‘Alien Spaceship’ Shot Down Over Scotland

by Sean Martin                     September 3, 2018                           (express.co.uk)

• The YouTube channel UFO Today released a video of a UFO over Kippen, Scotland as seen on the evening of September 1st (see 1:42 video below). Although completely silent except for a loud bang at the beginning, it appears that the UFO is in distress as it circles back and forth as it leaks some sort of strange glowing material.

• The video was shot by an unnamed woman in Scotland who sent it to the YouTube channel. One YouTube commenter points out that a smaller UFO (escape pod?) breaks off and goes upward toward the end of the video. Another commenter suggests that it “came through the portal too fast and lost control?”

• Others explain the sighting as sparklers attached to a kite. (You be the judge.)

[Editor’s Note]   Is this more evidence of a war being fought over our heads between the cabal’s secret space program and the breakaway Alliance SSP forces?

Conspiracy theorists believed they hit the jackpot when a video emerged of something strange circling in the night sky over Kippen, Scotland.

The bizarre footage, which was shot on September 1, shows something floating around in the sky with a strange material seemingly leaking from it.

This prompted conspiracy theorists to believe that it was a UFO which had been shot down.

The video was shot by an unnamed woman in Scotland who sent it through to popular conspiracy theorist channel UFO Today.

The description on the video reads: “The object was dropping a lot of glowing material while flying. She did know what this object was, but she was sure this was not something man made.

“It did not produce any sound at all. When I analysed the footage I noticed the object ejected a lot of material.”

Many of UFO Today’s followers were convinced the footage was of genuine UFO activity.

YouTuber David Leach wrote: “Excellent viewing. Leaking a lot of material. Near the end it looks like a smaller UFO breaks off and goes upward.

Starman 2710 added: “Came through the portal to fast and lost control?”

AKIJPN continued: “Definitely looks like some flying object is flying loosing its control. Amazing.”

UFO Sighting at Gloucester Railway Line Comes to Light 70 Years Later

by Kim Horton                    August 26, 2018                     (gloucestershirelive.co.uk)

• The owner of a book store in Gloucester, England, Goeff Cook, tells the story of a neighbor who was always interested in books about science fiction and UFOs. In 1980 after this man died, Cook asked the fellow’s son why his father was so interested in other worlds and aliens. The son recounted what his father had told him about a UFO experience he’d had.

• The father had been working the night shift at the railroad, buckling up carriages to the driver’s cab. He and a fellow railroad worker had finished their work and by early morning they’d gone into the driver’s cab to have a cup of tea. Suddenly a bright light came from the sky and a circular craft the length of two buses hovered about thirty feet above them. It remained hovering in the sky for about 20 minutes. They boy’s father says he just stared up at the craft, while his companion was so scared he vomited. Finally, the craft shot away out of sight. The railroad workers never reported the incident for fear that they would be accused of being drunk and lose their jobs.

[Editor’s Note]  There seems to be more and more accounts, between the 1940’s to the 1970’s, of all types of strange UFO craft and even stranger non-human people or creatures visiting the Earth. These encounters drop off sharply in the 1980’s, just when the US Navy’s ‘Solar Warden’ fleet of eight spacecraft were initially deployed to intercept and prevent these types of unauthorized craft from visiting the planet.

Tales of UFOs are not as rare as you might think.

But sometimes – like now – a story about a sighting may come to light years later, as it was frowned upon to talk about such things back then.

Quayside Books shop owner Geoff Cook has been a resident in Gloucester for years and in 1980 was a resident at Priory Road.

His neighbour was always interested in books about science fiction and UFOs. Sadly the neighbour passed away and it led to Geoff and his neighbour’s son striking up a conversation as to why his father was so interested in other worlds and aliens.

Mr Cook said: “I was curious as to why this chap was so interested in sci-fi and eventually after sometime his son related the story to me. He did initially say that his father had an experience that he did not like to talk about.

“It turns out that the father had been working at the Over railway. They used to use the line there to make up the trains for the next day. A lot of the trains would be used the next day to go to South Wales.

“So they would buckle up the carriages to the drivers cab and when they had finished their work for the day their time was their own.”

The workmen had finished their work for the nightshift and went into the drivers cab to have a cup of tea. What happened next was something that they had both agreed to not discuss again.

Mr Cook said: “So whilst they were having a cup of tea in the early hours of the morning they had this experience. It is very hard to believe but this bright light came out of the sky.

“A circular craft hovered around 30 feet in the sky above them in the craft. The other workman vomited instantly as he was so frightened. The UFO was described as being two buses long.”

People often describe UFO sightings as a brief encounter. However this was not the case this time.

Mr Cook said: “The UFO was there for an estimated 15 to 20 minutes. Whilst the other man was being sick the other chap could not believe what he was seeing and just kept looking up at this bright light.

“After all this time which seemed like an eternity with no acceleration it went at speed and was just gone.

“They never reported it and it went unrecorded as they were fearful that they would get sacked and accused of being drunk on the job.

“It is quite unbelievable but I do believe that the source is genuine and it took years to be able to get the full version of events.”

The Unsolved Mystery of the Lubbock Lights UFO Sightings

by Hadley Mears                    August 8, 2018                       (history.com)

• On August 25, 1951, a handful of scientists from Texas Technical College in Lubbock, Texas were hanging out and drinking tea in a fellow professors backyard. At 9:20 pm, they all saw a V-shaped formation of 15 to 30 blueish-green lights passing overhead. An hour later the lights appeared again in the sky, traveling from north to south.

• The sightings of these V-formation lights, or possibly a flying wing with lights on it, were seen by hundreds more over the next two weeks. A Lubbock rancher’s wife saw an ‘airplane without a body’ fly over her house, again with pairs of glowing bluish lights on the back edges of the wings.

• 350 miles away in Albuquerque, New Mexico, as a Sandia Atomic Energy Commission employee and his wife as they sat outside, they saw a huge airplane flying silently over their house. At the edges of the planes wings were six to eight pairs of soft, glowing, bluish lights.

• In the meantime, the Texas Tech professors began their own informal investigation. In the weeks after their initial sighting, they all saw the lights a dozen more times. They noted that they always traveled from north to south. Their experiences lined up with those of the other Lubbock residents who claimed to have seen the lights.

• “The Lubbock Lights incident persists in the memory of many older citizens. Dr. Monte L. Monroe, archivist at Texas Tech University, told Texas Highways Magazine. “Mention the event, and everyone has an opinion. Some believe the bright, semicircular, so-called ‘string of beads’ crossed the sky at great speed, high in the stratosphere. Few agree with the streetlight-illuminated, migratory duck-bellies theory ventured at the time by skeptics or in the Air Force report.”

• On August 31st, a Texas Tech freshman named Carl Hart, Jr. was looking out for the infamous lights when he saw them come. He went out to his yard with a camera and took photos of them (image above) as they again passed overhead. He managed to take five photos of the V-shaped lights, or flying wing with lights. They are the only images caught of what hundreds were claiming they saw. Over 40 years later, in a rare interview, Carl Hart, Jr. said he still had no idea what he had photographed that August night. But like hundreds of others witnesses in and around Lubbock, he saw something he would never forget.

August 25, 1951 was a quiet summer night in Lubbock, Texas. That evening, a handful of scientists from Texas Technical College were hanging out in the backyard of geology professor Dr. W.I. Robinson, drinking tea and chatting about micrometeorites. It was quite the brain trust: chemical engineering professor Dr. A. G. Oberg, physics professor Dr. George and Dr. W. L. Ducker, head of the petroleum-engineering department.

Which made the story of what they witnessed that night all the more curious.

“If a group had been hand-picked to observe a UFO, we couldn’t have picked a more technically qualified group of people,” wrote U.S. Air Force Captain Edward J. Ruppelt later in his definitive 1956 casebook, The Report on Unidentified Flying Objects. In the early 1950s Ruppelt served as lead investigator for Project Blue Book, the official Air Force investigations into UFO sightings, after working on its precursor effort, Project Grudge.

Sightings of the blue-green lights kept growing

Around 9:20 p.m., the university colleagues saw something otherworldly in the expansive Texas sky: a V-shaped formation of 15 to 30 blueish-green lights passing overhead. Stunned, but still using their trained scientific reasoning, they figured the lights would reappear. And they did, about an hour later, in a more haphazard formation. The scientists were all in agreement: They had witnessed something fantastic—but what was it?

The professors weren’t the only credible witnesses to the mysterious blue-green lights that night. At dusk, in Albuquerque, New Mexico (about 350 miles away from Lubbock), an employee of the Atomic Energy Commission’s top-secret Sandia Corporation—a man with a high-level “Q” security clearance—had been sitting outside with his wife. According to Ruppelt: They were gazing at the night sky, commenting on how beautiful it was when both of them were startled at the sight of a huge airplane flying swiftly and silently over their home… On the aft edge of the wings, there were six to eight pairs of soft, glowing, bluish lights.

An hour or so after, according to a retired rancher from Lubbock, his wife had seen something terrifying in the night sky. Ruppelt described it this way: Just after dark, his wife had gone outdoors to take some sheets off the clothesline. He was inside the house reading the paper. Suddenly his wife had rushed into the house…“as white as the sheets she was carrying.” The reason his wife was so upset was that she had seen a large object glide swiftly and silently over the house. She said it looked like “an airplane without a body.” On the back edge of the wing were pairs of glowing bluish lights.

