Pentagon UFO Videos Marking Return of Biblical Extraterrestrials

Article by Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz                              May 3, 2020                            (breakingisraelnews.com)

• The Pentagon recently released and confirmed the three unidentified aerial phenomenon videos taken by US Navy fighter jets in 2005 and in 2015 of wingless aircraft traveling at hypersonic speeds with no visible means of propulsion. One Navy pilot, Retired Cmdr. David Fravor told ABC News, “I can tell you, I think it was not from this world.” “I have never seen anything in my life, in my history of flying that has the performance, the acceleration — keep in mind this thing had no wings.”

• Unidentified aircraft with ‘other-worldly’ technology should not come as a surprise to Biblical scholars familiar with Jewish tradition. The appearance of ‘aliens’ may be a harbinger to the coming of the Messiah.

• The sixth chapter of Genesis describes interactions between strange creatures called ‘Nephilim’ (literally ‘the fallen’) and men. “It was then, and later too, that the Nephilim appeared on earth—when the divine beings cohabited with the daughters of men, who bore them offspring. They were the heroes of old, the men of renown.” Genesis 6:4

• In the pre-flood era of Noah, the Bible says that the “Sons of Elohim” cohabited with the daughters of men, and God immediately decided to limit man’s lifespan to one-hundred and twenty years. The offspring of these unions were called ‘Nephillim’.

• The nephillim are mentioned again in the Book of Numbers as some of the giant residents of Israel present after the Exodus. “We saw the Nephilim there—the ‘Anakites’ are part of the Nephilim—and we looked like grasshoppers to ourselves, and so we must have looked to them.” Numbers 13:33

• Some Biblical scholars also point to Judges as proof of extraterrestrials. “The stars fought from heaven, From their courses they fought against Sisera… “Curse Meroz!” said the angel of Hashem. “Bitterly curse its inhabitants, Because they came not to the aid of Hashem, To the aid of Hashem among the warriors.” Judges 5:20-23 According to the Talmud, Meroz is a certain planet in the stellar sphere whose inhabitants were cursed for refusing to do God’s will.

• The Talmud (Sanhedrin 97a) describes how the ‘nephillim’ will return as a part of the Messianic process. In the Talmud, Rabbi Yitzchak asks Rabbi Nachman, “Do you know when Bar Naphli (the son of the fallen Nephilim) will come?” Rav Nachman replies, “It is Messiah”. In the language of the Talmud, ‘Naphli’ means “giant”. This is based on a verse from Amos which connects ‘nophelet’ (the fallen) with the return of the House of David. So “Bar Naphli” refers to specific ‘giants’ who are connected with the coming of the Messiah.

The Pentagon released three videos taken from U.S. Navy fighter jets, confirming the videos showed “unexplained aerial phenomenon”, seeming to admit for the first time that the Earth has been visited by alien species with advanced technology. This should not come as a surprise to Biblical scholars and according to Jewish tradition, the appearance of aliens may be a harbinger to the Messiah.

VIDEOS OF WINGLESS AIRCRAFT AT HYPERSONIC SPEEDS

Last Monday, Susan Gough, a Defense Department spokesperson, released a statement confirming that the videos, which had appeared on the internet, were authentic. The footage seems to show wingless aircraft traveling at hypersonic speeds with no visible means of propulsion.

The official confirmation was intended “to clear up any misconceptions by the public on whether or not the footage that has been circulating was real or whether or not there is more to the videos.”

“The aerial phenomena observed in the videos remain characterized as ‘unidentified’”, the statement said. The Department of Defense has authorized the release of three unclassified Navy videos. One video taken in November 2004 and another in January 2015 were recorded by F/A-18 Hornet fighter pilots during military training exercises in restricted airspace. Another was also recorded in January 2015. The videos have been circulating in the public domain after unauthorized releases in 2007 and 2017.

“After a thorough review, the department has determined that the authorized release of these unclassified videos does not reveal any sensitive capabilities or systems, and does not impinge on any subsequent investigations of military air space incursions by unidentified aerial phenomena.”

Two of the videos were included in a December 2017 New York Times article that explained how the U.S. government ran a program for investigating reports of unidentified flying objects until 2012. The third video was released in March 2018 by To the Stars Academy of Arts and Science, a private scientific research and media group.

PILOTS REACT

Retired Cmdr. David Fravor spoke to ABC News in 2017 about the video he filmed during a routine training flight approximately 100 miles out over the Pacific, in November 2004.

