Elon Musk Calls on Space Force to Embrace Fully Reusable Rockets: ‘Make Starfleet Happen’

Article by Sandra Erwin                           February 28, 2020                              (spacenews.com)

• On February 28th at the Air Force Association’s annual winter symposium in Orlando, Florida, SpaceX founder Elon Musk joined the commander of the Space Force’s Space and Missile Systems Center, Lt. Gen. John Thompson (both pictured above), for a “fireside chat”. “How do we make Starfleet real?” Musk asked the audience of US Air Force airmen who are now transitioning to the Space Force.

• Musk said that the future of air warfare is in autonomous drone warfare. “The fighter jet era has passed.” The ‘ticket to the future’, says Musk, is to make extensive use of reusable launch vehicles rather than expendable boosters. “I think we can go a long way to make Starfleet real and these utopian futures real.” Of course, Musk is referring to the type of rockets that his SpaceX company builds such as the Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy rockets which are ‘partially reusable’, and the new Starship vehicle currently in development which is ‘fully reusable’.

• The military will test Musk’s reusable rockets for the first time with the upcoming Falcon 9 launch of a GPS satellite on April 29th. The Space and Missile Systems Center will allow SpaceX to attempt to land the booster on a droneship at sea.

• In 2018, SpaceX was turned down on a bid for a Launch Service Agreement contract that would help to fund the Starship’s development. The Air Force awarded LSA contracts to three other companies, prompting SpaceX to file a legal challenge that is still pending.

• Musk cast Starship as an example of “radical innovation” that will keep the United States in the lead as other nations like China advance their space capabilities. “I have zero doubt that if the United States does not create innovations in space, it will be second in space.” Musk says that Starship will enable access to deep space and the eventual colonization of Mars. He encouraged rival companies to start building fully reusable vehicles like Starship and create a more competitive industry. Musk suggested there should be more ‘disruptive competition’ in the defense industry.

[Editor’s Note]  Musk strongly advocates “radical innovations” in space and “more disruptive competition in the defense industry” that will keep the United States in the lead as other nations like China advance their space capabilities. But what are these radical innovations? Eighty-year-old rocket technology. Apparently, the deep state military industrial complex wants to continue to hide its advanced exotic technologies, such as anti-gravity that the US Air Force uses in their advanced TR3B black triangle craft, and portable nuclear fusion reactor propulsion which the US Navy has publicly revealed in recent patent filings. (see ExoArticles here and here)

The deep state also wants to continue hiding the fact that the US military has deployed these technologically advanced spacecraft since the US Navy’s Solar Warden fleet in the 1980’s. Since then, these types of spacecraft have traversed not only the solar system, but the galaxy. Space travel within the solar system using these advanced propulsion technologies – not rockets- has become routine.

Who better to do the deep state’s bidding than the thoroughly compromised Elon Musk, who denies the existence of such advanced spacecraft and the presence of extraterrestrials? Musk isn’t interested in revealing the truth. Musk is only interested in the US government buying his revamped rocket technology to make himself a fortune.

ORLANDO, Fla. — In his first appearance at a military conference since the establishment of the U.S. Space Force, SpaceX founder Elon Musk gave his usual pitch on the virtues of reusable rockets. But he tailored the message to an audience of airmen who started their careers in the U.S. Air Force but are now transitioning to a new service and pondering the possibilities.

Elon Musk: keeping the Deep State’s secrets

“How do we make Starfleet real?” Musk asked to roaring applause during a one-hour fireside chat with the commander of the Space Force’s Space and Missile Systems Center Lt. Gen. John Thompson Feb. 28 at the Air Force Association’s annual winter symposium.

Musk then answered his own question, insisting that reusable launch vehicles are “absolutely fundamental” to achieving whatever space ambitions the military might have, including staying ahead of China.

Many of Musk’s comments on reusable rockets were repeats of what he said at a previous appearance at an Air Force conference Nov. 5 in San Francisco, where he also sat down with Thompson.

On Friday, Musk made multiple references to the fictional Star Trek “Starfleet” to hammer the message that reusable rockets are the ticket to the future. “I think we can go a long way to make Starfleet real and these utopian futures real.”

But none of this can happen as long as the military continues to rely on expendable boosters, said Musk.

Space Force’s Second-in-Command Explains What the Hell It Does

Article by Leigh Giangreco                        February 25, 2020                          (gen.medium.com)

• Last year, President Trump created the new branch of the Air Force: the Space Force. Trump declared, “American superiority in space is absolutely vital and we’re leading, but we’re not leading by enough.” So we asked second-in-command Lt. General David Thompson (pictured above) what the hell will Space Force do?

What is the Space Force actually going to do? Three examples of what Space Force does and has been doing as part of the Air Force for years are: 1) keeping track of the more than 26,000 orbiting objects in space including operational satellites, expired satellites, and space debris; 2) tracking missile launches and providing warning to Americans and our allies, as we did several weeks ago when the Iranians launched a missile attack at the al-Asad base which resulted in no casualties; and 3) supporting GPS navigation for everything from smart phones to ships at sea.

What do you do as Space Force’s second-in-command? I assist General Raymond, our commander and chief of space operations, in making sure that all forces are trained and equipped to conduct satellite tracking operations and ground sensors across 134 locations worldwide. We operate with a $12 billion annual budget and 26,000 personnel.

Are you coordinating with NASA as well? Cape Canaveral is an Air Force/Space Force station that launches military, commercial, and NASA rockets. NASA has its own space center next door that launches the moon missions. But every interplanetary probe that NASA has launched, except one, flew on an Air Force or Space Force rocket.

Will you be working with Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos on the commercial side? We already work pretty closely with Elon Musk (SpaceX) and Jeff Bezos [Blue Origin aerospace], as well as a lot of the large [satellite] constellations that are in development to see their capability and technologies.

What would a typical deployment look like? What are the major threats? Why is Space Force relevant when it seems like the U.S. military is constantly being pulled into counterinsurgency operations in the Middle East? Any of our joint forces needs navigation, position, and timing services provided by GPS. Our satellites support that need. But one of the biggest reasons for the creation of the Space Force is to protect us from potential adversaries like Russia and China who are flexing their muscles, and have made it clear they intend to remove our ability to utilize space if it comes to conflict.

It seems a lot of people think Space Force was created to go up against Russia and China in some sort of intergalactic battle. How much truth is there in that? Half of that is correct. Space Force will monitor threats from Russia or China in space. But if it doesn’t matter to soldiers on the ground, sailors at sea, and airmen in the air, then it doesn’t matter to us. We will remain focused on our commanders in the field (on earth). We’re not battling for control of the moon or Mars.

