunk” the claims.
However, the military team were shocked when a beam of light from the UFO hit the ground just a few feet away.
Halt, who made an 18-minute audio recording of the incident, went on to write a memo detailing what happened which he sent to the MoD but defence chiefs said the incident was of “no defence significance.”
For years it has been rumoured Penniston and Burroughs, who were security policemen, may have been snatched by the UFO as they were out of radio communication with their Central Security Control (CSC) for several hours – but no one officially involved in the incident has ever publicly stated it.
Now former British police detective Gary Heseltine has released a video clip from 2010 – when he toured the forest with Halt for a documentary that was never made.
The video clip was recorded by Heseltine’s wife during a break in filming and shows Heseltine walking with Halt in the forest in an effort to retrace his steps during the third night of UFO activity during the 1980 incident.
In the video, Halt says: “He [Burroughs] may have been abducted who knows… You know there is LOST TIME, we know that? They were not on the radio … You’ve got men out in the forest that you can’t …. unnaccounted for hours..”
Heseltine, 57, of Scholes, West Yorkshire, told Sun Online: “My wife Lynn took quite a few video clips as we walking around the forest.
“It was only recently while watching them again that I picked up on the admission by Halt that Penniston and Burroughs had been missing off air ‘for several hours’.

• Last December, when The New York Times reported that the Pentagon had authorized a UFO research from 2007 to 2012, and the Department of Defense released a Navy F-18 cockpit video of an encounter with a UFO, some in the media were exclaiming that this was the first time that the government had acknowledged UFOs. But the belief that the U.S. intelligence community had been previously unaware of the exotic nature of UFOs is just bogus.
• The U.S. government has known about UFOs since at least Roswell (and the other New Mexico crashes) in 1947, but it chose to hide this information from the American people. A declassified Air Force document from September 23, 1947 by General Nathan Twining acknowledges reported that flying discs “are real and not visionary or fictitious” and because the discs were “evasive when sighted … Some of the objects are (intelligently) controlled.” Since then, the U.S. military has had dozens of reports from experienced military pilots, FAA controllers and ground personnel of UFOs that displayed technology far in advance of our own.
• The deep intelligence state has known for at least 70 years that some UFOs were real, yet it has chosen to keep the information confidential or denied that it even existed. When this writer called for UFO disclosure in 2008, he says that his professional colleagues in law and economics thought he had lost my mind. The Cato Institute abruptly ended its 20-year affiliation with him as an adjunct scholar the day after his first UFO article appeared.
• The decades-long policy of secrecy and denial on a subject as important as UFOs is foolish and dangerous in the extreme and puts our entire democratic process at risk. The good news is these perverse attitudes are changing somewhat. The New York Times’ Pentagon project revelations have created an important opportunity for more serious media coverage of government UFO research. We must take advantage of that opportunity now and push for open Congressional hearings and full disclosure.
On Dec. 16, three experienced journalists posted a bombshell story on the New York Times website: The Pentagon had authorized a secret research project (2007-2012) to study unidentified flying objects.
Even more importantly, Luis Elizondo, the Pentagon project coordinator and a career intelligence officer, later asserted that in his opinion some UFOs were real objects and appeared to demonstrate a technology that the U.S. did not have and did not understand. To highlight that point, the Pentagon also released “gun camera” film of a Navy pilot’s 2004 close encounter with an object that displayed wildly unconventional flight characteristics.
The mainstream media was caught completely off guard by the sensational Pentagon revelations, although they should not have been. Some breathlessly opined that never before had a U.S. intelligence agency acknowledged UFOs were solid objects that defied conventional explanation. Well, not exactly. While that assertion is true in some narrow sense, the belief that the U.S. intelligence community had been unaware of the exotic nature of UFOs until the recent Pentagon study is just totally bogus.
In point of fact, they have known about the unconventional nature of the phenomenon for decades and have chosen to hide the bulk of that information (dozens of military gun camera films, for example) from Congress and especially from the American people.
Contrary to the media coverage of the Pentagon story, the U.S. defense and intelligence communities actually have known about the exotic nature of UFOs since at least 1947. There exists, for example, a once-secret document (dated Sept. 23, 1947) written by Gen. Nathan Twining (Air Material Command) that acknowledges reported flying discs “are real and not visionary or fictitious” and that the discs “must be considered evasive when sighted … which lends belief to the possibility that some of the objects are (intelligently) controlled.”
And since the U.S. military had dozens of reports from experienced military pilots and FAA controllers and ground personnel that the discs could hover, turn on a dime and then accelerate at incredible speeds — unlike any technology that existed then or now — it was implicit even in 1947 that these flying objects were not ours.
In short, the deep intelligence state has known for at least 70 years that some UFOs were real; yet it has chosen to keep the information in support of that conclusion either confidential or simply denied that it even existed. But a decades-long public policy of secrecy and denial on a subject as important and mind-bending as UFOs is foolish and dangerous in the extreme and puts our entire democratic process at risk.

