Tom DeLonge Vindicated By Navy Acknowledgement of ‘Unidentified Aerial Phenomena’

• With the Department of Defense’s April 27th release of three US Navy UFO videos, including the infamous ‘Tic Tac’ UFO, Tom Delonge’s (pictured above) ‘To The Stars Academy’ tweeted” “This week, history was made. #Pentagon officially released three Navy videos acknowledging the existence of #UAPs and confirming that footage that was taken by US Navy fighter jets was authentic.” UAPs, or ‘unidentified aerial phenomena’ of course, is military jargon for UFOs.

• After years of denials from the US government, and mockery from the general public,TTSA and DeLonge must be feeling some vindication. Those three ‘UAP’ videos, had originally been shared on TTSA’s website. The Pentagon’s released of the videos has “removed doubt around the authenticity of evidence in the public domain,” DeLonge told the New York Times.

• A founding member of both Blink-182 and Angels and Airwaves, and featured personality on the History Channel’s “Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation,” DeLonge explained his interest in UFOs: “I got to that point where my daughter was 2 years old, and I was gone for two years straight, and I really really needed a break. The only other thing I was ever interested in was UFOs.”

• DeLonge began communicating with and recruiting a research team of strategists and scientists to for the ‘To The Stars Academy’, including ex-military and ex-CIA officials, who also believe that the government should be more forthcoming about information they have about UAPs as it pertains to national security.

• As it pertains to the Pentagon’s “official” release of the UFO videos, DeLonge told the Times, “We believe that this level of recognition is exactly what is required to eliminate the extreme skepticism surrounding UAP events, so we can finally move forward to sharing and analyzing reliable data from respected institutions.”

 

“This week, history was made. #Pentagon officially released three Navy videos acknowledging the existence of #UAPs and confirming that footage that was taken by U.S. Navy fighter jets was authentic,” reads a Tweet from the To the Stars Academy (@TTSAcademy) on Tuesday.

“UAPs,” to those not familiar with Navy jargon, are “unidentified aerial phenomena” — more familiarly known to most as “UFOs,” or “unidentified flying objects.”

To the Stars Academy is, of course, an organization co-founded by Tom DeLonge — the former frontman of Blink-182 — in 2017.

“To the Stars Academy of Arts and Science (TTSA) specializes in creating, acquiring and commercializing science-focused intellectual property within the technology and entertainment verticals,” the academy states on its website. Their offices are based in Encinitas along with a merchandise storefront.

TTSA, and DeLonge specifically, are likely feeling some vindication. After years of skepticism and denials from the U.S. government, and plenty of mockery from the general public, the Pentagon acknowledged the authenticity of three videos and the “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena” captured on those videos, which had originally been shared on TTSA’s website.

• The History Channel documentary series: “Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation” follows former US government worker Luis Elizondo’s quest to expose the truth about UFOs and the threat they could pose to humanity.|

• From 2007 to 2012, Elizondo headed the Pentagon’s top-secret Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), a $22 million project tasked with investigating UFO sightings in the US and the rest of the world. Determined to uncover the truth about aliens and putting his career and credibility on the line, Elizondo quit the government to become a freelance investigator because he believed his colleagues were covering up the true extent of the threat posed by extra-terrestrial lifeforms. Says Elizondo, “Being able to have the conversation now with the American people so they can finally know what’s really going on, I think it’s a great privilege and honor for me.”

• Elizondo is the most significant member of the US Government to publicly say that he thinks aliens are real. He claims that he had no interest in the subject before being assigned to AATIP. Says Elizondo, “I spent most of my life in national security chasing bad guys. I didn’t have any preconceived notions about UFOs.” The evidence uncovered by the Pentagon’s AATIP program was kept in a 600-page “Blue Book”, named after Project Blue Book, the US government UFO study that ran from 1947 to 1969. Elizondo still has a copy of the modern Blue Book, which he keeps at an undisclosed location.