When did the idea of Space Force first come into being? Does this trace back to the Gulf War? The space age dawned in the 1950s and has grown up over the decades. In the early years it was used for strategic intelligence gathering and some other things. But by the time of the first Gulf War in 1990 and then Desert Storm in 1991, our space systems began to be able to provide tactical capabilities to troops on the ground. After 9/11, this need continued to increase, related to Afghanistan, Iraq, and other places.

Is it fair to say that Space Force is a Trump initiative? It was actually an initiative of all national leadership. The conversations about the need to address threats in space began in 2014 in the previous administration. The discussion increased in 2017 and 2018. But it was [Trump’s] announcement in June 2018 that really started to form the vision. So yes, President Trump had that vision, and he had a lot of participation from Congress in both political parties.

Is this ‘on-the-ground’ satellite coordination? Or will Space Force involve astronauts in space? That opportunity to be an astronaut inside the Space Force today is almost zero. The best thing to do if you want to be an astronaut is to talk to NASA. But the rest of the world is going in the direction of the Space Force, with remotely piloted aircraft, drones, artificial intelligence, and vehicles that operate by remote control or autonomous control.

Several other reporters have asked about the uniforms and the official song. Do you have any ideas about what the culture of Space Force will look like? Space Force needs its own culture and identity. Soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines are all different. I’m in my 35th year in space-related activities. We already have a little bit of a culture and an identity, which will be refreshed with things like uniforms, mottos, and songs. We want to take a little bit of time to do them carefully. We want to ask the young, career enlisted members what they want the uniform to look like. The uniforms that are under design now look like military uniforms.

Can you give us some clues? No clues, sorry! It will be cool.

In ‘The Incredibles’ they say “no capes.” Are there any absolute nos for Space Force uniforms? We’re not talking spandex and capes. It needs to be the classic, sharp-looking uniform that reflects who we are as members of the American military.

Okay, so the Marines have Chesty the bulldog, the Air Force has a falcon — what are you thinking for a mascot? The Marines didn’t have Chesty when they were formed. We’re going to let that develop naturally, so it has some meaning and tradition behind it.

Do you have a favorite sci-fi movie that inspired you? I’ve always loved Star Trek and I really loved the most recent reboot. I think they’ve captured the essence of those old characters in a new and fresh way. I was always a Star Trek fan, but I didn’t join the Air Force to go into space.

Unless you’ve been living in a galaxy far, far away, you’ve probably heard of the newest branch of the U.S. military: the Space Force. President Trump created the new branch of the Air Force last year, declaring, “American superiority in space is absolutely vital and we’re leading, but we’re not leading by enough.”

The Space Force will be the smallest branch of the U.S. military — the Marine Corps is still more than 10 times its projected size — and will draw its personnel from current Air Force staff. The new branch will also absorb many of the Air Force’s existing responsibilities, including satellite operations and support for missile warning systems. Its first chief, General John Raymond, was sworn in last month.

So does signing up for the Space Force mean preparing to wage intergalactic battle? Not exactly. Instead, the Space Force is keeping its eyes on the stars but its feet on the ground, getting GPS information from satellites that helps the U.S. military operate in the field. We talked to Lt. Gen. David Thompson, the Space Force’s second-in-command, about the satellites his people will coordinate, avoiding space junk, and whether those new uniforms will include capes.

GEN: What is the Space Force actually going to do?

David Thompson: It’s clear that a lot of the American public doesn’t understand what we already created.

Three quick examples of what Space Force has been doing as part of the Air Force for years. A couple weeks back you heard about the satellite colliding over Pittsburgh, PA. U.S. Space Force is the force that keeps track of all of those objects — 26,000-plus objects, some of them pieces of debris, old satellites — where they are, where they’re going, whether they pose a danger to anybody. That’s one of the things that we do today in the Space Force, and have been doing for years.

Second, in the missile attacks at [Ain] al-Asad base several weeks back, you’ll recall the Iranians fired several missiles, but our crew at Buckley Air Force Base outside of Denver, Colorado, detected missiles that launched and provided warning to those Americans and our friends and allies at al-Asad, which put them all in protective shelters. Had that not happened, we might be talking about folks that died in that attack as opposed to injury. That’s Space Force.

And then we don’t just do it for the military, but we do it for the civilian population as well. How many times have you followed the blue dot on your smartphone? Have you paid for gas at the pump or in a convenience store? Have you checked the internet via your cellphone? All of those positioning things, timing synchronization activities, occur through GPS which is a U.S. Space Force [satellite] constellation. We do that not just for the general public but for ships in the ocean, airplanes, forces in the desert. All navigate by GPS. And those are just a couple things that we do today and will continue as part of the Space Force.

Musk proposal of Reusable Rockets for Space Force ignores Electromagnetic Propulsion

On February 27, at the US Air Force Association’s “Air Warfare Symposium”, Space X founder Elon Musk posed the question, “How do we make Starfleet real?” and he proposed reusable rockets as “absolutely fundamental” for the newly created Space Force.

Musk’s aggressive lobbying of reusable rocket propulsion technologies for future space exploration ignores increasing evidence that electromagnetic propulsion systems are not only scientifically feasible, but have been developed for classified spacecraft, many of which have been predicted to be soon transferred to Space Force.

Musk has undoubtedly shaken the conventional space industry with his pioneering work in developing reusable Falcon rockets for launching Dragon spacecraft that are used to deploy satellites and ferry supplies to the International Space Station. Many were thrilled to watch videos of the Falcon rockets safely returning either on land or on ocean-going barges, after some spectacular early failures.

The reusable Falcon rocket landings were followed later by Dragon spacecraft descending to Earth by first deploying parachutes to slow their descent through the atmosphere before performing an ocean splashdown. The manned version called Dragon 2 is designed to carry up to seven crew and will also perform a splashdown after completing its space mission. This effectively duplicates the Apollo era process for the return of manned space capsules.

Currently, Musk is developing a reusable Starship which again relies on rocket propulsion to take astronauts to the Moon and Mars. Measuring 160 feet (50 meters) in length, the Starship is significantly larger than the Dragon 2 and will sit atop a super heavy Falcon launch rocket. The Starship is designed to carry sufficient rocket fuel to make it possible to maneuver in space, land on the Moon, and return safely back to Earth.

At a February 28 test, a prototype Starship collapsed at the SpaceX facility in Boca Chia, Texas, showing similar development challenges to that previously faced with the Falcon rockets. Musk is confident that Space X will overcome these developmental problems and come up with a reusable spacecraft with similar capabilities to the abandoned Space Shuttle.

There is little doubt that the idea of reusable rockets is currently very helpful in transforming the space industry and moving things in the direction of multi-use space launch vehicles that will be much cheaper, reliable and safer. This has been predicted to kickstart a civilian space industry making it possible for space tourism to take off later this decade.

