Mainstream Media Using UFO Report to Stir Arms Race

• The New York Times has published an article on the leaked contents of the still anticipated U.S. government report on UFOs (see here). “The report determines that a vast majority of more than 120 (UFO) incidents over the past two decades did not originate from any American military or other advanced U.S. government technology,” the NY Times was told by the officials. “That determination would appear to eliminate the possibility that Navy pilots who reported seeing unexplained aircraft might have encountered programs the government meant to keep secret.”

• The NY Times also stated definitively that, “Intelligence officials believe at least some of the aerial phenomena could have been experimental technology from a rival power, most likely Russia or China. One senior official briefed on the intelligence said without hesitation that U.S. officials knew it was not American technology. The official said there was worry among intelligence and military officials that China or Russia could be experimenting with hypersonic technology.” Apparently, foreign adversaries have severely lapped American military technological development.

• Of course, the ‘senior government officials’ cited by the NY Times are anonymous, as usual. And of course, the narrative that the NY Times is promoting is convenient for imperialists and war profiteers who want to spur greater defense spending and the development of more intensive weapons to meet the perceived challenges of this new Cold War.

• The NY Times article didn’t hold back on the fear-mongering: “Russia has been investing heavily in hypersonics, believing the technology offers it the ability to evade American missile-defense technology. China has also developed hypersonic weaponry, and included it in military parades. If the phenomena were Chinese or Russian aircraft, officials said, that would suggest the two powers’ hypersonic research had far outpaced American military development.”

• This won’t be the last time we hear the imperial media warning us that UFOs may be a sign of a frightening gap in technology leaving the U.S. defenseless against far more powerful foreign foes. Tucker Carlson has been pushing this narrative for weeks now, demanding that the U.S. government do more to address the fact that “our military was completely outmatched technologically by whatever these (UFOs) were.” “UFOs, it turns out, are real,” said Carlson, “and whatever else they are, they’re a prima facie challenge to the United States military. They’re doing things the U.S. military does not allow, and they’re doing it with impunity.”

• Carlson had on his Fox News show military intelligence veteran Luis Elizondo, who claimed that the Senate UFO report will reveal “an intelligence failure on the part of the U.S. intel community on the level of 9/11.” “If there’s a foreign adversary that can put a nuclear warhead within moments over Washington, D.C., OK, that’s a problem,” Elizondo told Carlson.

• Will we now begin seeing this ‘arms race’ angle become the dominant aspect of this UFO story? It would certainly fit the pattern of the U.S. war machine and mass media promoting completely unverifiable allegations about foreign governments to justify further cold war escalations.

• In the early sixties, President John F. Kennedy falsely promoted the “missile gap” narrative, telling the public that the Soviet Union had surpassed the United States in nuclear weapons when he knew full well the U.S. nuclear arsenal had always far surpassed the U.S.S.R.’s in number, quality and deployment. But Kennedy used this hawkish narrative to win an election and advance the largest peacetime expansion of U.S. military power ever, leading directly to the events which gave rise to the Cuban Missile Crisis which came far closer to ending our world than most of us like to think about.

• This new Cold War that the U.S. is waging against Russia and China is insane. There is no valid reason our planet’s dominant powers cannot at the very least cease brandishing Armageddon weapons at each other and begin collaborating toward a better world. Reject the propagandists and Cold Warriors, no matter how elaborate or bizarre their manipulations become.

• [Editor’s Note] You can see the deep state’s fingerprints all over this NY Times article – and the Cold War fever it promotes. Now that the white hat military Alliance is effectively cleaning out the entrenched deep state scourge, the deep state is desperate for some sort of existential threat or false flag that will distract the public from the war between good vs evil that is currently raging behind the scenes. The evil deep state is trying very hard to make one last ditch effort to manufacture a threat of some sort (ie: nuclear war, famine, pandemic, alien invasion) that will allow them to step in and save us all, to reinforce their political control.

Of course the ‘Tic Tacs’ and ‘drones’ that the military is seeing come from the American military industrial complex using advanced extraterrestrial technology gleaned since the 1950s and recently patented by the US Navy. The deep state just want to turn it around and use it for their own ends, as they have been doing for the past seventy years. U.S. government report on UFOs, as per usual based on statements of anonymous officials, and as per usual promoting narratives that are convenient for imperialists and war profiteers.

Together with one voice, the anonymous U.S. officials and the “paper of record” — which is supposed to scrutinize U.S. officials — assure us definitively that the mysterious aerial phenomena that have reportedly been witnessed by military personnel are certainly not any kind of secret U.S. technology, but could totally be aliens and could definitely be a sign that the Russians or Chinese have severely lapped America’s lagging military development.

**China’s hypersonic ‘aircraft carrier killer’ missile**

“Intelligence officials believe at least some of the aerial phenomena could have been experimental technology from a rival power, most likely Russia or China,” the Times reports. “One senior official briefed on the intelligence said without hesitation that U.S. officials knew it was not American technology. He said there was worry among intelligence and military officials that China or Russia could be

experimenting with hypersonic technology.”

“Russia has been investing heavily in hypersonics, believing the technology offers it the ability to evade American missile-defense technology,” NYT adds. “China has also developed hypersonic weaponry, and included it in military parades. If the phenomena were Chinese or Russian aircraft, officials said, that would suggest the two powers’ hypersonic research had far outpaced American military development.”

The article goes on to describe how the U.S. military have been “unsettled” by aircraft moving and behaving in ways known technologies cannot explain. The implication of scary foreign adversaries having “outpaced American military development” to such an extent is of course that the U.S. military is going to require a far bigger budget with far more intensive weapons development.

This would be the same New York Times that has consistently supported all of the U.S. military’s devastating acts of mass murder around the world, by the way.

• Christopher Mellon (pictured above) is a former deputy assistant of defense for intelligence, the third highest ranking intelligence post at the Pentagon. On August 1st, he told CNN‘s Michael Smerconish that it is time for Americans and Congress to take UFO reports seriously. (see 5:43 minute video below)

• Mellon said that the assertion by Navy pilots of seeing aerial vehicles maneuvering in ways that are beyond the technology currently possible on this Earth should be taken seriously as well. Mellon is also a host of History channel’s “Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation.”

• “[T]he Defense Department and the Navy themselves have stood up and publicly acknowledged that this (UFO) phenomenon is real,” Mellon points out. “That this is happening. That our Navy pilots are encountering these vehicles….” imparts a credibility that is causing a “sea change” in public perception of UFOs.

