• Astronomers at the CHIME (Canadian Hydrogen Intensity Mapping Experiment) observatory in Canada scan the entire northern sky on a daily basis. The observatory, located in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, consists of four 100-metre-long, semi-cylindrical antennas. (see image below) The telescope got up and running only last year, detecting 13 ‘fast radio bursts’ (FRBs) almost immediately. One of these was a ”repeater” signal from a distant galaxy 1.5 billion light years away.
• A “repeater” FRB signal has only been reported once before, by another telescope. (see article on the “Wow Signal” here) “We have discovered a second repeater and its properties are very similar to the first repeater,” said Shriharsh Tendulkar of McGill University, Canada.
• Fast radio bursts are short, bright flashes of radio waves which appear to be coming from almost halfway across the Universe. So far, scientists around the world have detected about 60 single fast radio bursts, and two that repeat. They believe there could be as many as a thousand FRBs in the sky every day. Theories about what could be causing them include a neutron star with a very strong magnetic field that is spinning very rapidly, two neutron stars merging together, or even some form of alien spaceship.
• “Knowing that there is another (repeater) suggests that there could be more out there,” said Ingrid Stairs, an astrophysicist from the University of British Columbia (UBC). “And with more repeaters and more sources available for study, we may be able to understand these cosmic puzzles – where they’re from and what causes them.”

Astronomers have revealed details of mysterious signals emanating from a distant galaxy, picked up by a telescope in Canada.
The precise nature and origin of the blasts of radio waves is unknown.
Among the 13 fast radio bursts, known as FRBs, was a very unusual repeating signal, coming from the same source about 1.5 billion light years away.
Such an event has only been reported once before, by a different telescope.

• Under Narendra Modi’s Hindu nationalist BJP party in India, pseudoscience has moved from the fringe to the mainstream. Academics are embellishing science with instances of Hindu mythology and religious-based theories. And the hard-line Indian scientists don’t like it.
• Mainstream Indian scientists have criticized speakers at conferences, such as the recent 106th Indian Science Congress, for making irrational claims including: Hindus invented stem cell research thousands of years ago; the ancient Hindu epic, Ramayana, revealed that India had 24 types of aircraft and a network of landing strips in modern day Sri Lanka; Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein were both wrong and that gravitational waves should be renamed “Narendra Modi Waves”; cosmetic surgery was practiced in India thousands of years ago (as evidenced by the Hindu god Ganesha – whose elephant head is attached to a human body); the Hindu god, Brahma, discovered dinosaurs and documented them in ancient Indian scriptures; and that nuclear tests were conducted in the sub-continent more than 100,000 years ago.
• Lawmaker Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank prompted outrage in 2014 when he said that “science is a dwarf in front of astrology”.
• The Indian Scientific Congress Association expressed “serious concern” at these types of remarks. Critics say that while ancient texts should be read and enjoyed – it was nonsense to suggest they represented science. Indian economist Kaushik Basu said, “For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature.”
• [Editor’s Note] There is evidence to suggest that much of the advanced technologies described in ancient texts, particularly Hindu texts which contain abundant references to ancient technology, are more real than myth. But this threatens mainstream science which doesn’t want us to imagine any type of technology beyond the status quo, because this is reserved for the elite and powerful who regularly employ advanced technologies in their secret space programs and secretive breakaway civilizations. The elite would prefer that we wallow on the surface of this planet using our regulated electrical power sources and petroleum-based combustion engines while they benefit from anti-gravity, electro-magnetic propulsion, warp drive, temporal drive, dark energy, zero-point energy, wormholes, portals, stargates and other ‘exotic’ technologies in their off-planet endeavors. Some academics at the annual Indian Science Congress dismissed the findings of Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein.
Hindu mythology and religion-based theories have increasingly become part of the Indian Science Congress agenda.
But experts said remarks at this year’s summit were especially ludicrous.
The 106th Indian Science Congress, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, runs from 3-7 January.
The head of a southern Indian university cited an old Hindu text as proof that stem cell research was discovered in India thousands of years ago.
G Nageshwar Rao, vice chancellor of Andhra University, also said a demon king from the Hindu religious epic, Ramayana, had 24 types of aircraft and a network of landing strips in modern day Sri Lanka.
Another scientist from a university in the southern state of Tamil Nadu told conference attendees that Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein were both wrong and that gravitational waves should be renamed “Narendra Modi Waves”.
Dr KJ Krishnan reportedly said Newton failed to “understand gravitational repulsive forces” and Einstein’s theories were “misleading”.
Critics said that while ancient texts should be read and enjoyed – it was nonsense to suggest they represented science.
The Indian Scientific Congress Association expressed “serious concern” at the remarks.
“We don’t subscribe to their views and distance ourselves from their comments. This is unfortunate,” Premendu P Mathur, general secretary of Indian Scientific Congress Association, told the AFP news agency.
“There is a serious concern about such kind of utterances by responsible people.”

Ben Davidson, founder of Space Weather News, began his six part Earth Catastrophe Cycle video series by discussing a 57 page booklet called “The Adam and Eve Story” authored by “Chan Thomas”, which was classified by the CIA at some point after its 1963 publication, and declassified in part on June 24, 2013 with the release of a sanitized digital version on the CIA’s website. Thomas’ analysis of cyclic pole shifts was different in key respects to what was being proposed at the time by Charles Hapgood in his seminal book, The Earth’s Shifting Crust (1958).
According to Davidson, it was Thomas more accurate explanation for how a pole shift happens, which led to the CIA classifying Thomas’ book. The Adam and Eve Story was first published in 1963 by Emerson House, with a third edition published in 1965, and then republished by Bengal Tiger Press in 1993. It is not clear when, why and how the CIA classified Thomas book, but the fact that the CIA chose to release a declassified sanitized version in 2013 is very significant.
In part 1 of his video series, Davidson contrasts Hapgood’s wandering pole hypothesis with the pole shift described in the CIA suppressed book by Thomas. Hapgood wrote of a pole shift of up to 40 degrees that could recur every 5000 years or so in The Earth’s Shifting Crust where earlier geographical poles would wander on the Earth’s surface with each crustal displacement.
Instead, Thomas wrote of a massive shift of almost 90 degrees that would move both poles into the tropics in less than a day, and then back to their earlier polar positions after the next cycle:
In ¼ to ½ a day the poles move almost to the equator, and all hell lets loose. The atmosphere and oceans don’t shift with the shell – they just keep on rotating West to East – and at the equator that speed is 1000 miles per hour. It has to be, normally, to make one rotation per day. So, while the shell shifts with the poles going toward the equator, the winds and oceans go eastward, blowing across the face of the earth with supersonic speeds, inundating continents with water miles deep….
You can see, then, that ice ages are not a matter of advancing and retreating ice; it’s simply that different areas of the Earth are in polar regions at different times, for different durations of time, with the changes between positions taking place in a fraction of a day. Thomas provided a table illustrating how the North pole, for example, would switch back and forth between northern hemisphere regions after experiencing close to a 90 degree tilt.