• In the first episode of the documentary series, Elizondo speaks to military personnel who claim to have seen objects from outer space, hoping their testimonies will force the US government to recognize UFOs as a threat to national security, and take action.

• On November 14, 2004, US Navy Commander David Fravor was practicing maneuvers in his fighter jet when he and another navy pilot were redirected by controllers, who said they were needed for a real life mission. Fravor and his colleague thought they were intercepting drug runners coming up from Mexico. But when they got to their destination they saw a 40-foot wingless white object that looked “like a giant tic-tac” hovering above the water. When Fravor flew towards it to get a closer look, the UFO stopped hovering and began rapidly accelerating before crossing the nose of the jet and vanishing.

• Then, Commander Fravor was told to go to a Combat Air Patrol point 60 miles away, but then moments later called it off because the mystery craft was already there. Apparently, the UFO picked up the command and beat the Navy jets to the destination, traveling 60 miles in one minute – or 3,600 miles per hour – far beyond the capabilities of US military jets.

• In 2009, former US military and police sheriff, Larry Gessner, saw a flying saucer hovering above his car. Elizondo points out that “These are not crazy people.” “These are military pilots who have been in combat and something has shaken them up to the stage that they are willing to risk their professional standing by coming forward.” “They were there and they are trained observers. They are people who can think critically.”

• Elizondo shows video footage of the “tic-tac” spacecraft taken from another fighter plane to Colonel Christopher Cooke, a retired officer and expert in military aircraft. The 90-second video shows the circular object flying slowly then zipping away at an altitude of 20,000 feet. Cooke says that “It has no characteristics of any craft I’ve seen.” “It’s staying airborne without wings… the heat from the engine isn’t visible, there’s no plume. There’s no propeller or jet engine to defy gravity.” Colonel Cooke adds: “If there are… aircraft that are doing things aerodynamically that we’ve never even thought of, then we potentially could have real trouble down the road.” Says Commander Fravor, “I’m not saying it was from outer space, but I’m not saying it’s from here either.”

 

On November 14, 2004, US Commander David Fravor was rehearsing manoeuvres in his fighter jet when he found himself at the centre of one of the most significant UFO encounters ever recorded.

While doing his practice flight with another navy pilot, they were redirected by controllers, who said they were needed for a mission.

At first, Commander Fravor and his colleague, who has remained anonymous, thought they were intercepting drug runners coming up from Mexico.

But when they got to their destination they saw a bizarre craft hovering above the water.

Describing it as a wingless white object which looked “like a giant tic-tac” and measured around 40ft, Commander Fravor and his colleague had never seen anything like it.

A man described as having a “fighter instinct”, Commander Fravor directed his jet towards it to get a closer look.

In response, it stopped hovering and began rapidly accelerating, before crossing the nose of the plane and vanishing.

More startling, Commander Fravor was told to go to a Combat Air Patrol point 60 miles away, but then moments later called off because the mystery craft was already there.

This means it was able to fly 60 miles in a minute and would be capable of flying 3,600 miles in an hour – beyond the capabilities of US military planes.

“I’m not saying it was from outer space, but I’m not saying it’s from here either,” says Commander Fravor, who still remains confused by what he witnessed that day.

These events are the focus of the first episode of new documentary series Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation.

• Navy pilots recently interviewed by The New York Times and appearing in the History Channel documentary series: Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation, reported detecting several UFOs during flight training between 2014 and 2015. Their radars detected these UFOs flying at hypersonic speeds at altitudes just over 9000 metres (30,000 feet), despite having no obvious means of propulsion. UFO sightings along the Southeastern US coast and in the Persian Gulf have been reported by six Navy pilots. One of the pilots, Lt. Danny Accoin, said, “It seemed like (the UFOs) were aware of our presence because they would actively move around us.” None of the pilots suggested that the UFOs were alien in origin, however.