• “[N]one other than that Scientific American itself has published an article saying the (UFO) subject ought to be taken seriously and investigated by the scientific community,” Mellon told Smerconish. (see Scientific American ExoArticle here)

• To think that these UFOs could be some sort of advanced drones or aircraft developed without the technology derived from intelligent extraterrestrials is “too simplistic”, says Mellon. “[W]e had information from multiple systems, infrared systems, multiple personnel in the ground and in the air, tracking these objects performing maneuvers that clearly indicate they were under intelligent control. They’re responding to our aircraft. They’re outmaneuvering them and doing things far beyond any capability we possess.”

• The Pentagon plans to release more details about the highly advanced UFO sightings by US Navy pilots. It is time for Americans and Congress to take UFO reports seriously, according to a former Defense Department intelligence official.
“I think this is a topic the Oversight Committee should take seriously and investigate,” Christopher Mellon, former deputy assistant of defense for intelligence, the third highest ranking intelligence post at the Pentagon, told CNN‘s “Smerconish” on Saturday morning.

Mellon was referring to the Pentagon reportedly planning to release more details about the famed UFO sighting by U.S. Navy pilots that reported a vehicle moving in a way world technology would not allow.

Contractor and Pentagon consultant Eric Davis told The New York Times that he had briefed a Defense Department agency this spring on research that showed the Navy found “off-world vehicles not made on this earth.”

“What I will say about that is I think that assertion should be taken seriously,” Mellon, also a host of History channel’s “Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation,” told CNN‘s Michael Smerconish on Saturday.

Pentagon UFO Program Still Exists. But Navy’s Alien Sightings Don’t Add Up.

• The New York Times recently reported that in spite of a Pentagon UFO research program being shut down in 2012, a new one has taken its place. This gives a hundred million Americans hope that there must be something worth looking at… aliens perhaps?

• When The New York Times reported in 2017 that Navy pilots captured video of a UFO outmaneuvering their jets over the Pacific Ocean, they felt compelled to look into it due to national security concerns. Or is this a ruse by the government to make the public think that the military thinks that these are probably Russian or Chinese technologies, so that the public won’t be thrown “into chaos”?

• The NY Times also revealed that the government has in its possession “retrieved materials” that are “not made on this Earth”, and possibly even recovered alien spacecraft. This claim seems suspect. The Navy pilots didn’t report picking up pieces of alien technology or strange metal alloys, so it’s unclear where these “materials” came from. This is a case where seeing might be believing. But no one has let us see anything, which is convenient.

• Senator Marco Rubio, R-Fla., says he is especially concerned by the fact that the extraterrestrials spend a lot of time hanging out above our military bases. But why would such technologically advanced aliens travel trillions of miles to our planet just to ‘play cat-and-mouse’ with Navy jets and monitor our far-less advanced weaponry? Perhaps these aliens come as saviors to protect us from ourselves.

• No, aliens wouldn’t be interested in our pitiful technology. If unidentified craft or drones are watching our military capabilities, then it is more likely they are Russian or Chinese intelligence. Humans are too quick to ascribe strange phenomena to superhuman beings, much as the Greeks believed that lightning bolts were javelins tossed by Zeus. There is no solid ‘science’ that supports these unidentified objects being extraterrestrial.

• The Office of Naval Intelligence will supposedly make regular reports on at least some of its UFO findings. Is this good news for the Fox Mulder crowd who ‘want to believe’ in UFOs? Or will it rob these believers of their best evidence – which is no evidence at all?

• [Editor’s Note] As the Senior Astronomer for the SETI Institute (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) which peers at distant stars through radio telescopes looking for clues of extraterrestrial civilizations, Seth Shostak’s continuing fame and fortune lies in never finding any aliens at all, so he can keep on “searching”.

To this end, he pens this article that twists and contorts until he finally reaches his foregone conclusion – that extraterrestrials have not yet come to this planet. Shostak’s tortured premise is that highly advanced extraterrestrial beings would have no interest in our inferior technology, although the Russians or the Chinese may have. To believe that UFOs are of an extraterrestrial origin is a testament to the feeble human mind that ascribes anything unknown to supernatural causes. There is no hard science supporting alien technology, and there are no ‘alien materials’ or recovered alien craft in the government’s possession.

Shostak is a proud standard-bearer for the Deep State, continuing to debunk the extraterrestrial presence in any way he can, just as others before him have done for over seventy years. He must be aware that aliens exist here in our solar system. But his job is to lie to the public and attempt to make a mockery of the UFO disclosure movement, while posing as a responsible scientist. Unfortunately for Shostak, more and more people are waking up to this deceit and recognizing him for the despicable charlatan that he is.

Is it vindication at last? The New York Times has recently reported that a supposedly canceled Pentagon project to investigate

strange aerial phenomena is still showing a pulse. The clandestine effort, originally known as the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, was said to have ended in 2012. But, apparently, it’s still doing its thing under the auspices of the U.S. Office of Naval Intelligence, and with a new name: the Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon Task Force.

So, where there’s smoke, there’s fire, right? If the feds are still forking over tax dollars to delve into odd goings-on in the sky, it must be because they’ve got convincing evidence of extraterrestrial visitors. That’s the hope of the 100 million or so Americans who seem willing to swear on the Good Book that unidentified flying objects are, at least in some cases, alien objects.

But as with everything UFO-related, it’s worth taking a second, or third, look before rushing to lay out the red carpet for alien houseguests. When, in 2017, the Times first reported on a secret project to study unidentified aerial phenomena, it was in connection with some puzzling videos taken by Navy fighter pilots over the Pacific. The video showed unidentified objects ahead of the jets, objects that seemed to maneuver in bizarre ways. The military has always wanted to know about anything that can fly, so there are plenty of national security reasons for why they would continue such research.

That’s the most straightforward explanation for why the Navy has extended the Pentagon program. It’s also what they’ve said.
But isn’t it possible that what’s really going on here is not an investigation into unknown aircraft or drones, but a distraction to keep us from a more disturbing truth — that UFOs aren’t enemy flying machines, but alien flying machines? Maybe the government doesn’t want to admit this, because they figure the news might throw society into chaos.

Tom DeLonge’s UFO Research Center is Making Politicians Demand Answers

• In July, Republican US Representative Mark Walker of North Carolina, wrote a letter to the Secretary of the Navy expressing concern over the recent surge in UFO-related events affecting American military forces. Walker noted a December 2017 article in the New York Times about the secret Pentagon UFO program called AATIP and revelations that Navy pilots encountered anomalous aerial objects off of the coast of California in 2004 and off of the East Coast in 2015, and whether it could pose a security risk.