It is Thomas’ conclusion of cyclic pole shifts of almost 90 degrees that flip the poles back and forth over millennia that Davidson identified as the key reason the CIA classified Thomas’ work. If the North and South poles flipped back and forth 90 degrees, there would be little evidence of previous pole shifts since these would be buried under thick layers of ice.
This takes us to the science of paleomagnetics – the study of the record of the Earth’s magnetic field in rocks, minerals or archeological materials – which has been used to determine the historic movement of the Earth’s magnetic poles.
Davidson cited a number of scholarly articles which studied paleomagnetic data from volcanic hotspots. A highly regarded 1985 paleomagnetic study titled, “True polar wander: An analysis of Cenozoic and Mesozoic paleomagnetic poles” found “the pole has moved 22 deg + or 10 deg in the past 180 m.y.[million years].” This was far less than the 40 degree wandering pole hypothesis that Hapgood proposed in an approximate 5000 year period.
A subsequent 2001 study titled “Stability of the Earth with respect to the spin axis for the last 130 million years” concluded that “the time-averaged position of the spin axis has deviated by no more than ˜5° over the last 130 million yr, indicating that mantle mass heterogeneities have not changed rapidly enough to drive TPW [True Polar Wander].” Davidson cited these and a 2018 study as the key elements of the body of scientific evidence refuting Hapgood’s wandering pole hypothesis.
However, as Davidson pointed out, the scientific data from paleomagnetic studies did not address Thomas’ theory of the poles flipping back and forth over geologic time, thereby giving the appearance that the poles had not moved over millions of years as researchers had mistakenly concluded:
All work crushing the theory utilizes these flawed studies, especially the long term average pole position and none address the problem of a ping pong shift where you would have that time average pole position appearing to be in the same position over millions of years.
Davidson goes as far as suggesting that Hapgood, who worked for the CIA’s predecessor the Office of Strategic Services during World War II, conducted a “limited hangout” with his 1958 book to get some of the truth out into the public arena, but doing so in a way that could be eventually discredited.
Davidson cited a 1994 book titled World in Peril about the once classified information provided by an Arctic polar explorer, Major Maynard White, who told his son, Ken (the book’s author), about secret Pentagon meetings in 1948 where suppression of evidence of cyclic pole shifts was discussed:
At one of the scientific meetings that Major White attended in the Pentagon in early 1948, the scientists discussed the advisability of alerting the public to the pending polar-flip phenomenon. None of the scientist would agree to withhold the information from the public, but, on the other hand, neither could they agree on how to release it. The knowledge of this phenomenon, some felt, could in itself destroy the moral fiber of society. Their fears were apparently unfounded when, in the early 1950s, information about the flip phenomenon was released in both a newspaper column and a magazine article, but surprisingly generated no responses from an apparently stunned parochial or incredulous public.
Given the amount of scientific data presented by Davidson in his Earth Catastrophe Cycle series, it’s clear that physical pole shifts of approximately 90 degrees have been historically recorded, and that this became known to government authorities as early as 1948.
This takes us to the critical question: “What is the trigger for a geophysical pole shift?”
Hapgood, along with Albert Einstein, who wrote the preface to Hapgood’s 1958 book, believed that the accumulation of ice at the North and South poles would be the trigger for a crustal displacement (geophysical pole shift). Einstein explained the triggering mechanism as follows:
In a polar region there is continual deposition of ice, which is not symmetrically distributed about the pole. The earth’s rotation acts on these unsymmetrically deposited masses, and produces centrifugal momentum that is transmitted to the rigid crust of the earth. The constantly increasing centrifugal momentum produced in this way will, when it has reached a certain point, produce a movement of the earth’s crust over the rest of the earth’s body, and this will displace the polar regions toward the equator.
Davidson asserts in part 1 of his series that Einstein eventually broke with Hapgood when he realized that the amount of ice at the poles would be insufficient to trigger a crustal displacement as he had earlier concluded from Hapgood’s data.
In contrast to Hapgood, Thomas believed the explanation was that something in the Earth’s interior was occurring that was the triggering mechanism. Thomas wrote:
… once every few thousand years neutral matter escapes from the 860-mile [1385 km] radius inner core into the 1300-mile [2092 km] thick molten outer core, and there is a literal atomic explosion inside the Earth. The explosion in the high energy layer of the outer core disrupts completely the electrical and magnetic structure in both the molten outer core and the outer 60-mile thick molten layer. Finally, the ice caps are allowed to pull the shell of the earth around the interior, with the shallow molten layers lubricating the shift all the way. [The Adam and Eve Story, p.14]
Thomas likens the “neutral matter” escaping Earth’s inner core to the plasma in a solar burst since these are based on what he claimed was the same governing universal principle found in the atom and galaxies. Consequently, Thomas is suggesting that the triggering mechanism for the sun emitting a solar flash or micronova, is similar to what triggers the Earth’s inner core to release waves of energy that ultimately shift both the magnetic and physical poles by as much as 90 degrees, in a cyclic pattern.
In World in Peril, the triggering mechanism is described as a flip in the Earth’s magnetic field as cited by Davidson:
It was determined through repeated experimentation that as the “magnetic pole approached the “geographic pole, the “magnetic” pole would at some point accelerate its rate of convergence as though pulled toward the “geographic” pole by centripetal force and jump to coincide; but instead of the poles coinciding, the “magnetic” pole would rapidly “flip” around the “geographic” pole, them spin off towards the equator as though by centrifugal force, ending up at a position where the two axes assumed an approximate 89-degree divergence. After this polar “flip” occurred, the axes would then gradually begin to reconverge over a long period of time.
According to the classified information received by Major White and his USAF Arctic reconnaissance unit, the magnetic pole flip would be the trigger for a crustal displacement leading to an almost 90 degree geophysical pole shift, as explained in the description to the World in Peril:
World in Peril … provides an explanation, based on the unit’s findings, of how Pentagon scientists determined our globe has evolved in prehistory, and how another earth-reshaping cataclysm is imminent! Now we can understand why mammoths and mastodons found in the arctic permafrost had been instantaneously frozen with subtropical vegetation in their mouths and stomachs. World in Peril may be the only book in print that accurately explains the elusive triggering mechanism for the phenomena known to scientists for over 200 years as “crustal shift,” and what it implies.
It’s important to emphasize the complementary nature of the triggering mechanisms found in Thomas’ The Adam and Eve Story and White’s information in World in Peril.
White essentially described an internal geological process by which a magnetic pole flip would lead to a crustal displacement so the two sets of poles (magnetic and geophysical) would briefly realign at opposite ends of the equator. The magnetic poles would then gradually realign with the new geophysical North and South poles until the cycle repeated itself with the former geophysical poles flipping back to their former positions.
Some unknown event inside the Earth would trigger both the magnetic pole flip and the crustal displacement according to the information acquired by White, and had been suppressed by national security officials.
Thomas’ book explains the internal mechanism which triggers the pole shifts. The neutral matter he described is basically the functional equivalent of a micronova or solar flare being emitted by the Earth’s inner core. Consequently, any evidence of the Earth’s interior generating something analogous to increased solar activity is an important clue to a pole shift occurring in the near future.
Davidson’s six part series makes a cogent case for a connection between cyclic micronovas and historic pole shifts of almost 90 degrees, which occur in a back and forth flipping action making it appear that the present poles have been in their respective positions for millions of years, as paleomagnetic studies have mistakenly concluded.
Furthermore, his emphasis on the information proposed by Thomas and White as crustal displacement being triggered by internal geological events, rather than external events such as accumulation of ice at the poles, leads to a correct focus on something happening inside Earth’s molten core.
The historic data and analyses presented by Davidson point to something simultaneously triggering eruptions of “neutral matter” from the inner Earth core, and from the sun in the form of micronovas. This takes us finally to the role played by cosmic rays as the elusive trigger mechanism, and recent scientific data showing these recently emerging out of Antarctica and a possible connection to mysterious global seismic waves.