• Leon Golub, a senior astrophysicist at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, said the possibility of an extra-terrestrial cause “is so unlikely that it competes with many other low-probability but more mundane explanations,” such as “bugs in the code for the imaging and display systems, atmospheric effects and reflections, neurological overload from multiple inputs during high-speed flight.”

• As a rule, the more mundane explanation for UFO sightings is the logical one. The US Air Force’s Project Blue Book collected more than 12,000 sightings between 1952 and 1969. All but 6% were “explained” astronomical, atmospheric or human phenomena. The US National Science Foundation’s Project Ozma monitored two stars: Tau Ceti and Epsilon Eridani for six hours a day from April to July 1960. No signal was found.

• Seth Shostak, a senior astronomer at the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence Institute (SETI) said the UFOs could be drones from rival countries. Shostak also noted that these pilots began spotting the UFOs after their plane’s radar system was upgraded, which suggests that the sightings might be due to some software bug. SETI began as a government program under NASA, and continued as a private effort in 1993 when funding from the US Congress ended.

• The SETI Institute in a joint project with the University of California, Berkeley, built 42 individual telescopes that function as a single massive instrument to observe up to 1 million nearby stars for radio or optical signals. Dubbed the Allen Telescope Array, it began observations in 2007. Italy’s University of Bologna also has a radio SETI search, and Harvard University in Boston has an optical SETI search. So, while the US Air Force’s detection of UFOs might not be aliens visiting the Earth – the various SETI efforts around the world might just one day lead to such a discovery.

• [Editor’s Note]   Once again, the Deep State institutions are lining up to debunk what Navy pilots are seeing with their own eyes.  Seth Shostak and SETI along with Harvard-Smithsonian, are leading the charge toward abject unenlightenment and disinformation surrounding the extraterrestrial/UFO phenomenon. Despite the overwhelming evidence of UFO’s, or ET-controlled drone UFOs which is most likely, that are routinely operating in our skies, the Deep State is pushing hard to make sure that the mainstream public does not take this seriously, and to disregard it all as a ‘glitch in the technology’. ‘There’s nothing to see here. We have it covered. Move along. Move along.’

 

According to recent media reports, between 2014 and 2015, US Navy pilots detected several Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) during training. Their radars detected these UFOs flying at hypersonic speeds at altitudes just over 9000 metres, despite having no obvious means of propulsion.

In total, six pilots who were stationed on the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt during that time period spotted UFOs during flights along the Southeast coast of the US, The New York Timesreported late last month.

Two of the Navy pilots interviewed by The New York Times have also appeared in the new History Channel documentary series: Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation, which also premiered late last month.

The objects had “no distinct wing, no distinct tail, no distinct exhaust plume,” Lt. Danny Accoin, one of the pilots said. “It seemed like they were aware of our presence because they would actively move around us.”

Accoin had told the Times that although tracking equipment, radar and infrared cameras on his aircraft had detected the UFOs twice, he was unable to capture them on his helmet camera.

Meanwhile, Lt. Ryan Graves, the other pilot featured in the documentary said that a squadron of UFOs followed his Navy strike group up and down the eastern coast of the US for months. After the USS Theodore Roosevelt was deployed to the Arabian Gulf in March 2015, the UFOs reappeared.

Such accounts would surely fire up the imagination of those of us who are fascinated by the thought of extra-terrestrials visiting our planet. However before we get too excited about this prospect, it’s worth noting that none of the pilots interviewed by the Times suggested that the UFOs they detected were alien in origin.

So, what were they? Well, the pilots themselves thought that they might have been part of a highly-classified drone programme using cutting-edge technology. There are other possibilities.

Tom DeLonge: America Has Been Investigating UFOs for Years. Time For the Rest of Us to Catch Up

• When Tom DeLonge was touring with his band, Blink-182, during the early 1990’s, he read Timothy Good’s book, ‘Above Top Secret’, which detailed a historical chronology of UFO events. Learning that UFOs and extraterrestrials were for real changed the course of Tom’s life. He became consumed with it. ‘Who or what are they? Who actually knows the facts and holds the most credible evidence?’ He began to weed through what was real and what was disinformation.

