Pope endorses Great Reset while Vatican hides environmentally friendly technologies

On March 16, a book length interview of Pope Francis was published where he calls for the creation of a New World Order and Great Reset following the Covid-19 Pandemic. He claims that this will allow for a global redistribution of wealth from richer to poorer countries, and solve environmental problems caused by fossil fuels.

The problem with the Pope’s bold assertions is that the Vatican has secretly participated in the research and development of advanced technologies, and hidden this from the public sector for well over a century. Trump and Q on the Invisible Enemy – the Extraterrestrial Factor

There have been multiple references to an “invisible enemy” by President Donald Trump and Q (aka QAnon), which White Hats in the US military-intelligence community are presently fighting in an “information war”. While mainstream news outlets claim Trump is merely referring to COVID-19 as the “invisible enemy” that has afflicted the US and the rest of the planet, what emerges from examining the wider context of his remarks and Q posts is that the real enemy Trump is alluding to is a Deep State which has a non-human dimension that is behind the “plandemic”.

Trump’s repeated references to the invisible enemy have been noted by mainstream media outlets as merely a rhetorical flourish to combating the COVID-19 virus. For example, Jack Shafer, writing for Politico, said on April 9:

Ever since President Donald Trump made his bootleg turn on coronavirus in mid-March, finally conceding the magnitude of the pandemic, he has attempted to brand the contagion as an “invisible enemy.”

Trump first used the phrase in a March 16 coronavirus task force press conference, saying, “No matter where you look, this is something—it’s an invisible enemy.” Obviously a conscious coinage designed to add Trumpian seasoning to headlines, the president made sure to return to the phrase about a minute later, saying, “I just say this: We have an invisible enemy.”

Ever since, Trump has used the expression in letters, remarks, interviews, tweets, video blogs, but especially in the campaign-style pressers about the virus he’s been staging almost daily since his turnaround. According to the Factbase database, Trump has exploited the expression at least 44 times in what looks like his effort to anthropomorphize the virus into a sentient thing with evil intentions on mankind.

Is this what Trump is doing with his repeated references to an “invisible enemy” merely alluding to something so small it can’t be seen? Or is he referring to an invisible enemy that orchestrated the emergence of COVID-19?

Trump’s repeated references to World War II in the lead up to the following quote provides a context suggesting that he is referring to something far more sinister behind the global virus than merely an accidental natural occurrence:

In World War II young people in their teenage years volunteered to fight. They wanted to fight so badly because they loved our country. Workers refused to go home and slept on factory floors to keep assembly lines running…. We must sacrifice together because we are all in this together and we’ll come through together. It’s the invisible enemy. That’s always the toughest enemy: the invisible enemy. But we’re going to defeat the invisible enemy. I think we’re going to do it even faster than we thought. And it will be a complete victory.

The wider context of Trump’s remarks on the invisible enemy point to it as the Deep State, which he and his administration have been battling even before his Presidential inauguration.

The civil war between the Trump Administration and the Deep State is a battle between those wanting to  free humanity from an oppressive group of global controllers that has enslaved humanity through its domination of the mainstream media, and political, financial, cultural and religious institutions for centuries, if not millennia.

Authors such as as Jim Marrs, Rule by Secrecy (2001) and William Bramley, Gods of Eden (1993), have presented compelling evidence exposing the global controllers/Deep State as elite ruling bloodline families that trace their ancestry back to extraterrestrial colonists banished to Earth millennia ago. They both reveal that in humanity’s far distant past, extraterrestrials directly ruled over humanity, and then installed human-alien hybrids to rule as proxies as described in historical documents such as Sumer’s “King’s List “and Manetho’s chronicle of pre-dynastic Egyptian rulers.

These hybrid proxy rulers evolved to become the ruling bloodline families that have controlled humanity from behind the scenes using ancient knowledge and technologies handed down from their extraterrestrial overlords – Reptilian entities, according to Marrs and others.

In the 1930s and 1940s, these bloodline families gained access to more recent and powerful extraterrestrial technologies acquired through off-planet visitors attracted to Earth’s rapid industrialization, and looming development of atomic weapons.

First, Germany, Italy, and then the US, Britain, Soviet Union/Russia and China all gained access to extraterrestrial technologies that became the most highly classified secrets in their respective military industrial complexes. The advanced technologies were all developed in compartmentalized programs controlled by ruling elites who had no intention of sharing such technologies with the rest of humanity but merely appropriating them for their exclusive use.

In the US, these newly acquired extraterrestrial technologies were used to further the national and global control agendas of the ruling bloodline families. Influential national leaders who did not support the elite control agenda, such as the first US Secretary of Defense, James Forrestal, and President John F. Kennedy, were eliminated in a staged suicide and assassinated in public to warn off other national leaders from resisting the global control agenda implemented by the Deep State.

In Kennedy’s Last Stand, I explain how and why both Forrestal and Kennedy, who enjoyed a warm friendship, were killed by the Deep State for their respective efforts to disclose or gain access to classified extraterrestrial technologies, and reveal the principal figures and entities behind their respective assassinations.

Today China has been heavily infiltrated by the Deep State which has compromised its leading scientific and military institutions. It’s no accident that the epicenter for the emergence of the COVID-19 virus is China, which the Deep State has been covertly supporting since the Communist Revolution, as I explain in my book, Rise of the Red Dragon and upcoming Webinar series.

This takes us to President Trump, who was recruited by the US military intelligence community in 2015 to help free the US from the power of the Deep State, which I have discussed previously. Trump surrounded himself with both Deep State figures and White Hats to disguise his true intentions.

The contrived efforts by the Deep State to first prevent Trump from being elected, and then removing him from office is well illustrated in the Russia Collusion hoax, the sham investigation of his first National Security Advisor, Lt. General Michael Flynn, and the contrived Ukraine impeachment charges.

As we approach the November 3, 2020 election, the Deep State has finally unleashed its deck of global control cards to prevent Trump from winning re-election. The Covid-19 “plandemic” and civil unrest through a contrived race war are both driven by an incessant mainstream media narrative run by the Deep State to manipulate the general public into giving up their civil liberties. The Deep State has also arranged for major social media platforms to censor citizen journalists and alternative media, which are increasingly viewed as truth tellers by the awakening public who are disgusted by the non-stop fear porn generated by the mainstream media.

This is where Q and the global movement it has spawned becomes important for understanding the “invisible enemy” that is locked in a behind the scenes life and death struggle with the Trump administration.

Most who follow Q accept that it represents a group of individuals connected to the military intelligence community and officials that are closely tied to President Trump. Multiple images provided by Q are originals taken inside Trump’s Oval Office and Air Force One corroborating claims that the President is directly involved. Many believe that one of the signatures used by Q, Q+, is Trump himself.

Q, like Trump, has referred to the “invisible enemy” that is attempting to enslave humanity. In a June 29 post (#4545) Q wrote:

If America falls so does the world.
If America falls darkness will soon follow.
Only when we stand together, only when we are united, can we defeat this highly entrenched dark enemy….
We are living in Biblical times.
Children of light vs children of darkness.
United against the Invisible Enemy of all humanity.
Q

Clearly, Q is not referring to the COVID-19 virus, but is instead describing a powerful group of individuals and organizations, the “children of darkness” aka the Deep State.

Q also quotes in its entirety a letter addressed to Trump from the former Papal Nuncio to the US, Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano that similarly refers to the “Deep State” as an invisible enemy attempting to enslave humanity:

There are faithful Shepherds who care for the flock of Christ, but there are also mercenary infidels who seek to scatter the flock and hand the sheep over to be devoured by ravenous wolves. It is not surprising that these mercenaries are allies of the children of darkness and hate the children of light: just as there is a deep state, there is also a deep church that betrays its duties and forswears its proper commitments before God. Thus the Invisible Enemy, whom good rulers fight against in public affairs, is also fought against by good shepherds in the ecclesiastical sphere… United against the Invisible Enemy of all humanity, I bless you and the First Lady, the beloved American nation, and all men and women of good will.

Vigano equates a demonic “Deep Church” exerting a corrupting influence over honest clergymen wanting to serve humanity, with the Deep State doing the same with official government service.

Significantly, Q has alluded to a Reptilian extraterrestrial influence over the Vatican in an April 3, 2018 post (1002) that contained a meme with a serpent and the question: “If Satanists Took Over the Vatican Would you Notice”.

In an article examining Q’s post, I explain how the serpent imagery fits in with multiple insider claims of Reptilian extraterrestrials secretly controlling the Vatican.

It’s clear from examining President Trump’s repeated references to an invisible enemy, and similar references by Q and Archbishop Vigano, that he is referring to the Deep State as the true threat to humanity. An examination of the individuals and groups comprising the Deep State reveals a significant extraterrestrial factor in its origins and operations.