In a six-part series of videos titled Earth Catastrophe Cycle, Ben Davidson, founder of Space Weather News, presented multiple scientific studies of “micronova” (aka “solar flash”) events that recur in human history, and the subsequent pole shifts that haven taken place on a cyclic basis. The scientific data confirms that micronova events are common occurrences in our galaxy, and such events span Earth’s history, are associated with pole shifts, yet the evidence has been suppressed by government authorities for decades.
In part 4 of his video series, Davidson presents scientific studies showing how “micronovas” have been observed occurring in multiple stars by astronomers. “Micronova” is Davidson’s term for a supernova type event that is not large enough to exhaust or destroy the star generating it, but large enough to devastate nearby planets. He said:
What is a micronova? It’s not a supernova, it’s not even really a nova, as it is like the little sister of the nova, one that can affect the entire world but not completely destroy it.
Davidson’s video shows evidence that such micronova events are a cyclic part of the life of a star, and includes the following list of 10 known recurring nova events observed in the Milky Way.
Davidson referred to a number of sources pointing to solar flashes being part of Earth’s geological history. Among these is Dr. Robert Schoch, Associate Professor of Natural Sciences at Boston University and author ofForgotten Civilization: The Role of Solar Outbursts in our Past and Future. In a video interview in part 4 of Davidson’s series, Schoch explained that ice core samples from Greenland show that there was a solar burst or flare recorded at the end of the last Ice Age, known as the Younger Dryas, about 9700 BCE.
Schock and Davidson estimated that the micronova event was as much as 40 times the power of the most destructive solar storm observed in modern history, the 1859 Carrington event. This would make the Younger Dryas micronova as much as an X-100+ solar flare according to the measurement scale currently in use. Quite alarming, especially if this were to repeat any time soon.
The enormous amount of plasma that arrived immediately after the micronova event circa 9700 BCE, bombarded the Earth producing an effect similar to one or more major asteroid impacts. This has caused confusion and led many archeological researchers into mistakenly interpreting historic evidence of impacts causing and/or ending the last ice age, as deriving from asteroid impacts rather than plasma discharges.
In his interview and book, Schoch asserts that ancient records are consistent with a solar flash that wiped out an ancient civilization predating the end of the last Ice Age, widely assumed to be Plato’s Atlantis.
The scientific data on solar flashes goes back several decades. Bradley Schaefer, an astrophysicist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, wrote a paper titled, “Flashes from Normal Stars” that appeared in the February 1989 edition of The Astrophysical Journal. He dated the beginning of research into solar flashes to a 1959 study by H. Johnson who at the time “performed the only study which is capable of detecting rare flashes from normal field stars.”
Schaefer examined NASA data on glazing discovered on lunar rocks that was first presented in a 1969 paper by T. Gold published in Science who had concluded: “Some glazing is apparently due to radiation heating; it suggests a giant solar outburst in geologically recent times”. Schaefer agreed with Gold’s analysis and reached a similar conclusion:
The existence of a glazing on the top surfaces of lunar rocks has been used as a strong argument for a “solar outburst” where the Sun increased its luminosity by over 100 times for 10 to 100s within the last 30,000 years.
Schaefer went on to describe how such a “solar outburst” (aka solar flash or micronova) could result in an Extinction Level Event:
I crudely estimate that a flash … might result in a major extinction episode. (The Cretatious-Tertiary dinosaur extinctions cannot be explained by a flash since there is no mechanism for enhancing iridium.) The Sun could have undergone a few (at most) such super flashes in the last 108 yr [100,000,000 years]. These data suggest that our own Sun may have a significantly lower event rate than average field stars.
In part 5 of his video series, Davidson interviews solar cycle researcher Douglas Vogt who discusses the scientific data that lunar rocks provide hard evidence of solar flashes having occurred in recent geological history.
The scientific data compiled by Davidson in his video series is cogent and compelling, yet, it provides no answer to the critical question: “When will the next micronova or solar flash event occur?” For a detailed answer, we can turn to the startling testimony of Corey Goode, who says he has received intelligence briefings about when the “solar flash” will occur from two independent sources: a Secret Space Program Alliance and an Inner Earth civilization he calls the “Anshar”.
Goode says that he served in multiple secret space programs over a 20 year period from 1986 to 2007. While his claims have been very controversial, my research has found multiple points of corroboration which have been detailed in my Secret Space Program Series, including Goode being the first to release two Defense Intelligence Reference Documents that corroborate key elements of his remarkable testimony.
Goode said that scientists from different space programs predicted the solar flash occurring at the end of Solar Cycle 24 (2008-2018/2019), and that this led to plans for the evacuation of global elites to safe places similar to what was depicted in the movie, 2012.
In an interview, Goode gave details about what he had been told during a December 2017 visit to a secret moon base called Lunar Operations Command [LOC] about multiple solar flash events that have been predicted by different groups and their timing:
I have said for a while that I was told that it was not one solar event but a series of events that led up to one large event. During my meeting on the LOC… I was told that the Elite had expected the final “solar sneeze” [solar flash] to occur at the end of this Solar Minimum period (2018/2019 from their estimates). “Are we officially in Solar Minimum?” was the question of one of the people present. To my dismay that question went unanswered as the people being briefed were paying very close attention to this particular topic.
The Elite began moving underground in large numbers based on this probable timeline. The “Programs” had used probable future technology to nail down the time of Alien and Suppressed Technology Disclosure and The Solar Event. None of them agreed on what the Solar Event would be as many thought it would be a flash that would turn them into ascended light beings while others expected it to be a terrible day for the planet Earth…. The “Egg Heads” and the Smart Glass Pads described all of this occurring in the 2018-2023/24 time window.
Goode said that he also received information from another source, the Anshar, who claim to be the descendants of time travelers from our future. This meant that their ancestors had lived through the upcoming solar flash event(s) and passed down its effects through historical records, which were carried into the Earth’s distant past by the Anshar to maintain the current timeline. Goode explains what the Anshar had told him:
The flashes (not necessarily all flashes are visible) that have been occurring will build up to one large solar event. The Anshar described a major Solar Event in their past (Our Future?) that was very much like the “full circumference mass coronal ejection” that I described being one of the scientific theories about the Solar Event.
They described the solar blast being so powerful that it caused a physical pole shift on the Earth of several degrees. They described the atmosphere being breached by the CME [Coronal Mass Ejection] in the Northern Hemisphere which caused massive fires that wipe out a large area and in doing so knocks out all technology on the planet. There was a fair amount of loss of life in the actual event.
Goode’s information is very helpful since it provides intelligence data from secret space program scientists and Inner Earth beings who are monitoring solar activity, and are also aware of records detailing solar flashes or micronova from Earth’s history. This complements the scientific data compiled by Davidson which substantiates micronovas as a recurring phenomenon for many stars in our galaxy, including our own sun.
This take us to another key element of Davidson’s Earth Catastrophe Cycle series, which Goode’s classified sources provide complementary information. This concerns the predicted micronova or solar flash being a trigger for a geophysical pole shift that could be catastrophic for many regions of the planet.

• In 2017, an enigmatic object from beyond our solar system, named Oumuamua (depicted above), startled astronomers when it came streaking past the sun. In November 2018, Avi Loeb, the head of the astronomy department at Harvard University, co-wrote a paper with a post-doctoral student, Shmuel Bialy, reporting that Oumuamua is so unusual that scientists should consider the possibility that it could be an interstellar craft built by extraterrestrials. Oumuamua is a Hawaiian word meaning “messenger from the past.”
• Some of Loeb’s colleagues were intrigued. Others were disconcerted. But suddenly mainstream scientists were seriously talking about alien spaceships. Loeb is well aware that most scientists recoil from anything that sounds like UFO craziness. But he believes an overabundance of skepticism has cut them off from out-of-the box ideas. Says Loeb, “Why have a prejudice? Why argue that it must be natural? What do we gain, other than putting blinders on our eyes?”
• Penn State astronomer Jason Wright shares Loeb’s desire for open discussion. “There’s a real culture change. SETI (the search for extraterrestrial intelligence)is becoming a serious scientific discipline,” he says. Wright raises the possibility that a now-defunct alien civilization may have left behind artifacts on the moon where they could have survived, even if deposited there billions of years ago. Almost all such searches are destined for failure, Wright says, and all it takes is one success to change the world.
• Oumuamua’s unusual trajectory meant it had to have come from outside the solar system — and that it could have been traveling for millions of years. “It’s very elongated, with an axis ratio of at least 7 to 1,” astronomer Karen Meech of the University of Hawaii said. It’s at least seven times as long as it is wide — shaped like a cigar. Or, as Loeb proposes in his paper, maybe a flattened disk. At only 1,000 feet long it is too small to be a comet. And it has no distinctive comet tail. Also, it seems to be much more reflective than the typical comet.
• The biggest puzzle about Oumuamua was the way it moved. (see previous ExoNews article here) As it zoomed away from the sun, it sped up slightly, as if given an invisible push. Comets often accelerate that way when gases boil off their surface under heat from the sun. But observations by the Spitzer Space Telescope showed no such material coming off of Oumuamua.
• At this point, Loeb thought it was time to consider a more radical interpretation. Perhaps Oumuamua isn’t a comet at all, and that the acceleration was caused not by boiling gases but by the pressure of sunlight against a very wide, thin lightweight structure. Loeb and Bialy suggested that such an object could be technological debris or even “a fully operational (alien) probe.”
• Loeb anticipated a harsh reaction to his paper. One anonymous researcher disparaged the Bialy and Loeb paper as “irresponsible,” and “just out to grab attention.” Loeb shrugs off the reflexive dismissals, saying that his lofty academic position actually obligates him to be a pot-stirrer, “I can say these things other people can’t because I have tenure at Harvard. The whole idea of getting tenure is to allow you to be free in your mind. I used the opportunity of Oumuamua to make a statement.” “All I’m doing is following the standard scientific process, looking for explanations,” Loeb says.

Jason Wright, a Penn State astronomer who recently launched a graduate program in SETI (the search for extraterrestrial intelligence), shares Loeb’s desire for open discussion — and offers an upbeat assessment of the field’s growing respectability. “There’s a real culture change. STRANGE VISITOR FROM THE STARS
It was clear from the start that Oumuamua (pronounced oh-MOO-uh-MOO-uh) would shake up astronomy’s status quo. Shortly after its discovery, scientists realized that the object’s unusual trajectory meant it had to have come from outside the solar system — and that it could have been traveling for millions of years. They quickly dubbed the mysterious object Oumuamua, a Hawaiian word meaning “messenger from the past.”
There were more surprises. Oumuamua was too far away for astronomers to observe its shape directly, but they could tell by the extreme way its brightness shifted as it tumbled through space that it wasn’t like any space rock they had ever seen.

Intrigued by its oddities, several groups of SETI researchers listened for possible radio transmissions from Oumuamua — and heard nothing.

• The European Space Agency (ESA) has released a composite image showing a 82-kilometer-wide (50-mile wide), 2-kilometer-deep crater on Mars that is filled with water ice all year long.
• The ESA posted this online message along with the images (seen above and below) on December 20th: “A beautiful #winter wonderland… on #Mars! This ice-filled crater was imaged by our Mars Express spacecraft. Korolev crater is 82 kilometres across and found in the northern lowlands of Mars.” The northern lowlands of Mars is near the planet’s north pole which is known as Olympia Undae.

