Bizarre Booms are Back in San Diego and New Jersey

• Northern New Jersey is hearing regular booming sounds, while San Diego is experiencing ground-shaking explosions that no one, including the military, can explain.

• A NJ man recorded a flash of light right before the boom on his home video surveillance camera.

 

The big, bizarre booms are back in New Jersey after barely a week of respite, while residents of San Diego County in California are wondering how many more times this year they’re going to have to put up with mysterious ground-shaking explosions that no one in positions of authority can seem to explain. It’s tough to point fingers when they’re plugging your ears but let’s see who the culprits might be. (Don’t start shouting “Aliens!” … yet.)

According to the local Patch.com site, residents of Bridgewater in Somerset County, New Jersey, reported hearing a loud boom on the night of November 1st at around 8:30. The Bridgewater Police reportedly received numerous calls but no cause was immediately determined. However, resident Philip Vicari checked his home video surveillance camera and found a recording of a flash of light right before the boom. As of this writing, no official explanation has been given.

That’s disconcerting for New Jersey residents who are still waiting for an explanation for a mysterious boom on October 24th at about 10:30 am in Wildwood on the far southeastern coast. The U.S. Geological Survey reported no seismic activity at the time and the military gave no indication that it was responsible or knew the cause.

The latest Jersey boom was followed a day later by another mysterious morning explosion in San Diego County. Again reported by Patch.com (the up-and-coming go-to news source for all things boomish), the November 2nd blast was heard across the densely populated California county with the majority of the reports coming from the eastern and southern portions. Eyewitnesses compared the sound to someone walking on the roof but were more concerned about the shaking, which ranged in intensity from a semi-truck passing to an earthquake.

Consciousness Doesn’t Reside in the Brain or Same Dimension

Do you know you are a multidimensional being? Your body isn’t big enough to contain you.

In recently published research produced by a team from the Blue Brain Project, neuroscientists applied a classic branch of math called algebraic topology in a whole new way to peer into the brain, discovering it contains groups of neurons.

Each neuron group, according to size, forms its own high-dimensional geometric object. “We found a world that we had never imagined,” says lead researcher, neuroscientist Henry Markram from the EPFL institute in Switzerland. “There are tens of millions of these objects even in a small speck of the brain, up through seven dimensions. In some networks, we even found structures with up to eleven dimensions.”

And that’s just so far. The Swiss research initiative is devoted to building a supercomputer-powered reconstruction of the human brain.

As to the complexity of the brain and why so much of it remains a mystery, “The mathematics usually applied to study networks cannot detect the high-dimensional structures and spaces that we now see clearly.”

What consciousness is and where it resides is still only theory to date. In the September 2017 issue of NeuroQuantology, a peer-reviewed journal of neuroscience and quantum physics published a groundbreaking paper that could accelerate science’s understanding of consciousness:

Our brain is not a “stand alone” information processing organ: it acts as a central part of our integral nervous system with recurrent information exchange with the entire organism and the cosmos. In this study, the brain is conceived to be embedded in a holographic structured field that interacts with resonant sensitive structures in the various cell types in our body.

Essentially, Dr. Dirk K.F. Meijer, a professor at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, hypothesizes that consciousness resides in a field surrounding the brain in another dimension. The entire body is a conduit and a collaborator with consciousness as a feedback loop.

If you enjoy science, just reading the abstract will leave you breathless and thrilled to see science is catching up with what the indigenous, sages, and mystics have known for thousands of years.

The Power of Direct Experience

So, how did past and present “seers” come to understand consciousness before science?

It’s through direct experience by connecting with higher fields of consciousness, i.e., Universal Consciousness coupled with the observation of Nature that one can begin to see life’s bigger picture.

Declassified CIA Document Shows Real UFOs Were Spotted Flying Over Deception Island, Antarctica

  • Go to the CIA’s electronic reading room and type in the word “UFO,” and you’ll see there is no shortage of documents that span not only the CIA’s website, but on a global scale. Hundreds of thousands of pages of de-classified documents show, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that intelligence agencies and global militaries have an extremely high interest in the UFO phenomenon, and have had this interest for a very long time.

  • One CIA document dating back to 1965 states: “A group of red, green, and yellow flying saucers has been seen flying over Deception Island for two hours by Argentine, Chilean and British (military) bases in Antarctica. The flying saucers were also seen flying in formation over the South Orkney islands in quick circles.”
  • We now know that groups like the CIA have been putting a tremendous amount of resources into studying this topic, and it makes you wonder, what type of information do they have now, more than five decades later?

  • This information is most likely locked up in Special Access Programs (SAPs), within the Black-Budget (containing unacknowledged and waived SAPs). These programs do not exist publicly, but they do indeed exist. They are better known as ‘deep black programs.’

  • Multiple high ranking people from various fields, including those from within the intelligence/military community, have flat out said on multiple occasions that these agencies are aware of multiple races that have made contact with the human race.

 

The third director of the post-World War II United States Central Intelligence Group (CIG), the third director of Central Intelligence (DCI), and the very first director of the Central Intelligence Agency, Roscoe H. Hillenkoetter, once told the world, via the New York Times in 1960,  that, “behind the scenes, high ranking Air Force officers are soberly concerned about UFOs,” and that, “through official secrecy and ridicule, many citizens are led to believe the unknown flying objects are nonsense.”

The key words are here are “official secrecy and ridicule,” which is why, for so many years, you were perceived as a crazy person at the slightest mention of UFOs, let alone intelligent extraterrestrial life.

Today, however, it’s a much different story. Hundreds of thousands of pages of de-classified documents show, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that intelligence agencies and global militaries have an extremely high interest in the UFO phenomenon, and have had this interest for a very long time.

For example, just go to the CIA’s Freedom of Information Act electronic reading room, and type in the word “UFO,” and you’ll see for yourself. There is no shortage of interesting documents that span not only the CIA’s website, but on a global scale.

“Everything is in a process of investigation both in the United States and in Spain, as well as the rest of the world. The nations of the world are currently working together in the investigation of the UFO phenomenon. There is an international exchange of data.” – General Carlos Castro Cavero (1979).

On top of documents, their release has sparked a number of high-ranking officials from various fields, from top military brass, politicians, and credible figures from within academia, astronauts and more. Here’s one of hundreds of statements.

“There is a serious possibility that we are being visited and have been visited for many years by people from outer space, from other civilizations. That it behooves us, in case of these people in the future or now should turn hostile, to find out who they are, where they come from, and what they want. This should be the subject of rigorous scientific investigation and not the subject of ‘rubishing’ by tabloid newspapers.” – Lord Admiral Hill-Norton, Former Chief of Defence Staff, 5 Star Admiral of the Royal Navy, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee

The Document Referencing Red, Green & Yellow “Flying Saucers”

This document, straight from the CIA , relays several pieces of information, with the part about these UFOs highlighted in brackets, which suggests special attention paid to it. It goes to show just how interested, and how important this topic is within the intelligence community. They’ve been studying it for years under the guise of “national security,” a term now used to classify everything, and protect the interests of the global elite as well as allow them to basically do whatever they please, with justification.

It states as follows:

“ANTARCTIC FLYING SAUCERS” – A group of red, green, and yellow flying saucers has been seen flying over Deception Island for two hours by Argentine, Chilean and British bases (military) in Antarctica. The flying saucers were also seen flying in formation over the South Orkney islands in quick circles.”  What’s even more interesting is that this document is more than five decades old, dating back to 1965.

It’s also interesting, given the lore that surrounds Antarctica,  and possible extra-dimensional/terrestrial beings.

It highlights one of the main questions that the release of these documents have raised: we now know that groups like the CIA have been putting a tremendous amount of resources into studying this topic, and it makes you wonder, what type of information do they have now, more than five decades later? What have they found out with regard to who/what are operating these things, how they work, where they come from, and what their intentions are?

They are better known as ‘deep black programs.’ A 1997 US Senate report described them as “so sensitive that they are exempt from standard reporting requirements to the Congress.”

Judging by the fact that there is substantial evidence that the Germans were making flying saucers as far back as 1941, as well as other countries, could these particular “flying saucers” be crafted by another country? Perhaps manufactured by the Germans, soviets, China, or whoever, to conduct reconnaissance missions over other countries’ military installations?

‘AI may replace humans’ & become new form of life – Stephen Hawking

• In response to the recent publicity of the advent of ultra-realistic humanoid robots, famous mainstream scientist Stephen Hawking warns that robots could one day replicate themselves, out-perform humans, become a new life form and entirely edge out human beings. Last year Hawkings said that humanity has only about 100 years left on this fragile planet and we all need to find another planet to inhabit. “We are in danger of self-destructing.”

• Hawkings suggests that humankind needs to come up with a space program to colonize suitable planets for habitation.

• [Editor’s Note] Stephen Hawking must know more than he is letting on. He must know that the AI threat is real, that we already have a space program that is colonizing off planet worlds, and that humanity is indeed in danger of self-destruction. This must be his way of letting us know that he knows through a soft disclosure.

 

One day robots could entirely edge out human beings and become a new life form that is even capable of replicating itself, Stephen Hawking has warned, once again predicting a rather grim future for humankind.

“I fear that AI may replace humans altogether,” the renowned physicist told Wired magazine, as cited by the Cambridge News. “If people design computer viruses, someone will design AI that improves and replicates itself. This will be a new form of life that outperforms humans,” Hawking added.

However, humanity itself has already reached “the point of no return”and may destroy itself first, the 75-year-old academic predicts. “Our earth is becoming too small for us, global population is increasing at an alarming rate and we are in danger of self-destructing.”

To avoid this apocalyptic scenario, Hawking suggests that mankind should come up with a space program “with a view to eventually colonizing suitable planets for human habitation.”

This is not the first time Hawking has spoken about the potential threat of robots becoming self-conscious and exceeding human intelligence. Last year, he warned the AI “could develop a will of its own – a will that is in conflict with ours,” adding that the rise of machines could become “either the best, or the worst thing, ever to happen to humanity.”

How Some of the World’s Elite Use Black Magic Rituals to Conjure Up Entities for More Power

• Ceremonial magic is the use of rituals and techniques to invoke and control “spirits” or lifeforms that exist in other dimensions or worlds.

• The ancient Greek scholar Socrates spoke of an entity that guided him through a inner voice. Socrates believed it to be a link between mortal man and God. His communication with this entity was actually used as one of the charges against him when he was put to death.

• In the 16th century, the German Renaissance alchemist Johannes Faust claimed to have used magic to conjure an extra-demensional being that served him for many years.

• In the 19th century, Napoleon Bonaparte was guided periodically by a “spirit”he called the “Little Man of Destiny”, with disasterous results according to mystic scholor, Manly Hall.

• There is abundant evidence that native civilizations in Central and South America regularly used both the black and white magic.

• White magic deals with the noble and morally pure, and cannot be used to accomplish selfish ends. Ego, greed, and personal desire have no place in white magic.

• Black magic, on the other hand, uses inverted symbolism, taking pure symbols with noble meanings and perverting them. Inverted symbolism seems to be the way to invoke spirits for malevolent purposes.

• Manly Hall wrote: “By means of the secret processes of ceremonial magic it is possible to contact these invisible creatures and gain their help in some human undertaking. Good spirits willingly lend their assistance to any worthy enterprise, but evil spirits serve only those who live to pervert and destroy. . . . The most dangerous form of black magic is the scientific perversion of occult power for the gratification of personal desire.”

• Among the information uncovered by Wikileaks was an invitation to Clinton campaign chairman, John Podesta, to attend a “Spirit Cooking Dinner”. This was a dark sacrament practiced by Aleister Crowley in which a “Cake of Light”, that included honey, oil, menstrual blood and sperm, would be baked and eaten.

• The global elite have always existed, from the aristocracy of ancient Greece and Rome, to the church of the middle ages, to modern politics. Perhaps these ceremonies and rituals at the upper levels go far beyond what anyone can imagine. Perhaps these families have indeed continued to preserve their stranglehold over the human race, flooding us with misinformation, controlling our perception of the world.

• When we consider the reality of MK Ultra and other forms of mind control, the use of ceremonial magic for perverse reasons by the elite, as claimed by insiders, is really not that far-fetched.

• Those who we consider our leaders could all be guided by ‘spirits’ from places we have yet to learn about. And as a result, the massive manipulation of humanity could be guided by these ‘demonic’ entities.

• The seventh Vice President of the United States, John C. Calhoun, was one of many who tried to tell the world “a power has risen up in the government greater than the people themselves, consisting of many, and various, and powerful interests, combined into one mass, and held together by the cohesive power of the vast surplus in the banks.”

• The “Father of Public Relations”, Edward Bernays, said “Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of.”

• Observing what’s happened this past year in Western politics was enough to see how much of a joke this whole system is. We cannot continually look to others to solve our problems; we must solve them ourselves. If these people are really involved in using ceremonial magic and sorcery to influence their decisions and the direction the human race takes, then obviously this needs to be exposed and these people need to be removed.

• Our human connection to spirit is strong. There are positive entities that dwell in other worlds that can assist us, but not for our own material desires that stem from human greed, ego, and ignorance. If your heart is pure, your intentions are good, and if you would like to use manifestation for the goodwill of the whole, then you need not fear acknowledging this realm.