If Trump and White Hats succeed in defeating the Deep State, humanity will have freed itself of an ancient invisible enemy that has manipulated human affairs through contrived global events for centuries if not millennia. We are truly living in biblical times, as Archbishop Vigano asserts, where the children of light are locked in a spiritual war against the children of darkness.

QAnon reveals Vatican Rothschild Reptilian Connection behind the Deep State

In a recent series of posts, the anonymous whistleblower (group) QAnon made an important connection between the Vatican, Rothschild family, and Reptilian symbolism. Many followers of QAnon, who fall into the camp of Christian patriots, perceive the connection as exposing an other-worldly Satanic influence over the Vatican, the Rothschilds, and other forces making up the Deep State.

Closer analysis, however, suggests that what QAnon is really referring to by the symbolism is a very physical “this-worldly” influence over the Deep State: Reptilian extraterrestrials.

To begin with, I need to point out what has become very clear to those closely following the QAnon posts, which first appeared on October 28, 2017. QAnon represents several military intelligence officials who are leaking sensitive information in a cryptic and coded manner due to the pervasive influence of the Deep State over many institutions of political, financial and cultural power.

QAnon’s close relationship with President Donald Trump has been demonstrated in various public ways. This has signaled he supports the QAnon revelations and is very familiar with who is really behind the Deep State attempting to sabotage his Presidency. In regard to Deep State efforts to sabotage the Trump Presidency, I highly recommend reading Dr. Jerome Corsi’s book, Killing the Deep State.

We are now ready to take a closer look at what QAnon is saying about the Vatican, Rothschilds and the Reptilian connection.

On April 3, QAnon made the following post where he attached an image posted by another anonymous source asking the question, “If Satanists took over the Vatican would you notice?”

The image was of an auditorium built by the Vatican that was completed in 1971, with a seating capacity of 6,300. Named the Paul VI Audience Hall, it is filled with Reptilian imagery, and clearly alludes to a powerful influence exerted by such beings over the Vatican.

In the following video, the narrator gives five reasons why the Audience Hall’s symbolism leads to the conclusion that the Vatican is run by Reptilian beings.

So does the symbolism in the Paul VI Audience Hall really show Reptilian control over the Vatican?

QAnon helps answer such a question by his response to the posted image: “Symbolism will be their downfall, MONEY. POWER, INFLUENCE.” By emphasizing symbolism, QAnon is saying that we need to closely examine the Reptilian imagery in the picture in order to really understand who controls the Vatican.

QAnon’s reference to “MONEY, POWER, INFLUENCE” points to a nexus of actors that underscore control of the Vatican. This is where another QAnon post becomes helpful in understanding this nexus of actors.

On April 4, QAnon posted the following:

He pointed out that the Vatican Bank (Institute for the Works of Religion) is at the fulcrum point of its financial influence through its shady relationship with the CIA (“Clown connection”).

Indeed, this close relationship between the Vatican and the CIA gave rise to Operation Gladio that was targeted against left wing organizations that threatened to tear Italy away from NATO, towards a closer relationship with the Soviet Union. To understand the Vatican’s role in Operation Gladio, I highly recommend Paul Williams book, Operation Gladio: The Unholy Alliance between the Vatican, the CIA, and the Mafia.

However, QAnon’s most intriguing reference was to the 1832 Rothschild loan. QAnon suggested here that the 1832 loan made the Vatican dependent on Rothschild financing at the time, and this dependence continues into the modern era. This is not surprising since at the time, the Vatican was desperate to maintain its diminishing temporal authority over the remaining territory of the Papal States (754-1870), which was increasingly being challenged by Italian secular nationalists.

It was this effort to maintain political control over the Papal States that made the Vatican increasingly dependent on the Rothshchilds, who could move their agents into senior positions in the Catholic Church hierarchy. This included the Sovereign Military Order of the Knights of Malta, which continues to be a powerful force that links Rothschild finances with elites drawn from around the world.

QAnon is telling us that the Rothschild family influence is very important for understanding the financial power behind the Deep State, and how the Vatican is a key player in all this. However, there is more to the Rothschild family than simply possessing financial influence over the Vatican.

This is where it becomes very helpful to recount a story told by a former U.S. Air Force doctor, Bill Deagle, M.D., who described in a Project Camelot interview a mysterious encounter he had with a leading member of the Rothschild family, Baron Guy De Rothschild, in 1992:

I woke up in the middle of the night, bolt upright, and I sat up. And I had all the lights on because I’d have to periodically go to the restroom or whatever. I had all the lights on. And this guy was standing in front of me with what I call a $5,000 tuxedo, not a gray hair in his head, mid-50s, slim and trim.

I said: How did you get in here?

And he says: It’s wonderful to see you, my son.

I said: You’re not my father.

And I looked at this guy, and he looked like French nobility. Right? And I said: Who are you?

He says: I am the Baron Guy de Rothschild, the Pindar.

And I had this really kind of, what I call a check or a kind of a cringe in my spirit. And I knew right away, because I have this gift. Right? Without getting into a big long discussion, I knew right away.

I said: I know who you are. You’re the representative of the Luciferic power that controls Earth.

He says: Yes, I am the CEO of Earth, Inc., and I am the man that sits in the 13th chair of the Druidic Council. I want you to be my understudy, and when I transcend I want you to take over my job.

And I said: No, I’m not going to.

He said: We know your bloodlines; we know your genetics; we know everything about you and you’re a perfect replacement for me.

And I said: No!

What is interesting here is Rothschild’s claim that he was the “Pindar” and was the “CEO of Earth, Inc”. This suggests that he is merely running the Earth on behalf of others, but who?

For an answer, we can look to information about the Pindar supplied by British researcher David Icke. Icke wrote about the Pindar in The Biggest Secret after interviewing a former participant in Satanic occult ceremonies, Arizona Wilder. Icke wrote:

Pindar means ‘Penis of the Dragon’…  Arizona says that Pindar, like all the reptilians when they shape-shift, has very powerful hypnotic eyes (the ‘evil eye’ of legend) and at sacrifices the victims face is turned to Pindar at the moment of death for him to steal the person’s soul or energy through this ‘evil eye’ magnetic process…. Pindar attends the major Satanic ceremonies in Europe and then flies to California for the rituals there. [pp. 302-3]

The idea that a high ranking member of the Rothschild family, Guy de Rothschild, was a shape shifting Reptilian, or a hybrid of some kind, will come as to a shock to many who disbelieve that extraterrestrial life is a physical reality on Earth. 

This disbelief will be markedly the case for those coming from a Christian background, who ascribe the Satanic/Luciferian influence on Earth to other-worldly demonic entities associated with Hell, as described in Biblical passages.

However, only last week, Pope Francis declared that there is no Hell! In an interview, he was quoted saying:

They are not punished, those who repent obtain the forgiveness of God and enter the rank of souls who contemplate him, but those who do not repent and cannot therefore be forgiven disappear. There is no hell, there is the disappearance of sinful souls.

While the Vatican immediately tried to walk back the Pope’s comments, his intent was very clear. Hell is no mere spiritual dimension where Satan rules and acts as a distant, but disruptive, influence on Earth through his legion of demonic spirits.

The Pope has clarified that Hell is a very physical reality and corresponds to the world created around us by sinful souls participating in Satanic rituals involving human sacrifice and pedophilia. The implication here is that Satan is a very physical being who is present on Earth, and has overlordship of the planet through hybrid intermediaries, such as the Pindar, which collectively make up the Deep State. 

In making his statement about Hell, Pope Francis appeared to be breaking ranks with the Vatican hierarchy, and alluding to the awful truth about covert Reptilian influence over the Catholic Church in a very physical and tangible manner.

Further evidence of a Reptilian influence over Deep State officials involved in human sacrifice, comes from another former participant and victim in these dark ritualistic events, Cathy O’Brien. Her book, Trance Formation of America, shows the widespread belief of many political elites in secret Reptilian overlords.

In addition, John DeCamp’s book, The Franklin Coverup, reveals how pedophilia and human sacrifice is used to compromise upcoming political leaders into a corrupt system in Washington DC.

If we connect all the threads emerging from QAnon’s reference to the Vatican, Rothshchilds and Reptilian symbolism, then we reach some very disturbing conclusions.

The Vatican is largely under the influence of Reptilian extraterrestrial entities that have chosen to reveal themselves through symbolism, as found in the Paul VI Audience Hall.

Satan is one or more members of an extraterrestrial Reptilian race that has secretly ruled over humanity for centuries through human or hybrid intermediaries.

The Rothschild family is deeply implicated in this confluence of Satanic forces involving the Vatican and Reptilians, and one of its members plays the role of the Pindar, CEO of Earth, reporting to something like a Reptilian Board of Directors.

QAnon’s frequent references to the evil of the Deep State, and allusions to Satan and Satanic practices, is his careful way of referring to Reptilian entities who have historically dominated the Deep State though a subservient clique of political, financial and cultural leaders. These elite figures have been compromised through their participation in rituals involving human sacrifice, as the condition for their elevation to high office.