Budding future colonists hoping for a white Christmas on Mars will be somewhat disappointed as the ESA has confirmed that sitting in the Korolev crater is, in fact, a thick block of water ice, not snow. The enormous, 82-kilometer-wide, 2-kilometer-deep “ice trap” could still be good for ice skating though.

The crater is found in the northern lowlands of Mars near the planet’s north pole which is known as Olympia Undae for its wavy, dune-filled terrain. The crater’s ice is protected by the topography and by a lair of cold air that shields it from the elements.
The composite image was taken by the Mars Express High Resolution Stereo Camera (HRSC) and was actually formed from five different “strips,” with each strip gathered over a different orbit as the Mars Express probe flew overhead. The 2003-launched mission this month marks the 15-year anniversary of the probe’s orbit insertion at the Red Planet.
The icy crater is named after chief rocket engineer and spacecraft designer Sergey Korolev, known as the father of Soviet space technology and the head of iconic space exploration missions including the Sputnik, Vostok, and Voskhod programs. A lesser known fact is that Korolev dreamt about a flight to Mars for decades and was actually working on a rocket that would have brought a man to the Red Planet – and who knows where this unfinished project might have ended if it wasn’t for the Soviet visionary’s untimely death in 1966.

• The idea of alien life is continuing to gain acceptance among the world’s preeminent scientists and experts.
• NASA – Silvano Colombano, a researcher at NASA’s Ames Research Center, made international headlines with his assertion that our planet may have been visited by extraterrestrial life, just not in a form we readily comprehend. Colombano later explained that the intent of his analysis was to get people to take the concept of aliens visiting earth a bit more seriously than our culture permits. “My perspective was simply that reports of unidentified aerial phenomena should be the object of serious study,” he said.
• The Pentagon – A year ago, the New York Times broke the story that the Pentagon earmarking some $22 million for the Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program, which was devoted specifically to investigating UFO sightings made by U.S. military personnel. Among the sightings the Pentagon had investigated was the now infamous “Nimitz incident,” which saw U.S. Navy F/A-18 Super Hornets scrambled on multiple occasions to intercept UFOs in the airspace around the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier strike group.
• Harvard – This has also been a time of impressive scientific discoveries pertaining to exoplanets, some that Harvard scientists believe could potentially harbor life with technology so advanced, we humans struggle to comprehend what it could even be. A series of repeating Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs) that have been recorded from a specific distant galaxy has led to a debate between scientists who simply can’t come up with a plausible explanation for the immense amount of energy being released with each burst.
• A more recent Harvard paper contends that a cigar-shaped object called ‘Oumuamua that entered into our solar system from deep space last year may have actually been artificial. “‘Oumuamua may be a fully operational probe sent intentionally to Earth vicinity by an alien civilization,” a Harvard paper asserted, citing the celestial body’s apparent acceleration as it departed our solar system as evidence. It propelled itself forward more so than gravitational assistance and the release of gasses or water vapor would allow.
This past Monday, a paper written by Silvano Colombano, a researcher at NASA’s Ames Research Center, made international headlines thanks to the paper’s assertion that our planet may have been visited by extraterrestrial life. The ensuing media frenzy, Colombano admits, lost sight of his actual points in favor of exaggerated headlines and click-bait assertions… but the deeper premise remains: the idea of alien life is continuing to gain acceptance among the world’s preeminent scientists and experts.
The paper asserts that alien life may not come in forms we readily comprehend — in fact — it almost certainly would need to be vastly different from life we’ve seen thus far in order to survive the rigors of extended space travel. In keeping with that assertion about the nature of alien life, Colombano extended his line of thinking to the technology they may need to employ in order to traverse deep space.
“Considering further that technological development in our civilization started only about 10K years ago and has seen the rise of scientific methodologies only in the past 500 years, we can surmise that we might have a real problem in predicting technological evolution even for the next thousand years, let alone 6 Million times that amount,” Colombano wrote about the type of technology an alien civilization may utilize.
Since his paper made the global rounds, he has attempted to set the record straight about his analysis; explaining that his real intent was to get people to take the concept of aliens visiting earth a bit more seriously than culture permits at present.
“My perspective was simply that reports of unidentified aerial phenomena should be the object of serious study, even if the chance of identification of some alien technology is very small,” he explained.
Within the pockets of the internet devoted to UFO’s, alien life, and the government conspiracies that always seem to accompany them, none of Colombano’s assertions were all that new or original. The ideas that alien life may not be carbon based, would need to possess technology too great for us to imagine, and could be visiting us here on planet earth, are all old tropes for their community. To be honest, even having that signal boosted by a prominent NASA researcher and professor may not have been enough to really ruffle many feathers, but it’s the timing of Colombano’s work that’s helped garner attention.
His paper, titled, “New Assumptions to Guide SETI Research,” came after a series of notable stories once again catapulted UFOs, or UAPs, as they’re now frequently called (short for Unexplained Aerial Phenomena), back into the cultural lexicon. • In 1961, a 2×3-inch rock was found in a mountain range near Olancha, California. When split open, a perfectly circular, porcelain-like section containing a tiny pin that responded to a magnet was found inside. An X-ray clearly showed the metal pin with a spring or helix at one end. The other half of the object showed metal covering the porcelain-like cylinder.
• The relic, known as the “Coso Artifact”, is part of a display entitled “What is Reality” at the Pacific Science Center in Seattle, Washington.
• In Erich von Daniken’s latest book, “Impossible Truths: Amazing Evidence of Extraterrestrial Contact”, he writes of the Coso Artifact, “The existence of the pin in an object that is at least 500,000 years old provides evidence of significant knowledge of metallurgy at that time.”
• Enter Pierre Stromberg, a software manager who has spent hundreds of hours researching the Coso Artifact. As a kid, Stromberg read von Daniken’s “Chariots of the Gods?”, which theorizes extraterrestrials influenced early human life. But he lost respect for von Daniken due to his impression that von Daniken would ‘obfuscate’ his assertions. “[S]ome ancient astronaut proponents were not just wrong, they were willfully dishonest,” says Stromberg.
• In 1999, Stromberg contacted the Spark Plug Collectors of America. Club member Chad Windham remembers looking at the X-ray of the Coso Artifact and identified it as a spark plug – a Champion-brand spark plug, in fact – and not half-million year-old extraterrestrial relic. Stromberg thinks that the spark plug may have come from mining equipment.
• Well then, how did a spark plug end up inside a rock? Geologists call it a concretion, when sediment builds up in successive layers around something like a shell or pebble. That’s good enough for Stromberg.
For 57 years, since its discovery by three rockhounds in the mountains of Eastern California, an oblong, 2- by 3-inch stonelike mass has been at the heart of speculation around the world.
Oh, how we want to believe that the truth is out there.
Was it a rock embedded 500,000 years ago with an electronic device left on earth by alien visitors? Or was it the remnant of a long-gone advanced civilization?

Why all the speculation?

The Coso Artifact is featured in a YouTube video titled “Top 5 Artifacts That PROVE Past Advanced Civilizations Existed,” which has gotten 2.8 million views.
Pierre Stromberg
Enter Pierre Stromberg, a Woodinville software manager, who has spent hundreds of hours researching the artifact. It’s because of his work that the artifact is at the Pacific Science Center as part of a display space titled “What is Reality,” which also includes a walk-through virtual-reality adventure.
The Science Center says the purpose is “to confront a broad variety of mind-bending topics” alongside “scientists and innovators who are shaping the future.”
Stromberg, 54, a 1986 graduate in computer science from Manhattan College in the Bronx, where he grew up, says that as a kid he read Erich von Daniken’s “Chariots of the Gods?”, which theorizes extraterrestrials influenced early human life. Pretty neat stuff, he thought back then.
Stromberg says that in 1977, when he was 13, he lost his admiration for von Daniken after watching a TV interview with the author.
“I was stunned how von Daniken continued to obfuscate and maintain his assertions. I realized that some ancient astronaut proponents were not just wrong, they were willfully dishonest,” says Stromberg. “It really bothered me that I had let myself be influenced by them.”

• Dr. David L Clements, a top astrophysicist at Imperial University (Imperial College London) as recently published a paper claiming that alien life will be discovered within 20 years. “…[N]ew observational insights and other developments mean that signs of life elsewhere might realistically be uncovered in the next decade or two,” says Clements.
• In his study, Dr. Clements discussed the Fermi Paradox, saying that an alien space-faring civilization, “…should thus already be here, and yet they are not.” “This can be used as an argument against the existence of intelligent extraterrestrials, but our own existence is proof that intelligent life can and does arise in the Galaxy. This is the central puzzle of the Fermi Paradox.”
• Dr. Clements’ paper goes on to suggest that life is likely to be found in oceans locked beneath the frozen surface of moons or planets. In our own solar system, one of the most likely homes for alien life is Europa, a moon of Jupiter which is believed to be hiding a gigantic body of water beneath its icy crust. “We are left with the rather chilling prospect that the galaxy may be filled with life, but that any intelligence within it is locked away beneath impenetrable ice barriers, unable to communicate with, or even comprehend the existence of, the universe outside,” says Dr. Clements.