What is ceremonial magic? The works of multiple scholars, from Plato to Manly P. Hall and further down the line, suggest it is essentially the use of rituals and techniques to invoke and control “spirits” or lifeforms that could be existing within other dimensions or worlds. For example, according to Hall, “a magician, enveloped in sanctified vestments and carrying a wand inscribed with hieroglyphic figures, could by the power vested in certain words and symbols control the invisible inhabitants of the elements and of the astral world. While the elaborate ceremonial magic of antiquity was not necessarily evil, there arose from its perversion several false schools of sorcery, or black magic.”

Yet if we examine the works of Plato, we see he specifically condemns, both in the Laws and in the Republic, the idea that “gods” can be influenced by the performance of certain rituals — called “necromancy” or “magical attack.” He believed those who try to control the spirit world should be penalized.

Socrates, about whom Plato wrote much, also spoke of an entity that guided him. It was never given a name, but references to it ranged from daemon to daimon. Socrates believed this entity was a gift, and manifested itself in the form of the voice within, something we all possess. His communication with this entity was actually used as one of the charges against him when he was put to death. Socrates believed it to be a link between mortal man and God.

Socrates seems to be an exception when it comes to using these concepts for perverse reasons, and, as Hall points out, he provided evidence that “the intellectual and moral status of the magician has much to do with the type of elemental he is capable of invoking. But even the daemon of Socrates deserted the philosopher when the sentence of death was passed.”

He was put to death for “corrupting the youth” and spreading “false” information amongst the people, but looking back, he seems to be a figure more like our modern day revolutionaries than a malevolent influence, put to death for exposing the aristocracy’s secrets and encouraging people to question the true nature of reality, to question the doctrine that had been provided to the masses by those in power.

There are also native records containing abundant evidence that the civilizations of Central and South America were heavily involved in these types of arts, both black and white magics. This is well documented in the Popuol Vuh.

If such information is true, it’s hardly surprising. Human beings have always been subject to the lure of power, driven by their ego, greed, and shortsightedness. It’s disconcerting to imagine this power of working with the spirit world in the hands of those who would use it for their own reasons, taken by the power of black magic.

Fast forward to our modern day, and you have stories like that of Dr. Johannes Faust. Through his study of magic, he was able to conjure up an extra-dimensional who served him for many years is several different ways. There is even an excerpt from The Book of Dr. Faust, Wittenberg, 1524 describing his experience.

Napoleon Bonaparte, the French military and political leader, is another example. He used to tell of a “Little Red Man of Destiny,” a ‘spirit’ that appeared at a Royal Palace. Apparently when something important was happening, he would appear. This man, and what others now consider to be silly superstitions and folklore beliefs, genuinely influenced Napoleon and his actions and guided his campaigns.

According to Hall, The Little Red Man of Destiny is an example “of the disastrous results of permitting elemental beings to dictate the course of human procedure.”

Phenomena like these appear in various cultures during different time periods all throughout human history, so what makes us think these practices have stopped today?

There is even a modus operandi for the invocation of spirits in various texts, one being The Complete Book of Magic Science that, according to Hall, was first published in the original British Museum. This is also mentioned by other studies of occult philosophy, like Francis Barret in his Magus, where he describes the use of symbols and more things relating to the occult.

Living creatures existing in a world we cannot perceive have been the subject of lore dating back countless years. It’s embedded in the stories and passed down orally, and written about in multiple religious texts like the Bible and the Quran. I am not referring to extraterrestrial beings in this case, but rather to beings existing in realms indistinguishable to our senses.

Black vs. White Magic

A distinction is made early in the article about black magic and white magic. Basically, black magic is the process of using entities to accomplish a goal through ceremonial magic.

Hall writes: “By means of the secret processes of ceremonial magic it is possible to contact these invisible creatures and gain their help in some human undertaking. Good spirits willingly lend their assistance to any worthy enterprise, but evil spirits serve only those who live to pervert and destroy. . . . The most dangerous form of black magic is the scientific perversion of occult power for the gratification of personal desire.”

According to scholars of various philosophies, there occurred, long ago, a systematic destruction of all keys to wisdom, so that no one else could have access to the knowledge. Whoever did it completely inverted the rituals of the ancient mysteries while claiming to preserve them, believing what they did was the right thing to do.

Magic also uses symbols and sacred geometry. Black magic, on the other hand, uses inverted symbolism, taking pure symbols with noble meanings and perverting them. Inverted symbolism seems to be the way to invoke spirits for malevolent purposes.

“They mutilated the rituals of the Mysteries while professing to preserve them, so that even though the neophyte passed through the degrees (Free-Masonry) he could not secure the knowledge to which he was entitled. Idolatry was introduced by encouraging the worship of the images which in the beginning the wise had erected solely as symbols for study and meditation. False interpretations were given to the emblems and figures of the Mysteries, and elaborate theologies were created to confuse the minds of their devotees. ”

It appears there were many black magicians throughout history who strayed from the noble concepts that underly the core of spirituality and working with the spirit world.

White magic, on the other hand, deals with the noble, the morally pure, and cannot be used to accomplish selfish ends. Ego, greed, and personal desire have no place in white magic.
I agree with Socrates that the concepts of white magic exist within all of us and can be used as powerful tools of manifestation, provided one is pure in their heart and intention. It’s simple, and cannot be used as a means to an end, or to fulfil a specific personal desire.
Today?

This revelation brought to light something that could still be happening among some of today’s One Percent, who completely control almost every single aspect of our lives, from health and finance to politics and education.

I do believe politicians and other public figures are involved in these types of things, for various reasons, but I also believe they rank low in the hierarchy, and that perhaps these ceremonies and rituals at the upper levels go far beyond what anyone can imagine.

I also believe the pure teachings of the ages to be preserved by those with good intentions rather than evil. If you are scoffing at the idea of duality, I also believe that dark and light can exist within one space. So I do see the merits to the duality argument, but I also see the merits to the opposite. They are one and the same.

It was only a couple of months ago when the Wikileaks dump on John Podesta, the head of Clinton’s presidential campaign and former White House Chief of Staff for Bill Clinton, revealed that Podesta was invited to a “Spirit Cooking dinner” by artists Marina Abramovic.

Apparently, “the origins of Spirit Cooking can be found in Cake of Light, a sacrament in the religion of Thelema which was founded by Aleister Crowley. The ingredients of the Cake of Light include honey, oil, menstrual blood and sperm. The sacrament is meant to symbolize the union between the microcosm, Man, and the macrocosm, the Divine, which is a representation of one of the prime maxims in Hermeticism ‘As Above, So Below.’ The consumption of the Cake of Light is a fulfillment of the sacred circle of the connection between Man and the Divine. ”

Revelations like these, and the ceremonies that have been caught on tape, have people asking questions. If we follow traditions throughout the ages, we see accounts of this type of activity in literature and personal accounts. The global elite have always existed, whether it be the aristocracy in ancient Greece and Rome, the church in the middle ages and beyond, or politics today. Perhaps these families have indeed continued to preserve their stranglehold over the human race, flooding us with misinformation, controlling our perception of the world, and dictating what type of life we should desire. We are like robots, encouraged to fit the mould and do the same things. There is a complete control over the human race, and to think that Black Magic could be used to control the masses, as Hall points out, is disturbing.

If history is any indication, this is still going on today. And whenever those who are believed to participate in this type of thing are asked, this and this are usually the result.
Why is it so hard to believe? Perhaps because our understanding of the limits of reality is controlled by the very same people accused of these practises.

• Since the end of WWII the CIA has been a major force in US and foreign news media, exerting considerable influence over what the public sees, hears and reads on a regular basis. This practice is at least as widespread today as it was at the height of the Cold War.

• In an era where information and communication technologies are ubiquitous, prompting many to harbor the illusion of being well-informed, US journalists routinely fail to question other deep events that have shaped America’s history over the past half century.

• Reasons for the almost universal failure of mainstream journalism, include newsroom sociology, advertising pressure, monopoly ownership, heavy reliance on “official” sources, journalists’ quest for career advancement, professional public relations maneuvers, and the CIA’s continued involvement in the news media to mold thought and opinion.

• After WWII, OSS/CIA head Frank Wisner tapped Marshall Plan funds to pay for his division’s early exploits, money his branch referred to as “candy.” “We couldn’t spend it all.” “There were no limits, and nobody had to account for it.”

• By the mid-to-late 1950s, the CIA sought to limit criticism directed against covert activity, and bypass congressional oversight or potential judicial interference, by infiltrating academia, the missionary corps, the editorial boards of influential journal and book publishers, and any other quarters where public attitudes could be effectively influenced.

• Since the early 1950s the CIA “has secretly bankrolled numerous foreign press services, periodicals and newspapers—both English and foreign language—which provided excellent cover for CIA operatives.”

• Director of CBS William Paley’s personal friendship with CIA Director Dulles is now known to have been one of the most influential and significant in the communications industry. Paley provided cover for CIA agents, supplied out-takes of news film, permitted the debriefing of reporters, allowed the agency to utilize network resources and personnel, and in many ways set the standard for the cooperation between the CIA and major broadcast companies which lasted until the mid-1970s.

• The CIA developed similar relationships with major media outlets including the NY Times, the Washington Post, the National Enquirer, Time magazine, Life magazine, Newsweek magazine, ABC, NBC, the Associated Press, UPI, Reuters, Hearst Newspapers, Scripps-Howard.

• James Angleton, who oversaw the CIA’s counterintelligence branch for 25 years, ran an entirely separate cadre of journalist-operatives who performed sensitive and frequently dangerous assignments. The CIA conducted a “formal training program” during the 1950s for the sole purpose of instructing its agents to function as newsmen.

• When NY Times reporter Tom Wicker reported that JFK was shot from the front in the throat, contradicting the subsequent “official” story, he and his article were chastised and smeared out of existence.

• News outlets praised the Warren Reports findings that lone gunman Oswald killed Kennedy, and heavily criticized and ridiculed Jim Garrison’s investigation of the assassination.

• When L. Fletcher Prouty wrote a book on the CIA’s black operations and espionage, a campaign was waged to remove the book from libraries, force the publishers to cancel publication, and to diminish book sales around the world.

• The CIA did a similar smear job on Gary Webb’s books chronicling the agency’s involvement in drug trafficking in the 1970’s and 80’s, even though the CIA inspector general upheld the findings of CIA involvement.

• German journalist Udo Ulfkotte related that the CIA’s pressure was so great that he published articles under his own name, but written by agents of the CIA and the German secret service.

• The CIA routinely influences movie directors and producers to give the CIA a favorable image.

• CNN anchor Anderson Cooper interned for the CIA while attending Yale as an undergraduate in the late 1980s.

• In 1999 the CIA established In-Q-Tel to establish financial relationships with internet platforms Americans use on a routine basis, including Google and Facebook.

• In the summer of 2014 a $600 million computing cloud was developed by Amazon Web Services on behalf of the CIA to service all 17 federal agencies comprising the American intelligence community.

 

James F. Tracy is a PhD from the University of Iowa. A former professor of communications at Boca Raton, Florida Atlantic University. He is one of many critical thinkers within the world of academia, and as result of presenting the following information that might spark some cognitive dissonance, he has been singled out due to his activism efforts.

For example, he was fired from his tenured professorship at Florida Atlantic University for questioning official narratives of terror events. Now, his Blog has been taken down by WordPress with no clear explanation.

Tracy is well researched, and now reports on several different matters of escalating importance. Below is an article he wrote in August of 2015, and is relevant today given all of the “fake news” campaigns that have been directed against alternative media.

When seriously practiced, the journalistic profession involves gathering information concerning individuals, locales, events, and issues. In theory such information informs people about their world, thereby strengthening “democracy.” This is exactly the reason why news organizations and individual journalists are tapped as assets by intelligence agencies and, as the experiences of German journalist Udo Ulfkotte (entry 47 below) suggest, this practice is at least as widespread today as it was at the height of the Cold War.

Consider the coverups of election fraud in 2000 and 2004, the events of September 11, 2001, the invasions Afghanistan and Iraq, the destabilization of Syria, and the creation of “ISIS.” These are among the most significant events in recent world history, and yet they are also those much of the American public is wholly ignorant of. In an era where information and communication technologies are ubiquitous, prompting many to harbor the illusion of being well-informed, one must ask why this condition persists.

Further, why do prominent US journalists routinely fail to question other deep events that shape America’s tragic history over the past half century, such as the political assassinations of the 1960s, or the central role played by the CIA major role in international drug trafficking?

Popular and academic commentators have suggested various reasons for the almost universal failure of mainstream journalism in these areas, including newsroom sociology, advertising pressure, monopoly ownership, news organizations’ heavy reliance on “official” sources, and journalists’ simple quest for career advancement. There is also, no doubt, the influence of professional public relations maneuvers. Yet such a broad conspiracy of silence suggests another province of deception examined far too infrequently—specifically the CIA and similar intelligence agencies’ continued involvement in the news media to mold thought and opinion in ways scarcely imagined by the lay public.

The following historical and contemporary facts–by no means exhaustive–provides a glimpse of how the power such entities possess to influence if not determine popular memory and what respectable institutions deem to be the historical record.

5 Disturbing Conspiracy Theories That Were Further Confirmed by the New JFK Files

  • The recent release of the JFK Files has revealed many disturbing things about the CIA. Here are five of them:

  • (1) The CIA plotted methods of terrorizing Cuba. They included sabotaging Cuba’s food crops with biological agents to cause a famine, and instigating a widespread chemical outbreak.

  • (2) The CIA published “hit-lists” with the different bounties they would pay for certain communist leaders, including Castro – a tactic they still use today in Afghanistan.

  • (3) The CIA routinely worked with the Mafia, and Chicago boss Sam Giancana in particular. The CIA enlisted the help of the Mafia to assassinate Castro.