By the time Ruppelt flew into Lubbock to investigate the sightings in late September, hundreds of residents had seen the lights over a period of two weeks.

Audio Reveals Creepy Details of UFO Mystery

by Ally Foster                     August 7, 2018                       (foxnews.com)

• The largest mass UFO sighting in Australia occurred on April 6, 1966 when 350 school children and faculty of Westall High School in Melbourne watched a UFO hover over nearby field for twenty minutes. While today the event is commemorated by a memorial park at the site, it was initially covered up by the school authority. An audio recording of an interview with an eye witness to the event, Westall science teacher Andrew Greenwood, by American UFO researcher Dr. James E. McDonald, has recently surfaced. (see below for 9:21 minute audio interview)

• On that fateful day, Greenwood was in his classroom when a child ran in and said, “there’s a flying saucer outside!” When he went outside to take a look, he saw a group of children in the corner of the school grounds watching a silver, saucer-shaped UFO about the size of a car with a metal rod sticking up, hovering close to a powerline. As more people began to gather to watch, five planes came and surrounded the object in the air. The UFO would dart from side to side to avoid the planes. This went on for twenty minutes before 350 witnesses. The headmaster was so “scared” and “disturbed” by the incident, however, that he refused to come outside until the object was gone.

• Suddenly the UFO shot away and vanished within seconds. The school’s headmaster then came out and ordered everyone to go back to class. “He gave the school a lecture and told the children they would be severely punished if they talked about this matter, and told the staff they could lose their jobs if they mentioned it at all,” said McDonald. The headmaster refused to talk with the Royal Australian Air Force. Then the infamous Men in Black showed up and warned everyone not to speak of the incident.

• After the Men in Black’s visit, nearly everyone shut up and refused to talk about it, even after they’d previously described the entire event in great detail. Over the years, there have been differing reports about the details of what happened at Westall High School, such as people claiming there were not just one but three saucer-like objects in the sky that day. Some believe it was an alien encounter while others suspect the government had something to do with it.

In 1966, over 300 children and staff from a Melbourne school reportedly witnessed multiple UFOs silently flying through the sky before landing in a nearby field.

It is the largest mass UFO sighting in Australia, yet hardly anything was reported on it at the time.
Over the years, there have been differing reports about the details of what happened on April 6 at Westall High School, such as people claiming there were three saucerlike objects, while some thought there was just one.

In the 52 years since, there has been wide speculation about what people saw, with some believing it was an alien encounter and others pointing the finger at the government testing new technology.

Throughout all the years of speculation, however, one particularly interesting piece of audio has been greatly overlooked.

An American physicist known for his research into UFOs, Dr. James E. McDonald, conducted an interview with a science teacher from the Westall school, Andrew Greenwood, who witnessed the event.

He then recorded himself describing their meeting and the creepy details Mr. Greenwood gave about his experience. “Greenwood told me the UFO was first brought to his attention by a hysterical child who ran into his classroom and told him there’s a flying saucer outside,” Dr. McDonald said.

“He thought this child had become deranged or something so he didn’t take any notice, but when the child insisted that this object was in the sky he decided to go out and have a look for himself.”

When he went outside, he noticed a group of children looking toward the northeast area of the school grounds and as he approached them he claims he saw a UFO hovering close to the powerline.
Mr. Greenwood described it as a round, silver object about the size of a car with a metal rod sticking up in the air.

According to Dr. McDonald, the teacher then told him five planes came and surrounded the object as more people began gathering to watch the scene before them.

Northwestern Ontario’s UFO Encounters the Topic of New Documentary

by Kris Ketonen                  July 28, 2018                     (cbc.ca)

• Filmmaker Dee McCullay and researcher Kim Casey are currently working on a documentary, titled “Northern Lights” that relates strange UFO-related encounters reported in northwestern Ontario, Canada. Their research turned up nearly 200 incidents, stretching back to 1914. The bulk of the reports come from Thunder Bay, although the region overall is well-represented, says McCullay.

• Among the favorites is a tale from Black Sturgeon River Provincial Park, where two men were working on a dock. It was getting late, and rather than having to return on Monday to finish the job, they decided to camp for the night and finish their work the next morning. “They both woke up at about two in the morning,” says McCullay. “Didn’t say a word to each other, yet they were both breaking camp.” “They get in the truck. As they’re just about to leave they happen to look up in the same spot.” “At the top of one of these jackpines, they saw a cat person up there. It had human and cat features, and was hanging from one of the jackpines.” “They completely freaked out. The guy hit the gas. He never let up until they hit the highway; that’s when they finally started talking about it.”

• Another report comes from the 1950’s at a Thunder Bay power station. “They had a massive, complete power outage, and the guys were running around there, trying to figure out what was going on,” McCullay said. “They got the crew together, the work crew, and they come outside into the yard.” “That’s when they saw a giant, metallic disc hovering over the power plant.” “The thing just sped off, and then the power restored.”

• The documentary is due to be released in the fall, and they are still looking for stories to include.

Strange lights in the sky. Metallic discs hovering over a power plant during a blackout. Even three-foot-tall cat people in the trees.

That’s just a sampling of the strange UFO-related encounters reported over the last century in northwestern Ontario, according to two researchers busily putting a new documentary together on the subject.

“There is something actually going on,” filmmaker Dee McCullay said of the documentary, titled Northern Lights, he’s working on with author and researcher Kim Casey. “There are many people out there with similar experiences.”

Dee McCullay

McCullay — who’s also behind the two Sasquatch on Lake Superior documentaries — said the idea for the UFO documentary came from Casey.

“She was working on a paranormal project,” McCullay said. “She was researching the subject of UFOs, and she presented me with the idea of doing a UFO documentary.”

Research into regional reports has so far turned up nearly 200 incidents, stretching back to 1914. The bulk of the reports come from Thunder Bay, although the region overall is well-represented, McCullay said.

Cat people, power outages

Among his favourites thus far is a tale from Black Sturgeon River Provincial Park, where, as the story goes, two men were working on a dock.

“It was a Friday night, and they were supposed to come back Monday to finish the job,” McCullay said. “It would only take a few hours.”

But it was getting late, and they decided to camp for the night, and finish their work the next morning.

“For some reason, they both woke up at about two in the morning,” McCullay said. “Didn’t say a word to each other, yet they were both breaking camp.”

“They get in the truck, as they’re just about to leave they happen to look up in the same spot,” he said. “At the top of one of these jackpines, they saw a cat person up there. It had human and cat features, and was hanging from one of the jackpines.”

“They completely freaked out, the guy hit the gas. He never let up until they hit the highway; that’s when they finally started talking about it.”

Pilot’s Strange Act Before UFO Sighting

by Ally Foster                      July 29, 2018                    (news.com.au)

• On October 21, 1978, 20-year-old Australian, Frederick Valentich, rented a single engine plane out of Victoria’s Moorabbin Airport with plans of heading to Tasmania’s King Island. Airborne, he noticed that he was being followed by another aircraft. Then something zoomed overhead. Valentich radioed Melbourne Airflight Service Controller, Steve Robey, to ask if there were any known aircraft in the area. Robey replied that there was “no known traffic” in the area.

• Then Valentich reported that the mystery aircraft was “playing” with him. “It seems to me that he’s playing some sort of game,” he said. “He’s flying over me two, three times, at a time at speeds I could not identify.” Valentich describes it as long, metallic and with a green light. The UFO vanishes before suddenly reappearing on his other side. At this point, Valentich says his final words: “It is hovering and it is not an aircraft.” His radio cut off and he, and the aircraft he was piloting, were never seen again.

• An extensive search was conducted of the water and any surrounding land but Valentich nor any indication of a crash site was ever found. The incident gained worldwide attention with many, including his father, believing that he had been abducted by a UFO.

• Others believed that Valentich faked his own death or was flying upside down and the lights he saw were actually his own reflecting on the water before he crashed. It was later discovered that Valentich was obsessed with UFO’s and had watched numerous movies and collected articles on the topic.

• Forty years later, all that remains of Frederick Valentich’s infamous flight is a plaque at Otway lighthouse commemorating his strange disappearance.

“IT IS hovering and it is not an aircraft.”

These are the last words anyone ever heard Frederick Valentich say before his radio cut off and he, and the aircraft he was piloting, were never seen again.

                   Frederick Valentich

On October 21, 1978, a 20-year-old Valentich rented a single engine plane out of Victoria’s Moorabbin Airport with plans of heading to Tasmania’s King Island to catch seafood.

But things took a terrifying turn when he noticed he was being followed by another aircraft.

It has been 40 years since the young Aussie pilot disappeared over the Bass Strait and in that time no one has come any closer to finding out what happened to him.

The only clue left behind was a radio conversation between him and Melbourne Airflight Service Controller, Steve Robey.

It was 7pm when Valentich radioed in to ask if there were any known aircraft in the area, just after something zoomed overhead.

Robey informed him that there was “no known traffic” in the area and inquired as to what type of plane it was.

“I cannot affirm. It is four bright, it seems to me, like landing lights. The aircraft has just passed over me at least a thousand feet above,” Valentich said.

a plaque to Frederick at                                 the Otway Lighthouse

As the transmission went on things got even more unnerving, with Valentich reporting that the mystery aircraft was “playing” with him.