Musk’s ambitious plans to use reusable rockets for manned flights to service the International Space Station, trips to the Moon, and eventually establishing colonies on Mars does indeed raise important questions for the newly created Space Force. Are reusable rockets “absolutely fundamental” to Space Force as Musk contends?

There is little question, when one reviews the available evidence and whistleblower/insider testimonies that the US Air Force, like the Navy, has for decades been developing electromagnetic propulsion systems in multiple highly classified programs. I have presented the best available evidence in successive books on the secret space programs developed by the US Navy and USAF.

Very recently, the Navy has had one of its most innovative scientists, Dr. Salvator Pais, apply for patents showing the feasibility of an electromagnetically propelled hybrid spacecraft capable of traveling underwater, in the air and space. After the patent examiner rejected the application for the “Hybrid Aerospace Underwater Craft” as not scientifically feasible since it lacked an adequate power supply, the Navy intervened by having another scientist write a letter in support of Pais.

Dr. James Sheehy, the Chief Technology Officer for the Naval Aviation Enterprise pointed out that Pais’ patent application was scientifically feasible and was being experimented on. In his letter, Dr. Sheehy wrote about the electromagnetic propulsion systems making rocket engines obsolete:

If successful the realization of this result demonstrates that this patent documents the future state of the possible and moves propulsion technology beyond gas dynamic systems to field-induced propulsion based hybrid aerospace-undersea craft…

Upcoming March 21, 2020 Webinar on SSP Disclosure and US Navy Patents

Importantly, Sheehy went on in his letter to point out that China was working on similar electromagnetic propulsion systems. Not granting the patent would lead to China gaining the intellectual property rights on such innovative technology, which had been originally conceived in the US, and very likely acquired by China through industrial espionage.

Sheehy’s warning was correct, China has indeed acquired classified US aerospace technologies and is in the midst of a rapid development process for fleets of electromagnetically propelled vehicles that are part of a secret space program that is far more powerful than its public space program using rocket propulsion systems.

China aims to overtake the US as a leading space power by 2030 through advances in Artificial Intelligence and deployment of 5G systems that are at the core of its asymmetric military strategy dubbed “Assassin’s Mace”. In my new book, Rise of the Red Dragon: Origins and Threat of China’s Secret Space Program, the full extent of China’s technological advances and how it plans to use AI and 5G to achieve space dominance are laid out in detail.

Recently, a number of former servicemen from the USAF and Navy have come forward with their testimonies that the Tic Tac UFOs captured on infrared video by Navy pilots, had an important USAF connection. One of them, Mike Turber, says that he was told by a reliable source that the Tic Tac craft belonged to the USAF and had been built at its secretive Plant 42 facility in Palmdale, California, by leading aerospace contractors.

Given the abundant evidence that the USAF and Navy have secretly developed electromagnetic propulsion systems, why would the newly created Space Force be interested in Musk’s reusable rocket propulsion systems?

Sure, reusable rockets are superior to the expensive single-use rocket launch vehicles that have been dominant since the 2011 retirement of the Space Shuttle. However, both single-use and reusable rocket systems are dramatically inferior to electromagnetically propelled spacecraft capable of traveling at speeds that defy conventional physics, as spectacularly demonstrated by the Tic Tac UFO craft.

Musk made his comments in a fireside chat with Lieutenant General John Thomson, Commander of the USAF Space and Missiles Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, which was only a few months ago transferred over to Space Force. Was General Thomson genuinely interested in reusable rockets for Space Force or did he have another agenda in mind?

There are three possibilities that come to mind that help explain why General Thompson and Space Force may be interested in hearing Musk’s views about reusable rocket propulsion systems.

First, reusable rockets are a useful stepping-stone to the far more effective and powerful electromagnetic propulsion technologies that Space Force is in the process of receiving from the US Air Force’s secret space program, as I have discussed elsewhere. I find this possibility highly unlikely given the unnecessary expense of building reusable rocket technologies that Space Force leaders would deem vastly inferior to electromagnetically propelled spacecraft.

A second possibility is that Musk’s advocacy of reusable rockets might be a convenient smokescreen for Space Force deploying electromagnetically propelled spacecraft, without revealing the true propulsion system being used until the right time. Put simply, there may be a need for Space Force leaders to hide from the public the true origins and development history of its reusable spacecraft.

A third possibility is that General Thompson and Space Force intends to partner with Musk since he has shown with his innovative Tesla electric car company a sustained interest in moving the car industry away from fossil fuels to electrical energy. Musk can therefore in the future play a leading role in moving the space industry away from rockets towards electromagnetic propulsion systems.

Therefore, in responding to Musk’s question, “How do we make Starfleet real?”,  the answer is definitely not through reusable rockets as proposed by Musk. However, reusable rockets may be a convenient stepping stone or smokescreen for electromagnetic propulsion systems that Space Force will be deploying in the near future. Indeed, Musk may ultimately prove to be a pivotal figure in helping introduce electromagnetic propulsion systems to the general public as he learns about the classified technologies Space Force plans to release to the public.

Astronomer Has ‘Little Doubt’ We Are Not Alone in the Universe

• The discovery of extraterrestrial life is at the top of the priority list for NASA, the European Space Agency and the scientific community. In 2020, NASA will put another Mars rover on the Red Planet to look for evidence of past life. SETI continues listening to the night skies for signs of contact.

• Scientist Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock recently told The Guardian that she had very “little doubt” humans are not the only intelligent life to call this cosmos home. “There are just too many planets, galaxies, solar systems, moons and stars to think there can’t be more life,” said Aderin-Pocock. But she also shed doubt on ever finding any extraterrestrial life saying, “Maybe they came in the age of the dinosaurs and left because they had no one to communicate with.” “I think though that there’s a great many variables that would need to happen to result in us making contact.”

• Apollo 11 astronaut Michael Collins told the New York Daily News: “It seems to me the height of arrogance to say that our little stupid Sun off in one obscure corner of an odd galaxy called the Milky Way should be the only one in the whole universe capable of developing what we sometimes refer to as intelligent life.”

• SpaceX founder and South African billionaire Elon Musk thinks aliens could be real, but we will likely never find them. He points out that the universe is 13.8 billion years old – plenty of time for alien civilizations to rise and fall without humans ever noticing.

• NASA has been focusing on the discovery of habitable exoplanets situated in a ‘habitable zone’ where life could evolve around stars far outside of our solar system. NASA’s William Borucki said, “If we find lots of planets like ours, we’ll know it’s likely that we aren’t alone, and that someday we might be able to join other intelligent life in the universe.”

• NASA’s now-retired Kepler space telescope uncovered thousands of distant exoplanets since 2009. Kepler scientist Padi Boyd stated, “I think it’s a really exciting time to be a scientist.” “Here we are in a position to actually answer the question, ‘Are we alone?’ and be able to get a scientific answer.”