“I can tell you, I think it was not from this world,” Fravor said to ABC. “I’m not crazy, haven’t been drinking. It was — after 18 years of flying, I’ve seen pretty much about everything that I can see in that realm, and this was nothing close.”

“I have never seen anything in my life, in my history of flying that has the performance, the acceleration — keep in mind this thing had no wings.”
Navy pilot Lt. Danny Accoin said in the 2019 History Channel documentary series Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation that unlike fighter jets, the airborne objects in the videos had “no distinct wing, no distinct tail, no distinct exhaust plume.”

Ancient Civilizations and the Sixties: The Obsession with Ancient Astronauts

by Tobias Churton                      February 11, 2019                        (ancient-origins.net)

• The 1960’s was a decade when mainstream minds opened up to the possibility that we might owe a lot more to extraterrestrials than just compelling sci fi entertainment.

• Erich von Däniken’s book Chariots of the Gods?, published in 1968, explored the idea that alien beings visited Earth in the distant past, having technologies that we are only now capable of understanding. Chariots alludes to a Biblical prophesy of ET’s coming back to usher in a New Age. In II Kings 2:3-9 the prophet Elijah ascended to heaven in a “fiery chariot” with horses in a whirlwind. This was interpreted as a spacecraft. But Elijah was the herald who would signal the “Day of the Lord” (Yom Jahveh) and the last judgment. So the Bible’s apocalyptic scheme could be interpreted as a parousia of superior technology from outer space, constituting the New Age. And this New Age would only come when our own technology had reached a stage where we would not be paralyzed with awe and fear at the sight of an alien and their technology.

• Stanley Kubrick’s 1968 movie 2001 A Space Odyssey directly attributes the evolution of an ancient civilization to alien contact . And it involved a quasi-spiritual transformative experience as depicted in the film’s psychedelic tripping special-effects climax, which was well received by 1960’s audiences. Thus, the Sixties “Peace Movement” acquired spiritual, apocalyptic dimensions. “Evidence” for such celestial interest could be sought in the mysterious archaeology of ancient civilizations, while “psychics” provided extraterrestrial messages of tedious consistency: peace and love.

• The issue of an alleged alien role in human civilization was compounded by a prevalent suspicion that the Earth’s destiny was being secretly directed by “hidden masters”, in the U.S. generally identified with a secret government. This zeitgeist spawned numerous conspiracy/paranoia movies and shows such as the drama series The Invaders which posited the secret takeover of government agencies by aliens indistinguishable from human authorities, and the children’s adventure story “Tintin” where he accidentally uncovers underground primitive temples whose enormous stone figures strongly resemble astronauts. Tintin starts receiving telepathic messages as does a freelance UFO scientist who is in mental communication with aliens and who explains how the ancient people of the island worshiped extraterrestrials as gods. At the adventure’s climax, Tintin and friends are lifted from the exploding island by a flying saucer telepathically summoned.

• Possibly the first manifestation of the “counter-culture” as a self-conscious entity was seen in the free-spirit mindset of swinging London in the 1960’s. Much of it revolved around a Cambridge graduate nic-named “Hoppy” who walked away from a career as a nuclear physicist to form an underground photo exchange guild among the prominent faces in the London art and music scene, sort of like the first social media. This served to create a dynamic context for communication and knowledge, and a cohesive sense of belonging and common purpose within the London counter-culture. This led to Rhaune Laslett and others launching the infamous London “Free School” in Notting Hill, west London, a utopian place where people could be educated in esoteric knowledge. In 1966, Hoppy established the UFO Club, a popular venue that experimented in psychedelic light and sound. The Pink Floyd (with Syd Barrett) played there regularly and held a benefit show to raise money for the Free School.  (see 29:47 minute video of the Pink Floyd performing for swinging Londoners at the UFO Club, including John Lennon of the Beatles, below)

• The Free School was located in the basement of a house belonging to John Frederic Carden Michell. Michell saw the emergence of the UFO phenomenon as giving leverage to the opening of minds to new ideas about human origins. Michell offered Free School courses in UFO’s, ley lines, and Gnostic traditions. Michell supported William Blake’s dynamic psycho-spiritual and geographical myths, and believed that the British Isles held a unique role in the return of traditional consciousness to the world. And it was Michell who drew up the Glastonbury Festival “pyramid” stage on proper cosmic dimensions. Glastonbury stands today as a living monument to this fertile Sixties-based impetus.