• Tim McMillan, a law enforcement consultant and intelligence analyst interested in UFOs said, “It’s abundantly clear by the language of his letter, Rep. Walker is acting on information brought out by To The Stars Academy or their proxies.” TTSA is Tom DeLonge’s UFO study organization that has been promoting the government’s knowledge of the existence of UFOs. “What we see here,” says McMillan, is the “most successful component of TTSA—[as] a political lobby.”

• Walker concludes his letter to the Navy Secretary by asking: does the DoD “continue to dedicate resources to tracking and investigating these claims” of UFOs and have they found any “physical evidence or otherwise that substantiates these claims?” McMillan says, “The Navy’s response to Rep. Walker will be the most interesting aspect of all this.” “Will Representative Walker make the Navy’s response public? [W]ill Representative Walker push the issue further?”

• The study of UFOs is becoming serious political business and has convinced many within the UFO community that this is a pivotal moment in the study of the phenomenon. But Walker’s letter is just another example in a long history of politicians trying to get answers. Politicians and high-ranking officials have been questioning the UFO cover-up for decades.

• Republican Presidential candidate in 1964, Barry Goldwater was denied access to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in the late 1960’s and 70’s where he alleged that the Air Force was hiding evidence of flying saucers. In a 1994 interview, he stated, “I think the government does know [about UFOs].” Goldwater related that he called his former running mate, Air Force General Curtis LeMay, and said, “’General, I know we have a room at Wright-Patterson where you put all this secret [UFO] stuff. Could I go in there?’ … [H]e got madder than hell at me, cussed me out, and said, ‘Don’t ever ask me that question again!’”

• In 1967 in open dialogue on the floor of the Canadian House of Commons Ministers of Parliament, Ed Schreyer and Barry Mather demanded more information on UFOs from the Department of National Defence. This led to a formal motion to have all related UFO documents released. The motion was denied.

• In 1993, New Mexico Congressman Steven Schiff made several inquiries to the DoD regarding the Roswell UFO crash of 1947. This prompted a General Accounting Office investigation into the Roswell crash. In July 1995, the GAO determined that what crashed at Roswell was a Project Mogul balloon.

Last month, Republican representative Mark Walker of North Carolina wrote a letter expressing concern over the recent surge in UFO-related events affecting American military forces.

Walker’s concerns stem from the December 2017 article in the New York Times about the now defunded secret Pentagon UFO program called AATIP and the revelations that several Navy pilots in 2004 and 2015 engaged in bizarre encounters with anomalous aerial objects off the coast of California and Florida. The news that the Navy is now changing its protocols for personnel to report UFO sightings has spurred a renewed interest in the potential safety and security risks these unknown objects pose.

“The reports mention the existence of these encounters both domestically and abroad during various missions and trainings,” Walker wrote. “Based on pilot accounts, encounters with these UAPs (unidentified aerial phenomena) often involved complex flight patterns and advanced maneuvering, which demand extreme advances in quantum mechanics, nuclear science, electromagnetics, and thermodynamics.”

What’s most notable is that what Walker is asking for closely aligns with what Blink 182 singer Tom Delonge’s To the Stars Academy (TTSA) has been uncovering and publishing over the last few years. While TTSA has made some odd claims, the sheer amount of attention the media is giving the UFO topic in the last two years has undoubtedly increased.

“What we see here with Mark Walker’s letter to the Secretary of the Navy is the undiscussed, but most successful component of TTSA—a political lobby,” Tim McMillan, a law enforcement consultant and intelligence analyst interested in UFOs, said in an interview. “It’s abundantly clear by the language of his letter, Rep. Walker is acting on information brought out by TTSA or their proxies.”

“The Navy’s response to Rep. Walker will be the most interesting aspect of all this,” McMillan added. “Will Rep. Walker make the Navy’s response public? If he feels the Navy’s response is inadequate, will Rep. Walker push the issue further?”

• Stephen Zoller, (an accomplished film writer and producer since the 1980’s), has strong opinions about UFOs and spoke with BBN Times about it. His fascination with all things alien began when he was an eight year-old in Dublin, Ireland and watched the film,‘The Day the Earth Stood Still’ in the local theater. After immigrating to America, on a family car trip through Indiana in 1965, Zoller saw a saucer shaped object whiz by with blinding speed. Ten years later he found an old magazine with a photo of a UFO in Indiana dated 1965. Maybe he wasn’t daydreaming after all. So he devoured anything he could about UFOs.

• With all of the talk about UFOs lately, from the New York Times’ articles on a Pentagon UFO program, to Navy pilots’ stories of UFOs off of the coast of California, to Tom DeLonge, to Bob Lazar, to billionaire entrepreneur Robert Bigelow’s assertion that he was “absolutely convinced” that aliens exist and that UFOs have visited Earth, Zoller suggests that UFOs could well be hiding in plain sight.

• What is Zoller’s take on UFOs? “I suggest they’re not little green men from a far-flung part of the galaxy,” says Zoller. “Interstellar travel from our closest neighboring star would fly in the face of Einstein’s theory of mass-energy equivalence.” “I don’t think they are extraterrestrials. I think it’s more likely that they originate from planet Earth” – from the future. They’ve developed the ability to move freely through Earth’s timeline but are forbidden to alter the past in any substantial way, otherwise they would initiate temporal annihilation in the future.

• “After years of mounting evidence there is no longer any doubt that UFOs are real, and that the authorities have no idea from where they originate,” says Zoller. “The question is what does the military and intelligence community know and why do they refuse to share it with the public. Maybe, they fear that an admission would lead to economic and social upheaval which would be bad for business as far as the rich and powerful are concerned.”

• “There’s great unrest all over the globe,” say Zoller, “including ethnic and religious conflict, mass migration, left versus right, and worst of all, a willful denial of facts and science. The bulk of the blame rests with the powers-that-be who want to preserve their status quo at any cost. By that I mean political, religious and corporate elites.”

• Zoller continues, “With the climate crisis and global overpopulation having such deleterious effects on our beautiful blue planet, it’s curious that UFO sightings have dramatically spiked in the past few years. My gut tells me that the two are connected.” How? “Your guess is as good as mine.”

• Zoller offers hope for the future: “Despite the deep hole we humans have dug for ourselves, it’s a great time to be alive. The possibility exists that before long we will witness the game-changer to end all game-changers, one that may lead to scientific and spiritual enlightenment.”

• [Editor’s Note] Born in Budapest, Hungary in 1952, coming to America via Ireland, and establishing himself as an up-and-coming film producer by 1980, Stephen Zoller (age 68) is a good example of a person working in the mainstream who has also kept up with the UFO phenomenon with an open mind. No one really knows for certain how extensive the extraterrestrial presence truly is, and what types of beings are involved. So Zoller draws a somewhat contradictory belief that our future selves have time travel technology to come back here and observe us, while at the same time assuming that advanced extraterrestrial beings are absent because alien travel technology would be limited by Einstein’s Theory of Relativity.