[Editor’s Note]  Excuse me, but the discovery of extraterrestrial life is NOT at the top of the priority list for NASA, the European Space Agency or the scientific community. This is a load of “scientific” misdirection and double-talk.  In spite of this article’s optimistic title, it is nothing more than a parade of deep state puppets (with the exception of Michael Collins) spouting the deep state’s agenda that while it may be possible that intelligent extraterrestrials exist somewhere, or may have existed in the past, our Earth civilization will never meet them. This is regarded as the “exciting” scientific point of view. They maintain this extraordinary lie so that the public won’t pay attention to the “kooks on the fringe” who claim that extraterrestrial life exists throughout the galaxy, that many alien races have visited the Earth, and they continue to do so. For the past seventy years, the deep state shadow government has done everything within its considerable power to hide this reality. The public is absolutely brain-washed to believe that aliens do not exist anywhere near our solar system, despite the overwhelming evidence of UFOs and extraterrestrial visitation. But very soon the truth will be revealed. And when the truth is finally revealed, people will remember these deep state institutions and ‘scientists’ who made a long and lucrative career of lying to the world.

The question of ‘are we alone in the universe’ has fascinated the scientific community for decades. Aliens and other extraterrestrial organisms are the top of the priority list for bodies like NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA).

In 2020, NASA will launch a Mars rover to the Red Planet to trawl the alien world for evidence of past life.

And projects like SETI or the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence are continuously listening to the night skies for signs of contact.

Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock is one of the scientists who have very “little doubt” humans are not the only intelligent life to call this cosmos home.

The space scientist told The Guardian the numbers are stacked in favour of a diverse universe.

Dr Aderin-Pocock said: “I sometimes wonder where the aliens are, but I have little doubt that they’re out there. It’s the numbers game.

SpaceX’s Starship Might Start Flying Moon Missions in 2022

Article by Mike Wall                                 November 19, 2019                              (space.com)

• In order to pass the costs of space travel to the private sector, 14 companies have been selected by NASA to participate in the space agency’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services program. Buying a ride on a private craft, rather than developing and building its own landers, will theoretically save the agency big bucks. Of these 14 companies, five have been invited to make a contract bid on a NASA payload scheduled for 2022.

• One of these five selected companies is Elon Musk’s ‘SpaceX’. Musk would rely on SpaceX’s reusable spaceship-rocket duo known as ‘Starship’ and ‘Super Heavy’. Starship is capable of carrying 110 tons (100 metric tons) to the moon’s surface. So there will be plenty of room to ferry gear for a variety of customers in its primarily unmanned cargo ships to the moon and Mars. The Starship and the Super Heavy are equipped to accommodate a manned crew as well.

• SpaceX does have one crewed Starship mission on its docket already. Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa has booked a flight around the moon for himself and a handful of artists in 2023.

• The other four companies that are eligible for lunar payloads are California-based Ceres Robotics and Tyvak Nano-Satellite Systems Inc.; Sierra Nevada Corp. of Colorado; and Washington-based Blue Origin, which will use its Blue Moon lander. Among the rest, ‘Astrobotic’ and ‘Intuitive Machines’ are already scheduled to deliver NASA science gear and a variety of other payloads to the lunar surface in July 2021.

• NASA views the privatization of space transport as a key to its Artemis program which aims to put two astronauts, including the first woman, on the moon by 2024 and establish a long-term human presence there by 2028. In May, NASA selected 11 private companies to build a prototype crewed Artemis lander. The companies submitted detailed proposals on November 8th. NASA is expected to pick the four finalists by early next year. In the meantime, unmanned commercial spacecraft will transport a variety of NASA experiments and hardware to the lunar surface that will pave the way for the astronaut pioneers. (see 1:11 minute NASA promo video for the Artemis Program below)

SpaceX’s huge Mars-colonizing Starship vehicle could make its first extraterrestrial touchdown just three short years.

SpaceX is one of five companies that are newly eligible to deliver robotic payloads to the lunar surface for NASA, via the agency’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) program. SpaceX proposes to do this work with Starship and Super Heavy, the reusable spaceship-rocket duo that the company is developing primarily to help humanity become a multiplanet species.

                             Elon Musk

And Starship could start putting NASA payloads down on Earth’s nearest neighbor quite soon, if all goes according to plan.

“We are aiming to be able to drop Starship on the lunar surface in 2022,” SpaceX president and chief operating officer Gwynne Shotwell said during a NASA-organized CLPS teleconference Monday (Nov. 18).

SpaceX is not guaranteed to fly a CLPS mission that year, or any year. SpaceX is just eligible now to bid on NASA lunar delivery services; it will still have to beat out the rest of the CLPS pool, which is now 14 companies strong, for each moon contract.

And each mission that Starship flies under the CLPS banner will almost certainly ferry gear for a variety of customers. Starship is capable of carrying 110 tons (100 metric tons) to the moon’s dusty gray surface on each trip, Shotwell said, and it’s hard to imagine NASA filling out that manifest by itself.

NASA views CLPS as a key enabler of its Artemis program of crewed lunar exploration, which aims to put two astronauts, including the first woman, on the moon by 2024 and establish a long-term human presence there by 2028.

‘Pretty Sure I’d Know if There Were Aliens’: Musk Dashes Hopes of Finding Extraterrestrial Life

Listen to “E117 10-6-19 ‘Pretty Sure I’d Know if There Were Aliens’: Musk Dashes Hopes of Finding Extraterrestrial Life” on Spreaker.

Article by Callaghan O’Hare                    September 29, 2019                      (rt.com)

• Elon Musk was in Brownsville, Texas on September 28th to unveil his prototype Starship  Mark-1 commercial passenger rocket to Mars. At the event, the SpaceX and Tesla CEO said that people often ask him about aliens. Musk responded that there are no aliens in Area 51, on Earth, or in the entire galaxy. “I’m pretty sure I’d know if there were aliens. I’ve not seen any signs of aliens,” said Musk. “As far as we know, we are the only consciousness or the only life that’s out there. There might be other life, but we’ve seen no signs of it.”

• Among the 48-year-old CEO’s other revelations, Musk believes the US military would proudly display any alien they had in their possession in order to secure more defense funding, and that the Earth has only a few hundred million years left before it is completely overheated by the Sun.

[Editor’s Note]  I’m “pretty sure” that Elon Musk is a Deep State stooge being paid off to spread the ridiculous disinformation that extraterrestrials do not exist in order to receive the billion dollar NASA space cargo contracts that he needs to maintain his foundering companies. Either that or he is a complete idiot.

Elon Musk says there are no aliens in Area 51, on Earth or, indeed, in the entire galaxy, because he’s “pretty sure” he would have seen some signs of them by now.