Theoretically, a ‘space-faring civilisation’ should be able to visit every single star in the galaxy in a timescale of between 50 and 100 million years – even if they travelled at velocities which were slower than the speed of light. ‘Aliens should thus already be here, and yet they are not,’ Dr Clements added. ‘This can be used as an argument against the existence of intelligent extraterrestrials, but our own existence is proof that intelligent life can and does arise in the Galaxy. ‘This is the central puzzle of the Fermi Paradox.’

• Astronomers have discovered a strange flickering star, resembling a Tabby star, in which case an alien mega-structure was supposed to be present, like a Dyson sphere. (see previous ExoNews article on the Tabby Star)
• The behavior of the new star is not associated with aliens. However, astronomer Roberto Saito of the Federal University of Santa Catarina in Florianópolis, Brazil, argues that it is extremely unusual. “We don’t know what the object is,” says Saito. “And this is interesting.”
• Saito and his colleagues were looking for supernovae and found a star flashing brightly. Then the star suddenly faded. From 2010 to 2018, the brightness of the star either increased, then decreased, without any regularity, reminiscent of Tabbi’s star. The team named the object VVV-WIT-07 (WIT is an abbreviation of “What is this?”).
• A team of astronomers intend to continue observing the star using larger telescopes like the 8.1-meter Gemini or ALMA telescope located in Chile.
• [Editor’s Note] Tabby’s Star is named after Tabetha Boyajian, the Louisana State University astrophysicist who discovered it on 2015. The stars luminosity changes, leading to speculation that it may be surrounded by anything from space debris to an alien-made Dyson sphere megastructure surrounding the star and harvesting its energy for space travel, manufacturing or other energy-consuming activities.
Astronomers who looked for supernovae, found an object that behaves more amazing than the star Tabbi.
Astronomers have discovered a strange flickering star, resembling a Tabby star, in which case an alien mega-structure was supposed to be present, like a Dyson sphere.
The idea of a megastructure, first proposed in 2015, was later refuted by data suggesting that the strange flickering is due to dust particles obscuring the star’s light. The behavior of the new star, it seems, is also not associated with aliens. However, astronomer Roberto Saito of the Federal University of Santa Catarina in Florianópolis, Brazil, argues that it is extremely unusual. Together with his colleagues, the scientist wrote an article about it, published in the arXiv.org preprint database.
“We don’t know what the object is,” says Saito. “And this is interesting.”

• In 1974, the first Arecibo Message transmitted from the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico was designed by SETI astronomers including Frank Drake and Carl Sagen and was beamed by radio transmission from the Arecibo telescope in the direction of the M13 star cluster in the constellation Hercules. It was meant as an intergalactic greeting from planet Earth. (see image of message below)
• The shapes shown on the Arecibo Message grid represent a variety of concepts ranging from the numbers 1 through 10 to the chemical constituents of DNA, our solar system’s planets and the telescope itself, plus a stick figure that stands for humanity. Other types of messages have been sent out periodically since then as well.
• Since the first transmission was sent in 1974, the three minutes’ worth of radio waves have rippled out to a distance of 44 light-years, or less than 0.2 percent of the way to M13 star cluster. Experts acknowledge that it’s extremely unlikely the message will ever be detected and decoded by an alien civilization.
• Now the Planetary Habitability Laboratory at the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo Observatory wants to transmit a second Arecibo Message from Arecibo’s 1,000-foot-wide radio telescope. They’ve announced a student-focused competition to design a new message to beam to extraterrestrials. In order to qualify and ultimately register, student competitors will first need to solve a series of brain-teasing puzzles posted on Arecibo’s website. The contest is open to teams from around the world, in classes ranging from kindergarten to college. Each team should consist of five students plus an adult mentor – for example, a teacher, professor or professional scientist. The first challenge will be posted on December 16th. • Experts continue to debate the wisdom of broadcasting our existence to the rest of the universe. Most famously, the late physicist Stephen Hawking said letting extraterrestrials know where we are could turn out as badly for us as Christopher Columbus’ arrival in the New World turned out for Native Americans.
The Arecibo Observatory today kicked off a student-focused competition to design a new message to beam to extraterrestrials, 44 years to the day since the first deliberate message was sent out from Arecibo’s 1,000-foot-wide radio telescope.
“Our society and our technology have changed a lot since 1974,” Francisco Cordova, the observatory’s director, said in a news release. “So if we were assembling our message today, what would it say? What would it look like? What one would need to learn to be able to design the right updated message from the earthlings? Those are the questions we are posing to young people around the world through the New Arecibo Message – the global challenge.”

“We have quite a few surprises in store for participants, and we will be sharing more details as the competition progresses,” Cordova said.

• Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts (MIT) have published an article in The Astrophysical Journal proposing the construction of a laser beam that could reach up to 20,000 light years away in order to initiate communication with extraterrestrial worlds.
• The MIT article proposes a laser beam “feasibility study” likened to a porch light in our little neighborhood of the galaxy. “If we were to successfully close a handshake and start to communicate, we could flash a message, at a data rate of about a few hundred bits per second, which would get there in just a few years,” said James Clark, graduate student in MIT’s Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics and author of the study.
• Using laser technology, we can establish a channel of intergalactic communication capable of 2mbps speeds, like a slow DSL internet connection, allowing a technologically advanced extraterrestrial race to similarly “talk back”. Of course, the communication line itself has to be established first, and that could take decades or even centuries.
• The question of whether it’s actually wise to be broadcasting laser beams and trying to contact aliens around our galaxy is up for hot discussion. In 2010, Stephen Hawking suggested we might not want to reveal ourselves to an alien civilization in the habit of plundering defenseless world like ours. Conversely, in his novel, Breakfast of Champions, Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. suggested that benevolent alien beings might very well encounter hostile Earthlings.
• American and French scientists have already been working on an Avlis copper/dye laser beam at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore, California, for astronomical observation.

It gets even more interesting if we happen upon aliens who understand what it is, and then, basically “talk back” using similar methods of communication; using lasers, we can establish a channel capable of 2mbps speeds. In other words, a somewhat slow but still capable Internet connection. Think basic DSL type of data transfers.
Of course, the communication line itself has to be established first, and that could take decades or even centuries.

• For years, the Pentagon has secretly studied the seemingly impossible abilities of unknown craft captured in military videos. Scientists now want to know if the materials used in these UFOs allow them to do what they do. They’ve been collecting so-called “metamaterials”, especially any associated with crashed UFOs, from all over the world.

• One of the secret studies was carried out by BAASS (Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies), a Las Vegas operation hidden within Bigelow Aerospace, under contract with the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) to study metamaterials as well as futuristic technologies. Last year, the New York Times reported that a sample of metamaterial was secretly stored at Bigelow aerospace. Managers of the BAASS program told George Knapp’s “I-Team” news team in Las Vegas that while they are familiar with some of the metamaterial samples, none were ever stored in Las Vegas.

Magnesium samples about 10 times the size of a human hair, supposedly picked up in the crash retrieval of an advanced aerospace vehicle. It looks like it’s been in a crash.” Puthoff and his colleague Dr. Eric Davis are on the cutting edge of attempts to identify an assortment of bits and pieces that are seemingly beyond anything we can create.
• Astrophysicist Dr. Jacques Vallee has been analyzing metamaterials since the 80s, often using the technical expertise of Stanford University and Silicon Valley to unravel unknown samples acquired from all over the world. Vallee pointedly steers clear of any military funding and he’s shared his findings at public conferences.

This one sample is engineered in layers thinner than microns, through a process unknown on earth, and for a purpose we can only guess.
“Nowhere could we find any evidence that anybody ever made one of these when we talked to people in the materials field who should know, they said we don’t know why anybody would want to make anything like this,” Dr. Puthoff said.

• In studying Oumuamua over the past year, Harvard Smithsonian astronomers, Shmuel Bialy and Abraham Loeb, determined that the object was activated and propelled by sunlight. The light radiation from the Sun exerts its force on the rock’s surface and this powers the asteroid on. This means that we could be looking at the reminiscences of a reconnaissance probe conducted by extraterrestrials. These mainstream scientists are putting forth a theory that might seem crazy to others: that Oumuamua might have built by an extraterrestrial civilization.
Shmuel Bialy and Abraham Loeb, two astronomers from Harvard Smithsonian made an interesting observation recently. According to them, the mysterious interstellar rock Oumuamua might be a proof that aliens exist. The scientists claim to have noticed signs that the asteroid is part of a light-driven probe. This means that we could be looking at the reminiscences of a reconnaissance mission conducted by extraterrestrials.

