Netflix’ ‘Top Secret UFO Projects’ Series Offers Condescending Psychobabble

• Top Secret UFO Projects: Declassified is a six part series on Netflix that debuted on August 3rd. The show features “The most recent information and proof exposing the most top-secret government projects that handled contact with and cover-ups of, extraterrestrial presence on Earth”, says the show synopsis. “Though claims of extraterrestrial encounters have long been dismissed, many believe the existence of UFOs is not just likely, but a certainty.”

• Each episode focuses on a different theory, the first being Project Blue Book. Another episode examines whether the US Army has physical evidence of an alien spacecraft. The series will show how sightings of alien life have been talked about by the governments in the UK, US and the former Soviet Union since the end of WWII.

• In the past decade, with the rise in the interest in extraterrestrial life, more conspiracy theories have also developed around climate change, the flat Earth, and the coronavirus pandemic. Psychotherapist and life coach Andre Radmall says that those who have been “let down by life” are more likely to hold on to such ideas. “The world is unstable,” says Radmall, “and so perhaps it is not surprising that some people look for unseen forces that might be pulling the strings behind the scenes. A kind of Wizard of Oz.”

• “These people hope there is a conspiracy, because at least then someone has a plan,” Radmall continues. “For them, a conspiracy theory can be a convenient hook upon which to hang their anxiety. Psychologically we all tend to want an explanation, a cause for our sense of unease and stress.” “[T]his crystallization of fears and anxieties into a conspiracy story can be both addictive, compelling and hard to give up.” Conspiracy theories “offer meaning and purpose in a world that often seems chaotic”.

• Senior lecturer in psychology at Northumbria University Dr. Daniel Jolley chimed in: “These (conspiracy) theories are entertaining…novel and attention-grabbing, which is enticing. They can make the everyday appear more exciting. What hidden worlds exist that the government is hiding? It turns every day into a sci-fi film.” “[E]xposure to conspiracy theories can change the way we think and behave. One conspiracy belief feeds into another – UFO cover-ups to deny the existence of climate change. Conspiracy beliefs merge because both assume a secret group is covering up information for their self-interest. A distrust is developed, where an overriding suspicion is asserted.”

• Netflix states: “Though claims of extraterrestrial encounters have long been dismissed, many believe the existence of UFOs is not just likely, but a certainty.” According to Dr Jolley, such theories could be detrimental to individuals and society as once they have formed, they are difficult to “debunk”.

• [Editor’s Note]   This article reveals how mainstream mental health professionals and academia is still clinging to the deep state notion that UFO’s, extraterrestrials and the government’s cover up of them are merely empty conspiracy theories propagated by people who need to believe in them to make up for something lacking in their own lives. But in reality, these pseudo-intellectuals carrying on the propaganda set forth by the deep state without even realizing it. So the true conspiracy theory here is how all of the so-called experts and academics could become so brain-washed as to refuse to acknowledge what they can see with their own eyes and prove with just a minimum of open-minded research?

Tuesday, August 3. The six-part series delves into various claims of people who have seen and been in contact with aliens as well as those who believe governments are misleading the general public. But what is it that makes people get so invested in such theories?
Why do people obsess over conspiracy theories?

The Netflix synopsis for the show says it will feature: “The most recent information and proof exposing the most top-secret government projects that handled contact with and cover-ups of, extraterrestrial presence on Earth.

“Though claims of extraterrestrial encounters have long been dismissed, many believe the existence of UFOs is not just likely, but a certainty.”

Each episode is going to focus on a different theory, the first being Project Blue Book which is

meant to be a record and analysis of UFO observations.

As well as this, there will be an instalment dedicated to the theory that the USA Army has physical evidence of an alien spacecraft.

Top Secret UFO Projects is also going to “prove” that sightings of alien life have been talked about by the governments in the UK, United States and the former Soviet Union since the end of the Second World War.

In the past decade, there has been a rise in the interest in Extraterrestrial life and so more conspiracy theories have developed.

They don’t just revolve around alien life either with many believed concerning climate change, the Earth being flat and most recently the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, psychotherapist and life coach Andre Radmall explained his views on those who live by such theories.