         Compromised or just stupid?

The SpaceX and Tesla CEO made the bold claim on stage on Saturday night while unveiling his Starship rocket prototype Mark-1 in Texas, which the company plans will one day transport humans to Mars.

Musk made several revelations during the 90-minute talk, including his belief that Earth only has a few hundred million years left before it is completely overheated by the Sun. The most controversial statement, however, was that he doesn’t believe alien life exists.

“As far as we know, we are the only consciousness or the only life that’s out there. There might be other life, but we’ve seen no signs of it,” said Musk.

Elon Musk: We Haven’t Been Talking To Any Aliens

Listen to “E92 9-11-19 Elon Musk: We Haven’t Been Talking To Any Aliens” on Spreaker.
Article by Jazz Shaw                   September 4, 2019                   (hotair.com)

• During a recent tech conference, (the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai), Tesla and SpaceX honcho Elon Musk addressed a few questions about the future of mankind.

• With regard to speculation about the US Government being in contact with extraterrestrials and covering up their existence from the public, Musk said: “There are people out there who think we have found aliens. Trust me, I would know. We have not.” Just how would Musk know all that the US government knows? By launching payloads into space for NASA and the military via rocket technology? Given his predilection for Twitter and social media rants, why would top government officials reveal anything to Musk?

• The tech mogul also made fun of the military/CIA base in Nevada known as Area 51. Said Musk, “People ask me if I have been to Area 51. Ok, please. SpaceX actually has area 59 and it’s eight better than area 51.”

• Musk was vocal about the importance of exploratory missions to Mars, particularly if something were to happen to the Earth. We only have a limited window of technological supremacy before a natural or man-made catastrophe renders humanity stranded on this planet. We need to make an effort to expand the human presence to planets beyond the Earth, and we have little time to waste. Otherwise, humanity could become just a ‘footnote in cosmic history’.

[Editor’s Note]   It appears that Elon Musk’s job is to toe the Deep State line that extraterrestrials do not exist, that Area 51 is unimportant, and that rocket propulsion is the extent of our current technology. He then throws in a bit of fear mongering that humanity could be doomed if we don’t advance the human presence beyond the Earth. All of this proves without a doubt that the South African billionaire is a Deep State asset. Musk certainly has the resources to learn the truth: that the cosmos is teeming with an infinite variety of extraterrestrial life, much of it far superior to humans in technology and spiritual consciousness; that Area 51 is a major focal point for research in extraterrestrial physiology and technology; and that there is an elite human “breakaway civilization” that has not only harnessed but currently employs propulsion technologies far in advance of combustion.  Their secret space programs have already extensively established off-planet operations centers, military bases, and civilian work colonies on the Moon, Mars, and throughout the solar system – and even beyond our star system far into the galaxy. Musk certainly knows all of this. So he is either complicit with the Deep State puppet masters, or he has been brain-washed to lie to the public. Was this the price he had to pay to get the NASA/military contracts to transport payloads into space, in order to save his foundering Tesla corporation?

What does Tesla and SpaceX honcho Elon Musk know that he’s not telling the rest of us? Perhaps a lot. Maybe nothing. I don’t know, but during a recent tech conference, Musk addressed a few questions about the future of mankind, space travel and “dem aliens” that left people in the audience scratching their heads. First of all, is the U.S. Government hiding information about extraterrestrial species from the public? Nope. He also dissed Area 51, but I’m pretty sure that part was just a joke. (Express.co.uk)

The tech mogul dismissed speculation about the US Government being in contact with aliens and covering up their existence from the public. He said: “There are people out there who think we have found aliens. Trust me, I would know: We have not.

            Deep State stooge Elon Musk

“People ask me if I have been to Area 51. Ok, please. SpaceX actually has area 59 and it’s eight better than area 51.”
Mr Musk also spoke out about the importance of future exploratory missions to Mars, particularly if something were to happen to the Earth.

What exactly is going on here? I’m really hoping this wasn’t another example of him, er… “indulging” himself as he did on Joe Rogan’s show before taking the stage. But let’s give him the benefit of the doubt and say that he’s not.

If Musk can state definitively that our government doesn’t have any additional information about possible extraterrestrials visiting the Earth, how would he have come by this information? Granted, he’s done a lot of work with NASA over the past decade and I’m fairly sure he’s even launched a few payloads for our military. But that doesn’t mean that they would spill the beans on absolutely everything to him.

Astronomers Are Asking Kids to Help Them Contact Aliens

by Sigal Samuel                   February 21, 2019                          (vox.com)

• In 1974, scientists at Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico used the 1,000-foot-wide radio telescope to send a carefully crafted radio broadcast into outer space – a message of zeros and ones meant to alert aliens to our existence for the first time. In honor of the 45th anniversary of that transmission, researchers at the observatory are pondering how to design a follow-up dispatch. Rather than asking their fellow experts, they’ve launched a global contest inviting youth, from kindergarteners to 16-year-olds, to create the New Arecibo Message.

• Says Abe Pacini, a researcher at Arecibo, “Sometimes the scientists are so focused on their topics and they can see stuff very deep but they cannot see very broad… Students know a little bit about everything, so they can see the big picture better. For sure they can design a message that is actually much more important.” Teams composed of up to ten students plus one mentor must register by March 20th. The more diverse the team is, the more points it gets. The contest guidelines recommend using social media to find possible teammates in other countries or regions. The Arecibo scientists will determine which, if any, message will be selected to represent Earth.

• The 1974 Arecibo message was authored by Frank Drake and Carl Sagan and provided basic information about us, like the position of Earth in our solar system, the size of the human population, the shape of the human body, and the double helix structure of DNA. (The information about the nucleotides in DNA has since been shown to be false.) The message was beamed at M13, a globular star cluster 25,000 light years away. (But these primitive radio waves would take 25,000 years for the message to get there.)

• Another determination that the scientists will make is the “risks of exposure” inherent in messaging alien civilizations. Scientists like the late Stephen Hawking and technologists like Elon Musk have warned that communicating with extraterrestrials could pose an existential threat to the Earth if the message is received by hostile aliens. In 2015, SETI researchers, Elon Musk, and others released a statement saying, “We strongly encourage vigorous international debate by a broadly representative body prior to engaging further in this activity.”

• Astronomer and science fiction author David Brin, one of the most vocal critics of an Arecibo Message, says that, “[M]ost of us are much more concerned about the arrogance these zealots are displaying by presuming to speak for a civilization of 8 billion people without ever exposing their assumptions to normal debate and risk assessment.” Brin also noted, “Their instrument (the Arecibo Telescope) is funded by the taxpayers.”