The mysterious rock drew the scientists’ attention because of its unusual behaviour outside our solar system. Last year, in September, when they noticed it, the asteroid was moving at a high speed when the normal tendency would be to slow down.
At first, the observers thought that the rock is acting so strange because a gas was released inside it. After they looked deeper into the matter, the astronomers realized that if Oumuamua were a comet with abnormal gas releases, the object would have to spin throughout the space.
With all the speed, the asteroid remained flat, so Bialy and Loeb reached the conclusion that Oumuamua is actually activated by the sunlight. How is that possible? The light exerts its force on the rock’s surface and this powers the asteroid on.

President Donald Trump’s uncle, John G. Trump, was a Professor of Electrical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 1936 until his retirement in 1973. It is well known that declassified documents confirm that in January 1943 Professor Trump was called upon by the FBI to evaluate the personal papers of Nikola Tesla just over a week after his death. What is not well known is that there is also a leaked classified document that also connects Professor Trump to another famous event in US history – the crash of a flying saucer at Roswell in 1947.
According to a memorial tribute published by the National Academy of Engineering, John Trump joined MIT to work with Professor Robert J. Van de Graaff, who was a pioneer in “the new field of super-high voltage generation and applications.” After gaining a Doctorate under Van de Graaff in 1933, Trump went on to become an assistant professor in 1936, and a full professor in 1952 at MIT.

According to the memorial tribute:
John Trump had two main interests: the insulation of super-high voltages in vacuum and compressed gases and the biological applications of high voltage radiation.
During World War II, Trump worked on microwave radar at MIT’s Radiation Lab, where he served as “field services director”, and also was posted to the British branch of the Radiation Lab where he worked directly with General Dwight D. Eisenhower:
In 1944, he was named director of the lab and given the responsibility of working directly with the Eisenhower Military Command. At the liberation of Paris, Trump rode into the city with General Eisenhower and immediately began to set up the Paris branch of the Radiation Lab.
Trump’s expertise with high voltages and radiation was widely acknowledged by U.S. authorities, and he also was very familiar with the requirements for working in classified government programs.
In 1943, he played a major role in the examination of Nikola Tesla’s personal papers that were acquired by the FBI/Office Alien Property Custodian soon after Tesla’s January 13 death. An FBI document included Trump among the scientists and experts investigating Tesla’s papers:
Tesla was the author of over 200 patents granted worldwide, and made numerous claims about building death rays and electrostatic walls of energy that could protect any country from attack.
Among Tesla’s inventions was a revolutionary disc shaped aircraft – a flying saucer – which he allegedly filed a patent application for in the early 1900’s, but it was not granted on national security grounds. Apparently, Tesla planned for his flying saucer to be remotely powered by a “world wireless system” which he first discussed in a March 5, 1904 paper titled: “The Transmission of Electric Energy Without Wires”. Tesla wrote:
Not only was it practicable to send telegraphic messages to any distance without wires, as I recognized long ago, but also to impress upon the entire globe the faint modulations of the human voice, far more still, to transmit power, in unlimited amounts, to any terrestrial distance and almost without loss…
Tesla went on to describe how his “world wireless system” would be powered by devices similar to his legendary Wardenclyff Tower, which would be eventually capable of generating huge electrostatic charges that surpassed that found in lightning bolts:
It is difficult to form an adequate idea of the marvelous power of this unique appliance, by the aid of which the globe will be transformed. The electromagnetic radiations being reduced to an insignificant quantity, and proper conditions of resonance maintained, the circuit acts like an immense pendulum, storing indefinitely the energy of the primary exciting impulses and impressions upon the earth of the primary exciting impulses and impressions upon the earth and its conducting atmosphere uniform harmonic oscillations of intensities which, as actual tests have shown, may be pushed so far as to surpass those attained in the natural displays of static electricity.
Tesla’s proposal of building a “world wireless system” that could power any remote device, including his proposed flying saucer, was certainly revolutionary. What is critical here is that his proposal for building devices capable of generating huge electrostatic charges was the precise topic that Professor Trump had specialized in at MIT with his work on Van de Graaff generators!
So did Tesla really design a flying saucer that would be powered by a some kind of Van de Graaff generator?
A New York inventor, Otis Carr, claims that he befriended Tesla in 1937 while Tesla was living at the New Yorker Hotel, and was instructed by Tesla on how to build a flying saucer that would be powered by an electrical generator.
Over a decade later, Carr succeeded in getting a patent for his revolutionary flying saucer craft, which he called an amusement park device in order to get it approved by the US Trade and Patent Office. After raising private funding to build his OTC-XI, he successfully tested his flying saucer in 1961. According to one of Carr’s former employees, Ralph Ring, the saucer incorporated high voltage machines for its propulsion and navigation systems.
Unfortunately, Ring also told of how Carr’s manufacturing facility was raided and closed down by Federal agents on bogus charges of securities fraud.
If Carr and Ring are to be believed, a civilian spacecraft based on Nikola Tesla’s ideas and inventions was successfully built and tested in 1961. Were any of Tesla’s ideas on building a flying saucer device found in his personal papers after his death?
Trump was involved in radar research for the Allies in the Second World War, and in 1943 the F.B.I. had enough faith in his technical ability and his discretion to call him in when Nikola Tesla died in his room at the New Yorker Hotel, in Manhattan, raising the question of whether enemy agents might have had a chance to learn some of his secrets before the body was found. (One fear was that Tesla was working on a “death ray.”) As Margaret Cheney and Robert Uth recount in “Tesla, Master of Lightning,”
Professor Trump examined Tesla’s papers and equipment, and wrote a report for the FBI stating nothing of national security significance was found within them:
As a result of this examination, it is my considered opinion that there exist among Dr. Tesla’s papers and possessions no scientific notes, descriptions of hitherto unrevealed methods or devices, or actual apparatus which could be of significant value to this country or which constitute a hazard in unfriendly hands. I can therefore see no technical or military reason why further custody of the property should be retained.
Professor Trump went on to give his conclusion about the importance of Tesla’s work over the prior 15 years:
It should be no discredit to this distinguished engineer and scientists whose solid contributions to the electrical art were made at the beginning of the present century to report that his thoughts and efforts during at least the past fifteen years were primarily of a speculative, philosophical, and somewhat promotional character – often concerned with the production and wireless transmission of power – but did not include new sound, workable principles or methods for realizing such results.
Trump did not appear to be impressed by Tesla’s background or what had been found in the latter’s papers when it came to its potential war application.
Given Tesla’s claims and what numerous researchers have discovered about his revolutionary ideas, this appears odd. Either Trump found nothing of importance as he reported to the FBI, or he was instructed by higher military authorities to cover up the true significance of Tesla’s papers in his report to the FBI.
According to Margaret Cheney, author of Tesla: Man Out of Time, some of Tesla’s documents, inventions and patents applications were seized by FBI agents and never released into the public arena. If Cheney is correct, then John Trump did find items of importance among Tesla’s collection that were taken and have been kept secret from the public to the present day.
Despite the controversy over what was retrieved from Tesla’s collection, it is clear that he worked on developing revolutionary technologies, some of which are relevant to flying saucer propulsion systems. Otis Carr’s claims directly connect Tesla to such exotic propulsion technologies.
The relevance of all this is that John Trump was the man the FBI wanted to help them decide whether Tesla’s personal papers contained revolutionary technologies that were vital to national security or not. Essentially, the FBI viewed Trump as the expert who could make the necessary recommendations on the revolutionary technologies, some of which concerned flying saucers, which the FBI and the US military was secretly studying from what had been retrieved at Roswell and other crash sites.
A little known historical fact is that Van de Graaff generators, which Professor John Trump specialized in at MIT, were a key component of flying saucer research being secretly conducted in Nazi Germany. According to Vladimir Terziski, an electrical engineer who was a member of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences before emigrating to the US, Van de Graaff machines were part of the propulsion system for different flying saucer prototypes being developed by Nazi Germany.
Terziski explained that Vril and Haunebu models possessed an electro-gravitics propulsion system called Thule-Tachyonator drives. These were first developed in 1939 by a Nazi SS development unit which incorporated Van de Graaff generators, as learned from SS documents acquired and released by Terziski after the collapse of the Warsaw Pact:
This group developed by 1939 a revolutionary electro-magnetic-gravitic engine which improved Hans Coler’s free energy machine into an energy Konverter coupled to a Van De Graaff band generator and Marconi vortex dynamo [a spherical tank of mercury] to create powerful rotating electromagnetic fields that affected gravity and reduced mass. It was designated the Thule … [Tachyonator-7 drive] and was to be installed into a Thule designed disc.
If Trump’s expertise on Van de Graaff generators led to him learning about the propulsion systems used in flying saucer research, is there any documentary evidence linking Professor Trump to US government’s research and development in this regard?
Indeed, there is. A Majestic document called the “White Hot Report” was given a “High Level of Authenticity” rating by Dr Robert Wood and Ryan Wood, who specialize in researching and authenticating leaked government and military documents given MAJIC and similar level security classifications.
The leaked Majestic document concerns a report by then Major General Nathan Twining about the need to set up a permanent committee to evaluate the Roswell UFO Crash given the many vital national security issues surrounding the visitation of extraterrestrial life and their advanced technologies. The White Hot Report describes a list of scientific institutions involved in the study of such extraterrestrial artifacts. Prominently listed among them is MIT.
This is a stunning discovery since it directly links the institution where Professor Trump worked, with secret government studies of the Roswell UFO Crash. Given Trump’s expertise in high voltage radiation and Van de Graaff generators, his 1943 role in evaluating Tesla’s personal papers and work for classified US government programs during World War II, it is reasonable to conclude that Trump was almost certainly among the MIT experts consulted about the revolutionary technologies found at Roswell.
Trump was likely also very familiar with top secret research and development efforts by US authorities to develop flying saucer technologies for a future space program due to his expertise on Van de Graff generators – a vital component of flying saucer propulsion systems.
The big question is, did Professor Trump pass any of this amazing information to his nephew, Donald?
John Trump died in 1985, at age 78, when Donald was 39, and at the time a successful real estate magnate who was often giving interviews to major media outlets.
Trump first mentioned his uncle in a 1984 New York Times profile where he said that they first began to talk about physics and nuclear disarmament 15 years earlier. Donald was around 23 at the time and had a year earlier (May 1968) graduated from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor of Science in economics.
[Donald Trump] says that his concern for nuclear holocaust is not one that popped into his mind during any recent made-of-television movie. He says that it has been troubling him since his uncle, a nuclear physicist, began talking to him about it 15 years ago.
At a June 12 2018 press conference, after his meeting with North Korean’s leader, Kim Jong-Un, President Trump spoke about his uncle and how he had helped shape his views on the importance of nuclear disarmament:
I used to discuss nuclear with him all the time … He was a great expert, he was a great brilliant genius.
Trump’s references to his uncle John, shows how influential he had been in shaping his views on nuclear disarmament and other advanced science topics. Could some of these discussions have covered inventions developed by Nikola Tesla and technologies retrieved from the Roswell UFO crash?
There are two actions taken by Trump during and after his Presidential inauguration that suggest that Tesla’s inventions and the Roswell UFO crash were among the subjects he and his uncle had privately discussed.
We stand at the birth of a new millennium, ready to unlock the mysteries of space, to free the earth from the miseries of disease, and to harness the energies, industries and technologies of tomorrow.
Trump is here clearly alluding to some revolutionary technologies that his administration plans to release, which will transform the health, transportation and space industries.
Trump issued a Top Secret Memorandum a day or so after his inauguration speech dealing with such revolutionary technologies, according to secret space program insider Corey Goode whose testimony has featured in the best selling documentary, Above Majestic. Essentially, Trump demanded that the intelligence community revoke their secrecy orders on a thousand of the then 5,680 patent applications that were being held up. He allegedly told them to do so within a two-year period.
It’s quite possible that some of the confiscated Tesla’s papers included patent applications that would be among those that had been held up by the intelligence community, and perhaps even include his alleged flying saucer device that would be remotely powered by a worldwide wireless system. According to the Federation of American Scientists, the number of patent applications held up by secrecy orders had increased to 5,784 by the end of 2017.
If Trump had issued such a Memorandum, there is yet no sign it is being put into practice by the intelligence community. This may be due to the intense behind the scenes battle between the Trump administration and the Deep State as I have covered in previous articles.
The second action suggesting his uncle had told him about Tesla’s inventions and the Roswell crash concerns President Trump’s proposal for a Space Force, despite objections by Congress and even the US military. His proposal may well be driven by his knowledge that flying saucer technologies incorporating high voltage radiation and Van de Graaff machines found at Roswell, which his Uncle John had confidentially told him about, had been secretly developed and built decades ago for one or more secret space programs.
The idea that Trump knows of secret space programs and extraterrestrial life is strengthened by recent posts by the military intelligence group working with his administration, Q Anon, confirming their reality. Most importantly, QAnon was signaling that the Trump administration has a full disclosure agenda.
Trump’s desire for a Space Force appears to be part of a plan to wrest control of information concerning secret space programs and extraterrestrial life, away from the Deep State and transnational corporations. If Trump succeeds in his plan to empower the Office of the President of United States to run such highly classified programs, then the revolutionary changes promised in his inauguration speech, may not be too far away at all.
If so, we may ultimately have John Trump to thank for inspiring his nephew at an early age about the existence of life changing health and transportation technologies connected to classified research of flying saucers, some of which originate dates back to the pioneering research of Nikola Tesla conducted over a century ago.