• Tom studied accounts of UFOs during World War II, and the societal changes that began in 1947 when thousands of people began to witness ‘flying saucers’ in the sky. He saw how the public accepted the government’s cover-up of the phenomenon with decades of denial and ridicule. Still, Tom’s conclusion was that it would be naïve to think that UFOs don’t exist. “[T]he more I’ve been able to share my ideas with people I respected, the more sense of community I felt. And I want other people to feel that way too,” says DeLonge.

• More recently, Tom began regular communications with people at the highest levels of our intelligence agencies and military branches, and was encouraged to create the To The Stars Academy of Arts & Science (TTSA). TTSA is an organization that promotes the truth about UFOs and the extraterrestrial presence through a combination of scientific research, entertainment, and innovations in aerospace engineering, utilizing as members some of the most experienced, connected, and passionately curious minds from the U.S. intelligence community that have been operating under the shadows of top-secrecy for decades.

• TTSA has now partnered with HISTORY (formerly the History Channel) to produce “Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation TM.” This six part, non-fiction series premiering on Friday, May 31 st will give the public an opportunity to see newly authenticated evidence and footage; learn the common characteristics of how these UAP move and operate; and see interviews from eyewitnesses and former military personnel who have never spoken out before. This series will hopefully spark the public to ask questions and look for answers. This information impacts not only our perception of who we are as human beings but also our understanding of where we’re going and how we treat each other. And that might be the greatest change of all.

 

About 25 years ago, I read a non-fiction book about UFOs while on tour with Blink-182 that blew my mind.
This was a time before smartphones, so being on a tour bus for weeks on end meant we were forced to keep ourselves occupied if we were bored. I chose to read. Timothy Good’s Above Top Secret detailed a historical chronology of UFO events in conjunction with domestic and foreign space programs and militaries. It wasn’t just a solitary event, but a chain of occurrences. I remember repeating as I was reading, “Oh my god, this is massive.” I probably annoyed the hell out of my bandmates.

Before reading that book, I thought the idea of E.T. and unknown flying vehicles were confined to the realm of science-fiction, which I’d always loved as a kid. But I had no idea these crafts were real and in fact interacting with nuclear missiles, NASA missions and facilities, astronauts, and even civilians.

The book opened my eyes to the enormity of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP), filling me with curiosity and propelling me on a hunt for knowledge that quite literally changed the course of my life. I became consumed with questions about UAP: How do they travel at such incredible speeds? Who or what are they? Who actually knows the facts and holds the most credible evidence?

I followed many paths of discovery in the field—some peculiar, but all exciting. Back then, I was young and naive, and had trouble separating fact from fiction. As any serious researcher will tell you, UAP and its attendant fields are filled with truly crazy misinformation from countless unreliable characters.

As a result, I undertook the project of seeking out legitimate sources, and learned that for most of history, people thought it was crazy to even think about the possibility of UAP. Things briefly started to change after 1947, when numerous people, both pedestrian and high-level military and government personnel, started witnessing unidentified objects in the sky; military pilots, U.S. presidents, scientists, doctors, lawyers, farmers, politicians, teachers, and children.

Unidentified Review: History Series Takes UFOs to a New Level of Credibility

• ‘History’ (formerly ‘The History Channel’) is set to debut its new six-part docuseries entitled: ‘Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation’. The show basically follows the ongoing investigations by Tom DeLonge’s ‘To The Stars Academy of Arts and Sciences’ (TTSA), and introduce the Academy members as credible investigators and witnesses. With a former career intelligence officer (Luis Elizondo), a former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence (Chris Mellon), and multiple jet fighter pilots (David Fravor, et al), it becomes clear that research into what the hell UFOs are is more legit than ever.