• Douglas Vakoch, an astrobiologist who worked at SETI before splitting off to found his own international organization, Messaging Extraterrestrial Intelligence (METI), points out that “[A]ny civilization that could do us harm would already know we’re here from our accidental TV and radio leakage.” Vakoch says that the most important aspect of this communication may be our announcing to the galaxy that we are ready to make contact. Known as the ‘Zoo Hypothesis’, this is the idea that extraterrestrials may be keeping an eye on our planet but are waiting for us to indicate that we want to be in contact and that we’re sophisticated enough to merit attention.

• Neither a 1967 Outer Space Treaty ratified by dozens of countries and adopted by the United Nations which laid out an anti-weaponization framework for space, nor a SETI post-ET-detection protocol drafted in the 1980’s, addresses any protocol for actively sending out messages to other civilizations.

• For Brin, all this anxiety over interstellar communication seems like a reflection of our anxieties about communicating with one another. Underneath the question of how to talk to alien minds is a question that’s much closer to home: how to make ourselves understood to other minds right here on Earth.

• On a bulletin board at the Arecibo visitor center where kids were invited to post messages, one child’s misspelled missive was especially poignant: “Earth is destroying it self. Help us! Please help! Send better knowledg.”

[Editor’s Note]   Sending radio waves into space is like traveling across the American continent in horse-drawn covered wagons. This is just another example of mainstream scientists pretending to be on the cutting edge of space exploration when, in fact, our secret space programs are hundreds of years more advanced in space technology. Also, this speculation as to what kinds of extraterrestrials are out there, and the hand-wringing at what hostile ETs might do to our planet if we are “found”, is just more disinformation. We already know that many, many types of ET beings have already been here throughout our human development on Earth, and have been actively interacting with Earth humans since WWII. All of this drama about searching for intelligent life in the cosmos is simply theater to placate a mind-controlled Earth populace.

The scientists at Arecibo Observatory, a gigantic radio telescope in Puerto Rico, are some of the smartest astronomers and physicists in the world. But they need help with their next big project — and for that, they’re turning to kids.
In 1974, scientists used the 1,000-foot-wide telescope to send a carefully crafted radio broadcast into outer space, a message of zeros and ones meant to alert aliens to our existence.

It was humanity’s first interstellar message intended to be picked up by aliens. We haven’t heard back from E.T. yet. But in honor of the 45th anniversary of that transmission, the researchers at the observatory are pondering how to design a follow-up dispatch. Rather than asking their fellow experts, they’ve launched a global contest inviting youth — from kindergarteners to 16-year-olds — to create the New Arecibo Message.

The Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico

The grand prize? A chance to have your message broadcast into the stars, and to potentially become the first human being ever to communicate with aliens.

I asked Alessandra Abe Pacini, a researcher at Arecibo who helped generate the idea for the contest, why kids are the best people for the job. “Sometimes the scientists are so focused on their topics and they can see stuff very deep but they cannot see very broad,” she said. “Students know a little bit about everything, so they can see the big picture better. For sure they can design a message that is actually much more important.”

But designing messages to aliens is a tricky business, on multiple levels. How do you write a missive that an alien intelligence will be able to understand? Should you avoid including sensitive information about humanity, in case that emboldens aliens to come to our planet and annihilate our species? Should you avoid transmitting messages into outer space altogether, because even just alerting aliens to our existence is too risky?

These questions are at the heart of a long-running, and sometimes very heated, debate among scientists. There’s no consensus about any of them, or even about the meta-question of who gets to decide on the answers.

One thing is clear, though: The stakes are extremely high. As scientists like the late Stephen Hawking and technologists like Elon Musk have warned, communicating with extraterrestrials could pose a catastrophic risk to humanity. In fact, if we send out a message and it’s received by less-than-friendly aliens, that could pose an existential threat not only to the human species but to every species on Earth.

The Original Arecibo Message

When space scientists wanted to celebrate a huge upgrade that had been made to the Arecibo Observatory in 1974, two of their greatest minds stepped up to draft a memo to aliens. It would be broadcast from the telescope during a public ceremony. Frank Drake, who came up with the famous “Drake Equation” for estimating the odds that intelligent life exists in our galaxy, crafted the message with help from Carl Sagan, the astronomer and popular science writer who penned Contact and popularized the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) organization.

Written in binary code — a series of ones and zeros — the message was designed with the hope of being intelligible to any aliens who might be listening. It sought to give them some basic information about us, like the position of Earth in our solar system, the size of the human population, the shape of the human body, and the double helix structure of DNA. When you look at the message in pictogram form, you can see all these components and more.

But this interstellar postcard was directed at M13, a globular star cluster 25,000 light years away, which may help explain why we haven’t heard back yet — it’ll take 25,000 years for the message to get there and the same amount of time for any reply to get back to us. The scientists chose that destination partly because the star cluster was big and relatively close, and partly just because it was within the telescope’s declination range (the part of the sky it can target) at the time of the ceremony.

In other words, the scientists weren’t really aiming to communicate with an alien civilization in their lifetimes so much as they were trying to publicly showcase the fact that their telescope could now do something incredible: For nearly three minutes, it sent a cosmic hello from humanity into the sky, as the audience assembled on site was moved to tears.

The Camera On Board the Spacecraft Photographed UFO Flying By

by Paradox                   December 15, 2018                      (micetimes.asia)

• On September 8, 2018, as Elon Musk’s Space X Unmanned Aerial Vehicle dubbed ‘Dragon’ was delivering it’s payload to the International Space Station, 400 km above the Pacific Ocean, a surveillance camera on the Dragon picked up another craft in the background. By the appearance of the craft, it was triangle-shaped, and may have been a ‘TR3B Astra’ craft. (see 10:24 minute video of triangular craft passing the ISS)

[Editor’s Note]  The TR3B is rumored to belong to the US Air Force and was built using secret advanced technology of the 1990’s, although far less advanced than some of the alien-based technology currently being developed. According to secret space program insiders such as Corey Goode, the TR3B is primarily used to transport cargo and personnel between Earth bases and the dozen or so Air Force space stations, which are far more technologically advanced than the International Space Station. Perhaps all of these secret stations and craft will be absorbed into President Trump’s new Space Force, and will then be revealed to the public.

Foreign media reported that the ISS crew successfully captured the cargo, delivered by UAV “Dragon”. The device, incidentally, belongs to the company “SpaceX”.

The head of the crew Alexander Gerst have used a mechanical “hand” to deliver “packages” on Board the space station. At the time of the punching operation, the astronauts raced at an altitude of 400 km above the Pacific ocean.

The drone was equipped with a surveillance camera which filmed everything that happens. As you might guess, it is on the video and noticed a strange triangular shaped object. As suggested by some individuals, UFOs, reflected light or emitted their own rays.