• In 1628, Governor John Winthrop brought nearly 1000 colonists from England to the Massachusetts Bay to establish a settlement in the Shawmut Peninsula which would eventually become Boston. By the beginning of 1640, settlers in the new land exceeded 20,000.
• John Winthrop kept a detailed journal. The entry marked for March 1, 1639 reads as follows: “In this year one James Everell, a sober, discreet man, and two others, saw a great light in the night at Muddy River. When it stood still, it flamed up, and was about three yards square; when it ran, it was contracted into the figure of a swine: it ran as swift as an arrow towards Charlton, and so up and down about two or three hours. They were come down in their lighter about a mile, and, when it was over, they found themselves carried quite back against the tide to the place they came from. Divers other credible persons saw the same light, after, about the same place.”
• On January 18, 1643, Governor Winthrop recorded a similar incident: “About midnight, three men, coming in a boat to Boston, saw two lights arise out of the water near the north point of the town cove, in form like a man, and went at a small distance to the town, and so to the south point, and there vanished away. They saw them about a quarter of an hour, being between the town and the governor’s garden. The like was seen by many, a week after, arising about Castle Island and in one fifth of an hour came to John Gallop’s point.”
• One week after this incident, lights were seen again in the region and, as Winthrop notes in the following passage: “A light like the moon arose about the N. E. point in Boston, and met the former at Nottles Island, and there they closed in one, and then parted, and closed and parted divers times, and so went over the hill in the island and vanished. Sometimes they shot out flames and sometimes sparkles. This was about eight of the clock in the evening, and was seen by many.”
• Winthrop notes that with this second sighting of “mystery lights”, mysterious voices were heard: “About the same time a voice was heard upon the water between Boston and Dorchester, calling out in a most dreadful manner, boy, boy, come away, come away: and it suddenly shifted from one place to another a great distance, about twenty times. It was heard by diverse godly persons.”
• Two weeks later, Winthrop notes that the voices is heard again, and attributes it to a Virginia man with “skill in necromancy” who was killed in an explosion on a ship, but his was the only body not found. “About 14 days after, the same voice in the same dreadful manner was heard by others on the other side of the town towards Nottles Island. These prodigies having some reference to the place where Captain Chaddock’s pinnace was blown up a little before, gave occasion of speech of that man who was the cause of it, who professed himself to have, and to have done some strange things in his way from Virginia hither, and was suspected to have murdered his master there; but the magistrates here had not notice of him till after he was blown up. This is to be observed that his fellows were all found, and others who were blown up in the former ship were also found, and others also who have miscarried by drowning, etc., have usually been found, but this man was never found.”
• These peculiar items in Winthrop’s journal can be considered the first instances of unexplained aerial phenomena in the New World.
Massachusetts in the early 1600s was a bleak destination, though one with promise. In the early years of the settlement of the Massachusetts Bay, Governor John Winthrop brought just shy of 1000 colonists over from England, first stopping at Salem before moving on toward the Shawmut Peninsula, where they would establish the settlement that would eventually become Boston.
Nearly 200 of the settlers died under the extreme living conditions of that first American winter. Others, if not ill from the harsh weather, were sick of the trials of settlement; a number of the disillusioned returned to England in the spring. However, with the slow growth of the settlement, living conditions improved under the labors of Winthrop and the steadily growing population of New Englanders; by the beginning of 1640, settlers in the new land exceeded 20,000.
During this first pivotal decade in the history of Massachusetts, John Winthrop kept a detailed journal of occurrences in the region, from those civic or political in nature to noteworthy religious events and other happenings.
There were other occurrences, too, which Winthrop chronicled in his journal, some of them quite curious. Such were the details of the entry marked for March 1, 1639, a portion of which read as follows: “In this year one James Everell, a sober, discreet man, and two others, saw a great light in the night at Muddy River.
The account given is a strange one, though not unlike the circumstances popularly reported in conjunction with sightings of strange lights in the skies in modern times. It was, in other words, very much a sighting of an unidentified flying object, though what the actual phenomenon witnessed may have been cannot be easily determined solely from Winthrop’s narrative. Filtered through the puritanical mindset of a pre-Newtonian world, there is indeed much left to the imagination.
There are nonetheless aspects of the report Winthrop gives us that are of interest. Of particular note had been his description of the witnesses, which may imply some degree of disorientation caused by observing the light. As the observers “found themselves carried quite back against the tide to the place they came from,” some might discern from this that something akin to “missing time” had occurred. Indeed, certain similarities to popular UFO reports of the last few decades come to mind here, namely the alleged 1976 Allagash UFO incident, where those involved claimed to have observed a light over the course of several consecutive nights, along with the requisite missing time of many UFO abductions of the era (there have been questions raised about the veracity of this 1976 UFO incident in recent years, which are beyond the scope of the present discussion).