We now finally have an explanation for why QAnon (U.S. Military Intelligence), despite clear Trump White House support, has to communicate using cryptic and coded language about its ongoing operations to “Drain the Swamp”. QAnon is methodically exposing the historic power behind the Deep State – a very physical Reptilian extraterrestrial force – which still has influence through a subservient clique of leaders wishing to ingratiate themselves with their Reptilian overlords.

While many may be skeptical of the above conclusions, it does appear that QAnon believes that the time is ripe for the American Patriot community to be finally awakened to the truth, and therefore become active in exposing what really lies behind the Deep State in order to end its corrosive influence over human affairs.

The Secret Space Program, Bariloche and The Vatican

The world gets more curious everyday.  Besides the fact that Syria might become in 2018 what Spain was in 1936, a testing ground for various political forces that preceded World War II, we have fascinating pronouncements from the Vatican as well as the unusual travel of folks like Rex Tillerson and Jeff Bezos.
 
According to Michael Salla and Joseph P. Farrell, both Secretary of State Tillerson and multi-billionaire, space entrepreneur Bezos, who owns the (CIA linked) Washington Post, traveled to the Patagonia region of South America that may have been the lair of Adolf Hitler  after WWII.
 
That unique venue has been the host to many top political figures over the years including Presidents Eisenhower, Carter, Obama and Clinton.  It is linked to both the Nazi secret bases in Antarctica as well as the destination of many top Third Reich Germans after WWII.
 
The nearly simultaneous arrival of both Tillerson and Bezos perked the interest of top Secret Space Program journalists Salla and Farrell who speculate that the events may be related to the unusual activities in the Patagonia and Antarctic regions. 
 
Political analyst Ben Fulford suggested that military and space technology secrets from the German’s Antarctica program may be released in the near future as the real reason for the visit by the two men last week.
 
The entire matter remains wrapped in secrecy which adds to the mystique of the subject of UFOs that has long been associated with alleged German bases in Antarctica as part of what Jim Marrs called the Fourth Reich. 
 
Adding pieces to the puzzle and further stimulating the imagination of those fascinated with the topic is the statement by a top Vatican official that an “alien god created humans” through genetic manipulation.  Putting that in the context of Pope Francis stating he would baptize aliens if they came to the Vatican makes it hard to dismiss as being a random comment by a rogue bishop: 

Pope Francis has also shown some zeal in embracing Communist China as the model for achieving the social doctrine of the Church.  (Maybe the Red Chinese are really aliens who are preparing to be baptized into the Church.)  

What we do know according to Salla and Farrell is that the Chinese are working with the Argentine government on space projects in Patagonia where Bariloche is located.
 
These are interesting times of dramatic change.  It is difficult to be clear on much of what is actually transpiring in public life today because of all the fake news and propaganda designed to serve the special interests of governments, multinational corporations and large religious institutions.
 
We will just have to wait to see how this all works out and where the truth lies as we attempt to digest the various activities and words of our leaders.

The Catholic Church and Extraterrestrials: An Evolving Personal View

Can exopoliticians orient major religious institutions if intelligent extraterrestrial life is publicly verified in a way that cannot be rationally denied? We need to know something about theological thinking outside conspiracy theories.

Our exopolitical thinking requires fine-tuning regarding how we understand major institutions such as the Catholic Church. Thus far, this church has had many progressive, open-minded proponents that reconciliate faith and the possibility of finding intelligent extraterrestrial civilizations.

 

Ted Peters, a professor of systematic theology at the Graduate Theological Union found in a landmark survey that the leaders of several well-known religious institutions (especially conventional and moderate ones) felt at ease with the possibility of discovering an intelligent extraterrestrial presence and I don’t think that most of the intellectual and theological leaders within the Vatican curia and the Roman Catholic Church in general would be any different. When I asked Jesuit brother Guy Consolmagno (astronomer from the Vatican Observatory, curator of the Vatican’s meteorite collection and author of “Would you Baptize an Extraterrestrial?” if he was aware of the possibility the Church is preparing for discovering ET life, ET contact happening right now or even disclosure he said that – judging from a few direct interactions with the highest Pontiff – he surmised that the Pope (back then Benedict VI) most likely wasn’t particularly interested in the ET subject. That was a bit of a cold shower, especially coming from one of the men that affirmed that, if an intelligent, rational extraterrestrial requested baptism, he would baptize him. His book “Would you Baptize an Extraterrestrial” is kindly and emphasizes (in Aristotelian and Thomas Aquinas fashion) the importance of rational capacity.

 

Pope Francis I also seems to share the idea that he would baptize an ET given the conditions Guy Consolmagno refers to. But we must realize that this has already been thought by theologians in the Catholic Church before and – however important – doesn’t qualify as an astounding “new concept.” The important detail is that they do not find an essential contradiction between discovering intelligent extraterrestrials and the faith or doctrine and this is a favorable position in terms of the possibility of disclosure.  The fact that it has often been said that “religions would crumble” if the truth be known may not be as clear-cut as is often simplistically assumed.

It is well-known that the main astronomer at the Vatican Observatory, Father Gabriel Funes, also accepts the possibility of extraterrestrial life (albeit he doesn’t seem to believe it is going to be discovered soon) and that he holds a conservative theological position about Christ’s only incarnation on Earth as a one-time event valid for the whole universe.  Each time he has said anything about this there’s been much speculation and has been interpreted as if the Church were secretly preparing for disclosure or (now that Funes said he doubted ET life would be discovered soon) that – until a gradual educational campaign took place – there were reasons for still keeping it under wraps.

 

While it is reasonable to posit that some within the curia should know more and deal with the ET subject, it seems that many or most of the public figure leaders are kept “out of the loop” besides, quite simply (as most politicians and academics elsewhere) not being personally inclined to find out or to know more. Moreover, if those “in the know” would have psychologically denied, suppress or repress actual knowledge of ET life on Earth and thus preferred not to have known, and if they are currently making important exopolitical decisions representing a citizenry (and perhaps us all), they may not be the right persons to do it…and they may naturally extend that distaste for challenging truth by ridiculing/de-legitimizing the situation, generating doubt, confusing information and keeping us from clearly knowing about it. It would be a psychological projection onto us, perhaps acting like “social superegos” to keep us from knowing. Just like they were not ready to know about it when they were “briefed” they project onto us assuming that we would not be able to handle it).

 

I think that the need to control the truth is not just a psychological projection but also largely linked to a traditional way of thinking and being in the world, a win-lose, dichotomous, two-value way of processing information, feeling and judging; one closely associated with survival instincts adequate for a physical world limited to classical laws. The ET truth challenges that increasingly outmoded, crude, physical survival-based way of thinking which is also present in a theology that emphasizes God as a thoroughly independent and distant-transcendental, perhaps authoritarian, be saved or condemned, strict, law-giving Father figure.

 

That said, there also are good indications that special” statements by influential Church representatives have at least been allowed by “those in the know” to continue for some time; the most notable being those repeated statements by Monsignor Corrado Balducci who was allowed to continue speaking theologically about the hypothetical position occupied by (at least some) extraterrestrial beings in the order of creation. Balducci, exorcist, theologian and personal friend of Pope John Paul II affirmed during several interviews in the 1990s that the experience of people having contacts with extraterrestrials is real and that we should respect human testimony much more.

Having had some priest friends from different orders I think that, generally speaking, they – especially encumbered priests – have enough respect from their superiors and personal freedom to be able to speak their own opinion regarding ET life if need be…especially if that doesn’t contradict Church teachings. And for the most part, speaking about intelligent extraterrestrial beings has become a respectable (even if still interspersed, partly avoided and somewhat controversial) tradition.

Theology About Extraterrestrials

For instance, upon researching a little bit, I found that considering extraterrestrials is not something new. Influential Catholic theologian and priest Karl Rahner uses the term “Star Inhabitants” admitting the possibility of other salvation stories and multiple incarnations of the Word.

Influential Catholic theologian and priest Hans Kung also wrote that the possibility of other intelligent life in the Universe had to be granted.

XV Century Franciscan theologian, defender of Duns Scottus’ theology Guillaume de Vaurouillon proposed that Jesus Christ’s sacrifice had a universal value, in case other rational, intelligent beings exist in the cosmos.

The Dominican friar and renowned theologian Thomas O’Meara considers in his works titled  “Vast Universe” and “Christian Theology and Extraterrestrial Life” that Thomas Aquinas left the door open for the possibility of a Holy Person of the Trinity to extend salvation to other intelligent beings in the Cosmos and that we shouldn’t limit what the divine can or cannot do, including the possibility of a further divine incarnation. Back in the Middle Ages, Dominican friar Tommaso Campanella said that extraterrestrial civilizations would not have suffered from “original sin” but perhaps of another type of sin proper to them. Tommaso Campanella, along with another Dominican friar, Giordano Bruno were some of the proponents of the “plurality of worlds.” For some of his views, Bruno was burned at the stake but the Church has recognized that as a mistake.