Ufologists decided that “Dragon” was filmed mythical flying machine called the “TR-3B Astra”. Device if you believe the stories, created in the United States with the use of alien technology.

However, many people agree that the frame has got the usual alien spacecraft. Is the company Ilona Mask you can’t cut a piece of video to show people the truth?

Elon Musk Plans On Sending People Past The Dark Side Of The Moon: Will They See Bases?

by Arjun Walia                      September 27, 2018                    (collective-evolution.com)

• Elon Musk plans to take his SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket to the Moon and Mars. Tom DeLonge of the ‘To the Stars Academy’ wants to tell the world that UFOs are real. Is this part of a plan by the world’s elite to further their own selfish agenda? Or it is truly intended to disclose the truth?

• Donald Trump has announced the United States’ intention of putting a base on the Moon. Private corporations are jumping on the opportunity for some type of space “tourism.”

• A Tokyo-based lunar exploration startup named Ispace has signed up for launches on Musk’s SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket in 2020 and 2021. The first will carry a lunar lander into orbit around the Moon, and the second aims to put one on the moon’s surface so it can deploy a pair of rovers. And a Japanese billionaire has signed up for he and his guests to be the first paying passengers to travel around the Moon on a SpaceX rocket in the year 2023. Elon himself may even go on this voyage.

• Col. Ross Dedrickson is one of approximately 500 members of the United States military who have revealed the presence of extraterrestrials on the Moon. Dedrickson claims that in the late 1970’s extraterrestrials destroyed a nuclear weapon before it could be deployed on the Moon.

• Strange artifacts and bases have been said to exist on the ‘dark side’ of the Moon. The Society for Planetary research (SETI) has identified “Unusual Structures on the Far Side of the Moon in the Crater Paracelsus C”, which non-human beings may have built.

• Remote viewers like Ingo Swann and Dr. Paul Smith from the Stargate program have ‘seen’ strange structures and humanoid creatures on the Moon.

• Will Musk be allowed to go to the Moon? If so, what will he find there? Will Musk be allowed to talk about what they find?

Elon Musk is making a lot of noise with regards to space. His latest announcement that he plans to send multiple people not just to Mars but also to the Moon is making headlines in the alternative news community for several reasons. One of the reasons is because there has been a tremendous amount of controversy surrounding what exactly is going on in space.

This confusion was further sparked when the To The Stars Academy, founded by Tom Delonge, revealed a plan dedicated to letting the world know that unidentified flying objects are real, despite the fact that it is well known. This is for the mainstream. They’ve released several videos in cooperation with the US government, and the team consists of world-renowned scientists, recently retired defense employees from the US government, former senior intelligence officers, and a recently retired Director of Lockheed Aerospace, who has stated that the technology utilized in these objects can actually alter space & time. You can read more about that here.

UFO Disclosure

We are in the midst of mainstream UFO disclosure; whether this is coming from good intentions that have humanity’s best interests at heart is another question. The global elite has always used major phenomena, like terrorism, to create solutions and implement political actions that best meets their needs. And since world domination seems to be at the top of the list, some have even suggested that mainstream UFO disclosure is driven by an elitist desire to stage a false flag alien invasion. Of course it’s also possible that it’s driven by good people from within, who actually want to get the truth out to the public. Is that what we’re now seeing?

The fact remains, we now have credible testimony from hundreds of military people, scientists, and academicians. We also have actual radar data, and materials have been retrieved from these objects. This is no longer taboo, and a large portion of the world seems to be well aware that many of these strange objects might actually be extraterrestrial in origin.

To The Moon

But what about the Moon? Will Elon Musk actually be allowed to venture to the Moon if something ‘out of this world’ is really going on there? For years, the lore surrounding the dark side of the moon, strange artifacts, bases and more have all been hinted at. Reports of artificially made structures on the moon are both common and persistent. Among the first were from George Leonard’s 1976 book, Somebody Else is on the Moon.

After NASA, Now SpaceX Delays Manned Moon Mission Fearing Extraterrestrial Aliens, Say Conspiracy Theorists

by Nirmal Narayanan               June 10, 2018                (ibtimes.co.in)

• SpaceX, the private space company led by South African billionaire Elon Musk recently revealed that they have delayed their plans to send private customers into the orbit of the Moon, citing “technical challenges”.

• A video by ‘Disclose TV’ and posted on the YouTube channel ‘UFO Mania’ (see 2:35 minute video below) suggests that the real reason behind the delay in the mission is related to extraterrestrials. Most of the commenters on the video argue that the reason behind the delay could be the presence of extraterrestrials on Moon. They believe that way back in the early 1970’s aliens warned humans never to come back to the Moon.

• Donald Trump’s 2017 Directives indicated that the United States was planning another manned-mission to the Moon. Then NASA announced that it canceled its Moon Rover program. Conspiracy theorists proclaimed that aliens are living in secret underground bases on the Moon, and that NASA and the U.S. government is intentionally covering-up the presence of aliens on the Moon.

[Editor’s Note]  See 2016 ExoPolitics article by Dr Michael Salla on why the Apollo Moon missions ended.

SpaceX, the private space company led by South African billionaire Elon Musk recently revealed that they have delayed their plans to send private customers to the orbit of the moon, raising suspicion over manned moon missions per se.

As per SpaceX, it is some technical issue which compels them to delay the mission but conspiracy theorists are not ready to believe Elon Musk and his company, and they have already put forward a theory surrounding aliens and extraterrestrials.

Something mysterious behind the mission’s delay?
A video uploaded by conspiracy theory YouTube channel ‘UFO Mania’ suggests that the real reason behind the delay in the mission could be something related to extraterrestrials. Using inputs from ‘Disclose TV’, the narrator of the video mostly talks about SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket in this clip. However, it is crystal clear that the conspiracy theory channel is not convinced with the technical issue explanation put forward by Elon Musk and his team.

“The company is also facing queries regarding the practicality of its flagship Falcon Heavy rocket which was launched for the very first time earlier this year. The rocket was the most powerful of its kind to leave the Earth’s orbit since the Apollo missions and so its launch, and the various technical problems which beset the team working on the project received widespread media scrutiny and scrutiny from industry experts,” said the conspiracy theory channel.

General public reacts
The video has already gone viral, and viewers were quick to speculate the real reason behind the moon mission delay.

Most of the people who watched the video strongly argue that the actual reason behind the delay could be the purported presence of extraterrestrials on Moon. These people believe that aliens have warned humans never to come back to the moon way back in the early 1970s.

Hate Speech Initiative a Trojan Horse for AI Takeover of Humanity

A February 8 video by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) promotes a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) based algorithm it calls the “Online Hate Index” which is aimed at identifying hate speech. The ADL believes that the AI algorithm can be used by social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter to identify and quickly remove hate speech.