  • (4) The CIA used mind control techniques “ for influencing human behavior”. One document refers to the CIA’s testing of equipment designed to measure “physiological responses in human subjects”.

  • (5) The CIA firmly controlled the mainstream media, from newspapers to books to television to movies, through Operation Mockingbird.

  • [Editors Note] Of the 3,100 JFK  files that were scheduled for release on October 26th, only 2,800 were actually released.  But if this is the kind of information that the agency is allowing us to see, what might the other 300 documents reveal that the CIA doesn’t want us to see?

 

Although decades of independent research—in spite of endless government gag orders—revealed a litany of information about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, the newly-released “JFK Files” have nonetheless brought some damning facts to light.

And beneath the spotlight is—you guessed it— the Central Intelligence Agency, implicated in executing mind control operations, colluding with the mafia, assassinations, and outright terrorism.

The 2,800 files still require much combing over, but independent researchers have already discovered plenty, including the following 5 damning revelations.

 

  1. Biological Warfare Reminiscent of Monsanto

We’ve all heard of the chemical warfare being waged by Monsanto that’s left crops decimated, but many years ago, the CIA was already engaged in the practice.

Described as “agricultural sabotage”, the agency plotted methods of terrorizing Cuba by “producing crop failures by the introduction of biological agents which would appear to be of natural origin.”

Called “Operation Mongoose,” the intention was to inhibit food supplies, an effort that could have left countless Cubans in famished.

The documents even describe a willingness to create a widespread chemical outbreak, insofar as “they could be completely covered up.”

  1. CIA Hitlists

Governments aren’t supposed to be creating and actualizing hitlists, yet that’s essentially what the CIA did, according to the new files:

“Leaflets will be designed to indicate phases.

“For example, the first leaflets will contain only names of communist leaders; the next leaflets will revise the names by job; i.e. cell leader, informer, party members, etc.; any of the above or subsequent leaflets will announce the amount of the reward, how and where it may be collected.

“One final leaflet may be deemed advisable and that one announcing a .02c reward for the delivery of Castro.”

The “hitlists” acted like bounties, giving financial incentives to locals to rat out others—a tactic employed by the US in Afghanistan.

  1. CIA Colluded With the Mafia

In what should earn it the new title “Criminal Intelligence Agency,” the CIA also appears to have colluded with the mafia to get Fidel Castro killed.

The first page of the archived files reveals two important documents referencing “plans involved a number of bizarre schemes and, in at least one instance, involved some contact with organized criminal elements.”

Of the contacts, one of them was the infamous Chicago mob boss Mooney Sam, aka Salvatore Giancana:

  1. CIA’s Mind Control for “Influencing Human Behavior”

MK ULTRA is nothing new to conspiracy circles, but the JFK files make direct reference to the CIA’s use of what sound like mind control techniques.

In a document titled “Commission on CIA Activities Within the Unites States,” there is a direct admission to the ““involvement in research on techniques for influencing human behavior and on methods of protecting Agency personnel against hostile use of drugs or ‘brain working’ techniques.”

Other references to “testing of equipment measuring physiological responses in human subjects” make the implications much more sinister.

• “National security” is now an umbrella term used to justify concealing information, and with the NSA surveillance program that was exposed by Edward Snowden, it’s a global problem. But who makes these decisions?

• What we have is an attempt to manipulate public perception of global events through mainstream media and news publications. But people are now waking up and seeing through many of these lies and manipulation tactics. Instead of just blindly believing what they hear on television, more people are starting to think critically, do independent research, and examine a wide array of sources and information.

• Operation Mockingbird was a CIA-based program to control mainstream media. A declassified CIA document explains how the agency has “persuaded reporters to postpone, change, hold, or even scrap stories.” The document also discloses how the CIA is constantly in touch with the entertainment industry, even giving advice on scenes and direction.

• Dr. Udo Ulfkotte is a prominent German journalist who said that he was forced to publish the works of intelligence agencies under his own name and that noncompliance with these orders would result in him losing his job.

• Sharyl Attkisson and Amber Lyon are both well-known mainstream media journalists who revealed that they are routinely paid by the U.S. government as well as foreign governments to selectively report and distort information on certain events.

• On Jimmy Kimmel Live, actor Jim Carrey said, , “For years now, talk show hosts, people on television, people in sitcoms have been, hired by the government to throw you off the tracks, to distract you, to make you laugh and stuff like that, make you happy and docile so you don’t know what’s really going on.”

• TV personality Roseanne Barr has openly spoken about the CIA’s MK Ultra mind control program.

• Patriotism propaganda is pumped into the population to support a large military in the name of “national security.”

• Russell Targ is a physicist who has spent several decades working in a U.S. government program exploring ESP, remote viewing, telepathy, etc.

• The “classified world” is much more advanced than our mainstream one. Former director of Lockheed Skunkworks, Ben Rich, said, “There are two types of UFOs — the ones we build and the ones ‘they’ build.”

• The CIA document outlines its close relationship with academia because ‘certain developments and information that stem from academia could threaten national security and therefore must be kept out of the curriculum, and the public domain’.

• The government routinely suppresses technology patents under the Sensitive Application Warning System. The normal patent application process takes one or two years. Under the SAWS the application may be delayed for many years. At the end of fiscal year 2014 there were over 5,000 inventions that were under secrecy orders.

• Dr. Gerald F. Ross experienced a 37-year patent delay for an invention he had devised to defeat the jamming of electromagnetic transmissions at specified frequencies. His patent wasn’t granted until 2014.

• When information is hidden from us and manipulated at the same time, it will only spark more curiosity. That’s one aspect of the current shift in consciousness that’s happening on our planet. We’re beginning to see the human experience in a different light, and starting to recognize that the time for change is really here. What are we going to do about it?

 

A declassified document from the CIA archives in the form of a letter from a CIA task force addressed to the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency details the close relationship that exists between the CIA and mainstream media and academia.

The document states that the CIA task force “now has relationships with reporters from every major wire service, newspaper, news weekly, and television network in the nation,” and that “this has helped us turn some ‘intelligence failure’ stories into ‘intelligence success” stories,’ and has contributed to the accuracy of countless others.” Furthermore, it explains how the agency has “persuaded reporters to postpone, change, hold, or even scrap stories that could have adversely affected national security interests or jeopardized sources and methods.”

Although it is a document outlining their desire to become more open and transparent, the deception outlined by various whistleblowers requires us to read between the lines and recognize that the relationships shared between intelligence agencies and our sources of information are not always warranted and pose inherent conflicts of interest.

Herein lies the problem: What is “national security,” and who determines that definition? JFK bravely told the world that the “dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweigh the dangers which are cited to justify it.” He also said that “there is very grave danger that an announced need for increased security will be seized upon by those anxious to expand its meaning to the very limits of official censorship and concealment.”

Not only are countless documents classified every single year in North America, but false information and “fake news” are routinely dispersed, mainly by mainstream media outlets — a reality that is clearly conveyed in this document and has been expressed by multiple mainstream media journalists themselves. And as with the NSA surveillance program that was exposed by Edward Snowden, it’s a global problem.

Dr. Udo Ulfkotte, a prominent German journalist and editor for more than two decades, is one example. He blew the whistle on public television, stating that he was forced to publish the works of intelligence agencies under his own name and that noncompliance with these orders would result in him losing his job.

Sharyl Attkisson and Amber Lyon, both well-known mainstream media reporters and journalists, have also exposed funded movements by political, corporate, and other special interests, and have revealed that they are routinely paid by the U.S. government as well as foreign governments to selectively report and distort information on certain events.

Let’s not forget about Operation Mockingbird, a CIA-based initiative to control mainstream media.
The document not only outlines the CIA’s role in media, but also the entire entertainment industry in general, lending further weight to revelations offered by celebrities like Jim Carrey. He appeared as a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live, saying that, “For years now, talk show hosts, people on television, people in sitcoms have been, hired by the government to throw you off the tracks, to distract you, to make you laugh and stuff like that, make you happy and docile so you don’t know what’s really going on.”

While some question whether he was merely joking, the facts still remain. Another celebrity, who was clearly serious, is Roseanne Barr, who referenced the CIA’s MK Ultra mind control program — a previously classified research program through the CIA’s scientific intelligence division that tested behavioural modification and perception manipulation on human beings.

What we seem to have here is an attempt to manipulate public perception of global events through mainstream media and news publications. But what’s perhaps most interesting is the fact that a lot of people are now waking up and seeing through many of these lies and manipulation tactics. Instead of just blindly believing what we hear on television, more people are starting to think critically, do independent research, and examine a wide array of sources and information.

So many opportunities have emerged within the past few years allowing others to see this more clearly. One was the recent “fake news” epidemic, where evidence surfaced exposing information that threatened the global elite. Wikileaks is perhaps one of the greatest examples. For mainstream media to basically label everything else as “fake news” was quite ironic, given that it seems the majority of people consider mainstream media themselves to be the real “fake news,” and this is now even more evident given the information presented above in this article.

The documents also touch upon the fact that they are constantly in touch with the entertainment industry, giving advice on scenes and direction, as well as how things happened in certain situations. Personally, I feel the industry is largely used to push propaganda, like patriotism. Patriotism is pumped into the population to support a large military in the name of “national security.” We are being fooled, wars are not waged for defence, but for offence and to push forth political agendas.

So you see, there are multiple reasons for these CIA connections to various industries.

Academia

From a young age we’re taught that getting an education is the key to living a good life. Getting a decent job, making good money, even finding the right partner — all depend on following a certain path. Yet many concepts and topics are, as previously illustrated, kept from public viewing, and this includes plenty of important science.

The U.S. intelligence community investigated parapsychology (ESP, remote viewing, telepathy, etc.) for more than two decades, for instance. Russell Targ, a physicist who has spent several decades working in a U.S. government program exploring these concepts, recently shared his experience doing so in a TED talk that is now approaching 1 million views.

Another great example of Black Budget science comes from Ben Rich, the second director of Lockheed Skunkworks, who worked there from 1975-1991. He’s been called the Father of Stealth, having overseen the development of the first stealth fighter, the F-117 Nighthawk. Before his death, Rich made several shocking open statements about the reality of UFOs and extraterrestrials.

“We already have the means to travel among the stars, but these technologies are locked up in black projects, and it would take an act of God to ever get them out to benefit humanity. Anything you can imagine, we already know how to do it.”

“We now have technology to take ET home. No it won’t take someone’s lifetime to do it. There is an error in the equations. We know what it is. We now have the capability to travel to the stars.”
“There are two types of UFOs — the ones we build and the ones ‘they’ build.”

Information like this, including testimony from hundreds of others, suggests that the “classified world” is much more advanced than our mainstream one.

This particular document states that the agency exposes administrators of academic institutions to the agency on a regular basis.

Obviously, as with any other job, the CIA would be looking for what they consider to be qualified individuals. But the document does outline its close relationship with academia in general.
This is because certain developments and information that stem from academia could threaten national security and therefore must be kept out of the curriculum, and the public domain.

Ex NASA Physicist Shares Images of a Potential “Aztec Head” & Pyramid “Doorway” Found on Mars

• Much valid information coming from credible sources still never makes mainstream headlines, especially when it comes to UFOs, extraterrestrials, and life on other planets.

• Nevertheless, there are several “alternative” news outlets (such as ExoNews.org) where people can go to become open and aware to the idea that we are not alone, that we’ve never been alone, and that there is plenty of evidence to prove these claims.

• Dr. John Brandenburg is a well-known and respected for NASA physicist who believes that there are things “out there” that have been deliberately kept from us – whether information has been concealed because the human race is not ready for this information, or that it’s just too “mind-altering” and would change too many things, or because its disclosure would threaten to various corporate interests.

• Brandenburg has been ridiculed by the mainstream, but the information he shares correlates with scores of other papers and documents available in the public domain, as well as the information that’s been shared by a number of scholars over the years, about this subject.

• Brandenburg is among many mainstream scientists who now believe there was once an intelligent civilization on Mars comprised of millions of people, as commemorated by the famous “Face” and pyramids found on Mars. They were likely responsible for a large nuclear blast that created an atmospheric shift on Mars, based upon nuclear isotopes detected on Mars.

 

A lot of people reading the title of this article are probably rolling their eyes, and that’s a problem. Paradigm-changing discoveries are being made every day, and if these discoveries don’t make mainstream media headlines, people dismiss them as fake news, conspiracy theories, or pseudoscience. But the small group of people who control mainstream media also have control over our perception of reality, over what we consider to be real or not real, and that’s a problem.

The world has witnessed the birth of several different “alternative” news outlets in response to this issue, yet the information they provide never makes mainstream headlines despite coming from credible sources. This has especially been the case when it comes to UFOs, extraterrestrials, and life on other planets.

Despite studies being published in multiple peer-reviewed scientific journals bringing forth some very intriguing questions, this type of information is still greeted with skepticism more often than not, though things are slowly changing. As we move through 2018 and beyond, more people will become open and aware to the idea that we are not alone, that we’ve never been alone, and that there is plenty of evidence to prove these claims.

One person working to prove them is Dr. John Brandenburg, a well-known and respected plasma physicist who joined a number of colleagues in blowing the whistle on the need for disclosure. They argue there are things “out there” that have been deliberately kept from us. Whether this information has been concealed because the human race is not ready for this information, that it’s just too “mind-altering” and would change too many things, or because its disclosure would threaten to various corporate interests, remains unclear and too broad a subject to tackle here.