• TTSA was formed in the fall of 2017. Elizondo left his Pentagon position and joined the TTSA team saying that the Department of Defense (DoD) was not taking the subject of UFOs seriously enough. They made a name for themselves in December 2017 when their efforts resulted in the New York Times revealing the Pentagon’s ‘Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program’ (AATIP) and releasing Navy cockpit video of UFO, including the infamous “Tic Tac” UFO from 2004. History’s Unidentified intends to provide insight into AATIP investigations and TTSA’s more recent discoveries.

• The first episode will review in detail this 2004 incident where F-18 fighter jets from the US Navy’s Nimitz carrier group off of San Diego encountered the remarkable maneuvering of a 40-foot long ‘Tic Tac’ UFO. The wingmate of the F-18 piloted by Commander David Fravor when they encountered the ‘Tic Tac’ UFO – who has declined any public interviews thus far – will give her own testimony in the initial episode regarding the incident.

• Unidentified has a similar feel as other investigation focused reality shows. But instead of wild speculation or leaps in logic that strain credulity, Unidentified offers a more grounded perspective on a topic that the general public typically regarded as “out of this world.”

• “Both Chris Mellon and Lou Elizondo are closely involved with what’s going on inside the Pentagon over the course of this last year,” said Executive Producer Anthony Lappe. “They consider that Navy announcement (on new UFO reporting procedures) to be a huge victory for sort of everything they’ve been doing behind the scenes and we were able to chronicle that.”

• Another episode will focus on the 1980 UFO incident on a U.S Air Force base in the Rendlesham Forest, in England. Elizondo says that there will be other astounding cases presented from the AATIP files that have not yet been made public.

 

The first episode of Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation on History Channel uses a familiar format to deliver an unprecedented investigation. UFO reality shows have come and gone, but what makes Unidentified unique is the credibility of the show’s investigators and witnesses. From a former career intelligence officer, a former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence, and multiple jet fighter pilots, it becomes clear that research into what the hell UFOs are is more legit than ever.

Unidentified follows the ongoing UFO investigations of Luis Elizondo and To The Stars Academy (TTSA). Elizondo is a former intelligence officer who resigned in October 2017. That same month, former Blink-182 frontman Tom DeLonge announced the creation of TTSA, an organization focused on researching the unknown with an impressive list of members. Elizondo was on that list. During the press conference announcing TTSA, Elizondo claimed he left his job at the Pentagon because one of his posts entailed researching military UFO cases and he felt the Department of Defense (DoD) was not taking the subject seriously enough.

The following December, the New York Times, followed by Politico and The Washington Post, published articles providing more insight into Elizondo’s former UFO program, called the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP). The story garnered headlines around the world and created public interests into the nature of the secretive Pentagon project. History’s Unidentified intends to provide insight into AATIP investigations and TTSA’s more recent discoveries.

Unidentified will be a six-part series. The first episode introduces us to the TTSA team members and covers a fantastic UFO encounter as told by the witness, all of whom were on active duty with the Navy when the contacts took place.

The New York Times article that broke the AATIP story also included details about one of the most exciting AATIP cases. Over several days in November of 2004, the Nimitz Aircraft Carrier Strike Group captured objects on radar that performed unusual maneuvers. During a training exercise, several F-18 jet fighters were diverted to get a closer look at one of the objects. Commander David Fravor got the best view. He describes seeing an object that looked like a 40-foot-long white Tic Tac that performed remarkable maneuvers. This case, also covered by Den of Geek, is reviewed in detail in the first episode of Unidentified.

These 5 UFO Traits, Seen by Navy Fighters, Defy Explanation

• Luis Elizondo, the former DoD intelligence officer who headed up the Pentagon’s Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) until 2012, is now an investigator with Tom DeLonge’s ‘To The Stars Academy’ and is featured on HISTORY’s new television program (ie: the History Channel), “Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation”.