• During the 1980’s, SETI was generally funded through participating university programs and endowments. In the 1990’s as university funding diminished, NASA began helping to fund SETI. But that only lasted a year before some in Congress complained that we were wasting money on a “great Martian chase.” SETI realized that the only hope for the future was private funding.
• Barney Oliver, the founder of Hewlett Packard laboratories and SETI supporter, contacted his billionaire buddies Bill Hewlett and David Packard, Intel founder Gordon Moore, and Paul Allen to successfully raise $20 million to keep SETI’s research moving forward.
• SETI was leasing global telescopes for its projects. But ultimately, SETI wanted its own dedicated array of radio telescopes to target hundreds of stars at a time. SETI’s founder, Jill Tarter, put together an array of 350 20-foot radio telescopes, but needed $25 million to purchase it. Paul Allen stepped up and footed the bill to create the first American SETI telescope array located in northern California. “There’s no doubt that Paul saved American SETI,” said Seth Shostak, senior astronomer at the SETI Institute.
• By 2007, the SETI array consisted of 42 telescopes. At the dedication ceremony, Paul Allen pushed the button to turn the system on. Over the past ten years, the SETI array has analyzed 200 million signals from thousands of stars, studied unusual high-energy radio emissions, and even scanned the “spliff-shaped” Oumuamua asteroid for signs of intelligent life. Paul Allen had turned his attention to other projects, and the array was shut down for a year in 2011 due to lack of continued funding, however. But Allen remained a public supporter. Said Allen, “I think everybody would admit [the prospect of communicating with extraterrestrials] is a long shot, but if that long shot comes in…”

SETI’s early years in the United States was mostly defined by intermittent searches bankrolled with public funds, such as the National Science Foundation-funded program at Ohio State University which discovered the Wow! signal, or university endowments, such as Harvard’s Project Sentinel. By the early 90s, however, many of the early SETI programs had ended. The best hope for detecting extraterrestrial intelligence seemed to be NASA’s first foray into SETI, the Microwave Observing Program, which began observations in 1992.

Less than a year after the start of NASA’s SETI program, it was killed by members of Congress who didn’t want to waste money on the “great Martian chase.” The SETI Institute, a nonprofit founded in 1984 by the radio astronomer Jill Tarter, wasn’t going to let SETI die at the hands of a few cynical congressmen, but it also realized that the only hope for the future was privately funded searches.
Fortunately, one of the earliest SETI Institute supporters was Barney Oliver, who founded and directed Hewlett Packard laboratories. So in 1993 Oliver called Bill Hewlett and David Packard of Hewlett Packard, Intel founder Gordon Moore, and Paul Allen to ask for their support.
“It probably only took Barney a few hours on the phone to get each of them to commit $1 million every year for the next five years,” Seth Shostak, the senior astronomer at the SETI Institute, told me on the phone. “I’m not sure any of them were particularly interested in SETI, but they were interested in whatever Barney thought was a good idea.”
This $20 million commitment bankrolled Project Phoenix, a SETI program that ran from 1995 to 1998. Over the course of three years, Project Phoenix rented time on the Parkes radio telescope in Australia and the Green Bank Telescope in West Virginia to scan for signals from 800 stars within 200-light years of Earth.

• Australian radio telescopes have received a huge number of signals from deep space called “fast radio bursts”. Scientists have detected twenty such signals this year, which is double the number detected worldwide.
• The team of researchers from Western Australia has also found the closest and brightest fast radio bursts ever detected from the depths of the space, noted in the science journal Nature. These radio waves’ energy is close to the amount released by the Sun over 80 years. They also point out that there could be hi-tech extraterrestrial beings sending these distant signals.