Look for Ancient Alien Spacecraft on the Moon, Mars and Mercury Say NASA Scientists

• In 1993, pressure by budget-conscious politicians stopped NASA funding of programs searching for extraterrestrial life in the solar system. But in recent decades, NASA has been working more and more with organizations such as SETI – the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence. But a recent NASA-funded study paper published in the journal Acta Astronautica suggests that as NASA goes about its business in space, perhaps it should also keep an eye out for ‘technosignatures’ – or evidence of technology or industrial activity – without much additional spending.

• The study paper suggests that a permanent radio telescope could be set up on the far side of the Moon to search for alien signals. Interstellar probes from extraterrestrial civilizations might have been sent into our solar system long ago, and there may be artifacts or aliens “lurking” on asteroids or UFO crash sites on other planets giving off a laser or radio signal. “Such artifacts might have been captured by solar system bodies into stable orbits or they might even have crashed on planets, asteroids or moons,” reads the paper. “Bodies with old surfaces such as those of the Moon or Mars might still exhibit evidence for such collisions.”

• About every 100,000 years, the closest star ‘Proxima Centauri’ comes within nearly a light-year from the Sun – one quarter its usual distance. So there have been literally “tens of thousands” of opportunities for a technologically advanced civilization from that system to launch probes into our solar system, according to the paper.

• The study includes a list of nine ways that NASA missions could detect observational “proof of extraterrestrial life” beyond Earth in our solar system and beyond:

1. Conduct ultra-high resolution scans of the surfaces of the Moon, Mars, Mercury and Ceres for signs of impact or artifacts in crash sites that could be millions and billions of years old.

2. Look for CFC gases or nitrogen dioxide – pollutions typically associated with industrial activity or a byproduct of combustion or nuclear technology around distant exoplanets.

3. Conduct an all-sky survey using an infrared space telescope to search for “waste heat emission” from technological waste or Dyson spheres.

4. Put a permanent radio telescope dish on the “radio-quiet” far side of the Moon to conduct super-sensitive searches for distant technosignatures, free of human radio contamination.

5. Look for aliens and alien artifacts lurking on resources-rich asteroids orbiting the Sun with Earth.

6. Have an intercept mission ready to launch when a target like ‘Oumuamua’ next presents itself, tumbling through our solar system. The Vera C. Rubin Observatory’s all-sky surveys that is scheduled to begin later this year may very well find such a rogue object heading towards our star system.

7. Search existing NASA and academic data for objects in orbit around known exoplanets, atmospheric pollution and night-time illumination on exoplanets.

8. Conduct all-sky infrared laser pulse searches for in visible light and in wide regions.

9. Identify small asteroids under 10m in diameter that we may have previously overlooked, that may be artificial.

• [Editor’s Note]   If deep state fronts such as NASA and SETI truly did any of these obvious things that their study paper suggests, they would find that we inhabit a solar system and star sector of this galaxy that is absolutely teaming with technologically advanced extraterrestrial activity. Of course, the deep state knows this. This is why they make a big deal out of publishing their “latest efforts” in their never-ending search for signs of extraterrestrial life. It is all for show.

 

From UFO crash sites on other planets and aliens “lurking” on asteroids to a permanent radio telescope on the far side of the Moon, a new NASA-funded study into the search for intelligent extraterrestrial life (SETI) details how future NASA missions could purposefully look for the “technosignatures” of advanced alien civilizations.

Described as evidence for the use of technology or industrial activity in other parts of the Universe, the search for technosignatures has barely begun, but could unearth something surprising without much additional spend, says the study.

After more or less ceasing its search for technosignatures in 1993 after pressure by politicians, NASA has become increasingly involved in SETI.

 ‘Oumuamua’ – rogue asteroid or alien tech?

Published in the specialized journal Acta Astronautica, the study includes a list of what’s NASA missions could detect as observational “proof of extraterrestrial life” beyond Earth.

Perhaps most intriguingly, the paper suggests that interstellar probes might have been sent into the Solar System a long time ago, perhaps during the last close encounter of our Sun with other stars.

The closest star to the Sun right now, Proxima Centauri, is over 4.2 light-years distant, but roughly every 100,000 years a star comes within nearly a light-year from the Sun. There have therefore been “tens of thousands” of opportunities for technologies similar to ours to have launched probes into our Solar System, according to the paper.

Pentagon UFO Program Still Exists. But Navy’s Alien Sightings Don’t Add Up.

• The New York Times recently reported that in spite of a Pentagon UFO research program being shut down in 2012, a new one has taken its place. This gives a hundred million Americans hope that there must be something worth looking at… aliens perhaps?