Amid numerous secular apocalypses of the Sixties, we cannot ignore the remarkable impact of Erich von Däniken’s book Chariots of the Gods? (the question-mark is, note, frequently omitted). Published in 1968, Chariots of the Gods? explored the idea that alien beings visited Earth in the distant past and stimulated ancient civilizations with knowledge of interstellar travel and technical feats now familiar to viewers of the Sixties Space Race and Star Trek . While von Däniken took enormous liberties with “factual fiction” to produce a compelling bestseller, the book’s interest for us lies in how its extremely colorful story was interpreted.

Chariots of the Gods

Everything we have been discussing about the Sixties had fertilized the imaginative soil into which the “chariots of the gods” idea was cast. Not content with relating heavenly symbols in Akkadian tablets discovered in Mesopotamia to pre-Columbian inscriptions of deities in contexts which—with the benefit of imaginations primed for the purpose—could be interpreted as resembling “spacecraft”, the author reinterpreted biblical stories on analogous lines, initiating a trend that continues to this day. For example, von Däniken took the description of prophet Elijah assumed to heaven in a “fiery chariot” with horses in a whirlwind (II Kings 2:3-9) as the way a ninth century BC individual would describe a flying saucer, or the like, descending to earth and taking—even abducting—a human being out of this world. And here is the nub of our point. Elijah was widely believed in Jesus’s time to be the herald whose coming to earth would signal the “Day of the Lord” (Yom Jahveh) and the last judgment. So—taking the alien scenario as a framework—if a heavenly figure returned by alien spacecraft, then the Bible’s apocalyptic scheme could be interpreted as an eventual parousia of superior technology from outer space, constituting the New Age. Spiritual ideas were trans-placed by, and confused with, scientific technology. Very soon after von Däniken’s book appeared, earnest advocates, or “channellers”, for the “mission” of alleged “spacepeople” asserted they were coming to wrap up the mystery of human existence when, it was argued, our own technology had reached a stage when confrontation with “theirs” would not precipitate our wilting into aphasic terror and helpless awe.

Meanwhile, Kubrick’s astonishing 1968 movie 2001 A Space Odyssey suggested that even going to the Moon risked encounter with alien intelligence. The film’s climax turned psychedelic tripping through special-effects (colored lights) into a quasi-spiritual transformative experience, delighting audiences pre-oriented by chemical stimulants. 2001 directly attributed evolution of ancient civilization to alien contact . What is even more striking is how this whole quasi-religious scheme plugged in to popular ideas about U.F.O’s relating to fear of nuclear catastrophe: seeds powerfully planted in Robert Wise’s 1951 film The Day the Earth Stood Still . Thus, the Sixties “Peace Movement” acquired spiritual, apocalyptic dimensions. All that was required now was a celestial visitation and sanction. “Evidence” for such celestial interest could be sought in the mysterious archaeology of ancient civilizations, while “psychics” provided extraterrestrial messages of tedious consistency: peace and love; share and share alike; beware of the military-industrial complex! Repent ye, for the kingdom of God (or alien technology) is at hand.” You could have gotten the same messages from Top of the Pops.
Alien Role in Human Civilization

The issue of alleged alien role in human civilization was compounded by a prevalent suspicion that the Earth’s destiny was being secretly directed by supposed “hidden masters”, in the U.S. generally identified with secret government (the creepy 1967 US TV drama series The Invaders actually posited the secret takeover of government agencies by aliens indistinguishable from human authorities—aka communists—how’s that for calculated paranoia!). suspicion that government actually knew about aliens, but wasn’t telling us, fed directly into popular Belgian children’s visual storyteller Hergé’s next project, his penultimate “Tintin” adventure, Flight 714 ( Vol 714 pour Sydneyin the original French).
I well recall, aged eight, seizing on a fresh copy of this book in late 1968 from the shelves of the rather magical Victorian “Athenaeaum” private library in Melbourne, Australia, which my family used to visit on Friday nights, unaware that a launch party for the book in Paris in May of that year was prevented by the epoch-marking events of Parisian students taking to the streets in the name of revolution and anti-Gaullism.

Hergé’s story has Tintin diverted by criminals to an island south of Indonesia where he accidentally uncovers underground primitive temples whose enormous stone figures strongly resemble astronauts. Tintin starts receiving telepathic messages that draw him further into the labyrinth. Eventually he encounters a secret scientist, “Mik Kanrockitoff,” apparently a freelance U.F.O. scientist-enthusiast from the magazine Space Week, who is in mental communication with aliens and who explains how the ancient people of the island worshipped extraterrestrials as gods.