 

The Jesuit priest Domenico Grasso theologian at the Pontificial University of Rome said Why would all the perfection that God granted so vastly to the universe be hidden without declaring His glory? Who writes a book that is never going to be read?” He also mentioned famous German theologian and Dominican priest Joseph Pohle who in 1904 wrote “Celestial Worlds and Their Inhabitants.”

Father Pohle wrote, “It seems that the purpose of the universe is for its celestial bodies to be inhabited by beings that reflect God’s Glory in the beauty of their bodies and worlds just as man does it in a limited way in his world.” Commenting on that position Domenico Grasso adds “But these are not angels since angels are pure spiritual beings and can only perceive matter indirectly, just as we can only perceive the world of spirit indirectly.”

As a comment, I’ll add that, here a distinction is being made between “pure spirits” or incorporeal angels and other types of material beings. And, technically-speaking, since humans can also be considered as material “angels” in the sense of messengers doing good and acting in the name of God, technically-speaking this could be extended to at least some possible extraterrestrial varieties according to their orientations and actions.

 

XIX Century erudite priest Januarius de Concilio in his book “Harmony Between Science and Revelation” also wrote in favor of extraterrestrial beings as creatures “with intelligent substances united to some type of body.”

 

Father Theodore Zubek in his article “Theological Questions on Space Creatures”published in 1961 The American Ecclesiastical Review said that the extraterrestrial beings not mentioned in the Holy Scriptures are also not forbidden by them. This recognizes that many things that can be discovered are not necessarily mentioned in the Bible nor precluded by it. Zubek posited that extraterrestrial beings not descending from Adam and his sin would not inherit original sin.

 

The Dean of the “School of Sacred Theology” of Catholic University, Father Francis J. Connell wrote the essay titled “Flying Saucers and Theology” and said, “It is good for Catholics to know that the principles of their faith are entirely compatible with the most incredible possibilities about life on other planets.”

Vatican astronomer and theologian Giuseppe Tanzella-Nitti said that “Chirstias do not have to renounce their faith in God because of unexpected information of a religious nature regarding extraterrestrial civilizations.”

Father George Coyne SJ, former Director of the Vatican Observatory asked why wouldn’t God also save extraterrestrials from sin.

Attorney Daniel Sheehan who was General Counsel for the Jesuit Order in the U.S. between 1975-1977 recently predicted that the Vatican would disclose knowledge of an extraterrestrial presence after Pope Francis “Laudato Si” encyclical focused on protecting the Earth ‘s life forms and ecology and condemning excessive, abusive capitalism. His prediction was misstated as saying that he knew the Pope would disclose the ET presence in June 2015. It was confounded with Mr. Sheehan also speaking about the Jesuit’s general scientific and theological “call” to prepare for the probable discovery of life outside Earth (one of the reasons for which the 2009 astrobiology conference was organized by the Pontificial Academy of Science and the Vatican Observatory). Whether the Church (does anyone represent “The Church” as a whole?) is – under some circumstances – speaking about human-type aliens, I don’t know but I doubt it. Perhaps contactee and mystic George Adamski did indeed meet with Pope John XXII as he claimed and perhaps that Pope indeed met with human-looking extraterrestrials as his personal secretary Loris Francesco Capovilla is reported to have reminisced, but I don’t have the actual source of that information.

 

Some Personal Evolving Evaluations

I do NOT think that “Jesus was an extraterrestrial” or that “extraterrestrials are going to replace God” or easily accept similarly superficially said blanket statements about the theological implications of discovering extraterrestrial life and – in particular – intelligent, rational, technological extraterrestrial life (however advanced they might be with respect to us). Instead, I think that we need to think more carefully about all these matters. We need to learn to think integratively, with greater nuance, finding a shared essence, shared metaphysical principles, common patterns, connecting (not reducing or subsuming the major tenets of spiritual traditions) under an integrative methodology.

What I agree along with some other theologians is that articles of faith will not be thrown into the bin. Instead, they would expand and mature in order to include the discovery of rationally intelligent extraterrestrial life and of other forms of life in general (a “second Genesis” even if not related to self-conscious, rational and technically proficient life?).

Even if it were true that extraterrestrials intervened our genetics in our past, that wouldn’t mean that they would replace God or that God doesn’t exist or that Creation didn’t happen because, as contingent beings, the former would act “in time” and the latter (GOD) “outside of time” or rather, “sub specie aeternitatis” (“under the category of eternity”). Thus, metaphysically-speaking, God (a lofty, non-dual, understanding of this term as Source of all being and existence) would have “created” and, still, continuously creates unchanged, “dreaming the cosmos” (Panentheistically and as per our mental understanding within time).

 

God would have also created extraterrestrials who may have the capacity to choose to forget their deepest connections with Source, thus to err or to “sin” with various degrees of depth (making spiritual mistakes) thus thinking or acting in ways that may strengthen or dilute their closeness to God.

They would certainly not be perfect and some would be closer to God’s ways than others but – logically speaking – all would truly be our brothers as other intelligent beings dependent on the same Absolute (our common Source) for their contingent existence. However, what would also have to be considered is (from a Catholic perspective) if “original sin” (beyond a literal interpretation) would only apply to Earth humans, to all other types of “humans” (beings capable of rational choice) in the Cosmos and furthermore, if the Logos only manifested in all the vastness of the Cosmos as Jesus Christ on Earth. Or perhaps, a Father Thomas O’Meara suggests we shouldn’t limit what the Logos can or cannot do, as the Logos can manifest/incarnate through any other limited rational being/also-spiritual-master-and-prophet (in human or perhaps even non-human form) as need be for the spiritual salvation of other specific planetary civilizations. Thus, in a way, the same reconnecting, salvific Intelligence manifesting through different relative, contingent rational vessels could be considered as applicable to extraterrestrial civilizations according to context as need be.

Perhaps some theologians would be able to uphold their faith while considering that the “angels” allegedly encountered by Abraham were flesh and blood and human-looking beings and not “pure spirits.”  I don’t know but I truly hope so as many human-looking ETs (albeit not necessarily all of them) would (according to various contactees) make good friends of the Earth-human family. It would also be easier to initiate contacts with them. Furthermore, I hope that the likelihood of an actual extraterrestrial presence already on Earth is officially (rather than covertly) dealt with besides dealing with the extraterrestrial issues only being backed up by formal astrobiological discoveries.

 

In Catholic theology and in the theology of other monotheistic religions human creation is considered to be a unique event and in the Catholic tradition, a creation deserving “salvation” by God’s only begotten Son. But what is the deep meaning of “salvation? How far can our interpretations go? Can other beings – similar and not similar to the human form – be legally considered “human?”

If intelligent extraterrestrial life is discovered either through the exploits of astrobiology, contacteeism, SETI, official disclosure, grassroots contact and “citizen diplomacy” efforts or if “they” (the ETs) make themselves known, theology and doctrine will have to accommodate that reality. In doing so, a more common integrative ground will possibly have to be found sharing essential ideas from various religious doctrines and spiritual, scientific, esoteric and philosophical ideologies. A common basis will have to be found to coordinate apparently incommensurable ideas.

By reading the theological positions of several theologians as the ones previously listed, I think that (in case either “the Vatican,” another institution, world events or someone else of world recognition and stature reveals the extraterrestrial presence) the concept of humanity’s uniqueness, original sin, and the role of Jesus Christ’s “salvation” will have to evolve, include more, go to the utmost mystical depths of their dogmas and complexify, transcending monotheist Christian traditions and other monotheist traditions in order to allow a conversation integrative space for all benevolent spiritual earthly traditions, also considering the existence of extraterrestrials once it is also recognized that they are neither simply good or evil “pure spirits” nor that all of them are alike.

Regarding who is to be considered as “HUMAN,” the issue goes beyond biology and I think that several theologians (including Jesuit Brother Guy Consolmagno and Dominican theologian Thomas O’Meara, both inspired by Thomas Aquinas) would agree that it is alright to extend this category to extraterrestrials not only if they are rational but if – as children of the same Source – we and God can befriend, admire, respect and… LOVE them.

 

The Catholic Church, as well as its Vatican, is not a monolithic, single-headed organism (just like “the U.S.” and “Washington” aren’t) but they are often assumed to be so. After my experience as an advisor to an official institution, I’ve noticed that large, traditional state institutions are naturally and extremely easily found suspect of covering up the UFO phenomenon and the extraterrestrial presence. But the situation is, quite likely, more complex.