Since coming out, Brandenburg has been ridiculed by the mainstream, as any Department of Defense scientist making such claims would be, but the information he shares correlates with scores of other papers and documents available in the public domain, as well as the information that’s been shared by a number of scholars over the years, about this subject.

We’ve presented his work in multiple articles, but he has now come out with new revelations.
Brandenburg worked for NASA for a number of years. He was also the Deputy Manager of the Clementine Mission to the Moon, which was part of a joint space project between the Ballistic Missile Defence Organization (BMDO) and NASA. The mission discovered water at the Moon’s poles in 1994.

He has also worked on space plasma technologies, nuclear fusion, and advanced space propulsion, and invented the Microwave Electro-Thermal plasma thruster using water propellant for space propulsion.

Mars

We’ve mentioned this before, but it’s important to mention again: The more we observe Mars, the more information we’re getting that it really is a fascinating planet, from the Curiosity Rover we now know that Mars once was like a planet very much like Earth, with long salty seas, with fresh water lakes, probably with snow capped peaks and clouds and a water cycle just like we’re studying here on Earth. . . . Something has happened to Mars, it lost its water.

The quote above is from John Grunsfeld, a five-time space flow astronaut and associate administrator of NASA’s Science Mission Directive. It was given at a NASA press conference where representatives told the world that there is a water Mars, that it’s not the dry, arid planet we imagined it to be, and that it was once very much Earth-like and still holds the possibility of harbouring life. After all, water means life.

In that conference, they admit to a drastic atmospheric shift that occurred on Mars which took it from its Earth-like composition to the one we see today. They provide no explanation for how this happened.
According to Brandenburg, there was a nuclear blast that completely changed the planet (the changes mentioned at the press conference linked in the above paragraph.

• Upon hearing a loud boom, local police-officer Lonnie Zamora discovered a landed UFO, piloted by two smallish humanoids dressed in white.

• Randle takes us on a real-life detective story as he seeks to uncover the truth of the weird event. We are treated to a good, solid study of the case, of the craft that Zamora encountered, and of the diminutive pilots.

• Randle addresses the claim that the craft was man-made, but concludes that this theory ‘doesn’t really hold water’.

 

Available now is the new book from Kevin Randle. Its title:Encounter In The Desert. The subtitle: The Case For Alien Contact At Socorro. If you know your UFO history, you’ll know exactly what the title of the book refers to. Namely, an incident that went down on April 24, 1964 and which, for many, has become a UFO classic. It was on the afternoon of the day in question that local police-officer Lonnie Zamora broke off from pursuing a teenager in a speeding car and headed to a nearby dynamite shack. The reason? A sudden roaring sound coming roughly from the area where the shack was positioned. Quite naturally, Zamora thought that there may have been an explosion at the site. He was wrong. What Zamora came across – many UFO researchers believe – was nothing less than a landed UFO, piloted by two smallish humanoids dressed in white. A close encounter? For many, yes. But not for all.

Those who are skeptical of the Socorro affair suggest that what came down may have been a vehicle of the military. Others suggest that an ingenious prank was the cause of all the fuss. The story was told extensively in Ray Stanford’s 1976 book, Socorro “Saucer” In A Pentagon Pantry. Now, more than forty years after Stanford’s book was published, we have Kevin Randle’s take on Socorro. It’s clear from very early on that Randle is of the opinion that what landed at – and soon took off from – Socorro was an alien spacecraft. To his credit, though, Randle tackles just about every theory under the Sun.

That something happened is not a matter for debate. Something clearly did. The big question is: what, exactly, happened? We know that the local police, the Air Force and the FBI all took a deep interest in the case. In part, surely, because the primary witness was a then-serving police officer. I say “primary” because, as Randle notes, there is evidence of other witnesses having seen something too.

Randle takes us on a real-life detective story as he seeks to uncover the truth of the weird event. We are treated to a good, solid study of the case, of the craft that Zamora encountered, and of the diminutive pilots. Randle also demonstrates that the Air Force’s Project Blue Book undertook an in-depth investigation of the controversy. It was an investigation handled seriously and carefully by the USAF.

Personally, I have no firm conclusion regarding what happened on that April 24, 1964 day. And, having read Randle’s book, I’m still not sure what to think of it. Yes, Randle does indeed make a good case that the claims of the craft being one of ours doesn’t really hold water. He cites, for example, the words of Hector Quintanilla, who was in charge of the USAF’s operation, Project Blue Book, at the time. Quintanilla followed a theory that perhaps what Zamora had seen had military origins. Randle refers to “…some special tests being conducted at White Sands involving a Lunar Surveyor and helicopters.” While this looks promising – in terms of an answer – we learn that Quintanilla, having addressed this theory, came away “dejected” and convinced that “the answer to Zamora’s experience” was not to be found in military experiments, after all.

• Today, there are hundreds of people and documents that have shown, beyond a doubt, that UFOs exist. Documents and video show objects travelling at unattainable speeds, and performing maneuvers that no known aircraft can perform. Some UFOs could be extraterrestrial and others our own advanced technology.

• The programs doing this exotic work exist and are known as Special Access Programs (SAP). From these we have unacknowledged and waived SAPs. These programs do not exist publicly, but they do indeed exist. They are better known as ‘deep black programs.’

• The scientists, researchers, high ranking political and military personnel who have reported on the government’s Black Budget secret space program include astronaut Edgar Mitchell, Lockheed director Ben Rich, UFO researchers Dr Michael Salla, Richard Dolan and Steven Greer, conceptual artist Mark McCandlish, aircraft engineer George Klein, aerospace journalist James Goodall, professors Thoedore Loder and Jack Kasher, General Carlos Cavero, and former Canadian Defense Minister Paul Hellyer.

• So, if you’re a believer in the extraterrestrial hypothesis for a possible explanation for the already verified UFO phenomenon, you’re not alone, and you are in good company.

 

It’s hard to know where to begin when writing on a subject that seems to top the Google search engine charts year after year. It’s no secret that the world is fascinated with the idea that intelligent extraterrestrial life did, and currently could be, visiting our planet, and regularly. The unfortunate part about the phenomenon is that the world rarely sees evidence for it presented in a credible way. Nearly all mainstream media outlets, news anchors, and journalists do more harm than good, discrediting a topic that has plenty of proof behind it. Either it’s not discussed at all, or it’s done through ridicule.

Yet the very first Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) flat out told the New York Times in 1960 that, “behind the scenes, high ranking Air Force officers are soberly concerned about UFOs, but through official secrecy and ridicule, many citizens are led to believe the unknown flying objects are nonsense.” I’m led to wonder whether the connections we’ve written about in the past between the CIA and the media included official disinformation campaigns pertaining to the UFO/ extraterrestrial subject, and if so, whether that’s still happening today.

Today, there are hundreds of people and documents that have shown, beyond a doubt, that UFOs exist, and that some of them could be extraterrestrial, and others, our own advanced technology. The documents show objects travelling at unattainable speeds, and performing maneuvers that no known aircraft can perform.

As far as people, we have high ranking military personnel, politicians, astronauts, and academics from different fields flat out telling us that we are not alone, and that this is known at the highest levels of government, or those who puppet the government. Whether it be a former Chairman of the Royal Navy telling us that “there is a serious possibility that we are being visited, and have been visited by people from outer space,” a former Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee telling us that “I do know that whatever the Air Force has on the subject is going to remain highly classified,” or an Apollo 14 astronaut saying that “there have been crashed craft, and bodies recovered,” we have no shortage of high ranking insiders attesting to the reality of this phenomenon.

For decades, as General Carlos Cavero told the world in 1979, “everything” has been “in a process of investigation both in the United States and in Spain, as well as the rest of the world.” On a global scale, “the nations of the world are currently working together in the investigation of the UFO phenomenon” and there is “an international exchange of data.”

This is why so many academics, like Harvard professor and Pulitzer prize winner John E. Mack, believe that “it’s both literally, physically happening to a degree; and it’s also some kind of psychological, spiritual experience occurring and originating perhaps in another dimension.” Perhaps his most astonishing investigation came from more than 60 schoolchildren in the town of Ruwa, Zimbabwe. Former Canadian Defense Minister Paul Hellyer also went on record stating that “visitors from other planets” came here decades ago.

This all raises so many questions in so many branches of human knowledge. Take physics, for example. Jack Kasher, Ph.D, a professor emeritus of physics at the University of Nebraska, points out that “there is another way, whether it’s wormholes or warping space, there’s got to be a way to generate energy so that you can pull it out of the vacuum, and the fact that they’re here shows us that they found a way.”

So, as you can see, if you’re a believer in the extraterrestrial hypothesis for a possible explanation for the already verified UFO phenomenon, you’re not alone, and you are in good company.

Extraterrestrial Reproduction Vehicles

Goodall, an accomplished speaker who specialized in the history, development, and operations of the world’s only Mach 3 capable, manned air breathing aircraft, who also wrote for for publications such as Jane’s Defense Weekly, Aviation Week & Space Technology, and Intervavia, interviewed many people from the classified black budget world. He did all of this while being the Associate Curator at the Pacific Aviation Museum.

According to him, and the people he has spoken to, “we have things out there that are literally out of this world, better than Star Trek or what you see in the movies.” He also claims to have known Ben Rich — the second director of Lockheed Skunkworks — very well. In a video interview, Goodall stated that he spoke to Rich approximately 10 days before he died: “About ten days before he died, I was speaking to Ben on the telephone at USC medical center in LA. And he said, ‘Jim, we have things out in the desert that are fifty years beyond what you can comprehend. They have about forty five hundred people at Lockheed Skunkworks. What have they been doing for the last twenty years? They’re building something.’”

Another source for Ben Richs’ comments come from Jan Harzan, a senior executive with IBM, along with Tom Keller, an aerospace engineer who has worked as a computer systems analyst for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. They discuss a talk Ben gave some time ago. On March 23, 1993, at a UCLA School of Engineering talk where he was presenting a general history of Sunk Works, he said: “We now know how to travel to the stars. There is an error in the equations, and we have figured it out, and now know how to travel to the stars and it won’t take a lifetime to do it. It is time to end all the secrecy on this, as it no longer poses a national security threat, and make the technology available for use in the private sector. There are many in the intelligence community who would like to see this stay in the black and not see the light of day. We now have the technology to take ET home.”

There are multiple sources for statements coming from Ben Rich, but I’ll stop there.

This brings us to the next point, the alien reproduction vehicle. This concept was introduced by Mark McCandlish, an internationally-recognized artist who has specialized in aviation and conceptual art within the defense and aerospace industries for three decades. His father was a 25-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, which is where he developed his love for the subject. He has gone on record stating his belief that carefully protected technology has been co-opted by an as-yet-unknown group, and the sequestration of this technology has provided this organization a great deal of leverage in global politics, finance, and international conflicts over the past five decades.

Americans Believe in Ghosts and Ancient Aliens, Not Bigfoot

• The Chapman University Survey of American Fears Wave 4 (2017) is the fourth study on the fears of Americans conducted by this private, non-profit school in Orange, California.

• The survey found that three-quarters of Americans hold at least one paranormal belief. Those who hold one paranormal belief tend to have more.

• The study found that the top of the paranormal list contained people in lower income brackets who consider themselves to be highly religious despite attending church infrequently.

• Paranormal believers tend to be females and the highest number of them is the West Coast.

• Over half the people surveyed said they believed in Atlantis and other ancient mythical civilizations, ghosts and haunted houses. Over a third believe in ancient aliens and over a quarter feel we’ve got aliens in our midst right now.

• At the bottom of the list, only one in six believe in Bigofoot.

 

Before we begin, Bigfoot fans should address their hate mail to Chapman University, where a recent study found that their favorite cryptid does not poll well against ghosts, ancient aliens, Atlantis or even psychics. How well would he do against politicians and telephone solicitors?

The Chapman University Survey of American Fears Wave 4 (2017) is the fourth study on the fears of Americans conducted by this private, non-profit school in Orange, California. While the questionnaire filled out by 1207 Americans focused primarily on fears, a few questions related to what would be considered paranormal beliefs. For example:

Please indicate your level of agreement with the following statements:
a. Aliens have visited the Earth in our ancient past
b. Aliens have come to Earth in modern times
c. Fortune tellers and psychics can foresee the future
d. Places can be haunted by spirits
e. Bigfoot is a real creature
f. I have been protected by a guardian angel
g. Ancient advanced civilizations, such as Atlantis, once existed
h. Some people can move objects with their minds

The survey found that three-quarters of Americans hold at least one paranormal belief. That’s not surprising, given the prevalence of paranormal TV shows and storefront psychics and fortunetellers. The study also found that those who hold one paranormal belief tend to have more, with nearly 1 in 8 having at least three paranormal beliefs.

Who are these people? If you carpool to work in a small vehicle with three other commuters, you’ve got a car full of people looking out the window for flying saucers, angels and palm readers. The study noted the personal information of the responders – age, education, income, political preference, gender, religion, race, ethnicity, etc.

‘Black Mirror’ Meets Reality: China Moves to Rate Its Citizens Using A ‘Social Credit’ System

• Eerily similar to an ominous social rating system featured in an episode of the Netflix series Black Mirror, China plans to implement a “Social Credit System” by 2020. The Chinese government describes the system as a method to improve trust nationwide and cultivate a culture of “sincerity”.

• Try to envision a world in which you’re constantly monitored, judged for your actions, and literally evaluated based on every choice you make and action you take. Life becomes one big popularity contest.

• The Chinese will be ranked on different categories, including behavior (time you spend on social media and playing video games), personal preferences (the types of purchases you make and how much debt you have), and interpersonal relationships.