“It seems to me that he’s playing some sort of game,” he said.

“He’s flying over me two, three times, at a time at speeds I could not identify.”

The conversation continues with the controller trying to get more information about what the object actually is.

Valentich describes it as long, metallic and with a green light.

At one point the aircraft vanishes before suddenly reappearing on his other side.

It’s at this point that Valentich says his final, terrifying words: “It is hovering and it is not an aircraft.”

Strange Object Spotted on Google Earth, Triggers UFO Crash Rumors

by Nirmal Narayanan                 July 26, 2018                (ibtimes.sg)

• YouTube channel ‘The Hidden Underbelly 2.0’ has released a video which shows a round flying saucer-shaped object spotted in the Aegean Sea, just a few miles off the Greek coast. The video description states that the image can be viewed on Google Earth at coordinates 40°27’4.62″ 22°51’39.78″.

• In the 2:01 minute video (below), the narrator of the video zooms into the coordinates and soon, object emerges below the oceanic water. The object spotted in the sea might be measuring more than 220 feet in width.

• Some theorists claim that the object might be a “USO” – an Unidentified Submerged Object which is being used by aliens to travel in the depths of the ocean.

Conspiracy theory YouTube channel ‘The Hidden Underbelly 2.0’ has released an eerie video which shows a strange object spotted in the Aegean Sea, just a few miles off the Greece coast. The conspiracy theory channel alleges that the newly discovered object spotted with the help of Google Earth might be actually a crashed unidentified flying object (UFO).

In the video, the narrator of the video zooms into the coordinates and soon, a round flying saucer-shaped object emerges below the oceanic water. After initial analysis, the conspiracy theorist revealed that the object spotted in the sea might be measuring more than 220 feet in width.

“This image can be viewed on Google Earth and here are the Coordinates 40°27’4.62″ 22°51’39.78″ So please have a look for yourself and according to the Google earth measurements this object is over 220 feet in length,” wrote the conspiracy theorist in the video description.

In the meantime, a section of conspiracy theorists has started claiming that the object found underwater might be an unidentified submerged object (USO) which is being used by aliens to travel in the depths of the ocean. Previously, several conspiracy theorists had claimed that aliens are living in the depths of the ocean, and they argue that the increased UFO sightings above oceans are an indication which proves their existence.

Former Pentagon Official Calls for Big UFO Reveal After Secret Investigation

by Michelle Basch                   July 26, 2018                  (wtop.com)

• Retired Air Force Col. David Shea, 80, was the U.S. Air Force press spokesman from 1967 to 1971. In 1969 he announced the end of Project Blue Book by concluding that there was no threat to national security, no sign of advanced technology and no evidence that UFOs are extraterrestrial. Retiring from the Air Force after 29 years, Shea then spent 20-plus years working for Hughes Aircraft and Raytheon.

• Shea is a staunch skeptic of the existence of UFO’s from other worlds. “I would believe if I saw some evidence that showed we were visited by alien spacecraft, but there hasn’t been evidence to my mind of such,” says Shea.  (see 2:24 minute video of Col. Shea below)

• In 1947, when a veteran pilot reported seeing nine ‘flying saucers’ near Mt. Rainier in Washington, the Army Air Corps began to investigate. By the end of 1949, the Air Force had determined that “… there was no threat, and there was no visitation, there was no advanced technology.” But the Air Force continued to investigate UFOs under projects such as Project Blue Book.

• As a public relations man, Shea thinks that the Air Force inadvertently created a PR nightmare. “What was initially an intelligence matter quickly evolved into a PR problem of the greatest magnitude,” says Shea. “The Air Force, ignoring public opinion on the subject, failed to communicate its conviction that UFOs were no cause for alarm and consequently was unable to convince the American public that what it was saying about UFOs was true.” “During its more-than-20-year history of investigating flying saucers, the Air Force has been accused of almost every conceivable sin, and had been guilty of most,” says Shea.

• Shea is not swayed at all by the NY Times’ revelation of a recent Pentagon program that studied UFOs and the release of several military videos of UFOs. “They saw something, but we don’t know what it is, and we don’t have the evidence to suggest what it may be. So again, it comes back to the word ‘evidence.’” Shea thinks that with the closing of Project Blue Book, the government ‘washed its hands of UFOs’. So he wonders, “Why would the government want to do that again? …We’ve been there, done that.”

• Shea says that the Air Force was placed in the impossible position of trying to prove that aliens are not whizzing around above Earth. According to Shea, despite “exhaustive” investigations and studies of UFOs, the government has come up with nothing. “No eureka moment. No threat. No advanced technology. No alien spacecraft.” “You can’t prove that something doesn’t exist. Why doesn’t the other guy prove that (UFOs do) exist?” he said. Asked if, to his knowledge, the government has covered up evidence of alien visitation in the past, Shea says, “Absolutely not. It would be impossible to do so in our environment of leakers and whistleblowers.”

• Shea thinks the Air Force is misunderstood. “The Air Force has never said that UFOs aren’t spacecraft from another civilization. What the Air Force has said is that there’s no convincing evidence that they present a threat, or they advance scientific knowledge, or that they are alien spacecraft. Convincing evidence is the key, and that’s what we don’t have,” said Shea. Just because a military pilot spots or chases a UFO doesn’t mean the unidentified object should be considered a threat to national security, said Shea. “I would say we would be concerned if they were fired upon. We would be concerned if they started bombing our bases. None of that has happened, so whatever they’re seeing doesn’t seem to be hostile in nature. Not to worry, is what I would say.”

[Editor’s Note] Where is the evidence of UFOs? Take a look at this website. At 80 years old, Shea is clinging to his Air Force pension with both hands. The government hides all evidence of extraterrestrials, and then uses the lack of evidence to prove that extraterrestrials do not exist. Shea’s reasoning is: ‘so long as the government says that UFOs do not pose a threat, then who cares what they are?’ Shea is completely brain washed. He thinks that the whole issue of UFOs and extraterrestrials should remain hidden from the public in black projects and secret space programs. This is the attitude of the ‘old guard’ military and government authority, and this is exactly why our society has been prevented from making any real technological advancement in the past 70 years. So keep spouting your disinformation, Col. Shea, and keep collecting those retirement checks.

NORTHERN VIRGINIA — If evidence proving that extraterrestrials visited Earth has been squirreled away behind locked doors in Nevada, a former Pentagon official is calling for a big reveal.

“Show it to the National Academy of Sciences. Don’t hide it. Show it! We’ve been waiting for it! We’ve been waiting for it forever,” retired Air Force Col. David Shea said, raising his voice. “But so far, that hasn’t happened, and I don’t know why.”

Shea, 80, was the Air Force’s press spokesman on UFOs at the Pentagon from 1967 to 1971. He considers himself an “agnostic” when it comes to whether some unidentified flying objects are ships piloted by intelligent beings from faraway worlds.

Retired Air Force Col. David Shea

“I would believe if I saw some evidence that showed we were visited by alien spacecraft, but there hasn’t been evidence to my mind of such,” he said in an interview at his Northern Virginia home.

In 1969, Shea wrote the news release that announced the end of Project Blue Book, an Air Force investigation of more than 12,000 UFO reports.

It concluded that there was no threat to national security, no sign of advanced technology and no evidence that UFOs are extraterrestrial.

And with that, it appeared to the public that the government had washed its hands of UFOs.

But in December, almost 50 years after Project Blue Book ended, came explosive news.

The New York Times reported that Bigelow Aerospace had been storing material recovered from “unidentified aerial phenomena” in its buildings in Las Vegas as part of a secret Pentagon UFO investigation project called the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP).

Shea was not surprised by news of the project’s existence, but he thinks if more people were aware of the government’s history with UFOs, they would better understand why, in his opinion, the government should not get involved again.

“The UFOs never seem to go away,” he said.

Scotland’s Greatest UFO Mysteries

by Susan Swarbrick                  July 22, 2018                  (heraldscotland.com)

• Here are some of the more famous UFO sightings in Scotland:

• On November 9, 1979, forestry worker Robert Taylor came across “a huge flying dome” in a woodland clearing near Dechmont Law in Livingston, Scotland. Taylor described it as a circular sphere, approximately seven yards (6.4 metres) in diameter, hovering above the forest floor. It was made of “a dark metallic material with a rough texture like sandpaper”. The outer rim was “set with small propellers”. As Taylor approached the sphere, two smaller spheres, each about three feet wide with protruding metal spikes “similar to sea mines”, dropped down from the mother craft and rolled towards him. Taylor claimed to have experienced an acrid smell “like burning brakes” and the sensation of being dragged. Taylor then lost consciousness and awoke, with his head pounding and a bitter taste in his mouth, to find the objects were gone. Taylor was unable to walk or talk. He crawled to his van but couldn’t start it and had to walk the mile to his Livingston home. Taylor was disorientated and disheveled with scrapes on his legs and chin, and torn work pants. The police returned to the site with Taylor where they found “ladder-shaped marks” in the soil where the craft was said to have hovered, and further marks following the path of the mine-like objects. The case is unique in British history as the only example of a UFO sighting becoming the subject of a criminal investigation. Taylor, who died in 2007, never sought publicity or financial gain – and always stood by every word of his account.