 

There’s a tendency to overgeneralize on all sides of the human political equation between and among political groups. Outsiders that feel that they are living to promote a non-orthodox cause (like some pro-disclosure activists, left-wing revolutionaries) also almost always speak of “the U.S.” as though it were a monolithic empire where most leaders confabulate to manipulate the rest of the world. But the trees are mistaken for the forest. In other words, as a tendency of the dichotomous mind, judgmental exaggerations about formal institutions of power are way easy to make when one is on the outside. As inheritors of a hunter-gatherer mindset, we tend to distinguish ourselves tribal-like from others in an exaggerated way.

 

I really suspect that elements within the Catholic Church are privy to information about the UFO and ET presence but, could it be like what the immensely dedicated disclosure and contactee Dr. Steven Greer tells in his lectures that, not even CIA directors are privy to the best information regarding UFO’s if they have no “need to know?”

 

Now let’s get a bit more philosophical and theosophical. Theoretically speaking, “the Church” is most essentially composed by all baptized individuals but the Vatican curia leads/orients them allegedly guided by the Holy Spirit as per its doctrine. However, if we consider that “the Vatican” or key members within also orient UFO research, its secrecy, considerations, and possible disclosure, I suppose that only a few high-ranking members would actually deal with these matters. They might be associated to the intelligence ranks within the Church.

This (parallel or included?) “special” social entity might be represented by those whose opinions would be relevant in case a massive, undeniable sighting were to occur. We may perhaps be referring to some of the most powerful decision-makers such as the Pope, or perhaps only to a few cardinals and bishops, or Jesuit priest researchers but I suppose that whoever really knows in a transnational sense in association with those in the known in Europe and the U.S. would need to have a “need to know” clearance. Following patterns from elsewhere, they might even be told that what they are participating in doesn’t officially exist.

So, perhaps asking who in “the Vatican” makes decisions above the official curia is like asking who rules the U.S. as per decisions being (perhaps extraconstitutionally) made about the extraterrestrial presence.

 

Exopolitical Highlights at the VI World UFO Forum at Foz de Iguazu – Brazil

The field of Ufology is moving forward and EXOPOLITICS is also becoming more recognized and talked about in this move. At the well-led forum by Mr. A.J. Gevaerd, the “Foz de Iguazu Letter 2014” intended for Brazilian representatives and senators was perfected and signed to ask them to begin to openly discuss UFO issues. The forum’s emphasis was on the social implications of the extraterrestrial presence. There also was an emphasis in speakers that proposed using effective psychic and “espirita” (spiritist) means to develop verifiable human-extraterrestrial interactions.

While there were several outstanding researchers (like France’s CNES’ Jean Jacques Velasco and Professor Erling Strand of the Hessdalen Project and Østfold University College) objectively substantiating the high probability of advanced, intelligently directed objects behind some UFOs, definitely the tenor of the event was not about whether the ETs might be here but about moving forward now that it was clear for most researchers that they were. Next (from notes taken personally at the conference) I’ll give a few summaries of three specific presentations more specifically relevant to exopolitics.

First reactions

Are they similar to us? Are they intelligent but non-human? What are their goals? Are they benign or malignant? Are we safe?

Handling of disclosure information

Will it be handled stealthily? With how much aperture to the public? Will only a few of the secrets held be given to the public or all of them? Will this information be given voluntarily? A total radical aperture including the good and the bad?

What will happen with the political conflicts around the world? Will some be set aside to face as a species the new challenges? Ufologists will become important.

If there’s a partial (controlled) aperture it may be because governments fear a generalized panic. How will the world financial markets be affected? How will they be affected by extraterrestrial technology thereafter?

Most likely there’ll be a “false,” deceiving aperture because “nothing is certain in a trillion dollar industry filled with cover-ups. But changes do take place. Perhaps the population will have about 6 days to digest information that will change life forever.

Martial Law will be declared in a number of places in the world. The media will say that UFO stories were true after all. INTERNET will be working at maximum capacity. There will be some technical problems.

In Budhism, Hinduism and Spiritism there’s belief in extraterrestrial existence. Some other religions may have a problem with that.

There will be opposing and favorable opinions about ufological opening. Opposing: More armament will fall into aggressive hands. In favor: Technology can help people.

By the time of that dialogue/controversy perhaps more will be known about who the ETs are and what they want?

Who are they and what do they want?

Are they a threat or are they friendly? Are they in fact “extraterrestrials?” Are they intelligent machines? Are they terrestrial entities? Are they “extra” or ultradimensionals? Are they angels or demons? Are they time travellers? Are they from the future and cannot interact with us openly so as not to alter the future?

Are we like laboratory rats? Are they in a rescue mission? Do they want our DNA? Do they want to create a new type of species and-or save their own species? Do they want to eat our meat perhaps like the mutilated cows? Some evidence indicates that they were alive when they were eaten. 30,000 persons disappear every year.

Do they want our souls? Do they want our “oasis” planet? Perhaps they want nothing? Do they have empathy towards human beings? What technological level do they have? Have they already infiltrated in our society? Would some hybrids be able to pass for us easily?

Giorgio Piacenza: I’ll add: Do they want us to teach them something (let’s not assume that they can’t learn some things from us). Do they want to have our capacities, even capacities which we have not clearly recognized in us?

Institutional, Social & Cultural Questions

Will some cultural foundations crack? Will some institutions suffer credibility problems for having previously hidden this reality? How much did they know inside the government? Who knew?

There will be a new “energy equation” (new sources of energy affecting societies, productions, the economy).

How will the legal system of countries with extraterrestrial presence change?

In the coming Age what is liberated-disclosed will determine what is going to happen.

How will the day-to-day life of people continue? How will the educational structure change?

History will be re-evaluated. With respect to anthropology and archaeology we will ask: What is true or false?  Psychology will have questions like: Is it possible to control experiences and memories like some ETs have shown?

Exopolitics will grow. All politics will be global. Since Brazil is the 5th country in terms of population and area and with several ufologists it will become a ufological power.

Soon we will all know the truth.

Dr. Buhr is a professor and a judge, with a MsC in legal sciences and lives in the Brazilian State of Santa Catarina (where important crop circles have been regularly appearing in the past few years). He’s also had a long-time interest in Space Law, is the author of “Direito Espacial” (Space Law) and clearly includes important Exopolitical considerations.

We have to consider Space Law, Ufological Events and Ethics: Space Law regulates how countries and businesses use space. Ufological Events need to be understood under a legal perspective and Ethic need to be developed for encounters with cosmic civilizations.

By convention In Aeronautical and Space Law the limit where space starts is at 100 Km over sea level. Space technology is present in daily life. Economy, agriculture, airplanes already use space related technology.

There is Public International Space Law; Public Internal Space Law and Private International Space Law.

Space activities tend to be messy. However, there have been some treaties like the foundational 1967 Space Treaty, the 1968 Agreement on the Return of Astronauts and the Return of Objects Launched into Outer Space, the 1972 Space Liability Convention (how states are responsible when satellites fall), the 1974 Registration Convention (only 62 signing states have to inform the UN of satellites launched and their orbits but military satellites are not controlled), the 1979 Moon Agreement (subscribed by very few countries). But the 1967 Space Treaty is for the good and interests of ALL countries, stating that nothing from Outer Space can be an object of national appropriation. But the U.S. probably places weapons in space even if the UN is in agreement with the spirit of the 1967 Treaty.

Brazil has already celebrated treaties with the European Space Agency (ESA), Germany, Argentina, Chile, China, Colombia, France, India, Russia, Ukraine and the US. Brazil has been a member of the United Nation’s COPUOS (Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space) since its foundation in 1959.

It is currently considered that private activity is not contemplated under Space Law. This includes activities like space tourism, asteroid mining exploitation and rendering services to space agencies. There also is the issue of space waste. Also militarization of outer space is prohibited but it is done. There are unilateral and multilateral considerations. There’s the possibility of “space terrorism” (like attacking necessary satellites). There also is the possibility of encounters with hostile cosmic civilizations.

For most aerospace legal authorities there is no UFO phenomenon to consider. However, the violation of air space requires a legal interpretation. Also the issue of human contamination due to contact with extraterrestrial organisms requires more understanding. Moreover, the Penal Code would apply to implants, as a form of creating damage to the human body. It would also apply for sexual experiences during abductions and to the sanctity of home space violations.   Some UFO-ET related events typified in the (Brazilian) Penal Code are implants generating corporal lesions (art 129), subtraction and/or placement of genetic material (213), kidnapping and withholding a person (art 150), illegal subjection of a person.

Mario Nogueira Rangel who wrote “Secuestros Alienígenas” (Extraterrestrial Abductions) made clear that many symptoms associated to the Abductions are violations both of the Penal Code and of Human Rights. However, we should recognize that there also are positive types of contacts. Think of Ezequiel’s experiences and of Elizabeth Klarer’s reference to the extraterrestrial Akon from Alpha Centauri. Interestingly J.J. Hurtak provided additional insights to the revealed names present in Klarer’s case.