Shocking Revelations in New Book about UFOs in the Bible

by Paul Seaburn        November 3, 2017        (mysteriousuniverse.org)

• Presbyterian Reverend Barry Downing, has published a new book, Biblical UFO Revelations: Did Extraterrestrial Powers Cause Ancient Miracles?as a sequel to his 1968 book, The Bible and Flying Saucers.

• In the book, Downing speculates that the angels in the Bible are actually extraterrestrial beings; that the pillar of fire by the Red Sea in Exodus was a UFO’s propulsion system which also was used to split the Red Sea to save the Israelites; that the “bush” that spoke to Moses was an alien; that Moses went to the top of the mountain to find a space ship wherein the ETs gave him the 10 Commandments and specifications for the Tabernacle and the Ark of the Covenant; and that Jesus was himself an extraterrestrial who “ascended” in a spaceship.

• Downing asks his readers to keep an open mind.

“The UFO got in the way of the sun, causing the earth to seem darker, and this would make the ball of light show up even more where the children were.”

What is this retired Presbyterian pastor talking about? If you think this sounds like the apparitions seen by three children in Fatima, Portugal, 100 years ago – except for the UFO part – you must be a fan of Reverend Barry Downing, who makes this and many other astonishing claims in his new book, Biblical UFO Revelations: Did Extraterrestrial Powers Cause Ancient Miracles?. Wait until you hear what he thinks about the burning bush and the pillar of fire.

Barry Downing isn’t just the Pastor emeritus of Northminster Presbyterian Church in Endwell, New York. He has bachelor’s degree in physics, a degree from Princeton Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in the relation between religion and science from the University of Edinburgh of Scotland. He’s been enlightening and aggravating both theologians and ufologists since 1968 when he published his first book, The Bible and Flying Saucers, in which he equates biblical angels with space aliens.
“Church people have trouble with what I’m doing. People who’ve seen UFOs have no problem.”

That’s an understatement, considering Pope Francis talks about baptizing extraterrestrials while there are other Catholic Church leaders still arguing about Galileo. In an interview with Sean Casteel (who contributed to the book) on the website Unexplained Mysteries, Reverend Downing explains what’s in his new book, which is both an update and a sequel to the first:

“My argument is that the Exodus UFO, the pillar of cloud and fire, which appeared cloud-like during the day and glowed in the dark, used its propulsion system to split the waters of the Red Sea and save Israel from the Egyptians.”

Did religious scholars just feel a disturbance in the force? Downing calls the description of this event in Exodus 14:19-30 a “very detailed environmental impact statement.” He also looks at another significant phenomenon in that book as evidence of an encounter with an alien.“What is not amazing to me is not that we had a burning bush … we had a talking bush. A voice came to Moses from the bush.”

Downing also returns to his idea that angels were aliens who took Moses on their spaceship to receive the 10 Commandments and specifications for the Tabernacle and the Ark of the Covenant. Statements like these have been made by others and can certainly sound believable, at least to ufologists. Where Reverend Downing will likely get criticized is in statements about close encounters of the New Testament kind that he spells out on the back cover:

** That Jesus was an extraterrestrial sent to earth to rid the world of sin and wickedness, quoting Biblical text to support his claim.

** That Jesus left earth in a spaceship to another planet, or perhaps another spatial dimension.

Ancient Astronauts and a Government File (On George Van Tassel)

by Nick Redfern        October 26, 2017        (mysteriousuniverse.org)

• In the early 1950’s, George Van Tassel claimed to have met with human-like but technologically advanced extraterrestrials. This legend grew into UFO conferences at his home at Giant Rock near Joshua Tree, California, drawing thousands annually.

• Van Tassel was closely monitored by the government. An April 12, 1965 FBI document refers to Van Tassel as “an eccentric, self-ordained minister of a quasi-religious organization” and “a mental case”. Van Tassel’s quasi-religious claims included:

• – The human race had been created and manipulated for thousands of years by ETs posing as gods.

• – The only mention of God in the Bible is when the universe is made. Thereafter, all such references are to ‘out of the sky’ or ‘out of heaven’.

• – The space people first brought animals to populate the Earth. When the Earth experienced a pole shift, the average temperature cooled to accommodate the space people themselves and they established colonies for their males on Earth.