• When The New York Times reported in 2017 that Navy pilots captured video of a UFO outmaneuvering their jets over the Pacific Ocean, they felt compelled to look into it due to national security concerns. Or is this a ruse by the government to make the public think that the military thinks that these are probably Russian or Chinese technologies, so that the public won’t be thrown “into chaos”?

• The NY Times also revealed that the government has in its possession “retrieved materials” that are “not made on this Earth”, and possibly even recovered alien spacecraft. This claim seems suspect. The Navy pilots didn’t report picking up pieces of alien technology or strange metal alloys, so it’s unclear where these “materials” came from. This is a case where seeing might be believing. But no one has let us see anything, which is convenient.

• Senator Marco Rubio, R-Fla., says he is especially concerned by the fact that the extraterrestrials spend a lot of time hanging out above our military bases. But why would such technologically advanced aliens travel trillions of miles to our planet just to ‘play cat-and-mouse’ with Navy jets and monitor our far-less advanced weaponry? Perhaps these aliens come as saviors to protect us from ourselves.

• No, aliens wouldn’t be interested in our pitiful technology. If unidentified craft or drones are watching our military capabilities, then it is more likely they are Russian or Chinese intelligence. Humans are too quick to ascribe strange phenomena to superhuman beings, much as the Greeks believed that lightning bolts were javelins tossed by Zeus. There is no solid ‘science’ that supports these unidentified objects being extraterrestrial.

• The Office of Naval Intelligence will supposedly make regular reports on at least some of its UFO findings. Is this good news for the Fox Mulder crowd who ‘want to believe’ in UFOs? Or will it rob these believers of their best evidence – which is no evidence at all?

• [Editor’s Note]   As the Senior Astronomer for the SETI Institute (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) which peers at distant stars through radio telescopes looking for clues of extraterrestrial civilizations, Seth Shostak’s continuing fame and fortune lies in never finding any aliens at all, so he can keep on “searching”.

To this end, he pens this article that twists and contorts until he finally reaches his foregone conclusion – that extraterrestrials have not yet come to this planet. Shostak’s tortured premise is that highly advanced extraterrestrial beings would have no interest in our inferior technology, although the Russians or the Chinese may have. To believe that UFOs are of an extraterrestrial origin is a testament to the feeble human mind that ascribes anything unknown to supernatural causes. There is no hard science supporting alien technology, and there are no ‘alien materials’ or recovered alien craft in the government’s possession.

Shostak is a proud standard-bearer for the Deep State, continuing to debunk the extraterrestrial presence in any way he can, just as others before him have done for over seventy years. He must be aware that aliens exist here in our solar system. But his job is to lie to the public and attempt to make a mockery of the UFO disclosure movement, while posing as a responsible scientist. Unfortunately for Shostak, more and more people are waking up to this deceit and recognizing him for the despicable charlatan that he is.

 

Is it vindication at last? The New York Times has recently reported that a supposedly canceled Pentagon project to investigate

strange aerial phenomena is still showing a pulse. The clandestine effort, originally known as the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, was said to have ended in 2012. But, apparently, it’s still doing its thing under the auspices of the U.S. Office of Naval Intelligence, and with a new name: the Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon Task Force.

So, where there’s smoke, there’s fire, right? If the feds are still forking over tax dollars to delve into odd goings-on in the sky, it must be because they’ve got convincing evidence of extraterrestrial visitors. That’s the hope of the 100 million or so Americans who seem willing to swear on the Good Book that unidentified flying objects are, at least in some cases, alien objects.

But as with everything UFO-related, it’s worth taking a second, or third, look before rushing to lay out the red carpet for alien houseguests. When, in 2017, the Times first reported on a secret project to study unidentified aerial phenomena, it was in connection with some puzzling videos taken by Navy fighter pilots over the Pacific. The video showed unidentified objects ahead of the jets, objects that seemed to maneuver in bizarre ways. The military has always wanted to know about anything that can fly, so there are plenty of national security reasons for why they would continue such research.

That’s the most straightforward explanation for why the Navy has extended the Pentagon program. It’s also what they’ve said.
But isn’t it possible that what’s really going on here is not an investigation into unknown aircraft or drones, but a distraction to keep us from a more disturbing truth — that UFOs aren’t enemy flying machines, but alien flying machines? Maybe the government doesn’t want to admit this, because they figure the news might throw society into chaos.