But how should we position ourselves before a variety of extraterrestrial encounters? We need to develop an ethical understanding, a philosophical understanding and Interplanetary Space Law. We need to identify who they are and if they correlate with our basic ethical norms. We need to develop the philosophy of Interplanetary Space Law. For instance was the European civilization that brought modernity but enslaved so many in the New World good or bad? Are older extraterrestrial civilizations that have been interacting for a long time with us but which violate our rights good or bad?

From the presentation by Dr. Michael Salla “Exodiplomacy: How will Humanity  Negotiate with the Extraterrestrial Visitors”:

“Exodiplomacy” is defined as the profession, activity or skill of managing diplomatic interplanetary relations by national and/or planetary representatives. There are many events signaling an increasing recognition of issues dealing with the extraterrestrial presence. Exoplanets are being discovered; in 2009 the Pontificial Academy of Sciences held an astrobiology conference; followed by the Royal Society conference on the Scientific, Societal Agenda on the Discovery of Extraterrestrial Life. On September 18-19, 2014 there was a NASA -SETI – Library of Congress symposium called “Preparing for Discovery.” The message (in agreement with the Royal Society is that it is important to prepare.

Dr. Salla announced that the Reinstated Kingdom of Hawaii, a sovereignty independence political movement dedicated land to welcome the extraterrestrial visitors and could be a lead which governments could follow.

Regarding the practice of exodiplomacy who will represent the Earth? The UN? Major nations? Amnesty International? Popular Individuals? The Dalai Lama? Is there a role for private citizens? We can speak of “second track” exodiplomacy which includes non-official efforts to establish lines of communication. We need to educate society. However, discovery of extraterrestrial life may have already happened and secret negotiations may have taken place. For instance, Canadian Engineer Wilbert Smith found that UFOs exist and that they were the most highly classified matter in the U.S. Also, whistleblowers claim that President Eisenhower had two secret meetings with extraterrestrials (one at Edwards AFB in 1954 and one at Holloman AFB in 1955). Moreover, former Canadian Minister of Defence Paul Hellyer believes (as stated in his 2014 “Money Maffia” book) that secret negotiations with ET races have taken place. First-hand testimonies also suggest that alien technology has been reversed-engineered.

Dr. Salla informed us that – according to the U.S. Constitution – the U.S. senate has to ratify International Treaties but that “Executive Agreements” “other than treaties” are allowed. If such agreements had been held in 1954, 60 years would have passed until today (2014).

However, “Galactic Diplomacy” or extraterrestrial contact is also already happening through private citizens and perhaps we already have enough information to start preparing as citizens for more open contact with ETs. We can also educate and prepare other private citizens.

Rosana Ubanell from Voxxi News today reported that due to advances in scientific detection methods for the discovery of extraterrestrial life, Pope Francis wants to be ready with a statement about “First Contact”. Ubanell reports that details have yet to be officially announced but that the Vatican’s interest in extraterrestrial life is well documented through recent astrobiology conferences the Vatican Observatory has sponsored or participated in. Father Guy Consolmagno, a Jesuit astronomer and one of the leading Catholic proponents for preparing for the scientific discovery of extraterrestrial life, on July 18, won the Carl Sagan science medal from the American Astronomical Society. Pope Francis, a fellow Jesuit, regularly consults with Consolmagno and other leading Vatican astronomers about scientific issues. It is likely that Pope Francis is preparing an “Urbi et Orbi” speech – Latin for “to the city [of Rome] and the world” – about First Contact with extraterrestrial life.

The Vatican’s scientific interest in extraterrestrial life was publicly revealed for the first time in May 2008 when the head of the Vatican Observatory, Fr Gabriel Funes, also a Jesuit, gave an interview to the Vatican newspaper, L’Osservatore Romano. Funes made a series of startling statements about how extraterrestrial life is likely to be more ethically evolved than humans, and can be welcomed as brothers. In his interview, which was titled “The extraterrestrial is my brother,” Funes said that intelligent extraterrestrial life may not have experienced a ‘fall’, and may be “free from Original Sin … [remaining] in full friendship with their creator.” This makes it possible to regard them as ‘our brothers’ as Funes explained:

Just as there is a multiplicity of creatures on earth, there can be other beings, even intelligent, created by God. This is not in contrast with our faith because we can’t put limits on God’s creative freedom… “Why can’t we speak of a ‘brother extraterrestrial’? It would still be part of creation…

Most importantly, Funes’ statement makes possible the idea that Christianity can be exported to extraterrestrial worlds that have not experienced a ‘fall’ and are free from original sin.

Just over a year after his interview, Funes was the organizer of the first ever Astrobiology Symposium held by Pontifical Academy of Sciences in November 2009. Consolmagno and Funes have ever since played leading roles for the Vatican Observatory in presenting a theological perspective on the discovery of extraterrestrial life. Most importantly, both have been leading advisors to Pope Francis about scientific issues concerning the discovery of extraterrestrial life.

What is likely to be the content of Pope Francis’ upcoming statement or possible “Urbi et Orbi” speech about alien life? An important clue is a forthcoming presentation by Fr. Consolmagno at a September 18-19, 2014, astrobiology symposium organized by NASA and the Library of Congress that is titled: “Preparing for Discovery: A Rational Approach to the Implications of Finding Microbial, Complex or Intelligent Life Beyond Earth.”

Consolmagno is a featured presenter and will discuss the theological implications of discovering alien life. His topic, “Would You Baptize an Extraterrestrial?” suggests that Pope Francis agrees that extraterrestrials are capable of the higher ethics involved in understanding the Christian message and becoming Christians.

If Pope Francis is indeed preparing a statement about extraterrestrial life, it is likely to emphasize that there is no incompatibility in Christian teachings with a belief in extraterrestrial life as Fr. Funes proposed in May 2008. More importantly, Pope Francis is likely to emphasize themes of extraterrestrials: not sharing in original sin; being more ethically evolved; and being capable of sharing the Christian message, and being our brothers.

Not all will welcome a statement from Pope Francis advocating extraterrestrials as brothers and worthy of being baptized into the Christian faith. According to Chris Putnam and Tom Horn, authors of Exovaticana, Pope Francis I is preparing to lead the Catholic Church to embrace aliens as “brothers in Christ” – reflective of the 1950s and 1960s contactee reports of benevolent “space brothers.” Putnam’s and Horn’s Exovaticana portends a future religious war between those accepting extraterrestrials as “brothers in Christ” and those believing them to be returning demons about to enslave us. Despite the extensive scholarship found in Exovaticana, it unfortunately skews data towards an overly negative assessment of the motivations of extraterrestrial visitors. Thankfully, the Vatican’s evolving public position, as reflected by statements from its leading astronomers, shows a far more enlightened stance on how to consider the discovery of alien life from a theological perspective. A statement or “Urbi et Orbi” speech from Pope Francis expounding on various themes associated with the view that extraterrestrials are potential “brothers in Christ’ is a welcome position to take on a controversial issue with major world significance.

Will Vatican declaration of an alien savior spark a religious war?

Informative insofar as the authors, Chris Putnam and Thomas Horn, provide extensive scholarship into the history of the Catholic Church and its evolving position on extraterrestrial life. They claim that the Catholic Church has begun a global dialogue on extraterrestrial life where Pope Francis I will ultimately disclose the former’s existence to the world. Exovaticana is dangerous insofar as Putnam and Horn undergird it with some powerful religious prejudices about the motivations of alien visitors to our world. They claim that biblical scripture is a solid foundation for understanding that aliens are demonic entities who destructively intervened in human history, and are about to return and do so again. In contrast, according to Putnam and Horn, Pope Francis I is preparing to lead the Catholic Church to embrace the returning/visiting aliens as “brothers in Christ” – reflective of the 1950s and 1960s contactee reports of benevolent “space brothers.” Putnam’s and Horn’s Exovaticana portends a future religious war between those accepting visiting extraterrestrials as “brothers in Christ” and those believing them to be returning demons about to enslave us.

Putnam’s and Horn’s main thesis is that the Catholic Church is about to move publicly forward in a bold way on the issue of disclosing the existence of extraterrestrial life. They claim:

[W]hen reading Exo-Vaticana, the number of documents and the amount of commentary evidence on the part of Rome’s astronomers and the Vatican’s emerging theology as conveyed herein would be enough in a legal proceeding to convince the majority of a grand jury to determine “probable cause” – that is, to conclude beyond reasonable doubt that the Vatican has intentionally positioned itself to be the religious authority on, and ecclesiastical benefactor of, Official Disclosure: the imminent and authorized public admission by world governments of advanced extraterrestrial intelligence. (p 523)

In Petrus Romanus, their previous book, Putnam and Horn revealed how the Catholic Church has acted to fulfill a 12th century prophesy by St Malachy about the last Pope – Petrus Romanus – who will lead the Catholic Church during the End Times described in the Book of Revelations. Putnan and Horn provided detailed analysis of the Malachy Prophesy and how the current Pope Francis I is Petrus Romanus. The dissolution of the Catholic Church – as we know it – will come about due to events associated with the visitation of extraterrestrial life, and emergence of an alien savior. Putnam and Horn write:

The investigation you are reading uncovers this clandestine blueprint … and along the way, an astonishing exotheological plan by the Vatican itself for the arrival of an alien savior intelligence …and its connection with Petrus Romanus, the Final Pope. Pope Benedict resigned as this book headed to the printer. By now, the world knows who Petrus Romanus is. But do you know his role for the alien savior? (337-38).