• In October 1996, Barry MacDonald captured a video of an orange oval light in the skies above Falkirk, Scotland. He watched as the UFOs changed from “big, black and cigar-shaped” to “a bright light criss-crossed by stripes of different colours”, and then becoming the classic white disc “flying saucer”. Falkirk continues to be a UFO hot spot with an accumulation of incidents stretching from the early 1990’s right up until last year.

• In April 1984, Sid and Gwen Freeman from Blairgowrie, Perthshire, Scotland saw a UFO hovering over their garden. They were then visited by twelve men dressed in black. The town often gets reports of strange balls of light in the sky, and it is the location of Scotland’s first ever crop circle in 1990.

• In 1767, the Annual Register reported a pyramid-shaped object that moved “with great speed and disappeared a little above Blairgowrie (Scotland)” leaving a partly destroyed house and bridge.

• On August 17, 1992, Garry Wood and Colin Wright were travelling on the A70 near Harperrig Reservoir when they saw a two-tiered, disc-shaped object above the road. When they passed beneath the UFO, it appeared to emit a “curtain of white light” and the pair reported being temporarily enveloped in a black void for what felt like 10-15 seconds. Their car began shuddering and they emerged to find themselves driving on the wrong side of the road, with several hours were unaccounted for. Later, under hypnosis, both men recalled an alien abduction and being subjected to a medical-type examination.

• On October 7, 1990, at the Forth Rail Bridge just west of Edinburgh, Lyn Livingston caught sight of a circular object with a base made up of intermittent red, white and blue lights in the sky. The UFO was said to have rotated and appeared to change shape, forming a projecting cone of white-colored lights. It stayed in position for 15 minutes before drifting off towards the Fife coast. There were a number of witnesses and the incident received a lot of publicity.

• In December 1983 in Glasgow, Scotland, Tom Coventry saw what looked like a railway carriage-shaped object passed 20ft above his head. Coventry could see three windows at the front of the craft and swirling yellow smoke inside. He also said that everything stood still for a moment.

• In 1955 in west Glasgow, a UFO was reported at Belhaven Terrace children playing outside saw several ‘entities’ dressed in long white clothes and floating above the ground. In 1976, in nearby Westbourne Gardens, several people saw this silver disc-shaped object hovering about 100ft above the ground.

• In 1992, David Evans began seeing UFOs regularly flying over his home from a ‘base’ inside hills near Dunblane, Scotland. Evans also believed that something had come into his house and disturbed various things.

• One of the puzzles of the UFO phenomenon is that people do report different shaped objects and types of aliens. In one case, a 10-year-old girl walking in the woods in Meigle, Perthshire, Scotland, came across a group of small, blue beings. She was beamed up into a spacecraft where the beings looked at her and then beamed her back down. She had been gone for hours.

Ahead of the Scottish UFO and Paranormal Conference 2018 in Glasgow next weekend (July 28), we recount some of the most intriguing unexplained cases of flying saucers, strange lights in the sky and alleged alien abductions.

West Lothian: The Livingston Incident

Forestry worker Robert Taylor found himself at the centre of one of Scotland’s most famous UFO mysteries when he stumbled across a “a huge flying dome” in a woodland clearing near Dechmont Law in Livingston on November 9, 1979.

Taylor was checking the progress of new saplings when he saw what he described as a large, circular sphere approximately seven yards (6.4 metres) in diameter, hovering above the forest floor.
He said the object was “a dark metallic material with a rough texture like sandpaper”. The outer rim was “set with small propellers”.

As he approached, two smaller spheres, each about three feet wide with protruding metal spikes “similar to sea mines”, dropped down from the mother craft and rolled towards him. Taylor claimed to have experienced an acrid smell “like burning brakes” and the sensation of being dragged.

Taylor said he then lost consciousness and awoke to find the objects were gone. Head pounding and with a bitter taste in his mouth, Taylor was unable to walk or talk.
Eventually he managed to crawl to his van parked nearby but couldn’t start it and had to walk the mile to his Livingston home.

Taylor’s wife, shocked by his disorientated and dishevelled appearance, called the police and a doctor. There were grazes on Taylor’s legs and chin, but no other signs of injury; although the heavy work trousers he had been wearing were ripped.

The police returned to the site with Taylor where they found “ladder-shaped marks” in the soil where the craft was said to have hovered, and further marks following the path of the mine-like objects.
The case remains unique in British history as the only example of a UFO sighting becoming the subject of a criminal investigation. Taylor, who died in 2007, never sought publicity or financial gain – and always stood by every word of his account.

There would later be suggestions that he had suffered an epileptic seizure, mini-stroke or hallucinated after ingesting deadly nightshade berries. Yet, Ron Halliday, co-organiser of the Scottish UFO and Paranormal Conference 2018, gives short shrift to such theories.

“There was no evidence that Bob had any illness before he had this encounter,” says Halliday. “He was always personally convinced that he had seen something ‘out of this world’. Everyone agreed that Bob was a sincere person. He hadn’t made anything up. Something had happened to him.

“He definitely did see something ‘out of this world’ because I don’t know what else can explain what he saw. There was physical evidence that something had been there and clearly something had happened to him.

“I would say that of all the Scottish cases it is the one that seems to me that gives the most direct evidence of contact from another world.”

UFO capital: Bonnybridge and the ‘Falkirk Triangle’

The phenomenon of the “Falkirk Triangle” – which includes Bonnybridge and Camelon – was first reported in 1992 and the area continues to register more UFO sightings, around 300 a year, than any other place on Earth.

In 1952, the Flatwoods Monster Terrified 6 Kids, a Mom, and a Dog

by Roy Wenzl                  July 20, 2018                  (history.com)

• At dusk on Sept. 12, 1952, brothers Ed, 13, and Freddie May, 12, had been playing in their schoolyard with their 10-year-old friend Tommy Hyer when they saw a pulsing red light streak across the sky and crash on a nearby farm. The three boys and the Mays boys’ mother, went to check out where the light had landed. A few other boys and a dog showed up too. According to the local newspaper, “Seven Braxton County residents on Saturday reported seeing a 10-foot Frankenstein-like monster (see illustration above) in the hills above Flatwoods,” a central West Virginian mountain town of less than 300 people.

• “A National Guard member, [17-year-old] Gene Lemon, was leading the group when he saw what appeared to be a pair of bright eyes in a tree,” stated a local newspaper account. Lemon screamed and fell backward “when he saw a 10-foot monster with a blood-red body and a green face that seemed to glow.” The story got picked up by national radio and big papers all over the country. Mrs. May and Gene Lemon ended up going to New York to talk to CBS television news.

• Local newspaper publisher A. Lee Stewart said, “Those people were the most scared people I’ve ever seen.” State police laughed off the reports as hysteria,” It was the era of Cold War anxieties. LIFE magazine had recently published a story about flying saucers. The Korean War was raging and Sen. Joseph McCarthy of Minnesota had been stoking fear of communism in every corner of the nation.

• People across the nation were “seduced by the story,” said behavioral psychologist Clay Routledge who has studied brain science, UFO beliefs and culture. “There’s the hope that we are not just insignificant organisms walking around aimlessly on a rock floating in space,” says Routledge, “There’s the hope that we’re part of something bigger.”

• The U.S. Air Force sent investigators. They concluded that a meteor had streaked across the eastern sky. And that the ‘monster’ was likely an owl. But that didn’t stop the townspeople from promoting the incident with merchandise, a museum, and a highway sign that reads, “Home of the Green Monster.”

• Freddie and Ed May are in their late 70s now, and still stand by their story. “As far as for myself,” Freddie says, “It doesn’t matter to me whether people believe, or don’t believe.”

The Flatwoods Monster has not hissed at boys in the little village of Flatwoods, West Virginia, since Sept. 12, 1952.

People grin about it now—and take Monster souvenir money, from hundreds of Monster tourists every week. But it scared people plenty back then, including the eyewitnesses: six boys aged 10 to 17, a dog and a Mom.

“One of the boys peed his pants,” said John Gibson, a high-school freshman at the time, who knew them all. “Their dog (Rickie) ran with his tail between his legs.”

The encounter made the local and national news, scaring a wider swath of people.

Then it prompted a U.S. Air Force UFO inquiry, part of a project called Project Blue Book that dispatched a handful of investigators around the country to look into such claims.

It also became a local legend, a Southern spook story that defined the tiny village of less than 300 people for more than six decades. To this day, tourists come out of their way to Flatwoods—secluded in the low, timbered Appalachian hills of central West Virginia—to visit its monster museum and buy Green Monster tchotchkes and T-shirts.

What they witnessed

It was dusk when they saw it. The May brothers Ed, 13, and Freddie, 12, had been playing in their schoolyard with their 10-year-old friend Tommy Hyer. After noticing a pulsing red light streak across the sky and crash on a nearby farm, the three youngsters ran to grab the Mays boys’ mother, then high-tailed it up that hill to check out where the light had landed. A few other boys, one with a dog, showed up too.

They ran back down—in sheer and credible terror.

“Seven Braxton County residents on Saturday reported seeing a 10-foot Frankenstein-like monster in the hills above Flatwoods,” a local newspaper reported afterward. “A National Guard member, [17-year-old] Gene Lemon, was leading the group when he saw what appeared to be a pair of bright eyes in a tree.”

Lemon screamed and fell backward, the news account said, “when he saw a 10-foot monster with a blood-red body and a green face that seemed to glow.” It may have had claws for hands. It was hard to tell because of the dense mist.