What is quite interesting is Zoller’s intuition that we will soon experience a “game-changer to end all game-changers, one that may lead to scientific and spiritual enlightenment.” He might be intuiting a Solar Flash that Corey Goode, David Wilcock, and many others have predicted will initiate an energy wave washing over the solar system, and raising the spiritual consciousness of those who are prepared, to a fourth density reality, in addition to the planets themselves. Could this be the reason why we see so many UFO’s in the sky lately? Are these beings here to get a front row seat to one of the most awesome and marvelous events occurring in the galaxy?

When Shakespeare mentioned “more things in heaven and earth,” could he have whimsically meant UFOs?

Why not? Because there are so many amazing things beyond us as our science and technology on Earth proves daily. And, also as the Hubble telescope demonstrates as it continually allows astronomers to study the heavens and their awesome celestial events.

But when it comes to strange flying objects right here in our own skies, filmmaker Stephen Zoller suggests that the truth about UFOs could well be hiding in plain sight.

First, let’s backtrack. Early in 2017, on CBS’s “60 Minutes,” billionaire entrepreneur Robert Bigelow, who’s been working with NASA to produce craft for humans to use in space, asserted that he was “absolutely convinced” that aliens exist and that UFOs have visited Earth.

In December 2017, the New York Times ran eye-opening, back-to-back stories, including: one a front-page expose on a Defense Department program (AATIP) that investigated reports of unidentified flying objects; and, another about two Navy airmen (including Cmdr. David Fravor) in their F/A-18F Super Hornets off the California coast who actually saw an object that “accelerated like nothing” that Fravor had ever seen.

Inside America’s UFO Investigation

Remember the multi-million-selling punk-pop band, Blink 182, well its founder Tom DeLonge last concert was in front of 100,000 fans. Now, he’s been putting his money where his mouth is as executive producer of a new limited series called “Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation” on the HISTORY channel.

Previously run by Luis Elizondo, AATIP was created to investigate Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) including numerous videos of reported encounters. The TV series “Unidentified” features DeLonge, Elizondo and several other investigative team members including Chris Mellon, former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense and Intelligence. Early in the series, Mellon offers: “My hope is make a serious effort to acquire and analyze data which could tell us whether this UFO issue does involves some other civilization or reveals a breakthrough of adversaries or even allies…Evidence suggests these are not U.S. vehicles…(and) it’s inexcusable we don’t make the effort to answer such a profound question.”

Then, earlier this year, ace podcaster Joe Rogan interviewed Bob Lazar, the self-proclaimed former member of America’s ultra-secret alien technology’s reverse-engineering program. Lazar called the AAVs he observed as “borderline magic” describing nine vehicles with the potential of power levels that were “astronomical.” He saw the AAVs fly and also quipped about getting caught filming a craft doing “radical maneuvers” and suggesting that Navy pilot Cmdr. David Fravor “described exactly what we saw.”

The Day the Earth Stood Still

That’s where I return to Stephen Zoller, an accomplished filmmaker but a humble man who doesn’t have any abduction stories. But he has a lifelong fascination with UFOs that was inspired in a theater near Dublin in 1960 where as an eight year old he sat wide-eyed, watching the seminal sci-fi movie, The Day the Earth Stood Still.

Next, after immigrating to North America and on a family car trip through Indiana in 1965, he saw a saucer shaped object whiz by with blinding speed. Known for having a vivid imagination, young Zoller’s “sighting” only provoked laughter. However, ten years later, while attending the University of Toronto, he found an old magazine with a photo of a UFO dated 1965 in Indiana. Maybe, he wasn’t daydreaming after all, so he devoured anything he could about UFOS, including reading about the Barney and Betty Hill incident.

Not Little Green Men

Q Mr. Zoller, after all that research, what’s your take today on UFO/AAVs?

A The prevailing sentiment with UFO watchers is that they’re of extraterrestrial origin. However, the more I’ve researched, the more I suggest they’re not little green men from a far-flung part of the galaxy. It’s just way too much of a scientific leap. Interstellar travel from Alpha Centauri, our closest neighboring star at a mere 26 trillion miles away, would fly in the face of Einstein’s theory of mass-energy equivalence.

• Navy pilots recently interviewed by The New York Times and appearing in the History Channel documentary series: Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation, reported detecting several UFOs during flight training between 2014 and 2015. Their radars detected these UFOs flying at hypersonic speeds at altitudes just over 9000 metres (30,000 feet), despite having no obvious means of propulsion. UFO sightings along the Southeastern US coast and in the Persian Gulf have been reported by six Navy pilots. One of the pilots, Lt. Danny Accoin, said, “It seemed like (the UFOs) were aware of our presence because they would actively move around us.” None of the pilots suggested that the UFOs were alien in origin, however.

• Leon Golub, a senior astrophysicist at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, said the possibility of an extra-terrestrial cause “is so unlikely that it competes with many other low-probability but more mundane explanations,” such as “bugs in the code for the imaging and display systems, atmospheric effects and reflections, neurological overload from multiple inputs during high-speed flight.”

• As a rule, the more mundane explanation for UFO sightings is the logical one. The US Air Force’s Project Blue Book collected more than 12,000 sightings between 1952 and 1969. All but 6% were “explained” astronomical, atmospheric or human phenomena. The US National Science Foundation’s Project Ozma monitored two stars: Tau Ceti and Epsilon Eridani for six hours a day from April to July 1960. No signal was found.

• Seth Shostak, a senior astronomer at the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence Institute (SETI) said the UFOs could be drones from rival countries. Shostak also noted that these pilots began spotting the UFOs after their plane’s radar system was upgraded, which suggests that the sightings might be due to some software bug. SETI began as a government program under NASA, and continued as a private effort in 1993 when funding from the US Congress ended.

• The SETI Institute in a joint project with the University of California, Berkeley, built 42 individual telescopes that function as a single massive instrument to observe up to 1 million nearby stars for radio or optical signals. Dubbed the Allen Telescope Array, it began observations in 2007. Italy’s University of Bologna also has a radio SETI search, and Harvard University in Boston has an optical SETI search. So, while the US Air Force’s detection of UFOs might not be aliens visiting the Earth – the various SETI efforts around the world might just one day lead to such a discovery.