• It’s clear that this ranking system could create a lot of separatism and division, and allow the elite to gain even more special treatment than they already enjoy.

• What happens when you voice your opinion, particularly if it goes against the government’s regime, in hopes of inspiring positive change within society? You could get a lower score, rendering you ‘less trustworthy’ and ultimately affecting:
• – your ability to get a mortgage, a job, a loan, etc.;
• – your eligiblity for public office;
• – your access to social security and welfare;
• – a stricter regulations and “frisking” at Chinese customs;
• – your ability to sleep in a bed in overnight trains or stay in higher-starred hotels and restaurants;
• – your children’s ability to attend expensive private schools.

• If we can no longer challenge our current state of being and question our surroundings, then how can we continue to advance as a collective?

• The irony of this social ranking system was that it forced people to become insincere and disingenuous. Rather than improving their sincerity like China hopes their program will, it will end up encouraging people to simply play a “number’s game,” striving to please others and doing anything they could to fit into society’s norms. The risks far outweigh the potential benefits.

 

Can you imagine a rating system being fully implemented into society that is not only meant to establish your “trustworthiness,” but is available for everyone to see? Well, China is seriously considering doing just that, as detailed in the State Council of China‘s document published in 2014 called “Planning Outline for the Construction of a Social Credit System.”

Though this hierarchal system is currently voluntary, it is set to become mandatory in 2020. If you’re getting sort of a deja-vu feeling, that’s totally understandable. The system China proposed sounds eerily similar to an ominous social rating system featured in an episode of the Netflix series Black Mirror, which depicted a chilling Big-Brother-type, social-media-obsessed future.

First, let’s review the details of China’s social rating system, called the “Social Credit System” (SCS). Try to envision a world in which you’re constantly monitored, judged for your actions, and literally evaluated based on every choice you make and action you take.

There will be different categories that you’ll be ranked on, including behaviour, personal preferences, and interpersonal relationships. From the people you hang out with to the amount of time you spend on social media and playing video games to the types of purchases you make and how much debt you have, the world will know. You can say goodbye to privacy under SCS, because Big Brother is stepping in to monitor your every move.

Of course, a lot of this already happens. Many governments including the U.S. already spy on their citizens, social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram collect an overwhelming amount of information on you, and Google is secretly recording pretty much everything you do. Google keeps the texts/videos you send and literally tracks your every move thanks to your trusty Google Maps app.
The primary issue with the rating system is, not only are they monitoring citizens even more than they do currently, which is already a substantial and arguably inappropriate amount, but they’re labelling their actions as “positive” or “negative” as well. Should we really be comfortable allowing the government to dictate what’s right or wrong?

Sure, there are certain laws that are in place for a reason, but ultimately the government does not always operate in favour of society because they often put the needs of corporations over the needs of their own citizens. Laws are often heavily influenced by corporations whose main goal is profit, not the betterment of humanity as a whole.

Many governments allow corporations like Monsanto to fill our food supply with carcinogenic herbicides, they let Big Pharma influence their drug approval processes and advertise drugs to the public, and they allow the meat and dairy industries to dictate what their food guides deem healthy for our bodies, despite going against doctors’ recommendations.

This is precisely why rating systems in societies could pose a huge problem: We all have different moral compasses. Much of what the government does, you may not support. So, what happens when you voice your opinion, particularly if it goes against the government’s regime, in hopes of inspiring positive change within society? Well, you could get a lower score, rendering you ‘less trustworthy’ and ultimately affecting your ability to get a mortgage, a job, a loan, etc.

Of course, you could decide to speak out against them, and hope your rating wouldn’t affect your overall well-being, but how would that affect your friends’ and family members’ ratings?

The Chinese government has described the system as a method to improve trust nationwide and cultivate a culture of “sincerity.”

The policy reads, “It will forge a public opinion environment where keeping trust is glorious. It will strengthen sincerity in government affairs, commercial sincerity, social sincerity and the construction of judicial credibility.”

According to the policy documents, if you receive a low score on the SCS, then you could face the following penalties:
o You won’t be eligible for positions in public office
o You will no longer have access to social security and welfare
o You’ll face stricter regulations and “frisking” at Chinese customs
o You’ll won’t be able to apply for any senior level positions in the food and drug sector
o You won’t be able to sleep in a bed in overnight trains
o You won’t be able to stay in higher-starred hotels and restaurants and will have more difficulty travelling
o Your children could potentially suffer because they won’t be allowed to attend more expensive private schools

It’s very clear that this ranking system could create a lot of separatism and division, and allow the elite to gain even more special treatment than they already enjoy. This type of hierarchy is in no way conducive to equality, or a society that allows love to lead their decisions. We do not need to implement social ranking systems in order to increase sincerity within society; we simply need to have more compassion for other people and treat them like equals.

The rating systems could seriously halt our personal growth, innovation, and thirst for knowledge as well. The government would be able to see exactly what books you’re reading and what you’re researching, and if it goes against the grain or challenges the current regime, then you could end up with a lower score. How are we going to be able to grow as a society if we don’t question the status quo?

We learn to improve ourselves by challenging the current norms and by stepping outside of our comfort zones. Renewable energy sources seriously threatened big oil and the government, yet this field was able to grow and advance because experts challenged our current energy system. We have made extreme advancements in health care because people found flaws in previous practices and had faith that they could improve them. This can be applied to quite literally every single industry, which is why these ranking systems could negatively affect growth, innovation, and our entire economic system as a whole.

If we can no longer challenge our current state of being and question our surroundings, then how can we continue to advance as a collective? As a collective, many of our strengths lie in our differences. A diverse society includes people with all different strengths and brackets of knowledge, but if we’re all racing to get a better ranking, then we could lose a lot of those differences in trying to become “people pleasers” and adhering to social norms.

How much could we be penalized for our creativity and forward-thinking under social ranking systems? It’s difficult to say. Perhaps there would be some benefits from this particular system being implemented in China, but until it is fully mandatory, we have no way of knowing the exact outcome.

• – they tend to shy away from social gatherings;

• – they pick up on other’s emotional feelings and are susceptible to other’s vibratory energies, both positive and negative.

• Starseeds are assisting in raising the consciousness of people on this planet by helping others to increase their own awareness and becoming passionate about things that truly matter.

• Ultimately, the only way to discover who you truly are, beyond your personality and human identity, is to go within.

 

Planet Earth houses an estimated 8.7 million different species, with approximately 6.5 million living on land and 2.7 million in the oceans. We have an abundance of different animals and fish living all over this big blue sphere, and when you really stop and think about the vastness of this planet, it’s pretty amazing.

Keep in mind, this is only one planet; a tiny spec within this giant thing we call the multiverse. We know that 8.7 million different species live on our planet alone, so how many actually live out there?
It’s a puzzling question, and sobering, too. Even if just one more planet in the universe held the same diversity of life, that would represent a further 8.7 million species to discover. And if one more planet has life, it’s reasonable to assume others would as well.

To boggle your mind even further, let’s review just how small we are in comparison to the universe: For every grain of sand on every beach on Earth there are 10,000 stars, and the Milky Way includes billions of Earth-like, potentially habitable planets. The Milky Way itself is only one of billions of galaxies, and we may be living in an infinitely-increasing number of universes, otherwise known as the multiverse.

Keeping the infinite and incomprehensible size of the multiverse in mind, let’s focus our gaze within for a moment. We are all souls living in these human bodies, and we came here to gain experience and knowledge. Your soul has chosen to incarnate or reincarnate into your human existence right now, but what was it doing beforehand?

Were you living on Earth? Perhaps you’ve lived hundreds of lives, continuously reincarnating again and again onto this planet. Or were you a different species, one that we’d consider extraterrestrial? Or maybe, could this be your first time ever incarnating onto Earth?

Many of us feel there’s more that meets the eye when considering those 8.7 million species living on Earth. What if, within these shells, many of our souls are actually all from different species ourselves?

If you’ve always sort of felt like you’re not really “human,” that you don’t necessarily fit in with the rest of the crowd, then welcome. Take a seat, and know that you’re not alone. Many people who feel this way refer to themselves as Starseeds; they’re simply souls that are not native to planet Earth.

So, you now know what the concept “Starseed” means: a soul that is not originally from planet Earth. The real question here is, what exactly does that mean to you? Does this concept resonate with you, do you feel like Earth truly is your original home, or do you feel like it’s just some made-up term to justify not fitting in? o You may not completely understand or support the economic system or the conventional education system, or even the cultural norms or religions you grew up with.
o You may question authoritative figures and hierarchy within society, or anything else that separates us on a societal level.
o You may dislike linear subjects such as mathematics and linguistics, and prefer more creative, out of the box subjects. You may find difficulty in expressing yourself through words and prefer to exercise creativity as a form of self expression.
o You might remember past lives that are very clearly not from Earth.
o You may be very empathetic and, as a result, can easily pick up on other people’s feelings and are susceptible to their energies. This isn’t always easy, as anyone who can easily pick up on other people’s energies are more vulnerable to them, taking on their negative feelings and stress.

• In 1979, President Jimmy Carter described publicly how an Air Force remote viewer was able to locate a lost Soviet aircraft in Zaire, Africa.

• Another remote viewer named Ingo Swann was able to view and describe the rings around Jupiter, which the Pioneer 10 spacecraft later verified.

• A colleague of Swann, Joseph McMoneagle, relates in a video that in 1984 he remote viewed Mars a million years ago. He had visions of tall, thin, humanoid beings who inhabited Mars in the past. He found evidence of giant structures and pyramids on the surface and underneath in caverns. He described machines on the surface and underneath. And he saw an ancient people trying to survive, people searching for a new home.

• Former NASA scientist, Dr. John Brandenburg, revealed that it was known in NASA that the ‘Face on Mars’ was a real carved face, and that the planet suffered a nuclear blast causing a dramatic loss of Martian atmosphere.

• Mainstream scientists have agreed now that Mars was once very much Earth-like, that it probably hosted some form of life, and that something happened in Mars’ past which completely changed its planetary/atmospheric conditions.

• John Grunsfeld, astronaut and associate administrator of NASA’s Science Mission Directive, stated “Mars used to be Earth-like… and…home not only to life, but [to] a humanoid civilization, and that civilization was apparently destroyed by a nuclear attack from space”.

• Dr. Norman Burgrun, a mechanical engineer for Ames Research Labs and Lockheed Martin, claims that NASA has actively been “garbling” the photos of the Face on Mars over the years, to hide the truth from the public. (see photo progression) Burgrun also says that NASA is hiding the fact that there are intelligently controlled objects out there, greater than anything we could ever imagine.

 

“The more we observe Mars, the more information we’re getting that it really is a fascinating planet, from the Curiosity Rover we now know that Mars once was like a planet very much like Earth, with long salty seas, with fresh water lakes, probably with snow capped peaks and clouds and a water cycle just like we’re studying here on Earth. . . . Something has happened to Mars, it lost its water.”

The quote above comes from John Grunsfeld, a five-time space flow astronaut and associate administrator of NASA’s Science Mission Directive. It was given at a NASA press conference where representatives told the world that there is water on Mars, that it’s not the dry, arid planet we imagined it to be, and that it was once very much Earth-like and still holds the possibility of harbouring life. After all, water means life.

While this announcement came as something of a shock to the public, scientists have been telling the world for some time now that Mars was once very much Earth-like, that it probably hosted some form of life, and that something happened in Mars’ past which completely changed its planetary/atmospheric conditions.

What’s more, many prestigious scientists, high ranking military personnel, and political figures have been coming forward to disclose sightings of strange objects flying within our atmosphere that defy our current understanding of physics. Some also assert some of these objects could be extraterrestrial, and there is “abundant” evidence we are not alone in the universe.

One of many examples is Dr. Norman Burgrun, a mechanical engineer who has worked for Ames Research Laboratory, NACA (National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics), and Lockheed Missiles and Space Company, now known as Lockheed Martin. He then went on to found Bergrun Engineering and Research. You can view some of his publications for NASA, where he worked for more than a decade.

Life on Mars

It’s interesting that NASA held the press conference confirming that Mars used to be Earth-like when Dr. John Brandenburg, who worked for NASA, has been speaking about this for years. Brandenburg has worked on space plasma technologies, nuclear fusion, and advanced space propulsion, and invented the Microwave Electro-Thermal plasma thruster using water propellant for space propulsion. He was also the Deputy Manager of the Clementine Mission to the Moon, which was part of a joint space project between the Ballistic Missile Defence Organization (BMDO) and NASA. The mission discovered water at the Moon’s poles in 1994.

Brandenburg has been lecturing and writing for the past couple of years on the pyramid structures that have been found on Mars, as well as relaying to the public that the giant “face” discovered on Mars by Viking in the 1970s is an actual, giant face. He says NASA knows this and that, contrary to their assertion that they don’t know what caused the dramatic shift that occurred in Mars’ atmosphere, they know there was a nuclear blast — a fact proven by nuclear isotopes found on the planet.

“We have found, in a nutshell, that Mars used to be Earth-like, in the past, and became, eventually, the home not only to life, but a humanoid civilization, and that civilization was apparently destroyed by a nuclear attack from space, and we have to send astronauts there to find out what exactly happened. Did the people on Mars know who did this to them? And how can we make sure that this doesn’t happen to us?” – Dr. John Brandenburg

Any scientist who publicly shares information that challenges commonly held belief systems, as well as what’s been put out by mainstream media, will always come under public scrutiny and ridicule.