The story made the local news, then got picked up by national radio and big papers all over the country, said Andrew Smith, who runs the Flatwoods Monster Museum and the Braxton County Convention Visitors Bureau. “Mrs. May and the National Guard kid ended up going to New York to talk to CBS,” Gibson said.

Spectators Left Baffled After Three UFOs Appeared in China

by Nirmal Narayanan                  July 20, 2018                 (ibtimes.sg)

• On July 18, 2018, Chinese commuters spotted a weird UFO in the sky. The UFO was circular in shape, and it had illuminating lights in the body.

• The ‘mavi777’ YouTube channel (see below) also uploaded clips of other two UFO sightings which they claim to have happened in other regions of China.

• YouTube commenter, Christos Kaloudis, thinks that humans are being observed by aliens from deep space. “We are definitely being observed… but when will they reveal themselves is the question?” asks Kaloudis.

Commuters in a Chinese town spotted a weird UFO in the sky on July 18, 2018. A video showing the bizarre incident was later uploaded to YouTube by conspiracy theory channel ‘mavi777’, and it is now the hottest debating point among UFO buffs and alien enthusiasts.

The video looked very authentic in nature, as the onlookers were seen pointing fingers to the skies when the UFO appears. The UFO was circular in shape, and it had illuminating lights in the body. The conspiracy theory channel also uploaded clips of other two UFO sightings which they claim to have happened in other regions of China. As the video went viral, conspiracy theorists strongly argued that alien life is a reality. These theorists made it clear that aliens used to visit earth to monitor human activities, and now they are slowly gearing up for a disclosure.

After watching the video, viewers of ‘mavi777’ put forward various theories explaining the spooky sky sighting. Christos Kaloudis, a YouTube user argued that humans are being observed by aliens from deep space.

“We are definitely being observed… but when will they reveal themselves is the question? To me, it looks like one object spinning and thus we see this rotation in the light formation. Unbelievable footage brother, undeniable proof ” commented Kaloudis.

Police Helicopter Circles UFO Above Los Angeles

by Callum Hoare                      July 22, 2018                     (dailystar.co.uk)

• A Los Angeles, California resident by the name of ‘Tom’ video recorded an LAPD helicopter circling a UFO for about 12 minutes. “It sounds ridiculous, but it looked like a craft with two windows on it,” said Tom.

• The video was shared on YouTube channel ‘thirdphaseofmoon’, where it has racked up more than 14,000 hits (see below).

The clip, recorded in Los Angeles, California, USA, was captured by a local resident after he heard a loud noise outside his house.

Tom, who filmed it, revealed he then pulled out his phone after spotting something unusual being tracked by the LAPD.

He said: “They were circling non-stop for like 12 minutes.

“It caught my eye, I thought they were looking for someone, but when I walked outside something stood out that they were circling.

“I can’t really tell what it was, it sounds ridiculous but it looked like a craft with two windows on it.”

The video was shared on YouTube channel thirdphaseofmoon, where it has racked up more than 14,000 hits.

And viewers were left shocked.

One comment read: “Wow surprised the military didn’t show up or the government but there is many things we the citizens are not being told about.”

Another claimed: “That UFO is probably staying still because it’s afraid of the helicopter.” And a third claimed: “Wow, that looks real.”

Giant Planet-Sized UFO Detected by NASA’s Stereo Spacecraft

by Nirmal Narayanan                 July 14, 2018                 (ibtimes.co.in)

• A video clip originally from YouTube channel ‘A51:S’ (that went viral on the ‘UFOmania’ YouTube channel) shows a spherical UFO the size of a planet moving across deep space with an imprinted marking on its surface. The video description explains, “While researching the site of the (NASA ‘STEREO’ observation mission), I found this fantastic UFO that as you can see has such a planetarium and seems to have a force field around it.”  (see video clip below)

• Conspiracy theorists claim that the bizarre object in the video might be an alien mega-ship from deep space, or an alien space station, or the killer planet Nibiru, and that President Trump has responded to this threat by implementing a ‘Space Force’ branch of the US military.

A video clip originally made by YouTube channel ‘A51:S’ is now the hottest debating point among conspiracy theorists and alien enthusiasts. The strange clip shows a spherical UFO moving across deep space, and interestingly, the flying object has imprinted drawings on its body. The YouTube channel claims that they have spotted this bizarre object while researching the website of NASA’s stereo mission.

Even though the video was uploaded a month back, it gained popularity after it was shared online by conspiracy theory channel ‘UFOmania’.

“While researching the site of STEREO mission, I found this fantastic UFO that as you can see has such a planetarium and seems to have a force field around it,” wrote UFOmania on the video’s description.

The uploader of the video reveals that the UFO spotted in the Stereo mission live feed is so gigantic, that it is of the size of a planet. As the video went viral, conspiracy theorists have started claiming that the bizarre object in the video might be an alien mega-ship from deep space.

The video which was uploaded a day ago has already racked up more than 4,100 views, and viewers were quick to speculate what the eerie object could be.

UFOs Are Real and Often Narrowly Miss Crashing Into Planes

by Nick Pope                July 13, 2018                  (thesun.co.uk)

• Aliens, UFOs and death rays sound like the stuff of science fiction. But from his 21 years with the UK’s Ministry of Defence, Nick Pope (pictured above) knows that UFO’s are real and that our government leaders take them very seriously. The recent disclosure of MoD documents show that the UK government has spent 50 years investigating alien technology.

• Pope says that while the majority of UFO sightings could be explained, but around five per cent remain mysterious. And there are several cases of near-misses between UFOs and commercial aircraft. Pope also got to look into other X-File types of cases such as crop circles, alien abductions, ghost sightings, and psychic phenomenon.

• The declassified MoD documents revealed that the Russians had put a lot of effort into researching and investigating not just UFOs, but parapsychology – telekinesis (moving objects with the mind), psychic phenomena and similar things.

• The British military viewed this in terms of threats and the possibility that “novel military applications” might result from a better understanding of UFOs. It was suggested that UFOs might not objects, but rather the result of changes in energy in the atmosphere. This raised the intriguing possibility of channeling this energy to develop a death ray weapon.

• All the while, the Americans were conducting their own research through a Pentagon program called the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program. Some declassified videos surfaced of US Navy jets chasing UFOs.

• If anyone was laughing about UFOs before, they’re not laughing now. Those who have looked at this subject from within the government knew better. RAF pilots had seen UFOs and occasionally chased them. The MoD had gun camera footage similar to the declassified US Navy videos. Radar operators tracked UFOs from time to time, and the speeds and maneuvers were astounding.

• The MoD told Parliament, the media, and the British public that UFOs were of “no defense significance”. However, this was a meaningless soundbite designed simply to get people off our backs, said Pope.

ALIENS, UFOs and death rays sound more like the stuff of science fiction than the subjects of top-secret government briefings… but I know from my 21 years at the Ministry of Defence that our leaders take these threats more seriously than they let on.

I also learned from my time there that UFOs are real. And I should know, because my job throughout the nineties was to investigate them.

World UFO Day fell last week, and it was very clear that the usual scepticism and ridicule had been replaced with a far more serious tone.

This may be helped by the fact that details recently emerged of MoD documents showing the UK government’s interest and involvement in UFOs – and suggesting that we had spent 50 years investigating the possibilities of developing alien technology.

I worked on these files and came out of retirement to help with the MoD’s release project – the decade-long declassification of top-secret papers – which concluded in January.

And while the Official Secrets Act binds me for life, now that the government itself is releasing more details of my old MoD job, I can give people an insider’s perspective on what we really got up to.

From UFOs almost crashing into planes to alien abductions

The bottom line was that we knew UFOs were real, but we didn’t know what they were.

The majority of UFO sightings could be explained, but around five per cent remain mysterious.

The cases that concerned me most were the near-misses between UFOs and commercial aircrafts – there are several such cases in the MoD’s UFO files.

What was much more fun was the other weird stuff that came our way simply because there was nowhere else in government to send it: crop circles, claims that people had been abducted by aliens, ghost sightings and people who claimed to be psychic and volunteered their services to British intelligence.

But is it really true, as the latest declassified files suggest, that we were racing against the Russians and the Chinese to acquire alien technology and develop some sort of super-weapon?

Not quite, but the reality is almost just as bizarre.

UFOs: The Greatest Story Never Told

by Cheryl Costa               July 13, 2018                (syracusenewtimes.com)

• A 2012 National geographic poll revealed that 80 percent of Americans don’t believe the government when they say that there is no such thing as UFOs or extraterrestrials. The infamous New York Times article of last December revealed that the government/military had a formal program to monitor UFO activity. That article in December was to open the door to public disclosure of the truth about UFOs and extraterrestrials visiting our planet. But that didn’t happen.

• The main problem is that the news media is still reluctant to discuss the topic seriously. They aren’t sure what position to take. Most barely grasp the context and implications of the issue. So instead they either take the safe ground and admit that there must be some “bacterial life out there somewhere”, or revert to joking and ridicule and talk about “little green men”.

• On May 30th, The Washington Post published a story with the headline: “UFOs are suddenly a serious news story. You can thank the guy from Blink-182 for that.” This emboldened this article’s writer to lobby media outlets in New York state to report on reported sightings in the state. New York state had moved from the sixth position to fourth in the United States for UFO sighting reports.