• [Editor’s Note] Once again, the Deep State institutions are lining up to debunk what Navy pilots are seeing with their own eyes. Seth Shostak and SETI along with Harvard-Smithsonian, are leading the charge toward abject unenlightenment and disinformation surrounding the extraterrestrial/UFO phenomenon. Despite the overwhelming evidence of UFO’s, or ET-controlled drone UFOs which is most likely, that are routinely operating in our skies, the Deep State is pushing hard to make sure that the mainstream public does not take this seriously, and to disregard it all as a ‘glitch in the technology’. ‘There’s nothing to see here. According to recent media reports, between 2014 and 2015, US Navy pilots detected several Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) during training. Their radars detected these UFOs flying at hypersonic speeds at altitudes just over 9000 metres, despite having no obvious means of propulsion.

In total, six pilots who were stationed on the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt during that time period spotted UFOs during flights along the Southeast coast of the US, The New York Timesreported late last month.

Two of the Navy pilots interviewed by The New York Times have also appeared in the new History Channel documentary series: Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation, which also premiered late last month.

The objects had “no distinct wing, no distinct tail, no distinct exhaust plume,” Lt. Danny Accoin, one of the pilots said. “It seemed like they were aware of our presence because they would actively move around us.”

Accoin had told the Times that although tracking equipment, radar and infrared cameras on his aircraft had detected the UFOs twice, he was unable to capture them on his helmet camera.

Meanwhile, Lt. Ryan Graves, the other pilot featured in the documentary said that a squadron of UFOs followed his Navy strike group up and down the eastern coast of the US for months. After the USS Theodore Roosevelt was deployed to the Arabian Gulf in March 2015, the UFOs reappeared.

Such accounts would surely fire up the imagination of those of us who are fascinated by the thought of extra-terrestrials visiting our planet. However before we get too excited about this prospect, it’s worth noting that none of the pilots interviewed by the Times suggested that the UFOs they detected were alien in origin.

So, what were they? Well, the pilots themselves thought that they might have been part of a highly-classified drone programme using cutting-edge technology. There are other possibilities.

• President Trump was interviewed by Fox News’ Tucker Carlson while the President visited the Far East in late June. It was aired on Fox News on July 5th. Carlson asked the President about a recent briefing he had regarding the Navy pilots who reported seeing “strange objects” flying at hypersonic speeds and emitting “no visible engine or infrared exhaust plumes.” (see video below)

• Trump mused, “I mean, you have people that swear by it, right?… And pilots have come in and they said — and these are pilots that have — not pilots that are into that particular world, but we have had people saying that they’ve seen things.” This was the Commander-in-Chief’s way of saying he isn’t convinced UFOs exist.

• President Trump continued: “Well, I don’t want to really get into it too much. But personally, I tend to doubt it. … I’m not a believer, but you know, I guess anything is possible.” Apparently, he’s keeping an open mind.

• Recently, the Defense Department held a briefing with Senate Intelligence Committee Vice Chairman Mark Warner (D-VA) and two other Senators regarding Navy pilots’ encounters with UFOs. Carlson asked the President, who has access to any military base, about a claim made by a government official who said that the U.S. is in possession of UFO wreckage at an Air Force Base facility. Trump said he hadn’t heard about it but had seen the story covered on Carlson’s show.

• [Editor’s Note] Nick Pope was also interviewed by Tucker Carlson in the Fox News interview. Pope rejoiced that a US president was even discussing the subject. In a recent ExoNews article, Rich Sheck applauded Trump conceding that UFO’s are real, even if he doesn’t believe in extraterrestrials.(see here) Dr Michael Salla recently wrote an equally optimistic account of President Trumps interview with George Stephanopoulos. (see here) When asked if Trump believed in UFOs, the President responded “not particularly”. So Trump must have information of what these UFOs really are, and is actively seeking a way to inform the public. Many in the UFO community seem to be banking that Trump is only pretending to be ignorant and indifferent to the existence of UFOs of extraterrestrial origin as part of a master plan that the President has up his sleeve to affect full disclosure when the time is right. I wish I shared their optimism. But I have a feeling that Donald Trump isn’t pretending.

Does President Trump believe the truth is out there?

Apparently not.

During an interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, Trump, who has all our information about extraterrestrials and UFOs at his disposal, said he isn’t convinced UFOs exist.

But he’s keeping an open mind.

“Well, I don’t want to really get into it too much. But personally, I tend to doubt it,” he told Carlson. “I’m not a believer, but you know, I guess anything is possible.”

Carlson was pressing the president on a recent briefing he had regarding the Navy pilots who reported seeing “strange objects” flying at hypersonic speeds and emitting “no visible engine or infrared exhaust plumes.” Last week, the Defense Department also held a briefing with Senate Intelligence Committee Vice Chairman Mark Warner, D-Va., as well as two other senators as part of an apparent effort to communicate with politicians about naval encounters with unidentified aircraft.

• July 2nd was “World UFO Day”, commemorating the July 2, 1947 UFO crash in Roswell, NM. Seventy-two years later, people are still fascinated with the UFO phenomenon.

• In a New York Times exposé , two Navy pilots revealed that they had spotted UAPs flying over the East Coast almost daily for more than six months between 2014 and 2015. Experts have many theories as to where UFOs come from, ranging from glitches in radar technology to spacecraft belonging to other nations. Although the Navy pilots’ reports are credible, they do not link these objects to extra-terrestrial beings. In fact, there is no evidence that does so. The Roswell crash itself was officially just debris made up of rubber strips, tinfoil, and paper.

• Origins and cause aside, how can people actually spot a UFO? Astronomer Chris Rutkowski says that a place with a good view of the sky is crucial, and the later at night the better. “Most UFO sightings came between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m.” “I’d personally recommend simply finding a dark location at night, away from city lights, and watching the skies.”

• According to Rutkowski, places with higher populations tend to have more sightings. But “(UFO) ‘hot spots’ come and go from year to year,” says Rutkowski . “So in some years, the state with the most reports by population could be Vermont, while it might shift to Missouri another year.”

• Rutkowski also suggests using tracking app technology. “There are many planetarium and satellite tracking apps you can get that can help you pick out objects in the sky, and see which ones aren’t stars and planets!” he says. The app store lists a number of helpful ones with high ratings, including Orbitrack and ISS Detector.

• Jan C. Harzan of MUFON says knowing the places where UFOs are often spotted is key. “On a per capita basis Maine and Arizona are the two best states to see a UFO,” Harzan says. “But UFO sightings happen all over the world.”

• Rutkowski is of the opinion that UFOs are not aliens from another world. Harzan does believe in extraterrestrials. But both men agree that the chances of a civilian spotting a UFO in the United States are good. Says Rutkowski, “Polls have shown that 10 percent of all North Americans believe they have seen UFOs — in the USA alone. That’s about 33 million people.”