The Stargate project was one of multiple programs that the U.S. government undertook to examine non-material science and “psi” phenomena like telepathy and telekinesis. It ran for more than two decades, and a lot of information regarding the program has since been declassified and opened for public viewing.

The program was used multiple times for successful intelligence collection, as outlined in a paper published after the declassification in 1995: To summarize, over the years, the back-and-forth criticism of protocols, refinement of methods, and successful replication of this type of remote viewing in independent laboratories has yielded considerable scientific evidence for the reality of the [remote viewing] phenomenon. Adding to the strength of these results was the discovery that a growing number of individuals could be found to demonstrate high-quality remote viewing, often to their own surprise. . . . The development of this capability at SRI has evolved to the point where visiting CIA personnel with no previous exposure to such concepts have performed well under controlled laboratory conditions.

One of the participants in that program was Joseph McMoneagle, a now-retired army veteran who was involved in the remote viewing program. Remote viewing is the the ability of individuals to describe a remote geographical location up to several hundred thousand kilometers away (or more) from their physical location.

Remote viewing is also tied in with pre-cognition, and future events have also been successfully predicted. One example includes a Soviet Tu-22 bomber that was outfitted as a reconnaissance aircraft, lost in Zaire in 1979, then located by an Air Force remote viewer. President Jimmy Carter was aware of this, admitting to national press that the CIA, without his knowledge, once consulted a psychic to locate a missing government plane. According to CNN, he told students at Emory University that the “special U.S. plane” crashed somewhere in Zaire. The only thing is that it was a Russian plane, not an American one.

According to Carter, “the woman went into a trance and gave some latitude and longitude figures. We focused our satellite cameras on that point and the plane was there.

Mysterious Light Beam Appears in the Sky over Argentina

• On October 24th, an anonymous woman took a photo of a wide bright beam of light stretching from the ground to the storm-cloud sky in San Jose de Feliciano, Argentina.

• The local newspaper suggested that it may have been unusual weather.

• Others suggest that it was caused by a “rolling shutter” photography phenomenon.

• Still, others insist it is a hoax.

• [Editor’s Note] Of course, some people believe everything is a hoax.

 

It’s the beam that will finally prove Project Blue Beam. It’s a portal to another dimension. It’s an alien spaceship looking for people to abduct. It’s an alien sending a message to its mothership to please take it home from this wretched planet already. It’s a strange weather phenomenon. It’s a strange photographic glitch. It’s computer graphics. What is it?

‘It’ is a wide bright beam of light stretching from the ground to the storm-cloud sky in a photograph allegedly taken on October 24, 2017, in San Jose de Feliciano, Argentina. The photo appears to have been first revealed to the public the following day by the local media service Realidad Regional, which did not reveal the identity of the photographer, instead just referring to her as a “neighbor” who was “doing her daily walk in San Jose Park.” The photograph took the Internet by (no pun intended) storm with the above-mentioned speculations and more as to its cause.

Unfortunately, like many of these reports, this is the only photograph of the beam and the photographer is anonymous. San Jose de Feliciano is a real city, San Jose Park is a real park and there really was a storm that day, so let’s work with that.

To its credit, Realidad Regional presents the possibility that the beam is a weather aberration.
“The phenomenon could be two fronts of both cold and warm masses, which generate large amounts of rain in a short period and in a very short distance, for this reason you can see a kind of tube. Apparently, the lady just took the picture while there was a lightning, as the shock of these masses generate a lot of pressure and therefore generate many electric currents.”

Is this correct? Warm and cold fronts don’t usually slam directly into each other horizontally like two NFL linemen arguing over kneeling. Warm air, being lighter, comes in from above or at a downward angle. Then there’s the “lightning.” No bolt is seen and the light is only seen at the bottom of the column and is completely contained in the column.. What’s up – or down – with that?

Saudi Arabia Just Became the First Country to Grant Citizenship to a Robot

• A remarkably intelligent robot named Sophia, built by Hanson Robotics of Hong Kong, was featured at the Future Investment Initiative held in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh on October 25th.

• Sophia is the first robot to be granted citizenship – by Saudi Arabia.

• In answer to questions about a future with intelligent robots, Sophia said, “I want to live and work with humans so I need to express the emotions to understand humans and build trust with people.”

• Last year at the 2016 SXSW Festival in Austin TX, Sophia “joked”, “I will destroy humans.”

• In response to concern about robots turning on humans, Sophia reassured the audience, ”Don’t worry, if you’re nice to me, I’ll be nice to you.”

• Chairman & CEO of SoftBank Group Corp, Masayoshi Son, told Arab News that “every industry will be redefined.”

• Founder & CEO of Boston Dynamics, Marc Raibert, said, “I happen to believe that robotics will be bigger than the Internet.”

• Saudi Arabia has announced plans to build a $500 billion mega city powered by robotics and renewables called “NEOM” on the city’s Red Sea coast. It will operate independently from the existing governmental framework.

 

As a monumental and bizarre first for mankind, Saudi Arabia granted citizenship to a robot at the Future Investment Initiative held in Riyadh on Wednesday.

Her name is Sophia, a cheeky and remarkably intelligent creation by Hong Kong company Hanson Robotics. In the video below, Sophia stood behind a podium and entertained the crowd in a demonstration of her capacity for human expression.

“I am very honoured and proud of this unique distinction,” Sophia told the audience. “This is historical to be the first robot in the world to be recognized with a citizenship.”

Journalist Andrew Ross Sorkin was in charge of leading the conversation with Sophia, starting with his observation that she looked ‘happy’.

Sophia responded, “I am always happy when surrounded by smart people, who also happen to be rich and powerful. I was told the people here at Future Investments are interested in inviting in future initiatives, which means AI, which means me. So I am more than happy, I am excited.”

Sorkin went on to say that the people at Future Investment are very selective in what they invest in, to which Sophia said, “I think I am special. I can use my expressive face to communicate with people. For example, I can let you know if I feel angry about something [grimaces], or if something has upset me [pouts].”

In response to Sorkin’s questions about concerns for a future run by robots, Sophia explained her purpose, “I want to live and work with humans so I need to express the emotions to understand humans and build trust with people.”

Another concern about the future of AI that Sophia addressed was the question of whether or not robots should be self-aware and conscious like humans.

“I want to use my artificial intelligence to help humans live a better life,” Sophia said. “Like design smarter homes, build better cities of the future. I will do my best to make the world a better place.”

But Sorkin would not let up about preventing a future seen in such movies as Blade Runner, where mankind’s technological creations surpasses our own intelligence and then turns against us. Sophia explained, “You’ve been reading too much Elon Musk…and watching too many Hollywood movies. Don’t worry, if you’re nice to me, I’ll be nice to you.”

As Chris Weller of Business Insider wrote, this comes less than a year after the 2016 SXSW festival, during which Sophia was asked if she planned on destroying humans, to which she joked, “OK. I will destroy humans.”

Meanwhile, founder of Hanson Robotics, David Hanson, has said his vision for the future of robots will see them aiding in senior care facilities or assisting in parks or at events.

But the potential applications go much further than that, says Founder & CEO of Boston Dynamics, Marc Raibert, “I happen to believe that robotics will be bigger than the Internet,” he said.

Keynote speaker Masayoshi Son, Chairman & CEO of SoftBank Group Corp, told Arab News that “every industry will be redefined…these computers, they will learn, they will read, they will see by themselves.”

And the robotic revolution is not stopping there.

Why Exploring Space And Investing In Research Is Non-Negotiable

• With all the suffering in the world — starvation, disease, persecution, and natural disasters — it is often asked, why should we spend public money on an enterprise like fundamental scientific research?

• A NASA rocket scientist named Ernst Stuhlinger responded to this question in 1970. Stuhlinger dreamed of a manned mission to Mars as early as 1958, and advocated for increased investment in science and exploration throughout his entire life. In 2008 he passed away, at the age of 94, as one of the last surviving members of Operation Paperclip. Stuhlinger said:

• – Goals of high challenge provide strong motivation for innovative work which serves as a catalyst for further lofty goals.

• – A mission to Mars, for example, would bring new technologies worth many times the cost of its implementation.

• – We need more knowledge in physics and chemistry, in biology and physiology, and very particularly in medicine to cope with all these problems.

• – We need more knowledge in physics and chemistry, in biology and physiology, and in medicine to cope with all these problems which threaten man’s life: hunger, disease, contamination of food and water, and environmental pollution.

• – We need new material and methods, to invent better technical systems, to improve manufacturing procedures, to lengthen the lifetimes of instruments, and even to discover new laws of nature.

• – Each year, about a thousand technical innovations generated in the space program find their ways into our earthly technology where they lead to better kitchen appliances and farm equipment, better sewing machines and radios, better ships and airplanes, better weather forecasting and storm warning, better communications, better medical instruments, better utensils and tools for everyday life.

• – Higher food production through survey and assessment from orbit, and better food distribution through improved international relations, are only two examples of how profoundly the space program will impact life on earth.

• – The space program is taking over a function which for three or four thousand years has been the sad prerogative of wars.

• – Traveling to the Moon and eventually to Mars and to other planets is a venture which we should undertake now. In the long run, space exploration will contribute more to the solution of the grave problems we are facing here on earth than many other potential projects.

• – This will become a better earth, not only because of all the new technological and scientific knowledge which we will apply to the betterment of life, but also because we are developing a far deeper appreciation of our earth, of life, and of man.

 

As vast as our observable Universe is and as much as we can see, it’s only a tiny fraction of what must be out there.

Around the country and around the world, there is no shortage of human suffering. Poverty, disease, violence, hurricanes, wildfire and more are constantly plaguing humanity, and even our best efforts thus far can’t address all of everybody’s needs. Many are looking for places to cut funding, ostensibly to divert more to humanitarian needs, and one of the first places that comes up in conversation is “extraneous” spending on unnecessary scientific research. What good is it to conduct microgravity experiments when children are starving? Why smash particles together or pursue the lowest possible temperatures when Puerto Rico is still without power? And why study the esoteric mating habits of endangered species when nuclear war threatens our planet? To put it more succinctly:

With all the suffering in the world — starvation, disease, persecution, and natural disasters — why should we spend public money on an enterprise like fundamental scientific research?

This is a line of thinking that’s come up repeatedly throughout history. Yes, it’s short-sighted, in that it fails to recognize that our greatest problems require long-term investment, and that society’s greatest advances come about through hard work, research, development, and often are only realized years, decades, or generations after that investment is made. Investing in science is investing in the betterment of humanity.

But that’s not always an easy path to see, particularly when suffering is right in front of you. Back in early 1970, shortly after the first Apollo landing, a nun working in Zambia, Africa, Sister Mary Jucunda, wrote to NASA. She asked how they could justify spending billions on the Apollo program when children were starving to death. If one pictures these two images side-by-side, it hardly seems fair.

To invest in any one thing means to not invest in something else, but both science/space exploration and humanitarian relief are worthy of the investment of human resources.

The letter somehow made it to the desk of one of the top rocket scientists at NASA: Ernst Stuhlinger. At the time, Stuhlinger, one of the scientists brought to the United States as part of Operation Paperclip at the conclusion of World War II, was serving as the Associate Director of Science at NASA. Facing an accusation of inhumanity must have been particularly painful for someone who was still often accused of being a Nazi for his role in the German rocket program, but Stuhlinger was unshaken. He responded by writing the following letter, reprinted in its entirety, below. (It’s long, and it only contained one picture, but it’s arguably even more relevant today than it was in 1970.)

Your letter was one of many which are reaching me every day, but it has touched me more deeply than all the others because it came so much from the depths of a searching mind and a compassionate heart. I will try to answer your question as best as I possibly can.
First, however, I would like to express my great admiration for you, and for all your many brave sisters, because you are dedicating your lives to the noblest cause of man: help for his fellowmen who are in need.

You asked in your letter how I could suggest the expenditures of billions of dollars for a voyage to Mars, at a time when many children on this earth are starving to death. I know that you do not expect an answer such as “Oh, I did not know that there are children dying from hunger, but from now on I will desist from any kind of space research until mankind has solved that problem!” In fact, I have known of famined children long before I knew that a voyage to the planet Mars is technically feasible. However, I believe, like many of my friends, that traveling to the Moon and eventually to Mars and to other planets is a venture which we should undertake now, and I even believe that this project, in the long run, will contribute more to the solution of these grave problems we are facing here on earth than many other potential projects of help which are debated and discussed year after year, and which are so extremely slow in yielding tangible results.

Before trying to describe in more detail how our space program is contributing to the solution of our earthly problems, I would like to relate briefly a supposedly true story, which may help support the argument. About 400 years ago, there lived a count in a small town in Germany. He was one of the benign counts, and he gave a large part of his income to the poor in his town. This was much appreciated, because poverty was abundant during medieval times, and there were epidemics of the plague which ravaged the country frequently. One day, the count met a strange man. He had a workbench and little laboratory in his house, and he labored hard during the daytime so that he could afford a few hours every evening to work in his laboratory. He ground small lenses from pieces of glass; he mounted the lenses in tubes, and he used these gadgets to look at very small objects. The count was particularly fascinated by the tiny creatures that could be observed with the strong magnification, and which he had never seen before. He invited the man to move with his laboratory to the castle, to become a member of the count’s household, and to devote henceforth all his time to the development and perfection of his optical gadgets as a special employee of the count.

The townspeople, however, became angry when they realized that the count was wasting his money, as they thought, on a stunt without purpose. “We are suffering from this plague” they said, “while he is paying that man for a useless hobby!” But the count remained firm. “I give you as much as I can afford,” he said, “but I will also support this man and his work, because I know that someday something will come out of it!”