• Buffalo and Erie County both ranked No. 3 within New York state, and in the Top 100 counties for UFO sightings of more than 3,000 counties in the United States. Monroe County also ranked nationally in the Top 100 counties. This writer pitched the story to Buffalo’s ABC affiliate WKBW, as well as the NBC affiliate WGRZ and their Fox outlet WUTV and was met with silence. She pitched the idea to the news director at ABC affiliate WHAM. He snickered and said he’d present it to his editorial team. Silence. She reached out to WUHF and presented a similar pitch. Silence. She reached out to Albany’s Fox affiliate newsroom. Silence. She pitched to Binghamton’s CBS affiliate WBNG. Silence. She spoke to a newsroom person at Fox affiliate WICZ and she was asked to email them the facts of the pitch. Silence

• At one television station, she called the marketing and sales department and explained the significant demographics related to audience interest, especially with Sweeps Week coming up. She suggested that a locally flavored UFO story would be excellent for the ratings. The nice marketing lady was interested and had their news team call me. When I gave them the same pitch, I was greeted with silence.

• So, if you are not hearing about UFOs from your local television or radio news team, it’s because they’ve bought into the notion that UFOs are the topic matter of kooks and crackpots, and they do not want to be labeled as “that UFO news director or news reporter.”  Still, 220 million Americans would prefer to hear the truth about UFOs and the ET presence.

People ask me all the time why the government won’t come clean about UFOs and perhaps the ET presence. After all, based on a 2012 National Geographic poll, 80 percent of Americans think the government is not being square with the American people.

After the Dec. 16, 2017, New York Times and Politico revelation that the Pentagon had a formal program for monitoring UFOs with regard to military bases and fleet operations, the story took the news media by storm. There was a major news cycle about the Pentagon effort, the congressional folks who got them the money and the videos that were released.

A lot of UFO disclosure activists hailed Dec. 16 as the starting point for a new era of openness and expected an information avalanche about all things UFO. It just didn’t happen.

I’m still waiting for the offices of New York’s U.S. senators, Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, to answer my correspondence. It has been more than a year.

But the real problem with UFO and ET disclosure in America is with the Fourth Estate, a.k.a. the Media.
The talking heads on some of America’s most popular daytime programs and news talk networks were unprepared for that Dec. 16 story. They seemed to be at a loss to discuss the topic intelligently, as they stumbled for words to express their thoughts. Most of them were barely grasping the context and implications.

Most defaulted to “Little Green Talk.” When asked their opinion whether there was alien life, more than a dozen news hosts either said “no” or simply took the safe ground with comments like, “Oh, I suspect there is bacterial life out there somewhere.” Nobody on any of these programs wanted to be the newsperson who believes in little green men.

But there is another very painful and telling reality: News producers and their on-camera broadcasters really didn’t want to talk about the UFO subject beyond the immediate story about the Pentagon’s Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program (AATIP).

Is Dan Aykroyd Attracting UFOs to Martha’s Vineyard?

by Holly Nadler                July 11, 2018                  (mvtimes.com)

• There seems to be a lot of UFO activity over Martha’s Vineyard, the island off of Massachusetts that has become the playground of the rich and famous. One resident is Dan Aykroyd who said in the 2005 UFO documentary, Dan Aykroyd Unplugged on UFOs, “There should be no debate anymore that UFOs exist. …“This is real. People are being abducted. Mind control is in play here, and we have to be vigilant.” Ackroyd maintains that 54 percent of Americans believe in UFOs, and that he’s seen UFOs zooming over his house on Martha’s Vineyard.

• In September 1953, a story in the Vineyard Gazette told of a woman who stood on her Martha’s Vineyard yard and watched orange lights in the sky.

• In April 1958, the Vineyard Gazette reported, “Signs in the sky continue to disturb Vineyard residents.”

• In 1967, Vineyard restaurant diners witnessed three lights “pulsating” low over the harbor.

• On Sept. 19, 2009, Vineyard residents reported multicolored spots on the southern horizon. Local fisherman reported a bright, tiny beam that morphed into a football shape, burned, exploded like a firecracker, then vanished.

•  Finally, in the summer of 1963, the Vineyard Gazette reported that John F. Kennedy was on his boat off of Martha’s Vineyard with a dozen friends when they all saw a 60-foot diameter disk-shaped object materialize within 100 feet of the boat. While JFK and friends gaped, the object shot up at tremendous speed and vanished. JFK instructed his guests, “We don’t talk about this.”

[Editor’s Note]  See previous ExoNews article on Dan Aykroyd discussing his UFO sightings, Men In Black, and why extraterrestrials are here.

Picture two aliens in a spacecraft. For seven gravity-free nanoseconds, they’ve glimpsed nothing but black ocean, then lights! Civilization! Their GPS tells them, “You’re closing in on Martha’s Vineyard. You are advised to hold here, because the social activity in the high season is more frenzied than anything we’ve studied anywhere else on the planet, with any of the species.”

So that’s a hypothetical about why our Island has been prey to a lotta lotta UFO sightings.

Chilmark resident, ghostbuster, and movie star Dan Aykroyd has made it a point to examine alien activity here or anywhere in earthly precincts. In the documentary, “Dan Aykroyd Unplugged on UFOs,” (bit.ly/mvUFO), released in 2005, he states, “There should be no debate anymore that UFOs exist.”

But back up a sec: Let’s look at E.T. tableaux over our own hemisphere. Normally it’s a sign of abject lunacy to admit you’ve glimpsed flickering lights over Katama. Heaven forbid you reveal you’ve been abducted by aliens for one of those unmentionable probes. Yet it happens!

Aykroyd says in the documentary, “This is real. People are being abducted. Mind control is in play here, and we have to be vigilant.”

Aykroyd maintains that 54 percent of Americans believe in UFOs. If you take a straw poll of all your Island friends and neighbors, chances are a few of them will have seen — well, something “rich and strange,” to pull Shakespeare in on the discussion.

Author Says Now is the Time for Serious Research of UFOs

by Craig Hislop                July 11, 2018                  (cachevalleydaily.com)

• With the newly issued National Space Traffic Management Policy, which defends American assets in space and President Trump’s new Space Force Military Branch initiative, now is the time for more serious, long-term scientific research around the topic of UFOs says James T. Abbott, author of “The Outsider’s Guide to UFOs”.

• “The most important thing, I think, is that we’re becoming much more open and outward looking in terms of space,” says Abbott. “We’re talking seriously about going to Mars… So I think that outward facing aspect has prompted a more serious look, too, at some of the phenomena that are called UFOs.”

• “The need to find out what these things are is now becoming very pressing, and not really for defense purposes. The governments of virtually every developed nation in the world have decided whatever the phenomenon is, it is not a threat to humanity or any individual nation,” Abbott says.

In June, the White House issued the National Space Traffic Management Policy, which defends American assets in space.

James T. Abbott, author of The Outsider’s Guide to UFOs, said that new policy, combined with President Trump’s new Space Force Military Branch, means now is the time for more serious, long-term scientific research around the topic of UFOs, in support of a future Space Force.

James T. Abbott

“I think those assets are being defended on behalf of the free world, as you would call it,” says Abbott. “But the most important thing, I think, is that we’re becoming much more open and outward looking in terms of space.

“We’re talking seriously about going to Mars. We’re building some very competent pieces of kit at the moment. So I think that outward facing aspect has prompted a more serious look, too, at some of the phenomena that are called UFOs.”

Mainstream Media UFO Stories Intrigues Public

by Neel Roberts               July 10, 2018               (vulcanadvocate.com)

• A documentary titled “Out of the Blue” reveals a March 19, 1999 NASA letter that presents the U.S. government’s position on UFOs. The government doesn’t deny the existence of UFOs but explicitly states that there is ‘no evidence alien life exists on other planets or that UFOs are related to aliens’. But the recent coverage of UFOs by the New York Times, CNN and Fox News are indeed the real deal. So, where are these UFOs coming from?

• UFO files are the highest classified files in the U.S. government – even higher than nuclear weapons, human cloning, etc. It is at least 21 classification levels above the President of the United States’ standard clearance. No wonder 50-year FBI director J. Edgar Hoover was denied access in July 1947.

• Former Canadian Defense minister Paul Hellyer has been a long-time advocate to make all UFO files public. Recently declassified documents reveal the Canadian government has long been documenting sightings.

• Catherine Austin Fitts, former assistant secretary at U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, has run several articles indicating that the over $21 trillion missing from the military budget has been finally pinned down to black project technology. President Donald Trump has indicated his intention to disclose decades of hidden advanced technology which rightfully belongs to the people.

The term ‘fake news’ has been a meme for the last couple of years but the recent coverage of UFOs by the New York Times, CNN and Fox News are indeed the real deal.

Despite secrecy and reluctance to discuss the subject by government officials, there’s a lot of good, readily available public information to get any enthusiast educated.

While the definition of UFO is Unidentified Flying Object, it is not necessarily associated with aliens or extra-terrestrial objects.

A documentary called “Out of the Blue” gives a great overview of this phenomenon with government involvement.

A March 19th, 1999 NASA letter in the documentary, it doesn’t deny existence of UFOs but explicitly concludes ‘no evidence of alien life exists on other planets or that UFOs are related to aliens’.
Well, where are they coming from then?