• [Editor’s Note] What I find disturbing is that the new normal which the mainstream is pushing is that, yes it is now undisputed that UFOs exist. But these thousands of UFO sightings cannot be of an extraterrestrial origin, because extraterrestrials do not exist. Once again the skeptics use the fact that the government has been hiding evidence, ridiculing witnesses, and covering up the ET presence for the past 72 years – to argue that there is no “actual” evidence of extraterrestrials. But the evidence is there for anyone who cares to do a little research.

On July 2, 1947, a rancher in Roswell, New Mexico, stumbled on what appeared to be debris from a “flying saucer” made up of “rubber strips, tinfoil, and rather tough paper.” Baffled, he turned the materials over to the sheriff, who began an investigation. The event, later known as the Roswell UFO Incident, would eventually be recognized as the first sighting of an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) in the U.S.

Seventy-two years later, the rancher’s discovery is one that is still commemorated, a day that is now officially known as: “World UFO Day.”

Aimed at both awareness and fun, the day celebrates the original sighting, while also recognizing how many have been recorded since. Although the vast majority of these have been shared by civilians, the U.S. government has confirmed its own encounters with what it calls “unexplained aerial phenomena” (UAPs).

Find an open view of the sky

While it’s important to note that places with higher populations tend to have more sightings, longtime ufologist (UFO expert) and acclaimed astronomer Chris Rutkowski says that “a good view of the sky,” is crucial. “Especially a horizon,” he tells Yahoo Lifestyle. “So downtown Manhattan might not be better than Mesa, Arizona, overall.”

Know the states where it’s most common

According to Jan C. Harzan, executive director of the nonprofit MUFON (a UFO investigation & research organization), knowing the places where they’re spotted the most is key. “On a per capita basis Maine and Arizona are the two best states to see a UFO,” Harzan tells Yahoo Lifestyle. “But UFO sightings happen all over the world.”

• Navy pilots have reported seeing alien UFOs is the skies, and Congressmen are being briefed on it. These UFO sightings should be investigated in a scientific way, but errors in thinking are undermining the effort. There are two reasons why we should not conclude that these are extraterrestrial craft.

• But the pro-extraterrestrial visitation arguments rest on two serious errors. One is the confusion of observations with interpretations, and the other is a slight twist on an error called ‘god of the gaps’.

• The first error is that Navy pilots cannot know a flying object’s speed or acceleration without knowing whether these were little things seen up close, or bigger things farther away. Former NASA engineer James Oberg says, “The bizarre events reported by Navy pilots are not ‘observations’; they are interpretations of what the raw observations might mean.”

• The second error is that when a scientist cannot explain something, they go to the supernatural explanation or an “act of God”. The same thing is happening with UFOs, with alien visitors being used to fill gaps in our understanding of the latest detection technology, the sky and human vision. Extraterrestrial visitors and gods fall into the same category of unscientific explanation because they haven’t shown themselves to humanity in a coherent enough way for claims about them to be tested.

• The arguments for extraterrestrial UFOs falsely equate the possibility that extraterrestrial life exists with the plausibility that it’s visiting us. Yes, there are other planets out there, and some might harbor life forms. But why should we assume they’d want to come here? Are we really that exciting?

• Many UFOs have been explained scientifically. The Air Force conducted studies starting in 1947, and continuing through the 1960’s, when the matter was turned over to a panel of civilian scientists headed by physicist Edward Condon at the University of Colorado. The committee explained most of the outstanding cases as reflections, equipment glitches, balloons, astronomical phenomena and human-built craft. So what about the unexplained cases?

• Len Finegold, a retired UC physics professor who consulted on a few Condon cases says there are plenty of unexplained phenomena left in physics, “so we’re used to that.” Mysteries of life may one day be solved, but in the meantime, let’s get comfortable with the gaps.

• [Editor’s Note] This is a hard core Deep State response to the UFO phenomenon, which the government has maintained since the 1940’s. They roll out their greatest hits of half-baked, irrational arguments to prove that UFOs and aliens do not exist. First, experienced Navy pilots have no idea what they are looking at. Second, the ignorant public tends to attribute outrageous religious or supernatural explanations to natural but as yet undiscovered phenomenon. Thirdly, the government has thoroughly and scientifically examined the UFO phenomenon and proclaimed that there is nothing to it. Lastly – and this is the best one – why would any extraterrestrial want to come here? It appears that the Deep State has shifted its ‘deny and cover-up’ strategy from all-out ridicule to a reasoned argument that we’re all just a bunch of idiots who should leave the heavy thinking to the ‘experts’.

If you’re reluctant to believe the latest round of media claims that alien spacecraft are lurking around our airspace and surprising Navy pilots, well, you are not alone.

The New York Times leaned toward aliens as the reason Navy pilots have seen unexplained flying objects, and the Washington Post made a similar case in its news coverage followed by a guest editorial: “UFOs exist and everyone needs to adjust to that fact.” Others followed suit. Congress is getting classified briefings.

But the pro-extraterrestrial visitation arguments rest on two serious errors. One is the confusion of observations with interpretations, and the other is a slight twist on an error called god of the gaps. The UFO sightings should be investigated in a scientific way, but the errors are undermining the effort.

The first error made in most of the news coverage was to claim that Navy pilots observed craft that accelerated, rose upwards or turned faster than was physically possible. But pilots can’t know any object’s speed or acceleration without knowing whether these were little things, seen close up, or bigger things, that were farther away. It’s just one clue that the vocabulary is being blurred.

James Oberg, a former NASA engineer turned space journalist, pointed out: “The bizarre events reported by Navy pilots are not ‘observations’; they are interpretations of what the raw observations might mean.” To start an investigation from a conclusion rather than from data is, he says, “a recipe for confusion and frustration and dead-ended detours.” 1

The other error cropped up many times when I wrote newspaper stories about evolution. Readers would sometimes write in to argue that if scientists couldn’t completely explain some phenomenon – say, the origin of DNA – then it must be an act of God. Theologians sometimes use the term “god of the gaps” to describe the erroneous use of supernatural explanations for natural phenomena that aren’t yet explained. The same thing is happening with UFOs, with alien visitors being used to fill gaps in our understanding of the latest detection technology, the sky and human vision.

Lawmakers Are ‘Coming Out of the Woodwork’ to be Briefed on UFOs

• The US Navy has been organizing UFO briefings for members of Congress, since Navy pilots’ reported encounters with ‘Tic Tac’-looking UFOs off of both US coasts. Briefings have been given to Defense Intelligence staff and Congressional oversight committee members.