In the video, Brittan Heller, the Director of the ADL Center for Technology & Society says the goal of the index is to:

Help tech platforms better understand the growing amount of hate on social media, and to use that information to address the problem. By combining Artificial Intelligence and machine learning and social science, the Online Hate Index will ultimately uncover and identify trends and patterns in hate speech across different platforms.

In its “Phase I Innovation Brief” published January 2018 on its website, the ADL further explains how “machine learning”, a form of Artificial Intelligence based on algorithms, can be used to identify and remove hate speech from social media platforms:

The Online Hate Index (OHI), a joint initiative of ADL’s Center for Technology and Society and UC Berkeley’s D-Lab, is designed to transform human understanding of hate speech via machine learning into a scalable tool that can be deployed on internet content to discover the scope and spread of online hate speech. Through a constantly-evolving process of machine learning, based on a protocol developed by a team of human coders as to what does and does not constitute hate speech, this tool will uncover and identify trends and patterns in hate speech across different online platforms, allowing us to push for the changes necessary to ensure that online communities are safe and inclusive spaces.

The ADL’s Online Hate Index is described as “a sentiment-based analysis that runs off of machine learning.” The ADL Brief goes on to say:

All the decisions that went into each step of creating the OHI were done with the aim of building a machine learning-enabled model that can be used to identify and help us understand hate speech online.

What the ADL and other promoters of AI based algorithms fail to grasp is the potential of AI to evolve through its programmed capacity for “machine learning” into the kind of fearsome interconnected sentient intelligence featured in movies such as the Terminator and Battlestar Galactica.

It is well known that scientists/inventors such as Stephen Hawkins and Elon Musk have been loudly warning about the long term threat posed by AI. They and others believe that AI poses an existential threat to humanity, and needs to be closely controlled and monitored. In a 2014 speech Musk said:

I think we should be very careful about artificial intelligence. If I had to guess at what our biggest existential threat is, it’s probably that. So we need to be very careful with artificial intelligence…. ‘I’m increasingly inclined to think that there should be some regulatory oversight, maybe at the national and international level, just to make sure that we don’t do something very foolish… With artificial intelligence we’re summoning the demon. You know those stories where there’s the guy with the pentagram, and the holy water, and … he’s sure he can control the demon? Doesn’t work out.

Musk’s view was echoed by Stephen Hawking who warned against the danger of AI in an interview with the BBC in December 2014:

The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race…. It would take off on its own, and re-design itself at an ever increasing rate.… Humans, who are limited by slow biological evolution, couldn’t compete, and would be superseded.

Similarly, Corey Goode, an alleged insider revealing the existence of multiple secret space programs, claims that AI is already a threat in deep space operations. When he first emerged in early 2015, Goode focused a great deal of attention on the AI threat, and continues to warn about it today.

He says that these programs, along with extraterrestrial civilizations, take strict security precautions to identify and remove any kind of AI signature:

There are a few ET “AI” Groups (ALL Malevolent to Humanity, from our perspective) that the SSP(s) (There are several Secret Space Programs) have been dealing with for decades.

If an “Asset” is “Scanned” and has a “Bio Neuro AI Signature”, “AI Nano Tech” or “Overlapping AI related EMG type Brian Wave Signature” (Or any other sign of AI exposure) those persons are immediately placed in isolation and are not allowed anywhere near the current era SSP(s) Technology (Which is “Mostly” Bio-Neurological and Consciousness Interactive) until they have been “Cleared” of all AI influences.

Now, let’s analyze all this in terms of what the ADL is proposing for social media platforms to use AI based algorithms to identify hate speech.

At first look, there is great appeal in the idea of monitoring speech and regulating people promoting fear, hate or violence against others whether on social, religious or economic grounds. After all, we all want to live in a peaceful and tolerant world, which includes cyberspace, so why not exclude intolerant and hateful individuals and groups from our social media platforms?

The big problem here of course is that there is a real danger that social media can be surreptitiously used to exclude dissenting political viewpoints under the guise of regulating hate speech. We see this already occurring with Youtube using an army of 10,000 volunteers from groups such as the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Many popular YouTube channels are being increasingly targeted by strikes and removals for behavior characterized as bullying or hate speech. Yet, this YouTube crackdown appears to be a cleverly disguised politically driven campaign to remove alternative voices questioning the official media narrative on a great number of social issues, rather than really cracking down on hate speech. I’ve written about the problem here.

What ADL is proposing, however, goes well beyond what YouTube is currently doing. The ADL is openly promoting a censorship system where it won’t be humans doing the actual monitoring and removal of hate speech but an AI algorithm. What might be the result of this if allowed to occur given the warnings of AI posed by Hawking, Musk and Goode?

It doesn’t take an Einstein to realize that if social media platforms did allow AI algorithms to monitor and censor content, that warnings about a future AI threat would themselves eventually be deemed to be a form of hate speech. After all, if corporations can be recognized to have the same rights as individuals according to the infamous Citizens United ruling by the Supreme Court in 2010, won’t AI sentience eventually also be recognized to have similar human rights in the U.S.?

We could very easily end up in a dystopian future where different forms of AI are used to monitor and regulate human behavior in egregious ways, and any humans protesting or warning what the AI system is doing would be censored for hate speech.

Given the existential threat posed by AI, if we accept what Hawking, Musk and Goode are telling us, let alone the inappropriateness of censoring alternative news perspectives in the first place, then free speech needs to be protected on social media at all costs.

In the U.S. this should not present too great challenge given the First Amendment Constitutional right to free speech, and legal remedies available in the Federal court system. Those individuals who threatened legal remedies to YouTube cracking down on their channels appear to have been the most successful in restoring their channels. YouTube apologized to such users for the overzealous behavior of its new army of 10,000 moderators.

However, the U.S. is an island in a vast ocean where other countries do actively punish individuals and groups for hate speech. This is where the future appears ominous given the temptation for national regulators to eventually punish social media platforms that don’t regulate hate speech. This would force Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and other platforms to adopt the AI based algorithms recommended by the ADL or other organizations for widespread usage.

This is likely to lead to a situation where major nations such as China, or supranational entities such as the European Union, might embrace AI algorithms to monitor and regular hate speech. China is already closely monitoring and removing dissident political thought from media platforms through firewalls, and may well be contemplating incorporating AI algorithms to do so more effectively.

While national regulators across the world may be tempted for different reasons to adopt the ADL’s proposal for AI algorithms to identify and remove hate speech, we need to firmly keep in mind that this would create a Trojan horse for eventual AI control of humanity.

Despite the genuine problems posed by hate speech, national regulators need to ensure that social media platforms are never regulated by AI algorithms given the potential for global security to be undermined, and humanity being genuinely imperiled by an AI takeover.