This would not be the sole inclusion of anomalous aerial phenomena in the governor’s journal. Winthrop recorded a similar incident several years later, dated January 18, 1643, where he noted: “About midnight, three men, coming in a boat to Boston, saw two lights arise out of the water near the north point of the town cove, in form like a man, and went at a small distance to the town, and so to the south point, and there vanished away. They saw them about a quarter of an hour, being between the town and the governor’s garden. The like was seen by many, a week after, arising about Castle Island and in one fifth of an hour came to John Gallop’s point.”
One week after this incident, lights were seen again in the region and, as Winthrop notes in the following passage, were apparently “seen by many”: “A light like the moon arose about the N. E. point in Boston, and met the former at Nottles Island, and there they closed in one, and then parted, and closed and parted divers times, and so went over the hill in the island and vanished. Sometimes they shot out flames and sometimes sparkles. This was about eight of the clock in the evening, and was seen by many.”

• On March 31, 1993 at 1:15 am, a Ministry of Defence (MoD) police patrol reported a large triangular craft over the Midlands airbase (in western England) estimated as being 200 metres in diameter and flying at about 200 feet without showing up on radar. It was one of a dozen UFOs reported flying at a high speed over the skies of Britain. The craft made a low humming noise and fired a beam of light which swept the ground. It left trails of luminous vapor and sped off in a South East direction.
|
• Nick Pope, who ran the MoD’s UFO project between 1991 and 1994, believes the ‘high-profile’ event, dubbed the ‘Cosford Incident’, formed part of the US Pentagon’s Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program which ran between 2007 and 2012 and generated a 490-page report consisting of UFO sightings from across the world. (reported in December).
• Said Pope, “The Cosford Incident was the most high-profile and compelling UFO incident that took place during my time on the MoD’s UFO project in the early nineties… It is probably among the best cases in our entire archive, that goes back decades and includes around 12,000 sightings.”
In 1993, an MoD police patrol reported a large triangular craft over the Midlands airbase which fired a beam at the ground before speeding off.
It was one of a dozen UFOs reported flying at speed over the skies of Britain at the same time.
Nick Pope, who ran the MoD’s UFO project, believes the ‘high-profile’ event, dubbed the ‘Cosford Incident’, formed part of the Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program.
The programme, run secretly by the American government, operated between 2007 and 2012, but its existence was only revealed last month in December by US-based journalists.
However it generated a 490-page report consisting of UFO sightings from across the world.
Mr Pope, who wrote a report on the incident at the time, told the Express & Star: “The Cosford Incident was the most high-profile and compelling UFO incident that took place during my time on the MoD’s UFO project in the early Nineties.
“It is probably among the best cases in our entire archive, that goes back decades and includes around 12,000 sightings.
“It is inconceivable to me that this wouldn’t be one of the incidents mentioned in the secret US report. I’m sure the Americans knew all about the Cosford Incident, and maybe conducted some discreet enquiries of their own.”
On March 31 at around 1.15am, MoD officers reported ‘a vast triangular shaped craft flying at about 200ft’. The craft made a low humming noise and fired a beam of light which swept the ground. It left trails of luminous vapour and sped off in a South East direction.
Most eyewitnesses described the craft as having two white lights, but some said there was a third giving an impression the object was triangular.
In his report at the time, Mr Pope said there was a UFO of ‘unknown origin’ operating in the UK air space without showing up on radar.
He said the incident was of ‘considerable defence significance’ and recommended it for further investigation.
Although no new details have come to light, Mr Pope believes the severity of the event would have prompted the American government to carry out its own investigation.
He added: “Officials connected with the Pentagon’s AATIP project have disclosed that it (the programme) generated a 490-page report detailing UFO sightings from not just the US, but from all around the world.
“If US intelligence found any answers (about the Cosford Incident), it’s not clear whether they told British defence chiefs. I’d left the MoD by the time AATIP was set up, so I don’t know whether the Americans briefed us on their findings.”
UFO websites claimed that the event was a major indicator alien life existed.
But sceptics believed there could have been different causes. The day before the sighting, a Russian radio satellite was jetted into the sky and the debris from its rocket booster fell back down to Earth.
The severity of the Cosford Incident was made even more extra-ordinary because at the same time, dozens of triangular-shaped UFOs were reported moving at speed in the sky across western Britain. They were also reported in other areas of the Midlands on the night. One family from Rugeley even claimed they chased a UFO across the Staffordshire countryside into a field before it disappeared.
The first sighting took place in Somerset the day before at around 8.30pm, said Mr Pope.
Then at 9.30pm in Quantock Hills, Somerset, a police officer with a group of scouts reported seeing aircraft described as ‘looking like two Concordes side by side and joined together’. Mr Pope said: “The reports came in thick and fast and when I arrived at work the following morning I received a steady stream of reports.