Recent declassified documents reveal the Canadian government has long been documenting sightings as they skyrocketed between 1966-1967.

The UFO files are the highest classified files in the U.S.A government; even higher than nuclear weapons, human cloning, etc.

Believed to be ranked at ‘magistrate level’, it is at least 21 levels above the president of the U.SA. standard clearance.

Marcel Family Shares Never-Before-Seen Artifacts; Treasure Trove for UFO Researchers

by Christina Stock              July 5, 2018               (rdrnews.com)

• A treasure trove of never-before-seen historic documents, military records, photos and a personal journal by intelligence officer Maj. Jesse Marcel (pictured above with supposed ‘debris’ in 1947, and who died in 1986) were recently uncovered by members of the Marcel family, long considered to be the first family of the Roswell, New Mexico UFO Incident.

• On the morning of July 7, 1947 World War II combat pilot and Army intelligence officer Maj. Jesse Marcel was called to the desert just outside Roswell to investigate a mysterious object that had crashed from the sky. Marcel personally handled and transported the wreckage debris, which he characterized as “not of this world.”

• The next day, the U.S. military issued a press release stating they had recovered wreckage of a flying saucer at Roswell, which was published in the Roswell Daily Record. Two days later, the military reversed the release claiming the wreckage was actually a weather balloon. Marcel was ordered to pose for photos with the balloon debris. This resulted in the widespread belief of a government cover-up.

• Relatives and friends of Jesse Marcel have also been asked to contribute any documents, photos and correspondence they’ve had with Maj. Marcel. With this new trove of Jesse Marcel’s personal papers, Jesse Marcel III, his brother John Marcel and family are determined to find out if their grandfather left behind any clues to what actually happened in Roswell. “My grandfather was used as the fall guy and I owe it to him and my family’s legacy to get to the truth about what happened back in July 1947,” Jesse Marcel III said.

• “We’re hoping that these artifacts and personal writings during the time of the incident will blow open the years-long cover-up.” said John Marcel. One of the biggest finds is Marcel’s journal. “It’s his personal journal from back then, which is so intriguing and may potentially shed light on the truth of what really happened,” said Larry Landsman, a media producer who is documenting the process.

• Forensic document examiner John Osborn has also been tapped to examine the papers and artifacts for authenticity and to help shed light on what really crashed to earth in July 1947. Was it a weather balloon or an extraterrestrial craft?

• The International UFO Museum and Research Center in Roswell will ultimately curate the historical cache. “The family’s commitment to authenticating the materials speaks volumes as to their resolve to learn the truth. We look forward to the day these documents will be available for public viewing,” said Jim Hill, director of the museum.

• Since its’ opening in 1991, the International UFO Museum and Research Center has seen more than 3,900,000 visitors from around the world. The museum’s library is the second-largest collection of its kind in the world and is open to the public year-round.

On the morning of July 7, 1947 Maj. Jesse Marcel was called to the desert just outside Roswell to investigate a mysterious object that had crashed from the sky. Two days later, the military reversed the release claiming the wreckage was actually a weather balloon. Marcel was ordered to pose for photos with the balloon debris. This resulted in the widespread belief of a government cover-up. The Roswell Incident — as it has come to be known — went on to become the world’s most famous and enduring UFO mystery.

Did their grandfather leave behind clues to what actually happened in Roswell among his papers and journal? Jesse Marcel III, his brother John Marcel and family are determined to find out. “My grandfather was used as the fall guy and I owe it to him and my family’s legacy to get to the truth about what happened back in July 1947,” Jesse Marcel III said.

Jesse Marcel III had hinted at last year’s UFO Festival that the family was planning a huge project. He had said his grandfather had always been proud of his military career and about the Roswell Incident. “People don’t realize that it was a badge of honor for him (his grandfather),” he said. “He liked being associated with it. He felt that this was life-changing news — something that will change history forever.”

UFO Crashes 80 Miles From England World Cup Match Site

by Will Stewart             July 7, 2018              (mirror.co.uk)

• On July 5th, two glowing balls were seen lighting up the midnight sky in western Kazakhstan, and a UFO with pulsating lights crashed and exploded near the village of Bostandyk (pictured above), 80 miles from the Russian city of Samara where England played Sweden in a World Cup soccer match. The explosion caused local houses to “tremble” and ignited a fire on the parched bushes and grass of the area.

• Residents who rushed to the scene discovered a silver-colored object partially buried in the ground, with a sealed hatch and a protruding valve.  (see images below)  Locals evidently tried to open the hatch without success. A smaller but similar object was nearby. One witness said, “The UFO material does not look like metal. It is soft like fabric.” A law enforcement source said the weird 10-ft in diameter object that fell from the sky was like “a ball that had been welded shut”.

• Village residents saw the object spinning in the sky with bright lights pulsating before it crash landed. A local woman exclaimed, “This glowing sphere seemed to be spinning around and turning over our village. …Then it fell down somewhere behind the village and exploded.” Locals have crowded to the scene to inspect the alien object.

• One theory is that it was a satellite or spacecraft that crashed to Earth. There has been no official comment from the Kazakh authorities nor from space officials in neighbouring Russia.

A spooky UFO with pulsating lights crash landed and exploded just 80 miles from the Russian city hosting England’s World Cup quarter final clash with Sweden.

Locals inspecting crashed UFO

Two glowing balls were seen lighting up the midnight sky over the west of the ex-Soviet republic of Kazakhstan.

The eerie UFO crashed near the village of Bostandyk some 1,000ft from the Zhalpakatal-Karasu highway, say police.

The object “exploded” on landing – causing local houses to “tremble” and igniting a blaze on the parched steppe destroying bushes and grass covering 100 hectares.

Immediately, mobile communications in the remote area were cut, say frightened locals.

Residents rushed to the scene and amid the flames found a silver-coloured object partially buried in the ground.

It has a sealed hatch with a protruding valve. Locals evidently tried to open the hatch without success.

A smaller but similar object was nearby.

One witness said: “The UFO material does not look like metal. It is soft like fabric.”

A law enforcement source said the weird object that fell from the sky was like “a ball that had been welded shut”.

The edges of the UFO had melted possible oil entry into the Earth’s atmosphere.

Residents of Karasu village saw the object spinning in the sky with bright lights pulsating before it crash landed.

Two of Canada’s Famous Unsolved UFO Mysteries

July 2018            (cbc.ca)

• Here are two of Canada’s best known UFO encounters, both occurring in 1967.

• Shag Harbour, Nova Scotia – On October 4th, 1967, the night skies above the village of Shag Harbour, Nova Scotia, were lit up by a string of as many as four flashing lights that crashed into the waters of the Shag Harbour. People could see a large round, orange object, glowing in the water as it sunk. An attempt was made to rescue the crashed ‘aircraft’ but the local Coast Guard and divers could find no debris. No planes were reported missing and eventually the case was labeled as a UFO. Shag Harbour now has a UFO center and every summer holds a festival dedicated to the incident.

• Falcon Lake, Manitoba – On May 20, 1967, Stefan Michalak was walking along the shore of Falcon Lake, 150 kilometers east of Winnipeg when he saw two strange shapes hovering in the sky. One landed near to him. Thinking it was some sort of military aircraft he walked up to an open door on the craft. It suddenly took off and Stefan was singed by a blast of hot air. When he got home he saw that he had burns on his chest in a grid pattern, like the vents he’d seen on the ship. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police investigated the site and found bits of melted metal. In April of 2018, the Royal Canadian Mint released a special coin to mark the Falcon Lake Incident.  (see previous ExoNews article on the Falcon Lake incident and commemorative coin here)

A UFO, or an unidentified flying object, is something moving in the sky that can’t be explained. Many times these objects turn out to be satellites, weather balloons or planes, but some sightings remain mysteries. Some people even believe that UFOs are actually alien spacecraft. Even if no one knows for sure what UFOs are, it’s fun to imagine visitors from other planets. What’s more, Canada has had some UFO sightings of its own. Let’s find out about two of our best known UFO mysteries.

Shag Harbour, Nova Scotia

On October 4th, 1967, the night skies above the village of Shag Harbour, Nova Scotia, were lit up by a string of as many as four lights. The lights flashed on and off before seeming to crash into the waters of the harbour. People watching saw a large round object, glowing orange in the water before it sunk. Thinking that a plane had crashed, the RCMP organized a rescue attempt. But nothing was found by local boats or the Coast Guard. Divers were called in to search the seafloor, but they too found nothing. No planes were reported missing and eventually the case was labeled as a UFO.

The witnesses aren’t sure what it was, but they know they saw something. Shag Harbour now has a UFO centre and every summer holds a festival dedicated to the incident.

Falcon Lake, Manitoba

The year 1967 was a busy one for UFOs, because on May 20th there was another mysterious sighting — this time about 150 kilometres east of Winnipeg, on the shores of Falcon Lake. Stefan Michalak was an amateur geologist looking for valuable rocks when he saw two strange shapes hovering in the sky. He wasn’t scared, thinking that they were military aircraft and even made sketches of one when it landed nearby. Stefan decided to approach the craft and saw bright lights from an open door on the ship. It took off and Stefan was hit with a blast of hot air that burned his clothes. He managed to get back home and discovered that he had burns on his chest in a grid pattern, like the vents he’d seen on the ship.