• – The male space people found that among the animals there had developed intelligent, upright walking mammals. The space males interbred with these indigenous females to create the modern human. The space people then backed off and allowed this to proceed without interference.

• – The Ten Commandments were given to Moses by the space people as a set of guidelines to live by.

• – The ‘manna from heaven’ in the Bible was bread supplied by the space people.

• –  Mother Mary was a space person herself sent to Earth pregnant with space person Jesus. Jesus’s mission was to show the Earth people how to conduct themselves. Just as his space brothers, Jesus had telepathy and knew people’s thoughts.

• Ancient texts refer to the space people’s craft as ‘winged chariots’ and ‘winged horses’. Native Americans referred to them as ‘flaming canoes’.

[Editors Note]  Knowing now that so many ET accounts give a similar story of humans being seeded on the Earth and guided throughout our history, are Van Tassel’s accounts all that preposterous?

Do agencies of government take note of millennia-old mysteries, tales of ancient astronauts, and archaeological anomalies? Well, yes, albeit to a degree. The CIA, for example, has taken an interest in the tales of Noah’s Ark – or as the agency refers to it, “The Ararat Anomaly.” The late Miles Copeland – who held a significant position in the Central Intelligence Agency – told an intriguing story concerning the CIA and the Dead Sea Scrolls. And, then, there’s the matter of a man named George Van Tassel.

In the early 1950s, Van Tassel claimed interaction with extraterrestrials out in the desert near Joshua Tree, California. Van Tassel’s visitors from the stars were said to have been: (a) extremely human-like and (b) highly demanding, when it came to getting across their space-laws and regulations. At the time of the encounters Van Tassel was living in the desert region of a small town called Landers – actually in a large, converted cave beneath a gigantic rock that, unsurprisingly, is called Giant Rock.

Van Tassel claimed the aliens told him that the Human Race had been molded, guided and manipulated for thousands of years – by extraterrestrials who posed as gods. Such was the fascination that the public had with his claims, Van Tassel was prompted to establish a yearly UFO conference at Giant Rock that – at its height, in the mid-1950s – attracted audiences in excess of ten thousand. The word was spreading. It even reached the FBI, who opened a file on Van Tassel in 1954.

Documentation declassified by the FBI demonstrates that George Van Tassel was periodically monitored well into the 1960s. As were Van Tassel’s statements concerning ancient aliens and the saga of the Ten Commandments. An FBI report – on a lecture Van Tassel gave at the Phipps Auditorium in Denver, Colorado, in 1960 – states the following: “The major part of his lecture was devoted to explaining the occurrences in the Bible as they related to the space people. He said that the only mention of God in the Bible is in the beginning when the universe was being made. He said that after that all references are to ‘out of the sky’ or ‘out of heaven.’”

                    George Van Tassel

The FBI agent present at the gig also reported: “He said that this is due to the fact that man, space people, was made by God and that in the beginning of the world the space people came to the earth and left animals here. These were the prehistoric animals which existed at a body temperature of 105 degrees; however a polar tilt occurred whereby the poles shifted and the tropical climates became covered with ice and vice versa. After the polar tilt the temperature to sustain life was 98.6 degrees, which was suitable for space people, so they established a colony and left only males here, intending to bring females at a latter date on supply ships. This is reflected in Adam not having a wife. He said that Adam was not an individual but a race of men.”

And there was more: “[Van Tassel] said that this race then inter-married with ‘intelligent, upright walking animals,’ which race was EVE. Then, when the space people came back in the supply ships they saw what had happened and did not land but ever since due to the origin of ADAM, they have watched over the people on Earth. He said that this is in the Bible many times, such as MOSES receiving the Ten Commandments. He said the Ten Commandments are the laws of the space people and men on earth only give them lip service. Also, the manna from heaven was bread supplied by the space people.”

Also contained in the FBI’s file is the following, which covers that same 1960 lecture in Denver: “[Van Tassel] also stated that this can be seen from the native stories such as the Indians in America saying that corn and potatoes, unknown in Europe were brought here by a ‘flaming canoe.’ He said that this can be shown also by the old stories of Winged Chariots and Winged white Horses, which came from out of the sky. He said that JESUS was born of MARY, who was a space person sent here already pregnant in order to show the earth people the proper way to live. He said the space people have watched over us through the years and have tried to help us. He said they have sent their agents to the earth and they appear just as we do; however, they have the power to know your thoughts just as JESUS did. He said this is their means of communication and many of the space people are mute, but they train a certain number of them to speak earth languages.”