• A spokesperson for the vice-chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) (pictured above) said, “If naval pilots are running into unexplained interference in the air, that’s a safety concern Senator Warner believes we need to get to the bottom of.”

• Staffers on Intelligence, Armed Services, and Defense Appropriations panels are “coming out of the woodwork” to obtain the information. An active intelligence official confirmed that “more requests for briefings are coming in.”

• Despite his interest in a Space Force, and even though President Trump theoretically has more access to unredacted information on UFOs than anyone, he told George Stephanopoulos that he doesn’t ‘particularly’ believe in UFOs.

• On the other hand, former Nevada Senator Harry Reid, the godfather of the recent push to normalize the discussion of UFOs within government, said that he would encourage lawmakers to hold public hearings on the matter. “They would be surprised how the American public would accept it,” said Reid.

• When Reid was Senate majority leader in 2007, he allocated $22 million to a Pentagon study of military sightings of UFOs. “That money was spent developing page after page of information,” says Reid. “There’s been a lot of activity since that.”

• The Navy has taken major steps in cutting the stigma around the reporting of UFO sightings. In April, the Navy announced it is “updating and formalizing the process” of UFO reports by its pilots in an attempt to analyze the phenomenon from a more scientific approach. Luis Elizondo, a former Pentagon senior intelligence officer, claimed that this was “the single greatest decision the Navy has made in decades.”

According to congressional officials who spoke to Politico, three senators received a classified briefing from the Pentagon on Wednesday regarding Navy encounters with unidentified aircraft. The briefing is one of a number of recent requests from oversight committee members following a report in May of Navy pilots who frequently saw Tic Tac-looking UFOs flying off the southeast coast of the United States between 2014 and 2015.

“If naval pilots are running into unexplained interference in the air, that’s a safety concern Senator Warner believes we need to get to the bottom of,” said a spokesperson for Virginia Democrat Mark Warner, the vice-chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee. An active intelligence official confirmed to Politico that “more requests for briefings are coming in.” And a former government official, who has been present for some of the meetings with lawmakers, added that representatives and support staff on the Intelligence, Armed Services, and Defense Appropriations panels are “coming out of the woodwork” to obtain the information. The briefings have reportedly been organized by the Navy, and have included staff from the under secretary of Defense for Intelligence.

Despite his interest in a Space Force — even if it’s only a fundraising tool — Trump doesn’t seem engaged by the fact that he has more access to unredacted information on UFOs than, presumably, any other terrestrial being. “I did have one very brief meeting on it,” Trump told George Stephanopoulos on Sunday. “But people are saying they’re seeing UFOs. Do I believe it? Not particularly.”

But former Nevada senator Harry Reid, the godfather of the recent push to normalize the discussion of UFOs within government, remains quite invested. In an interview with Nevada’s KNPR last week, Reid said that he would encourage lawmakers to hold public hearings on the matter: “They would be surprised how the American public would accept it. People from their individual states would accept it.”

Luis Elizondo: Why is the Government Finally Admitting UFOs are Real, and Why Should We Pay Attention?

• In December 2017, the world was stunned to learn that pilots from the USS Nimitz, while conducting exercises off of the coast of California in 2004, had encountered (“tic tac”-shaped) UFOs that were able to perform impossible aerodynamic maneuvers. Navy pilots saw this with their own eyes. It was verified by the cockpit gun camera footage, sonar systems from nearby submarines, and the Navy’s state-of-the-art Aegis SPY-1 radar system. These incidents were not isolated and continued for at least a decade later, involving other carrier battle groups around the world.

• Our national security apparatus needs to further understand what these things are and where they are from. Anything that can perform with these characteristics could certainly pose a threat should it choose to do so. Did a foreign adversary just leapfrog ahead of the U.S.? Or is this something else?

• The UFO phenomenon remains an ill-defined threat. We have observed some of its capabilities, but we still have no idea of its intent. Recent understanding in quantum physics and next-generation technology may be able to help us address this problem. But our biggest weakness may be the dogma by which we are blinded.

• While heading up the Pentagon’s ‘Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program’ on UFOs, Luis Elizondo (pictured above) says he learned first-hand that perhaps the greatest threat of all was not from the UFO phenomena, but from ourselves, in our “inability to process data that did not fit neatly within our own paradigms of what constitutes a threat or an ally, which often led to blank stares and uncomfortable silence.”

• Eventually, we were stuck in this never-ending loop of disbelief, stigma, and “paralysis by analysis.” Even to this day, there are elements within the U.S. government that resist further study of this topic despite the overwhelming evidence provided by our brave men and women in uniform, which is also backed by our most advanced and reliable sensors and technology.

• These UFOs far surpass our current understanding of aerodynamics and physics. We seem utterly unprepared to deal with something that is beyond our known technology. But where do you start when every rule you’ve been taught to live by has been broken?

Those of us who grew up in the 1980s may remember the movie “Final Countdown,” a fanciful “what if” scenario in which the mighty USS Nimitz aircraft carrier is mysteriously transported back in time to World War II.

In the movie, Japanese Zeros encounter state-of-the-art, supersonic F-14 Tomcats, and as one might imagine, the lopsided matchup makes for an amusing movie and some very frightened Japanese fighter pilots.

But what if the reverse were the case? What would the movie feel like if the USS Nimitz suddenly disappeared into the future instead of the past? What if the pilots flying the Tomcats were suddenly engaging hyper-futuristic craft that toyed with them in the way that a cat plays with a mouse?

The Paradox

In December 2017, much of the world was stunned to learn that pilots from the USS Nimitz encountered something eerily similar to the above scenario back in 2004, while conducting an exercise off of the sunny, southern coast of California. Just like a script from a science fiction movie, Top Gun-trained fighter pilots from the Nimitz were unfairly engaged with and attempting to intercept something that could only be described as extraordinary.

What the pilots encountered that day was able to perform in ways that defied all logic and our current understanding of aerodynamics. Furthermore, beyond what the pilots saw with their own trained eye, the technological feat they encountered was further verified by the impressive Aegis SPY-1 radar, America’s premiere radar system at the time, and even gun camera footage and sonar systems from submarines accompanying the carrier.

Was this a case of life imitating art? No one really knows, but more than one publication was able to independently verify that these incidents, along with many others, were officially reported to the Pentagon’s own secretive program called the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), which was tasked with trying to decode the mystery of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP).

Equally shocking to most was the fact that these incidents were not isolated and continued for at least a decade later and involved other carrier battle groups around the world.

As the American people became increasingly aware that this was not a plot for a science fiction movie but were real events, the U.S. government was forced to respond.