In all the research to study life in the universe and beyond, a new dimension has been provided by Australian researchers. • In 1960, Harvard PhD Frank Drake and his colleagues decided that rather than using the Green Bank Observatory in West Virginia to determine the surface temperature of Venus or the radiation belts of Jupiter, they’d train it on two nearby stars to listen for signs of life from intelligent extraterrestrials. This was the beginning of the modern Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, or SETI.
• In the meantime, physician/philosopher John Lilly was trying to communicate with earth-bound intelligences. From apes to elephants to pig to octopus, these creatures seem to possess intelligent self-awareness. He found that the most intelligent were the dolphins and whales. Lilly also saw the experiments as a way to help efforts to contact extraterrestrial aliens. If we can crack the code of dolphin language, we might have a shot at decoding other alien communication.
• In 1961, a group of scientists met at green Bank to discuss the search for alien intelligence. They included Drake and Lilly, radio expert Dana Atchley, biochemist Melvin Calvin, optical astronomer Su-Shu Huang, computing pioneer Barney Oliver, Russian radio astronomer Otto Struve, and a young Carl Sagan. To begin with they wanted to get an idea of how many ET’s were possibly out there. They came up with what is no referred to as ‘The Drake Equation’.
• Lilly used this meeting to tell his colleagues about his dolphin research, pointing out that the dolphin’s brain was actually larger and more complex than the human brain. The dolphin was clearly an intelligent being. Lilly even heard signs of language and empathy in recordings of the dolphins.
• But after this 1961 meeting, Lilly began introducing substances such as ketamine and LSD in his research to assist in communicating with dolphins. Drake and some other scientists began to distance themselves from Lilly’s dolphin research, calling it “poor science” and “unreliable”. As a result, Lilly’s work has tainted subsequent attempts to understand the intelligence of dolphins.
• Still, this episode in the history scientific research spawned the SETI research of today. More resources than ever are pouring into SETI efforts, thanks in part to a $100 million project from Russian billionaire Yuri Milner called Breakthrough Listen. As we search for intelligent aliens in ‘habitable zones’, we also may discover life that existed in Mars’s past, or currently on the moons Enceladus, Europa, Titan or Triton.
• [Editor’s Note] The advances in our knowledge of intelligent extraterrestrial life that we will see in the near future, and indeed, the existence of extraterrestrials on and around our own planet, will make these initial scientific explorations trivial, if not irrelevant. We are on the brink of an entirely new and exciting exo-scientific age.
In 1961, when UFOs were all the rage, a group of top scientific minds met in secret at a rural observatory in West Virginia. At the time, the Green Bank Observatory was the biggest, baddest telescope in the burgeoning practice of radio astronomy. While the list of meeting attendees now reads like a who’s who of the era’s luminaries, the reason they gathered covertly was because of the taboo nature of their topic of discussion. These scientists wanted to find, and talk to, aliens. They didn’t know it, but they were about to launch the modern Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, or SETI.
SETI First Steps
Let’s back up a moment. In 1958, a newly minted Harvard PhD named Frank Drake came to Green Bank. Usually he sought out typical radio astronomy targets — the Van Allen Belts around Earth, say, or the surface temperature of Venus, or the radiation belts of Jupiter.
But one day in 1960, Drake and his colleagues instead tuned into two nearby stars, Tau Ceti and Epsilon Eridani. Their goal was simple: they were alien hunting, hoping to hear radio communications originating from intelligent extraterrestrials.
UFOs were popular then, but Drake’s research was legitimate, one of the first dedicated scientific searches for aliens. Drake had been spurred on by Giuseppe Cocconi and Philip Morrison, who the previous year had co-authored a Nature paper with the provocative title “Searching for Interstellar Communications.” It remains a foundational SETI text.
Much to Drake’s surprise, his team actually heard something in those first few experiments. Unfortunately, it ended up being just a high altitude plane. Project Ozma, as the research was called (after L Frank Baum’s fictional monarch of Oz), was both the first SETI experiment and the first SETI false alarm.
“We had failed to detect a genuine alien signal, it was true, but we had succeeded in demonstrating that searching was a feasible, and even reasonable, thing to do,” Drake wrote in his book Is Anyone Out There?, co-written with science writer Dava Sobel.
Talking to Dolphins
While Drake was launching some of the first SETI programs, John Lilly — a physician, philosopher, writer and inventor — was attempting to communicate with his own alien intelligence. He just wasn’t looking quite as far.
Humans are, in fact, surrounded by intelligence. Our fellow great apes understand the rudiments of language, and seem to possess highly organized social structures, tool-making skills and self-awareness. Creatures literally great and small — elephants and crows — have many of these qualities as well. (Alas, the pig is also remarkably intelligent; your bacon was likely self aware.)
Intelligent life isn’t isolated to land, either. The octopus brain is one of the most remarkable on Earth, and its close cousin, the cuttlefish, is no slouch either. But the superstars of the sea, to most humans, are marine mammals, especially dolphins and whales.

• Jupiter’s moon Europa is often held up as one of the most promising places to discover extraterrestrial life. It is relatively near and has huge seas of liquid water under its surface, which could provide a home to those aliens. However, in a new research paper, Dr Daniel Hobley, from Cardiff University’s School of Earth and Ocean Sciences describes how treacherous the surface of Europa is for landing spacecraft or probes.
• “The presence of sharp, blade-like structures towering to almost 15 metres high would make any potential landing mission to Europa extremely precarious. We hope that studies like ours will help the engineers to develop innovative ways of delivering landers safely on Europa’s surface so that we can find out even more about this fascinating place, and potentially look for signs of extra-terrestrial life,” said Dr Hobley.
• These massive shards of ices, or “penitentes”, are formed through a process known as sublimation. That turns ice into water vapor without melting into a liquid between the two, and leaves behind those blade-like formations that point right up into the sky. Europa has the right thermal conditions for this sublimation to occur, and the sun always shines at the same angle towards the surface. Penitentes between one and five metres tall do grow on Earth, but are restricted to extreme areas such as the Andes Mountains.

Scientists hope to eventually land a spacecraft on that icy crust and drill down beneath it to see whatever is lurking in the oceans below.
But on that same alien surface are vast shards and daggers of snow that could destroy any craft that attempted to land there, scientists have warn. Reaching almost 15 metres tall, the blades of sharp ice could be a fatal barrier to any attempt to meet that extra-terrestrial life.
Any potential landing mission would have to navigate those “penitentes” before it could drop onto the surface.

• Students at UC Santa Barbara and elsewhere, headed by UCSB professor, Philip Lubin, are using photonics, i.e.: optical and infrared wavelengths, to search for extraterrestrials, in a project known as the Trillion Planet Survey.
• For the last 50 years, the dominant broadcast signals from Earth were radio, TV and radar so naturally, researchers like those at SETI, have been using powerful radio telescopes to look for similar signals out in the Universe. “In no way are we suggesting that radio SETI should be abandoned in favor of optical SETI,” said lead researcher Andrew Stewart, a student at Emory University. “We just think the optical bands should be explored as well.”
• The photonics that are in development today would be the brightest light in the Universe and therefore, could be seen from across the stars. “[If] the extraterrestrial intelligence’s beam power and diameter are consistent with an Earth-type civilization class, our system will detect this signal,” Stewart said.
• The young scientists are also studying photonic tech developed at UCSB to propel small spacecraft through space at a significant fraction of the speed of light for interstellar missions. That project is being funded by NASA’s Starlight and billionaire Yuri Milner’s Breakthrough Starshot programs.
Combing the Universe for radio signals might not be the only way to search for alien civilisations, according to a team of student researchers from UC Santa Barbara.
The army of students, under the leadership of experimental cosmologist and professor of physics at UCSB Philip Lubin, are using photonics to search for extraterrestrials instead in the Trillion Planet Survey.
For the last 50 years, the dominant broadcast signals from Earth were radio, TV and radar so naturally, researchers like those at SETI, have been using powerful radio telescopes to look for similar signals out in the Universe. But as photonic technology accelerates, scientists are realising that aliens could just as easily be found through optical and infrared wavelengths.

“First and foremost, we are assuming there is a civilization out there of similar or higher class than ours trying to broadcast their presence using an optical beam, perhaps of the ‘directed energy’ arrayed-type currently being developed here on Earth,” said lead researcher Andrew Stewart, a student at Emory University and a member of Lubin’s group, in a statement.
“Second, we assume the transmission wavelength of this beam to be one that we can detect. Lastly, we assume that this beacon has been left on long enough for the light to be detected by us.
“If these requirements are met and the extraterrestrial intelligence’s beam power and diameter are consistent with an Earth-type civilization class, our system will detect this signal.”

Its experts said there is “no precedent for this structured combination of materials” and the “true purpose or function of the material is unknown”. One side of a material sample appears to have been tooled because it has a defined contour. “Researchers also studied people who said they experienced physical effects from encounters with the objects and examined them for physiological changes.”
To The Stars Academy, a group of former secret service, US government workers and scientists, claims to have seven samples from a downed flying saucer.

They also found the material acts as a waveguide for terahertz (electromagnetic waves) frequencies.