Not only is Pope Francis I destined to disclose the existence of alien life, according to Putnam and Horn, but he will endorse a radical exotheological position of alien saviors on other worlds which is promoted by the Jesuit community. That is the idea that alien worlds may have had their own unique experience of the second aspect of the Christian Trinity – an alien ‘Jesus Christ’ may have lived and died on more than one exoplanet. This would mean that Christian salvation would not be unique to earth, and that aliens could have their own Christic traditions and religious insights.

For the Catholic Church, according to Putnam and Horn, this would make it possible to accept aliens as “brothers in Christ.” They cite the Pope’s chief astronomer, a fellow Jesuit, for endorsing this very idea in 2009 when he said: “To use St. Francis’ words, if we consider earthly creatures as ‘brothers’ and ‘sisters,’ why can’t we also speak of an ‘extraterrestrial brother?”

Putnam and Horn cite Father Kenneth J. Delano who proposes the possibility that visiting aliens are ethically superior as evidence of the Vatican’s developing exotheological position :

For man to take his proper place as a citizen of the universe, he must transcend the narrow-mindedness of his earthly provincialism and be prepared to graciously accept the inhabitants of other worlds as equals or even superiors. At this point in human history, our expansion into space is the necessary means by which we are to develop our intellectual faculties to the utmost and perhaps in cooperation with ETI, achieve the maximum consciousness… (pp. 555-56)

Putnam and Horn cite the key role of Teilhard de Chardin, a famed Jesuit, in influencing the Vatican’s belief in extraterrestrial life. Chardin wrote:

… considering what we know now know about the number of “worlds” and their internal evolution, the idea of a single hominized planet in the universe has already become I fact … almost as inconceivable as that of a man who appeared with no generic relationship to the rest of the earth’s animal population. At an average of (at least) one human race per galaxy, that makes a total of millions of human races dotted all over the heavens (p. 288).

De Chardin’s influence over Catholic theology can be recognized in a homily by Pope Benedict in 2009 that Putnam and Horn cite as key evidence of Vatican’s preparations for the introduction of an extraterrestrial inspired theology:

The role of the priesthood is to consecrate the world so that it may become a living host, a liturgy: so that the liturgy may not be something alongside the reality of the world, but that the world itself shall become a living host, a liturgy. This is also the great vision of Teilhard de Chardin: in the end we shall achieve a true cosmic liturgy, when the cosmos becomes a living host. (p. 564)

As to the question of the identity of the extraterrestrials that the Catholic Church appears to be preparing for, Putnam and Horn are very clear:

… we have scant evidence that we are dealing with nuts-and-bolts-type craft, and even if so, it is not a matter of need, rather subterfuge to promote belief in space aliens camouflaging demonic entities. (p.231)

They describe the “space aliens camouflaging demonic entities” as fallen angels or “Watchers” that first landed on Earth at the biblical location of Mount Hermon. They go on to describe how once the fallen angels spawned a race of giants:

 … the extraterrestrial beings that landed there and those that used women to birth the original giants called Anakim and Nephilim (and other abnormal creations in the Day of Noah (p. 469).

Putnam and Horn go on to endorse J.R Church who wrote: “Perhaps  the original group of Nephilim were scouts for a much larger force of demonic angels who, under the leadership of Satan came to Earth after the Flood (p 469).” They claim that the atmosphere is the domain of these rebellious spirits or fallen angels:

Given that the biblical and occult sources agree, we have ample grounds to posit that the atmosphere – where the majority of strange sightings occur – is the realm of these rebel spirits. It seems inescapable that fallen angels are the source of some UAP or UFOs. (p. 512)

Finally, we get to the crux of Putnam’s and Horn’s book. This is where they believe that the Vatican is preparing its Catholic adherents to embrace extraterrestrial saviors who are “demons in disguise”:

Given that the Vatican holds sway to over 1 billion followers as well as influencing an even greater number of peoples, governments, and policies world-wide, and puny obstacles to their revised Christianity will thus hardly keep most of the world’s “spiritual” people from wholeheartedly embracing the alien serpent –saviors on their arrival (546-47).

What do we make of the fantastic claim by Putnam and Horn that the Vatican is embracing demons camouflaged as extraterrestrials as future saviors of the Church and humanity?  Much of it is based on the skewed writings of UFO authors who ignore the extensive literature revealing the benign activities and intentions of many extraterrestrials visitors – far removed from the abduction phenomenon.

Putnam and Horn quote Richard Dolan and Bryce Zabel , authors of A.D. After Disclosure, who give serious credence to the idea of “demons camouflaged as extraterrestrials”:

If the Christians are right about how they interpret the UFO phenomenon, it is hoped that the rest of humanity will thank them for their stand against a demonic presence masking as extraterrestrials. If they are wrong, or even incomplete, in their analysis, they will be seen as obstructionist or even dangerous, refusing to see the truth that stares them in the face.  (221)

As a widely cited UFO historian, Dolan displays his and his co-author’s blind side here in considering “a demonic presence masking as extraterrestrials” as a plausible evaluation of the extraterrestrial phenomenon. In an online extract from their book on the religious implications of extraterrestrial disclosure, it becomes clear that Dolan and Zabel only take seriously the abduction phenomenon for assessing the motivations of visiting extraterrestrials. They don’t consider evidence from early “contactee reports” where human looking “space brothers” were claimed to have arrived to help humanity navigate the perils of the nuclear age.

Initial reports of human-looking extraterrestrials were overwhelmingly benign and non-invasive, suggesting that the “space brothers” were highly advanced ethically as well as technologically.  Dolan has written two earlier books on UFOs and the National Security State, in neither does he take seriously early contactee reports of friendly human alien contact. Zabel, co-creator of the television series Dark Skies, similarly focused on the abduction phenomenon and the invasive aspect of extraterrestrials behind it – again ignoring contactee reports entirely. Putnam and Horn, like Dolan and Zabel, focus on the invasive nature of the abduction phenomenon and the extraterrestrial entities behind it. This is a dangerously skewed position to take in attempting to evaluate the motivations of extraterrestrial visitors in general, let alone their impact on world religions.

In addition to putting a negative spin on the motivations of visiting extraterrestrial life based on data exclusively from the abduction phenomenon, Putnam and Horn are against the idea of there being possible alien christs that incarnated on other worlds:

The most compelling biblical argument for the uniqueness of terrestrial life is the incarnation. The Second Person of the Trinity, the One who brought the entire universe into existence (John 1:1-3, Colossians 1:16-17; Hebrew 1:1-2), became an everlasting member of the human race in the incarnation (John 1:14; 1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 7:24-25). He ascended to heaven bodily and sits on His throne as a man. This strongly counts against the existence of extraterrestrials and multiple incarnations on alien worlds. (p. 216).

Putnam’s and Horn’s dismissal of possible alien christs that incarnated on other worlds displays an astounding homo chauvinism. This leads to them concluding Exovaticana with the exhortation:

 We … suggest aggressive preparation for an Antichristogenesis – an Alien Serpent Savior  … it is obvious to all now that the Vatican has cleverly prepared for his coming…  (pp. 556-57).

“Aggressive preparation” appears to be a codeword for a possible religious war where evangelical Christians will collaborate with UFO abduction researchers who take a negatively skewed approach in evaluating the motivations of alien visitors. High on this religious war agenda would be an effort to sabotage any constructive dialogue or cooperation with extraterrestrial life.

Putnam and Horn are very likely correct in their assessment that the Vatican and the Catholic Church is positioning itself to accept extraterrestrial visitors as “brothers in Christ.” In that regard, we might all be surprised by the future role to be taken by the Vatican in disclosing the existence of extraterrestrial life. Exovaticana, insofar as it presents the history of the Catholic Church’s position on extraterrestrial life is very informative and helpful.

 Exovaticana is dangerous insofar as it skews data towards an overly negative assessment of the motivations of extraterrestrial visitors. Evidence clearly shows that not all alien visitors have behaved in ways that could be considered harmful to humanity’s vital interests, or violating the rights of individuals. A more balanced approach, as found in the new book Galactic Diplomacy: Getting to Yes with ET is needed – where a comprehensive evaluation of all data on extraterrestrial visitors is analyzed. This will help ensure that humanity moves harmoniously into a wider galactic society where our vital interests are respected, rather than precipitate a religious (interplanetary) war as Exovaticana appears to be advocating.