• A number of credible media outlets have reported that Navy pilots are increasingly reporting sightings of unidentified aircraft, and the military is taking them seriously for a change. The Navy has declined to speculate who or what may be flying the mysterious aircraft.

• “I would note… that, consistent with the wide proliferation and availability of inexpensive unmanned aerial systems sightings of this nature have increased in frequency from 2014 until now,” said Joseph Gradisher, a spokesman for the deputy chief of Naval Operations for Information Warfare. Could these strange UFOs be long-range Russian or Chinese unmanned surveillance aircraft? Probably not, according to the Air Force.

• “We are not concerned that China or Russia have developed a long-range capability about which we are not aware,” said Air Force spokesman Maj. Bryan Lewis. Any drone that could fly from Russia or China to the United States’ East Coast would have to be at least as large as an MQ-9 Reaper, and the data link used to fly the aircraft would be detectable,” said retired Air Force Maj. Gen. James Poss, who served as the service’s former assistant deputy chief of staff for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance.

• When asked if extraterrestrials were spying on the U.S. military, DoD officials politely refused to answer. From 2008 until 2012, the Defense Intelligence Agency investigated UFOs/UAPs as part of the ‘Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program’ (AATIP). The military has since moved on to more pressing concerns such as standing up Space Force – which defense officials insist will not be our first line of defense when the Bug War starts.

• Retired Senator Harry Reid (D-Nev) said he feels the Pentagon needs to look into unidentified aerial phenomena again. “I think it’s foolhardy to do nothing,” said Reid. Then-Senator Reid secured most of the funding for the AATIP program, but he is unsure if the reported UFOs are extraterrestrial. “We don’t have a lot explanation for what they are,” he said. “They can go vertically, horizontally, at huge air knots. If you have a jet airplane that goes 700 miles an hour – we’ve only got one going that fast – these things it’s estimated are going 3,000 miles per hour. So try that one on.”

Let’s talk about UFOs.

To be clear, your friend and humble narrator does not wear a tinfoil hat, nor does this reporter believe the U.S. government is competent enough to keep proof of alien life secret from the American public. (Just remember, the same government that conspiracy theorists allege is keeping the truth about UFOs under wraps also runs the Defense Finance and Accounting Service.)

Yet a number of credible media outlets have reported that Navy pilots are increasingly reporting sightings of unidentified aircraft, and the service is taking them seriously for a change. Politico‘s Bryan Bender reported in April that the Navy was working on new guidelines for reporting such aircraft in the wake of increased sightings in military ranges and airspace.

Helene Cooper of the New York Times recently reported that Navy pilots saw a slew of unidentified aircraft in 2014 and 2015 while flying training missions off the East Coast. In fact, a pilot from Virginia Beach nearly collided with one of the unknown aircraft in late 2014.

The strange aircraft had no visible engine or infrared exhaust plumes, the New York Times reported. They could fly up to 30,000 feet and they were able to loiter in the area of U.S. warships for 12 hours at high speeds.

The Navy declined to speculate who or what may be flying the mysterious aircraft.

“I would note; however, that, consistent with the wide proliferation and availability of inexpensive unmanned aerial systems sightings of this nature have increased in frequency from 2014 until now,” said Joseph Gradisher, a spokesman for the deputy chief of naval operations for information warfare.

Trump replied that he doesn’t particularly believe in them. “I want them to think whatever they think,” the President said. “I did have one very brief meeting on it. But people are saying they’re seeing UFOs. Do I believe it? Not particularly.”

One pilot reportedly said he “almost hit one of those things” described it as looking “like a sphere encasing a cube.”

Aliens Need More Attention

Until recently, the human perception of aliens was these little guys way out in space. This is no longer the case. With a May 26^th New York Times article we learned of Navy pilots who witnessed UFOs with “no visible engine or infrared exhaust plumes but could reach 30,000 feet and hypersonic speeds.” Almost every day from the summer of 2014 to March 2015, these bizarre objects flew over the East Coast.
The lack of public interest from this report was surprising. What happened to people’s fascination with the unknown? Not a single meme appeared on the internet. Seriously? We didn’t expect much outspoken response from the average person who pays an average amount of attention to the news. But we expected more from the people that are so quick to judge journalism and share news articles with the caption “fake news!!!”
The size of the universe is hard to wrap our brains around. We can’t be the only ones. Even if we narrow our universal search just to the Milky Way, there would be around 1 million planets with potential life. The ‘zoo hypothesis’ claims aliens have set us aside in a planetary ‘wilderness’ like captive zoo animals. Or are the ETs waiting for us to reach a technological plateau before they reveal themselves to us?
Maybe we humans just refuse to give the extraterrestrials the attention they deserve. They flew all the way here, scared the crap out of some Navy pilot, got The New York Times to write about it, and we still didn’t care.
Earth’s hospitality rating could be cosmically low and aliens have better vacation destinations to spend their hard earned fuel traveling to. Why visit a planet whose inhabitants don’t even bat an eye when you visit? Earth could be the Mount Trashmore of the universe with only the crazies wanting to visit this dump.
[Editor’s Note] It’s the crazies who are running this planet. The rest of the civilized universe is waiting for the humans on Earth to get our act together, expose the treachery that has become our reality, and change our existence by way of higher consciousness. It is up to us as a sovereign race of beings to reclaim our planet, and not the ETs who, by cosmic law, must only sit back and watch it play out. Once we have successfully awoken, the patient and benevolent ETs will accept us as a new member of the Galactic family.

Aliens have fascinated humans since the discovery of space. E.T., ALF, Spock and Marvin the Martian are just a few of the extraterrestrial characters from humanity’s imagination. The human perception of aliens goes to show how dedicated we are to the unknown little (or very big) guys way out in space. At least this seemed to be the case until recently.

Almost every day from the summer of 2014 to March 2015, these bizarre objects flew over the East Coast. Although the U.S. Department of Defense did not call this extraterrestrial activity, the lack of public interest from this report was surprising.

What happened to people’s fascination with the unknown?

Not even a meme or blurb in the Twitter-sphere about aliens came about. At least a bit on aliens getting “slept on” would have sufficed. Seriously? Not a single meme from this article? Shame on you Internet. What a wasted opportunity.

Given that the NYT article came out over Memorial Day weekend, people could have been too busy drinking and boating to care too much about the possibility of unidentified flying objects. We didn’t expect much outspoken response from the average person who pays an average amount of attention to the news. But we expected more from the people that are so quick to judge journalism and share news articles with the caption “fake news!!!” Isn’t this the kind of thing people love to make conspiracy theories about?