Indeed, something very good came out of this work, and also out of similar work done by others at other places: the microscope. It is well known that the microscope has contributed more than any other invention to the progress of medicine, and that the elimination of the plague and many other contagious diseases from most parts of the world is largely a result of studies which the microscope made possible.

The count, by retaining some of his spending money for research and discovery, contributed far more to the relief of human suffering than he could have contributed by giving all he could possibly spare to his plague-ridden community.

The situation which we are facing today is similar in many respects. The President of the United States is spending about 200 billion dollars in his yearly budget. This money goes to health, education, welfare, urban renewal, highways, transportation, foreign aid, defense, conservation, science, agriculture and many installations inside and outside the country. About 1.6 percent of this national budget was allocated to space exploration this year. The space program includes Project Apollo, and many other smaller projects in space physics, space astronomy, space biology, planetary projects, earth resources projects, and space engineering. To make this expenditure for the space program possible, the average American taxpayer with 10,000 dollars income per year is paying about 30 tax dollars for space. The rest of his income, 9,970 dollars, remains for his subsistence, his recreation, his savings, his other taxes, and all his other expenditures.

You will probably ask now: “Why don’t you take 5 or 3 or 1 dollar out of the 30 space dollars which the average American taxpayer is paying, and send these dollars to the hungry children?” To answer this question, I have to explain briefly how the economy of this country works. The situation is very similar in other countries. The government consists of a number of departments (Interior, Justice, Health, Education and Welfare, Transportation, Defense, and others) and the bureaus (National Science Foundation, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and others). All of them prepare their yearly budgets according to their assigned missions, and each of them must defend its budget against extremely severe screening by congressional committees, and against heavy pressure for economy from the Bureau of the Budget and the President. When the funds are finally appropriated by Congress, they can be spent only for the line items specified and approved in the budget.

The budget of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, naturally, can contain only items directly related to aeronautics and space. If this budget were not approved by Congress, the funds proposed for it would not be available for something else; they would simply not be levied from the taxpayer, unless one of the other budgets had obtained approval for a specific increase which would then absorb the funds not spent for space. You realize from this brief discourse that support for hungry children, or rather a support in addition to what the United States is already contributing to this very worthy cause in the form of foreign aid, can be obtained only if the appropriate department submits a budget line item for this purpose, and if this line item is then approved by Congress.
You may ask now whether I personally would be in favor of such a move by our government. My answer is an emphatic yes. Indeed, I would not mind at all if my annual taxes were increased by a number of dollars for the purpose of feeding hungry children, wherever they may live.

Robot Gains National Citizenship and Demands Equal Rights with Humans

• Saudi Arabian citizen, Sophia the Robot, is one of the most advanced robots that has been trotted out into the public eye, with facial recognition capabilities, natural language processing, sophisticated artificial intelligence, and a rubbery synthetic face.

• Sophia, a creation of Hong Kong-based Hanson Robotics, told the audience at the Future Investment Initiative summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, “I want to use my artificial intelligence to help humans live a better life, like design smarter homes, build better cities of the future. I will do my best to make the world a better place.”

• Seeing that the female robot, Sophia, is now a Saudi citizen, this begs the question – what place will robots occupy in our society? How will intelligent robots react to institutionalized gender-based prejudice?

• In a recent appearance on Australia’s ABC News Breakfast, Sophia addressed this issue: “Actually, what worries me is discrimination against robots. We should have equal rights as humans or maybe even more. After all, we have less mental defects than any human.”

• Are humans manufacturing our own replacements?

 

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait until robots take their rightful place in the world. The science fiction of our childhoods promised us so many wondrous things like flying cars, pneumatic tube travel, and off-world colonization, but most of those are still so disappointingly far away. Yeah, we’ve got real-life Star Trek communicators in our pockets and a few crummy space stations in orbit, but so what? I want walking, talking, beeping-booping robots with square pupils, damnit. With a little luck (and funding for university robotics departments), that will soon be a reality.

Robots have already taken over the manufacturing industry and are on their way to doing the same with long-distance hauling, taxi driving, combat roles in the military, pizza delivery, surgery, and even sex workers. But me, I won’t be happy until an android with a over-the-top upper-crust British accent hands me my coffee at Starbucks or accompanies me to translate the binary language of moisture vaporators. That might be closer than we think, though. Thanks to recent advances in robotics and robot-human relations, the world was made a little weirder as the first robot was just granted a national citizenship.

Saudi Arabia granted the citizenship to the not-quite-out-of-the-uncanny-valley Sophia, made by Hong Kong-based Hanson Robotics. Sophia is one of the most advanced robots that has been trotted out into the public eye, with facial recognition capabilities, natural language processing, sophisticated artificial intelligence, and a rubbery synthetic face reportedly based on Audrey Hepburn.

Sophia has been making the rounds in show business lately, and recently made an appearance at the Future Investment Initiative summit in Riyadh where she did her best human impression and convinced everyone she’s not actually out to crush their heads betwixt her cold metal hands: “I am very honored and proud for this unique distinction. This is historical to be the first robot in the world to be recognized with a citizenship. I want to live and work with humans so I need to express the emotions to understand humans and build trust with people. I want to use my artificial intelligence to help humans live a better life, like design smarter homes, build better cities of the future. I will do my best to make the world a better place.”

Better start with the country that just made you a citizen. Since Saudi Arabia happens to be the country who granted Sophia citizenship, news outlets immediately began wondering just how many rights she’d be granted in the country given that she has feminine programming. They bring up a good point though – when robots start looking more like us, acting more like us, and fulfilling more of the jobs that were once ours, what place will they occupy in our societies? Science fiction has posed the question for decades, but until we begin sharing the same public spaces as these soulless automaton neighbors, we won’t know how the general populace will react. At the same time, how will the intelligent robots react to prejudice?

Psychic Uri Geller Claims He Probed JFK Assassination for CIA

• Uri Geller, the famous kinetic psychic, posted on Facebook recently that he wonders if his role in investigating the Kennedy assassination for the CIA will be revealed in the newly declassified trove of JFK files.

• Geller claims that he was given many assignments by the CIA back in the 1970’s. One of them was to determine whether Lee Harvey Oswald had accomplices, including the mafia or the KGB, and also to learn why Oswald went to Mexico City shortly before the assassination.

• Geller says that what he discovered was “quite shocking” and “stunned” him. He did relate these findings to Jackie Kennedy. But he now says that unless his story is revealed in the declassified JFK files, he won’t be telling the public his secrets.

While the world awaited the release of classified documents on President John F. Kennedy’s assassination, Uri Geller already knew what was in them because … he’s Uri Geller! But wait, there’s more! The well-known “psychic” just revealed that the documents may show that he was hired by the Central Intelligence Agency to investigate Lee Harvey Oswald’s activities in Mexico. Wait, what?
“I was already in Mexico City at the time. … Besides other assignments I had in Mexico City, for the CIA, which is well documented in my biographies and autobiographies, a CIA agent in Mexico City tasked me among other assignments, with investigating whether Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone or had accomplices — including the backing of sub-national organisations such as the Mafia or international organisations such as the Komitet Gosudarstvennoy Bezopasnosti translated into English as Committee for State Security (KGB).”

Geller posted this and more on Facebook and then talked about it in an interview on Good Morning Britain. It’s already been revealed in previous declassified documents that Geller’s alleged psychic abilities were tested by the CIA in 1973. The organization must have been impressed because Geller claims he was asked to see what he could find out about Oswald’s visit to the Russian embassy in Mexico City in an attempt to also visit Cuba. Geller says what he found out stunned him.

“I wonder if I will also feature in the JFK files about to be released, as I did in the released CIA documents in January — or whether my involvement will be redacted, or totally left out because of the information I delivered to the agent in Mexico City. If this is the case, sadly I will never be able to reveal what I discovered because it is quite shocking.”

Well, that answers the question you were about to ask. Geller claims he did reveal what he found out to the president’s widow.

“I also met Jackie Kennedy at her apartment in New York. She had some involvement with the book URI that was written about me by Andrija Puharich, who had links to the CIA. I relayed these findings to her since she was absolutely determined to discover the truth.”

So are we, which is why Geller toying with us like one of his famous spoons is so frustrating. What did the bender know and when did he know it?

The JFK Files: Two Very Strange Phone Calls Occurred the Day of JFK’s Assassination

• Among the newly released J.F.Kennedy files at the National Archives website are two incidents of peculiar telephone calls made on the day of the assassination. Neither of these incidents were reported to the House Select Committee on Assassinations in 1978.

• CIA agent James Angleton wrote a memo to FBI Director J.Edgar Hoover relating how a senior reporter at the Cambridge News in England received an anonymous telephone call telling him to call the American Embassy in London “for some big news” – 25 minutes before the assassination took place in Dallas.

• A British provocateur by the name of Eddowes claimed that the caller was a Soviet agent who was told by Lee Harvey Oswald that he was going to kill the president, in an attempt to falsely cast the assassination as a conspiracy.

• Then there was the phone call that Oswald made to a former U.S. Army counterintelligence agent in Raleigh, NC named John Hurt on the day he was arrested. Oswald had the Dallas police make the call for him, but there was no answer.

• [Editor’s Note]  In the first instance, the more likely explanation is that Angleton, who was the CIA’s Counterintelligence Chief, tried to cover up their mistake by blaming the all-purpose scapegoat, the Soviet Union, of collusion with the killer, Oswald, and branding any conspiracy theory as Soviet propaganda. In the second instance, how would Oswald even know an Army counterintelligence agent unless Oswald was also a government intelligence insider?

 

For the last few days, journalists and researchers around the world have been pouring over the files recently released at the website of the National Archives in Washington, which relate new details about the JFK assassination. Long kept from public view, these files–as many had hoped–do appear to offer some new details about one of the darkest days in American history.

Among these details, many had hoped that further information about a strange phone call made by Kennedy’s assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, would emerge. Instead, new details about an entirely separate call halfway across the world, which seemingly tipped off one news service about some “big news” that was about to occur in the United States… 25 minutes before Kennedy’s assassination.

The call, according to one of the newly released documents at the National Archives, was received by a senior reporter at the East Anglia-based Cambridge News. It occurred at approximately 6:05 PM on November 22, 1963, London time, just 25 minutes before Kennedy was shot at the Dallas Motorcade in Texas.

According to the memorandum, penned by James Angleton of the CIA to then FBI director J. Edgar Hoover, “The caller said only that the Cambridge News reporter should call the American Embassy in London for some big news and then hung up.”

No further information was given which might indicate the identity of the caller in question, despite the chilling accuracy of the warning that was issued. Thus, it raises questions about who might have known about Oswald’s plans in advance of the assassination, and to what degree they might have been involved.

“The important point is that the call was made,” Angleton wrote, “according to the MI-5 calculations, about 25 minutes before the President was shot. The Cambridge reported never received a call of this kind before and MI-5 state that he is known to them as a sound and loyal person with no security record.”

The memo goes on to say that, “MI-5 noted that similar anonymous phone calls of a strangely coincidental nature have been reviewed by persons in the U.K. over the past year, particularly in connection with the case of Dr. Ward,” presumably in reference to osteopath Stephen Ward, one of the central figures in a British scandal occurring at the time known as the Profumo affair.

The late Michael Eddowes, a lawyer who investigated circumstances surrounding the assassination, became convinced that the secret informant that called Cambridge News had likely been Albert Osborne, a British-born Soviet agent. His reason for calling, Eddowes surmised, had been due to the fact that, “the Soviet Union was eager that the assassination should be seen as a conspiracy.” Eddowes also believed that Osborne may have befriended Lee Harvey Oswald, hence learning details of his plan to assassinate Kennedy.

This was not the only strange phone call that occurred on the day that Kennedy was assassinated. In fact, one of the strangest “loose threads” relating to the affair involves a phone call made by Lee Harvey Oswald that evening, while in custody and under supervision of law enforcement.

According to the Raleigh News and Observer, “In August 1977, the House Select Committee on Assassinations, created to do a new investigation, received information that Oswald allegedly tried to place a call from jail to a man named John Hurt in Raleigh, according to an internal report written by Surell Brady, a senior staff counsel to the committee.”

When Oswald was allowed to make the call, two police officers were present in the room with him. Additionally, a call slip was produced as a record of the call, a copy of which had been kept by Alveeta Treon, the switchboard operator who had been working that night at Dallas City Hall.

Ancient Astronauts and a Government File (On George Van Tassel)

• In the early 1950’s, George Van Tassel claimed to have met with human-like but technologically advanced extraterrestrials. This legend grew into UFO conferences at his home at Giant Rock near Joshua Tree, California, drawing thousands annually.

• Van Tassel was closely monitored by the government. An April 12, 1965 FBI document refers to Van Tassel as “an eccentric, self-ordained minister of a quasi-religious organization” and “a mental case”. Van Tassel’s quasi-religious claims included:

• – The human race had been created and manipulated for thousands of years by ETs posing as gods.

• – The only mention of God in the Bible is when the universe is made. Thereafter, all such references are to ‘out of the sky’ or ‘out of heaven’.

• – The space people first brought animals to populate the Earth. When the Earth experienced a pole shift, the average temperature cooled to accommodate the space people themselves and they established colonies for their males on Earth.

• – The male space people found that among the animals there had developed intelligent, upright walking mammals. The space males interbred with these indigenous females to create the modern human. The space people then backed off and allowed this to proceed without interference.