Pope Francis to announce extraterrestrial savior according to new book

ExoVaticanaNew-350pxYesterday Pope Francis I celebrated his first Easter Mass as the leader of the world’s 1.2 billion Roman Catholics. In his first “Urbi et Orbi” speech – Latin for “to the city [of Rome] and the world” – he called for peace in the Middle East; an end to human trafficking and greed; preventing the exploitation of natural resources; and protecting animals by becoming “responsible guardians of creation.” The Pope normally gives two Urbi et Orbi speeches each year where he deals with major challenges faced by the world and Christendom. In a future speech it has been predicted that he will discuss a unique challenge that the world faces according to the authors of a new book. In Exovaticana, Chris Putnam and Tom Horn predict that the new Pope, Francis I, will soon announce the existence of extraterrestrial life, among whom an alien savior will emerge to reinvigorate Christian teachings!

Putnam and Horn, successfully predicted in their last book, the best-selling Petrus Romanus: The Final Pope is Here, that Pope Benedict would resign rather than die in office. They based their prediction on St Malachy’s, Prophecy of the Popes. According to Putnam and Horn, Francis is the final Pope, “Petrus Romanus”, who will oversee the dissolution of the Catholic Church as predicted in St Malachy’s prophecy, by announcing an extraterrestrial savior.

Putnam and Horn claim to have documented the research and evidence supporting their startling prediction in their new book, Exovaticano – advance orders of which have already rocketed it into Amazon’s best seller lists for its April 15 release. On their website and in Exovaticano, they claim that the Catholic Church hierarchy plans to announce an extraterrestrial savior who will usher in a new world spiritual belief system that supplants traditional Christianity and organized religion. Putnam’s and Horn’s research is based on interviews with Catholic scholars and scientists who were willing to discuss the Prophecy of the Popes and the possibility of extraterrestrial life.

Among the Catholic researchers interviewed is Dr Guy Consolmagno, a Jesuit and Vatican astronomer who generated much press interest in 2010 for his views on alien life. He said: “Any entity – no matter how many tentacles it has – has a soul.” When asked if he would baptize an alien, Consolmagno replied: “Only if they asked.” Putnam and Horn cite a difficult to find document written by Consolmagno who makes a remarkable claim about the relationship between Jesus and extraterrestrial life:

Perhaps it’s not so far-fetched to see the Second Person of the Trinity, the Word, Who was present “In the beginning” (John 1: l), coming to lay down His life and take it up again (John 10: 18) not only as the Son of Man but also as a Child of other races?

At first reading, it appears as though Consolmagno is suggesting that Jesus may have been the “Star-Child of an alien race” as Putnam and Horn suggest. On re-reading Consolmagno’s quote, it appears that he is instead claiming that the second aspect of the Holy Trinity that was personified in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, may be recognized as relevant to other worlds and races. This would make it possible for Consolmagno to baptize aliens, even on their own worlds. If Jesus divinity is recognized by extraterrestrial races, and expressed in a unique way by them, then it is easy to understand why Consolmagno believes that contemporary society will “look to the Aliens to be the Saviors of humankind.”

Consolmagno, as Putnam and Horn make clear, is no rogue priest making wild theological pronouncements about alien life. Consolmagno’s boss and Chief Vatican Astronomer, Dr Gabriel Funes, stunned the world in May 2008 when he revealed that it is acceptable for Catholics to openly contemplate extraterrestrial life. In an interview he said:

Just as there is a multiplicity of creatures on earth, there can be other beings, even intelligent, created by God. This is not in contrast with our faith because we can’t put limits on God’s creative freedom… “Why can’t we speak of a ‘brother extraterrestrial’? It would still be part of creation…

Both Funes and Consolmagno are scientific advisors to the Pope and advise him on all matters concerning astronomy – which includes the likelihood of a future discovery of extraterrestrial life.

It’s inconceivable that both Funes and Consolmagno would have been able to make public their beliefs about extraterrestrial life without the approval of the previous Pope, Benedict XVI. It is highly likely that the Vatican astronomers will continue to be given permission to make statements about extraterrestrial life and its theological implications. So is it pure science driving these statements from Vatican astronomers or something else?

Funes and Consolmagno are best known among the scientific community for organizing an astrobiology conference on the grounds of the Vatican in November, 2009. The conference contemplated the consequences of the latest scientific advances which was made possible the discovery of exoplanets. A process that according to many astronomers makes the discovery of extraterrestrial life a question of “when” rather than “if”. For example, Dr Chris Impey from the University of Arizona’s Astronomy Department said at the 2009 conference:

As scientists gather to discuss progress in astrobiology, we still only know of one planet with life: our own. But there is a palpable expectation that the universe harbors life and there is hope that the first discovery is only a few years away.

It may be that Vatican astronomical interest is driven by the possibility of discovering extraterrestrial life on some distant exoplanet in the next few years. Not so according to Putnam and Horn. They contend that Vatican astronomers have already found evidence of extraterrestrial life, much closer to earth.

Putnam and Horn claim that the Vatican’s astronomical telescope (Vatican Advanced Technology Telescope) located at the Mt Graham Observatory, Arizona, is tracking something that has yet to be announced to the world. They quote from Father Malachi Martin, another Jesuit, who cryptically revealed something that was being tracked by Vatican astronomers that had great significance. In a 1997 interview on the popular radio program Coast to Coast AM, Martin said:

Because the mentality…amongst those who [are] at the…highest levels of Vatican administration and geopolitics, know…what’s going on in space, and what’s approaching us, could be of great import in the next five years, ten years.

On the question of what precisely is being tracked, Putnam and Horn claim that “people familiar with Malachi believe he may have been referring to a near-future arrival of alien intelligence.”

The aliens will be carrying with them a message that transforms Christianity from an earth-centric faith system into a new galactic faith that welcomes extraterrestrials as our “spiritual brothers”. Who will be the savior that emerges from the incoming extraterrestrial object secretly monitored by astronomers that, if Putnam and Horn are correct, the Vatican is preparing to soon announce in an “Urbi et Orbi” speech to the world?

Nation of Islam UFO discussion follows Vatican and Royal Society

Thousands are flocking to Chicago today for the Nation of Islam’s Saviour’s Day 2011 Convention this weekend. The four main conference sessions include a serious and scientific discussion on “The Truth About the Existence of Unidentified Flying Objects” at 2:15pm Central Time, February 26. The sessions will be web cast at www.noi.org.

The UFO session speakers include Jaime Maussan (Mexico City), Ademar Gevaerd (Brazil), Dr. Roger Leir (USA), Donald R. Schmitt (USA), Antonio Urzi (Italy), Fernando Correa (Mexico), and Steve Colbern (USA). This writer was invited to speak at the UFO session but had to decline.

The topic of UFOs is one of the more controversial beliefs within the Nation of Islam. But it is quickly getting more into the mainstream. The Chicago session follows similar meetings of influential and prestigious organizations and grassroots movements:

November 3, 2010, Initiative 300 was on the election ballot in Denver. It proposed to create an Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission in Denver and received worldwide news media coverage.

November 6-10, 2010, the Vatican held a conference on extraterrestrial life. One priest even declared he would baptize extraterrestrial beings.

January 22-25, 2011, the 5th Annual Global Competiveness Forum in Saudi Arabia held a plenary session of top UFO experts to discuss, “Contact: What We Can Learn from Outer Space”, originally titled, “UFOs and Innovation”. Former heads of state Bill Clinton, Tony Blair, and Jean Cretien also spoke at the forum which was attended and addressed by top executives from many of the world’s most innovative corporations and organizations.

February 13, 2011, a meeting of the 350 year-old Royal Society in London had no fewer than nine presentations on extraterrestrial life and its implications for various aspects of human life.Topics discussed at the Royal Society were:

  • The detection of extra-terrestrial life and the consequences for science and society
  • The evolution of organic matter in space
  • Predicting what extra-terrestrials will be like: and preparing for the worst
  • Extra-terrestrial life in the European Space Agency’s Cosmic Vision plan and beyond
  • The search for life in our Solar System and the implications for science and society
  • The search for extra-terrestrial intelligence
  • The implications of the discovery of extra-terrestrial life for religion
  • Fear, pandemonium, equanimity and delight: human responses to extra-terrestrial life
  • Discovery of extra-terrestrial life: assessment by scales of its importance and associated risks

February 20, the Associated Press reported that scientists had estimated there are at least 50 billion planets in the Milky Way galaxy, and 500 million of them are “not-to-hot, not-too-cold” where life could potentially exist.

The UFO and extraterrestrial themes are not limited to large conferences. An unprecedented number of feature length films about extraterrestrial intelligent beings are hitting the screens from March to June of 2011.