Stefan Michalak with grid pattern burns

The RCMP investigated and found melted bits of metal, along with Stefan’s burned clothing at the site. No one could say what the strange ships were, and while Stefan never claimed to see aliens, it is considered one of the best-documented UFO encounters in Canada. In April of 2018, the Royal Canadian Mint released a special coin to mark the Falcon Lake Incident as one of Canada’s most famous mysteries!

Haunted Appalachia: Star Light, Star Bright — UFOs in the Mountain State

by Sherri Brake               June 27, 2018                  (grafwv.com)

• Here are four incidents of people in West Virginia seeing a UFO.

• In 1976, in Webster Springs, West Virginia a nurse at the local hospital was driving home with her son when they cross the Twin Bridges near Bergoo when they both saw a three-sided UFO craft flying close to their car. They stopped to look at the craft, and detected a terrible odor. Then they continued home puzzled but unharmed.

• On April 8, 1994, in Quiet Dell, Harrison County, WV some people driving in a car noticed a silent, circular object in the sky with dome-shaped windows in the center. It hovered above the trees then came back down close to the ground. The car radio screeched loudly, the dash lights dimmed, and the car almost stalled. But it returned to normal when the craft left.

• In 1965, a group of children in the Valley Head area of Randolph County, WV, were outside playing when an 11-year-old boy saw a disc-shaped craft, about 15 to 20 feet in diameter, hovering about 50 feet above the trees. It shot across the night sky, over Point Mountain and towards the town of Webster Springs.

• On Feb. 20, 1994 in Morgantown, WV a couple were walking along University Avenue when they saw aircraft with a very bright beam of light aiming towards the ground. They assumed it was a helicopter until they noticed that it was actually a silent, metallic, whitish-gray triangular craft. It hovered, turning its’ light beam on and off, and then sped off in the clouds towards Fairmont. Several other onlookers witnessed this event as well.

With the arrival of warmer weather, we find ourselves invariably spending more time outside. Here in the country, with no city lights to water down the starlight, the stars glisten and twinkle on clear nights. Occasional falling stars, a gliding satellite, and a glimpse of the Milky Way always make for interesting sky watching. And then there is always the unexpected event, the unidentifiable sighting.

UFOs or Unidentified Flying Objects have been spotted and documented throughout the ages and across the entire world. It is more common than you can imagine unless, of course, you are one of the hundreds who have already seen “one”.

Webster Springs, West Virginia in 1976 finds us with one such event. A nurse at the local hospital clocks out and is driving home with her son when they cross the Twin Bridges near Bergoo. As they are driving they spot something unusual. They both see a three-sided craft within close range of their car. They stop the car, incredulous to what they see when they are both overcome by a terrible odor. They finish their trip home unharmed, but puzzled by what occurred.

Quiet Dell, West Virginia on April 8, 1994: In this area of Harrison County, a Suds Run road traveler spots a circular object in the sky which has dome-shaped windows in the center. It makes no sound. It hovered above the trees then came back down close to the ground not making a sound. The people in the vehicle noticed their car radio screeching loudly and the car almost stalled and the dash lights dimmed. The next day, the car was fine but I bet the witnesses were still shaky!

1965 finds us in the Valley Head area of Randolph County. A group of children were outside in the evening playing hide-and-seek. An 11-year-old boy ran around the side of a hill by himself and saw something unexpected. It was hovering about 50 feet above the trees and was disc-shaped. The youngster estimated the object to be about 15 to 20 feet in diameter. It shot across the night sky, over Point Mountain and towards the town of Webster Springs. This young boy is now a full-grown man and remembers this event with great detail as if it happened yesterday.

Local Resident Spotted Weird UFO Hurtling Across the Skies of Brazil

by Nirmal Narayanan                     Jun 27, 2018                   (ibtimes.co.in)

• A Brazilian man captured video of a saucer-shaped UFO flying across the skies of Curtiba, Brazil, which was released on the ‘UFOmania’ YouTube channel. (see 1:39 minute video of UFO below)

• YouTuber, Paul Velez, claimed that the UFO is very similar to that of the one he saw in his life. “Finally I see video with the same ship that I also saw. I saw it super close because a man walked up to my truck in a parking lot to ask me what it was. It started moving away. It was awesome to tell you the truth. It’s the exact same one too. Cool,” commented Velez.

• Another YouTuber commented that the eerie object in the sky might be a projected hologram under ‘Project Blue Beam’ to stage a false alien invasion.

A local resident in Brazil has apparently caught the visuals of a saucer-shaped UFO flying across the skies, and it has left alien enthusiasts and extraterrestrial researchers puzzled. The video shows a bizarre object very similar to that of the extraterrestrial crafts which we have seen in Hollywood sci-fi flicks.

The video of the eerie incident gained popularity after conspiracy theory channel ‘UFOmania’ shared it on YouTube. As the video went viral, conspiracy theorists strongly alleged that aliens used to visit earth frequently to monitor the activities of human beings.

The astonishing admission of Paul Velez

In the meantime, viewers of the YouTube channel also put forward various theories explaining the bizarre sky event.

After seeing the video, a YouTube user named Paul Velez shockingly claimed that the flying object in the video is very similar to that of the one he saw in his life. However, Velez did not talk about the place in which he had the UFO encounter.

“Finally I see video with the same ship that I also saw. I saw it super close because a man walked up to my truck in a parking lot to ask me what it was. It started moving away. It was awesome to tell you the truth. It’s the exact same one too. Cool,” commented Paul Velez.

I-Team: New Film Claims UFOs Monitored Nuclear Weapons

by George Knapp and Matt Adams           (lasvegasnow.com)

• In 1955, 14 A-bombs were detonated at the Nevada Test Site as part of Operation Teapot. This was witnessed by thousands of military personnel and test site employees… and UFOs. “[Flying saucers] were pretty prevalent at the test site back then,” said a former test site photographer. At least a dozen former test site employees have told similar stories about UFOs showing up hours or days after an atomic blast. A group of more than 150 military veterans, missile officers, and security personnel, including many who worked at the Nevada Test Site, say they’ve seen mystery intruders over nuclear facilities.

• Author and UFO investigator Robert Hastings has interviewed more than 150 military veterans, missile officers, and others who worked in various parts of the atomic weapons program. They’ve all told the same story. “In fact, UFOs have routinely monitored our nuclear weapons dating back decades and that, on occasion, apparently have interfered with the functionality of those weapons,” Hastings said. In addition, thousands of pages of government documents have been declassified and released to buttress these stories.

• See the pair of video clips from the film “UFOs and Nukes: The Secret Link Revealed” that includes incidents where UFOs have not only infiltrated restricted airspace over nuclear missile bases, but have disabled ICBMs (intercontinental ballistic missiles) and put the military on high alert. In one incident from the film, military photographers using telescopic lenses watch as a UFO disables a warhead used in a missile test fired from Vandenberg. “Flying over the Pacific suddenly this domed disc came into frame, circled the warhead, which is flying at 8 or 10,000 miles-per-hour, shot four beams of light at it, whereupon the dummy warhead fell into the Pacific Ocean and the UFO left the vicinity,” Hastings said.

• UFO incidents at the Nevada Test Site became so routine that teams were assigned the job of specifically looking for them at Indians Springs Air Force Base. “They were all luminous, they were disc-shaped, some of them were square-shaped. We were to pick up a telephone in this little shack. There was no dial tone. A voice would just come on. We would read off all these coordinates, the direction of the object, etcetera, then when we wrote this stuff down on a piece of paper, we were to burn the paper in a trash can in the shack,” Hastings said.

• The government ended atomic weapons testing years ago, but Nevada incidents continue. Former security officers at Area 2 at Nellis Air Force Base, for years a storage facility for up to 200 nuclear warheads, have reported multiple intrusions by UFOs from the late 1990s through 2004. Similar incidents have been reported in the UK, India, Pakistan, Russia and other nuclear powers.

[Editor’s Note]  See January 29, 2018 ExoNews article on Hastings and various incidents of UFO’s monitoring blast sites.

LAS VEGAS – Officially, the U.S. government ended its study of UFOs in 1969 because — it assured the public — there is no proof the phenomena represents a threat to national security.

But what if these unknown aircraft showed an interest in our nuclear weapons?

A group of more than 150 military veterans, missile officers, and security personnel, including many who worked at the Nevada Test Site, say they’ve seen mystery intruders over nuclear facilities.

Robert Hastings

In the darkest days of the Cold War, atomic weapons were routinely exploded above ground at the Nevada Test Site, the most nuked placed on earth.

In 1955, 14 A-bombs were detonated as part of Operation Teapot, witnessed by thousands of military personnel in trenches, and by thousands of test site employees. But there were other observers as well.

“It was what we called flying saucers. They were pretty prevalent at the test site back then,” said a former test site photographer.

At least a dozen former test site employees have told similar stories about unknown aircraft showing up hours or days after an atomic blast.

Author and investigator Robert Hastings has spent more than 40 years locating and interviewing military veterans, missile officers, and others who worked in various parts of the atomic weapons program, more than 150 of them so far. They’ve all told the same story.

“That, in fact, UFOs have routinely monitored our nuclear weapons dating back decades and that, on occasion, apparently have interfered with the functionality of those weapons,” Hastings said.

In addition to the eyewitness accounts, thousands of pages of formerly-classified documents have been released to buttress these stories.