• It was Elizondo and the ‘To The Stars Academy’ that were integral in bringing to the public the ‘Tic Tac’ UFO Navy cockpit video from 2004, with USS Nimitz-based pilots’ comments that included, “Holy sh*t, what is that?”, and “It’s white. It has no wings. It has no rotors,” and “It didn’t fly like an aircraft. It was so unpredictable.”

• When Elizondo ran the DoD’s AATIP, he compiled a list of extraordinary, logic-defying capabilities most commonly associated with unidentified aerial phenomena sightings. Here are Elizondo’s “five observables”:

1) Anti-gravity lift – UAPs (Unidentified Ariel Phenomenon) have no visible means of propulsion and lack flight surfaces such as wings – thus the tubular, ‘Tic Tac’ description.

2) Sudden and instantaneous acceleration – UAPs will accelerate or change direction so quickly that no human pilot could survive the g-forces.

3) Hypersonic velocities without signatures – Aircraft traveling faster than the speed of sound will typically leave a “signature” like vapor trails and sonic booms. UAPs don’t.

4) Low observability or cloaking – Witnesses to a UAP will usually only see a glow or haze around them.

5) Trans-medium travel – UAPs have been seen moving in and between different environments, such as space, the earth’s atmosphere and even water. USS Princeton radar operator Gary Vorhees later confirmed from a Navy sonar operator in the area that day that a craft was moving faster than 70 knots underwater, roughly two times the speed of nuclear subs.

• UAPs’ origins are still unknown. Are they a super-top-secret U.S. defense project? Do they hail from Russia? China? Or from even further afield? The only thing we do know is that their capabilities exceed any technologies currently in the U.S. arsenal.

 

You know a UFO has earned its “unidentified” status when cockpit transcripts from elite Navy fighter jets include this frantic pilot exclamation: “Holy s___, what is that?”

When Luis Elizondo ran a small team at the U.S. Department of Defense investigating military-based reports of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), he heard numerous such accounts—by some of the most highly trained aeronautic experts in the military. They describe objects that appeared to be intelligently controlled, possessing aerodynamic capabilities that far surpass any currently known aircraft technology.

Now pursuing his investigations as part of To the Stars Academy of Arts & Sciences, Elizondo is an integral part of the investigative team featured on HISTORY’s “Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation,” where they have continued to gather eyewitness accounts:

“It’s white. It has no wings. It has no rotors.”

“It didn’t fly like an aircraft. It was so unpredictable—high g, rapid velocity, rapid acceleration.”

“I didn’t see a trail.”

History Orders UFO Docu-Series from Tom DeLonge

• The History Channel, along with A+E Originals, has announced it has ordered a six-episode, one-hour limited television docu-series entitled: “Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation” to debut in May. The show’s executive producer is Tom DeLonge (pictured above) of the ‘To The Stars Academy of Arts & Science’, along with ‘To The Stars’ team members Luis Elizondo and Chris Mellon who are among its roster of scientists, engineers and intelligence experts. The UFO docu-series will “reveal newly authenticated evidence and footage, interviews from eyewitnesses and former military personnel who have never spoken out before and extensive breakthroughs in understanding the technology behind these unknown phenomena in our skies,” says DeLonge.

• Former DIA military intelligence official Luis Elizondo and former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense and Intelligence Chris Mellon were instrumental in the release of a New York Times’ exposé about the Pentagon’s secret UFO research program, the ‘Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program’, in December 2017, along with several authentic videos of UFO encounters by the US military.

• “This is not a UFO hunting show,” said Eli Lehrer, Executive Vice President and Head of Programming at the History Channel, “but a series that will hopefully provoke a cultural conversation about unexplained phenomena and allow our viewers to ultimately draw their own conclusions. The team will spearhead the disclosure of efforts being made to change government policy surrounding UFOs, and produce tangible evidence for the existence of UFOs ever assembled.