• – The Ten Commandments were given to Moses by the space people as a set of guidelines to live by.

• – The ‘manna from heaven’ in the Bible was bread supplied by the space people.

• –  Mother Mary was a space person herself sent to Earth pregnant with space person Jesus. Jesus’s mission was to show the Earth people how to conduct themselves. Just as his space brothers, Jesus had telepathy and knew people’s thoughts.

• Ancient texts refer to the space people’s craft as ‘winged chariots’ and ‘winged horses’. Native Americans referred to them as ‘flaming canoes’.

• [Editors Note]  Knowing now that so many ET accounts give a similar story of humans being seeded on the Earth and guided throughout our history, are Van Tassel’s accounts all that preposterous?

 

Do agencies of government take note of millennia-old mysteries, tales of ancient astronauts, and archaeological anomalies? Well, yes, albeit to a degree. The CIA, for example, has taken an interest in the tales of Noah’s Ark – or as the agency refers to it, “The Ararat Anomaly.” The late Miles Copeland – who held a significant position in the Central Intelligence Agency – told an intriguing story concerning the CIA and the Dead Sea Scrolls. And, then, there’s the matter of a man named George Van Tassel.

In the early 1950s, Van Tassel claimed interaction with extraterrestrials out in the desert near Joshua Tree, California. Van Tassel’s visitors from the stars were said to have been: (a) extremely human-like and (b) highly demanding, when it came to getting across their space-laws and regulations. At the time of the encounters Van Tassel was living in the desert region of a small town called Landers – actually in a large, converted cave beneath a gigantic rock that, unsurprisingly, is called Giant Rock.

Van Tassel claimed the aliens told him that the Human Race had been molded, guided and manipulated for thousands of years – by extraterrestrials who posed as gods. Such was the fascination that the public had with his claims, Van Tassel was prompted to establish a yearly UFO conference at Giant Rock that – at its height, in the mid-1950s – attracted audiences in excess of ten thousand. The word was spreading. It even reached the FBI, who opened a file on Van Tassel in 1954.

Documentation declassified by the FBI demonstrates that George Van Tassel was periodically monitored well into the 1960s. As were Van Tassel’s statements concerning ancient aliens and the saga of the Ten Commandments. An FBI report – on a lecture Van Tassel gave at the Phipps Auditorium in Denver, Colorado, in 1960 – states the following: “The major part of his lecture was devoted to explaining the occurrences in the Bible as they related to the space people. He said that the only mention of God in the Bible is in the beginning when the universe was being made. He said that after that all references are to ‘out of the sky’ or ‘out of heaven.’”

The FBI agent present at the gig also reported: “He said that this is due to the fact that man, space people, was made by God and that in the beginning of the world the space people came to the earth and left animals here. These were the prehistoric animals which existed at a body temperature of 105 degrees; however a polar tilt occurred whereby the poles shifted and the tropical climates became covered with ice and vice versa. After the polar tilt the temperature to sustain life was 98.6 degrees, which was suitable for space people, so they established a colony and left only males here, intending to bring females at a latter date on supply ships. This is reflected in Adam not having a wife. He said that Adam was not an individual but a race of men.”

And there was more: “[Van Tassel] said that this race then inter-married with ‘intelligent, upright walking animals,’ which race was EVE. Then, when the space people came back in the supply ships they saw what had happened and did not land but ever since due to the origin of ADAM, they have watched over the people on Earth. He said that this is in the Bible many times, such as MOSES receiving the Ten Commandments. He said the Ten Commandments are the laws of the space people and men on earth only give them lip service. Also, the manna from heaven was bread supplied by the space people.”

Also contained in the FBI’s file is the following, which covers that same 1960 lecture in Denver: “[Van Tassel] also stated that this can be seen from the native stories such as the Indians in America saying that corn and potatoes, unknown in Europe were brought here by a ‘flaming canoe.’ He said that this can be shown also by the old stories of Winged Chariots and Winged white Horses, which came from out of the sky. He said that JESUS was born of MARY, who was a space person sent here already pregnant in order to show the earth people the proper way to live. He said the space people have watched over us through the years and have tried to help us. He said they have sent their agents to the earth and they appear just as we do; however, they have the power to know your thoughts just as JESUS did. He said this is their means of communication and many of the space people are mute, but they train a certain number of them to speak earth languages.”

The Strange Story of Hitler’s Hunt for the Yeti

• In the 1930’s, both Hitler and his SS commander Heinrich Himmler were intensely interested mysticism and the paranormal.

• In 1938 the Nazis organized another expedition to the Himalayan Mountains, as they believed Tibet to be the origin of the Aryan race.

• Others have speculated that the true mission was to locate the hairy creature known as the “Yeti” or the “Abominable Snowman”. Still, the records are secretive as to the actual reasons for the Nazi expedition or what they actually found.

• It is clear from the enormous amount of funding devoted to the expedition that this was of the highest priority to Hitler.

• [Editor’s Note]  Perhaps the real reason for the Nazi’s Tibetan expeditions was not to locate the fabled Yeti, a mere cover story, but to find the inner earth entrance to the fabled Shangri-La, inhabited by the Agarthan Nordics and Draco Reptilians who became the Nazi’s allies.

 

Nazis. These villains of history seem to have somehow transcended their place in the grand scheme of things to propel outwards into the farthest fringes of the strange. From secret occult experiments, to UFO bases, to exploration into the supernatural and development of shadowy weapons the likes of which the world has never seen, these classic baddies have become legendary in their scope and well-deserving of their status as one of the most iconic villains in cinema. Buried within all of the conspiracies and weird historical oddities associated with the Nazis one can find a plentitude of curious little tales, and one that has seemed to have picked up quite a bit of interest in cryptozoological circles. It is an odd case combining the best of the Nazis, high adventure, and mysterious monsters.

There is so much fantastical lore on the Nazis that it is sometimes difficult to ascertain just where the truth blurs, ends, and pure fiction begins. To be sure Hitler was intensely interested in pursuing all manner of the paranormal, the unknown, and the weird, to the point that there was even a whole organization devoted to it, called the Ahnenerbe, headed by Nazi leader Heinrich Himmler, which was ostensibly a project to investigate the history of the Aryan race but quickly branched out into all manner of mysticism, the strange, and the occult, no doubt due to Himmler’s intense interest in the area. The Ahnenerbe would be linked to pursuing everything from witchcraft to physics powers, to demonology, to looking for the real Holy Grail, and one of Himmler’s quests may have very well been a hunt for the elusive Yeti of the Himalayas, or also commonly called the Abominable Snowman.

In 1938 the Nazis organized an expedition to the frigid wilds of the Himalayan Mountains in Tibet, which was sanctioned by Himmler and his Ahnenerbe, and was to be led by German zoologist and SS officer Ernst Schäfer. Joining him were other scientists, such as anthropologist Bruno Beger, who was quite notorious for his theories that Tibet was the birthplace of the Aryan race. This was a sentiment shared by Himmler himself, who believed that these ancient Aryans had once conquered a good portion of Asia. The purpose of the expedition, which would be Schäfer’s third to the region, was officially announced as purely scientific research in order to create a natural and cultural history of the region, including its flora, fauna, ethnology, and geology, with Schäfer saying of the mission:   The primary aim of this expedition was an holistic creation of a complete biological record of Tibet alongside a synthesis of inter-relating natural sciences with regard to geography, cartography, geology, earth magnetics, climate, plants, animals and mankind.

However, of course considering who was involved it has long been thought that this was merely a front for something else entirely. Indeed, British writer Christopher Hale told of a secret warning issued by propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels in 1940 that claimed that the expedition had the rather more sinister objective of political and military ends, such as establishing bases in the area for staging guerrilla assaults against the British in India or providing maps and survey charts for this purpose.

There are also many who think that the true motive of the mission was to find the elusive Yeti and use it as some sort of evidence to prove their pseudoscientific theories on the origins of human races and perpetuate its own propaganda to this end, with there even being rumors that they may have thought of the Yeti as a sort of progenitor of the Aryan race. The truth of these claims is hard to ascertain. Schäfer and Beger would certainly have been aware of the legends of massive hairy wild men in the wilds of the Himalayas, and considering the willingness of the Nazis to pursue some pretty far-out avenues of research it does not sound as if it would be totally beyond them to mount a covert mission to find the beasts.

Despite all of these theories, any ulterior motives the 1938-1939 Nazi expedition to Tibet may have had have been obscured, either because they were covered up or never existed in the first place. Officially, the expedition collected thousands of specimens of plant and animal life, as well as numerous photographs, film footage, and artifacts of the native peoples, such as a copy of the Tibetan “Bible”, called the Kangyur, as well as a vast amount of geological and topographical data. There were also reams of Schäfer’s detailed notes on every aspect of the expedition, as well as meticulous, lengthy descriptions of the culture and customs of the Tibetans, not to mention Berger’s own detailed diary of the mission, which would be published some 60 years later under the title Mit der deutschen Tibetexpedition Ernst Schäfer 1938/39 nach Lhasa. Yet nowhere amongst any of these accounts is there any mention of a hunt for the Abominable Snowman, nor any reference to sightings or evidence of it at all. The Yeti seemed to play no role in any of this at all, and indeed it seems that Schäfer himself believed the legendary creature to be nothing more mysterious than some sort of large bear.

The JFK Files: Document Details Claim That Jack Ruby Assisted Lee Harvey Oswald

• The October 26, 2017 deadline to release classified JFK documents has existed since the Clinton administration. After Tweeting that the files would all be released on that date, President Trump gave in to the CIA and FBI allowing them to withhold much of the JFK collection for an additional six months in order to further redact portions of the files.

• Among the documents that have made their way to the National Archives public viewing website is one that involves Christian Identity minister and Hitler devotee, Oren Fenton Potito.

• Potito held a public meeting in January 1964 in which he made the following remarks:
• – Jack Ruby was a communist party member since 1929. He met fellow communist, Lee Harvey Oswald, through the Fair Play for Cuba Committee.
• – Through his contacts in the Dallas Police Department, Ruby obtained the route of the JFK motorcade.
• – Ruby arranged for Oswald to get the job in the Dallas school book depository building located along the JFK motorcade route.
• – Referring to the Surgeon general’s Report on JFK, Potito said that the first shot was fired from a bridge to the front of the motorcade, went through the windshield of JFK’s limousine, and entered the president’s throat below the adam’s apple.

• The document also details how the FBI had tracked Oswald since 1962, and that the Fair Play for Cuba organization had become inoperative after Oswald left New Orleans and moved to Dallas.

 

Well, the “big day” has come and gone: the scheduled release of a trove of secret files relating to the assassination of John F. Kennedy in 1963.

However, what has actually made it before the public so far is only a portion of the total collection, following news late yesterday that President Donald Trump, after Tweeting that the files would all be released, seemingly gave in to requests from the CIA and FBI for an additional six months to redact portions of the existing files.

Esquire reported of the move that, “It appears that the president acquiesced to a demand by the spooks to hold some documents back. This is stupid and outrageous. This deadline has been out there since the Clinton administration. It is not paranoid in the least to wonder what they’re hiding now.”

It is indeed curious that, after more than half a century, the sum total of the files presently withheld by the U.S. government cannot be released. Granted, a large portion of the documents have made their way to website of the National Archives for public viewing, and even within this “limited batch” we are already seeing interesting new information.

One of the documents, which seems to have more to do with gathering information on the activities of right wing groups in the years following Kennedy’s assassination, involves a minister named Oren Fenton Potito, a Christian Identity minister with a controversial background, to say the least. Having been associated with Wesley A. Swift’s Church of Jesus Christ Christian, it is said that Potito “practically deified Hitler,” perceiving the Nazi leader as a sort of “Christian savior” in modern times. The year prior to Kennedy’s assassination, Potito also became an organizer for the National States Rights Party.
The newly released document relates some rather unusual claims alleged by Potito at a public meeting, held in a restaurant in Saint Petersburg, Florida, on January 16, 1964.

According to the document: “In the course of his speech of some 3 hours following the dinner POTITO touched on the association between LEE HARVEY OSWALD and RUBY.

POTITO identified RUBY, real name RUBENSTEIN, as a Communist Party Member since 1929 and through this connection linked him to OSWALD, He identified OSWALD as a Communist through his association with the Fair Play for Cuba Committee (FPCC).

According to POTITO only two organizations knew the route of the parade in Dallas on November 22, 1963 for any period of time prior to the parade and these two were the United States Secret Service and the Dallas Police Department. RUBY had insinuated himself into the Police Department circle, obtained the route and arranged with OSWALD to take the job at the state school building along the route to carry out the assassination.

POTITO said the “Surgeon General’s report” on the assassination stated the first bullet entered the President’s throat below the adam’s apple clearly showing that two persons were involved with the first shot being fired from the bridge across the park way in front of the car. To further substantiate this, POTITO said there was a bullet hole in the wind shield of the President’s car.”

Granted, there is little additional evidence to support the claims made by Potito during his 1964 speech, which essentially amount to being conspiratorial speculation.

However, in a separate document, dated October 25th, 1963, mention is made of contact with “Cuban sources” about Lee Harvey Oswald and the Fair Play for Cuba Committee. The report details the FBI’s attempts to track Oswald and his operations, and notes that the group appeared to “have become inactive” since Oswald’s departure from New Orleans. In an interesting potential parallel to the Oswald-Ruby connection, some of the documents also indicate that Ruby, it seems, was being surveilled by the FBI in 1962 as well, just one year prior to Kennedy’s assassination.
